(00:23):
Smith Show with Mike Harmon on Fox Sports Radio. Gratings
and welcome inside. Happy Thursday, The Jason Smith Show with
my best friend Mike Harman Hobo live from the tire
iraq dot com studios were broadcasting live from here as
we are every night. Tire ract dot com will help

(00:43):
you get there and unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free
road hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers ti
irac dot com the way tire buying should be well
right now. The Seahawks just had a stay of execution
down twenty one three in the third quarter. Gino Smith

(01:06):
just throws. As I am speaking to you and telling
you about iraq dot Com, Gino Smith just throws a
pick six. However, Nick Bosa is flagged for roughing the quarterback. Um,
I guess they're gonna call him like slamming him into
the ground because he hit him on the side with
his shoulder pads. It didn't look like it was that

(01:26):
big a deal, but he stayed with the sack all
the way through. And this is gonna be another one
where it's what do you expect to do? What do
you expect to do? You know, maybe because at the
very end it looked like Gino Smith went down hard,
but it didn't look like it was anything else other
than Bosa sacking him and bringing to the ground because

(01:47):
he doesn't know if he threw the football or not.
So that's gonna be one where the Niners go, hey,
can you take an NFL can take a look at
this please? And again we get to the part of
the quarterbacks and they take care of them and the
defensive players and all the time we had we had
the ground running tonight in Mike Harmen, That's that was pathetic.
I mean, not not as pathetic as the coverage on
George Kittle on the touchdown pass that made in three

(02:09):
right before we came on air. The busted coverage followed
by three guys who had no desire to try to
tackle George Kittle. Look I got a hand on him,
Oh he was too fast and he got past me.
You want to talk about a team that, after getting
bludgeoned by the Panthers, look like they've quit Seattle at home?
Pathetic and no more gene Geneo, Yeah, poor Gino. Yeah. Look,

(02:32):
this could be the night where where where where t
j h the clock striking midnight for Geno Smith and
the Seahawks as they are just getting absolutely pounded by
the Forts. But look, I hate to say I told
you so, But what did I tell you five weeks ago?
By the end of the season, the Niners are gonna
be the best team in the NFC on a big stretch.

(02:57):
This this is back when Jimmy stunk and and and
and Jimmy was hurting. He's so good And I say
knowing I say this knowing he fully well was gonna
be the Jet starting quarterback next season. Jimmy stunk it.
They were trying to figure things out, and they were
getting by with their defense. You just need to give

(03:18):
it time to Gell And who knew putting Brock Purdy
and was gonna make things jelling. Here go the Niners
telling you by the time you get to the end
of the year, it's gonna be Boy, can anybody stop
the Niners? I mean, I know, I told you the
Eagles we're going to the super Bowl and Jalen Hurt
it's gonna be the m v P. And that's my prediction.
I told you that didn't do this by the end
of the year because I'm just who knows? Who knows? Okay,
are you gonna go home? Okay? All right? Then well wait, wait,

(03:41):
that would just lead me with ty Shirt. Who's gonna
talk about how Morocco you don't even have he's just
hanging out and oh man, yeah, because he got wired.
He's going to talk about all sorts of rivalry games
and stuff. Again, dude, Morocco had it. Morocco had nothing.
They had it. They were there the whole time. But yeah,

(04:01):
exactly there. Yeah they had no game, that's all ship.
But they just they had it. They did they did.
Did you watch the game? Absolutely not? Do you know that?

(04:22):
So now it's either gonna be winning our big World Cup.
Pool is either gonna be Frostburg because he's got Argentina,
or who has France, Dan Buyer, that would be Steve
guaranteed to finish second unless something happens where they play
so much soccer that everybody passes out and they can't

(04:43):
kick the ball anymore. So, Jason, this is has lined up.
If I would have won with Motorocco, I would have
won the whole thing. But since they lost, now I
have guaranteed myself second place. So basically it's Steve versus
Justin for first. The other one gets third. Nobody is
ever going to do any pool we do again because
everybody who's gonna win money is on our show, right,

(05:04):
It's it's gonna be you and Frostsburg and the singer
are gonna be the people game. But everybody else who
got in on this Jonas and said, Rob Parker and everybody,
they're all out, Dan By, everybody's out, no one else.
When he picks up the three people on this show,
and who picked the teams? I did. I picked the
teams out of that no one contributed with a giant hat.

