as we come to you live from the ti iraq

Chris Plank. Bonus our right Bonus hour with a lot
of tweets out there for the ti rack dot com studios.

Ti rack dot com will help you get there an
unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free road hazard protection, and

way tire buying should be. Uh, your choice, Your choice,
Arnie Spanier, You want to some tweets? Do you want
to dive into what we learned in week fifteen? Your

(01:04):
call doesn't? Can we do both? Or? No? No one
first segment? No? You know me. I just gotta follow
all the radio rules. I follow uh, Andrew tie shirts
lead is what I do we could do after week fifteen.
I know this was a lot going on right now.
All right, let's do that really good to tweets back

(01:26):
and forth. Chief fan was mad that I didn't give
the proper respect to Patrick Mahomes for careering against a
one win football team, So open apologies, chiefs Fan. I'm
just so happy that you were able to pull something
off in checks over time against a one win football team. Uh.

(01:46):
And and some interesting debates about Jalen Hurts and his
m v P chances and should they be hurt should
they be deemed? You know you saw the line moving.
It's funny because you had brought this up earlier. And
the Jalen hurt story Courts involves a shoulder injury that
I mean, do we really have a good feel about
what the extent is of the shoulder injury? Not when

(02:08):
somebody says it was a dislocated shoulders So there are
a collar boner or something that now we got just
that it's just uh, you know, soreness or just hurt.
I know, I don't know what it's gonna be. I
wouldn't be surprised if he missed the rest of the
regular season. Yeah, it's um, it's not good for those
m v P chances, but it's wild to see how
quickly they flipped because I think Mahomes has pretty much

(02:31):
been the favorite for the m v P and a
lot of people's eyes. But um, I want to make
sure I get these numbers correct here so I don't
screw them up. Earlier today, Jalen Hurts was minus one thirty,
Patrick Mahomes was plus one twenty. The third choice, Josh
Allen was plus a thousand, with by the way, Darryl's

(02:54):
guy Joe Burrow at plus one thousand to shabby. As
soon as we found out about the injury to Justin
for to Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes immediately went to minus
one thirty, Jalen Hurts too plus one ten, and Josh
Allen stayed a plus a thousand. That's pretty Again, I
don't care about MVP awards, but that would seem to

(03:16):
signal that this is going to be, in the eyes
of oddsmakers more of more than just a one game deal,
right right. I mean, if if if Mahomes was the
one that was gonna miss a game or two do
you think he would have been punished so much that
the odds would have taken off in one direction. I
don't think so. I think people he's missing a gamer, dude,
no big deal. We know what he can do. Probably,
So you know what I think unfairly too, is held

(03:37):
against Mahomes. And I think this happens a lot with
the NFL MVP Award. I think when you win it,
I think they're like, oh, yeah, you know, he's already won.
I know, but I feel like we do it a
lot in the NFL too, And this is with a
back to back winner in Aaron Rodgers. But you know,
you think about it with you know, Patrick Mahomes are

(04:00):
arguably should have won four straight MVP Awards. I mean,
if we're just being honest, right, he's been the best
player in the league and should be going for his fifth.
But the Lamar Jackson year, Lamar was really good, and
it's like, oh, well, you know, give it to Lamar.
Aaron Rodgers has been pretty good the last two years,
but no one ever really wanted to give it to
Brady and back to back years. Um, I mean Aaron

(04:21):
Rodgers had won in the fourteen probably could have wanted
in fifteen too. So I think sometimes we get weird
as voters even though we're coming off and I say,
we you guys, even though you're coming off back to
back winners. I think some which is wife Aaron Rodgers
was anywhere close. Aren't you knew he wasn't gonna win
this year? But how do you think sometimes they're weird
about past winners. But you know, the last time the
homes one was eighteen, so maybe he is due or

(04:44):
maybe this injury has just Jalen hurts back in week
sixteen or weeks seventeen, excuse me, and and he's good
to go regardless. It would lead you to believe that
these numbers have you a little bit more than just hey,
he's gonna miss Sunday against the Cowboys. You would think
that they know something that we don't know, and that
it could be two or the rest of the regular season.

