buying should be. Uh, don't guys, don't let me forget.
Tomorrow is Live drop Friday. Okay, we we weeks ago.
It was awesome a little too tough to do last
week when we were in Veagua. I mean it's tomorrow,
tie shirt tomorrow tomorrow. I mean it's East Coast midnight,
so it is Friday. Live drop Friday will be tomorrow night.

(01:08):
Suck on knees. It's big Irish, Come on, frog, all
this drop even playing. Titan has been playing. It's funny
he edited an't he but he left the big out
instead of I love it. Jets so to that's not
a drop. That's not a no, it's not it is
not just made it one Cleveland. Can you get that

(01:31):
one again? Derek Carr Jarrek and the Jets. Derek car Jets,
that's not a drop. It's not a drop it again,
Derek car Jets. No, stop, you're just saying it. He's
just saying it again. It's Derek car Jett being drop.
You're just live or is it memor X You'll never know,
you're talking about practice whatever? Tequila So Tomorrow Live drop,

(01:55):
which is this gives you a clue if you missed
Live Drop Friday a couple of weeks ago, which is
when in said of the drops that Ty Shirt normally plays,
we say them live. That's kind of what the show is.
We start talking about something and then nobody can keep
a straight face and it says, I'm gonna say a drop.
That comes to my mind is the playoffs? Is it
the playoffs yet? The playoffs? Yet it's not the playoffs?

(02:17):
Like that's a that's a segment right there. That's what
we have right there. Stop that the Darkness Retreat them
in the show is done. Not a drop yet, no
listen cutting Blankard Couch Mike, Well, we'll get to the
Darkness Retreat coming up in a few minutes. Because it
is Darkness Eve. So Happy Darkness Eve. It's gotta be

(02:37):
Aaron Rodgers Darkness Retreat Eve. I'm thinking right now, So
like Christmas Eve, it's Happy Darkness Retreat Eve. Is the
NFL is now gonna wait four days for Aaron Rodgers
to decide whatever the hell he wants to do, and
then they'll go after all the other quarterbacks. Okay, so
Rodgers wants to get traded, so now the Jets are involved,
the Raiders are involved. Okay, now Derek Cark and go
talk to people, and then Ryan Tann. So that's how

(02:59):
it's gonna go. Everybody's gonna wait now. But Happy Darkness Eve,
because we are. Yeah, I mean that makes sense, right,
especially if you're looking at the the timeline. If he's
contractually obligated to come to hang out with McAfee at
a specific time and date, Yeah, because you know, if
he comes out on month let's just say because we
could start today because he said end of the week, right,
Remember very upset that people didn't know it's the end

(03:21):
of the week. It was always scheduled for the end
of the week. So you killed your inner circle? How
were we how were we supposed to know? I could
just see Rogers in this house going, Okay, where do
I want to know? That's this is the day for
the darknor that's it's on the calendar. It's so we're
starting it that day. Uh So I would think that, okay,
maybe tonight, but considering tuesday's his big day for Pat McAfee,
So Fridays in the darkness, Saturday in the darkness, Sunday

(03:44):
in the darkness, Monday in the darkness to a point,
and then he comes out Tuesday and that's what we get.
So I'm thinking he's got to go into the darkness
at some point in the next few hours, Like maybe
we wake up in the morning he's in the darkness.
Maybe that's why. Maybe maybe he's waiting get a shill
press release to that effect or um, I don't know,
but I don't really just go stealth like he goes

(04:06):
zero dark twenty three and it's just all right, is
he in darkness or is he not? I think it's
going to stream on darkness dot Com. Now wait, no, no, no, see,
I got I got to try to type that into
my u U r L locator. We're gonna have a problem.
What's wrong with here's an idea. Now, here's an idea. Right,
you want to make it too hard for you, Here's
what we do. No, no, no, you guys want to
make money, stop Frostburg. Here's what we gotta work for

(04:27):
the Crocketts. That's what Rick Flair always said. We tell
everybody that, hey, we have a live stream to Aaron
Rodgers Darkness Retreat. You know, click on the link. We
we charge people like ninety nine cents to click on
the link to to get to Aaron. People. Sure they will,
Sure they will. Yeah, nine cents. It's nothing that cents.

