Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies. And you want experience during your football season, Well,
buckle up, sweet cheeks. We've got all the experience in
the world. This is I want your flex with Dan
Buyer and Mike Harman. Mike and Dan breakdown everything you
need to set your lineups from position rankings, two starts

(00:23):
and sits. The guys help you make those hard decisions.
And now let's get your flexad. Here's Dan Buyer and
Mike Carman. The home stretches. Here were fourteen to the books.
Welcome in. Get Mike on Twitter at swomen Dome. You
can find me on Twitter at Dan Buyer on Fox.
Our executive producers, Ryan vershing Er, you can find Ryan

(00:44):
on Twitter at Ryan vershon Or in virtual check in
in the second Mike, But we are hitting the home stretch.
Week fourteen. Buys are gone, Thank goodness. We will have
thirty two teams sixteen games from here on out. Schedule
changes a little bit, a little bit Thursday night. Uh
of course Niners in Seahawks will start Week fifteen, and
then three Saturday games before we get the full slate

(01:06):
of Sunday and then in the Monday. Uh yeah. Here
we are the home stretch of the fantasy football. Yeah,
keeps us, keeps us on our toes. With all the
extra dates thrown in, the number of injuries at this
point in the substitutions. Depending on your league, maybe you
can't make pickups anymore. I know I certainly would love
to make an addition or two in my remaining leagues,

(01:27):
but I got one that's locked down and the other
one that's limited to you know, you get down to hey,
you can make one move. Uh Okay, so now it's
which one will it be? Who gets the rose to
steal from the Great Bachelor and Bachelorette franchises. But yeah,
Week four team was insane, and you know how much
I hated the Week four team buys. But they're done.

(01:50):
Now we uh trying to do a full sprint to
the end of the season. There's there's something unique and
I'm gonna get to our what we got right and
what we got wrong parts. But I do want to
bring this sap because you look at what the Dolphins
have had to deal with over this three week stretch.
We talked about their stretch where they really turned it
on in the middle of the season, but their level

(02:11):
of competition was was not up to what they faced
as of late. Now you've got a situation with the
Dolphins the West coast trip, so at San Francisco, stayed
in l A for the week, and then it was
at the Chargers on Sunday night. Now they got to
go back to Miami and then fly a Buffalo for
a Saturday game. They could have a half of feet

(02:32):
of snow falling by Saturday night. An absolute crazy situation
in scheduling wise. But Mike, I'm like, I'm mad at
the NFL for doing that to the Dolphins, but I
also look at it and and I look at the
schedule and I realized, wait a second, here, you know,
these Buffalo Bills have got a nice little uh, you know,

(02:54):
nice little uh. I don't know pathway. They had the
back to back Thursday game Tames and then on a
short week, Like I know, the conditions in Buffalo stunk
against the Jets on Sunday, but it's not like they
were traveling anyway. I don't know. We talked about schedule
quirks in Week fourteen with the Boys and all that stuff,
but I'm like, man, like, how do how do the

(03:15):
Bills get to be home for both games? And they're
making the Dolphins, you know, fly around like Carmen San Diego,
like I mean, they're everywhere, I mean in the world
on the Miami Dolphins. Um because your kids too young
for that, so that means you're watching that on your
own time. It's nicely done back in the day, back

(03:35):
in the day. But it's just it's it's I love
these little scheduled things that we you know, we look
at and see and this one bridge from week fourteen
to fifteen, and and I just think it's interesting. It's
just a really tough road to home for the Miami
dolphinsh no question about it. And you know, this was
an opportunity though at least on paper. You know, we
had the over under was what fifty two and a half?

(03:56):
You had the six starters on the defense still out
for the Chargers, right, how many shots of Joey Bosa
did you see over the course of that game. You
might get back to practice this week, you know, because
now you start hyping the Chargers based on Herbert's performance
and what could be with Mike Williams back out there
and maybe a couple of these guys getting healthy. But

(04:18):
you know, two it looked awful. Right, the offense looked terrible.
I'm still waiting on my six points for that return
touchdown from Tyreek Hill. Uh in one of the league's
But so you didn't get points in the league for that, No,
in in one of them. It didn't update. I'll have
to send an angry note because that's No, that's no
different than a guy fundling at the one and you

(04:39):
recover in the end zone. No, that's right. You should.
You should get the six points. Whether you get the
the yardage or whatever, that's that's site to site. Uh
and fight that out. But yeah, I should get my
six points. Uh, it won't matter. You know it was
you know that that was actually the Guillotine League. So
I was surviving regardless, but still on principal, you know,
we started, We've been yelling about tiebreakers and everything. I

(05:02):
want to make sure I get my proper points. But
for the Dolphins, Yeah, it's tough stretch. You know, two
straight games, score seventeen points to a looking human and
the ability to at times to erase some of those
big plays. And now you go on the road to Buffalo.
Like you said, you know, the weather forecast is is abysmal.