(05:24):
Never gonna happen. That's never gonna happen. It's not gonna
happen again. So yeah, well we'll get it because you
tie ship really he has the airing of the grievances
on Morocco's got nothing. He gave up a goal within
five minutes and then surmounted no real attacks, took the
air out of the ball and that was the end
of the game. What he got, Frostburg. You know what

(05:44):
else isn't gonna happen? What is it gonna happen? I
Seahawks win the night. Yeah, that's even even with those
cool Neon kind of weird looking these jerseys going on,
because they're like against the the turf, which looks kind
of gray when you get the sideline view of it.

(06:07):
It kind of looks like film noir, Like you're doing
some cool stuff with photography. No, you know, okay, okay,
film okay. I I say, like you put a lens
on your cap. You're trying to black and white full No,
I can see that. But but these I've always hated these.
I've hated these jerseys so much. You know what they
look like. They look like when you're highlighter changes color

(06:28):
because you've used it so much, You've going over pen
so many times that it doesn't highlight quite anymore or
bright yellow anymore. It's kind of that it's just a
it's a dimmer color and it's like, boy, it doesn't
that's kind of what that? What the what? These uniforms
it's not really highlighters. It's the dim highlighter and Gino
Smith doesn't look good getting sacked in any of the
uniforms he could be wearing. See that time, Bosa did

(06:49):
a good job and trying to keep his balance and
not land on him. So there's no penalty because he
kind of did a leap frog kind of moment for it. Ridiculous,
But let's let's let's get into this game. Here for
a couple of minutes to Jason Smiths with Mike Carmen
live from the tire Act dot com studios. It is
the Fox Sports Radio Tailgap presented by the Big Green Egg.

(07:10):
Nothing beats the flavor of live fire cooking on a
Big Green Egg. It's the most versatile grill you'll lever own,
backed by a lifetime warranty roll with the best chop
online for free delivery at Big green egg dot com.
Lifetime warranty, free home delivery, Big green egg dot com. Um. Now, again,
there's many things I could say. I told you so
about it, told you not about the Eagles winning the

(07:30):
NFC uh Jalen hurts m v P. The Niners will
be the best team in the NFC by the end
of the year. And now everybody's coming around to my
brock Purdy is gonna start the NFC championship game, and
then it's gonna be Hey, Brock Purdy and and Trey
Lance battling it out in San Francisco for the starting
quarterback job next offseason. I don't see there being anyway

(07:52):
at this point, Mike how Purdy has not played himself
into conversation for being their full time starter, right he is?
He is coming. Yes, we have a very small sample
of him. I get that samples defense that we knew
coming in wasn't good. You're you're, you're, you're correct, You're
you're correct. There. They had been playing a little bit
better of of late, but but still they were starting

(08:13):
to get rolled on running the football. But this is
this is Purty. Now in his third game, he's got
He's gonna have at least two touchdowns, and each of
his first three starts he's completing over seventy of his
past is the guy is accurate. He is not afraid
to make any throws. He has stepped in and and
been even a more effective Mike White where he's come

(08:35):
in with his attitude and his Hey, it's it's a
new day for us. And I'm finding the playmakers and
I'm getting them the football. And we don't have Deebo
Samuel doesn't matter. Hey, welcome back, George Kittle. Welcome back
to all kinds of fantasy and NFL relevance. He's just
out there making plays, making throws off his back foot
when he has to. He's not afraid of anything. This
is a guy coming in. He is just letting it

(08:56):
loose right now, and it's gonna be too hard when
you get to the end the season going Okay, he's
gonna have a couple more games like this, it's what
do we do. We gotta give Purdy a chance to
win the job. But we drafted Trey Lance. That's we're
gonna do. We're gonna put him out. It's gonna be
Purty versus Lance in the summer next year because the
Niners will have no guts to trade one of them.
They're too afraid to do it. They didn't want to

