(00:21):
R you're listening to Fox Sports Radio. I mean, I
I just have to just address it right away. I
spoken into the universe. Getting there. It is inevitable, Like, yes,
the Jets are getting Derek Carr. It's it's gonna happen.

(00:43):
It's look into your heart. You know what to beat
or whatever. Whatever the star wars all those years, we're
getting Well, he thought you were just trolling him at
that point. Now we're getting Derek Are We're getting Derek
car We're live for the tirect dot com studios. Direct

(01:04):
dot com will help you get there an unmatched election,
fast free shipping, free road hazard protection, over ten thousand
recommended installers. Tirect dot com The way tire buying should be. Well,
we all wanted some movement on the quarterbacks, right, what's
gonna happen. Aaron Rodgers, I assume is fully in his
darkness retreat. Now we will try to commune with Aaron
Rodgers and do a darkness Now we're gonna do it. Well,

(01:26):
maybe we get into the same darkness retreat. If we're
in the same darkness retreat, is it the one in Guatemala?
You finally booked those rooms like I asked you yesterday.
I don't know where it is. I don't know. It's
it's kind of like when Eleven goes into the upside
Down and she can somehow talk with the with her
friends when they're in different locations. That's kind of how
I figure being able to get together with Aaron Rodgers

(01:46):
in the darkness. We used to do that with cans
in a string. Okay, well it's it's it's two thousand
twenty three now, so there's a little bit more stuff
out there. Well, I mean you to kill Frostburg in
print earlier today. I didn't threaten to kill him. I said,

(02:07):
if you keep sending me Derek Carr as a jet gifts,
we're gonna fight and there's gonna be knives in San
Antonio is very aware of Mike. Don't I'm not saying
we're going to I'm not saying we're gonna kill each other,
but there's gonna be blake. It was becoming a knife fight.
It's gonna be black. But you don't you don't have
to will be blood, you don't have to die, and

(02:29):
it could be just you know, hey, we cut and
we see and okay, so you go down for attempted. Hey,
come on, man, the Nicks, Nick Nick the best we've
ever been. We're six games over. I'm gonna be working
on in certain Smith into that new NBA soon enough,
but we'll get in and at as a night that. Yeah,

(02:50):
we all wanted movement on the quarterbacks, right. What's gonna
happen Aaron Rodgers now? And there's been big things going
on with him today, some insider reports that will just
make go what the hell? But the big news in
the NFL Derek Carr is going to visit with the
New York Jets. Derek Carr. Derek Carr was a great

(03:12):
fit on Pittsburgh. This is not New York. No. If
Pittsburgh hates you know they do, they still weren't even
on the board. And Greany do you want to talk
about you could have really cashed in. If he would
have said shown up as a member of the Steelers,
you would have gotten rich. If you put me even
a hundred dollar bet would have netted you a lot
of I'd have been able to do the Aaron Rodgerson
to go into Pittsburgh and go I own you, I

(03:35):
own you like I'd be able to do that. Might
have been able to get a championship belt produced really fast,
to be able to walk around like that. But now
the Jets are gonna get Derek Carr. Okay, so now
I've had some time. I've had some time, a couple
of hours. Would you do how Sandwich movie? No? No, no,
How do I convince myself that I can like this,

(03:55):
that this is like Nestor says, it could be Baker? Okay,
well no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, wait,
and it's still not him yet. Okay, just just hang on,
it's not yet. He's gonna visit, all right, He's gonna
visit and then we figure it out, and then they
won't let him out of the building. They're gonna fill Yeah,
he's the guy that don't let out of the building.

(04:17):
All the other guys that let out of the building.
He's the guy that doesn't get out. Okay, uh suddenly
the Jets of the car Cosa from season one of
True Detectives. He doesn't get out of the car Cosa.
All right, how do I convince myself? I like this? Okay,
there's some things. There's some things Number one, Number one,
if the Jets get there a car he's not Zack Wilson.

