the Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon on Fox Sports Radio. Oh,
big questions, big questions to be answered to this shower.
Who's in the I'm asking who's in the driver's seat
in both conferences? Like it to be some shocking thing
if we send the Eagles, but there is a wrench
that has been thrown into it all with a Jalen

(00:44):
Hurts injury. Will the Rams rally on Monday night? Football
is probably not? And uh, I'm not looking good. A
lot of NBA stuff tonight. It would come the live
from the tiro dot com studios. Ti rack dot com
will help you get there and unmatched so I action,

thousand recommended installers. Tire rack dot com the way tire

(01:06):
buying should be. I thought there was a chance. I
thought there was a chance. I'm just just one thing
of what we talked about last hour. I'm a little
disappointed that Belichick didn't go off and you know, scream
and antrum and um, you know, get snarky or get
mad at the reporters or anything like that. After that game,
I I expected Belichick at his best, and it seemed

(01:28):
like it didn't even bother him. It's like, you know,
skin old man, he's getting soft, kidding, kidding, No. I
needed something. I needed. I needed to get all snarky
at a reporter or just say you know what, this
this is over, ram out of here or something, give
me something. But he didn't do anything. He just I
mentioned every time I watched that and we just played
the highlights of the Patriots and the Raiders radio network.

(01:51):
So thanks to the New England Patriots in the Las
Vegas Raiders Radio Network from making those available to us.
You're on Fox Sports Radio. So who screwed up? More?
I mean, but I loved we got the promo going.
I think it's Jason from The dug Ottlieb Show. Or
if someone points out why is Chandler Jones just hanging
out back there well behind the play anyway. It's literally

(02:14):
one of the all time great moments of being at
the wrong place at the exact right time. I mean,
there is no way in any chase situation the Chandler
Jones is supposed to be standing back by the quarterback
unless he started to chase and saw him through and
throwing it around. I won't make excuses for him. It worked.
But on the other side of it, on the Patriots side,

(02:36):
you point a finger Belichick, Kevin Meyers, from Honor Stevenson,
some of blame att Patricia, Like who does the ultimate
blame fall on for that? Um? Well, first of all,
it has to go to Belichick because he's the head coach.
But the never the place should never have run. You
should take a knee, um. Belichick said that they didn't
think they could reach the end zone. So if you

(02:57):
can't reach the end zone on a helm mary, then
then forget about it. Didn't you take a knee? Was
running the ball, you could fumble or God forbid something
like that happens. So you just take a knee and
you go into overtime and you see if you can
win in overtime. So Belichick is the one that I've
got to go and blame, and then I after that,
I gotta go and blame the players, Jacoby Meyers for
throwing in, Stevenson for for pitching it also, so they

(03:20):
gotta take the blame after that. It's kind of funny
because you know, the debate amongst a handful of my
peeps and what I've seen on social media. There's no
way they thought that they were losing, right, I mean,
there's no way though. Yeah, okay, all right, I just
they cleared that. They cleared that up. I mean the
Jacoby Meyers said, no, I knew that the score was tied.

(03:40):
I was just trying to be a hero or something
like that. Yeah, he said, I was trying to be
the hero in that situation. But it's just it's so wild,
and I get it. You know, maybe in that moment,
it's easy to think that there wouldn't be a defender
just standing back there right in front of the quarterback.
I'm still I'm still blown away. Comedy grips to it
because it us have so many far reaching arms, right right,

(04:03):
you know, it's not beyond the rema possibility that he
didn't know the score. He just didn't want to admit it. Um.
You know, it's kind of like in the Viking game
they kicked the one in overtime. Um, how much time
was left? Do you remember in that game? Um, when
they kicked the game winner? Because hold on, I can
pull it up for you right now, because I think
justin Jefferson said, oh, there's still time left on the clock.

(04:25):
He didn't realize that the game was over and they
had won the game. I think there was three seconds
left if I'm correct, I'm not sure, and he held
up like a three to say, there's still three seconds off.
We gotta kick it off or something. And I was like, no,
we won, we won the game. It's over. You know,
you're exactly But I don't think. I don't think it
was just him. I think they said it on the
radio broadcast too. I'm not even kidding, because I was

(04:47):
listening on Saturday for that game. Um, and I mean, listen,
you guys can call me out if you want, But whenever,
it was thirty six to seven in the in the
third quarter with four fifty three to go, I was like,
I gonna run some errans. I'm gonna get ready for
the night game. I'm gonna get some stuff done around here.
I want to watch the two games they're gonna be
played in the snow. And I listened to a lot

(05:09):
of it on the radio network, and I think the
radio guy even said it too. He's like, now hold
up here, eybuddy, there's there's still three seconds no yeah,
on the TV broadcast and even says next score wins. Uh, So,
you know, and they should know that in the radio
broadcast also that that that's I And I'm not here
to throw anyone under the bus, but yeah, just you're

(05:30):
having a situational awareness. Bill Belichick talked about it. We've
got to have situational awareness. By the way, speaking of that,
I am vicariously living right now through Ryan burrshing or fighting,
scratching and clawing to keep Aaron Jones out of the
end zone. And this is wild because he is a
Packers fan too. Now I hate people like I love it.

(05:52):
You know what it's I told Burch during the break,
I'm not playing fantasy football this year because somehow, somehow,
the guy who finished runner up in league last year, Arnie,
somehow his invitation get and get sent to the right
email address. I don't know how that magically happens, but
somehow it just did. But so are we still alive here? Bush?
How's it looking? Because okay, all right, I'm ruining against you.

(06:16):
Why would you do that? Just kidding? Just we like Ryant?
I mean, this isn't like bow where you don't like
bo I mean, but literally, it's like a two point difference,
maybe a three point difference. And what a touchdown tie it?
Or would that put you probably in a tough spot.
If Aaron Jones scores a touchdown, it's over for me.
So let Patrick Taylor get some work here. It's fine,

(06:37):
you know what, there's two minutes left in the game.
You're playoffs. Get some rest. Let let Aaron Jones get
healthy for next week against the Dolphin. That's what matters here, right,
Oh it's oh it's not against my dolphins. Please don't
do that game next week. I'm very worried about that too. Well,
let's let's take a look here. It's already in Plank
sitting in for Jason and Mike on Fox Sports Radio.