(09:16):
get rid of Jimmy Garoppolo, that Trey Lance on a
rookie contract now for seven years. They just keep extending,
we're gonna keep Jimmy Garoppolo. They'll be too afraid to
do anything. They'll let Jimmy go. And now Jimmy's gonna
have to go because he's hurt and he missed the season.
But you gotta give Brock Purdy a chance to be
your starting quarterback now and be your quarterback of the
present and future because he's been this good he has been. Ah,

(09:37):
he's jump started the offense. All the weapons are clicking.
It's not just McCaffrey. What he has done coming in
here with no reps has been nothing short of amazing. Man.
I am all in on Brock Purty. Yeah, last week
was um I I couldn't have expected. I mean, even
with the travel and all of the things that go
into the scheduling for the Buccaneers, that was a no

(09:57):
show effort from Todd Bowles. Uh, and he tried to
pass the buck as he's wont to do so. Uh.
Look in the mirror every now and again and recognize
how much your defensive unit failed in what was a
pretty good test and an opportunity against the first time
starter fail F for you, and probably some more f's

(10:18):
uttered in the greater Tampa area as they watched that one.
I am a little disappointed. I mean, although I'm not
surprised that you did everything you could to shoehorn Mike
White into the conversation. So well, that's kind of what
you Glad you got that day off so you can
you can get that thought into your head, because I
wanted to make sure people knew when we talked about
new quarterbacks coming in playing great, it's not just Mike White.

(10:41):
There's other guys doing it as well. So I want
to hey, it's not Mike White. I want to make
sure people, Hey, you know, I'm a well rounded host
and we we we get, we get into a lot
of different things. I don't want you to think that
I don't mention Mike. Did you forget about I didn't
get about Mike White? And I heard that Frostburg Now
definitely key in your car. No, definitely we got that tap.

(11:02):
You know, we we've got that on tape like nine
hundred times. It hasn't happened yet. Uh, just saying there's
a chance. Uh, but yeah, I mean in tonight's game,
like they all count and they're all gonna look like
beautiful throws and execution from brock Purty and everybody's gonna
fall over themselves with the accolades, platitudes, etcetera as the

(11:24):
shining new star of it all. Um. The Seahawks twice
forgot to cover George Kittle uh for the touchdowns. Again,
he's gotta make the throw. He's got to get it there.
The first one, nice little move, uh, and throw across
the middle. Nobody within ten yards of George Kittle as
he rum rambles into the end zone. Uh. And then

(11:46):
on the fifty four yard or will that was? That
was just a joke the rest of his reception six
for thirty for Christian McCaffrey. I UK has too for
nine team and Jennings has one for eight. So you know,
in terms of lighting it, you take what the defense
has given you. But he hasn't thrown up on himself.
And that's the bigger thing, right. You had plenty of

(12:06):
opportunity here, uh for teams to scheme, try to get
after it. Seattle missing a little bit of work up front,
and they've been run on consistently. McCaffrey's got four team
for sixty two already on the game. But to your
point with the the NFC title, I used the reference
and you know, I'll show my age and show my

(12:27):
love of reruns on television. And it goes back to
the Johnny Bravo conversation we've had multiple times related to
the San Francisco quarterbacking situation. Fit's the suit scheming up
and man and make it a lot, But that's it.
But you see how many quarterbacks nake it out of
their own way. I can't get most teams don't have

(12:48):
to have a coach that can do this, nor the
number of skill position players, uh that can get this going.
So it's you know, a couple of things that come
into play here. Um. You know, we were talking about
a little bit buyer in for you last night in
terms of the celebration kind of the coaching schemes and
everything else, and people were quick to point out the record.