(04:37):
Which is when you like, if you look the flow
chart when you say, okay, is is the quarterback you signed? Good?
You know? And then then it points the points the
arrow down and it says is your is your current
quarterback Zack Wilson. Yes, it's good. No, Well then it's
not good. So that's kind of where i'mot want one
decision point to get there. That's pretty good. He's to

(05:00):
have a couple of other twists and turns. You just
went in a straight line. That's that's the that's the
first one. It's your current quarterback, Zach Wilson. Yes, Then
a smiley face, and then we have the degrees of
how good or poor decision is He's not. Look, Zach
Wilson is absolutely and and and I don't know really

(05:21):
the the the the image of Zach Wilson versus Kenny
pick It around the NFL is just amazing. Oh no, no,
Kenny pick It. Steeler fans like, no, he's our guys.
People stinks. So maybe eventually they come to the conclusion
that pick it stinks. But in the interim, you know what,
he's likable. Zack Wilson is not a way you know

(05:44):
what I like, Mike, you know what I like? I
like touchdowns, That's what I like. And you know what too,
could be that guy Zach Wilson will not like what
do you know about touchdowns? So he's so he's not
Zack Wilson, all right. So that's so that's one thing
they can get me. They get me excited. He's not
Zack Wilson. Number two, I won't have to give up

(06:04):
anything but money because for all the other guys, it
comes with a big cost, Like Lamar Jackson comes, I
mean Lamar Jackson, but Lamar Jackson comes with Okay, yeah,
you'll get Lamar Jackson, and you got to give him
a ton of money for a long time and hand on,
and you got to give up a couple of first
round picks, which is the big thing, right, I don't
want to give up first round picks. It's just about money.

(06:26):
So whatever means any good, you can, right. But here's
the other thing with Aaron. With Aaron Rodgers, Okay, you
gotta figure out the money. Okay, we figed the money.
But it's also gonna be a couple of first round
picks for Aaron Rodgers. So this at least if it's
Derek Carr, he doesn't come with okay, we have to
give up first round picks. We don't. We don't want
to go to first round pick until the Lakers have
a first round pick. Yeah, I I'm trying to tell

(06:49):
you things that are gonna make me excited. Now, shut
up and listen to me. Tell you what's gonna get
me excited about Derek Carr. Okay, shut up and left.
You sound pretty excitable. Lets up, I'm channeling you from
the promo that shut up. That is a good promo.
Shut up and listen. I'll tell you why you un
Listen to every word I have to say. I'm excited

(07:11):
about Derek Carr. I'm excited about it. These reacts up
about it all right now, so so so that's too so,
so that's too. All right, keep going, He's not Zach Wilson, right,
He's not Zach. Well, that's the biggest one. The fact
that that was first on the metals stand, that's that's
in the gold slot is problematic because and I won't
have to give up anything but money. Okay, So now

(07:32):
we got the first two. We could talk about how
complicated other banks may get to redeem credit card rewards,
or we could talk about how we discover you can
redeem your rewards for cash and any amount at any time.
I mean, talk about amazing learn more, discover dot com
slash redeemed rewards terms they do apply. So that's two.
Number three, And here's where things really fall off a cliff, right,
Here's where the excitement just goes. This is where it

(07:53):
gets back. I'm ramping up. I'm ramping up. I'm ramping up.
You've been off a cliff for like five minutes. The
chain to the New York accent. He's going to have
to get in good with the New York media. Well,
I mean that that's probably I mean for me, that's
number one because here, because I mean, Wilson's gonna battle
him like hell, that's what he said, right, make that

(08:13):
guy's life hell great. Thanks. I appreciate that competition on
the field. I think about things like this, right, like
like when you're the captain of a team, uh in Canada,
of a hockey team. I remember reading about Mike Keene
a long time ago that he was such a good
captain for the Canadians for a long time. One of
the things he did was he actually learned French so