(06:59):
Let's take a look at the playoff picture. Because I'm
gonna give you the dreaded most disgusting take in all
of sports. Are you ready? With three weeks to go?
If the season ended today, Here's what the playoffs would
look like. Based on the tie break in the a
f C. The Bills would be the one seed and

(07:20):
your first round matchups would be. So the one seed
gets to buy Chiefs Dolphins in Kansas City Bengals Chargers,
which should have been the first round game last year, right,
but the Chargers ended up losing to the Raiders and
then the Titans and the Ravens who are kind of
holding on for dear life down the stretch. That game

(07:41):
would be in Tennessee now day, and we got a lot,
we got three games to go. That'd be pretty good
first round of the playoffs, right, you get your you
get your opportunity to square off against the Chiefs would
be Tyreek Kill versus Kansas City. A lot of storylines
and that would that be fun. If I'm gonna go
ahead and have a tough first round, mat U might
as well go up against the big boys, bring on

(08:02):
Kansas City. Um. It would obviously get a lot of
talk at Tyreek Hill going against his old Chiefs, So
um yeah, I'd love to see it. I'd want to
see what too it could be able to do against
that Kansas City defense. I think it'd be a pretty
good game. I think it'd be close to what we
saw with Miami and Buffalo on Saturday, so I think
it'd be sitting similar to that, even with the status
of Jalen Hurts very much up in the air. Here

(08:23):
is the if the season ended today conversation. In the NFC.
The Eagles are two games clear of the Vikings for
the one seed. Vikings or eleven and three. Eagles are
thirteen and one. So we'll get Philly that by Minnesota
and Washington in the first round. Vikings Commanders. How about
the Giants and the Niners in the first round, and

(08:44):
then Arnie, you would get Tom Brady and the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers against the San Francisco forty Niners in the
first round of the playoffs. You remember what yesterday? I'm like,
come on, Chris, what's wrong with you? Dallas? It was
no big deal that they lost. They're gonna be in
the numb of five seed anyway. Now with Jalen Hurts
getting going down, could you imagine maybe Dallas could have

(09:07):
caught Philadelphia. Had they won that game against Jacksonville, they
would have been eleven and three, two games behind and
one game up for Philadelphia. So what hurts going down?
I mean anything, It's possible at that point. Yeah, and
if if you're Minnesota, you've got to feel like you
have a little bit of an opportunity here. But here
is the Vikings remaining schedule. They've got the Giants, then

(09:30):
they go to Green Bay and they wrap things up
against Chicago. So the Vikings Seattle against Denver, then to Chicago. Meanwhile,
what's remaining for Philadelphia now? And again, we won't be
having the Jalen Hurts conversation pretty much the rest of
the night. Philly's got Dallas this weekend in Dallas, and

(09:53):
then Arnie New Orleans and New York. So the Saints
have been an unmitigated disaster though they gotta win last week,
and everyone's still alive in that NFC North somehow are
part of the NFC South somehow, and then you've got
the Giants where you know, but as the things have
gone for the Giants this year, Arnie that that could

(10:14):
be for a playoff spot for the New York Giants
right now in that final week. So, by by no
means do I think the Eagles are in danger of
losing that top spot even with Gardner Minshew. But the
Vikings they've got a They've got a fairly formidable path
in front of them as well too, with a Giants
team fighting for playoffs survival, a Green Bay team that

(10:35):
you know we've seen is is game. They're formidable tonight,
and then of course, uh, we'll see what Chicago has
left by that week eight teen of the season. So,
by no means, am I am I popping champagne corks
for the one seed? But I'm feeling really, really good
right now if I am the Philadelphia Remember, I'm the
first person in the entire planet to already call the upset.
You understand that, No, I already did. I called it

(10:58):
on this show. You don't remember, Yeah, the Vikings are
gonna lose whoever they play against. Can you imagine could
you imagine if the Packers squeezed on in and it
was the Packers in Minnesota in the first round? Could
you imagine if if that was gonna be the first
round matchup? Now, I don't think they have much worried
about with Washington, though, they're good defensively Seattle, though, I
would like to see the Lions. I think the Lions

(11:19):
in Minnesota. I'm pulling for the Lions. I'm jumping on
that bandwagon. You know this is this is wild by
the way, there's uh, we're we're wrapping up the Eagles
or take sorry, the Packers are the green got me?
The Packers are taking a knee and Jones got tackled
on like the one you one yard line went down
on the one yard line? So did you survive? Did

(11:42):
you win? Assuming that they just knee it out here, yes,
I will they took a knee, Yes, handed off if
like there's this deep and again Sean McVeigh and Matt
Lafleur there boys right there. They coach with each other.
So I would just love it if it was some

(12:02):
deep rooted disdain, right and it's like, oh gosh, what's
a good coaching rival. We haven't had it? Is there Sam,
Sam White, Jerry Clanville that we've missed out recently in
the NFL? Back there? I know, I that's for some reason,
that's the first one that came to my mind. Coe
College has more right, Oh yeah, yeah, like a Jim Hardbaugh,
Pete Carroll. Hell, that's going back? Now? What am I

(12:23):
doing right now? Lincoln Riley versus anything? Oklahoma? But yeah,
so it would have been great if there was like
some sort of beef and and they kneeled down twice,
then all the sun at the last second, Army they stepped,
They steps back and throws a little corner lab to
Christian Watson. Be fantastic, even though in fairness, Aaron Rodgers

(12:44):
should have a touchdown to Christian Watson if Watson was
paying attention when every he called an audible but Burns, congratulations, dude,
thank you everything one right for me? This is wonderful.
Do you are you playing for money or what? Yeah? Yeah,
I mean, come on, we can't say can we say that? Okay?
I don't know. You can't gamble anymore? When did that happen?

(13:05):
I don't know, man, I'm I don't I worry about
Burr Singer's eligibility. I don't know what's going on here
as far as college games are concerned. All right, twelve
is the final. We'll pick up a recap coming up
in just a bit. But let me put one final
caveat Arnie on these playoff rankings in the conversation that
we've had, Um, how poor do you think that one

(13:25):
seed is? Remember last year the one seeds kind of
had a bit of a stumble. He had Tennessee that
got knocked off, right, I mean, do you do you
really see that first round by as as massive of
an advantage? Maybe we think it is completely unfair, completely unfair.
I mean either once he made the playoffs, made the

(13:46):
super Bowl last year, and you know that that's fine
and dandy, But let me tell you something, it was
better when you had at least two teams. That way,
one team wasn't granted the you know, the extra rest.
This is I mean, I think Buffalo getting it is
apps were tremendous to them. Um, it's gonna be big
for Philadelphia, especially with the rest they can get for
for Jalen Hurts. UM. Not even to play that first

(14:07):
round game, even if it's at home, UM is tremendous.
By the way, I think eventually we'll have to go
to eight teams and just go one through A two seven, three, four, five, UM,
and forget about the bye week. I think it's just
so much of an unfair advantage. Why even do that?
Why not just get the extra team in and go
with eight and eight. Do you have any problem then
with half of the league making the playoffs? No, not

(14:29):
at all. We have to the NBA the NHL, and
we love uh plan. We like that baseballs expanded the
playoffs also, do we not sure? I mean I do
baseball pierist seem to complain about it. Quiet they'll complain it,
but oh, it's not you know, it's not like the
old day as well. We didn't have d H all
the time. And you know, we've changed around the divisions

(14:50):
and and the teams have gone from the National League
to the American League and and stuff like that. There's
there's nothing pure anymore about that. Well, it's aren't in
Plank sitting in for Jason and Mike. It's a final
in Monday night football. When we come back, we'll get
you all the stats that you need. And the Packers
twelve win over the Los Angeles Rams and Bursch moves on.

