Las Vegas. Um, I'm the only guy wearing a sweatshirt
in the entire city of Las Vegas. I think do
you think the NFL honors and the awards bestowed upon

(01:07):
your Jets both for the season that was in two
plus the longevity in history that is the Pro Football
Hall of Fame that maybe by nightfall, when we get
out of here, when it really it's already, no, no, no,
when it when it really like for us it doesn't
count yet because we're still working. But I'm saying when
look in Vegas, it's always we just we just ordered dinner.

(01:29):
It's National Pizza Day and we ordered pizza. I don't
know that that was really a pizza. Well it's well, listen,
that pizza is different. Pizza is art. Sometimes you get
a flatbread with mozzarella and pursiuto, and that's pizza. Sometimes
you get a nice deep dish. Yeah, that's that's that's
that's in chicag This is this is, this is how

(01:50):
Vegas does it about we take over the world. I'm
just you know, my friend, we go too somewhere. One
thing I'm that upsets me. What's that that that go
back in my life is that it took me until
I was about thirty years old to discover pursudo. Really,
how that relative? It's the best. But even before we

(02:10):
started getting down the road of inflation and all those buzzwords,
pursudo was always expensive, right, yeah, but how did it
come in from a humble means? I mean, wait, we
didn't have any of that when we were kids. And
then all of a sudden, I start looking into recipes,
I start cooking, and I've got well pursued it. I
was like, that's that much of pounds, Like yeah, but
it's so good that no one or will eat half,

(02:33):
Like I'll buy a pound like for different recipes, like
half it will be gone before I ever get to cook.
It's like, what the hell? Man, that's another one I
could I could do well on a competitive eating contest.
It was pursued of Oh man, I just waffer thin,
just keep well. You'd probably eat half the paper that
separates it when you buy it. I'd make the paper
part of the roll up. That's good, that's waxy. But

(02:56):
I don't care because I'm eating the pursuito. It tastes
so good, just salty nous, just overwhelming. I just want
more of the fact, give me the entire white part,
just a tiny little bit of the rest is giving
that sliver of actual meat. But you said, look, it's
an unbelievable night for the Jets, act for the organization
you had. You had two players get elected to the
Pro Football Hall of Fame that spent the majority of

(03:18):
their career with the Jets, Joe Cleco and Derrel Reeves.
Clecco one of the guys you and I definitely grew
up watching, watched as we were professionals, commenting and watching
him become a Patriots Hall of Famer. But Joe Cleco
is a guy that used to run into a training
camps wherever, just one of the guys. And now to
have him get this honor, man, that's one of those

(03:40):
you just want the It's not David Baker knocking on
the door anymore, but like that's what those are the
guys that you love to see that moment, right because
it's so long in the rear view mirror since they're
playing careers. To be able to get that honor and
to be able to enjoy it, and obviously the Jets
trying to find any bit of positivity. One Aeron Rogers
signs with the Raiders. I mean, this is a good

(04:02):
night for you. Uh. And also you throw in the
fact that Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson are your Rookies
of the Year. Uh. And Breecee Hall probably would have
won had he not gotten hurt. Even Garrett Wilson said,
look if he doesn't get hurt, the dude wins, and
dude a special man. He was fun to watch, and
then he got hurt, so Garrett Wilson takes the torch.
The great thing for Garrett Wilson winning for you is

(04:24):
that he didn't actually have a viable quarterback and still
one Rookie of the Year. That shows you how special
and how he think he was considered. Other guys were
gonna like Brock Purdy was pretty good. Other guys got dude.
Did you see who's throwing him the football? Oh yeah,
and he's still Yeah that that helps the process. Yeah,
that definitely does. Definitely does. But not just a big
night for the Jets, but a big night for the

(04:45):
Giants because Brian Dable was named NFL Head Coach of
the Year. Also had the quote of the Year well
talking about how he's going to enjoy the Super Bowl.
Yeah he yeah, look Dable. Look. And this gets into
the conversation we had a few weeks ago where I
told you Brian Dables the NFL Coach of the Year,
Like I disagree with the m v P vote tonight,
which we'll get into again, but I told you a

