I've always hated Grayson Allen. Never liked the kid, never
liked him at all, didn't like especially don't like him now.
After the tide breaking three he makes to give the
Bucks the win over the Knicks and the five thirty seconds,
everything was going fine and Grason Allen makes a three
and the game is over and we lose. Nixio. It's okay, buddy,

(01:09):
you were destined to lose that game. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
that's true. Honest. Thirty seven, thirteen and seven, Holiday had
his big day and we can say holiday, holiday, holiday,
I would say it thrice, so nice. Uh. He was
one of four, was Grace and Allen from three point
range tonight just made that one, that's all, he made,

(01:30):
just one. Yeah, what's up Frost Park? If only the
next played their best game tonight, man, they could have
pulled it out. Dude, you're really gonna run this from
last night with soccer? Are you really gonna run it
the ground? Yo? Hey, you know just like tonight? Yea, hey, listen,
we're ten and twelve. Everything is fine. You know, we'd
be in first place in the Western It's two there,

(01:52):
yelling run it back. What's the Lakers record? Let me
look and see here they are they ten and twelve?
The Lakers are? They are the Lakers ten and twelve
are the Lakers has more double doubles than in and out.
I'm sorry, they're seven and twelve. I'm sorry. So they're three.
I'm sorry they're they're there, two games out of last
place in the Western Conference. Okay, just wanted to make
sure they got in the Sunday night. Oh they yeah,

(02:14):
they they they took the Chargers out and they put
in the Lakers on Sunday night. Uh no. You know.
The funny thing is, you know you mentioned the World Cup,
and I was thinking about this today, Mike. Obviously there's
some crazy ass stuff going on today in the World Cup.
But this high breakers firings, you name it. Oh yeah, Look,
the mec Mexico wins, but they don't make it to
the to the knockout round. So the coach gets fired
and he, you know, falls on the sword. It's my

(02:37):
fault that we have lost. This this is and the
horrendous outcome. It's like when coaches get fired in soccer.
It's like they're giving their final, their final addressed to
everyone before they get shot off into space and we're
never gonna see them again. It is my fault. I
I presided over this and this is absolutely unacceptable. And
then that's kind of how it goes. It's not like

(02:57):
in the NFL or or Major League based a where well,
you know, maybe the rebuild need a little bit longer
than I thought. A couple of things happen outside my control.
No no, no, no, no, no, no no, you get
stuff in soccer like, I fully assume responsibility for this
great failure, right, which is what do martin exact? Quote,
I'm sitting there. I want an autograph card or this guy,

(03:17):
So if someone could find one, I'm putting him on
my wall because this guy took full responsibility. Quote. My
contract ended as soon as the referee blew the final whistle,
and there's nothing more to be done. They were taking
all Mexico gear off of him. Hey, give me all
your Mexico your contracts up. Now, give me the terraway
we bought this. Shoot, let's go give me all this. Yeah,

(03:38):
this sod is ours. I'm sorry. You know what, Keep
the shirt. We don't want you to walk off with
those shirt on. Keep does your give us the suit,
give us the suspenders, anything Mexico you have. I'm sorry,
that's that's coming with us. And your cab is right
outside the stadium. I just get getting right outside there. Yeah,
that's outscalating quickly. What would have been even worse, snow
as if it had gone to the next tiebreaker, which
was um yellow cards. That's great about it? If you

(04:01):
went out because of yellow cards. Now look now that
was the big yellow right, the Mexico the Mexico's group
Group C stands for chaos, right, that was a big thing.
Today Argentina wins to move on, and Mexico and Poland
potentially we're coming down to a tiebreaker to move on.
And the tiebreaker they would have gotten to would have

(04:21):
been whoever had the fewest yellow cards, So sportsmanship would
have decided who moves on. Now, it didn't wind up
getting there because there was a couple of goals that
were scored. But for a long time it looked like
it's gonna be yellow card. It's gonna be which would
take us back to the most pure thing of sports. Right, Oh,
it's sportsmanship that decides how to move on. And and
Poland would have fewer yellow cards in Mexico, So this