(08:36):
he could talk with the media. That was right, which
which who who does that? Right? I'm gonna learn to
speak French so I can answer in French or understand
questions in French because he's not a native French speaker,
which I thought is pretty cool. Right now, there's now
this is a little bit different obviously that but but
if you start, if you go in with a New
York accent, the New York press is gonna love you

(08:56):
and maybe they will take it a little bit easier on.
You know, the guy you got comes in and he
kind of talks like us, So I kind of like that. Yeah,
but he had that southern accent when he was why
I know it was in Vegas. I didn't get the
whole thing, the whole but maybe it was all Elvis.
It was a whole big thing. But now he's got
an accent like us. So I I think let's let's
take it easy on the guy instead of running a
big thing in a New York post saying, Hey, this

(09:16):
guy's a stiff and he sucks. How about we run
something else. We run something else about the Knicks and
how much some of those guys in that team are
stiffs and that they suck and the only good guys
Jalen Brunson. How about we do that instead. Let's let's
do that for that. So there's your three reasons, and
you see that right away it falls off that cliff
after we don't have to get up draft picks fun
New York accent. That's where it goes like Tom Cruise

(09:39):
doing some bass jumping for your next role right there.
Uh yeah, that last one, though, I I can one
up you by by having him bring his brother as
council Yerry. Okay, so now his brother speaks for him
hair Right now, this is the last one that at

(10:01):
I don't want to say me a little bit. I
gotta I gotta know that because it's it's just it's
the and this is this is the fourth one. Right,
So we got he's not Zack Wilson right, which we
know is most important. Don't have to give up first
round picks New York accent. And here's a big one
which could conceivably happen, which could have put all of
this in motion for Derek Carr, is that Aaron Rodgers

(10:22):
has already told them no pre darkness, like before all
right before I'm going into the darkness. It's not gonna
be the Jets lights are going off boom because that
would make sense, right, because that would a car's visit
is now, right, like not three days ago, when you
would expect a team to pounce on on Derek Carr
when he's available and you can call him right away.

(10:43):
And why are there no no free agent visits lined
up with the Jets right away? If Derek Carr is
your guy, why are you not calling him on Wednesday?
You're you're a free guy on when we're called, We're
coming in. We're bringing you in tomorrow. We love you
suddenly now right before the darkness retreat. Hey, Derek Carr's
coming in. I wonder if the Jets were just told
no pre darkness, and that's Aaron Rodgers doing the Jets

(11:03):
of solid. So I have four days of thinking Aaron Rodgers,
Aaron Rodger, and he comes out and oh no, man,
that's not happening. So that's the fourth thing is that
Aaron Rodgers has already told them no, and the Jets
want to get that veteran quarterback. And of the veterans
out there that are available, who's the guy that's the
most durable. Who's the guy enough to worry about? You
gotta worry about Garoppolo being healthy, gotta worry about Tannahill
being healthy. Again, none of these guys I want, But

(11:25):
these are the guys that are out there. Derek Carr
is the one guy pretty healthy for the vast majority
of his career. The one year he got hurt, they
could have gone to the a f C Championship Game.
They're having a great year. So those four things, those
four things, I can think of those and get somewhat
excited about Derek Carr being a Jet. Yeah. I think
the last part of it is an intriguing factor. I mean,
we'll get into the Aaron Rodger reports from earlier today

(11:48):
to extend this topic, because well, that means he's he's
on the move. Somewhere. Uh, not to get spoiler alert
for that conversation, but to to say that it's done now.
I mean, look, every team is interviewing nine billion coaches
and coordinators and whatever else they He'll not have a
couple of quarterbacks out for a drink and and and

(12:08):
to sit down to talk through it and see where
where the fortunes lie. I mean, Rogers may have made
no decision. My guess is he went into total darkness
and hasn't said anything to anybody. Yeah, but maybe he
just said, hey, guys, I just wanted don't go crazy.
All right, I'm gonna help you out. Don't go crazy
for me. Don't wait for me for four days. Don't
say I'll wait for you. Not I'm not. Don't wait