(15:10):
Uh it moves on or wins the Fantasy Championship moves
on to literally Aaron Jones falling down on the one
yard line. I want a live look at the dude
that you beat in his living room. Whenever he's watching
the potential win there just slip right out of his hands.
But it's a good night. It's a good night to
be a Packer fan. Be sure to catch live editions

(15:32):
of The Jason Smith Show with Mike harmon weekdays at
ten pm Eastern seven pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
and the I Heart Radio app. Jason lock and forward
joins us foremost insider in the National Football League. He
knows his music, he knows his NFL. What are you
taking tonight? I mean, obviously this is the massive matchup

(15:53):
we all expected between the players and the Packers. Jason,
but uh ugly right, I mean, he's the only way
we can put it. This hasn't this hasn't been a
thing of beauty. No, no, it hasn't. Um And I
don't know that anybody really expected to be if you've
watched these teams with any regularity. But it could get
a little frisky here in the fourth quarter. I mean,
we'll see what the Rams do with this drive. Um.

(16:16):
I liked the over I liked the Rams to be
able to keep this within seven and a half. And
you know, the odds might be against the ladder of
those two things. Um, but I I don't know, man,
Like I feel like McVeigh, like they're out there in

(16:37):
Green Bay. It hasn't been the season that anybody expected
it to be. Nobody thought Baker Mayfield would be their
starting corp a week before Christmas, right, Like, who the
hell saw that coming? Uh? If they do get a
touchdown here, it wouldn't shock me if he went for
a two point conversion. If they if they kind of
you know, got a little balls in the fourth quarter,

(16:59):
so we'll see. Yeah, you know, Jameson, I thought this
game could have been historic. And in the terms of
if green Bay loses, they're pretty much then completely out
of the playoffs, are like a point two percent or
something like that. They've ben j Aaron Rodgers and they're
probably yeah, that's probably the last time you ever see
Aaron Rodgers take a stop for the Green Bay Packers. Well,
except he'd have to give back like fifty five million

(17:20):
dollars to require next year, and he ain't doing that,
so don't let them pay him fifty whatever fifty five
next year. And if he backs up during love, he
backs up during love. But the bottom line is the
Green Bay Packers are going nowhere. They're They're in the ABYSS.
They're in the worst place you want to be in

(17:41):
the NFL, which is right in the middle. Because when
you're in the middle, man, you're not drafting high enough.
You're not getting the subsidy that you know, the League
of Parody provides you. And they need all those draft picks.
They got. The picks they got for DeVante they've already
used and that still has led them to be a

(18:02):
team that's completely out of it. You know, by the
start of December. UM they need to play Jordan's Love.
They need to figure out what Jordan's Love is. And
they've got a fifth year option. They need to pick
up on Jordan's Love. And even if they are stuck
with Rogers next year, which they are, they can't trade
him and he ain't retiring, they need to showcase Jordan's love,

(18:25):
to try to get picks for Jordan's Love, to try
to build around Aaron Rodgers while they still have to
pay Aaron Rodgers north of fifty million dollars a year
to be their quarterbacks. So I don't envy the situation
they're in, but I also have zero forgiveness for them
ending up in the situation that they're in because they

(18:46):
have acquiesced to Aaron Rodgers for two straight off seasons
and they've lost Davante Adams in the process. I know
we've got a big injury to talk about with Jalen Hurdson. Listen, Jason,
I'm a Baker Homer. I live in Oklahoma. I'm just
outside of campus here, But aren't already hit this earlier?
I tend to agree with him. It's not as if

(19:08):
he's gonna go out there and throw for three yards,
but he just got he's got a little different look
to him, right, I mean, it's it's it's a little
different swag. I'm not saying he's gonna start for the
Rams next year, but he just looks different. Well, look,
he was a one one and he's never gonna live
up to that and he's never gonna be that good.
And you know, the bottom line is John Dorsey overdrafted him.

(19:34):
But can he play in this league for a long time?
Can he provide a little bit of verve and a
little bit of moxie and you know, in the right
locker room, could could he be the guy for some
period of time? I think so. I tend to think
hole bounce around a little bit. I tend to think
he's already a bit of a football vagabond, and I

(19:57):
think that's kind of gonna be his thing. But like,
could there be a year, like some year for him
he's only twenty seven, like maybe his year thirty season,
his year thirty one season where he ends up in
the right place at the right time, right and he
was like a Nick Foles thing. He was brought in
to be the backup, but the starter gets hurt in

(20:19):
week twelve or week thirteen, and it's a it's a
great situation, Like it's a master play caller, it's a
quarterback since a guru type who's the head coach, and
they have a bleep load of offensive talent, and like
he messes around and wins the Super Bowl, like Folds
won the Super Bowl. Like, I don't think that's out
of the question. He's going to be in the league

(20:39):
for a long time and a certain sort of pedigreed
offensive coordinator will be drawn to him. Um, and I
do think he will probably have a moment where he
does something that we didn't think was possible. Yeah, no doubt.
We gotta ask you about the ending of the Las Vegas,
New England game. I mean, I feel like I gotta

(21:02):
call of Joe Pisarchik to say, you're off the hook.
Now we've probably got to play. That's that's crazy. Yeah,
it is. It is. Um, I'd love to be able
to blame Patricia for this, and and actually I still
kind of do. Like I I know he didn't draw
it up that way, but like him standing there with
the pencil behind his ear, you know, calling up plays

(21:24):
to nowhere, it's it's pretty pathetic. Uh, but no, this
is on Jacobe Meyers. I mean, I I don't know
what he was thinking. I don't think he knows what
he was thinking. Um, it's it's baffling. It's baffling all
the way around. Like that's something you do when you're
down by six or seven or eight points. It's not

(21:48):
even in the realm of conversation when you're tied and
you've been the better team for most of the second
half and a man, I don't know, but there's you know,
Belichick's got to own it, and Patricia has got to

(22:09):
own it, and Jacobe Meyers has got to own it,
and it might be enough to keep them out of
the playoffs. I mean, I'm not really buying the Jets
right now either, but one of those two teams is
probably gonna make it, or you know, maybe the Chargers
keep them both out. I don't know how the the

(22:31):
MAT's gonna work out in the a f C. But
that's tragic that that's a football tragedy. Like you gotta
be better than that. Hey, Jason, what do we know
about the severity of the Jalen Hurts injury? How concerned
are you for him right now? Yeah? I mean they're
they're going to have a decision to make here because
there are three games up over the Cowboys, and they're