(05:06):
while ago it's Brian Dable, and it's not even close. Right,
there's other guys who have done great work, right Lover Hayte,
Nick Sirianni. He did a good he had a great year. Uh,
Doug Peterson, great year. Brian Dable absolutely was the head
coach there. I'm glad he won. And you know, I'm
telling me the truth because I'm a Jets fan to
say to give credit to a Giants guy, it's a
little tough. But he come into a situation. Why does

(05:29):
he get it over the other guys. Doug Peterson comes
into a team that has a number one drafted quarterback
that he has to figure out things. Okay, great, but
and they went and spent them on a lot of
money in free agency. While those guys were might have
been considered disappointments in their previous destinations, they were all
guys with great UH pedigrees and expectations. So bringing them

(05:52):
in there was an at ten coming back, there was
expectation that that offense could take a leap. You brought
in talent, you had number one overall picking the draft
and Trevor Lawrence did and the end, he did a
great job. Right, did a great job. Nick Siriani did
a great job too, Nick Sirian. He also has maybe
the most talented roster in the NFL, which is well,

(06:13):
I think it's about I think it's about his attitude.
Like you know, you can tell what he's like as
a kid going He show everything from Triple Age and
generation that is he grew up watching them. He still
has their posters on his wall. Who doesn't these guys,
but you see what they have now now talking about

(06:34):
Brian Dable. Brian Dable is a new coach who comes
into this situation and they don't go out and spend
money on anybody. They don't go out and get anybody.
Your best players are a running back who's injured who
you have no idea what you're gonna get from him,
and a quarterback you're thinking he's on his last legs.
He's going to be replaced. Right. The Giants wound up

(06:56):
this year overachieving so many ways, and Brian Table comes
in new coaching staff, knew everything and is able to
bring that team into the playoffs. It was astounding what
he was able to do within the hair's breadth of
the NFC Championship game, which would have maybe want to
throw up because the Jets spend all this money and
all this time and they bring in this guy and

(07:17):
bringing this guy, and fire this coach and bringing this
coach and make trades again, all these draft picks, and
Brian Table comes in and says, yeah, whatever you got here,
I could work with it. Hey, we're in the playoffs
and we're one step away from the NFC title game.
But he did that with nobody. Because the Giants have
a bunch of Jags. Their defensive line is pretty good.
Is it great? No, but it's pretty good. And they
were able to control games here. But it's a good rotation.

(07:40):
You don't need. You don't need gaudy stats, right, because
that's a lot of what we're talking about this week
with the Super Bowl is how many sacks that the
Eagles had. Look how many guys had double digit sacks.
We look at the Chiefs fifty five sacks and what
that defensive front did. With the Giants, the biggest story
was Thibodeau and look what he did. Yeah, right, But
they're all guys that you say, as a unit, they

(08:01):
did the job and then some right. So that's the
only part of the Giants where you could say boy,
I have a little bit of envia that and the
rest of it was we have no wide receivers. Richie James, Mail,
Buddy Richie James, Darius Slayton, and Film McConkie. Those are
your top three wide receivers. Heart Jeremy Shocky played tight
end a little tough few times this year. I mean,

(08:22):
I like Daniel Belinger, but he was hurt most of
the year. Unfortunately, he kept getting hurt and still the
Giants were able to win. And not only that, they
went into games and they had take care of business
games right the watching them play, it's I always am
so envious of teams that can come in with a
with the with the same mindset. Every single week. The

(08:43):
Giants come into a game against a team that's probably
more talented than them but under achieving, and it's a
take care of business game. The game doesn't get too
big for them. They don't make mistakes. Do they look
great while they're doing it, No, but they do what
they have to to win. Daniel Jones makes enough place.
Is he a really good quarterback? No? Is he good
in this system? Did Brian Dable make him a good quarterback? Yes?
He did. He made him good enough to win. Think
about it year too. Yeah, I wanted to push it forward.