(05:06):
I don't want to read too much into it, but
it's not any big turnaround. It is for sure, all right. Um,
So I wrote a few down. We we have this bit.
We do it every single Sunday night here on Fox
Sports Radio kick Off for Final Hour, and it it
surveys surveys. Excuse me. It carries over to all sports
and it is where we dive into the week that
was and we tell you what we've learned and what

(05:28):
we know. So, Um, after week fifteen, Arnie, I know this.
Where do you want to start? After week fifteen? I
know this. I'll start with something simple, Um, San Francisco.
No matter who the quarterback is, Jimmy g or uh
you know, Brian Purdy, they're kicking ass. This is a
team that I wasn't down a high on it at

(05:50):
the beginning of the year. To be honest with you,
I thought they were gonna make the playoffs, but I
thought they'd be probably one and and done. They have
one of the best defenses I've seen in a long time.
They are just getting people out there. They may find
themselves in the Super Bowl, that's how good they are,
no matter who the quarterback is, because they're winning. Their
defense is just too strong out there. After fifteen weeks,

(06:10):
they've got the best defense by far in the NFL.
I know that, Chris, Um I I can't argue with
you too terribly much on that. I would like to.
I would like to, all right, Um, I've got one
for you after Week fifteen. I know this, the absolute
freak out is on right now in Baltimore. And I
kind of didn't expect this because I mean, listen, I

(06:33):
hang out with you and I have for a decade,
and you told me how incredible Ti Huntley is and
how he was the guy that should probably be taking
over for Lamar Jackson. But I mean, now John Harbos
is having to come out, and they've got questions about
whether or not staff changes should be made. And I

(06:53):
mean this is this is a nine and five football
team that's been without their starting quarterback, that's uh only
two and two in their last four games, and literally
your coaches getting peppered about staff changes. Um, someone had
to make shift handwritten flyers that read fire Greg Roman

(07:14):
outside of the team's interest entrance. He's their out offensive coordinator. Uh.
Baltimore outside linebacker Tias Bauer posted a video of the
pieces of notebook paper on Instagram with the caption quote,
well all right then, um, so I mean listen, you're

(07:34):
still kind of what what are we doing? Baltimore fans?
You're still in position to make the playoffs, You're starting
quarterback is out. What are you? What are we By
the way, how is it gonna end up for Lamar
Jackson for next year? Are they going to get him
the three and thirty million dollar contract? Are they gonna
go in franchise tag him. Is he gonna go ahead
and hold out if they franchise tag him. Are they

(07:55):
gonna just say, fine, go go to another team. How's
it gonna play out for him? I think they're gonna
try to move them, really I do. I think they're
gonna try to move them. Is that crazy? I would
think they would give him the franchise tag, but I
wouldn't put it past I think that'd be the second option.
Third option is not giving him that that money. I
don't think they want to give it to him. Chris,

(08:17):
I think I think that this is going to be
another fascinating offseason with quarterbacks because I think you're gonna
have veterans like Brady potentially car Garoppolo that are gonna
be out there that will draw some interest. I think
you're gonna have younger guys like Jordan's Love I loved

(08:37):
going back to our first hour with Jason lachanfor has
said about Jordan's Love, the Packers can't do anything with
Aaron Rodgers, Arnie. So do they try to go out
and recoup a little bit whenever it comes to say
Jordan's Love, to help them build up a little bit
of their draft capital with someone you willing to give
up a couple of seconds, maybe a first for Jordan's Love.

(08:57):
I mean not if you're not showcasing him, right, so
that would be And then then of course you might
have the you might have the big haymaker. You might
have Lamar Jackson out there, and I think I think
that you might be wanting to pay attention to that.
Harn'ty in my inn, Lamar Jackson, suddenly, no, no stop
at two is my quarterback. Though I would say this.
I know Cousins is under contract. But if I was

(09:18):
in Minnesota and if I didn't have to take Cousins
back next year, I would say, let me think about
taking Lamar Jackson. I would that would be a good
spot for him in Minnesota. If that was a possibility,
I will say, um, I love the idea of Lamar Jackson,
but much like Jalen Hurt, you gotta build a system
around him so you know you can't put him in

(09:39):
every and just every I mean you've got to create
a lot of different ideas and in ways to take
advantage of his leg which legs with a lot of
quarterbacks and and a lot of offensive coordinators haven't really
done that well. So I don't know. I think he's
gonna be available this offseason. I think it's gonna be fascinating.
I'd have to if my turn it's all right after