(22:52):
playing the long game, and they're in goodstead to get
to buy you know, no matter what happens in this
game for the most part, So it wouldn't And and dude,
you could do a hell of a lot worse than
Gardner Minshew as your quarterback, like hell, has your backup
a hell of a lot worse. So it would not

(23:14):
shock me if they aired on the conservative side and said, look,
we've we've we've had this former starter with us for
the last two years and we have you know, Davante
Smith and a j and they're getting got her back

(23:34):
and they have uh Sanders and Minshew is also like
pretty spry, like is he Jalen hurts Hell no, but
it could. Can he run a little bit of read
option and and pull it out of the mess point
and keep it himself and and gain you know, ten
fifteen yards? He can, So it would not surprise me

(23:55):
in the least of Gardner Minshew played this game, and
you know what, I don't think the Eagles win. Hey,
let's let a quick thought on America's team. How about
them Lions. Look what they're doing. I love it. I
love it, um no, I love them on the money
line this week, Uh, they're playing the Panthers. It's only

(24:16):
two and a half. They've won three straight on the road.
They now win games outside of the dome situation. The
defense went from giving up thirty points a game and
the first eight nine weeks of the season to twenty since. Um,
they're super stout against the run. And that's all the
Panthers can do is run the ball like I mean,
nobody's afraid of Sam Donald. I think they win this

(24:39):
game going away. Uh. Look, the Lions to me, at worst,
the fourth best team in the NFC and maybe the third,
Like if the Lions played the forty nine on a
neutral site game, Brock Purdy, I think the Lions could
beat them, and I think the Jacks are the same way,

(25:00):
Like the Jags may win that division, they may not.
They could still maybe get in as a wall card,
but like if the Jags get in the way, Trevor
Lawrence is playing the last six weeks, Trevor Lawrence has
the best passer rating in the NFL. And Christian Kirk
is a top ten receiver this season in terms of yardage,

(25:21):
and Evan Ingram is the top six tight end this
season in terms of yardage, and say Jones the last
six weeks is the top six receiver himself. Like they've
got something going on. And those two teams I think
are are a little bit frisky. And if they get in,
and I think at least one of them will get
in and maybe both, they're gonna be a bit of

(25:43):
a handful. The man, Jason, I know you're busy. We
appreciate the time, appreciate it. Have a great night, Jason
locking for I literally could sit here and talk to
that dude all that. I love, love the break news
beat would never be able to do it, could never
live it, but I love. Be sure to catch live

you listen to it. I think you like it. Listen
to All Ball with Doug Gottlieb on the I Heart
Radio app, Apple Podcast, or ever you get your podcast.
Everything is a final well, I mean everything that kind
of matters right now. It's already in plank and for
Jason and Mike Pump to be here from the tire

(26:49):
rack dot Com Studios. Tire rack dot Com, they got
you covered. Uh we'll get up. You get there, an
unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road hats and protection
and over ten thou recommended installers tire ac dot com
the way tire buying should be. So this is the hour,

(27:09):
is the bonus hour, This is the Power Hour, the
next hours the Bonus Hour. By the way, I just
kind of an off topic since we're getting started back
again and we're back from halftime. I asked you I
came up with an idea. Was over the weekend? Um? No,
this was probably like on Friday. I came up with
an idea and it just just sprung right in my
head and and it was so good. I called up

(27:32):
from who does the weekends here in Fox uh, and
it does TV writing and stuff like that, and I
threw it because it's an idea for a TV sitcom
type thing. And I told him about my idea in
sixty seconds and he just went, yes, absolutely, that's fantastic.
And then I told somebody else about it, just another person,

(27:53):
and they're like, yes, you gotta get it done. So
we're gonna work on this project hopefully with from uh
starting out to the holidays and Uh, I can't wait, man,
I hopefully make some dough on this. I'll sell it.
I'll sell the Fox. How about that? What's Are you
gonna tell us anything about it? Or you tell that's it? That?
Is it? Money at stake here? That's it? Well? I mean,

(28:14):
tis this radio gold or what is just basically Arnie saying,
guess what, I've got a great idea. Bleep all you people,
what are we supposed to do with this? Well? I did.
I can't tell you what. It's sports related, but that's
all I can tell you. It's gonna be funny. You
know me, it's gonna I guess. I never knew that

(28:34):
em was like a writer. I knew he was on
The Amazing Race. Oh, he was also on UM We
All a Fortune and currently still on The Fresh Prince. Yeah,
he writes for that too, So Arnie might want to
know that if you're trying to work with the guy,
right exactly. Yeah, So well that's why I went to him.

(28:55):
That's why I went to him. I know he writes
stuff like that, Arnie. I just want to kind of
ranked down the fourth wall here. So I do um
a local show here in in beautiful scenic Norman, Oklahoma,
and Arnie will I mean literally text me every single
uh time period asking if I'm on the air tie

(29:17):
shirt when my local show is on. I've only I've
only done it for like six years now, and we've
been on the air together for a decade. But you're
like my, my Mom's like that too. I never know
when you're on you're always on the Well, yeah, that's right.
He's become that. He's like family. But so and and
you're I gotta say, you know, Arnie's excited when he's like, hey,

(29:41):
I'm gonna call you, and we never ended up connecting
on the call. I was gonna tell you the idea, okay,
but um, well, now that I didn't, I'm just gonna
keep it to myself and we'll see. I don't think
it's gonna take very long to come to fruition. I
think I think Efan could write something out pretty well,
so pretty quickly. So so, wait, you're giving this idea
and just all writing credit I from did you get

(30:03):
some sort of contract signed or what? We may have
to But I'm going to give him some of the
funny stuff, some of the one and stuff like that.
You know, Colin Coward has already tried to do a
pilot on being a sports radio host and on his career, right,
did he really? Yeah? Because I gotta tell you there's
there's been shows like that now that are good. Paul Feinbom,

(30:24):
how is gonna have a show him? Gosh? Is it
gonna be terrible. And I told you there's a friend
of mine that's shopping around a show about me and
her um when we used to do early local radio.
I told you about that. Yeah, nothing more than I
want to watch with a show about two freaking f
M d j's talking about? Is it faker? For real?
What are we doing? Come on so good? So I

(30:50):
just your idea is not down that lane, is what
you're telling you? No, it's not not at all it is.
Let me tell you something. It is actually pretty funny
and pretty simple. And as soon as it comes out,
why didn't I do that? Because you're not as smart
as I am. That's why. Let me guess Nie to
show about nothing. I told you it's not a show

(31:10):
about nothing. Oh my gosh, Why am I blanket on
the stoner flick where they had the idea and Mr
Skin and come to find out they get all the
way to the end. It's like the website already exists.
Is that Pineapple Express? Is it? Is it? Someone helped
me out at that Plank show at Stinking Genius one.
But I hope this doesn't get like all the way