(12:29):
for me, don't wait for This is not a long
distance relationship in college where hey, we're gonna be loyal
to each other. Right, yeah, right, listen, don't wait for me.
Go half your fun. Man, I'm going to darkness. This
is Aaron Rodgers. He's gonna tell everybody to wait on him.
He wants this all to revolve around him. The happiest
day of his world was when Tom Brady filed his
retirement papers, because now this whole cycle becomes about him,

(12:52):
his descent into darkness and the rising from the ashes
or whatever the hell happens there. Get you, Yeah, I can't.
I can't get past more than like middlingly excited. I can't.
I can't. We've talked about this, We're talking about and
and Rogers at this point. Who knows how long where
the tail is, how along the tale of his career

(13:16):
is here, how much last year is indicative of what's
to come, Like Russell Wilson, as we talked about Denver
and and what goes on with Sean Payton and did
he want to be there? Is Rex Ryan showing up
all those great stories of intrigue beyond Tom Brady And
even then it was all right, is Brady truly on
the decline thrust? These guys are a bunch of jags.

(13:36):
There's nobody to get excited about that's actually hit in
the marketplace, which is the way it's always been for quarterbacks.
We had a couple of guys move and we got
excited that it was a brave new world. Guess what,
it's the same crap. It's always been the team that
they had him doesn't want him, they don't want to
pay him, or they stink. Fox Sports Radio that Jason

Friday here on Fox Sports Radio. You shut up. You're
gonna keep yelling that at me. I am I really
residuals of that Derek Carr conversation. He's gonna resonate in
your brain for the rest of the night. I'm dealing
with the fact that we're one. I'm going to get Derek.
Are dealing with that? Okay, I got a lot of

(16:09):
stuff on my plate right now. I'm the hole though,
as we talked about, not the worst option for you.
That's right there. Though it looked they could they the Jets.
That's reason five is why Derek, why I can convince
myself I like Derek Carr because the other option could
be No. We really believe in Zach Wilson, going to
give him another shot to be the quarterback here in
the Jets. That could be the fifth one. That's right, okay, okay, alright,

(16:31):
wait wait wait wait all right, wait wait wait wait
wait okay. Maybe I was a little maybe I was
a little a little forward here. I shouldn't have said
what I said. Let's not go crazy. I just want
to see style it back. Zack versus Baker's reminiscent mean
you mean you mean in a in a team? Come on, man,

(16:52):
I will slash your tires. You say that again, No,
come on, maybe don't don't put that stuff out there.
It's enough that we're gonna probably get Derek Carr. Okay,
so don't put that Okay, Okay, So that's all right.
That's there. That's the one thing. Because you've already apparently
put it out in the universe enough, the Jets are
gonna talk to him this weekend. So congratulations, thanks for that. Well,
but here's the thing I'm sad about though, Like, if

(17:13):
that was my one thing, right the eleven eleven make
a wish and your birthday wishes and all that, if
I used it all up to get Derek Carter the Jets,
that would really suck. Well, Hey, you use your energy
for whatever you want to. Man, If you use it up,
use it's like Iron Man in this suit Man. Eventually
that power gets down like zero percent. So I'm going

(17:33):
to go to sleep now, Jarvis, Jarvis. But look elsewhere
in the NFL. A really weird story, something that it
took its own it took its own direction over the
last couple of days, and now we have a crazy solution. Eric.
The enemy has left the Kansas City Chiefs and he

(17:54):
is now the new offensive coordinator with the Washington Commanders.
One of the big reasons ostensibly that he has taking
this job is that he is going to get to
call the plays because he never was a play caller
with Andy Reid, because Andy Reid called the plays. Uh,
Eric the enemy is getting a promotion, entitle, contractual structure,
he's getting a pay raise, end. He is going to

