Free road has a protection over ten thousand recommended installers
tie irac dot com the way tire buying should be. Well. Yeah,
one more hour to talk about Zach Wilson, the jet
Steve de Sager and I'm jetting off a vacation so
to speak. Yeah, you gotta get it out of your system.
You did warn us that in advance on last night's show, right,

(01:07):
that this is potentially the obituary for all of this
and you're getting it out of your system on your
final show of the calendar year. Yeah. So in the end,
I am okay with this because you've seen it coming you. Well, No,
because if because I'm on vacation, he's he is, but

(01:28):
he's not, I shouldn't say that. I should say it's
more of a win win situation because if the Jets
one tonight, great, eight and seven, they're in the thick
of the playoff hunt, it's gonna be great. Somebody's gonna lose.
The Patriots, No, it's gonna be great. But if they live,
I don't have to worry about anymore. I have to
worry about the Jets. I could just worry about other stuff.
Go on vacation. I have to sit here and think, Oh,

(01:49):
Zach Wilson's gonna play as Mike White can be healthy.
Now it's done. It's done. It's done. Just like Zack
Wilson's time with the Jets. It's done. You're not gonna
be hitting refresh middle of next week while you're off
saying Chris Traveler starter, name him the starter? Is that
going to be at the Wednesday press conference? Refresh? You know?
The thing is, just think about this for a second,

(02:10):
about trying about sticking with Zach Wilson. Why the Jets
can't do it. I'm telling you he's thrown his last
pass as a Jet. I would keep him inactive the
next top couple of weeks. Did we not hear the
coach post game? Yea, you haven't seen the last of
Zack Wilson yet. No, I think in uh, you know
the next day he's gonna sit back And what did
I say last night? That's not really happening. He should

(02:31):
be saying that now. We No, no, no, no, no, listen,
you can be tied to hip with someone until it's
time to say, well, I'm not tied at the hip
anymore with that guy. There's no way. Look you saw
the way the team responded when Mike White got the
gig right. The teammates were excited. They were in Mike
f and White T shirts. The offense is moving up

(02:53):
and down the field. Things look pretty good. Tonight's drive
with Traveler was it was night and day. You go to,
you go to, you go to to to Straveler when
he comes in, and look how excited the team got.
They moved the ball up and down the field. The
fans were going crazy. You can't go back to Zack Wilson.
You can't do it. You risk losing team, losing the fans.
You look, you have guys to be calling up Sports

(03:15):
Talk Raider New York going if they go back to
Zack Wilson, I'm never going another Jets game again. Forget it.
I'm not going. I'm not I'm not doing it. I'm
just not doing it. I'm not doing it. And you know,
you can only suck for so long before teams before
fans just sort of unplugged. It's it's kind of crazy.
The Jets still have the fan base they do. It's
been ten years since the playoff appearance. They've been as

(03:35):
bad about as bad as Jacksonville over the past decade,
quite honestly. As for tonight's game, and they lost nineteen
three at home to Jacksonville, the Jets offense had under
eighty yards net when they made the switch at quarterback
in the second half, and then on that first drive
got over eighty yards. That's how bad things were and

(03:55):
how magically delicious it was immediately as soon as the
former CFL player came on. But did they get points
out of that drive, But at least they moved the
football absolutely and excitement. You know. Here, here's here's the
best phrase I can say with Zach Wilson. When Zack
Wilson plays for the Jets, the Jets are non competitive,

(04:16):
all right? At least when when Straveler played, the Jets
were competitive. When Mike White plays, the Jets are competitive.
Is the offense great? No? You know, even the games
Mike White has played. The game against the Vikings that
kicked eleven field goals and lost the game they probably
should have won, right, And it happens that way against
the Bills, they probably should have won the game, but
they kept kicking field goals. So the offense is not great, right,
Mike Laflour's UH system is not great because this offense