(05:22):
That defense starting to get a bit healthier. I know
von Miller's out, but they were already a formidable opponent.
And now you you're going in streaking it and to
a who you thought would have been a lockstep starter
for you down the stretch based on what they were
putting up earlier. Now you're wringing your hands, going do
I trust him? Do I trust him? In Week one

(05:42):
of the playoffs, I was I know so much of
the focus was on to h but I mentioned in
the last podcast, and it's a perfect transition. So what
we got right and what we got wrong. I thought
it was going to be a point of ploza with
the Chargers and Dolphins. There were two options this week
and it was Lions Vikings and Chargers Dolphins and and

(06:04):
Lions Vikings lived up to it. Exo did Jaguars Titans,
and it's exodd Broncos. Jeez, if you wanted Dolphins, Chargers didn't.
But this was one of the things, Mike. One of
the points was you're going up against the Chargers defense
that there's a lot of holes. We knew about the
holes in the secondary, but we also know that they
couldn't stop the run, and it seemed in the limited
opportunities before Jeff Wilson got hurt that there were opportunities.

(06:29):
Um Raheem Mostert, who actually I liked as a play,
didn't have a good game at all, But I just didn't.
I know, it's all about two and and it should be.
And I'm not saying that that it's misguided. I just
think that the Dolphins missed an opportunity would trying to
run the ball in that game. And uh, you know,
as I said, it's one of the things that I
missed this weekend and what we got right and what

(06:50):
we got wrong. But yeah, to I was, you're right
to it was bad. They didn't establish the wrong. Now
the Dolphins may have to establish the run. If you're
running through eight inches of snow, it I mean you
abandoned what on paper, right, Still a team given up
what five six, five seven per rush coming in? Still
so many injuries that if if nothing else, it's the

(07:12):
short passing game becomes the extension. Hell, we watched on
Monday night Mac Jones first sixteen passes average to two
yards of distance in terms of the airtime. So it's
it's not like you can't be effective to what become
essentially long handoffs in that But yeah, just a curiosity there,

(07:33):
and and certainly from Moster to eleven Carrey seventeen yards
not not what not what we anticipated Dan going into
that game. I was a lockstep with you there. Yeah.
I I also I missed on Gino Smith, but I
didn't miss send Gino Smith and have a tough time
with the Panthers. Um. They did because they can't stop
the Panthers running the Footballo did throw three touchdowns. I

(07:55):
missed on that one. I did say the bench Isaia
Pacheco because I didn't think you. I did think he
was touchdown dependent, um, and I think it did reflect
a decent yardage day against the Broncos. But again, when
he doesn't get into the end zone, he's not as
valuable as you could be. So that's my report card
for Week fourteen. H I'll take my mini victory lap
I had. Trevor Lawrence is the top five quarterback. He

(08:16):
led the led the game. Again, I didn't expect Tennessee
to lay down the way they did from a straight
football perspective. Thought. I thought maybe they'd go see the
Wizard and get some hard after their GM got fired.
But instead nope, down they go. Um, Captain Kirk did me? Uh?
Did me wrong? I did? Wasn't expecting four or twenty

(08:38):
five yards out of him, but playing catchup, that's what
you got. So he finishes as a top five quarterback
for the week. Brady. On the down side, look what
what might have been if that passed? Evans had held up?
Uh and we we might have had a game at
least for a half U Instead they get boat raised.
He's terrible, finishes the twelve points. Uh so miserable. Down

(09:00):
there again to a thought, big day didn't happen. Brock Purty, I,
I really, I harped on it with the on the
Monday Night Show with Jason Smith on on on the
FSR airwaves of I was more disappointed in the Tampa
defense than I was the offense. The lack of anything

(09:23):
resembling resistance from Super Bowls and his defense like he
should have put his headset down after a while and
just walked away. My point about pretty is this, and
it's going to lead to a bigger discussion maybe when
you and I get together, when I sit in on
for Jason Smith with the Olympis week. Um, the Brock
pretty thing is great. Okay, it's a great story, but

(09:46):
recent history should show you that it's not Brock Purty.
It's also Jimmy Garoppolo. It was also C. J. Bethard,
it was also Nick Mullins. Like I rip on Kyle
Shanahan a lot because I think we put him on
a pedestal and he hasn't won a Super Bowl and
the only thing that he's done on the Super Bowl
is lose three lead because he wouldn't stop throwing the

(10:08):
football as the offensive coordinator and the Niners blew at
ten point lead with seven minutes to go. As a
head coach against Kansas City Chiefs, like those those are
are things that stick with you. And we put Kyle
Shanahan on this pedestal and we think he's this quarterback whisperer,
and I don't think that's it at all. I think
he's an uh, you know, a scheme whisperer. Like it