(13:10):
It's like, yes, obviously wins losses me and everything in.
Jimmy Garoppolo has just a ridiculous win loss ratio with
Kyle Shanahan. The other guys have all had their flash
game or two or three before things went awry. Even
in losses. They showed all right, the scheme can work.
And so that's the point here with party and what

(13:32):
remains to be seen how the season plays out. But
if you could have two quarterbacks, assuming Lance progresses in
his injury comeback, two quarterbacks on rookie deals, I mean
you've you've won the lottery if you're a front office
Brock Purty quarterback of the present, quarterback of the future,
quarterback at the edge. Unless Tom Brady comes in and

(13:52):
kicks his ass. He's a new Tom Brady, doesn't matter,
he's a new toy. Really, you're doing this. You hated
Mac Jones when anybody said that this pie just because
his name is Brock Purdie sounds were hanging out in
boogie nights. Wait till the burmanisms come out for Purdy
and Kittle tonight. I already got all right? Now, wait
do you hear? Be sure to catch live editions of

(14:14):
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten
pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific. There are teams that are
a mess of quarterback and then there's the Pittsburgh Steelers, Right,
Deonte Johnson, who should do a little bit more catching
passes and not dropping them while there there's that he
has he earned the right to say a damn thing
I catch more than uh. Not often you hear a

(14:38):
wide receiver uh stumping for the third string quarterback to play.
But this is what happened today. If Kenny Pickett is
injured and can't play, he would like Mason Rudolph to
get a chance. And this quarterback situation with Pittsburgh has
just been awful from the jump right. Deonte Johnson, Mitch Drobiski,
who has been playing when where picking his hurt gotten

(15:01):
a very animated, heated discussion when he got bench at
halftime in the Jets game when Trabinsky did. Kenny Pickett
has been awful. He's been He's been Zack Wilson awful
this year, but still the Steelers are giving him a
chance to try to win the job. Mason Rudolph's not
happy when when Mike Tomlin said he's kind of been
our two a quarterback, and he's I feel like I've
been inactive all season or long. This is just an

(15:24):
absolute mess at quarterback for the Steelers. And I'm telling
you what's gonna happen. The end of this season comes
and there. They're gonna play this out the next few weeks,
and the Steelers and the Jets are gonna be the
two teams that are out front fighting for that quarterback.
They want to get them to the next level because
both teams feel like we are we are a quarterback away.
Look the Jets, you know their talent level, right, They

(15:46):
got a great defense, the offensive line is good, they
have the playmakers. They are dying for a quarterback. As
much as I love Mike White, he's keeping the seat warm.
Same thing with the Steelers. Right when we're healthy. T J.
Watt is healthy, we have weapons. We need somebody that
can throw the football right. Our story in quarterback can't
throw four touchdowns in nine weeks. We need that and
we'll be fine. We'll be right back to it. The
Jets and the Steelers are going to fight tooth and

(16:08):
nail for the top quarterbacks available in free agency. And
with so many young quarterbacks available, you know a lot
of teams are gonna go for the young guys. There'll
be many more players who are gonna be able to
be shaken loose, and they're gonna it's not just gonna
be Jimmy Garoppolo or maybe you make the big trade
for Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady. You're gonna see guys,
and I'm telling you, these are gonna be the two
biggest guys to look at the very beginning of of

(16:31):
the off season, Derek Carr and Ryan Tannehill, because the
Raiders aren't going to give Car thirty million dollars if
they're going to continue to suck. And you know, the
Titans want to move on. They gave Tannehill a lot
of money, They drafted Malik Willis. They gotta make the
move at some point. Uh, those teams are gonna be
itching to make changes the quarterbacks, and then teams are
gonna look at guys like Tannehill and say, well, the

(16:52):
Rams one with Stafford, they brought him in. He okay,
we can win with Tannehill, He's pretty good. Derek Carr,
we can win with Derek Carr. We have the weapons
all around. These are the guys, and I'm telling you
it's gonna be the Jets and the Steelers are gonna
be out front of the pack of everybody fighting with
each other. They're gonna be linked to every single quarterback
you could possibly imagine. I told you the Jets, we're
gonna do. It's gonna be the Steelers too. Yeah. I
think first off, Yante Johnson, I believe has set some