(04:40):
has now been struggling for a long time. And you
gotta look at everything. But but when when Zack Wilson
places are not competitive. You look at his worst games
and the Jets are never close to score in a touchdown? Right?
I mean, you thought the Patriots game was rock bottom
for Zack Wilson. This is the worst. Because bench for
a guy that was a four string former CFL guy,
you've been bench from Mike White and Chris Traveler. That's

(05:01):
what you've been benched for. And a forty eight year
old Joe Flacco that who's played quarterback this year? Right,
you are the Jets are non competitive when he plays quarterback.
You can't put a guy out there who's non competitive.
And as much as it, hey, is it on him? Yeah?
Because when I watch him play, he doesn't have any confidence.
He doesn't know when he should throw the football. He
holds onto the ball way too long. He doesn't know

(05:22):
when to throw his mind, he's just shot right now.
And yes, part of it is he's not in a
great system. I never thought he was. And the Jets
continue to do the same thing with him by saying,
don't make mistakes, don't make mistakes, don't make mistakes. You
can't keep telling your quarterback that and expect him to
be great. Don't make mistakes, don't make mistakes, don't make mistakes.
Uh no, how about you tell me, Hey, do your thing,
be yourself, you know, pay attention to be smart now,

(05:44):
don't make mistakes. That That was the big mantra of
the entire season for Zach Wilson has been Oh as
long as he makes the safe play, he doesn't go crazy,
he doesn't doesn't take chances, doesn't do all this. You're
not gonna succeed that way. So no, the Jets have
not really positioned him in a place to succeed. But
he's just not good and he's never been good and
he can't get back in the game now because the

(06:04):
team they will just come. They might not even show up.
I could see C. J. Mosley is gonna go, oh,
Zach Plank, Yeah, I'm not coming. You can make a
case that the Jets didn't show up tonight quite honestly.
But when Zack Wilson was pulled, they were down sixteen
to three, and on the stat sheet it was Jacksonville
sixteen first downs to three advantage. And immediately with the

(06:26):
no name coming in off the bench, the Jets engineered
an eight minute drive. I almost don't care that they
didn't get any points out of that, and eight minute
drive when it was tough for them to even get
a first down for two and a half quarters before that.
And then remember the second drive with the backup was
the one that ended in the crazy fumble where they

(06:47):
got a first down reception and the guy that was
trying to make a tackle, went head over heels and
the heel knocked the ball out of the receiver's hand.
Garrett Wilson. Yeah, that really that had to happen to
Garrett Wilson. Believable. Uh. You know, it's funny you talk
about drives, right, because I really believe. I believe in
starts sometimes, and while an NFL game is sixty minutes long,

(07:12):
sometimes the first three minutes of a game, I'll tell
you how the game's gonna go, and the game can
end in the first three minutes. You had a Jets
team right coming off of this really bad loss of
the lines where Zack Wilson made a couple of nice throws,
but he also made some really bad bad plays and
through bad interception and he was bad, and the stadium
was electric, it was loud, it would they were ready. Hey,

(07:35):
it's a big game. We're getting back into things where
you got a big home game tonight, and it starts
off as well as you could possibly imagine. Force in
the third and long Quentin Williams, who was one of
the best defensive linemen in the NFL, probably should be
All not just Pro Bowl, probably should be All Pro.
This year. He just is that good. I didn't know
if he was gonna play because he had an injury.

(07:57):
During the day, we found out he was gonna be
up for the game. Game and third play of the game,
he sacks Trevor Wilson, who Trevor He sacked Trevor Wills
who pictures of the Giants sacks Trevor Lawrence, who fumbles,
and the Jets are covered at the sixteen yard line.
You can't start any better for a team that's got
problems on offense. Alright, Hey, all of a sudden, now
the Jaguars defense is running out onto the field. The

(08:19):
stadium is going crazy. No one has seen any plays.
You are running and you have everything at your disposal.
And what do the Jets do? In three plays? They
lose three yards. Zack Wilson gets sacked, he doesn't get
out of the way for a rusher, and and and look,
you can sit here and say whose fault was that
first drive? But when they take over on the six
team and all they do is lose three yards, and