(04:43):
is what would be the big, the big tiebreaker. And
I love that. I thought if this happened, this would
be the greatest thing in the world, because when I
can sit here and think about the NFL going, how
about if we break tiebreakers for playoff spots. You've got
two teams tied at nine and eight, do you have
a tiebreaker head to head? No, not applicable breaker, tiebreaker
for the conference schedule. No, not applicable. What is applicable
fewest penalties on the season, So we give the best sports,

(05:05):
which whoever committed the fewest penalties moves onto the playoffs.
I would have dug that that would have been a
fun thing to do. Is it all penalties or do
we just make it pre snap because then you you
should lose because you were dumb? Or do you want
to make it personal foul penalties? How we can do
that too? Like that? Would you know? Because yet because
the foul is a foul, but you get a yellow car? Yeah, okay, okay,

(05:26):
so you need you need to amp it up a bit.
It would need to be you can't just do penalty.
It would need to be like personal foul fifteen yard penalties.
That would be what what would do it that? That's
the equivalent see problem solving? I like that right there,
and don't forget Hey the Jets. The Jets only have
eleven personal foul penalties this year and the Chargers have
forty six, So hey, they that tiebreaker? The Jets really had,

(05:48):
they gotta work cut out four if they're gonna want
to get to that forty six. That would be great.
By the way, at the end of the World Cup,
I don't think they hand out any uh golden balls
like the Lady Bing Trophy. Okay, uh win and you're
the best player and that's it. Yes, So the sportsman
ship thing, I don't know. It's subjective. Yeah, Soccer is

(06:09):
not really a sport where you think about sportsmanship. If
you think all that's great, I don't think about soccer
is sportsmanship. It's not. I do not. Wow, look at you,
did you? You really? You? You lost money on the Unity.
You really bet Iran to win. You in the Iron
Cheek bet Iran to beat the United States. You've been
bitter about this. United States went for like I'm gonna
come to your house with the Iron Cheeks clubs. You've

(06:33):
been so but you know the about this World Cup, right,
this is where I'm at after today and you saw
some crazy results. Tunisia beats France one nothing in a shocker, right,
Mexico is a goal right at the end. Yeah, it
was the final minute from France. The guy did the
penguin walk and everything and then they took it away.

(06:56):
It's been insane, right, Argentina was in trouble early. You
know the biggest upset World Cup history. You know, Mexico
is out there not advancing to the knockout round for
the first time in forty four years. I'm telling you,
and this is why. Another reason why I love where
the United States is because the theme of this World Cup,
the theme of this World Cup at this point for
the teams of the knockout round is why not Us?

(07:18):
This is not a World Cup where normally you look
up and go, man, how are we gonna beat Germany?
How are we going to beat the Germany's not Germany
is not unbeatable. The Netherlands is that the Netherlands from
fifteen years ago. There's nobody at the top where you go, boy,
good luck getting by them. There are no teams that way.
This World Cup is so wide open that needs to
be the mantra why not US? And that's why you
can buy In certain years. It's tough. I get it

(07:40):
because you're saying, how are we gonna beat Brazil? How
are we gonna beat them? How are you gonna be?
How I understand? How are we gonna beat France? France
is so good. There's three or four teams at the
top that are just better than everybody else, and it's
gonna be impossible not this year? Telling you why not us?
That should be the theme for all the teams and
knocketting round of the World Cup, because you really can
be whe of us, because you can make cases for
a lot of days. Hey, how many of these teams

(08:00):
can make it to the final four? A lot of
them can? The United States beats Netherlands. They might get
a great draw getting getting past that next game and
into the final four. So it's there, it's there for everybody.
I'm telling you, why not us? That should be the
whole thing for the World Cup this year. Yeah. People
do that every Friday Saturday night. They get together with
their jackass buddies and they're gonna go try to find

(08:21):
themselves some good times and loving and they say, why
not us? I just wanted, Wow, I didn't know. I
didn't know. That's where you're going with that. I was saying, Man,
was that harmon in college? He's playing music? It ready
to go out? Why not me? Might have been Monday night? No,
not this bladder bust I'm going to is gonna be

(08:42):
the best bladder bust ever? Why not me? I can
hold it in for a long time. Why not that
Judd had a huge hit called why not Me way
back in the day. Look it up. But the idea, um, uh,
just that you got through the regular the knockout, you're
into the knockout ounds, right, so you go through group
play and you wonder on some level And this is