(31:32):
to the end. And then e from finds out oh yeah,
this is okay. Has not been done, has not been done,
not even not even close. It's an original idea by
Arnie Spanier, and nobody else is going to claim to
it will just be from and I writing this thing out.
Two more questions from comes to many as you want

(31:54):
to know as many as you right, Um, is this
a movie or a TV show? Type? Could be a movie,
It could be a TV show, It could be a skid.
It could be something that could air on on Fox Sports,
that can air on Saturday Night Live. It could be
many many things. Very very interchangeable, very interchangeable. You know,
sometimes you can try to be a little bit of
too much to do you worry about that. I mean,

(32:17):
it sounds like this has a lot of different ankle
if it could be on Fox or a e O
or Fox Sports or whatever. That that's that's encompassing a lot. Yeah,
that's that's the expectations I have for something like this.
That that's how good this is. But just to reiterate,
you just gave this idea, just gave it. It just
hit me over the weekend. I never even came close

(32:38):
to an idea like this, And I was sitting around
eating apple Pie ala mode and um, I'm like, hey, this,
who does it eat? Apple pie? Alamode? And I'm saying,
wait a minute, how But if I do something like this,
you know what's so funny? I didn't even tell my
wife because I know you would spill the beans. Um,
so I'm telling you it's gonna be a fit nomin

(33:00):
no idea. I wish I could tell everybody, but as
soon as I opened up my mouth, there'll be a
million people still in the idea. I think that's how
Einstein got his ideas too over apple pie. That's true. Um,
com Einstein. That's no. Oh, I'm sorry, thank you, Andrew
Nelson correcting me. Knocked Up is the movie? It is?

(33:22):
It Seth Rogan flip. Thank you very much, Andrew, even
though I had to be an Armies mentioned and not
my own dude. Um, but yeah, I uh, I guess
the only other thing is do we have to worry
uh this U this verse and tie shirt and and
and Kevin? Do we have to worry about like you
just going Hollywood and not doing this show when we

(33:44):
know I will tell you this. I don't think I
could put myself in this. Okay, so this is not
be more of a creative out you want to succeed
just well, I'm not a I'm okay. You want to
hire real actors, and I just don't think i'd probably
fit in good in what I want to do. So

(34:06):
who's to say there's even a sportscaster in this thing? Yeah, yeah,
there's I'll tell you now, there's no sportscaster in this thing. Okay,
well done. I have other ideas other than just you know,
sportscasting stuff. I understand you got right. You got some time,
so you're chilling, and it's the holiday season, your mind
is constantly moving, so congratulate the first time. First time

(34:29):
I've had an idea like this too. I mean, it's
it's solid gold guaranteed that this will be big one.
That's listen. I I've I like you from a lot.
I haven't met him in person. I've worked with him
a couple of times. I like the low key nature.
But that's a lot of faith just to give a
guy that idea and be like, okay, good luck with it.
It's not even the writing writing, and I've never met

(34:51):
he from in person either. But it's not even just
the writing. It's the premise it's the idea that makes it.
I can't miss That's that's what it is. A story.
I'm an idea guy. You know that, and he you
know spoon feed the tune of Mayonnaise. You don't know
what that movie is from, do you? Oh? I'm sorry,
I'm missing up night Shift with Henry Winkler. What's wrong
with you? It was like forty years ago. It was

(35:13):
one of the best movies I ever Come on now,
I'm spoon feed the tune of Mayonnaise. Come on now.
Going back to Batman in night Shift would definitely be
out of my power Alley, but I do appreciate, and
it's a very good movie. Yeah, I'm intriguing now. I
want to know what this is about. But in the

(35:34):
same thing, I kind of don't. I want to be
surprised like the rest of us. Take me a long time. Yeah,
I hope it doesn't take me a long time to
develop it, um, because I think we could get it
done pretty quickly. That's that's how uh fool proof this
idea is. Okay, Well, congratulations, I'm I'm happy for you,
thank you, thank you. I mean I'm excited for for

(35:54):
whatever the future might hold. Is there anything more you
would like to add before I try to quickly back
to the NFL. I'm glad I used from me. I
know a lot of people who write for movies and
TV and stuff like that, so I could have used
a lot of different people, but no, from was my first.
So basically what you're saying is from should should feel special?
That absolutely absolutely, it's arende in Plank sitting in for

(36:19):
Jason and Mike for now because Arnie could be going
Hollywood with us right here on Fox Sports Radio. Um,
Arnie Jalen Hurts is hurt. We don't know how long
he's gonna be out. Um, it's been I think the
best way to put it, kind of awkward with the
way this has been reported today. And I don't mean
that necessarily in a bad way. It's just we went

(36:40):
from uh, a local reporter saying he's got a broken
collar bone to what a sprain showed. He should be
held for coming up with that bogus injury with the
collar bone. Somebody's got to take him to task or
something like that. Yeah, they gain more followers, nobody gets
mad about. That's what I used to get so triggered by.
But I'm thinking about making up an injury. I might

(37:00):
steal your idea and throw it on Twitter to get
a few Oh my gosh, but Pete Traeger, you found
this earlier. Aren't the idea guy. Tonight, boys, he's the
idea and one of the big kind of storylines in
this Jalen Hurts injury doesn't really have too terribly much
to do with where the Eagles are in the playoffs.
I think they're still very safe in the one seed

(37:22):
right now, and very safe in the in the NFC East.
But the m v P conversation has been wild. So
this week Jalen Hurts was minus one seventy five, and
I keep refreshing this and I keep kind of looking
at it. This week he was minus one seventy five

(37:43):
currently plus five now, and I want to make this
very clear. This is just on the report of maybe
potentially missing one game, so we don't know how severe
it is. This is on one game. Patrick Mahomes meanwhile,
has seen his odds shift from plus two hundred yesterday

(38:05):
to minus two seventy five. The best odds at bet
MGM Points Bet has Joe Burrow now at plus seven hundred,
with Josh Allen right there at plus six hundred. It
begs the question, and I'd love to hear from you
guys on this tonight at Stinking Genius One. I'm at
playing show. Everybody should follow us at Fox Sports Radio.