(10:30):
is so like it's so quarterback friendly that you just
can put you can put I don't say any guy
in there, but it almost is any guy if you're
just putting Jimmy Garoppolo and Brock Purty and having all
these guys succeed. It's you know, like brock Purty is
going to be a story, but the real story is
just how Kyle Shanahan's got this thing almost on autopilot

(10:51):
that you could put me in at quarterback and they're
not going to miss a beat. Well, I mean, look,
you also add the fact that you you had debo. Alright,
he gets hurt, and that's that's problematic for the fantasy playoffs,
um and obviously for the forty niners down the stretch here.
But division looks like it's there's right I you George
Kittle healthy. I mean, there's three guys right there that

(11:15):
are better as a trio. And I gets forgotten oftentimes,
but they're better as a trio than than most teams
in the in the NFL, say say nothing of an
offensive line that does a pretty good job, even if
you have to move component parts. So that you know,
I made the Johnny Bravo reference. Guy fit the suit,

(11:37):
just show up. Just just don't screw it up. And
so we'll see in a pressure pack situation, do we
have another meltdown from him as well? To finish the
report card, we we didn't know what kind of value
we'd get. In terms of Barkley with his injury, well,
he gave you nothing. I said, uh, you know, you
have to run with him if if he plays, and

(11:58):
he failed us as well as Dick Chuck didn't really
give us much of anything. In a return a bout
with Cleveland. They got the wind for the first time
in Joe Burrows tenure there, but not much there. Running
back position was really a disaster. DeAndre Swift thinking with
a points of palooza kind of effort that you'd have

(12:19):
some love. And then of course Dalvin Cook and cam Akers.
Cam Akers, he was the alright, we we can start
it because he's playing the Raiders. Well they got the win,
but it wasn't because of him. Ryan Burr Singer gives
us streaming defenses every single week and uh also a
survivor pick. And I'm telling what those Cowboys were a

(12:41):
little close. They used all sixty minutes. But but if
that was a survivor pick, I did I say the
Titans that I yeah, yeah, yeah, that's that was not
a good week there. But streaming defense wise, how did
you do well? I also I play the Seahawks defense,
so yeah, no, uh not not great there. I mean

(13:04):
I did. I played the Raiders in one league and
that worked out well. But no, I had a couple
of shares of the Seahawks defense this week and that
was one point. So you ever see those those potholes
on the four h five, you mean after the rains
the last couple of days, that got like nine times bigger,
nine thousand times bigger than swallow a car. But you

(13:24):
still drive over them like that's the Seahawks defense. Like
there may be a little bump in the road, but
you're gonna get to where you need to go, Like
I mean, two hundred and twenty yards as a team
rushing for the Carolina Panthers. Unbelievable. Sam Donald getting it
done right there, my goodness, like a buck twenty running

(13:45):
the ball down their throats. Just don't screw it up, man,
you know what, I gotta take one last little pat
on the back to myself. Guys should have been thrown
out of the game. But Jerry Judy was on our
hot plays list despite the fact that he plays for
the Dead from Broncos, and he found the end zone thrice.
Oh man, I'll tell you what. There may be somebody

(14:06):
who may want to bump a ref. Uh, Ryan Burr Singer,
you've got a story about your league. We've already had
a guy hate quit and drop his players. What are
you are you beating that? What went down? Well? Uh,
I think I'm the villain in this scenario. So because
stands a pad boy. All right? Well, okay, So what

(14:28):
happened was is in my main league, UM, I came
into the week at six and seven, tied with another
team at six and seven, two teams at seven and
six ahead of me, so I'm fighting for the last
playoff spot. Basically, those two teams are in the five
and six position. I'm at seven. Um I have more
points than all of these teams. So what I need

(14:49):
to happen is basically I need to win this week
and one of those seven and six teams needs to lose.
Now I'm looking at the schedule and because of the
way this this league is stru sure it's a keeper league.
And we introduced trading picks for players or players for
picks as for the first time this season as part
of our trade deadline, which um resulted in very lopsided

(15:14):
trades for first round picks. And it's uh, it was wild.
It was truly the wild West in our in our
in that league this season in terms of the trade deadline.
So the two teams that are ahead of me in
the standings are both playing teams that tanked pretty hard
at the trade deadline. Um, and so I'm looking at
things going, all right, this is gonna be tough. They

(15:34):
both of these teams are projected to win. I I'm
also playing a team that tanked though, so I'm figuring,
all right, I should be able to win. But it
doesn't matter if one of if both of these two
teams win. So I'm looking at the situation here and
in one of these games, UM, our friend Chris uh,
he he is playing one of the seven and six teams,

(15:56):
and he's uh. He's good at being engaged throughout the season.
But if there's anybody in the league who's going to
just not pay attention for a little bit, it would
be Chris. And he was paying a little bit of attention.
He had Courtland Sutton in his lineup earlier in the week,
but he benched him upon seeing that he was ruled out.