(08:41):
then the Jets kick a field goal that was the
air out of the balloon right there. That's what I said.
This game is this game could be over because now
I've seen enough Jets games to know that it's just
gonna be a slog fest the rest of the way.
And the offense is gonna stink because if you can't
score here, when are you gonna score? The offense is
gonna stink. The defense will play well enough, but the
Jaggers will put points on the board. And that's exactly

(09:03):
what happened, and it was ugly. In The Jets offense
was terrible, like right then, even though they're up three nothing,
I said, that's about that's about as bad a turn
events as you can have. After getting the football here
in the sixteen yard line, and that was it because
you could tell from then on the Jaguars were playing
with intensity. They were on top of everything the Jets
were doing offensively, which again leads me back to is

(09:24):
the system the right thing? Because the Jaguars defense stinks,
and when they're on top of what you're doing, I
think you gotta ask some questions. But that's that's how
everything went. The rest of the way. The Jets were
three and out, three and out, three and out, three
and out, three and out, three and out. After it
was over, after the early three nothing Jets lead that
lasted for about four minutes until the Jaguars got there
first of what four field goals tonight, But as far

(09:46):
as the Jets the rest of their possessions for the
first half after that opening field goal where they were
handed field goal position, it was three punts in an interception.
The offense was going nowhere, and it really did set
up to be an old fashioned slog fest if they
had aid this, it's a Shase stadium because with the
rain they had tonight and the wind and the temperature
in the forties and the offense going nowhere, this would

(10:08):
have been one of those NFL films type of things
you see from the late seventies of Jet's history where
there's really not anything remarkable actually happening except the weather,
where it's an entertaining game just because of you're seeing
something that's not normal, that's not every Sunday. Yeah, no,
you said that, you know what I flashed back to. Honestly,
I swear to God. I flet Terry Bradshaw's last game

(10:31):
in the NFL Chase Stadium right. It was his last game.
He threw too long touchdowns and it was the last
game at Shay before they moved to the meadow Lands.
And at the end of the game, you could see
fans were ripping the seats out to take them with
them as souvenirs. They were taking stuff from the stadium.
People were on the subway with all kinds of stuff
from Chase Stadium. People just started taking stuff with the

(10:53):
game with the Jets, We're gonna lose and bran Shaw's
last game, and they were taking stuff from the stadium.
That's a Jet game. What reminded me of Jets at
Chase Stadium. I think they were playing there when O J.
Set the rushing record with the first guy to two
thousand yards back in the seventies. There's a stat that
you know. Now we play seventeen games each team. O J.

(11:13):
Simpson played seventeen career games against the Jets. He had
sixteen hundred yards rushing just against the Jets in his career.
It's that he set the record against them. I could
flip that around and say, couldn't even average a hundred
yards a game against the Jets. Look at that seventeen
games jun yards a game. Wait, what are you doing, dude?
I could average a hundred yards against the Jets, and

(11:37):
there's justin Frostburg. He is shifted out of bounds. Another
eight yard game for froll perfect passer rating three rights.
We we got to mention the rushing of the Jets because, yeah,
because when the backup quarterback came on, he rushed for
over fifty yards. Aside from the backup QB, the Jets
as a team eleven carries twelve yards are sushing in

(12:00):
this game. So you're saying their backups are better than
their starters at one position. That was quite evident tonight.
That is correct and up we mean fourth string quarterback
right your tame to the active roster today. A guy
who transferred from Minnesota to South Dakota and played CFL

(12:21):
and cups of coffee with three NFL teams and got
into a primetime game tonight and actually had moments of shine.
It was impressive. He actually out rushed Trevor Lawrence tonight,
which in Trevor Lawrence had a great night running the football.
Don't try and spend this over over fifty yards rushing
for each quarterback today and he looked like Tebo wearing fifteen.