(18:16):
get to be the primary play caller on the staff,
and he's gonna gets fired. Yeah, yeah, exactly, Hey congratulations.
Now it's it's a gamble. It's a risk for b
enemy because he's joining a team where hey, all right,
how much more time does Ron Rivera have to be
the head coach here? Because if Ron Rivera is out,
I don't know the next guy coming in is gonna
keep Eric b enemy. So it's it's a it's a risk,

(18:38):
but it's so desperate now in that because he knows, Look,
I don't know what I can do with the Chiefs.
I win two Super Bowls and I keep getting passed
over for a head coaching gig. So if if this
is the whole narrative that you gotta go be a
play call, you gotta call players. You gotta go. I've
heard that so many times the last few days and
people saying it like they're the authority. You gotta be
a play you gotta gotta call plays, You gotta call players,

(18:58):
you gotta call play. It's about coming out out of
the weekend, out of the Super Bowl that he had
spotted what the Eagles didn't do in a game against
Jacksonville is related to motion men and picking up their
coverage and that led to breakdowns and what did they do?
They exploited that multiple times to great success. I know
we talked about it early, Rob Parker. There's a promo

(19:20):
running on the network with that. I mean that that's
got to be pushed as much as anything else. But unfortunately,
what you're tied to Andy Reid, you're not getting credit.
But it's it's so incongruous that you've got these other
guys have gone on to other jobs, and other guys
have become head coaches on the Andy Reid coaching train, right. Yeah,

(19:41):
So it's just still it begs the question, what are
we missing? Right? We know about what happened in college, right,
we know about that. It's like what else is there?
Because he's interviewed a lot and hasn't walked away with
the job. What am I missing? Well, luckily I have
a solution for that as that. But you know, to
to to come off your thing of you know, other
guys getting gigs. And when I hear that he hasn't

(20:03):
called plays, he hasn't called plays, like that's something that
someone here's and they're just parroting it from side. He's
gotta call plays. Uh. Plenty of other guys have gotten
head coaching gigs without being coordinators. In the National Football League,
plenty of guys have. Right, we watched Joe Judge go well,
Bill Belichick staff. Yeah, come on, the guy's a special
teams coach. He's gonna go to was he was? He great? No,
it was disaster they had to get rid of and

(20:24):
bring in and bringing Brian Dale. But special team guys
have still gotten chances and they've succeeded or they failed.
But it doesn't matter because guys have gotten chances. It's like, oh,
you know he's got he's gotta call place. No, that's
a load of crap, right, you know he eric the
enemy is being made to jump through hoops that nobody
else has had to jump through. Okay, now to be

(20:46):
fair on and here's where I have the solution. Now,
to be fair, what have you heard about the enemy
the last few years? Okay, he doesn't interview well, I
got well, I gotta think by now he interviews. Well,
he's been on five thousand interview and I think by
now he knows how to ace the interview. But he
doesn't interview well, and he doesn't call it and he
doesn't call plays. So that's could be what's keeping him
from getting the head coaching gig. Now, on the other side, okay,

(21:06):
so maybe that is. But on other side, it's maybe
he's just not being taken seriously enough. Hey, he's you know,
even though he's in the o C, we don't take
him seriously enough. Maybe it is about race. Maybe it
is because he's black and he's not getting the opportunities
that other that other people are getting. So here's my solution.
This is where the NFL has to put on some
big boy pants and say, you know what, we're gonna
investigate this. We're gonna talk to teams, we're gonna talk

(21:29):
to people around the league, and we're going to come
out with whatever they they figure out after talking teams.
Why didn't you hire ARPN Because it's hard to make
people hire you gotta hire this guy? Well, no, I
want to hire who I'm comfortable with. But it is
crazy that the guy keeps not even going in at
the end, making it to the end once between him
and one other guy. So what the NFL needs to do?
Because this is a big story, right, this is a

(21:49):
big story. You have a guy that's a that's a
two times super Bowl when I've been to three Super
Bowls as the offensive coordinator. Players love him, and he
can't get a head coaching gig when other guys who
you don't even know they're names are getting head coaching opportunities. Right,
So the NFL, if they say, you know what, this
is a big deal. We want to make sure that
players are being treated right and coaches are being treated right.

