for the next couple of nights to be the mobile
ti iraq dot Com Studios is we told you last hour,
the big announcement, Harmon and I and Frostburg doing the
show from the win in Vegas. The next couple of nights, Hey, Vegas,
getting ready because they have the Super Bowl a year
from now that we want a little bit part of this. Okay,
so we're doing the show from the wind. It is

(01:07):
going to be exciting. Harmon is gonna get arrested within
the first five minutes ago? Whoa what? What likely to
make a lot of friends? Dude? Hang on, If I said,
if I told anybody that listens to this show, anybody
saying okay, out of okay, I can't, ty Shirt would
be first. But if I said, out of you, me
and Frostburg we all go to Vegas together, the most

(01:29):
likely person to get arrested, it would be you, no question, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
that's Frostburg. He's most most likely to get in a
verbal argument with somebody that escalates. No, if you would
steal food off of somebody's plate, then we're get in trouble.
Come on, I just go to McDonald's now. Listen. If
Tysher would and ty Shot, I feel bad. You have

(01:51):
to you know you're running the show instead. But if
you were there, I know you would get arrested first. Yeah, first,
he would get off the plane. They'd be waiting for him,
and like, it's like, it's catched me if you can, oh,
you found me here, I am cubs. Illegal publicity is
good publicity. Let's go. What do you mean that just
acted like Ohdell Beckham Jr. On the plane? What's wrong

(02:12):
with that? And fine, it's good, it's all fine, pretty much. Fine,
it's all good, which which meant the most to him
not getting a job, his health or that. When you
say arrested, Jason, do you mean by like a police
officer or like a citizen's arrest? Oh? Well, harm no, no, no, no,

(02:32):
And that's what are you trying to channel? The magic
Mike commercial that's going on talking about actual No, and
actual arrest would be Harmon like actual actual arrest, because
he would because here's the thing is, something would happen
and it would seem innocent, and then Harmon would get belligerent.
He would get upset, and someone would say, boy, what
do you think of them stopping the game? When Lebron
broke the record, he would go, oh, I can't believe

(02:53):
they stopped the game. I hated that moment. Why why
would you stop the game with a guy type record?
And then the cop would go, whoa, WHOA watch your
toe with because you watch your toe with me. I
come from a whole family of cops. They're all in Chicago.
Being a cop is all about whoa you back away? No,
you back away you. I'm gonna show you this hat
that I bought. Look it's purple, it's got a feather

(03:14):
in it. And then boom, harmon's and cuffs and then
we got to find somebody else to do the show.
That's how it's gonna Now. Let me tell you one
one thing my father told me when I started driving,
and when you had the potential for getting or whatever.
If you ever bring up that I'm a police officer,
you're in trouble. We ain't doing that. You can't give

(03:37):
me a ticket. My dad's a cop. Where's he a cop?
Eight thirty Precinct? Alright, ey, go blank yourself. I'm leaving.
Find my life and my history is right for comedy
with you? Have I said, you're predicting. You're predicting that
I would be arrested. What he and our ten years together?

(03:59):
Whatever you ever have you believed that? Look if you
say that I get arrested because we got a little
too loud and the party was overflowing, that we brought
too many people in to our circle, that yeah, maybe
that would happen, but we could get a warning, wouldn't we.
I mean, I wasn't suggesting we'd be throwing TV's out
of windows already. I mean, suddenly you bring that up.

(04:21):
Why would you bring it up unless you haven't thought
about it? TV out of a window. Now. We've been
watching a lot of movies where chaos and sues, and
I think that's kind of where your head went. Right now,
the wind is saying, Okay, now we gotta watch out
for the harmon guy he talking. I don't know. I'm
a perfect gentleman. I've been promoting on social media. Come
on out, say hello, I don't know all of that.

(04:42):
The positivity, man, I'm about bringing No, I get it,
but I mean you already made people upsetting people wear
or not a fighter, let's go. I don't know. See,
I don't know, man, I don't know. I think I
think you get in you and you you get the
fever man, you get the Fred Flintstone and you. How
does that get me? Fight to tick? Because it might
get me sad if I if I lose a bet,

(05:03):
But you would you would better with them taking out
on other people. I'm I'm the type that that is
all about self punishing. I don't do anything to anybody else.
You would take a bet, say I want to bet
that eventually the Bears are gonna be good. What do
you mean good? That's not but no, I want to
make a bet. Listen, I'll take whatever rodd you want.
They'll never be good. What are you talking about? The
Bears are never going to be good? And then a
fight in Susan and look what happened. They might arrest

(05:24):
Harmon for betting Bulls unders. I don't think enough. I
don't think you can actually bet on the Bulls invade.
There's no interest level. Oh I'm sorry, did I see
You're gonna get hurt? Hey? Hey, by this time tomorrow,
the bill the Bulls might have an entirely new team.