(04:49):
First you pay that for a song. Right. All we
do is then link it to a room in one
of our houses that's just dark and nothing going on
in it. Doesn't. I mean, we're not promising you anything.
We're just saying we're at Aaron Rodgers Darkness Retreat and
you can't see anything. You can't hear anything. Yeah, yeah,

(05:09):
my dog Benny might bark in one of his piles. Well,
it doesn't matter that. You have to make sure you
spell aaron with one. A. If Betty barks, people think
that's a clue. Wait a minute, a dog just bark?
Does that mean jets? Does that mean raiders? Retch retch's jet?
Forget about seeing his shadow? Whatever logo he poops on,

(05:31):
That's what I do tomorrow. I bring Betty out to poop,
and I put the jets and at Jets treat and
a packers treat. I went, and then you see wherever
he goes to poop first? And that's how are you
gonna record this? Because you can go viral with this one? Sure?
Why not? Where? Where is? Where is he gonna go?
Here's a jet streat and here's a pack of TikTok stream.
That's a good idea. I like that idea. I like

(05:52):
that idea that could work. Where is he gonna go?
I like that? I gotta write that down. No, but seriously,
we'd make a lot more money with the with the
whole darkness thing, because we're not promising anything. It's just hey'
is the darkness retreat? What are we gonna get I
don't know. It's a darkness retreat. People can't be expecting
a lot, you know, so it's just nothing happened for
four days. Doesn't matter, not any that sense. Thank you.
If you just tag it as the famous Darkness Retreat

(06:15):
and you don't reference Aaron Rodgers, do you think we
could sell it? What are we here? As long as
we don't reference him, nobody can sue us, right, and yeah,
and well what if we what if we photoshop him
into other uniforms, like it's because if we put him
in the package uniform we probably would be in love.
That's been done. But if we did pretty good, Yeah,
we did it with him with Jets and Raiders uniforms.

(06:36):
I think that would be pretty cool. Because that's not
realistic yet, right, so no one can on that. We
can do now the Jets when he looks unhappy, he
looks happy or as a raider. I don't know why
that's going one of the picture. All the people have
already just presumed it's gone terribly with so he looks
salty like it's weak. Don't know why. All the thing

(06:58):
is exactly well, all the all the the the photo
shopping in you have to photoshop Aaron Rodgers and looking upset, right,
it means a jet uniform. He's upset, You mean bad
if he's a jet. But all the photoshopped into the
Raiders uniforms, he's happy. He's smiling the helmets off his head,
like I just threw three same picture. No, it's not,
it's not. It's not at all. It's not at all

(07:19):
the same picture. It's not. No, it's not. It's not.
It's not your happy, it's it's it's like when you
watch those things, would you believe that this line is
the same length as this line? Right? No, it's not
the same that's in the box this one. No, the
line is the same distance you can see it. Uh

(07:40):
So again, we'll have more from the Darkness coming up
in a few minutes, but this out of the NBA.
Look at one game left before the NBA takes the
All Star break ten minutes ago, in the fourth quarter,
Clippers on top of the Sun's four um But a
media straw poll came out today and the overwhelming favorite
for m v P once again is NICOLEA. Yokich. And

(08:04):
this is not hey, you know, here's a media This
is a Straw poll by the media, by voters, and
overwhelmingly he is the favorite for the for his third
straight Most Valuable Player, which is which baffles me that
the NBA is always about creating new stars, and okay,
you're gonna have Nicola Yokich win again. If he's ever

(08:25):
gonna win, this is the year to win because he's
doing something like this year. We haven't seen him get
to this level with what he's doing, and his team
is great, so okay, I can get on board with.
But it just makes me wish when I see the
story like this, because this is a guy winning his third,
his third straighte m v P right right now, it's
between him and honest certainly things can change, but it's
between him and nice. It makes me wish that boring

(08:48):
worked in sports. It really does, because I feel because
he and Janice are both so breathtaking lee talented. You
go watch two minutes of Nicola Yokis just passes on Twitter.
You go, how the how the hell did he see
that guy in the corner? How did you see? I
do you see? And you'll just come away amazed. But
he barely and the guys barely get any run and