(38:28):
Do you have to play the sixteen seventeen now game season?
I mean, has he not done enough through fourteen games?
And again he still may play the final two games
if especially if the Eagles lose on Sunday to the
Cowboys are Saturday to the Cowboys. I mean, I don't know.
Should this injury affect his m v P status or

(38:49):
at least his m v P odds this much? Well,
first of all, shouldn't be this much. But then there's
a couple of questions here. First of all, what happens
if Philadelphia loses? Doesn't his m v P status go
up showing you, hey, look at this guy. I mean,
they can't win unless they've got him in the lineup.
Are we going strictly by numbers? Is it like? Well,

(39:11):
Mahomes as uh forty two touchdowns and the Hurts only
has thirty five because he missed a couple of games,
So we have to give it to Mahomes. What happens.
If Minshew plays well, it looks like a like all
pro quarterback out there? Does that takeaway um from Jalen
Hurts because we go, look, even this guy could play
quarterback on such a great team out there. Um, I

(39:33):
don't think you have to play all seventeen games, and
I don't think missing one game should penalize you as
much as it's going to penalize Jalen Hurts, Like, I
think that's wrong. Even the odds in Vegas, that's crazy,
that that's unbelievable that one game. And who knows if
Mahomes doesn't sit out a game. And let me ask
you a question, are we punishing Jalen Hurts for being

(39:56):
no pun intended hurt? Because if this was the seventeenth
game and we said that, uh phildelf, you're already clinched
something and everybody's taking the week off, we wouldn't penalize them, then,
would we. We'll say, oh, you're sit down, we'd say,
no big deal. And I don't think we'd penalize them.
So why if he misses a game disease hurt, will
we penalize them? But if he misses a game for

(40:17):
load management or they clinched something, then we don't penalize them.
Aren'tie this spread We just talked about it on the
m v P side of things, right, And that's a
very important part of this, just because we love these
types of conversations. But get just the overall number. If
you ever doubt the importance of what a guy like
Jalen Hurts has been to the Eagles this year, and

(40:37):
you and I kind of thought about this last night
because I guess you had hurt some people that were
questioning the Eagles. I haven't heard those people, so I
guess I'm falling into my own trap here. But if
you do question, if you're Um, Micah Parsons or the
one person out there that's questioned Jalen Hurts, this line
open with the Cowboys has a one point favorite on
the news of Jalen Hurts potentially being out in six

(41:02):
it's a five point and it's and that's a big
and that's with the magic number of six. If it
ever hits seven, then a lot of money, UM must
have come in because that that's that tricky number to
go from five and a half the six and stuff
and then the six and a half and then that
magic number of seven. My goodness, money must have been
going crazy. Um mon, Dallas, that's insane. Yeah, so it's

(41:25):
the question of the night. I'm with you on this.
I'd be very challenged because there's a lot of arms.
I say that a lot. There's a lot of tentacles
through this conversation. One of the homes goes out is terrible?
Next week? Right? What if are and when I say
next week this coming weekend, I guess now on a
Monday with week fifteen in the back uh in the

(41:45):
in the rearview? What does it look like next week?
If if TWA goes crazy? Does he suddenly jump up?
But Joe Burrow lazy? Like I mean, there's so many
other circumstances. It's hard to just say, oh yeah, he's
out of it because what if Mahomes ruggles. I mean,
he wasn't great against the Texans, right, I mean it's
wild to think this would this would affected this much?

(42:07):
And why punished Jalen Hurts for being out on an
injury compared to just sitting out for like I said,
old management. That's that's really I I don't understand that
effect because if he sits top as they clenched something,
he doesn't get punished at all. A matter of fact,
I don't even think the odds change like they do,
forget like they do now. They don't change at all
if he sits out a game for LOLd management. So

(42:29):
I'm not sure why that happened. Be sure to catch
live editions of The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon
weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific on Fox
Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app. Final Hour
for us as we come to you Alive from the
ti iraq dot com studios. He's the stinking genius, Arnie Spanier.

(42:49):
I'm Chris Plank Bonus hour right bonus hour with a
lot of tweets out there for the ti rack dot
com studios. Ti rack dot com will help you get there,
and I'm selection fast, free shipping, free road hazard protection
and over ten thousand recommended installers tire rack dot com
the way tire buying should be. Uh, your choice, Your choice,

(43:11):
Arnie Spanier? Do you wanna add some tweets? Do you
want to dive into what we learned in week fifteen?
Your call doesn't? Can we do both? Or? No? No
one first segment, No you know me, I just gotta
follow all the radio rules. I follow. Uh, Andrew ty
Shirt's lead is what I do. We could do after

(43:33):
week fifteen. I know this was a lot going on
right now. All right, let's do that really good to
tweets back and forth. Chief fan was mad that I
didn't give the proper respect to Patrick Mahomes for careering
against a one win football team, So open apologies, chiefs Fan.
I'm just so happy that you were able to pull
something off in checks over time against a one win

(43:57):
football team. Uh. And and some interesting debates about Jalen
Hurts and his m v P chances and should they
be hurt should they be deemed? You know you saw
the line moving. It's funny because you had brought this
up earlier. And the Jalen hurt story, of course, involves
a shoulder injury that I mean, do we really have

(44:17):
a good feel about what the extent is of the
shoulder injury? Not when somebody says it was a dislocated
shoulders So there are collar boner or something that now
we got just that it's just uh, you know, soreness
or just hurt. I know, I don't know what it's
gonna be I wouldn't be surprised if he missed the
rest of the regular season. Yeah, it's um, it's not
good for those m v P chances, but it's wild

(44:39):
to see how quickly they flipped because I think Mahomes
has pretty much been the favorite for the m v
P and a lot of people's eyes. But um, I
want to make sure I get these numbers correct here
so I don't screw them up. Earlier today, Jalen Hurts
was minus one thirty. Yes, Patch Mahomes was plus one twenty.

(45:02):
The third choice, Josh Allen was plus a thousand, with
by the way, Darryl's guy Joe Burrow at plus one
thousand to shabby. As soon as we found out about
the injury to Justin for to Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes
immediately went to minus one thirty, Jalen Hurts too plus
one ten, and Josh Allen stayed a plus a thousand.

(45:23):
That's pretty Again, I don't care about MVP awards, but
that would seem to signal that this is going to be,
in the eyes of oddsmakers more of more than just
a one game deal, right right, I mean, if if,
if Mahomes was the one that was gonna miss a
game or two. Do you think he would have been
punished so much that the odds would have taken off
in one direction? I don't think so. I think people's

(45:45):
eye he's missing a gamer, dude, no big deal. We
know what he can do. Probably, So you know what,
I think unfairly too is held against Mahomes. And I
think this happens a lot with the NFL MVP Award.
I think when you win it, I think they're like, oh, yeah,
you know, he's already won. I know, but I feel
like we do it a lot in the NFL too,
And this is with a back to back winner in

(46:07):
Aaron Rodgers. But you know, you think about it with
you know, Patrick Mahomes arguably should have won four straight
MVP Awards. I mean, if we're just being honest, right,
he's been the best player in the league and should
be going for his fifth. But the Lamar Jackson year,
Lamar was really good, and it's like, oh, well, you know,
give it to Lamar. Aaron Rodgers has been pretty good
the last two years, but no one ever really wanted

(46:29):
to give it to Brady and back to back years Um,
I mean Aaron Rodgers had won in the fourteen, probably
could have wanted in fifteen too. So I think sometimes
we get weird as voters even though we're coming off
and I say we you guys, even though you're coming
off back to back winners. I think some which is
wife Aaron Rodgers was anywhere close? Aren't you knew he
wasn't gonna win this year? But how do you think