(16:16):
But we get to Sunday morning and still in his
lineup at both of his running back slots are Kenneth
Walker and Damien Harris. So I've been following the situation
throughout the week, just you know, checking in, makeing, smirking, laughing,
going Chris, hopefully you catch what's going on here? You might. Uh,

(16:41):
I need, I need Chris to win. Yeah. So, um,
it gets a Sunday morning and his lineup still hasn't changed.
So I sent him a text, sure you the commissioner
of this league or no, no, no, I'm not the
main commissioner. I've I we have a co commissioner sort
of deal, but one of them is the main one. Um.

(17:06):
And so I text Chris and I say, hey, look,
you know you're your own man. You've got your own life.
You can do whatever you want. By by the way,
Chris has just spent the entire night up at Fox
Sports Radio, so I'm sure I'm sure he loves to
hear from this text at eight am after being up
all night long. But go ahead, go ahead. Well, I

(17:29):
mean Birst saw him on the way in. This is okay,
So no, hold on, this is this is a different
I'm sorry, I haven't spent That's not Chris Perfett different league.
This is not people that we work with. I thought
it was at If this was perfet, I would have
just yeah, as I walked in, I would have said, hey,
take those guys out and even said like you so.

(17:52):
Um So in the morning, I I noticed he still
has the running backs there, So yes, I sent him
this text saying, hey, look, you know you can do
whatever you like. I'm not telling you what to do, Okay.
All I'm saying is that you should just, you know,
take another look at your lineup before the game started.
To the devil whispering in all the television and movies

(18:13):
and I watched growing up. You know he really could,
so this land could be yours, so tempting Jesus on
the mountain, I mean, come on, Chris. Chris responds to me,
He says, you know what, You're right, I'm on vacation.
I didn't take a look, so I'm gonna check. And
I said, all right, yep, yeah, go right. Um So

(18:36):
he pulls both of the injured running backs out of
his lineup. He has on his bench J K. Dobbins,
So he plugs J. K. Dobbinson, he plays McKinnon. I'm
gonna now that would be the story. Cap story came
app all I had was beginning he um, he did.

(18:57):
He's got Darryl Henderson on his bench, so he's got
a free drop here. So he drops Darryll Anderson and
he just picks up the running back that is projected
to score the most points on waivers, which was Chuba Hubbard.
So he throws in J. K. Toppins Cuba Hubbard, and
instead of a combined zero for the two injured running backs,

(19:19):
he gets a combined thirty five point four points. Um,
and uh, he won his game by well basically if
there was a zero there, I believe he would have
lost my point six. So um, yeah it made the difference. Um,

(19:39):
I won my game, and I also I did. My
team did not play well, but I got lucky with
the matchup, you know, because I had had to. I
had the debot, I had Jeff Wilson, like you know,
I was going through it. But I won Chris one,
I get the last playoff spot, and uh, you know what,

(20:00):
do I feel like it was a little dirty? Yeah,
but I do what it takes to win. Yeah. Gosh,
I'll tell you I've been in this spot before, and
I am the commissioner of our league, and I have
I have not said something because I because I hadn't
earlier in the year, you know, so so I but

(20:25):
like I I feel like it's a different role, um
as a commissioner, like I wouldn't. I don't think it's
fair if I would have done it for one team,
you know, in week eleven, when I didn't do it
for one team in week three or in this case,
week fourteen, the final week of the season, I understand me.
I usually I would actually come down really hard on

(20:46):
you usually, but like I do think that it's you know, like, gosh,
you know, you didn't tell him to pick up Chuba Hubbard,
you know, like and it just you know, but you
know exactly, I didn't say what to do. I knew,
I see. I was looking at his lineup, knowing like,
all right, he can plug in J. K. Dobbins and

(21:07):
he can just pick up somebody on waivers and throw
them in. Um yeah, I was lucky that it was
Cuba of all like that got seventeen points. But um yeah.
Also the guy he was playing actually had Kyler Murray.
So yeah, what do you think Harmon do? Well, that's

(21:28):
why I asked the commissioner question. First, right, is if
if you have some of that responsibility. But to your point, Dan,
is as long as you're consistent with it, right, if
you didn't do it in week three, stepping in in
week fourteen would seem dubious from you know, administrative standpoint,
but you can also point to well, now it really matters, right.