(09:05):
me with my cautiousness, right, the fiscal conservative uh conservatory
kind of thing, conservatism where you say, did did teams
just decide to get through and and then now we
unleash hell right, sitting players down or or substitutions or
strategies or whatever. It's like, now that's we we get

(09:27):
through that and what we'll be able to get through,
and now we get to the knockout round and it's like,
all right, different teams. That's my only fear in this process,
particularly when the United States struggles to score, Like that's
that's my biggest They got through and you you move on,
it's they where are you gonna find goals? That's it?
And here comes Backham. But sometimes you only need one.

(09:50):
Sometimes you only need one, buddy, only need one to
find the back of that. And you only need one, yeah,
assuming you're getting two penalties. See you look what you're
doing already going into penalty shots, Buddy, Come on, buddy,
win the game in regulation, Buddy. I'm taking the strategy
Iran took yesterday where in the first minute you knew, Hey,
we're just playing to tie this game, all right, we

(10:11):
don't we don't need to take this free kick we're
getting in the first twenty seconds. We're gonna wait, that
was good that we don't really wanted to make sure
he spun it perfectly. Uh. On the I don't know
what the conversation those two guys were having, though I
would have loved them to be miked up. Can we
get a hard knocks on that? I'm sure it was this.
It was, Hey, do you think coach is gonna be happy?
We're wasting a lot of time? But yeah, we're already

(10:32):
a minute and we had eighty nine more minutes left
of a tie. Yeah, let's just stay here for until
they make us kick it. Yeah, how long do you think?
I don't know a little while it almost worked like
but one of those like five six minutes in, they
had that one barrage, I'm like, this is all going
down right here, and then I and then the United
States finally cleared the zone. But it was the moment
of wow, they have now put seven eight balls in

(10:53):
towards the net. All right, blocked away whatever, but it's
still pressure and you can see the the eyes widening, like, wow,
we got ourselves Sicanta. And then they backed off from there.
I'm like, all right, you had you had a big
moment and then you backed off. What are you doing?
You play to win the game? Twitter and out about

I I really thought that, oh they're gonna pull this off,
and they're gonna pull it. The Knicks are gonna pull
this off. We're gonna do it. They're gonna pull us
off there, but and now they didn't pull it off.

My best friend Mike Harmon. We could talk about how
complicated other banks making trade um credit card rewards, or
we could talk about how with Discover you can redeem
your rewards for cash in any amount of any time.
I mean talk about amazing learn more discovered dot com
slash redeem rewards terms they do apply. Well, Yeah, tonight
it's gonna be a Fleetwood McKnight after the shocking news
today the death of one of their founding members, lead

(12:22):
singer Christine McVie, who died at the age of seventy
nine after a short illness. My dad is absolutely inconsolable.
He's texting me, right, did you see this news? Did
you see what happened? He went to see him in
concert like a year ago when they were here, and
I think everybody was just taken by complete surprise at
this news. And it's it's one of those stories that

(12:43):
as the day has gone on. It's just kind of
mushroomed and people are really just kind of wrapping their
heads around that. You know, Look, Fleetwood Mac is rock
and roll. I mean, you you want to tell the
story of rock and roll, it's Fleetwood Mac. It's a
band where the women and the male members were equal.
They were the first band to really have that. They
dated each other, they broke up with each other, they
left the band, they came back to the band. They

(13:05):
had all kinds of crazy sorted past, and they still
kept putting out hit music for the entire seventies, the
entire eighties. I mean, the story of Fleetwood Mac is
the story of rock and roll. Right, one of the
biggest bands in the world. And Christine McVie, who wrote
half of their hits, all great songs like you Heard
Their Dreams, will play a whole bunch throughout the show tonight. Um.
It really was something. And and and Pam and I spent

(13:27):
a lot of time at lunch just talking about Christine
mcveighe and Fleetwood Mac. And when we first started listening
to Fleetwood Mac, I was in everybody comes around them
at a different time, right, I was in the early
eighties when Little Lies was big, and then I got
into the distography they had before that in the seventies,
and some people came to them in the late eighties,
um when Everywhere was their big hit and that was
trending all over the place today, another big Christine McVie song,