(05:44):
They might all the with all the rumor, conject your speculation.
The last thing there might be Benny and Chuck Swirski
and Stacy King with the Hot Sauce podcast. Anything is
gonna any Hey, Hey, you just celebrate what his thousands broadcasts.

(06:05):
The best man. That guy is just that guy's the
most positive guy. Team that has had the roller coasters,
uh through the years, all sorts of stuff around. Um,
I don't know. I still get a kick out of
when they do actually win a game. He's got his
dance well take to take some salary, we had to
trade swirsky Wait the biggest thing we had going for us.

(06:29):
I'm sorry you had it, but you bring up a
good point. Talking about trades. Jason Smith Show with Mike
Carmen Live from the Tirect dot Com Studios. We could
talk about how complicated other banks make it to adeem
credit card rewards, or we could talk about how with
Discover you can redeem you rewards for cashing any amount
at any time. I mean talk about amazing learn more
at discover dot com slash redeem rewards terms they do apply.

(06:50):
I will have more in the Russell Westbrook trade coming
up in a few minutes is some big stuff to
get to on it. But as you mentioned a few
minutes ago, Kyrie Irving making his debut for the Mavericks
to night against the Clippers. Mavericks with a sixty fifty
two lead at halftime. Big Nights so far, Kyrie's got thirteen,
He's plus thirteen on the night. What about Kevin Durant?
Is he gonna follow Kyrie Irving out the door? Yes?

(07:14):
Will it happened before the deadline tomorrow? There is only
one team I can see it happening for now at
the end of the now, the end of the season,
he's gone, right the end of he knows it's not
gonna work in Brooklyn. No one's gonna come to Brooklyn
to play with him, and he knows, I have to
go someplace else if I want to win. Right, he's
not the pie piper anymore. He can't stay healthy. He

(07:36):
went in hand picked his team in Brooklyn, and look
how spectacularly that fell apart. Right, the big man, you're
gonna you're gonna fail failed spectacular me left nowhere down here,
it's there's nothing but rubble. Look how great it's gonna be.
And then, oh my goodness, is absolutely terrible. So no
one's gonna come to Brooklyn to play. He knows he's

(07:57):
got to go. It's probably doably too close to the
deadline to work out something big for him. Now unless
the only team I could see it happening for Because
you gotta talk about teams that are desperate, because are
the teams that make the trades the deadline, Right, the
Knicks are desperate because they figure we're better than we
should be. I mean, we're not as good as we
should be. We're pretty good, but we should be better

(08:19):
than four games over five hundred, right, So they go
make the move for Josh Hart. They trade Cam Reddish,
who was an enigma but incredibly talented. They were desperate.
The Lakers trade Russell Westbrook. Why the Lakers were desperate,
They could waste another season of Lebron James when there
are only two games out of the playing spot. They
were desperate. Who is more desperate to make this trade?

(08:39):
That has already spoken with the Nets and they had
the parameters of a deal in place a few months
ago before it all fell apart. The only place he
can go by tomorrow would be Phoenix. Phoenix is desperate, Yes,
they know that. Hey, we haven't been playing great. We
won three in a row and now Booker's back, but boy,
missing him for a while, it's really been different cult.