(10:00):
fifteen weeks. I know this. And this goes out to
the Bills fans and my wife out there. You guys
are not all that badass, and you played at home
with a bad weather, the snow coming down Miami. You
can't do in Miami. If it's not eighty two degrees
and sunny, they're gonna whilk away. This is gonna be
a butt kicking out there. You can't play the Bills
when it's snow and it's freezing. They got too much

(10:23):
of a home of Boulogney. Should have lost that damn game.
We had you, we had you there. You're not that badass,
my friend. You're you're not as tough as you think
you are, and you're very beatiful. Dolphins should have won
that game. Dolphins should have taken the series. Uh, two
games to nothing, but they fall up a little bit short.
I wish I had another chance against them. You might
get one. I'm hoping. I'm hoping you might get one. Arenie, Now,

(10:47):
are you worried at all? Are you worried at all
about the Packers next week? No? No, no, none, whatsoever.
That's a w No. No, I'm not worried about any better.
I'm not worried about any of the three games left. Wow,
look at you not. I'm worried about the Jets, and
I'm not worried about the Patriots. Um well, I watched

(11:10):
Mac Jones play this weekend. I don't think you should
be worried about the Patriots. I'm worried about that at all.
And I feel more worried if I was the quarterback.
I've got like three more here. Oh my gosh. After
I really did some prep for this show tonight. I
was ready to go after after a week fifteen. I
know this Tennessee is in big trouble, and I know

(11:30):
this isn't necessarily breaking news, but for some reason, over
the last few years, this network has become very tightan centric, uh,
and I'm constantly being told how great the Titans are
and how incredible their coaches, UM. And yet here they
are at seven and seven, And what I've had to
accept after fighting with you about it for so long,
is the worst division in the National Football League and

(11:54):
they well outside of the NFC South is the second
worst division in the National Football League, and they are
fighting for their playoff lives with a road game upcoming
against Jacksonville, a team that beat them by two scores
at home. UM A home game against the Cowboys, team
that will be trying to bounce back, probably after losing
back to back games if they fall to the Eagles.

(12:16):
And I guess, according all the chief fans in my
mentioned tonight, this incredible juggernaut in Houston that is just
unstoppable right now. So I I mean, I'm starting to
think Arnie more and more that this has the look
of like a seven and ten eight and nine football
team right now that is is struggling with an injured quarterback,

(12:36):
has a young quarterback that's just not quite there yet,
and teams are able to tee off on Derrick Henry.
They've got no balance, they've got no diversity in their offense.
I honestly think they're in big trouble. I think Jacksonville
could win that division. In fact, the Jaguars going to
the final three games controlling their own destiny to win
the a f C South. Wow. That who would have
thought that that would have happened after the start they

(12:58):
got off to. That is just in credible. They've made
great strides over the last couple of years. Um, it's
just fascinating to what they were doing last year to
where they are right now. You know, yeah, well I agree,
you got anymore? Well just one more and after fifteen weeks,
I know this. I think everybody has jumped on the
Detroit Lions bandwagon. Um. Out of all the teams um

(13:20):
in the NFL, I think the Lions are like the
darlings of the NFL right now. Everybody wants to see
them get in because it's been so long, though, I
gotta tell you when they I saw a list of
the teams that haven't been to the playoffs the longest.
Miami's in the top five and they made it in
twenty sixteen. So I guess, uh, you know, you really
don't have to go through that long of a drought.
But yeah, I want the Lions to get it in

(13:42):
the worst way. I just I'm just not sure they
could pull it off. Almost see if Washington continues to
struggle and I think Seattle is gonna falter too, So
I'm hoping the Lions find a way. You know. Again,
some of these games, I am, um, I am a
big Red Zone guy, so I don't get to see
and watch like every single play, so I have to

(14:02):
go back and read a lot, Like for instance, you
know when I'm like, hey, you know, I didn't really
feel like my homes had a great day, and then
you go back and look at the statue, like, holy yes,
you know that's that's a historic day that he had.
But for the most part, when you're watching it on
Red Zone, you just see it's a tight game. I
say that because I guess I didn't realize until I
kind of went back. Dan Campbell apparently still has a

(14:23):
lot to do, work to do in clock management and
and kind of he handles his time outs like I
listened to Mike Lombardi just absolutely destroy him. I was
hearing my my guy up in Detroit, Bill Simons, and
just destroy him. And it's a great story, right, there's
seven and seven. Well, because they're not properly using time outs.