(22:10):
Why is Eric the enemy? Why does he not have
a job. Here's what we're going to do. We're gonna investigate.
We're gonna talk to teams, we're gonna talk to players.
We're gonna figure this out and then we'll be able
to know exactly why. And I don't know why the
NFL doesn't announce this already because right, but the lawsuit, right,
it is, it's part of that. But the NFL would

(22:30):
look good in doing it and saying, hey, we're gonna
look into this for Eric b enemy. We're going into
this for you. Right, at least you get an answer,
at least you get you get you get answers, and
you can choose to make them public or you can
choose to not make them public. And at least then
we know that, hey, the NFL is not just turning
and turning into turning a blind eye too. Yeah, Eric,
well what do you want me to do? Can't make

(22:51):
a guy, can't make a team higher? Here, they want
to know. How about you stand up and say, hey,
let's look into this. We're gonna investigate. We do. You
have independent investigators for many things in the NFL, right sports,
as many independent We're gonna look into this. We're gonna
look into this. So look into Eric the enemy and
come out with the reason. You can make it public.
You cannot, but you can make it known to him.
You can make it however you you figure it out,

(23:12):
you can fig you can at least make it look
like we want to find out why he's not getting
a gig and then you know, eventually things will get leaked,
we will find out and and it will be able
to be able to get an answer on this because
maybe we find out, hey, he's not getting the fair
shake that everybody else is getting and the NFL has
got to do better than that. And it was this
team in this team and this team in this team

(23:33):
that didn't talk to him as much as they should
have or put together a sham and whatever it was.
The NFL needs to look at that and say, Okay,
for this guy, this is what we found. Maybe they
find out and you know what, here's the thing. Here's
some things that came out in the interview that we
didn't like. Maybe he didn't want the gig, maybe he
didn't get we didn't get a good we get didn't
get a good feel from whatever it is. But we
need to find out because this is just Hey, we're
just gonna keep, you know, tamping this down and we're

(23:55):
never gonna get an answer. And for a guy again,
I'm saying, for a guy who's been an o C
for a team that's one two super Bowls, have been
to three and five years and he can't even get
down to being a finalist for a head coach. Okay,
at some point he's gonna interview. Well, he's gonna tell
you what you need to know. He has a plan.
All the players love him. Mahomes says, we don't. We're
not super Bowl champions without Eric the enemy. They're all

(24:16):
saying blowing things about him. Andy Reid wants him to
go get a chance, and why can't the guy get
a chance? You give chances to guys and they they
flame out after a year. Why doesn't he get one?
It needs to be more than just I don't know why.
Maybe it's maybe it's because he's not he's he's not
head coaching material. Maybe it's because he's black. But we
gotta find out right it's it's too much has happened
now for him to say I gotta take a lateral

(24:36):
move and I gotta go over and I gotta be
the the O C for Washington and I gotta go
do this when when it's with Sam Howell, I might
have one year to make it work with Sam Howell.
Seriously that this is this is my my chance to
tell every show, everybody in the NFL, I can be
a head coach. Come on, man, that it should it
shouldn't be at this point for him, Jason, maybe he
interviews for jobs like Brennan and Dale from step brothers

(24:58):
oh Man, Well, that would that would hurt. But one
of the component parts to it, it's just when we
go through the annals of the last few years and
jobs he would have interviewed for. Usually you're you're looking
for a coach to come in and what's a pretty
bad situation. And I gotta imagine there are a couple
of instances, and again it's all purely speculation at this

(25:21):
point that he just didn't want to become one of
thirty two, recognizing if he takes the wrong job that
he's not getting the second chance. So why would you
leave Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and what you have in
Kansas City for that? And again this is me just speculating,
just like we're doing with every other part of it.
He can interview the race issue, et cetera. That because