(09:08):
they only get run from serious NBA fans and and
on and on TV shows, and it's only for a
couple of minutes because they're just sort of there, right,
the personalities are Finally, I'm not saying you have to
go out and be all kinds of controversial. But Yoki
just goes and does his thing. Okay, he plays for Denver,
never plays on the West Coast, Janice, he goes and
does his thing. He plays for the Bucks. Uh, they're

(09:30):
both just sort of there. I wish boring worked. I
wish it did. But can we even have a fifteen
Can we have a twelve minute conversation about Nicola Yoki
before people go, yeah, boy, really all this on yokis?
You know? You for you have a couple of minutes
and then it's like, okay, we gotta move on. Because
people don't watch the games. People don't watch the Bucks
play all the time. People don't watch the Nuggets play.
It's not like when the Lakers are on and everybody's watching,

(09:52):
or the Celtics are on or big superstars. I know,
people don't watch. So it's I get I get the news,
and I what interr me is what I read about
the next day, and Janie and and Yokis never say
anything they're never involved in, not even a controversy, but
anything that you can have an opinion on other than
these guys are great. It really It makes me wish
that boring worked in sports, but it doesn't. And that's

(10:14):
why a guy like Nicola Yoki is on the cusp
of winning his third straighte m v P and how
much basketball conversation is dedicated to Yoki. We talked more
about Alex Caruso than we talk about Nicola Yokis. That's
how it works. I wish. I don't know that that's true,
but I wish boring worked. But to your point, consistency
what it? What do you need to do with those guys? Right?

(10:37):
Jannat will occasionally give you a one liner, and that's great,
but it's all about how do I get better tomorrow.
That's a great message for the kids. But in terms
of selling any kind of content, nah, it's just not
controversial enough. And consistency on the court continually putting up
triple doubles if you're Yoki or or Joannest. I guess

(10:57):
Jannest gets talked about today a little bit because he
left the game with a wrist injury for a spell.
So that's something to watch going forward. But otherwise, unless
you're going after one of these milestone records or you're
they're standing atop the mountain in June, it kind of
goes into the ether. Al Right. We don't talk about
a lot about regular season m vps unless we're talking

(11:19):
about guys that didn't win championships and we're trying to
justify where they are on the mount Rushmore's or whatever
ranking lists that you're putting together. Right Kareem abdul Gabbard out,
he's eclipsed by lebron as the all time leading scorer.
We start adding and going back into the rest of
his resumes with m v p s, with his titles

(11:42):
and all of those things. And in the NFL, like
who who really cared about m v p s except
we're talking about when Aaron Rodgers brings up h and
m v P Award and it's like, well, this guy
had this many and this guy had this many, Like yeah,
because you're you're not chasing the ring at that point.
It's the all right, let's you justify where you are
on that next tier and with your kitchen unless they win.

(12:05):
These are great and we'll always celebrate him as an
individual player, but they haven't won it. And for Johannice,
he's got one, all right, go do it again. And
beating the bulls is a nice step, but uh, you
know you gotta do more. No, and and and that's it. Look,
I I get it. But even if he does more,
are we ever gonna talk about him like we talked

(12:25):
about Lebron We can talk about him. If you talk
about Zion Williamson or John Morant or Jayson Tatum or
Chris Paul, We're just not. We're just not. And it's
it's it's it's it's really something that the NBA has
gotta be saying. This is guy, it's gonna be within
m v P for the third straight time, and and
he can't get any run. And as much as as
great as Johanna says, yeah, Yanna's had fifty, what else?