(14:45):
They're giving other teams opportunities, and they nearly gave the
Jets a chance to what when that football game so
or at least push it into overtime. So yeah, I, um,
I don't know. I'm with you, hope that the lines
in making the playoffs, But I keep wondering if Dan
Campbell if there's a little bit too much work for
him to still do in game management. Yeah, you know

(15:07):
when it comes to the time outs and stuff. I
saw one one coach they were like, I can't remember
who was. They showed a close up of him and
he's on the headset going should we call time out now?
Or should we wait? You can either should we call
time out? I'm like, he's he's asking somebody else if
he should call dive out? He shouldn't you know that
before the before the play went off? My goodness, Hey
anymore any you've got a coach that that's his job,

(15:30):
You've got like a game management coach, And um, yeah,
I think I actually know which game you were talking.
I think that was in this I think that was
in the Saturday night game because I think I think
that was the Bills Dolphins. I think it was McDermott. Anyway,
I've got I've got two more quick ones and then
we'll move on. And I know we're up against the
TI shirt, so I'll be quick. Um, I'll say to
you that I'll save you the chiefs love. I had

(15:52):
all kinds of chiefs love on here, but y'all show off. Um,
something's truly wrong in Seattle. And I know that that
doesn't come across as making a lot of sense whenever
there're seven and seven. But I just get this sense
that we're seeing Pete Carroll's last year's in Seattle. Am
I crazy? Last year? Last year? Right? And I get

(16:17):
it right, Paul Allen rest in peace had great things.
And I get a lot of Seahawk fans my revolt
against this because this is an incredible story, right Geno
Smith from out of nowhere, traded away Russell Wilson, and
now look where the Seahawks are, right, Look look where
the Seahawks are. Um bottom line. More than anything else,

(16:40):
it's just I don't know. I feel like maybe they're
looking to make a change and they'll get their quarterback
with the top five pick and go from there. Um,
But I don't know, just something seems a little bit
off in Seattle right now. They've had a good run. Uh,
Thursday night was a little bit embarrassing against San Francisco
with some of the mistakes that they made. But am

(17:02):
I crazy in thinking that, um, that maybe this is
it for Pete Carroll? Well, his ages ill, there's no
doubt about that. And you know, I know he wants
to continue. He certainly, you know, lives like he's young.
He's like a you know, a young what is the sixties,
seven sixty eight or something like that. He he comes
across that way. He's still having fun out there, but

(17:24):
sooner or later, father time catches up to everybody. I'm
I'm thinking that maybe not after this year. I think
he's got a couple more years left, but not more
than maybe two after this year, all right, and then
I had one more here. I think that I think
the Indianapolis Colts should start thinking tank city. And I
know that you're you're kind of anti tanking. And one

(17:46):
of my best friends is is an Indianapolis Colts fan.
But you know, what good are you going to do
with a sixth pick in the draft? Just go ahead? Um,
I think if you play this thing smart. You could
end up with maybe the second or third pick in
the draft, and then you might have your choice of
either the best defensive player in the draft or the

(18:09):
best linemen in the draft, but maybe the second best quarterback.
I mean, because if this Jugger not Houston gets going
in one, twelve and one, then who knows, maybe they
could drop the two or three. I just I can't
believe how poorly things have gone in Indianapolis. And I
mean that's a that's a team this season that came
into the season with some high hopes, right, got Matt Ryan,

(18:32):
But I don't really know what what they can accomplish
in their final few weeks. And it's crazy because they've
been in some tight games, right, they were tight with Philadelphia,
they beat the Raiders, they were they should have beaten Minnesota.
That Cowboys game. You look at the final score and
it's insane. But Arnie, that was a tight We were
watching that on Sunday Night Football together. That was a

(18:52):
tight game going into the fourth quarter. Hell, they had
a lead in the third quarter and then ended up
giving up like fifty. So you got the Arger's Giants
in Houston down the stretch. I tank I'd say, Jeff Saturday,
you're gonna be our coach next year. Play the young guys.
Let's see what we got right, never never getting the
number one. They can't take that far. At least was