(09:05):
But right table, right now, the job he did more
with less than anybody else in the NFL, anybody else
in the NFL, and it's that's not even close. Yeah.
Now when you compare now, take a look back at
Peterson and Sirius. Well, well, Sirian, he had a lot
of great guys and I brought in a J. Brown
it was really good, okay, and well Peterson had Lawrence

(09:25):
and yet end comes back and all these Yeah, they
had spent money on Ingram former Giant, right, I mean, well,
part of that's him. I mean to bring him in
he's no, but that was a point, right. He was
a guy that was always he'd give you three or
four games like, oh, this guy could be a freak.
And then he goes to Jacksonville and he shows you
more consistent. They should be the finalist. And I'm not
saying and it's it's funny when you say, oh, this
guy shoulto like like suddenly Doug Peterson's at the bottom

(09:47):
of there, like, hey, Robert Solo did a better job that. No,
But when you're talking about Coach of the Year, it's
not you know, you're there's one those Finals six he was.
He was the Week seven NFL. It's the Week seven
of the dude from the Prices right. Unfortunately, Week ten
was the class because even though even though the Jets

(10:09):
had a lot of talent, he was five and two
with Zach Wilson. All right, But when we talk about
David right, it's the same thing. You're playing with one
harm tied behind your back with Zach Wilson. As you
do the offense wasn't gonna be able to play. And
now I like Daniel Jones a bit more than most,
and I think a year or two with Davil will
be interesting. But for this year, you didn't know what

(10:31):
Barkley was gonna be. You had a lot of questions
on that offensive line. And to your point, there's something
to be said in the NFL where a game that
looks like on paper as a complete gross mismatch isn't
because you don't do the fundamental things wrong. You don't
give the ball up. Jones cut his turnovers down tremendously.

(10:54):
You don't get penalized pre snap penalties. For a lot
of the teams that we love and we celebrate their
loppy but they had the talent to overcome it. The
Giants don't, so they don't kill themselves in that way.
They did a good job in the training room. Sorry, prostpered.
It's something I have to bring up with some regularity
because that is a big part. That is a big
part of the National Football League, is availability and how

(11:17):
well you're able to get your guys to stay on
the field, to work through injuries, et cetera. They they
had most of their principal twenty two played through the year,
So you add it all up, it bodes well for success.
I'm looking at a betting slip here. Uh. Someone on
the tenth of October put down fifteen dollars. They netted

(11:38):
a return tonight on NFL Honors number one Sauce Gardener
plus six hundred for Defensive Rookie of the Year Justin Jefferson,
plus six hundred for Offensive Player of the Year, and
plus six hundred Bryan Dable Coach of the Year. That
was in early October. That's pretty good. That's pretty good.

(12:00):
Kind of what we do, We tell you and then
it comes true. Well, now at least I'm here, okay,
So now I can go and make a bunch of
NFL futures bets. Now, I got n I'm ready. I know,
I know you. You're like Daniel Caffeine, A few good men.
And these are fourteen letters written by Santiago begging, no
demanding a transfer. Okay, um, my kids have told me though,

(12:20):
all my money can't go to betting. It's got to
go to gaudy shirts. Because I showed him a couple
of the storefronts and we walked by you and I earlier, Oh,
look at that. You would never wear that battling I'm like,
you would never wear that. She goes dead one time

because this is a this is something that affects more

(13:03):
coaches than you think. Every coach has his own specialty.
Some coaches are great, Hey, we'll take this team from
the ground up. Summer coaches where hey, you give me
the talent, I can bang out the dents. And Brian
Dable what here? He did a lot with less? Right
now the pressure is gonna be on and they're gonna
add pieces next year? Is it resigning? Say Kwon Barkley?