(17:16):
sort of NFL record for most targets in a season
without a touchdown. He's had, so you got that going
for him. Miss practice today. And it's not like they've
thrown a lot to his They haven't thrown a lot
of touchdowns, you know. But I'm just saying everybody else's no.
The offense has been terrible, right. The run game has

(17:36):
been pathetic. I mean, Nag Harris has been a non
factor all year. Friar Mouth has been hurt going down
the line. The quarterback position has been absolutely dreadful. Touchdowns
all year and Chase Claypool through one of them. But
I'm just saying, no matter who's been under center, this
offense has been awful the entire season. And Travisky comes

(17:59):
in last last week and he just tries to start
winging it around as you any you know, good backup
would saying, hey, I might as well go down swinging,
and he did, and he went down. Uh, Well, if
you're gonna fail, fail spectacularly, as they say, but pick
it limited and once again, you've got all these issues. Yeah,
they're they're gonna take a swing. So I don't think

(18:20):
it's Ryan Tannehill, and I don't I have to wonder
if his starting days are done. So if you want
to bring him in to compete um or he's willing
to just be a backup, then cool. But I don't
know that I want to pay it, you know, him
to to be what he is at this point. But
maybe the Steeler's philosophy remains the same to where we

(18:42):
can play defense well enough and re establish our our
running history, you know, instead of Roethlisberger winging around as
he did in a way a little bit of what
Seattle was right. They start out with the run being dominant,
and then you have Rust attempting to cook for a bit,
and then you go back to basics. Not that Gino

(19:04):
hasn't had some big games, but all at all. Uh,
you've watched them falter miserably when they have no run game,
particularly last week, they had no counter balance and counterattack
to what Carolina was doing on the ground. Uh. Derek
Carr is interesting, right, if you float out all the
potential destinations as we've done with Brady and all these
other quarterbacks. What about Miami if suddenly they hate to

(19:29):
What about right? What about Pittsburgh? What if Baltimore moves
on from Lamar Jackson? Like there's a veritable quarterback carousel
that it is about to start rolling here? Twitter at
how about a fresca? Mike gets swallen, don't Nobody's got
a bigger mess of quarterback in the Steelers. The drama,
the bad place, it's oh my god, they are gonna

(19:49):
go crate. No, no, no, we have Mike White. They
would love to have Are you kidding? They would love
to have Mike White. Oh my god. We don't do
that just because he's He's a would be tough guy.
I want to keep getting out there. You're cut, You're
hurt really bad. No, No, I must play. Can't oh
stop stop, don't put that outcome, don't put that out there.

(20:12):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart
Radio app. Joining us now on the hotline Nobody Better
to break it down NFL on Fox. You follow them
on Twitter at j Glazer Jay. What's happening man team.

(20:33):
Regardless of who played the quarterback there, this is a violent,
technically sound, bullying football team. You know what watching this
Jay when they made the move to Party because they
had two because Garoppolo got hurt, this is yeah, they
were played. They replaced Lance with Garoppolo. They won. To
replace Garoppolo with Party, they're winning even more. You can

(20:53):
see the energy and effectiveness he has. I don't know
that he hasn't played himself into being potentially their long
term it's a quarterback, no, I mean it's just two weeks.
I don't know if here to say that. I think regardless,
Tray Lance is still gonna be the guy next year.
That's always been the plan. They see they here's the
one thing. We're not a practice every day, right, so
we don't see what they see. And they love Trade.

(21:16):
They still love Trey Lance. They still love them. But
you know what what Party doing is. Yeah, obviously it's fantastic,
But the rest of the team, like, man, it's it's
you know, listen, football is still a fight, all right.
And I know we try and take the word violence
out of the sports, the violent sport. It's like trying
to take the word violence out of fighting. It's a fight.

(21:37):
And whoever's gonna be more violent, whoever gonna set up
the step up there and punch you in the mouth
more is gonna Usually in the team the wins, and
that's exactly what the forty matters do. But the thing
that brought party, I'll give him credit, word wasn't too
big for him. And you know, most guys in his
position with caved it would have not been able to
deal with it between the years. And he was just like,

(22:00):
I gotta lose. I'm good. And you know, we've we've seen.
You know, if you if you put a hundred guys
in the position, you've probably seen. And he didn't. Yeah,
I mean he's watched him carve up Todd Bowles defense.
First off, j welcome, good to hear you, buddy. Glad
that your health's back and we got you back on there. Hey.