(21:52):
It's the old, the old adage of well that week
three game, you know, depending on that that when it
could have just tumbled everything down, right, and you run
through all those scenarios, but you know you're in the
here and now you know it's it's between you and
whatever higher power you believe in it. Guys are gonna
be mad, I mean, but I think in the end,

(22:16):
it's you're playing a game. You don't know the circumstances
of your you know of the the other players, of
whether they're paying attention or not. And in this case,
you just goose the guy. He could have told you
to blank go blank yourself rum on vacation, I don't care,
yeah exactly. Instead he said, oh, let me look at that.

(22:38):
You know, we talk a little survivor on this podcast,
so I feel like that's where my survivor brain was coming.
I'll play exactly started bringing the back a little bit.
It's nicely done. That is a nice tie in right there.
And then you know, I think I feel like I'm
Jesse standing up trying to shake Cody's hand and at
the end of the travel but in legit, I mean

(23:01):
that is part of part of the process though, right,
I mean from trade negotiations on on through You're you're
trying to find your competitive advantage. In this particular case,
literally all you said was, hey, you've got a couple
of guys that are gonna get zeros. Mean, you didn't say, hey,
it would really help me, buddy. And and when when

(23:22):
there are playoff spots on the line, you would hope
that everybody in the league is paying attention and giving
an earnest stafford, knowing that they could impact the shape
of the player, you would like to think. And there's
money in this league exactly. Yeah, right, well that's the
other thing. You're protecting your investment. Yeah. The more the
more I think about this, I don't think I could
have done what you did. Oh no, I'm at it now.

(23:44):
I'm at at two people like I'm at at burst
for telling the guy that I'm at at the guy
for not paying attention to his team and then finally
listening and instead, if the guy would have just kept
his guys in, it would have been like Chris, you
you know, bleep and bleep, you know you're not in
the league next year. I kind of feel like there's
a short film we can make on this dilemma. Yeah,

(24:06):
I just yeah, man, No, I get it. It is
great consternation. Look, I I accept I was it dirty
on my part probably, but again I'm I'm embracing the
villain role in this league. I know, you know me,
I I whenever you do that, I'm I'm all for it.

(24:27):
If you're gonna do it. Just just I don't I
don't think it's dirty. I don't think it's dirty. I
just don't know if I could do it. Because again
to your point of what you started out, and we
were laughing about it, but like, hey, you're your own man.
You know, like there is something to like it's your team,
you know, this is how it's you know, I signed
up for this league. I signed up to be in

(24:48):
this league for you. Granted, it really sucks that he
wouldn't keep track of his team, but but but I mean,
you get busy with other things. I've been in these
industry leagues or whatever where you get caught up, Like
back in the day, I was doing a bunch of
affiliate calls, answering through the Freaks account or even my

(25:08):
account when you and I were doing the Sunday Morning Show, Dan,
I'd be answering hundreds of those. We don't get the
same volume that with that we used to, but I'd
be caught up in that or helping the guys around
the office that we're asking questions, and then all of
a sudden you look up. It's like, oh, crap, I
missed this injury update from a guy, and now I've
got I'm going to take a zero. And I would

(25:30):
feel bad about it, but legitimately I could see how
it happens. You know where you know, or something in
the afternoon game you're waiting on a game time decision,
and then like I had two little kids running around
for a lot of this where suddenly you're not getting
back on your phone, you can't connect because you're taking
a hike somewhere. I mean, there's a million things that

(25:51):
could happen. We we I'll tell you I had a
league this week where again. It was the final week
of our playoffs or find a week of the regular
season before the playoffs, and a guy that I needed
to lose. Regreted my lineup ended up being absolute dog bleep.
But but at the point being, is a guy that

(26:11):
I needed to lose only had Trevor Lawrence as his quarterback.
And what did we hear throughout the week, you know,
like toe injury. And I went to the waiver wire
and I looked at the quarterbacks, and I thought, if
I could roster a couple of these guys just in
case Trevor Lawrence doesn't play, Like this guy is gonna
end up playing you know, Andy Dalton, who's on buy

(26:32):
as this quarter because he's not gonna have anybody, you know,
like you know, you're gonna be like, you know, like
I had looked at that, you would end up playing
Colt McCoy, you know, and then what do you know?
He would have gotten the game. But the point being
is I've looked at scenarios where, Okay, how could it
help my roster if I made their help my scenario
if I made this move and put someone in a
bad decision, I just don't know if I could do it,

(26:54):
you know, put my interest in another team. That's the
only thing, can't you interesting dilemma here on? I wat
your flex All right, now that we got versus drama
fielled league out of the way, we can talk about
the drama that happened in the NFL. A couple of
big injuries a quarterback wise one on Monday night, Kyler

(27:15):
Murray likely done for the season. Uh, significant knee injuries.
What we're hearing? Russell Wilson got catoed against the Broncos.
Um playing well up until that point, Um, I should say,
you know, fantasy wise, playing well? Yeah, growing up against
the Chiefs. All of a sudden you had that barrage
that it's like, look like a laugher, And then suddenly