(13:24):
Is he gonna take less? It's going forward with Daniel Jones?
Do you sign the right wide receivers? Can you bring
the right guy? Can you do more with more? Right?
If now we're gonna give you money and now you're
gonna go to go out and spend and now let's
see what you do now, can you be that kind
of guy? Right? Can you be that kind of guy?
What's that last leg? Look? Now? I gotta have confidence
in that because I saw what happened to the Bill's

(13:45):
offense this year with him gone, and they struggled. I mean,
it still looked good for the most part, but they
still struggled big time. They didn't score his easily. That
the red zone was tough. So I have confidence that
he can do that. But that's a big thing. Hey,
it's one thing to win with less when I can
see this and I can get you to a certain
spot and I can squeeze every bit of juice out
of this orange right here. But what about when you Hey,

(14:06):
now I'm gonna give you a lot of money. Oh crap, man, Now,
now we gotta go win. Okay, can we do it?
That's a tough part. But Brian Dable easily your NFL
Coach of the Year. I hate to say I told
you so. Be sure to catch live editions of The

(14:50):
Wire Studios here at the Wind Casino and uh having
fun here in Vegas. So far, um I think we're
changing some minds. You know that think many Raider fans
we talked to you so far today, I'd understand that
they need to back away from Aaron Rodgers and let
the Jets get Aaron Rodgers. That needs to happen. I
think everybody understands that. See, because I've been doing the

(15:11):
counter argument this entire time, talking about how it's time
to come out of the darkness. We've had a couple
of suggestions that maybe before Aaron Rodgers enters into his
four days of darkness, he gets himself a little bit
of the black and whiskey, listen to a little Metallica,
and then he goes in and he comes out in
the right mindset, ready to dominate Las Vegas, and he's

(15:31):
ready to resume his life among the bright lights and
seven that is Las Vegas. And whenever Davante Adams is
concocted to bring him into his neighborhood, because that it
could be Mr Rogers neighborhood. Okay, okay, alright, I'm with
you on that. I'm with you as much as it
would pay in you as a Jets fan, because it

(15:52):
was because you got a couple of Rookies of the Year.
You've got a coach that maybe you like, maybe you don't,
a new offensive coordinator. You've got a couple of guys
going into the Hall of Fame, one of whom is
a Patriot, but you know, we can quibble about that
another time. But you're also looking at a team that
is fairly fully formed with the Raiders. There are questions
about players coming back. Josh Jacobs, it seems like he

(16:16):
does protest a bit too much at this point, that
he set it up to a point where there's no
offer the Raiders can make him that's going to make
him happy. But the more he talks about how much
he wants to be there, that it's all their fault
if it doesn't work out. Darren Waller, could he stay healthy?
Hunter renfro what is he? And go on down the line.
And you still have other component parts of this squad

(16:38):
that need an adjustment. But it is fun that we
have these two franchises that have been wandering, well literally
in the desert here for a long time, trying to
find back Nirvana. There's no a good quarterback. He's not
a great quarterback. Right. People have tried to perpetrate that
he was a great quarterback for a long time. He

(16:59):
just needed this that the other, and maybe that if
that m VP season, you know, the it's broke, it's
broke didn't happen, maybe he would have gone on that
trajectory and it would have worked out. You know what,
Life happens. And here we are. We had nine years.
You could we had nine years. This isn't end of
rookie contracting problems. This isn't start second contract. And now

(17:21):
we're kind of wandering and meandering and we're not getting
any better. No, this is a full nine years. You've
been with you, You've seen it. I'm telling you. Look,
it's a it's a case of for the Raiders. Yes,
Aaron Rodgers fits great, but the Jets need him more.
That's kind of what it is. It's how the Jets

(17:41):
need him more. Is this how you predict games? Change?
You know what they needed more? They wanted it more.
Speaking of that, just just for a second, because the
Jets needed a lot of wins down to Chet. You
know what you got with you nothing losses. We had
six and a row. Even with your rookies of the year,
your precious rookies of the years, sound so bad. Hey,
look you're look hot. Look how great it's awesome. How

(18:04):
he games you to win. That's not important about the
rest of the roster, but those rookies. But speaking look,
because because we talked about Brian David winning coach here,
I told you he was gonna when he did um. Seriously,
after last night, I think I'm pretty not. I don't
think I know I can be an NBA insider, you know,
because what did we say last night, second hour of

(18:25):
the show. We talked about Kevin Durant getting traded. Right,
it's gonna happen, but probably in the off season because
it's too tough to put a deal together with somebody else.
But the one team I said, you could see him
traded by the deadline by the only one team, and
it was the Suns because they had the frameworking place
before they talked before the season. It's where Kevin Durant
wanted to go in this late gasp of okay, now