(09:00):
You could think Phoenix might be a Devin Booker away
from getting back to the top of the Western Conference.
But the top of the Western Conference teams are pretty good, man.
The Nuggets are really good. The Memphis Grizzlies are really good.
They've been slipping lately, but boy, they're really good. You
gotta get up there now. You're just one of many
teams right now, you know, can can you say you're
better than the Mavericks, better than the Clippers. So they're

(09:21):
the one team because they're desperate and it would be
Katie out of conference. And they already talked about the
deal that was centered around DeAndre Ayton possibly Bridges being
involved as well. So they've already talked about it, and
it was something that almost happened a few months ago,
but then things quieted down. They couldn't figure it out.
K D says, I'll come back, but that's the one

(09:42):
team that you can re ignite that pretty fast. Hey,
we had we had to move fast. We got rid
of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durance hurt. We don't know
what he's gonna do for us. Let's just let's just
move on and let's try to get what we can
get for him. And hey, Eton Bridges are two pretty
good pieces. Eighton is miserable in Phoenix. He doesn't want
to be there because as they had that, that's the
only team I can say, let's put it together fast

(10:03):
by the trade deadline, because the Kyrie Irving trade request,
you know, kind of came out of the blue. It's
a few days ago and now wait a minute, now
we have to take care of him. How is Kevin?
Is he happy? Is he unhappy? Can we put together
a trade? Is a trade right now that we put
together fast gonna be enough for him because our team
is going to give up what they would give up
in the past for Kevin Durant. Yeah, maybe Katie is

(10:24):
something we talked about in the offseason. We don't really
know what we want to give up for him. You
probably want too much. It's going to be it would
be difficult to put that together in such a short
amount of time. But because you had that with the Sons,
that's the one team I can see him be traded
to it before tomorrow. Yeah. I think the other part
that comes into it is dude hasn't played in a month.
I've motivated his z to get back on the court.

(10:47):
And if you're for the nets, forget it if he stays.
But just in general, if you're scratching and klawn right now,
are you feeling like, yeah, this is the guy that
it's gonna come in for these twenty seven games and
make us a threat. And I don't know, like how
herd is he or is it a you know what,
I don't need to be there right now. It's it's

(11:08):
not too far off the Kyrier ving path in terms
of all right, when am I playing? When am I not? UH? In?
What is this organization? Do I hold them hostage based
on what I was my objectives versus what team objectives
were at this point. And for Phoenix sitting at thirty
and twenty six right now, what are they eight and

(11:30):
a half a back of Denver and just a half
game ahead of these Dallas Mavericks for the in that
five six seed right now? By the way, good good
effort by the Clippers tonight too, really great. At least
they're not blowing a big lead down eight the maverage.
There's your random stat They had zero turnovers in the

(11:52):
first quarter. Then they decided to be generous and they
had seven uh in the second to try to make
it a game. And it's still an eight point UH
difference as we get to half. But I'd love to
see something shaken up and something crazy UH to happen,
but short time frames it would wreak of of a

(12:12):
desperation to just say, all right, we'll roll the dice
that he's going to be ready and motivated to play.
How do you get those assurances right now? Oh? Free? Well,
for he would say, for the Nets. I mean, how
many more games he's really gonna play for the Nets
this year? Right? How many more? Despite the fact that
when he and Kyrie were playing, they look great, they
look great, and the look whoa, maybe now this is

(12:36):
the okay, maybe this is what we've been waiting for
for the last two and a half years. And then
Kyrie Irving of course ignites it and blows it up
because it's what Kyrie Irving does. We talk it. That's
why I told you can't can't even believe in the Nets,
why they look great, because something's going to happen. Kyrie
Irving says he wants to get traded. He blows it
up after k d is hurt. I wouldn't be surprised
if Katie didn't play the rest of the season. If
he stays on the Nets, he's I'm done. I'm not

(12:58):
gonna go risk my health for the team anymore. I'm
gonna be someplace else in the office. I'm not gonna
do it. But the Sons is interesting. He had interest before,
you know, So that's the that's the one thing. The
one place if you told me Katie's getting try, I
would say, it's the Sons or nobody. It's the Sons
of the off season. That's where it's gonna be. For
Kevin Random, I'd really like to see him here. Pair
him up with lebron a d s all sour puss.

(13:20):
He can go away. Uh. And look, you got two
guys that we'll we'll roll the Dungeons and Dragons twenty
side and die to decide when they play on a
given night. It's like, all right, if it comes back
one through nine, maybe he gives it a go and
the old college try. Here he's gonna give you a
couple of minutes. Uh. And here he's sitting out. All right,
let's go. Um. I don't know. Shuffle up and deal.