(22:20):
By the way, whoever says COVID still a little flu
like a little cold, I thought it was too but
man I was wrong, So just be smart, be safe,
and man I I got, I got the old school one.
Man I was, I was. I was laid up for
seven days. That suck. Well, it's good. Good, You sound good? Now,
you sound good? Now, Yeah, I'm better than I was,

(22:42):
thank god. Well he's ready for the violence. Who who
do you would you fear more? Trent Williams if you
were trying to pass our past or Nick Bosa or
Nick Bosa on the other side. Who's more terrifying in
your dreams? I think Trent Williams coming across the lot,
like when he pulled, they pulled him out right, and
they haven't pull off and let these pour a little.

(23:03):
The poor little bastards at cornerback who like parad down
on them is oh my god, yeah, trenches and you
look Nick Is his hands are so violently he stays low.
His leverage is great. But it's got just it's every
one of them. Like it's the attitude of of green

(23:23):
Law and Warner and the rest of the offensive line.
And he saw at the end of the game here too, right,
they were running back in heremation instead of you know,
Christian McCaffrey. It's like they have an attitude. And that's
where like, listen to teams right now that like it's
it's it's a skill game, but form an attitude game.

(23:44):
The Eagles have an attitude, right, And it's what that
team is doing in the trenches. The chiefs evil in
my homes have an attitude, right, there's an attitude. The
ben boats have an attitude to build, have an attitude.
It's an attitude. And that's with listen to it's John
Listen and Kyle Shana And it's the attitude that they

(24:06):
built there. It's the culture that they built. And remember
you know how much people were ripping them for the
for the prey lance move and this and that and
give his rap alow and still looked like they put
this certain attitude in his culture there in San Francisco.
And with that culture, you're and we've seen the like

(24:27):
of the pet like listen with Sean Payton, wasn't the
saint We saw Drew Brees go down there still one.
It's because he had an attitude. He had a culture
that was there, right. So there's a certain like culture
wins out overall. And that's what these two guys have done.
I let's say two guys. It's both John Listen, two
of those guys. They're perfect together. Let me ask both crazy.

(24:49):
They're both crazy, they're both crazy, but they're perfect. Well,
let me ask the third guy in that, Uh, well,
I mean a triple threat match kind of thing. Damiko,
Ryan's he head coach next or something. It should be
absolutely yeah, without a doubt, you know. And it's you know,
I understand like he saw Tom, but man, he's done
such a good job and he look he has a

(25:10):
prom player's point of view. But I asked them also,
I'm like, hey, did he command the room? Like, oh
my god, when he stands up in front of that room,
he commands the room. He gets those guys, he knows
how to motivate those guys. And that's again he could
learn how to set culture and like we're seeing like
Michael Daniel learned how to build culture down in Miami.
Like and here's the thing. Kyle Shannon is brutal on

(25:33):
his assistant coaches. He beats these dudes down and it's
tough love. And man, he sets something. Those guys up
with success, whether they realized or not. When it's going on.
When I said Kyle's brutal to them, he he is brute,
same way belos X brutal to gods. Kyle's brutal to guys.

(25:54):
But to Miko, I think is really you know learned,
and I know because every year the owner has been
in I shut up at day Drinking Day, me and
Mike Tomlins for a year that a little day drinking
day of the Oders meeting or I like, and well
I've always got there, so like last year was it
was the salad with dun of Hands and mcveigh's delicious

(26:14):
and and twenty guy right, and you hear the stories
and you hear what Kyle does these guys and it's
hilarious only because I don't work for him. If I
worked for heim, might want to choke him out. But
how do I buy a seat at the day of member?
Can I tell him that all the time? Tom like man,
if I worked out to choked out, then he's brilliant,