(25:44):
other African American males have gotten coaching jobs, right, I
know it's not where it's to everybody's level of satisfaction,
but we have seen African American males get jobs in
the NFL, So, um that that there, so we we
can go team to team and for some of them, yeah,
you might wander aloud based on past comments, bass behavior,

(26:08):
whatever else, if there's more to it, and speculate on that,
no question about it. Jerry Jones, UH and others and
you know, wax poetically on on a lot of these things.
Uh in the larger, larger scale here these last couple
of years. But when we look at the enemy, the answers,
I don't know, right, because you can bring up the

(26:28):
past transgressions like, well, guys have gotten jobs having done worse, right,
guys have gotten multiple opportunities doing other things and get
the next chance and move on. You know, I had
someone because they decided to needle me. Retweet me. What's
happened for Matt Naggy since he got fired by the

(26:48):
Bears in aptitude with the Bears and then watching m
in Kansas City and now he's gonna be probably the
new O C. Yeah, and he and he and and
he'll get a head coaching job opportunity again before Eric
he had him. I'll look what he did. He went
became the o C in in in Kansas City, but
he didn't call the place, so it doesn't matter to
see you move the goalposts for for coaches, for whatever reason.

(27:10):
And that's why this would be a great It would
be a great thing for the NFL to do this.
Something everybody could stand up and say, hey, they're doing
the right thing looking into this, right because the NFL
that they're not saying we know what we're gonna find.
We don't know what the answer gonna be, but we
got an independent investigator. It's gonna look into it. We're
gonna find out what we find out. Now, what you
have to do is you have to tell Eric the
enemy you want this. You gotta be okay with whatever

(27:31):
the NFL comes out, whatever are an independent investigator comes
out with, if you trust the independent investigator to do it.
Because the independent investigator could come out and it could
be great stuff for you. It might also not make
you look great depending on what it is. So you
gotta be okay with that. If you wanted to be public,
we can do it. We can look into this for
you and see what's going on, and talk to teams
and and get transcripts and all that kinds of stuff.

(27:51):
So it would be a little bit of a needle
to thread on it but boy, just just think about
the reaction if the NFL said we're gonna look into this,
well based on the the floors lawsuits, So I don't
know where the independent guy comes yead, but but be
enforced too is different when a guy's suing the league,
you know, but that's already in process, So I don't
know how that works. Yeah, how you trust the independent

(28:13):
because that's always been the problem with the NFL and
frankly any other business. Yeah, who hired him? Who's paying
the check? Right? But this is this is not where
the NFL the independent investigator. The NFL is not in
an antagonistic relationship with the other like Brian Florest is
suing the league. So now the league is okay, So
now how do we respond here. We don't want to
lose this lawsuit, like that's that's a big deal, right,

(28:35):
we don't want to lose we wind up losing this.
But the the enemies, we're gonna find out, like we're
just gonna find like, no one's gonna get fired for this.
No one's going to It's just why do we not? Hey,
you know what we found out teams are not taking
them seriously enough. So now we have to put some
things in place them it to make it better, or
the legitimately find something you're telling me that doesn't get leaked.
Someone wants to be a hero, Well you have to

(28:57):
go through. Well, it's it's not what you're saying. You know,
it would be anonymous, what wouldn't lost It's not like no,
it's not like, it's not like this is the story
that people don't know. It's not like it's something Oh, hey,
we got emails from Bruce Allen. Oh wait, there are wait,
there's thousands of them and and what what what John
Gruten had to say. No, this is a pretty public thing,
so you can only do I think you can only

(29:17):
do so much damage with it, you know, being it's
it's very public wise b enemy not getting a job,
and it's it's something that i'd love that Hey, listen,
we're gonna do this, and we're gonna look into it
and we're gonna see and we're gonnat least have answers
for it. I'd love it. I'd love to see him
do it. It's not gonna happen, but I think that's
a better solution than just shrug your shoulders and go Okay,
call Gray plays with Sam how it's even get a