(19:13):
at least to what was the win total for the
coach coming into the year, like nine or ten or
something like that. You know, No, it was right around there. Yeah.
I wonder who's had the worst year with the highest
win total coming in. I wonder who's done the wars
so far this year? Oh, it would have to be
ye have to be there. Well, Arizona was not. Probably
the Rams, No, nothing, all right, So when we come back,

(19:33):
Peter King Saints there you go, right, when we come back.
When we come back, Arnie, I'll give you the number
and the biggest disappointment coming up next, we're live on
the tire rack dot Com studios. It's Arnie and Plank.
Fox Sports Radio. Be sure to catch live editions of
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harman weekdays at ten
pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific. No, you're getting a lot

(19:55):
on Twitter out there. It's it's going crazy on you.
To teach you a lesson to say something think bad
like that? What did I say bad about the Texans?
Now they're getting on. The Texans are getting on so
so so far tonight I've got let's see. Uh, the
Texans fans are mad at me. Justin and Cincinnati writes, Plank,
screw you the fact that you can't recognize Houston as

(20:16):
the second greatest defensive all time, only to the Bears.
But on that it sounds like a Chief fan right
about now? Uh? And then de Rock de Rock, I
think the Rock is a Raiders fan, at least I
think he writes, Yeah, Patrick Mahomes, DeVante Adams an actual
running game would be a disaster. L O L. They

(20:39):
should take you off the air, the Rock. It took
me about twenty minutes to decipher what you were trying
to say. But this is something that I don't think
Raider fan is quite figured out. Davante Adams isn't a
Raider without Derek Carr. So this so now when you're like,
where they just swap teams, well, yeah, I Vante Adams

(21:00):
and Josh Jacobs, it's a different story. But the Raiders
also don't have the offensive line that Kansas City does.
In fact, I'm surprised Derek Carr is still upright, So
because you would ask the question, what if like you swapped, well,
just because we were talking about m VP, how good
would Mahomes be and you know what, would he take
the Raiders too? I just I think the Raiders are

(21:22):
a curse. I think we would probably do something. He
would probably get hurt, knowing our luck. But well, if
it is Davante Adams and if it is Josh Jacobs
and and they get something out of their offensive line,
then sure the Raiders would be better with Patrick Mahomes
and Derek Carr because I don't think. I don't think
Derek Carr is coming back. I I don't know how,
So I agree, I think they should go get Patrick Mahomes.

(21:44):
I whether or it is he is going to end
up though, and what kind of quarterback he's going to
be for another team, That's what I'm so. I started
this practice about five or six times, and in every
single time it's it's I just get either I get
too bored or I'm like this is in saying because
I keep coming up with about ten different quarterbacks in

(22:04):
new places, and I haven't even included the rookies yet. Like,
for instance, so I brought up to Lamar. You brought
up Lamar Jackson, right, and we talked about cash the future,
what could be a place that he ends up suddenly
started looking at a place like Atlanta, right, well, that
that would be a good place. No, absolutely, but I
think they'll franchise at tacking. But if he is gordon
to leave, that would be a good place for and

(22:25):
and my idea, or at least when you brought it up,
was they realized they're not going to sign him to
a long term deal, try to get something in return,
so you know, work something out with Atlanta, or work
something out with Miami. But Miami doesn't have any first
round picks this year, so they keep getting taken away
from me. Then and then what they do is when

(22:46):
they get those picks, they end up trading them for players,
so you end up getting guys. But yeah, I think
that would be interesting. But I'll just I know we're
up against it. For a final update of the night,
But as I was rolling through and I started thinking
about places who could have a different starting quarterback next year. Seahawks, Niners, Falcons, Saints, Panthers, Buccaneers,

(23:07):
the entire NFC South. Um, I mean potentially the Lions.
Even though things are looking good. Quarterbacks got to go
somewhere too, you know what I mean, the Commanders, the Giants,
that's nine. The Raiders would make ten. The Texts, Like
I said, I didn't do the draft yet, but the
Texans would be eleven. Colts would be twelve. So I mean,

(23:28):
that's that's twelve right there. And I don't know if
you want to include the Jets in this or not
to make a thirteen. I mean, I just think we're
on the cusp of an absolutely freaking wild offseason with
quarterbacks once again, no, absolutely, and um, you know, not
all these quarterbacks will be replaced with rookies either. You
go get yourself a nice veteran quarterback, a bridge quarterback

(23:48):
until you get that um, you know veteran or that rookie, uh,
you know, learning the offense. What are the Tide's gonna do?
Because I don't think week is the answer either. I
think they've got to go to different directions. I think
he's gonna be on that Jordan's love plan, right, give
him couple more years. And Amileek Willis is who aren't
talking about who came in and had to play a
little bit and they threw what two passes when they played? Um?