(26:37):
He's he's he's a little evil chief. But he set
up Mike McDaniels for success, and you have Chill set
up Jamiko Rights which success. He set up Robert Salind
for success. All right, well you you mentioned Mike Tomlin.
I think he might need a day drinking day After
today you had Dante Johnson and wanting Mason Rudolph to
start off Kennt Pinkett can't Mason Rudolph's not happy. Mitchell

(26:59):
trip Ski saying, what is happening? Uh, Jay, what's going
on in Pittsburgh right now? With the quarterbacks? You know what,
They're not used to losing, So guys don't know how
to act when they lose there. They've never lost, into
my complic ever, So you know, there's a certain way
to carry yourself when you lose. This guys don't know
how to do it. Yeah, especially with a negative sixties

(27:21):
six point differential as you flow through and we're talking
about touchdown pass. Deante Johnson, the guy chirping a hundred
thirteen targets. We he's yet to find the painted grass,
and I gotta think that's wearing on him after a while. Yeah,
you normally don want to hear it things from my
my comblent teams and again understand and maths. I mean,

(27:43):
oh my gosh, this guy like for him brow it's
up to not get out over the years and for
him never now losing season, dude, you get like a
Nobel Peace prize, right, So this is this is a
change for the norm there because I think they're they've
been so spoiled over there. When they do lose, they

(28:03):
don't have to loose and and uh and kind of
act you know, actually a team Jay Glazer whe us
the Jason Spitzer with Mike Carmon Love from the tirect
dot com studios. All right, j you've been on this
for a while now, is Odell Beckham either imminently signing
with the Cowboys are sitting out the entire season? Like like,
which is It's okay? So I want to want to

(28:25):
I want to say something here so people will kind
of get asked me, do you reported too much ago?
He's been fully clear. Yeah, he was fully clear by
his doctor. She was fully clear. So like so like,
I've been kind of getting killed on social media from
what my social media people tell me, which, by the way,
if you hire a social media person, I should actually

(28:48):
tell them, don't tell me that people are telling me
saying about me on social media, right, Like otherwise why
would I Why am I paying? I hired someone for
my mental health so they doesn't screw my mental health.
And yet I asked because I'm an idiot and J
J shud you should have known you can't hire how
he longed to do that. He's just gonna sit in
the front of the car and going, hey, Jay, here's

(29:09):
some of the tweets that I got Tim. Let me
read you this one. Hey, you might want to answer it.
But like, so, he was fully cleared by Dr Nilotrosh,
who was like the guy when it comes to team
doctors in the NFL, fully cleared to do everything. But
that doesn't mean he's in football playoffs shape yet. So

(29:30):
people are kind of frustrated with what you said. He
was clear, he is clear, he's clear to do everything,
but he doesn't want to run around yet for anybody
because he's not at the O'Dell level that he wants
to be at yet. Now why he's not there yet,
that part I can't explain. That's not the doctor. That's
Tim and his trainers and all that that that part

(29:50):
I don't know, And that's O'Dell um. But he might
want to just make sure that he is before he
runs around for anybody. But man, you know again, people
people heal at different levels, you know. So there's a
there's a there's a thing of your heel from an
ah L, where do you heal to play at a

(30:12):
super Bowl performance level? That's a totally different story, and
that is what it's all the confusing about so like
the Giants and the Bills didn't want him to work out,
the Cowboys wanted them to, and he wasn't. He didn't
want to work out for them because he's not where
he wants to be yet, so he needs some time.
So I think in Odell's bodies, I say, you do

(30:33):
I file in the team here and then just help
him in the postseason. Hope that And and personally I think,
man go with the team and let their training steps everything,
let it be. Let's let you have a structure. The
more you can be there with the structure, and instead
of flying all over the place like he's flying the
buff bloat, he's flying l A's find Arozona, he's flying out,

(30:56):
He's flying out. Man, have a structure and it's before
a seven job is recovering. That's personally what I think
would would help um. But he may also say, you
know what, it's a refre agent market. Let me not
do anything, and I'll work out for teams in the
offseason and you know, be open for the highest sinner.