(13:44):
Phoenix would be interesting, just because the with Booker getting
back on the court, perhaps you can get a little
little bit of a push. But I would fully anticipate
operations shutdown as he tries to determine what the proper
direction of the team is. It sounds so proper, doesn't it. Yeah, Look,
if if you give me the over under on number

(14:04):
of games he plays the rest of the year, for
the nets and put it out a half. I would
take the under. I'll take the under on that play,
he goes Derek Bell. Be sure to catch live editions

at t J. Mike Carman surely will be a zombie
and the time we're in Vegas doing the show, j
cathedo hit for the four hours I needed to baby. Otherwise,
if I'm zombified watching the world go by and then
news any of the wiser, and you are you are
a hangover Part four waiting to happen. You You are

(15:08):
just you are just there and you are just that
guy you're afraid to get out of the house. I mean, rump,
start all this on me. Wait, like I'm a bad guy. Wait,
I'm sorry. Wait. The whole thing is to not get arrested.
That's the whole point. Even when you're in Vegas. The
whole thing is to not get arrested. He was trying
to get arrested. I'm trying to bring a party to things,
and you're just thinking, I'm I'm up to something diabolical.

(15:31):
You will be just rousing rabble the entire time. Where
the isn't that what Vegas is all about? Arrested? They
were not coming back to the swinging sixties of Sean
Connery where everybody's you know, in a tuxedo playing baccar rock.
Why not that ain't my scene? Uh? Knock is not
your scene? No, I've never felt that's too complicated for

(15:54):
for I mean it's too soon to talk, you know,
when you when you try to disrespect Sean Connery, I
mean he's off to man. Well all right, well but here,
here's here's the help you ready knock knock? Oh? No,
who's there? Dishes? Don't do it? Oh dishes, Sean Connery

(16:15):
told with a straight at, how about a fresca at
Swollen Dome. We look forward to seeing whoever of you
makes it to Vega's plenty of time to book a
flight or getting a car. Jason, you just did him dirty.
That that man's got a family. Sean Connery, thank you

(16:37):
very much. I'll be here all week. Try the veal
uh big NBA trail. And we've talked about to look
at Harmon. See he's gonna he's gonna bring a deer
into this. He's gonna bring a deer into the casino tomorrow.
Now you go. This is my friend and with my friend.
Oh wow, I brought you this one personally like I

(16:58):
brought my old lobster or on a leash. Cook this guy, sir,
you can't bring a deer into the Sorry, correctly, it's
a fawn. Thank you very much, service animal. It's it's
my it's my emotional support, dear. He won't be here long.
He's gonna be my hat in about two hours. Look

(17:21):
at that rack on this guy. I can see Harmon
walking in with a deer with a big rack and
then having like the rack hat on his head, going
see look at me. It's me and my dear that
it's wrong. Again and again I say we're gonna have
to worry about you. The entire time we're in I'm
gonna make you. You're gonna meet people you would have
never thought would come and say hello to you. Yeah,

(17:43):
I want to. I want to meet the people that
you're gonna make new friends of in Vegas. That's who
I want to meet. Hey, how you doing. Hey, I'm
Hob and his new friend. It's great, nice to meet you.
Why don't you when I go outside, we have a
little talk back by the truck. Come on, come on,
so we're gonna have a talk. Why do you think
I'm going. I'm going to meet guy, I said her.
Shady moved out here a while ago. I'm gonna help

(18:06):
the Harmon kid. It's okay, that's all right. Just come out,
Just come out. I'm just saying, just come out for
a couple minutes. Hey, me and Moosse and Rocco want
to come out and just talk to you for a
couple minutes about Harmon, about your relationship. I have things fine,
you'll walk back in this casino or you'll be brought
back in this casino. It's my Carmon show, Fox Sports Trading.
We had no idea what happened to Jason Smith. I
heard he was going for a little tour of the desert,

(18:28):
and he never made it back from his excursion earlier
this afternoon. About you take a nice tour to desert.
We're gonna take you on a nice tour and you
know what, you're gonna stay there. How about the New
York Right? Well, no, but people all move out from
New York. They're out there, and they move out there
to Vegas. They keep the accidents how it goes now
they sound like Derek Carr in Vegas. Oh, welcome here. Uh,

(18:51):
We're gonna go for a tour of the desert and
it's hot, and you may not make it back, just
like I might not make it back because the Raiders
didn't want to bring me back. So I'm gonna go
on a big tour and I may sign someplace else.
I don't know where it's gonna be. Might be with
the Jets. But I'm sorry. I was trying to be
threatening and it didn't work out. Where are you going?
Where you're calling the trail? Uh? So the Lakers say