(24:08):
Not good? But yeah, I think Tennessee is gonna be
an interesting place to try to make a big splash too,
because I think they feel like they're a quarterback away.
But remember who else felt like they were at quarterback away?
The Carolina Panthers. How's that going for the Denver Broncos?
The Denver Broncos. Be sure to catch live editions of
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten

(24:30):
pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and
the I Heart Radio app. Coming to you live from
the tire rack dot Com studio. I can't believe, Arnie.
I can't believe you didn't read what might be the
greatest tweet of the night. All right, get to that,
can I? Just as he finished up the update, can
I just say one thing? I know you're the college group, Sure,

(24:52):
go ahead, not to bring up my Arizona wildcasts. Did
you see we got a guy from Georgia, Alabama and
Oregon go in to Arizona? Did you see that thing that? Yeah?
I did? I did. That's insane. We'll go to the
playoffs next year. Yeah, did you see where your best
wide receiver went, yeah, I saw that. That kind of

(25:13):
hurt that way. Yeah, the US, Right, why would you
do that? I mean, do we do? You really want
to embarrass yourself? What Arizona's on the upswing there? Don't
don't get going there. Why USC didn't make the playoffs? Well, right,
but they did play in the pack twelve championship games,
so I mean that can be. We're gonna play it

(25:33):
the next Uh. Yeah, let's see, you got justin Flow
from Oregon. I hear that's a linebacker, Bill Norton, an
offensive lineman from Georgia. And uh, let's see, you've lost
a dude to Auburn. You've lost a dude to USC,
another guy to us. They're taking our good. Some guys

(25:56):
switched from Alabama. And why would you want to go
to Alabama when you go to Arizona. I don't see
this guy that's that's switched from Alabama. Arizona there is.
I'll have to look that up. I'll fin I'm looking
at the portal right now, so I see I see
the Arizona do they went to you? Mass My gosh,
really big time there. Wow, you're picking up my team

(26:18):
a little bit a little bit here. I don't see
anyone though that's gone from Alabama. Yeah, I'm not saying
it's not out there, but what's his name? He was
committed to Alabama? Excuse me? Was okay? So a commitment, well,
that's big deal. Alabama could have easily said we've got
the number one recruiting class in the country. Sun need

(26:39):
to go play somewhere else. But no, And I'll add
this Wednesday. And I'm not trying to bring recruiting talk
to a national network yet. In time, baby, but Wednesday's
signing day. I think it's gonna be fascinating, right, But Wednesday,
it's it's the first signing day. We still have the
second signing day. We all to have the close of

(27:00):
the portal coming up here in January, and then the
reopening of the portal coming up in May. So we've
got like we've got college free agency with like a
hint of the draft and then another draft and another
round of college free ations. Something we're not gonna get
to today the new offseason. Yeah, exactly, something we won't
get to today. We probably won't even know the answer

(27:22):
for this for a while. But that transfer portal, the
kids that go to that fifties sixties. Seventy percent of
those kids won't even find a team. Some some that's
a bad thing. They're gonna lose their education. They're not
gonna get a free scholarship. This is not This might
not turn out as great as everybody thinks is you know,
we see all great for the kids if you get
the transfer without sitting out. What about all the other

(27:43):
kids that never found another school, and all those kids
from Colorado, what are they gonna do when they can't
find another school. I I'm just worried that too many
kids are gonna be without education. No, you're not. You
just want Arizona to win. Now, there's the numbers right here.
According to on three UM Scholarship Division one FPS, players
in the portal one thousand, three hundred forty right. The

(28:07):
number is even larger when you consider walk ons too.
But the number of players who have committed to a
school two hundred and fifty seven out right, and seven
have a drawn their name. So so far, of the
number of players that are in the portal, only nineteen
percent have found new homes. Now, we got a long
way to go, that's look. But the other eight percent,