(12:47):
Who is it? They would points, Okay, great, I mean,
I it's it's really the NBA has got to say
our new stars, Wow, they really just I mean, boring
doesn't sell. It's it's really difficult, but you can't. You
can make a lot of things work in sports and
and and bring people and bringing popularity out. You can
make controversial work. You can make positivity work. You can

(13:08):
make uh, you can make some sort of of involvement work,
and any kind of of criticism of the league or
just hey, what I love about the league of just
putting yourself out there. You can make any of that work,
and any of that can but it's just nothing. You know,
it's like it's it's it's Mike Trout. It's what we
don't talk about Mike Trout at all. What does the
guy do? The bit, Oh, he's gonna try to get
Otani to stay. That's the most commercial. That's the most

(13:30):
controversial thing he said in the last year plus make
to stay, which is not controversial. But but that goes
back to the same point Jason. It's like, all right,
they're consistently good in the regular season. We're a culture
about winning. You know. Aggregation is great. I mean, think
about how much different world we lived in because now
it's it's microwave society on steroids with Twitter, TikTok and

(13:52):
everything else. But but think of the world back when
cal Ripken was going for the all time games record
with it we care the same way. No, right, no,
we we were breaking down all the analytics. Bad balls
he swung at, or balls he couldn't get to in
the field in the six, seventh, eighth, and ninth innings
because he didn't take a day off, well, because you

(14:13):
had still should he still play? Is he still is?
Now we've multiplied that all over the place. But but
that we wouldn't be celebrating. And I can tell you
that it would be a different, completely different lens on it.
It's real, It really isn't. I really I wish. I
wish boring worked, but it just doesn't. I wish it did.
I wish for these guys that did. So you win
the third MP. It's great, you have third m v P.

(14:35):
That's great. Hey, the Lakers getting in the plan where
they're letting going into this game that that's what are
they back? Are the Lakers game? Of course? The back
dial it up at eight seven seven, No, I'm just
kidding Twitter, And how about a fresca? Mike gets swollen
down The Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon.

(14:58):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart
Radio app Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with
my best friend Mike Harmon live from the tire rack
dot Com Studios. Happy Darkness Eve, It's darkness Eve. We're ready.

(15:22):
Aaron Rodgers holding the NFL hostage going into his darkness retreat.
Everybody get ready. Yeah, there's no hurry. Four days in darkness.
We can milk it. I think there really is. I
think the arrest of the NFL is going Come on, dude,
really a bleep in darkness retreat? Come on, man, This
is where I get when when you hear reports like

(15:42):
Peter King. Oh by, then we'll get to Peter King's
latest report in a minute, because boy is it's something
is when when when you hear say boy, people wonder
if Aaron Rodgers is more trouble than he's worth. All Right,
here's a guy that's had from the end of the
regular season all the way till now. It's the it's
the middle to the end of February, and I'm going
on a darkness retreat to find out what I want.
If you're an NFL team, do you sit there and

(16:04):
look at each other and go do you really want
to go after this guy? Or do you want to
go after somebody else? Do you really want to go
after this guy? Do we really want to? And meanwhile,
knowing full well that everything is at a stop right
now because Rogers need to decide, So the teams that
are most need of a quarterback want to know is
he our guy? Because the Jets are gonna go after
him first, the Raiders are gonna go after him first.
When that doesn't happen, then or he says either I

(16:27):
want to stay with Green Bay, I'm retiring, or I
want to trade, then things can happen, and then Derek
Carr can get involved and then potentially he can wind
up getting signed. But everybody's waiting for that. So I
get it. I get it when people say is he
really worth it? Because for me, it's hard now, it's
it's really difficult. It's hard for me to sit back

(16:48):
and want him to be the Jets quarterback like I
do because I do because I know we can win
the super Bowl with him where wherever we got everything else,
he's they's still that good, but he makes it so hard.
I'm like, this is the guy in the ayahuasca and
the retreats and being upset with the media and being
on the Inner Circle and and all these other things,
and all these conspiracy theories that he wants to throw

(17:08):
out there and now here. I am. I'm gonna gum
up the works of the NFL because I gotta go
on a darkness retreat. He's the guy who whatever self
helped trendy fat is out there. He's in on it, man.
He's that. He's that celebrity early adopter that's like, Oh,
I heard this is really good. What is it? Oh,
it's it's powder from another country. It's it's powder from

(17:29):
the temples of Machu Pichu. Well what does that mean? All?
But you're you're supposed to just sprinkle it on your
forehead and you wind up and and it just it
heals all your skin and you go back to twenty years.
Oh it sounds great. I gotta do it. He sounds
like that guy nout, sound like Patrick Mahomes trying to
describe it a a little bit. You can print the stuff
on your face from Matu beat you and I throw
touchdowns and win the Super Bowl. I mean that's who