(27:36):
we had got ourselves a game. Yeah, twenty seven nothing
and what do you know? Then it's thirty one and
russ is running towards the goal line and and gets
knocked out. These are big injuries, name wise, um, fantasy wise,
different story. Denver, you weren't really playing many guys, but
Jerry Judy ended up showing out any Arizona. You know,

(28:00):
I I have shares in DeAndre Hopkins, you know, James
Connors out there. Um, I don't know how much it
will affect Arizona because I just think they're an absolute mess.
So it's it's kind of like a you know, big
name injury wise, and if you have Kyler Murray, obviously
that's going to affect you and you'll need to replace him.
But the trickled out effect of these two injuries I
just don't see being that significant. Yeah, I mean when

(28:23):
you look at it for this coming just look at
the immediacy right for the coming week. Russell Wilson against Arizona,
pretty good spot, right, pretty good spot for him to
go and do some damage against the team given up
the most points per game. They now eclipse Detroit Dan
in terms of of that all important category that you'd
have an opportunity there. So this this also is, you know,

(28:48):
a prime spot for anybody that pretends to be a
tight end to put up big numbers, because Arizona doesn't
bother to cover tight ends. But for Russell Wilson, this
would have been one of the few times this year
because he's been dumped to the aver wire everywhere where
you might have said, okay, spot player, daily fantasy quarterbacks.
So we'll keep an eye on him as the week
goes on. Over under in this one was set early

(29:09):
on at thirty six and a half. Yeah, uh, Colt
McCoy running around, I mean out of Arizona. DeAndre Hopkins
I guess is still a three okay, And then Connor
is a number two late number two against Denver's defense.
Like there's not a lot of confidence really on that side.
And then Judy had the big game. I guess you

(29:32):
can get him in as a back end to assuming
Wilson plays, but if not, all bets are off. Yeah,
it's one of those deals. And by the way, did
you see the non on Wilson's head? Oh it is ridiculous? Yeah,
Like I mean that it was not like you know,
we we you know, make fun of rus Russell Wilson
clown on some of his antics. But that hit that

(29:54):
he took in the look on his face when he
was laying on the ground was that was scary. That
was that was not cool at all. And so you
have to wonder as well, and not only on how
long is you know, is it just a week fifteen
game or is it a lot longer? Sure? Do you
just decide? Hey, both from the injury and just where

(30:14):
you're at in the season. Then you know, you know,
fight again another day. But I would say this, Dan,
between him, Mike White, and some others, you could have
had a full hour long special of Jacked Up just
from Week fourteen alone. Yeah. Yeah, Mike, guys flying around, man,

(30:34):
No kidding, absolutely, I mean guy's White's White's uh Willis
Reid moments in Buffalo, you know, I mean coming back out,
he was folded over like a case of d on
that one. Goodness. I know, Joe Flacco brought them back
against the Brons, but in the minute that he appeared
in that game against Buffalo, it was not pretty. And
then you're wondering, man, what is is Zeke Wilson really

(30:57):
that bad? You know? Yes he is? Yes, yes he is.
I uh yeah. Those those are the you know a
couple of things that that stood out. We'll get to
some injury stuff a little bit later on as well
with the Seahawks Niners preview, because there are some injuries
uh there as well. You can always find Mike on
Twitter at Swollendome, hit me up at Dan Buyer on Fox. Alright, Mike,

(31:19):
let's look ahead in the week fifteen, and some of
our free agent waiver wire pickups that could be available
after after maybe as dealing the spotlights this past weekend. Yeah,
the aforementioned controversial Juba Hubbard. Now I want to encourage
everybody to pick him up if they have it already,
so they could be part of this. By the Seahawks again,

(31:40):
that's that's a check that out when they got Pittsburgh. Yeah,
home favorites thirty one touches the last two weeks, seventeen touches,
nine yards this past week. I mean, if it ain't broke,
don't fix it. And by the way, I say, are
they playing the Seahawks if you're new to the podcast
as a Seahawks fan, I say that because that run
deep as atrocious as we talked about earlier. Yeah, Hey,

(32:03):
we'll get to Christian McCaffrey and the celebrations that is
fantasy owners will have here in short order. Uh. Pierre Strong,
it's kind of interesting coming off of the big game
that he had on Monday night football against Arizona. Stevenson
waiting to get further word on his but it becomes
his injury, but it becomes a defensive play if nothing else.