(19:12):
farewell to the Russell Westbrook. They land d' Angelo Russell
again in a Big three team trade. Uh. They get
Malik Beasley and Jared Vanderbilt as well. Uh, Mike Conley
goes to the Timberwols. There's there's a bunch of pieces
going on here, but the big things to know is
the Lakers get D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Jared Vanderbilt. Uh
Mike Conley goes to the t Walls and the Jazz

(19:32):
get Russell Westbrook and a first round pick that is
top four protected in seven so it's lightly protected. Hey,
you want some better protection. Should have hired somebody else.
I could have protected that pick for you. Nobody would
have got that pick. You could have gone down many
different paths. I'm glad so Westbrook is gone. And the
first thing I want to say is this is that

(19:54):
just think about this for a second. You remember all
the issues D'Angelo Russell had earlier in his career year,
all the back and forth, how how awful it was,
and the the and the drama with Nick Young his
first couple of years in the league, and he couldn't
stay and he had to go, he had to go,
he had to go. Well, that was a while ago,
that was twenty seventeen. Right then, he's been in Brooklyn,
he's been Golden State, Minnesota the last four years and

(20:16):
he has become a pretty solid player. But here's the
thing that that I think will blow people away about this.
D'Angelo Russell is twenty six, right. You would say, hell,
was he thirty thirty one by now? Now he's twenty six. Remember,
he came in the league very young, and there's a
lot of maturity issues when he come to the league.
Is as a as a teenager when you're nineteen years old,

(20:37):
and this is what he did. And he came in league.
He had a decent first couple of years stat wise,
but he didn't fit. Lakers had a lot of issues
with him in the whole iggyazale Ya you here, here's
a video I'm putting on social media. You know, just
knucklehead stuff you do in your nineteen and twenty. But
the guy is only twenty six, right, he's he's he's
done thirty two, thirty three. That well, we gotta get

(20:59):
him now. Now the guy is only twenty six years old,
and that's gonna shock a lot of people. But yeah,
he's twenty six. If this works out, he can be
a great part of the Lakers present and future. Right
because Russell is someone who is pretty well rounded. Right,
He's a pretty good He scores well, he rebounds well,
he dishes the ball well. Uh, he he is a
pretty good He's not. I would say he's kind of

(21:20):
like a He's kind of like a poor man's Jalen Brunson, right,
all the just stuff. Jalen Brunson does great. D'Angel Russell
also does, but maybe a little bit of a tick below,
but that's okay. He's a decent shotmaker, right, and make
a couple of threes a game and is three point
shooting percentages up, which is fine. He's up. Yes, he
will see your phone, he'll put something online. You gotta

(21:41):
watch out for that. But uh, you know, look, he
he is someone that could be a part of the
president and the future for the Lakers. He's had a
long time to mature about this and and this is
the hidden part of the deal that I like, is
that they got somebody who's gonna be better off for
the team, someone who can do more things and not
just be the Westbrook. I'm gonna go out and do
things my way because how he's always done it. And

(22:02):
I'm gonna fight my coach at halftime and and linger
on the court and not get off the court when
he wants me to get off the court. And I'm
gonna be a problem. He's not gonna be that guy.
You've seen what he's done the last few years. Hey,
I know what it's like to be a pro. I
know what it's like to come play. And I'm gonna
play thirty some one minutes a night and I'm gonna
give you eighteen and seven and four and this is
gonna be fantastic. So, yeah, before we get to the

(22:24):
Westbrook part of this, the D'Angelo Russell, I know it
was really awful when he was there. Here's the first time,
but that's a gamble that it's an okay gamble to
take and and if things are gonna work out better
for the Lakers in the long run. First question in
his media availability, So, d'angela, do you subscribe to Eggs
only fans? I'll hang up and listen off the here.

(22:45):
Do you take your laptop with you into the hotel
room everywhere you go? Can you tell me that is
that how it works? Do not leave it behind at
any point, at any junketure. Uh, there is a lock,
a literal lock on it. Not one of those. Hey,
you can still get my phone. Uh, and you know,
get the camera going and and snap a bunch of
pictures that the next time I unlock it, I'm going

(23:07):
to see it. Go oh my god. No, Uh, it's
it's literally in a lockbox. See, we get to bring
back the political lock box. Robb Lincoln doesn't know what
the combination is. Lebron doesn't know. Nobody knows what it is.
Nobody gets in on that. Nobody nobody, And you've got
three security guards surrounding to get at all times. But look,
you got a guy that is matured, he's been away.