(17:50):
Aaron Rodgers is. Anything that's the latest trendy fat or
something that makes me seem irreverent. I'm in on it
because that's what i want. I want people to think
I'm a reverend. So here i am on a bleeping
darkness retreat where I'm going for four days not have
any light. And this is what I'm going to do.
And if he's trolling all of us and there's no

(18:10):
such thing as a darkness treat and he's making everybody everything,
I'm just gonna be hanging out at home, man, playing
video games and watching movies. Uh, I mean this is
still him. This is what I want. I want everybody
at my beck and call, and I would have figured
this out. That's how are you all really hard? Man?
They all make it really hard. The Hermitage Retreat Retreat

(18:31):
Center in Guatemala is ready for you. Is that a
real place? Yeah? I mean not not Guatemala, I mean
fascinating about the darkness. Guatemala is real. Wait, so you
can go to Guatemala and go to a darkness retreat.
The activation of the pineal gland d nt he whoa
whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. I that's what

(18:53):
I said, you know, I believe you. I'm I'm I'm
thinking that makes me a little wary about going there.
I don't know if that's what I want to do
with my weekend. There's no substances, no plant in medicine,
no tobacco, no drugs, and no coffee allowed, no coffee
in order to reveal the inner light? Can I just

(19:15):
do it at my house? Seriously? Can I just do
a darkness treat? If I want to just turn the
lights off all weekend and just sit on mike? Do
you think of three days darkness retreating Guatemala? Why do
I have to go out of the way to Guana?
Fly first of all, Google flights to Guatemala, see how long?
See how much that? And then But but really, can
I do I can get the same experience in my

(19:36):
house if I turn the lights off all weekend. Your
house is way more dark with all that METS crap.
But your three day dark retreat you get two nights
before your retreat and one night after. Private room and
food is included. Six days total, just eight. No, there's
something wrong here. That's it that says you gotta be

(19:57):
the mostly booked out to or two months at least
in advance. Wow, did you okay, okay, did you? You said, yeah,
But I'm trying to figure out how to how to
find the light in my own life. So maybe Aaron
Rodgers isn't isn't alone in this quest to find inner
piece and you know, figure out what he wants to

(20:18):
do with his life. Why has it got to be
a dark room? That's a it's a whole thing. It's on.
It's not a light retreat. It's a darkness. A motel six.
Don't even leave the light on for you. That's the
point is he wants it quiet, he wants it dark.
Better not go to New York. Then there's that too,

(20:40):
that that's a whole other kind of noise as we know.
But but thinking about it, you know, you you want
to have one of those life decisions. What do people do?
They take a walk down by the water. Maybe they
go on a nice long drive. Now they usually have
a soundtrack that they've added, maybe a playlist chosen for that.
Some people I know go to McDonald's. There there is
anything donald right back. Wait a minute, now, wait a minute, now,

(21:04):
the McDonald's grimace is there at the door. Ronald in
the dark Okay, it was in charge of this place. Okay,
so Mayor I need a place to stay. Sure you would,
because that's how Mayor mcchee sounded, even Ronald in the
ball pit. What my guys are doing all the topiari's

(21:26):
and stuff. No, wait a minute, now, wait a minute.
Let's let's let's make this could be a thing. Though.
Would I stay at McDonald's overnight or would I just
keep going? If you have n't No, I've never slept,
You've never you've never never spent the night, and I
don't believe that never happened, never happened. Can we call
him McDonald's on errand and asked what it would cost

(21:48):
to stay in there for the night. I did want
to spend the night in a burger king booth. I
stuck in a burger king No, no, no, no, no,
to amaze, no know. I did spend the night because
I was flying to one of my friend's weddings. And
he did it the last minute, and and our flight
went out and there was a there was a weather delay,

(22:10):
and so I got in. It was in in St. Louis,
and I got into St. Louis, had to fly from St.
Louis to Ohio and Uh. The flight into St. Louis
like eleven o'clock at night. The wedding was like at
ten o'clock the next day. Louis. No, no no, no, it wasn't.
I had to fly through St. Louis to get to
Ohio because that's where his his wife was from. So
we fly into St. Louis and Pam and I get in.
It's like eleven thirty at night and there's no flights