(13:50):
and it's it's one of those stories that it's a
conversation everywhere you go. Rest in peace, Christine mcviigh. Yeah,
short illness. And we saw the note that it's Eevie
Nicks put up using a a some song lyrics from him,
uh to kind of talk about her processing it that
she'd gotten a notice on Saturday of what was going

(14:12):
going on. So that's it just a matter of a
couple of days. Seventy nine years old and and I
certainly don't you know that's not old in I guess
twenty two years. But seventy nine is a pretty good run. Uh,
you know, and when you when all things considered, when
you but as you mentioned, right, you've got aba where

(14:36):
you everybody was married, divorced, and then the band, you know,
the guys stayed cordial, one of the women became a recluse,
all of those kind of things that you you kind
of they went off on their own and it built
off of MoMA Me and everything else, you know, in
part of the playtone galaxy, but for Stevin, for Stevin Nicks,
for Christie mcve for the band, like it was a living,

(14:58):
breathing organism all these years, different ins out, firings, uh
and entanglements and to your point, on tour and tour
that they would keep adding dates to because the popularity
was there where wherever you came in and that continuum
so uh, pretty amazing run uh and and piece of

(15:18):
news that you know, out of out of the blue.
At this point, you know, you pause and you think
of your history with the band. Another one in the
eclectic record collection that my dad had, which was pretty
much all over the place. Here, let's play some Black
Sabbath and now let's follow it up with Fleetwood Mac,
like you know those things that that I remember as
a kid. So um, good thoughts to the family, friends

(15:41):
and the legacy and spin those records. Turn them up loud.
So there's some Fleetwood Mac tonight, and I'm sure Tysher
will be hearing Fleetwood Max songs for the first time,
and I have no idea that's what's the whole group.
It's not one person only one person singing though. It's
but but there's other people playing instruments too. No, people
don't play instruments anymore. No, they did back then they were.

(16:03):
It wasn't all just on computers like it is now.
I'm sure people actually played the instruments. Yeah, no, No, there,
go ahead. I was gonna say, there's there's video of
people actually playing the drums, playing the guitar. Now. Lindsey
Buckingham is photo shopped in and out of every Fleetwood
depending on if he's friends with the band or not.
Who was oh hey, hey, hey too soon? We saw

(16:24):
the we saw hey U ty shirt? Did you ever
see the Running Many Well, Mick Fleetwood was in that
the drummer. Yeah, not the one with Colin Farrell, the original,
the one that was directed by Paul Michael Glazer. By
the way, I have a friend named Paul Glazer who
often would get fan mail for Paul Michael Glazer. Does
he on the Buccaneers? No different spelling in the whole

(16:48):
nine yards? I would send stuff to Ski and Hutch.
You meant to send this to David Soul. Send this
back to David Soul. Don't give up on us right there.
That's a good gives ump on us. Now. Uh so
the college football Playoff. If you wanted a twelve team
playoff and you wanted it, now, now, now, now, now,

(17:09):
you are going to get it. By now, I mean
the Rose Bowl was given a deadline of today to
get on board and get on board with the new
expanded playoff. You want to host a game or you're
gonna be left out of it. Well, the Rose Ball said,
wait a minute, we could not be a part of
the playoff, or we could be. Let's be a part
of the playoff. Hey, it's all good. The last remaining

(17:29):
obstacle to clearing the teams to get to twelve for
four and beyond has been cleared. The Rose Bowls agreed
to terms. So now we're gonna get twelve teams, a
twelve team playoff beginning in two So one more year
of four teams and then we're gonna get It's gonna
be awesome, right, It's gonna be awesome, awesome, awesome. But

(17:50):
here's the thing, right, because you're still gonna see many
people saying, uh, you know, I I don't know, man,
it's you're you're taking off the cheapness of the games,
and you're making things is as as water down as
you could be, and you take away the special of
the specialness of the Michigan Ohio State game, which I'm like, dude,
come on, you can't take away the specialists of Michigan
Ohio State. You can take away what they're playing for,

(18:11):
but you can't take away the specialists of the game.
But for everybody who says this, Mike and I think
this should be this is like the definitive argument to say, Okay,
it's better to have more teams in right, oh Michigan
Ohio State wouldn't have meant as much this weekend. Okay,
you're probably you're right, because both teams would have had
a place in the playoff. If you're talking about twelve teams,
it still would have been the biggest game of the week.