(12:43):
That was the best part of him running all over
I was waiting for the jump pass. Oh, look at
Tebow's got it going on. I don't. I don't remember
Tebow running this much into Jets uniform he no, no, no.
I think Chris Treviler had more snaps tonight for the
Jets than Tebow at a quarterback for the j his
entire time there. But it was fun to see fifteen

(13:03):
running around looking it's Tebow Tebow. I'd wait for treveling
the Tebow after a big run out of bads. He
sits there and the Tebows you know he does. Are
you implying that maybe after they give out the Heisman
Trophy each year, the Heisman House is closed, so maybe
Tebow was there. Maybe he's got free time because we're
we're past what two three weeks passed the Heisman Trophy

(13:25):
being awarded. Now wait a minute, now, wait a minute.
I watched Sudden Death with Jean Claude Van Damn. He
was able to subdue the Penguins goalie, dress up as
a goalie and get out and actually game sorry as
a spoiler, and stop a penalty shot. I mean, so,
maybe Tim Tebow was able to get to MetLife Stadium. Hey,

(13:46):
Chris trevel and they're like do like the the Spock
thing from Star Trek when he just put his hand
on a guy's shoulder and he would pass out, and
he dressed up as Chris Treveler, and it was Tim
Tebow actually playing quarterback. So it would be like the
Tebow games where not thing happens for two and a
half quarters and then just amazement. They can't be stopped
on this drive. They're gonna have talked to Traveler after

(14:07):
the game. He stands up at the podium and he
rips off his mask like it's missing, impossible. Look, I
told you I can play quarterback. I'm thirty four years old.
Look at me. E done, done right? He says, the
Heisman house is closed, and he throws down the mask
and walks off the phony. Oh it's good to laugh
after the Jets played that way. Well there's laughter with

(14:30):
the Jets. Just got that guy Twitter and out about
a Fresco Steven. Laugh at the Jets on Twitter. That's
that Twitter. If somebody has that could be kept for
quite a while. Laugh at the Jets. At the Jets.
Let's see if somebody has Let me check and see
if somebody has hang on at the Jets laugh at

(14:54):
the Jets, and they won't laugh at the Jets. Oh well,
there's hashtag laugh at the Jets. That's every other week, yeah,
especially Tony. Okay, so there's hashtag laugh at the Jets.
But you can still get the domain. Be sure to
catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show with Mike
Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific on
Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app. Maybe

(15:17):
please get a new quarterback? The Chases Smith Show. Steve
de Sager in from Mike Harmon. Here's how insane I
am right now, Steve, Oh, here's how I'm actually debating
how and and the likelihood the Jets could have a

(15:37):
reunion with Smith next season. He's he's the guy we
wind up with in the off season. That is that
winning the off season? Just like? I mean real it
would be the case. This is how insane I am.
How is that even possible? Though? If they're not benching
Zach Wilson, last of them. I haven't seen the last Smith,

(16:00):
but I'm because I'm going through all the quarterbacks the
Jets should be in on after this year, because look,
Zach Wilson's career is over as a Jet. Absolutely, no,
it is. It is your head coach said he can't.
He can't. If he say I wish I would, I
wish I was, but you're not. So he's the quarterback, right.
But here's the thing, he says it, But is he

(16:21):
really gonna do it? That's me big now saying I'm
doing something and actually doing it. That's two different things entirely.
But you know, going for next year, I'm like, okay, well,
how bad would Gino Smith be? The guys go to
the Pro Bowl this year? Really? I mean that would

(16:41):
be so peak Jets, right a decade after the Jet
said listen, we can't have you anymore. You don't know
what time it is. It's just been a debacle and
it he bounces around the league and then he goes
to the Pro Bowl with the Seahawks and he has
a great season. You know, that would be peak Jets
to reunite with Geno Smith, that really would be. We
can't get Lamar Jackson. So number two on the list
is Geno Smith? And uh what did Tom Brady? No? No,