(22:32):
taking off, and we got to be back at the
airport at six in the morning to fly out so
I can get to the wedding in time. So we're like,
I don't know what to do. So walk around he oh,
look this is it's burger King. Nobody's here. So we
slept in the We slept in the burger King in
the airport in St. Louis, on the you know, on
on on the seats, and and we slept there. Six
o'clock the alarm went off. We got up and we

(22:54):
went and got on the planes went. The King was
not there. No, I would ask for a for a
better bet other than the UH than to sleep in
the booths. But it was actually wasn't that bad. Did
you start singing Saturday night in Toledo, Hio? Is like
being nowhere at all? Well, John Denver, everybody, come on,
I did not do that. I did not do that.
And if they had it at the time, I'm sure

(23:16):
I would have gone to sleep. Go and have it
your way. Okapp that song is you know, that song
is like an earworm that like gets in your head.
You can't get it out of it going to the jet.
So no, but spending the night now, let's get back
to spending night at McDonald's. Yeah. Would I be able

(23:38):
to access food if I spent the night or they
shut everything off? And I gotta think they gotta keep
someone there to keep you quasi honest. So you're gonna
have to pay an hourly wage plus Oh no, no, no,
if over time for someone'll be there, and I mean still,
they're gonna leave the friar on in case you get
hungry in the middle of the night. But that's like
a king who's on a budget. Do I need Do

(23:58):
I need someone there? Or can I just say, Hey,
I got a bunch of food. I can heat it
up in the microwave if I want to. You don't
want to eat that in the microwave. No, man, make
that fresh. I don't know. Do I want to be
a McDonald's with somebody? I don't know. No, I want
to be from there. I want what the run of
the place. I want by myself. I could do crazy stuff.
I could be like Hugh Grant and you could be
a franchise. Actually, I can just run around singing, jump

(24:20):
from my love and lip sinking it. You know, that's
what I want to do. I don't want people there
with me. Just picture your mouth in the ice cream machine.
Come on, man, you flow him on? Man, you think
the ice cream machine is gonna work? If you were McDonald's,
if you were a franchise, you're damn right. There be
a working that ice cream vendor and and mechanic would

(24:42):
be out there welcome. Can I take yeah? Can I
get a shake? Hang on? Sorry, our shake machine is
not working at the moment. Can I can't get you
something else? That's like every visit to McDonald's shake machines
is not working. Why do you keep going back? Then?
Shake machine is not working? Well? Just one of those
things right where if I I get lucky in my
first ask, I can get that end a big mac.

(25:04):
You say your prayers before you go, yeah, like your
sweet baby. Please let me get me shake machine be
working when I bull up at McDonald you're doing grace
like your rickey Bobby. Hi hi ye, Yes, I'm here
for the McDonald's Darkness Retreat. Sorry, sir, the machine is
not working. You want to come back another time? Let

(25:26):
me get plant based nuggets. But but say you became
a franchise e. Say you became a franchise would you
be able to allow the Darkness Overnight package for your location?
I like that, the darkness Overnight package. That's the way
to make money. You'll have the smells of the McDonald's. Okay,

(25:48):
you know, but we're gonna make some so you have
the smell now, But you have to eat some food
has to be Why Why would I be at McDonald's breakfast,
said McDonald's. The real question is, yeah, if this is
a darkness retreat at McDonald's and it was really dark,
would you be able to get yourself around? Do you
know the place that? Well? Oh yeah, sure, oh yeah.

(26:10):
I at the end, everybody gets a sheath cake. I'm
picture of my local McDonald's right now. I know I
might walk in. I could walk to the left. Ear
I would sit right here. If that McDonald's gets robbed
in the next couple of weeks, we got number one suspect. Well,
I know exactly how to get around. They're not gonna
rob McDonald's. What do you take all the Happy Meal toys?