(18:46):
Kyrie Irving wants out and now k d probably wants out.
That's the one place he could go was Phoenix. And
what happened an hour and a half later, he got
traded to Phoenix. Boom how bad did I nail that? Right?
Got me? I mean that look it had been floating
out there, though it had been out there. You can't
you know, you can't tell me, you like you're some

(19:07):
sort of wizard. I was the one who said it,
though you can't. It's out there. I was. We gotta
actually say things, and this is what get I read
it now. You read it on my tweet and you
heard me when I said it to you. You a
guy who flipped me off in the first time. You
would you would you like me to go review the
transcript of my history go all the way back. I

(19:29):
said it. You flipped me off the first out jump
still you had it coming. I did not. You did.
You were mad that Gino Smith would come back, trying
to say it was one of you had not again. Yes,
I can't benden this finger does it? What finger nots?
Not your middle finger? You just away it did? Just
flip me off again, Gino Smith. I don't understand, Gino Smith.

(19:51):
I don't understand why that's got you so bad the
second time forgot Gino? Did you bet against Gino Smith
wouldn't come back player of the Year. I just don't
do bet on justin field. This is one more Well,
he shouldn't have qualified in the category either. How does
that qualified. He had to come back from playing for
the Jets and he hadn't started in years. And now
looking with man the moratorium on the coming back for

(20:12):
the Jets. Look, man, that's a long time ago, man,
Look And you can't keep bringing that up as an
excuse after you've been through multiple teams. You know what.
The Jets scarred him forever. No, no, no, at some
point you can or you can't. And in this case, yeah,
I celebrated his year. He had a fantastic season. Right.

(20:32):
You have Kenneth Walker, you have Metcalf, you have Locket,
two guys that went and had fantastic years. Tyler Lockett
had a top twelve fantasy season For those owners that
had a little bit of risk reward going on, whether
it was gonna be Gino or Drew lock No, and
I celebrate what he did. The comeback player of the

(20:54):
Year for me is not hey, you sucked and you
didn't you didn't suck anymore. It's you came back from
an injury, an illness, something that be set your path
as opposed to you couldn't win a job. That's all
I'm saying. Okay, okay, you flip me off twice because
I did nice. I think you're making stuff up. Now

(21:16):
you're perpetrating. Are you fitting me? You're really close to
getting arrested. You are trading in one show Gino Smith.
If I had in this bottle and then Gino Smith,
Gino Smith, Geneo Geno Geno g. Smith from kJ R
and Seattle come back. That's all he did was goo.

(21:39):
He didn't say anything else. We got ye come Back
Player of the Year, Gino Smith, Comeback Player of the Year,
Gino Smith, Gino Smith, Gino Smith, come Back Player of
the Year, come Back Player of the Year. Harmon's got
his hand out level right now? You know your fingers twitching.
Your finger is twitching to make that move that needs
some caffeine. But here's why I think I get it
in shining right a draw? Right? How right was I

(22:02):
about Kevin Durad? Huge story right? And it broke an
hour and a half later. If I just spent time, say,
I'm NBA insider Jason Smith, and what do I do?
I shadow the big NBA accounts right and make sure
and like a second after they tweet out big breaking news,
I write out breaking news, so and so happens right now.
They all get mad at me, like, wait, you just

(22:23):
I had the breaking I just said it was breaking, right,
But people will come to be in the period with Musk,
he had it. He can fix the time stamp and yeah,
I could look like I had a way before sham
shams or what was your anybody? Yeah, I know. So
I tweet out like and it looks like people go, well,
they had at the exact same time, would be four
minutes ago, four minutes ago. But I have to really
be like a hawk on social media. I tweet out

(22:44):
right after them, and again make sure I get it
in the next minute. So now suddenly, all right, I
have some stuff going on. Then they make my Bowl predictions,
which I'm at about six overall, So no, no, no,
or you've lost your ass and every other and and
this is the one thing that you're getting speaking. I
am just I just I'm hitting my peak. YEA peaking,