(31:17):
And I also know like par McNay still wants him
back to the Ram and the Rams are open. Man,
he just do a one year deal and he go
back with them when that team got healthy. So listen
to I can't tell you what was gonna do because
you know, I can just tell you where he like,
where are you physically? Um, But it's yeah, I don't

(31:42):
know how to proper. I think I've answered the question,
but it's it's you know, when did he feel he's
gonna be that level of Super Bowl already? Like he was?
Because by the way the game planned in the Super
Bowl last year, Odell is probably gonna go over two yards.
They do was gonna be THEA and that was the

(32:03):
game plan going in because they knew that Cooper Cup
was appracted and all the attention is going to get
to him. So they knew, like the plan with Rhodel
to literally have a T cattter for two hundred yards.
And I think Odell wants to be back at that
level before he goes back on that field. Hard to
uh come back as anything less. Jay. We we talked

(32:25):
earlier about your physical health and the battle you have
with covid uh. The one thing you do a warrior
for mental health Unbreakable and Mental Health podcast. The latest
one that you had up with with Keith Matten. I
had to stop it. As he started telling his tale
Unbreakable and Mental Health podcast with Jake Glad Well, you

(32:46):
know some of that stuff, it starts to hit you
right to where you know. I went back, but you know,
just he starts telling his tale and and I start
reading the comments and all of that. You know, it's
it's powerful stuff. Man. Man, how about that for people
who haven't listened. Go on as a man who planned
to commit suicide, and he stopped off. He had a

(33:10):
he was stopping at a Walmart, but his GPS took
him to a Target instead, and Target had featured my
book for mental health awareness months in March and March, March,
April May in that area. And he literally planned his
suicide down in um Built in South Carolina, and he said,

(33:34):
I had to go. I was gonna have a three
day thing. And the third day when we told myself
and I stopped off to get supplies for the three days.
And one of the things I knew I was gonna
need a book. And I knew you from TV, but
I don't really know you. But I read a little
bit and it resonated with me. So I read the
book and you know, because I took this wrong turn.

(33:55):
I picked up your book and I finished it in
two days, and by the third day, I packed up,
went home and there's no longer a reason to go
kill myself. And it's, um, it's a story, man, I
tell you. I'm trying to keep it together here, right Like, man,
this guy and he's now told his story all these

(34:17):
other people. He thinks he's saved all these people now
from killing themselves. And it's like listen, like obviously we
just start happen with twitch. Suicide is it is an
academic and I'm trying to dylanize it. And I don't know,
people don't like how I say it, or don't like
how I said whatever it is, I want people stay alive.

(34:38):
So I'm trying to make it. I'm trying to take
the glory away from it. It's it's such an easy
it's it's it's too glorified. Now when when when you
think your life sucks and you see someone else kill
themselves and they can always love for for oh my gosh,
we missed this guy. We love attack so we it's
a power of suggested. Somebody goes my life sucks. I'm

(35:02):
not loved. I'm gonna kill myself now I'm trying to.
I'm trying to drill anize it. You may not like
how I say it or what I say about it,
but I don't really care. I want to make sure
that I keep you alive because you deserved to be alive,
and he deserved to keep other people alive. Kee's mating
I step it up and telling his story on this podcast,

(35:22):
Dave's other people's lives. Keith is not living his best
life and understanding what being of service is, and it's
something he never man, I wouldn't time talking about. He
never thought you could do, man, But oh my god, man,
So please go listen to this podcast. Listen to his story.

(35:45):
Let other people you know struggling listen to his story.
The fact that he almost did it and now it
was telling people about it, and that would saved other
people's lives. That's what life's about. You gotta and you gotta.
You gotta stick around for us all like you've got it.
I I have as much pain as anybody else because
through my ears, but I'm not gonna leave this world

(36:06):
because I'm not gonna I'm not gonna put my pain
on the rest of you all unbreakable with Jay Glazer.
You get it on Apple Podcasts, as also a link
to it on his Twitter page at Jay Glazer. That's
at Jay Glazer. Keep fighting the good fight, man. You're
doing unbelievable work and we we love you coming on
and sharing these stories with us. Every single i'mout crying. O.

(36:28):