(26:32):
He took all the Happy Meal toys? What if you
dropped the Big Mac in the deep friar. No, like
that hasn't been done. Batter that up and drop it
in the fryer. No, but I'll tell you the nice
to be Well, if I go on a McDonald's Darkness Retreat,
I would absolutely say I don't need a toy in

(26:53):
the Happy Meal. You can keep that for the kids.
I don't want you to run out of toys. What
about the No, no, no, I don't need that. Know
you keep the toys. Just give me extra fries. Give
me extra fries. That's what I want. Three day darkness retreat.
It's definitely slash cleanse at the McDonald's Darkness Retreat. That now, now,
now that's going, you're welcome. Let me call you know what, hey, hey,

(27:16):
tell me I don't add anything to this show. Listen,
call the packers. Get in touch with Aaron Rodgers. See
if he wants to go on a weekend McDonald's darkness
retreat with me. See if we'll we'll do it to you.
I will film it. Well, no, but I get this
stuff can happen, crappy little dark hole. The stuff I
could teach him about McDonald's. Where's the Ayahuasca te No,

(27:36):
that's that's not here. Coke, there's piping hot coffee. Can
you call the hermitage in Guatemala for me? And seeing
Aaron Rodgers is checking in the studio allows me to
call out of the country. That's a fair point. No tea, diet, coke?
Have it? I mean the stuff I could tell them
about McDonald's all weekend because you know, he doesn't eat McDonald's.

(27:59):
But we got beat learns doesn't because paste. It's not
cool enough for him. It's not cool enough for him
to go to McDonald's. How do you Because to me,
that's his guilty pleasure because that's where he does all
the stuff that's antithesis of the normal man. But they
in their cover of darkness. Man, he's eating a quarter

(28:19):
pounder with cheese. How many bites? I can just finishes,
so nobody knows my secret. I'm a closet. Do you
think he's going in the dark? Whatever? My next meal,
whatever I grab. It's a big mac fantastic with cheeseburger.

(28:39):
Does that come with fries? Going to visit rad find man,
I just grabbed a hot apple pie. I don't want that.
This retreat sucks, man. He really just took us into
a deep dark turn with that apple pie thing. So
happy darkness, eve, every Let's find out what you sure

(29:03):
you're not at? Iowash as far as you know, I'm not.
I am actually right now though, having my McCafe left
over from yesterday. Yeah, I got the McCafe going on here,
A little bit of coffee from yesterday, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because I don't drink the whole face it's too much caffeine.
So if I get a coffee drink, I drink like
half of it one day and half of the next day.
It's too much caffeine. Be sure to catch live editions

with my best friend Mike Harmon Life the Tirac dot

(29:44):
com studios. Uh. Interesting development happening right now at PA
number four. U c l A in trouble fifty eight
fifty seven against Stanford with about seven minutes left to go.
Stanford's eleven and fourteen. This year U c l A

(30:05):
having all kinds of problems with Stanford, this would be
a terrible loss for the Britie. Given Sunday, himI Hawk
has uh seven out of nine from the free throw line.
He is your leading scorer for u c l A
with twenty four points. Uh. But again a niptuck game
with Stanford. Will have more on this coming up in
a few minutes. But uh, it's now the end of

(30:28):
the first half of the NBA season, or well really
the first two thirds, third All Star Break weekend. Sure,
eventually we're gonna have the All Star Game right at
the end of the regular season and we're gonna go
into the playoffs. The team to watch out for coming
out of the All Star Break and It depends when
he is ready. He spoke today had his introductory press
conference and talked about how excited he is to be

(30:50):
with his new team. Watch out for the Suns. I
know we've watched Kevin Durant sit there in in Brooklyn
and underachieve, and you wonder where his basketball love is.
Is he still loved the game? Why couldn't he make
it work with Kyrie and Harden and Simmons? And is
all of this still good? Trust me, he knows now

(31:14):
he's in a great spot. He never wanted to lead.
He just wants to go ball, right, That's what he wants.
That's why it didn't work in Brooklyn. He would he could,
He couldn't. He couldn't tell Kyrie, do just play basketball?
Just play it. No, he couldn't do it. But now
he's at a point where not only do I not
have to leave, I can just ball. I don't need
to do it every night because Booker can score forty
any night that we need to. I can come in