(28:29):
some of them will find that most of them will
find that we don't know yet. We don't know jeus
we we we don't know. But I I am intrigued.
I I love the Arnie. I love the portal. Let
me tell you what real gosh, why did you bring up?
I want to say? How many on Colorado find another team?
Is what I'm interested in. Well, here's the funny thing
with Colorado. They're about already get an influx because the

(28:51):
whole Jackson State team just went in the portal today.
But I am I love the portal because it gives
us another phase of the off season college. It's like, yeah,
free agency and it's a beautiful thing. Alright. Here's here's
the text of the night or tweet of the night.
Excuse me, you will never be better than my man
d Stover on Twitter who Arnie hasn't tweeted in two years.

(29:15):
He hasn't tweated since September twenty and it seemed like
in September he tried to go with like this big
philosophical thing and it failed miserably, so he quit Twitter
tweet for two years. He has one follower and follows
absolutely nobody. The only follower he has is someone called

(29:39):
conservative Son. After a two year hiatus, he jumped on
Twitter to say this, Arnie, why do you let walk
the plank? Very creative, take you down these rabbit holes.
He clearly has issues with all things Kansas. Still oh

(30:00):
waiting for Ku, he says, we in here. I'll give
you a break. You haven't tweeted in two years. Uh
it's still waiting for Ku. And O you and hoops
to this day, do better plank, research your new material?
Hell something two years? Two years and you botch the

(30:20):
whole Sweet you don't. Oh gosh, I hate sunflowers. That's
the problem. No, I have nothing against Kansas. I just
here's the thing. Do you care about your quarterback winning
the m v P? Are do you care about winning
the super Bowl? Because if you care about your quarterback
winning the m v P, great, congrats, probably gonna happen.

(30:42):
But if you care about one of the Super Bowl,
you probably should be beating the Texans by more than
a score and overtime. All right, A couple of quick straights, Uh,
quick tweets before we get out here, because do you
have your picks coming up next? Do we still do this? Yeah?
I have a few picks, not thinking nothing earth chattering.
I'm gonna do just the NFL. I'm not gonna do
the ball games. But nobody knows who these teams that
are playing that, so I'll give I'll give Roger the

(31:04):
engineers some credit here. He's a terrible tweeter, but he
doesn't stop shooting his shot like this. No secret. The
Chief's defense needs to play better in the playoffs, and
right now I think Andy Reid is calling plays to
develop other parts of the offense besides Travis Kelsey. If
you noticed, he hasn't been targeted in the red zone
for several games, hardly at all. You know, it seems
like they throw to him every time. I would just

(31:26):
guard Eleving guys guard Kelsey and then everybody else gets
to just forget about it. It's Eleving guys on Galacy
that Mango, Alex Rights Gardner minshoot tears it up the
last three games that could actually hurt hurts chances for
m v P. That's true, absolutely well, if he misses
three games and forget about it. But I brought that
up to you earlier. If he has been sho plays

(31:47):
real well, are thinking to say, we look at that
Jalen Hurts only played well. Well, it's the product of
the team, and what a great team isn't anybody could
take over for him. Darryl writes, Tua is never going
to be Joe Burrow yet or otherwise. He'll never be
that size, He'll never be able to push the ball
down the field at that rate. Joe Burrow is for real, guys.

(32:08):
Look at the way he carries himself to he expects
to when he is special. Look Joe Burrows for real.
That that's not the equation. Here's if Toa is ever
going to reach that level. It's not about how you
know good or bad. Burrow is is too. Are going
to be able to match those guys? I think he
will probably by next year. Speaking of two, I've had

(32:28):
a good back and forth tonight with that iron range Iceman,
which is an awesome Twitter handle. He writes to how
to run. He's got the weapons and now he's exposed.
I'm a Vikes fan, and they got and they've got
a great record right now. But I think it's a
lot of smoke and mirrors, and Hurts has all the
pieces around him. Good line, good defense, great running game,
and top wide receivers, Yet Mahomes finds himself an offense

(32:51):
without a defense fair enough. You know what I think
about Minnesota. You know, everybody's still bringing up that whole
minus one uh plus minus ratio for them. They people
are not forgetting about it for some reason. Is just
sticking out real tough for them, you know what I mean?
I am so happy that some dude was so fired
up about my alleged dis date for kids, me of