(46:50):
sometimes they're weird about past winners. But you know, the
last time the homes one was eighteen, so maybe he
is due or maybe this injury has just a Jalen
Hurts back in week sixteen or week seventeen, excuse me,
and and he's good to go regardless, it would lead
you to believe that these numbers have you a little
bit more than just hey, he's gonna miss Sunday against

(47:11):
the Cowboys, right, You would think that they know something
that we don't know, and that it could be too
or the rest of the regular season. I don't want
to read too much into it, but it's not any
big turnaround, it is for sure, all right. Um, So
I wrote a few down. We we have this bit.
We do it every single Sunday, night here on Fox
Sports Radio kick off for Final Hour, and it it

(47:31):
surveys surveys, excuse me, it carries over to all sports
and it is where we dive into the week that
was and we tell you what we've learned and what
we know. So, Um, after week fifteen, Arnie, I know this.
Where do you want to start? After week fifteen? I
know this. I'll start with something simple. Um, San Francisco.

(47:53):
No matter who the quarterback is, Jimmy g or uh
you know, Brian Purdy, they're kicking ass. This is a
team that I wasn't out of high on it at
the beginning of the year. To be honest with you,
I thought they were gonna make the playoffs, but I
thought they'd be probably one and and done. They have
one of the best defenses I've seen in a long time.
They are just getting ad people out there. They may

(48:14):
find themselves in the super Bowl, that's how good they are.
No matter who the quarterback is, because they're winning. Their
defense is just too strong out there. After fifteen weeks,
they've got the best defense by far in the NFL.
I know that. Chris Um I I can't argue with
you too terribly much on that I would like to.
I would like to. All right, um, I've got one
for you. After Week fifteen. I know this, the absolute

(48:37):
freak out is on right now in Baltimore. And I
kind of didn't expect this because I mean, listen, I
hang out with you and I have for a decade,
and you told me how incredible Ti Huntley is and
how he was the guy that should probably be taking
over for Lamar Jackson. But I mean, now, John on

(49:00):
hardballs having to come out, and they've got questions about
whether or not staff changes should be made, And I
mean this is this is a nine and five football
team that's been without their starting quarterback, that's only two
and two in their last four games, and literally your
coaches getting peppered about staff changes. Um, someone had to

(49:22):
make shift handwritten flyers that read fire Greg Roman outside
of the team's interest entrance, He's there out Offensive coordinator
uh Baltimore outside linebacker Tias Bauer posted a video of
the pieces of notebook paper on Instagram with the caption quote,
well all right then, um so, I mean listen, you're

(49:47):
still kind of well, what are we doing? Baltimore fans?
You're still in position to make the playoffs. You're starting
quarterback is out? What are you? What are we? By
the way, how is it gonna end up for Lamar
Jackson for next year? Are they going to give him
the three and thirty million dollar contract? Are they going
to go in franchise tag him? Is he going to
go ahead and hold out if they franchise tag him.

(50:08):
Are they gonna just say, fine, go go to another team.
How's it gonna play out for him? I think they're
gonna try to move them, really I do. I think
they're gonna try to move them. Is that crazy? I
would think they would give him the franchise tag, but
I wouldn't put it past I think that'd be the
second option. Third option is not giving him that that money.
I don't think they want to give it to him, Chris,

(50:29):
I think they would have if they will. I think
that this is going to be another fascinating offseason with
quarterbacks because I think you're gonna have veterans like Brady
potentially car Garoppolo that are gonna be out there that
will draw some interest. I think you're gonna have younger
guys like Jordan's love. I loved going back to our

(50:50):
first Hour with Jason Lack and Forrest said about Jordan's love,
the Packers can't do anything with Aaron Rodgers Arny, So
do they try to go out and coop a little
bit whenever it comes to say Jordan's love, to help
him build up a little bit of their draft capital
with someone be willing to give up a couple of seconds,
maybe a first for Jordan's love. I mean not if

(51:11):
you're not showcasing him right, so that would be And
then then of course you might have the you might
have the big Haymaker, you might have Lamar Jackson out there,
and I think I think that you might be wanting
to pay attention to that, harn'ty. In my inn, Lamar
Jackson suddenly, oh no, no, stop at two is my quarterback.
Though I would say this, I know Cousins is under contract,
But if I was Minnesota and if I didn't have

(51:32):
to take Cousins back next year, I would say, let
me think about taking Lamar Jackson. I would that would
be a good spot for him in Minnesota. If that
was a possibility, I will say, um, I love the
idea of Lamar Jackson, But much like Jalen Hurt, you
gotta build a system around him, so you know, you
can't put him in every and just every I mean,

(51:53):
you've got to create a lot of different ideas and
and and ways to take advantage of his leg, which
with a lot of quarterbacks and and a lot of
offensive coordinators haven't really done that well. So I don't know.
I think he's gonna be available this offseason. I think
it's gonna be fascinating after my turn, right after fifteen weeks.

(52:14):
I know this, and this goes out to the Bills
fans and my wife out there. You guys are not
all that badass, and you played at home with a
bad weather the snow coming down Miami. You can't do
in Miami. If it's not eighty two degrees and sunny,
they're gonna whilk away. This is gonna be a butt
kicking out there. You can't play the Bills when it's
snow and it's freezing. They got too much of a

(52:36):
home of Boulogney. Should have lost that damn game. We
had you, We had you there. You're not that badass,
my friend. You're you're not as tough as you think
you are, and you're very Beatabule Dolphins should have won
that game. Dolphins should have taken the series, uh two
games to nothing, but they fall up a little bit short.
I wish I had another chance against them. You might
get one. I'm hoping. I'm hoping you might get one. Arny, Now,

(53:00):
are you worried at all? Are you worried at all
about the Packers next week? No? No, no, none whatsoever.
No No, I'm not worried about any matter of fact,
I'm not worried about any of the three games left. Wow,
look at you. Not I'm worried about the Jets, and
I'm not worried about the Patriots, that for sure. Um well,

(53:22):
I watched Mac Jones play this weekend. I don't think
you should be worried about the Patriots. Not worried about
that at all. I feel more worried if I was
the quarterback. I've got like three more here. Let me
Oh my gosh, after I really did some prep for
this show tonight. I was ready to go after after
a week fifteen. I know this Tennessee is in big trouble,
and I know this isn't necessarily breaking news, but for

(53:46):
some reason, over the last few years, this network has
become very tightan centric, and I'm constantly being told how
great the Titans are and how incredible their coaches, UM.
And yet here they are at seven and seven, And
what I've had to accept after fighting with you about
it for so long, is the worst division in the
National Football League and they well outside of the NFC

(54:09):
South is the second worst division in the National Football League,
and they are fighting for their playoff lives with a
road game upcoming against Jacksonville, a team that beat them
by two scores at home. UM, a home game against
the Cowboys, team that will be trying to bounce back,
probably after losing back to back games if they fall
to the Eagles. And I guess, according all the chief

(54:30):
fans in my mentioned tonight, this incredible juggernaut in Houston
that is just unstoppable right now. So I I mean,
I'm starting to think Arnie more and more that this
has the look of like a seven and ten, eight
and nine football team right now that is is struggling
with an injured quarterback, has a young quarterback that's just

(54:51):
not quite there yet, and teams are able to tee
off on Derrick Henry. They've got no balance, they've got
no diversity in their offense. I honestly think they're in
big trouble. I think Jacksonville could win that division. In fact,
the Jaguars going to the final three games controlling their
own destiny to win the a f C South. Wow.
That who would have thought that that would have happened
after the start they got off to. That is just incredible.