(32:24):
The stash and wait because they are narrow road favorites
against the Raiders, which is kind of an interesting proposition. Uh.
So you've got that rolling on. So we look at
that from the pass catchers side of things, depending on
which side of the Detroit Lions you want to go to,
because they're playing the Jets, so it's it's not a

(32:46):
short term play because they look at those cornerbacks. Uh.
Difficult proposition. You've got. I'm on ross at Brown, Uh,
and we'll see how they try to cover him. But
Jamison Williams comes in and makes an immediate impact right
at the forty one yard touchdown for sception at charts
but playing well these last couple of games. So uh,
two guys that have been on the waiver wire, maybe

(33:07):
along with Jared Goff depending on your league. Uh, in
settings along the way, I mean the lack of faith
and his productivity while down the stretch, he's got a
couple of games where he could be a fantasy hero
in the playoffs for you, even if you don't play
it this week against the Jets, perhaps some opportunities there. Uh,
take a look at your waiver wires. Because Mike Williams

(33:29):
had been dumped in a lot of leagues because of
the long standing injury. He came back, put on a
big show against Miami. And now you got a Tennessee
team that looked like they quit. I used that term
a lot in week four teen because Arizona looked like
they quit. Tampa Bay's defense looked like they wanted to
throw a towel and yell no moths uh. And then
tenn Tennessee, You've got players in that locker room going

(33:52):
they fired the g M. They didn't fire us. Why
aren't we playing? So question of how Mike Vrabel if
he's able to rally them. But for Chargers, a little
bit of juice in that offense once again. So there's
a couple of options for you. The couple of other
names that popped up, Dallas got maybe out there. He

(34:14):
is slated to return UH in week fifteen for the Eagles.
Not less, It's not like there there aren't enough mouse
defeat in Philadelphia because everybody scores. But when he scored
for eight points a game, you know that there could
be UH possibilities out there as well. So, but just
something to look at, you know, if if that's the case.

(34:34):
And also another name at the tight end position that
I think a lot of people had high hopes for
at the beginning of the season and it just wasn't there. No,
he went through some personal struggles with death and his
family um throughout the years, so it's been a really,
really tough year. But Dawson Knox went head over heels
literally in that win against the Jets. For the Buffalo Bills,

(34:54):
He's out there as well at a tight end position
that we talked about one of our previous UH podcast
Mike just on if you don't have Travis Kelsey. I mean,
it's an absolute crap shoot. Maybe not Dawson Knox in
the half foot of snow that we're gonna get, but
still could be a decent play at least down the
stretch well, but maybe the opportunity there to get the
ball out quickly, get him engaged, and we we saw

(35:17):
with the Chargers they did get Everett involved in the
game early. Now he didn't have a monster total and
all again going to Mike Williams and his return and
the availability of Keenan Allen and Eckler out of the backfield,
You've got a lot of mouths to feed. But with
Dawson Knox potential certainly there. You know, when we're looking

(35:38):
at touchdown dependency, you know they're gonna put They're gonna
put up points. There's seven and a half point favorites
to open uh the line, So we keep an eye
on that, certainly an option for you. What about Oconquo
and Tennessee tight end? Yeah, just again, I don't know
why I'm fixated on tight ends. Well, but him Evan Ingram.
I mean, the way Trevor Lawrence has been playing against Dallas,

(36:01):
the hot round is certainly gonna need to come into effect.
What about Pete metal Ars, I'm kidding, that's a joke.
If we could retro fantasy, baby, let's go give me him,
give me a little Kellen Winslow, let's go. I think
I got a courtesy last from a laugh from burst.
I don't even know if you were alive when Pete
metal Ars was playing first. Don't forget that extra when

(36:24):
you spell it versus here for a streaming defense is
play for week fifteen? What do you got? Well? Uh,
Desmond Ritter is gonna make his debut with he so
I will take the Saints defense in that match. You
know he's gonna face Andy Dalton again. That's that's true.
That's true, And I mean there's good reason to even

(36:46):
look at the Falcon side on that, and the reason
is Andy Dalton. But uh Dennis Allen yet almost uh
we uh seeyeh. Give me the Saints defense there. Of course, Yes,
the Texans made it close with the Cowboys, but if
you have the Chiefs defense, you play them this week
against the Texans. Um. I also, Deshaun Watson hasn't looked

(37:09):
fantastic as he starts it starts starts up with the Browns,
So I think the Ravens already good play there, and
despite the Mayfield magic, I would still feel confident, at
least somewhat planned the Packers defense Monday night against the Rams.
As as a Packers fan, how do you feel about

(37:30):
making that suggestion given what you've seen from their defense
to heretofore? Yeah, I mean they should have been a
lot better this season. Will put it down. Here's here's
my question. As a Packer fan, if you got tickets
to Monday's game against the Rams, would you go? Yeah?
I would if I if I had tickets, I I

(37:52):
would go. I think that that would be fun. Um.
Just because. But I mean more so in the sense of,
like I haven't been to sofa before, and it's been
a long time since I've been to an NFL game.
It wouldn't be because like I've got to see this
team play in person. That that's a no. It would first,
if you book your flight to Green Bay, I'll find
you tickets. Well, I'll find them tickets. Heck, half my