(17:07):
here's I'll tell you honestly, this is I'll tell you
what I what I'll tell you what I would do,
and I'll tell you what the Jets are going to do. Right.
Here's what I would do is, Yes, Lamar Jackson's the
first phone call. Because we told you last how I
gave you the Big Bowl prediction for next year. You know,
look going to next year. It's my last show of
the year this year before vacation. Lamar Jackson is gonna

(17:29):
be on a new team next year. I I I
look at it like he's played his last down as
a Raven. He's got a knee injury. He wants a contract.
The Ravens don't want to give it to him the
money he wants, so he's not gonna come back and
play this year, and he's not gonna play for the
franchise tag. He'll hold out and the Ravens will have
no choice but to trade him. Yet, the Jets should
definitely get in on Lamar Jackson. Absolutely, they absolutely need

(17:54):
to do that. The next guy that I would go after,
quite honestly, is Derek Carr. Derek Carr is someone who
is he great, no, but he's accurate and he's been
able to play in in in somewhat of a of
of a of a kind of wind tunnel of of
attention in in Vegas. And no matter what, he's a

(18:17):
guy that completes a high percentage of passes. He's been
able to move the team a little bit. And look,
anything at this point is an upgrade over over Zach
Wilson turn and I live with Turns not There're not
tons of guys out there, but that that's a you know,
but Derek Carr is certainly a guy that can I
see him throwing twenty five touchdowns next year for the Jets. Yeah,
and it's twenty five touchdowns a lot, but no, but

(18:38):
it's again, it's more than Zach Wilson's died been gonna
throw ten in one year because the guy's the worst
starting quarterback in the NFL. So Derek Carr is a
guy I would I would go after. And I mean
the Jets should be the Pete Davidson of the NFL.
Every day Pete Davidson is dating some crazy, uh starlet
or model or something, and that the Jets need to

(18:58):
be linked with every single quarterback that could be available
in every single So you mentioned a Raiders quarterback. Does
that mean that JaMarcus Russell is not available for the
Jet Is not a No, he's not available. Todd Marinovich
not available. All these are not available. Well, because as
we mentioned earlier, AP has compared this point of the
career of Zack Wilson and this point of the career

(19:21):
years ago of JaMarcus Russell with the Raiders, they're just
about identical. I know, just think about that. How crazy
that is, just saying he's having the same career as
JaMarcus Russell. Yeah, and one was drafted number one overall,
which is stunning, and one was drafted number two overall,
which is now stunning and in same way, right, because
Zack Wilson was drafted off that great Bowl game he had,

(19:42):
and JaMarcus Russell was drafted off the Great Sugar Bowl
he had right through three touchdowns against No. Tre Dame.
And that's what JaMarcus Russell, Jamacus Russell, all the similars.
I love. When we used to have a regular NFL
scout on on Fox Sports Radio back then, and I
still remember his quote pretty early in jamark As Russell's
NFL career was that his highlight to him to the

(20:04):
player was when he got his signing bonus because because
people found out he just didn't work. He was drafted
number one overall. He's got the checks. He wound up
with seven wins as an NFL quarterback as a number
one overall selection. That was that. And there's the famous
story of them being suspicious that he wasn't actually looking

(20:27):
at the c D s of the tape so called
that to send they were sending home with him. So
they finally sent home a blank CD with him, just
to see. And then the next time he comes back,
they said, so did you look at those plays? Yeah,
it looks good, coach. Be sure to catch live editions
of The Jason Smith Show with Mike harmon weekdays at
ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific. It was a blank CD.