(23:05):
not fifty two, I'm peaking. And so if I get
sixty of those right, those big Bowl predictions, right, that
look like an insider. The other thirty five percent I
miss I miss people miss stuff, Insiders miss stuff, and
they go, I can't believe you got that wrong. Oh well,
people will forget, but by that time, I'm an insider.
I'm an insider, and I keep going back to the
real insiders and making sure I just get that right out. Okay,

(23:27):
if I miss a couple, I gotta make sure I
get a few. Right here, here's the pending its inside Frostberg.
I'm I'm gonna tell you you know where this falls up.
You don't go to school to be an insider. You
don't have to study, you don't have to go to
grad school. You just have to say I'm an insider,
right bocking my entire CV. By the way, I'm an insider.
I'm sorry you spend all that money to go to
grad school and you didn't have to. All it got

(23:48):
you was sitting next to me. That's all that extra
money got you. What was the north What was an
eighty five randy year at Northwestern? And you're sitting right
next to me, sitting here here with me, I'm Danny Glover.
Flee the weapon with me, Come right here here with
right now. We're not going to go into my darkness.
My abyss of decisions made, money spent, etcetera. As my

(24:09):
daughters are getting ready towards the college age, we get
to approach it differently. Right, first generation college and and
this is the rule, uh and the way it's always been.
At least two people I've talked to first generation college
was you go to the best school you got in, right,
whatever they ranked whatever. Yeah, you went and you figured
it out. And in a lot of cases that met

(24:29):
you took out a lot of loans. I actually was
a loan counselor for the school after trying to help
people to navigate, uh and so on. But no people
can read that in my book. That will come out
my book next year. But the point I was trying
to make was to be an insider. You're also gonna
have to do a lot of networking, relationship building, travel,
all things you don't like to do. You hate people,

(24:52):
You hate traveling, except here you you love coming here
the Blue Ire Studios, uh, in the Mobile Tire Acts Studios,
and and here at the Win Las Vegas. No, we're
having a blast. So this this travel worked. But just
when you add all these things together, a lot of schmoozing,
a lot of dinner tabs. You're gonna have to pick
up that ain't happening. Come on, man, do I need

(25:14):
to do that in this age? I don't need to
do that. I'm medio. I got it out. I got
it out there because in the end, it's still gonna
be about relationships. No, what do I need relationships. I'm
just because people are gonna go out of their way
to defame you. Mayn't tear you down. I know I'm
I'm I'm the mystical and you have to be charming. No,
I'm a fairy. You're kidding. I'm a charming I'm a

(25:35):
charming blank or black man. I said that just a
lot more that Arnold Sax a charming blank or blanker.
Uh No, I don't. I just need to make sure
I got it on social media and my ball predictions,
which I'm really good at. No, you've had a pretty
six I getting, you know, an extra couple of percent.

(25:56):
But he doesn't matter right. As long as I get
it more right than raw and I piggyback off the
other guys. I could do it even if you don't.
I could even be I could say, you know, here's
the thing, because doing what we do doing all the
big sports we do NFL, Major League base But I
could be the first. Hey he's just an insider. Well
for what No, no, he's an insider yeah before it sport,
no football, baseball, Basketball, he's an insider for doing that

(26:20):
show for entertainment forever. No, no, no, not not the
not not the not not okay, not the not the
entertainment insider. Hey, check out what this seat filler had
to say. Why j Loo and Ben Affleck were really
getting at it? You saw that? Really? No, So I
could be the first three sports. You can't fill a

(26:41):
seat three sport inside. I could sit in a seat
pretty good, But I could be the first three screw
in there in the whole night. It's like you screwed
this seat up, filler. It's like, hey, the kid, the
kid knows how to fill a seat. What do you
want from me? I'm a seat filler. I could be
the first three sport insider. Well wait a minute, what
are you talking about. I mean, if you could get
the crown, Yeah, I mean you'd be like a guy

(27:02):
that could be the ect of of of Insight, or
a man or a woman that has multiple stars on
the Hollywood Walk of Fame. What's he in for here? Baseball?
What's he in for over here? Jets like not NFL. No,
he just jets. All he cared about it. It It was
a singular focus. Didn't matter. Guys were getting in his
jets at two jets got in the Hall of Fame tonight.