(18:31):
Everybody still would have watched. Michigan's trying their best to
be Ohio. No one's resting a starting quarterback against Ohio State,
no one's resting their running backs against Michigan. You're still
getting a great game. But here's where the rest of
it gets big. Because college football Saturday, at the end
of the year starts to look like a big college football,
a college basketball n c A tournament day, because you

(18:52):
know it would be a really big deal. Uh last
week If Ohio State Michigan is not as big a day, well,
you know it's pretty big. Florida State, Florida is pretty big.
They would have tried. Because Florida State was trying to
get in the top twelve. That's a big game. You say,
U C L A Cal that's a big game. They're
trying to get into the top twelve. Right all these
other teams playing this weekend, it would have been big
games for them. Big for South Carolina and Clemson. Big

(19:14):
for Oregon Oregon State. There ain't ninth and twenty feet.
They're both trying to get in the top twelve. Tennessee
Vanderbilt's a big game. Michigan State, Penn State's a big game.
Penn State's trying to stay in the top twelve. Kansas State,
Kansas is a big game. Washington, Washington State is a
big game. Washington's trying to stay in the playoff bowl.
You talk, Colorado is a big game. As you talk
tries to crack the top twelve. I just gave you

(19:36):
like twelve games that would have meant something to not
only those teams, but teams trying to get in that
are on the outside looking in. So you tell me, Okay, yes,
Ohio State, Michigan. It would have had a little bit
less with it, but I just gave you twelve games
that would have meant way more. And you're talking about
the last couple of weeks of the season, twelve more
games every week that will mean a hell of a

(19:56):
lot more because you're talking about positioning yourself to be
in the top twelve. So yeah, I think this is
the only argument you need to know that. Okay, expanding
teams of the playoffs, this is this is the all
you need right here. Yeah, anybody that wants to go
and keep singing the song from Fiddler on the Roof
yelling tradition, tradition should have walked away from microphones a
long time ago, because the sporting landscape hasn't looked the

(20:19):
same in any way, shape or form for any of
these sports for a very long time. And if we
look at college football, the changes and the rapid pace
that things have been torn asunder, shifted, repackaged and sent
back up has been mind bending. Right. We talked about
the n i L rules, We talk about the transfer portal,

(20:39):
we talk about team shifting, conferences, conference realignments, conference deciding.
All right, when we're no longer doing divisions, we're just
gonna go one through nineties seven or however many teams
we include all of those things. Uh, it's it's been
a rapid pace and you have to pause, take a
deep breath and recognize that you're trying to figure out
how the best product works. And that's what it is.

(21:02):
It's a consumable and it always has been. Just now
there's extra zeros behind it. And to do that as
you sell those rights away and people compete for them.
And with the Rose Bowl, I'm sure someone finally said,
you realize how much money this really generates for everybody involved? Right? Uh,
that that's the bottom line to it. And with all
the games you mentioned, all fantastic, all the games that

(21:25):
we're gonna be also rans, guess what, they're still also rans.
They still mean stuff to those respective schools, whether they're
fighting for an old oaken bucket, Floyd of Rosedale, the
old pig, uh, you know, and all of those things
that you had, those traditions in the Big Ten and
go conference the conference, those school rivalries are not being muted.
For Ohio State Michigan, even if yes, both teams were in,

(21:49):
you still want seating. You still have an undefeated season.
For Jim Harbaugh, it meant an extra half a million dollars,
not to mention a lot of blank use that that
he was able to dish out to media members that
have doubted him every step of the way. There's so
much ancillary value to it beyond the game being played
that you have to take it in totality and conference

(22:12):
to conference. There's so much juice to it college football
on a week to week basis, Jason, as we talked
about all the time, it's a regional game, except when
you start getting down the stretch or you have those
matchups or breakthrough players that captivate a nation. Beyond that,
we're getting down to the final weeks. You get into