(20:53):
He was not doing homework. He was telling the truth.
That look good, right, I can't see anything everything, It's fine.
Those were actually the Jets plays on CDs. Maybe maybe
the Cardinals did that with Kyler Murray. Maybe that's why
this whole thing I'm stuck into the new contract. He
doesn't work hard, it doesn't happen for uh. So that's
what the Jets. That's what I would do. Lamar Jackson

(21:14):
number one and then the car number two. Right, that
that's where I would go. That's what I would look
at the tree. Lance again, there's a chance of you
just going on down the pecking order of quarterbacks from
one draft. Okay, number two overall, we bombed out with
Zach will overall go after him. That doesn't work, we're

(21:35):
gonna call Joe Montana. And if he doesn't work're gonna
call Joe Montana. We're gonna get one of those guys.
Work our way all the way down to Davis Mills.
But here's what the Jets are actually going to do,
because I I could see it like it's a fastball
down in the the middle. Is now start Stop putting that
coaches words, not mine, Stop putting their coaches words. No, no,

(21:56):
he never said we're gonna start Zach Wilson. If we haven't,
we haven't seen the last of him. That's like when
the villain says at the end of the movie, you
haven't seen the last of me. What did that mean?
He's coming back next one? But Lisa Simpson when when
Homer lost the Grammy um at the Grammys and she goes, Dad,

(22:18):
you lost to Dexi's Midnight Runners. You haven't heard the
last of them? I mean, that's yeah, that's It's like
at the end of the original Star Wars. Oh, they
killed Darth Vader. Wait a minute, he just kind of
floated out into the space. He We haven't seen the
last of him. That's just that's the Zach Wilson. But
here's what they're because I guarantee you here's what they're

(22:39):
going to do. Because it's it's too easy and it's
too cheap. Next year, stop with him. Next year, the
Niners have seen what their quarterback situation is going to be, right,
brock party is is pretty good and they're gonna go
far in the playoffs. This year. I told you, look right,
they should be in the NFC Championship, right, that's how

(23:00):
good they're playing. They are quarterback proof. But Purty is
playing pretty well. They have to give tray Lance a chance.
So next year what they'll do is those are your
two quarterbacks and they will come in and battle it
out in training camp. Tray Lance should have somewhat of
an edge, depend depending on how far the Niners go,
but they will battle it out in training camp. They

(23:20):
will let Jimmy Garoppolo go to seek his fortunes elsewhere,
and the Jets will look at it and say, we
don't have to. We can't draft a quarterback again because
we we just drafted a guy. We got to bring
in a guy that can play because when you when
you get wait, wait a minute, in a sense, they
can't draft a quarterback. So no, they can't, well they
don't know how to do it. Look, i'll get to

(23:41):
that in a second. They should never draft a quarterback again.
But you can't when when you're a team that has goals, right,
because now the Jets are good, right, when you're starting over,
you can go from quarterback to quarterback and figure it out.
When you have goals and your team is good. You
can't go from we got a guy wrong in the
draft to drafting another guy and he's and he's our guy, right.
You can't do that because the team is not gonna do.

(24:03):
We really know what we're doing. We're gonna go for it.
What if we get this guy wrong. It's why you
go from then it's okay, we drafted a guy we
got wrong. Now let's go get somebody who is who
is more seasoned, experience and knows how to win. That's
that's how you go and you win over the locker room,
and you think we solidified the quarterback position. So they're
gonna go out because they're running the same offensive system
the forty Niners do, and they're gonna go get Jimmy Garoppolo,

(24:25):
who's not gonna cost him anything. It's gonna be less
money because he finished the year with an injury. And
then the Robert Sale is gonna be so excited about
him and they'll pay him two years and forty million
to come in and be the quarterback, and they'll figure,
we have our quarterback position solved. He's got a strong arm,
he can throw the ball in the cutting wind. It
met life. It's the same type of situation he had

(24:47):
in San Francisco, because the Jets are kind of a
forty Niners light kind of team. The Niners have a
great defense. The Jets have a great defense, not quite
as good as the Niners, but almost there. The Niners
have great offensive weapons. The Jets have pretty great offensive weapons,
just to tad below the Niners. And the difference is okay,
So now let's go get a quarterback. And so you