(23:28):
I'm sure excited to get back to Los Angeles to
have an opportunity because where they're at in the standings,
I don't know, it's not out of the realm of
possibility that they're playing some meaningful basketball down the road. Yeah.
You you kick yourself for losing games like you did yesterday,
uh to Oklahoma City and and matchups like that. You know,

(23:49):
when you score a hundred thirty and still lose. But
it's it's the idea that you solidify a rotation, and
that's what they did by adding these three pieces, you guys,
that that can play in Vanderbilt a guy that gives
you a little bit of the height Lebron keeps talking
about and willingness and ability to work around the rim.

(24:09):
So you know, there there's some stuff that that you
have to like the you know, the addition by subtraction
comes in as well. Right, Russell Westbrook getting into it
with Darvin Ham last night before half. Evidently they cleared
everything up because he told him I'll see in hell
you're out of here. Uh as they were tapping up
at the end, or you know, I can only assume

(24:31):
there was some of that. Yeah the last time, because
I actually asked rhetorically before we got off air last night,
was that the last chance for Lakers fans to boot
Russell Westbrook? And they're all going, yeah, I'm sorry. I
felt for the banana the telpipe so many times. Yes, yeah,
Russell Westbrook's walking off going yeah, of course they're gonna
trade me to borrow. I haven't heard that before every
single day. Yes, right, let's see, and you're proving true,

(24:53):
you know. And and here's the thing is is why
did Russell Westbrook fail in Los Angeles? Now? The Lakers
have to have a lot of a lot of responsibility
here that no one's telling him about because they they're
the ones that decided, Hey, we're not gonna let you
come in and do your thing right. We want you
to try to to to work around Lebron and everything
else going on. So they got to understand that, Hey,

(25:14):
they know they're bringing it. They're bringing a ball dominant
guy his entire career and you're asking to change. But
this is why it didn't work, because the Lakers decided
to ask Russell Westbrook to change, and Russell Westbrook didn't change.
He was like, Yeah, it's great. I'm still gonna do
everything I want to do. I'm gonna launch bad shots,
I'm gonna try to be a volume guy, and I'm
gonna have the basketball for long stretches of time and

(25:36):
try to make it work. And it it just didn't
fit in. And you know it's I I think I
think about it like this. When the Lakers made that
move for Russell Westbrook, I was thinking about something my
aunt once told me a long time ago when we
were talking about marriage. And wait, it's actually before I
was gonna get married to Pam and we were talking
about marriage. You know, you guys are gonna get married.
We're talking about the whole thing. And she said to me,

(25:57):
you know, the thing is that what I what I've
seen from all my friend is growing up. This is
not anything that had to do with our relationship. This
is just, you know, She's what I've seen from my
friends growing up is that I see my friends, the
guys they marry are marrying my friends because they don't
think she's going to change. And my friends are marrying
these guys hoping that they are going to change, that

(26:20):
marriage is going to change them. And and and and they
take the you know, the person they are right now,
which is pretty good, and we're the marriage will bang
out a lot of the rough dents, and this guy
is gonna turn into a prince. And very rarely does
that happen. People don't change who they are, and just
getting married doesn't change. It only happens in TV shows
and in the movies. All marriage changes. Me, Yes, it does. Um,

(26:41):
the Lakers went out and got a guy. They knew
it was not going to change, right, They knew he
wasn't gonna change. You really think you're gonna change, Russell Westbrook.
That's why I said give him the ball from the beginning.
Run the offense through him, because you can have a
D and lebron A just off of Westbrook much easier
than you can have it going the other way. And
how many that did you see? Where Westbrook standing by

(27:01):
himself in the corner. I'm not gonna get the ball.
He's not a threat, right, This is not helping the offense.
But that's Lakers wanted to do. You knew he wasn't
going to change, So what do we do? We try
to make him change. It was stupid. It was stupid
to make them do that, But that's exactly why it
didn't work, because you got a guy that you knew
had done things one way for his entire for a
dozen years. Okay, now we want you to change. Oh really,

(27:23):
Now I'm gonna know. I'm not gonna change. I'm just
gonna do what I've been doing for them because that's
all I know how to do. I'm not gonna suddenly
do something different. You don't need a gonna grab Patrick
Mahomes when he gets to be thirty two years old
and go, hey, Patrick, we want to turn you into
West Coast offense pass or now you're gonna throw short
pass his timing, get rid of the ball really really fast,
and we're gonna get the ball down the field that way. Patrick, Now,
I'm not gonna do that. That's not anything I do.