(22:34):
your TV member, right, we look at Saturday with the
conference championships, must see TV because there's still potential for
chaos there. But last week, yeah, wall to wall from
nine am all the way through. Hell do it like
they schedule like they're doing in Cutter Qatar, whatever we're
calling it this week, that we can take it and
we start a game at two am, because we could

(22:55):
run them all back to back to back and been
enthralled the entire way. I mean, it's it's when when
any any time you add more. I don't know anything
that is better with less ingredients. Now, certainly things are
more healthy for you, the less ing greenishoff. But I
don't know anything that tastes better the less ingredients you
have in then, and and more is good. More is

(23:16):
good for anything involving more in the playoffs is good.
I can tell you the ingredients thing. I mean you
you obviously don't cook, so yeah, you can send that
to hell pretty fast. No, no, I need you gotta.
You gotta put stuff in to make it taste better.
You can't just say all right, here's flour and start.
You gotta put stuff. But what I'm saying is that
it's at some point, depending on the type of dish

(23:37):
you making, going, hey, I found an empty full jar this, Yeah,
throw a little of that bad boy in there. Now.
Sometimes they don't mix. Oh no, no, no, no, I'm
not one of those guys in the kitchen going just
grab anything and and and I'm like dancing to a
song and I feel like a say, just putting a
dollar for this and a dash of this and a
sprinkle of this. No, no, no, but you need to
put stuff in, you peap more ingredients in to make

(23:58):
stuff taste good. Yeah, okay, let's don't say, oh, you
know what would make this taste better if we take
this out? No, wet, let's go. We add a little salt,
we gotta add a little bit of paprika, we gotta
add a little bit of keen, while we gotta add
to it's adding stuff and it makes it better. It's
the same thing for this, my my favorite of the
Triple D recipes, where it's guys like salt liberally, some pepper,

(24:19):
and then we add the water. We're just gonna let
that Brian for a while. It goes that's it, and
you can see they'll just look of disappointment. I got
any space like it. I don't have any other stuff.
I get to throw it there. No, that's it, that's all.
That's all. But yes, twelve teams, let's go, let's get there.
It's more for people to bet because we keep seeing
those numbers up and up, and up, and so the

(24:41):
gravity gravity uh really adds to that as well. Be
sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show
with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific,
Fox Sports Radio. The Jason Smith Show with My best
Friend Mike Harmon. In the movie Draft Day, Kevin Costner
was a little concerned about rafting bow Callaghan, quarterback out

(25:02):
of Wisconsin. I didn't know if he'd like what he
saw on tape, didn't know what he liked what he
saw when Vonte Mack was lined up opposite him, and
really started to question things when he found out that
nobody on Wisconsin came to bow Callaghan's birthday party. Asked
him about it on a big phone call before the draft.
Both Callahan said, Sir, I don't real remember much of
that night at all. Why did no one go to

(25:24):
bow Callahan's birthday party? Why do we bring this up? Well,
because this happened with Russell Wilson. Mike Cliss, who was
a Broncos insider he and I follow each other on Twitter,
put out this tweet earlier today in regards to Russell Wilson.
There's been some gossip about Russell Wilson standing in the
locker room. Here's some context per source, Wilson's wife, Sierra

(25:48):
threw him a birthday party last night, and it looked
like about half the team was there on players days off,
So not nobody came to Russell Wilson's birthday party, but
half the team came to Russell Wilson's birthday party. So
that means half the team did not go to Russell
Wilson's birthday party. So not quite bo callahan, but half

(26:10):
the team came. Do you know which half? Well, let's see.
I would say not the offense because they stink, But
then I would say the defense hates them too, So
I don't know. Maybe maybe maybe some of the backups came.
I think it was guys that he doesn't even come
to my party. Come do you think he was at practice? Yes,
to go here, come to my party. To that here,

(26:32):
come to my party, Come to my party, Come to
my party, Come to my party, Come to my party. Well,
part of it it becomes a al right, when was
notice sent out, and it's quick to jump to the
they all hate him because it does flow straight to
the Wisconsin quarterback. Al right, because it's always been as soon. Hey,
it's Johnny Man's el What if it wasn't. What if
this had been uncovered years ago that there was a