(25:07):
go get the quarterback the Niners had who has been
to an NFC Championship game, and been to a Super Bowl.
They're gonna go get Jimmy Garoppolo. It's gonna be cheap,
it's not gonna cost him anything. And that's how they'll
replace him. In the quarterbacks next year will be Garoppolo
will be the starter, Mike White will be the backup.
That's how the Jets solve their quarterback to the lemon
next year, I go bigger, I go bigger. I go
for Lamar Jackson. I I'd go I go for Derek

(25:29):
Carr because you know they want to move on from again.
I'm thinking about Geno Smith. But that's the Jets are
gonna do. It's gonna be Jimmy g and Mike White
as their quarterback. And they should not draft a quarterback
because flash this out. They can't. They can unable. They
have found themselves unable over decades almost to actually do
this because they have drafted. And I will go ahead

(25:52):
and include like fourth round quarterbacks because we've seen people
start in this league from not just first and second round,
but fourth round. So Zach Wilson is not only first
round but number two overall. I think we can say
the jury is no longer out on that one. As
early as uh. Sam Darnald was not just a first

(26:12):
rounder but number three overall. There was a James Morgan
from Florida International that was a fourth round quarterback. Second
round QB from Penn State. Christian Hackenburg Bryce Petty was
a fourth round quarterback. So going back to Geno Smith,
which is about a decade ago, they've kept trying at
this whole draft a quarterback thing, and it's been one

(26:34):
failure after another. Well, yeah, look, the last time the
Jets drafted a quarterback who worked. Think about this, it's
been twenty years. The Jets drafted Chad Pennington in two
thousand and one, and that's the last guy they drafted
who was any good and and he was good, but
then his arm fell off and suddenly they had to go.
And then it was a stop gap with Brett Farve,

(26:57):
who was good for half the year until he got hurt.
Then they drafted Mark Sanchez, who stunk Direct Clemens, he
couldn't make it. Christian Hackenburgh didn't make it, didn't ever
threw a pass in the NFL. Gino Smith didn't know
what time it was and he they had to get
rid of him. They had they had Ryan Fitzpatrick gave
him a year and then he was done. And Sam

(27:19):
Donald they got wrong, and now they got they got
Zack Wilson wrong. Don't draft a quarterback right if you
if you're bad at doing something, don't do it right.
Did get a quarterback that has already been developed, that
has talent and has accomplished some things. It's pretty easy.
If you can get the other positions right, that's great
because the Jets have proven we can get the other

(27:39):
positions right. Right. We know we got the defensive line right,
we got the we got the linebackers right. We got
the defensive backs, you know, we got the we got
the the wide receiver positions right. We got stars there.
We got the offensive line right, but we had some injuries.
We got the running back right, and Bruce Hall. We've
gotten everything, but we can't get the quarterback right. So

(28:00):
do it. So stay. If you can't draft, if whoever
you draft is wrong, don't do it. Get somebody that's
already been developed. And that's they're gonna wind up doing it.
I'm telling you, Garoppolo is gonna be the guy I
can already I could. I could see Jimmy in the
Jets Jersey next year in New York and all what
starlet is he dating? And he is a Garoppolo stuff.
I can see it happening because it all fits in
with what that he'll be experience. Mike White will then

(28:24):
win the job over Jimmy Garoppolo twelve months from now.
You haven't seen the last Jimmy. That'll be the and
that'll be the quarterback room. It'll be Jimmy Garoppolo and
Mike White. That's gonna that's how the Jets are gonna
do it next year. Oh man, you're giving it so quickly.
You're giving me up on Chris Streveler so quickly. And okay,

(28:45):
he could be the third string quarterback. Chris Treveler could
be the third string quarterback. There you go. As long
as he wears fifteen and rights on the back tebow
instead of Traveler, then can you're kicking in with the
curb After what he did for you guys tonight? We
didn't he didn't score any points for easily the greatest
quarterbacks since Nameth in one quarter he was to that.
That's not an extreme state he was today. He was

(29:07):
he was He knew and he knew less plays than
Baker Mayfield did when he took over for the RAMS
a couple of weeks ago. UH