(38:15):
family is that there's once upon a time a tough tash.
Maybe your family wouldn't even want to go see this
iteration at It's one of those things where like it
is such a neat thing, you know, like for it's
a it's a bucket list thing, but it's such a

(38:37):
normal part of my life growing up that it's, you know,
one of those you know things. But to sit in
the cold on a Monday night at lambeau Field, Um,
I just didn't off Berth was, being the southern California
kid that he was, would be willing to do. You know. Yeah,
you're right, I wrote down the game wrong. I thought
it was in l a Over on thirty nine and
a half. Maybe that's that's a little different. You're right,

(39:00):
I'm going to sofa and watch it on the screen. Well,
the viewing party for Baker Mayfield. Baby, let's go oh
man man all right, So they are the streaming defenses.
Let's wrap up with this Thursday night game, Seahawks home
to the San Francisco forty Niners Rock Party. The man
of the hour in San Francisco, dB, Deebo, Samuel Nie

(39:23):
and ankle injuries not going to be available, um Keneth Walker,
we don't know if he's going to be available for
the Seahawks. What do you like playing out Thursday night? Yeah,
as it stands right now, I mean you look on
the Seattle side of things, awful, tough to to get
too excitable. I mean both lock It and Metcalffer in
your lineups right as a w R two, I would

(39:44):
suspect for both. Geno is a tough play, right, He's
gonna be a tweener kind of option for you. It
is at home, but that keep chucking if they get
behind and too where you have an opportunity city to
make some hay. So he's a guy I think for
daily fansy purposes. I haven't seen the valuations yet for

(40:06):
this week, but I got to imagine you get him
out a bit of a discount, so you might be
able to maybe keep yourself a little bit of love there.
I'll go back, what what was the twenty seven seven?
Was the Week two game? Yeah, and that that was
actually was off that high of that Broncos win. Right,
But honestly, even then, you could see that there were

(40:27):
some that you could see the warts. Back in the
second half of the Broncos game, you could see some
of the Seahawks warts that they had. Um. But now
it's just more profound on defense as opposed to maybe
some of the issues they're having on offense. Yeah, I
mean offensively, I mean, everybody's gonna push all in on
brock Purty and why not. Right, he carved up what

(40:47):
was supposed to be a good defense. Again, maybe maybe
they were paper champions, I don't know, or maybe they
can once they got down and recognized it was gonna
be a long day, they just made it longer. But McCaffrey,
obviously we look at the run game and the opportunities
that will stand there, um, two bad debos not there.

(41:08):
Maybe you could run a bunch for you as well.
But this now becomes a case of all right, who
else is going to see some touches behind. McCaffrey might
be one of those sneaky flex plays as we look
at the depth chart, but certainly I could be in
your lineup. Kit will be in your lineup, and then
we'll well, we'll play the defense hoping that Gino gives

(41:31):
a couple of gifts. Yeah, Jordan Mason, maybe the pickup
you need if you know, handcuffing is kind of gone
a little bit by the wayside. But as we're going
down the stretch here, it's not that Christian McCaffrey has
never been injured in his life. Um, I gotta play
defense for the stretcher on two right. I mean, even
if even if you just gets stashed on your bench,
to my old, my old fantasy thing of I'd rather

(41:53):
rot him rod on mine and not play him then
watch him show up in all line up against me.
You've off Kenneth Walker is healthy for the Seahawks that
do not like his prospects against San Francisco. I think
you're right at least about the receiver play in this
if Seattle is going to give you anything. Is a
Seahawks fan, I'm actually not looking forward to uh Thursday night.

(42:15):
Who knows stranger things have happened, and just go three
and a half point favorites in the early line, forty
three and a half your total. Oh there it is,
all right. And again three Saturday games coming up, in
games where there's legitimate players. You got the vikings and
action against the Colts. Talked about the Bills and Dolphins playing, uh,
the night game on Saturday in Brown's Ravens first mentioned

(42:36):
that in the streaming part. Uh, that's the Sandwich game
on Saturday. So all right, that'll do it for us
here on our look ahead of week fifteen, review of
week fourteen, and I want your flex a big thanks
to the cheater, Ryan Burrshinger. No, not a cheater, not
a cheater at all. I get him on Twitter at
Ryan Burshinger and find my Carmen the one and only
on Twitter at Swollen Dome. As the colleges are knocking

(42:58):
to the youngest uh as the soccer carcer all that's
the best news that we've heard today. So for my
Carmen and Ryan burr Singer, I'm Dan Buyer if you
need me by Man Sweter at Dan Buyer on Fox,
and we'll talk to you next time here and I
want your flex,