(26:53):
liking problem that teammates had with a certain Wisconsin quarterback
named Russell Wilson. Uh that, then you can just put it.
You can put both Callahan in there too, well both
Callahan slash Russell Wilson. That you know, it made it
into this fictional account. It is the player's day off,
so the expectation that you'd have some attendants it's not

(27:16):
not fair, But it's also given the optics of it all,
I think a lot of players, uh that maybe on
the having the problem with Russell Wilson, maybe it's their
chance to make a statement. But I would imagine there's
a plenty of others, given the their druggs would just
be like, at least I need to show up because
if this looks bad, it makes our season that much

(27:38):
more clown worthy. And that's where we're at today. But
here's the thing. Here's why this is a big deal.
And I'm channeling my inner kind of Kevin Costner right now,
here's why this is a big deal. All right, the
player's day off. You would expect most people. You have
a day off and there's a big party. This was
not Hey, we're meeting up at Chuck e Cheese for
dinner at seth. This is not This is not we're

(28:00):
all gonna go to the bar at seven thirty. This
is Sierra is throwing a birthday party for Russell Wilson.
You know it's gonna be a big deal. Who wouldn't
want to go to that party? Who wouldn't want to? Oh,
Sierra's that would be a part we go. I have
to go to that party just to I gotta go
to a party thrown by Sierra and Russell Wilson. This
is a power couple and and she's she's an incredibly
big star and she's throwing a party for him. This

(28:22):
is not Hey, we're gonna meet up at the mall
and and get a couple of drinks and then go
to fund Ruckers. I mean, this is a Sierra throwing
birthday party for Russell Wilson. And still only half the
team came. You don't come to this unless you really
don't like the guy. I mean, really, this is a
this is a big deal party that was being thrown
and still only half people came, Yeah, I just get
to the if it's a day off, it depends on

(28:45):
when those invitations or evites or whatever went out, right,
And it was like, hey, don't forget the twenty nine
is Russe's birthday. By the way, Happy thirty fourth rust
good luck to you. Hopefully the last part of the
season runs a little better for you, although after this one,
I don't how much better it gets for these final weeks.
But you're you're looking at people have their different charitable

(29:07):
things they do on a day off, family time, Uh, sleep,
leave me the blank alone, shut the phone off, anything
but going to his party. Right, But but that's just it.
There's a there's a million things, right is you know,
you may have a day off, pick any work circumstance.
You may not have animus towards the person in question,

(29:27):
but like I gotta drive there, or I gotta do this,
or I gotta stop down what I was gonna be
doing with my family or any myriad things. And the
same thing here with Russ's party. And yes, there probably
is a small contingent in that locker room that wanted
to make a statement by not showing up and making
him look foolish mission accomplished, Broncos country. Let's cry who's

(29:54):
anybody and who who's here? At the end, we're gonna
sing Happy Birthday? Was the kick coming out? Is everybody
still here? Anybody's still here? Who's leaving? Everybody leaving? Everybody leaving?
Everybody leaving? Well, you might also have a lot of guys.
I mean, we start parsing it down. Let's get the
guest list. Who showed up that's on their final year
of a deal. Eventually, eventually we got to find out
who exactly was there, right, there's got to be a
list of who was there and who was who was there?

(30:16):
Who was there for us? You remember me? Hey, sorry
about those fumbles. Man, that's my fault. I mean, that's really,
that's that's my fault. A couple of games we could
have won on the goal line, man, that's all me.
That's all really. We gotta get that. We gotta find
out who was there and who wasn't and we can
draw the line. These people hate Russell Wilson, but we'll
make that decision. Yeah, a few of them we had,

(30:39):
I mean the Melvin Gordon staring at Russell while he
was drinking gatorade or water on the benches is well noted.
Big deal could have been big deal, big deal. I mean, look,
I'd like go to fund Rutgers at seven o'clock. That
that's like you can say that Air, what are you doing?
I could say that that's that's that's okay to say
that that. Mike, what do you think? Let it go,

(31:01):
Let let the expletives fly? Big deal, Twitter at how
about a Fresco might get swollen dome? Coming up next,
Speaking of quarterbacks in the tirect dot com studios, could
Tom Brady be trying to make his way back to