(55:13):
They've made great strides over the last couple of years. Um,
it's just fascinating to what they were doing last year
to where they are right now. You know, yeah, well
I agree, you got anymore? Well just one more? And
after fifteen weeks, I know this. I think everybody has
jumped on the Detroit Lions bandwagon. Um. Out of all
the teams UM in the NFL, I think the Lions

(55:35):
are like the darlings of the NFL right now. Everybody
wants to see them get in because it's been so long, though.
I gotta tell you when they I saw a list
of the teams that haven't been to the playoffs the longest.
Miami's in the top five and they made it in
twenty sixteen. So I guess, uh, you know, you really
don't have to go through that long of a drought,
But yeah, I want the Lions to get it in
the worst way. I just I'm just not sure they

(55:57):
could pull it off. Almost see if Washing continues to
struggle and I I think Seattle is gonna falter too.
So I'm hoping the Lions final way. You know. Again,
some of these games, I am, um, I am a
big Red Zone guy, so I don't get to sit
and watch like every single play, so I have to
go back and read a lot. Like for instance, you
know when I'm like, hey, you know, I didn't really

(56:19):
feel like my homes had a great day, and then
you go back and look at the statue, like, holy yes,
you know that's that's a historic day that he had.
But for the most part, when you're watching it on
Red Zone, you just see it's a tight game. I
say that because I guess I didn't realize until I
kind of went back. Dan Campbell apparently still has a
lot to do, work to do in clock management and

(56:40):
and kind of he handles his time outs like I
listened to Mike Lombardi just absolutely destroy him. I was
hearing my my guy up in Detroit, Bill Simons, and
just destroy him. And it's a great story. Right, there's
seven and seven that well, because they're not properly using
time outs, they're giving other teams opportun unities, and they

(57:01):
nearly gave the Jets a chance to what when that
football game so or at least push it into overtime.
So yeah, I, um, I don't know. I'm with you,
hope that the Lions end up making the playoffs. But
I keep wondering if Dan Campbell, if there's a little
bit too much work for him to still do in
game management, you know, when it comes to the time

(57:21):
outs and stuff. I saw one one coach they were like,
I can't remember who was. They showed a close up
of him and he's on the headset going should we
call time out now? Or should we wait? You can
either should we call time out? I'm like, he's he's
asking somebody else if you should call dive out? He
shouldn't you know that before the before the play went off?
My goodness, hey, anymore any you've got a coach that

(57:41):
that's his job. You've got like a game management coach,
And um, yeah, I think I actually know which game
you were talking. I think that was in this I
think that was in the Saturday Night game, because I
think I think that was the Bills Dolphins. I think
it was McDermott. Anyway, I've got I've got two more
quick ones and then we'll move on. And I know
we're up against it, tight shirt, so I'll be quick. Um,

(58:02):
I'll save you the I'll save you the chiefs love.
I had all kinds of chiefs love on here. But
y'all off, Um, something's truly wrong in Seattle. And I
know that that doesn't come across as making a lot
of sense whenever there's seven and seven. But I just
get this sense that we're seeing Pete Carroll's last year's

(58:24):
in Seattle. Am I crazy? Last year? Last year? Right?
And I get it right, Paul Allen rest in pizza,
great things, and I get a lot of Seahawk fans
my revolt against this because this is an incredible story,
right Geno Smith from out of nowhere, traded away Russell
Wilson and now look where the Seahawks are, right, Look

(58:46):
look where the Seahawks are um bottom line more than
anything else, it's just I don't know. I feel like
maybe they're looking to make a change and they'll get
their quarterback with the top five pick and go from there. Um,
but I don't know, just something seems a little bit
off in Seattle right now. They've had a good run. Uh,

(59:09):
Thursday night was a little bit embarrassing against San Francisco
with some of the mistakes that they made. But am
I crazy in thinking that, um, that maybe this is
it for Pete Carroll? Well, his ages, I'll there's no
doubt about that, And you know, I know he wants
to continue. He certainly, you know, lives like he's young.
He's like a you know, a young what is the sixties,

(59:31):
seven sixty eight or something like that. He he comes
across that way. He's still having fun out there, but
sooner or later, father time catches up to everybody. I'm
I'm thinking that maybe not after this year. I think
he's got a couple more years left, but not more
than maybe two after this year, all right, and then
I had one more here. I think that I think

(59:51):
the Indianapolis Colts should start thinking tank city. And I
know that you're you're kind of anti tanking, and one
of my best friends is is an Indianapolis Colts fan,
But you know, what good are you going to do
with a sixth pick in the draft. Just go ahead. Um,
I think if you play this thing smart, you could

(01:00:14):
end up with maybe the second or third pick in
the draft, and then you might have your choice of
either the best defensive player in the draft or the
best linemen in the draft, but maybe the second best quarterback.
I mean, because if this Jugger not Houston gets going
in one, twelve and one, then who knows, maybe they
could drop the two or three. I just I can't

(01:00:36):
believe how poorly things have gone in Indianapolis. And I
mean that's a that's a team this season that came
into the season with some high hopes, right, got Matt Ryan,
But I don't really know what what they can accomplish
in their final few weeks. And it's crazy because they've
been in some tight games, right, they were tight with Philadelphia,
they beat the Raiders, they were they should have beaten Minnesota.

(01:00:58):
That Cowboys game. You look at the finals score and
it's insane. But Arnie, that was a tight We were
watching that on Sunday Night Football together. That was a
tight game going into the fourth quarter. Hell, they had
a lead in the third quarter and then ended up
giving up like fifty. So you got the Chargers Giants
in Houston down the stretch. I tank. I'd say, Jeff Saturday,
you're gonna be our coach next year. Play the young guys,

(01:01:19):
let's see what we got right, never never getting the
number one. They can't take that far, at least two.
Where was the win total for the coach coming into
the year, like nine or ten or something like that.
You know, No, it was right around there. Yeah. I
wonder who's had the worst year with the highest win
total coming in. I wonder who's done the worst so
far this year.