(33:13):
all people. All Right, when we come back, Arnie's picks
and a couple of final thoughts right here on Fox
Sports Radio. Be sure to catch live editions of The
Jason Smith Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern,

(33:57):
taken away with the stink ingenius and his All right,
let me give you a couple of picks. Let's start
with the game on Thursday. I'm all over Jacksonville. I
gotta lay the one and a half on the road
against the Jets. This is actually gonna be a good game.
We kind of laughed about this, but all of a sudden,
it's got a lot of significance in it. Um, I'll
be pulling for Jacksonville, but I liked him. I'll lay
the one and a half on the road against the
Jets out there right. A couple of other games in Lanta.

(34:19):
Is gonna be at Baltimore. Baltimore seven a half point favorite.
I'm gonna take Baltimore and this when they can't look
any worse than they did against Cleveland when they lost
thirteen to three. Hopefully they bounced back at home they
take care of Atlanta. I would have take Minnesota lay
in the three and a half had they lost to
the coach, I would have been loving Minnesota. But I
still like him against the Giants. Giants are winning. I
don't know how they're doing it, Pike, but they're winning

(34:42):
with Daniel Jones. So but I'm gonna lay the points
of Minnesota to see what happens there, Chicago and Buffalo.
Would you believe the Bills are an eight and a
half point favorite on the road in Chicago, Um, that's
way too many. I think the Bills got up for
the game against Miami. They'll be a little bit of
a letdown and give me the bear plus the eight
and a half in that one. And of course the

(35:04):
last game my Miami Dolphins against the Green Bay Packers.
Dolphins now up to a five and a half point favorite.
Lay at people beautiful weather. Dolphins went by two touchdowns
and get that ninth victory, A big victory there. There
you have my picks, two of them, as you please.
No longer strictly for entertainment purposes only. You're gonna be
okay if that doesn't happen, though, No, then I'm not

(35:27):
gonna I'm not coming in the work on somedayue you
don't have anything else, Yeah, but I'm not coming. I'm
not gonna talk to if that happens. I just won't talk.
I don't think that you have that capability. I don't
think that you watch and see if they lose. I'm
gonna be in a bad man. Already got sports anxiety
as it is. Right now, right right, I think by

(35:47):
the way, by get real quick, am I allowed to
be mean to you? Yet he didn't say anything about
what did you get your Christmas present? No? Oh, in
said it was delivered today, So I figured I can
start being mean to you again. See, I have this
theory that Arnie gives Christmas presents and then once you
get the Christmas present, can be mean to you. Yeah,

(36:11):
that's what you know what? Actually, there's a package inside
that my girls had brought in. There you go. The
only thing I want to make sure did I get
some of the little smoky beefsteaks that yes, yes, those
will be gone in a harvey. Well, thank you, Arnie
Nuss And we were. In fact, it was funny because
we have a handful of people we still need to

(36:33):
send gifts too, and knowing that this is all Beth's
doing and not Ears, I've got to make sure to
send Beths something. I do want to take a moment
to thank Kevin, why are tonight? Great job on updates, Um,
I love getting a chance to hang out with Alex
ti Shirt and Ryan bur Shinger. Great job Justin as well,
who helped us out this evening. And thanks to Jason
locknfora we I went over two and my guest I

(36:55):
tried to get on tonight. So I struck out trying
to get Lincoln Kennedy on, and I struck out trying
to get um John McMullan on. But I'm gonna leave
you with with an absolutely fantastic story. So I've been
on the Chiefs a little bit tonight and the right
unfairly so maybe, but maybe this story's kind of hit
me in a tough spot. Chief's super fan apparently is

(37:17):
on Twitter at Chiefs a Halic is his name. His
real name is Xavier Michael badgudar um Arnie. He's very popular,
talks about gambling on the games all the times, crazy
crazy Chiefs fan on Twitter, always talking trash. Well, apparently
he was quiet during the game this week, so everyone
kind of freaked out a little bit. They did a

(37:39):
little digging. He got arrested for robbing a bank, apparently
on his way to the Kansas City game this weekend.
He stopped in Tulsa and robbed a bank, got caught,
and his bond was set at two hundred thousand dollars.
Chief and what are we doing? Have a great week.