(27:45):
So yeah, this is why the Lakers have to own
a lot of it because they took a guy that
you knew wasn't gonna change, and you said, yes, we
need you to change. So yeah, and he wondered that
that didn't work of course not. Yeah. I think when
you get down to it is as you make the acquisition.
This is the everybody's got to do the blood oath. Right,

(28:06):
you're gonna sign in blood here as to what our
plan and vision for this squad is, and you'll pay
the ultimate prep whatever that. Maybe, uh if you don't
go along with said plan, because clearly you can have
some of these conversations and what are they gonna do?
Not go huh huh. It's like talking to your kid.
All right, you need to clean your room? Why? Because

(28:27):
we need to be able to you know, I don't
need to scrambled around like an idiot on a Monday
morning wondering what happened to item X y Z. You
need for a class? The book the notebag notebook, the
lunch bag, whatever else. I I just don't need it. Uh,
same thing here, huhuh. And then we all right, let's
go play some basketball. But you said you were getting
aad a hell with that, and that's what we watched

(28:50):
night after night. It just seemed like they were trying
to work it on the fly, hoping that situational basketball
would override the instincts and history right that playing with
Lebron and when the available Anthony Davis was suddenly going
to override all of that. And to some degree, you'd

(29:10):
like to think that guys have and women and whatever
circumstances have enough self awareness to realize when maybe you've
gotta curtail some activity, maybe you've got to change your
attitude about this that the other day doesn't mean you
have to fully embrace it. But you know something, they
getting go along to get along? Right? You go to events,
you know, hey, you know I got this thing for work,

(29:32):
and you know you got you got a show? Do
I really have to? You know? And you go and
you make peace with it, and do you love it?
Know the kid's birthday parties? Think about that wherever you
are across this great land of ours, how many bounce
houses have you gone to? How many times did you
say I can own a boat? For the number of
times that we've come to this damn bounce house for

(29:53):
everybody's birthdays. But you know what, you smile and you
go push the kids on the zip line one more time.
Same thing here in your locker room. It's you know,
we could win this game against this equally sorry franchise
if you just suck it up a little bit and
you know, just play some team basketball. And unfortunately, time

(30:13):
and time he gets like out of hell with this.
I'm doing my own thing. Eighteen seconds on the shot clock.
Watch this, I'm gonna run it down and Lebron's gonna
stare at me the whole time. Watch watching here we go,
here we go, and then I'm gonna throw up a
bad shot, and now here he got thrown out of town.

look it would be one hell of a way to
go out, right, would they? Would they still do the

(32:42):
halftime show? What if Terry? Who would pick up the reeds?
I mean, who would do that? I guess how he
would have to? Yeah, they would say, okay, time now
if you're hey, what look at what's going on the
first half? Jet Steelers? Oh right? Not? No, Terry's not, no, Terry,
someone else has to do this. Terry is not. Remember,
Terry is not he Remember what happened on the on

(33:03):
It's a blatant hold by Sauce Gardener, but it allows
for the safety to come over the top and make
the interception and then making gifts of him on the floor.
Oh if I could die on the be ratings right?
Be ratings? Wouldn't it that I've had to wonder about
with you? Jason? Why is that why you have to

I haven't had McDonald's in the last like you know,
I don't know, no, No, I had Burger King today,
but I had a McDonald's in the last you know,

don't look forward to. Okay, I'll try to I'll try
to worry about right now. You got that in my head.
Hose my, you got that in my head. Now? You

(33:49):

Be ratings, It would be ratings. He's right, it would
be Ready, Terry brad we're gonna show you some video here.

the first half. But we're gonna be gonna talk about

(34:10):
the Bradshaw stuff after. But here's Trevor Lawrence and those
three touchdowns in the first half. Nicely done. I really
like the way you you pivoted there. Yeah, that's that's
a tough one though. Man. You know, every we all,
we all come to our mortality is as our professions
and uh while our actual lives. Uh there. And you know,