(27:23):
It was awesome. I could do that. I didn't. You
didn't have something to do with it that there's not
some chicanery in that voting room. You think I called
Jason Colin said hey, dude, you vote for board. He might.
He might. If I say, hey, two more sandwiches and
you you know, one sandwich reached jet that gets in
the Hall of Fame, and there's Rebus and Cleco, I'd
be really sad. If the man can be bought, I

(27:45):
think I think you'd be surprised the number of people
that could be bought for sandwiches. Oh no, No, Number two.
If I said to you, if I said you here,
we are we're at the Blue Wire Studios right now, Yeah,
win lost lost. If I said, hey, you he said
that because there's so many great restaurants in here, there's one.
Can't these places like the Michelin two star we want

(28:05):
to a place this morning, I'm tomorrow I'm gonna have
my TV twelve smoothie. You can get you can get
TV twelve trading here, so that means you get avocado
ice cream. If I said to you, hey, there's a
place here that has an unbelievable sandwich. That's unbelievable, but
you know what, you gotta do it, I'll get it
for you. You take off your shirt and run up
and down outside, yell Jet. That's probably gonna happen. Isn't

(28:26):
gonna happen? For a sandwich for a sandwich, for a sandwich,
now the shirt coming on. I mean, I'm a powerful
to try it for a sandwich in the middle of
the night. But then you can get a sandwich. Why
do it for free when you could do it and
get a sandwich, because I'd have to sell my soul
to uh sand to um perpetrate. Okay, something about the
greatness of the Okay, So so now not saying jets

(28:46):
running up and down with your shirt off, I'm gonna
do that anyway. So we've already we've already we've we
have already established you would do it. Now, it's just
what you would do in addition that sor of sandwich.
But that's I mean, that's an old joke which I'm
not gonna tell her. I'll do this, and I want
to sult things that that's always used as a stand
he'll do do you think I am? It's like, well,
what if it was a million dollars, you'll do stuff

(29:07):
for a sandwich? You you do stuff for his heir,
you would run up and down. I prove it well,
I mean that there's a large menu of things you
may or may not do for a Be sure to

It is what we are trying to do, climbing that
mount We're running up those hills, just getting shoved the world,
just shoving this down your throat, just getting click the
song and just listen to it. Keep listen the top
five song. No, It's It's and no less, it's the

(29:49):
top five song. It is unless you're talking top five
tiers for fear songs. Okay, that's a list, Yes, yes,
top five to make it no list. And he just
immediately I got you to go, uh well, all right,
I guess that that is a hot take. That is
a hot take. That is a hot take. It's one
of his favorites. He's he's allowed doing part some culture

(30:09):
to you The Jason Smith Show with Mike Carbon Life
the Blue Wire Studios here at the Win Hotel and
Casino in Vegas, having a ton of fun out here,
getting ready for the super Bowl. So many fans out here.
It's a lot of Chiefs fans are coming out here, uh,
getting ready for the game. Harmon's got all our big
wagering stuff going on. Look they're getting ready, man, they

(30:30):
got the super Bowl next year. They say, hey, let's
have some people here. Let's say what's ramping up? Talking
to people as we're standing in line to grab a
cup of coffee. Let's go for to go, get pizza
Frostburg wearing a Chargers nit cap earlier, making friends or not?
Uh go Eagles was something if I was look, man,
if I was getting a dollar for every time he

(30:52):
said that. As we took a turn walking around this morning,
I would be uh, I'd be able to buy one
of those sequin tank tops. It's like in a guy
on T shirt. It's like, what was good afternoon? Oh
you son of a good afternoon? Good afternoon? Um? NBA
trade deadline today? Last night, all the fireworks, Katie gets traded.