(31:34):
and just be myself. And Booker is still establishing himself
as a superstar where he's like, Okay, I haven't won
titles or NBA finals, M v P like Katie. I
got to the finals, I didn't play very well. Okay,
yes we need k D. And he's here for right
now with us, and and I'm on board here for
the short term watching them play. When Katie starts playing,

(31:55):
and he's still a little bit ways away from playing,
he's not even at the point where you can play
five on five right now, so he's it's gonna be
a little bit for you get back on the court.
When he gets back out there, you're gonna watch the
sun start beating up teams like the Lakers did when
they got pau Gasol. It's gonna be immediate, like the
Lakers were found where we're kind of uh, just moving along,

(32:16):
you know, trying to figure out the post Shack era
with Kobe and how good can they really be. And
they make the trade for pau Gasol in the late
odds and that jump starts their next mini dynasty. And
the Lakers, I think they want like eleven in a row.
When they traded for pau Gasol, they put him right
in the lineup and immediately you saw dividends. That's what
it's gonna be for the Sons with Katie. He's gonna

(32:38):
come into the lineup and suddenly, boy, they won tonight
one fifteen. Wow, he had thirty eight Booker at thirty five,
was unbelievable. They're gonna beat teams like that, Like the
Nets would win games once in a while when Katie
and Kyrie played together and were motivated. But you have
guys who will keep Katie honest, Chris Paul, is there
the leadership you need. This is gonna be a team
that's just gonna start blowing people out. Mike in the

(32:59):
second half of the season to watch out. Yeah, I mean,
because it's been interesting to hear the comments from both
Hardened and Durant, and both are kind of shrugging their shoulders. Yeah,
it would have been fun if that would have worked,
basically saying blank you Kyrie without saying blank you Kyrie.
Although Durant also said he was kind of blindsided by

(33:19):
the Kyrie deal and then well when it went into
his process to to get himself extricated from the situation,
and you heard Kyrie, Yeah, I'm glad he I'm glad
he got out. So just a weird circumstance of those
three passing through town but went together dominant with Durant
now going to the Suns. Remember they didn't have to

(33:39):
give up DeAndre Ayton, So you've got four guys. When
you got Booker now healthy again, and Chris Paul, you
get to navigate his minutes. You get to back those
down a little bit, which means we're not going into
the typical end of season early playoffs. Like all right,
Paul's had to carry a heavy load, which means he's
gonna break down or be in a effective uh if

(34:01):
he is on the court with Devin Booker. He missed
a bunch of time. They played pretty well without them. There,
what eight and three in their last eleven games, including
the win tonight or no, they lose tonight, so seven
and three. Sorry, So it's it's pretty good position to
be in to be able to add this guy. Now.
They've already changed the TV deal, so they're gonna be

(34:23):
on when they get out of the All Star break.
Which that's the presumption that Duran will make his debut
with the Suns. I mean, all signs point to two
good things ahead. Yeah, Look, it's gonna be the second
or the last third of the season. I should say
there's gonna be a the second half. It's insane. But

(34:43):
the two biggest story lines we're gonna follow are the
new look Lakers and watch the Sun's. Are the Son's
as good as the Nuggets? Are the Sons as good
as the Celtics. Are the Sons as good as the Bucks.
That's gonna be your big last third storyline because trust me,
when Katie shows up, you're gonna see this team just
at another level. He's exactly what they need. He's a

(35:04):
great risk to take. They didn't have to give up
DeAndre Ayton, who now hopefully he's a little bit happier,
uh with what's going on now with the team. But
just watch. It's gonna be instantaneous for the Sons and
suddenly they're gonna be part of the national conversation every
single night, Sons, Kadi Son, Son, Sons, which is gonna
be pretty awesome. So it's not just gonna be lebron
It'll be lebron K D the same time zone. Lebron

(35:26):
kde lebron K D is gonna be big for the
NBA the last day. And they didn't have to give
up Ken No, no, they can't. They kept the mayor, right,
Kevin Johnson. They kept the mayor didn't have to give
him up eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight Chambers,
Oh my god, he would take so many shots. Tom Chambers. Uh,
coming up next? Boy, do we have some NFL quarterback