(31:13):
We broke it down on an NBA inside. I told
you he was going to the Sun's. Hey, he's the son.
But the Lakers, the lie wish right, weren't here last night.
I have been here. The Lakers kind of owned the
day where every single team in the NBA traded second
round picks to other teams. The Lakers have remade their
roster in a very short amount of time. They trade

(31:33):
to Rad Russell Westbrook. They're bringing in D'Angelo Russell, a
couple of other players as well. Bomba will be there
to back up Lebron, jameson swinging anybody and d J.
Clearly the Lakers deciding they need Mo Bamba, so they
go out and get Mo Bamba. Uh, he's gonna play.
Who knows how much Thomas Brian is out, Patrick Bell,

(31:55):
They said, see you in hell. You wait, you want
the ball? The bron is gonna break the record series.
This guy's not gonna defend the fade away. You're calling
for the ball. But Patrick Beverley gets dealt away. He's
probably gonna get bought out. And you know that's something
that's gonna innteresting, is the buy out market. He's gonna
be huge for a lot of these guys, Russell Westbrook
and and likely Beverly. But the Lakers go and they

(32:17):
get basically a new team. And it's the same reason
why I like the Westbrook trade, even though it was
way too late, because whether D'Angelo Russell works or not,
I knew with Russell Westbrook it wasn't working. Now you
open this up past uh Russell Westbrook to the Lakers,
is what the Lakers doing. Is it working? No, it's not,
So you need to do something else. Whether it works

(32:37):
or not doesn't matter. Maybe it does, but I know
for a fact what they were doing was not working.
The way that team was built was not working. Now, hey,
we're gonna go more big, heavy in the front court.
And like it's a big risk, right because now now
you're you're you're talking about you. You've you've made a
big change in guard. You're trying to get some bigs
in that are going to to help you out and

(32:59):
hope Lee if something happen Anthony Davis, you're a little
bit better suited for how you had to make up
without him. But it doesn't matter because this was something
that had to be done because what you were doing
wasn't working. And you can say, well, you're spitting your wheels,
but you had to do it. And I like the
guts because they could have easily sat back and said,
you know what, not our year not gonna work. We

(33:20):
don't want to trade away any more picks. If anything,
we want to get picks. We made our move for
Ruey Hachimura, and that's kind of it. But instead they
said no, D'Angelo Russell, who is still only twenty six
years old it could be a big part of their future,
and Hachamura, who could be a big part of their future.
The way they made the moves today, they almost Gotchamura
for free. So this is a pretty good move by
the Lakers. Say okay, just in case it doesn't work

(33:42):
this year, we have a couple of pieces that we
might be able to count on guys that are young,
still in their mid twenties, for next year and beyond,
because Lebron's not making anybody better, but he's still getting
his score in thirty a game. So okay, that's fine.
But now you have other guys now that you need
to come in and build around him with that can
go and help make that team better than happens when
you get younger. So yeah, I love what the Lakers did.

(34:03):
I mean, like I said, is it is it gonna
be great? Who knows? But I know the other way
wasn't good, So this way it could be better. Yeah,
well it could be better. And saying that it's gonna
be great, I mean, we've got a long way from
what it's been to being great. Right. We talked about
it earlier, the fact that Lebron sat the final minutes
of a game that you needed on the front end

(34:23):
of the home home stretch here, uh, in this little
homestand with the Thunder followed by the Bucks, assuming you
were gonna lose to the Bucks, then you gotta go
get the thunder game. And you didn't, right, you let
that one get away. So now you you move forward
and you shuffle up the roster one. It's gonna shut

(34:44):
Lebron James up to a degree. I know he was
sullen and sad that he didn't get Kyrie Irving, but
they did the best they could with the roster that
he had helped with his invisible hand in that of
Clutch Sports to create. And now you pivot and you
try to figure out and navigate the rest of this,
and maybe Russell and Hatchamura are guys that become staples

(35:05):
of what you're doing going forward. Maybe you can get
some inspired play, a little more rebounding help for the
minutes Anthony Davis can't give you down the stretch and
all those things, and and maybe you make up with
him along the way as well. But when when it's
all said and done, if you know that you're it's
a losing proposition, you got no no choice but to pivot,