(29:38):
gig next year? That's that's that's a tough one. Well,
he did get an increase in I mean, is is
level right? All of that stuff that you that you
started with, and if he like, like we said, Ron
Rivera probably doesn't have much time left. So if they're
not winning right away, he may get that interim tagging
an opportunity to win the job in Washington. We we

(29:58):
could talk about how complicated other banks make it to
a deem credit card rewards, or we could talk about
how we discover you can redeem your rewards for cashing
any amount at anytime. I mean talk about amazing learn
more at discovered dot com slash redeem rewards terms they
do apply. The Jason Smith with Mike Harman Live from
the Direct dot Com Studios. We could talk about how
complicated other banks make it to a deem credit card rewards,

(30:20):
or we could talk about how we discover you can
redeem your rewards for cashing any amount at anytime. I mean,
talk about amazing learn more at discovered dot com slash
redeem rewards terms they do apply. Well, coming up next,
I could be a jerk and just say hey, Aaron
is coming back to Green Bay next season, and you're like,
what what what what? And then oh, no, Aaron Jones
is coming back to Green Bay next season. But this

(30:42):
says a whole hell of a lot about what the
Packers are planning with Aaron Rodgers. That story is next, right,
and now I got your attention. Yeah, that's coming up
next right here Jason and Mike Fox. Be sure to
catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show with Mike
harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven pm. Pass it Fake?
All right, This is Jay Glazer. And you may know

(31:03):
me for the world of football or fighting or even
shows like HBO's Ballers. Well you don't know is for
my entire life. I have lived in something I refer
to as de gray depression anxiety. So now I'm coming
out with a new podcast, Unbreakable, a mental health podcast
with Jay Glazer, where each week when we talk about
mental health, I hope to describe it, give it words.

(31:25):
Listen to Unbreakable with Jay Glazer on the I Heart
Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts,
Fox Sports Radio, That Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon. Who is it? He sounds sexy. I
love it, Live Drop Friday. Aaron's coming back to Green Bay.

(31:47):
We know this officially. No, he hates the Packers. And
again it could have been a jerk and oh no, no,
I'm sorry. It's Aaron Jones, not Aaron Rodgers. But yes,
big news around the Packers today is Aaron Rodgers on
his darkness retreat. And again next hour we will go
into our own darkness treat see what we can find.
Maybe we can watch out now, take care of me where.

(32:08):
But the Packers are keeping him, and he is taking
a pay cut. They are reworking his dear They also
want to rework David Botiers deal. Um, as you heard,
the packers have said the last few days, Hey, we
gotta we gotta save some money, we gotta figure things out.
This is a normal thing that teams do. However, look
into this. We also saw that report today from an

(32:30):
NFL insider that said that the Packers have had it
with Aaron Rodgers. They're they're disgusted by his behavior. They're
preparing for him to go. Um. Okay, that's something that
someone who's covered the team is saying. And if that
was leaked or or that that's we want people to
know we're kind of done with them. But this is
actual things that are being done too, ready for the

(32:51):
team for the post Aaron Rodgers regime. Because Aaron Rodgers
coming back. This is a difficult thing to you to say,
All right, Rogery back, all these weapons are back. We're
gonna figure it all out. They need to keep weapons
for year one of Jordan's Love. You want to make
sure this guy succeeds, right. You can't go through a hole. Hey,

(33:13):
Aaron's gonna leave, but this year is gonna suck and
we're then we're gonna be good. No, No Packers fan,
two Packers want to know, Hey, if if we say
goodbye to Aaron Rodgers, we can still be pretty good.
We want to have a Geno Smith like year with
the Seahawks. We know we're not gonna probably win the
win the division, but can we get into the playoffs?
Can we be in above five team? Can we be

(33:35):
that kind of team? And how do you do that?
You make sure you keep enough weapons to keep Jordan's
Love upright and to be able to have him have
a productive season. You want to keep your two running
backs and Aaron Jones and A J. Dillon. Great, you
want to be able to bring other guys in and trading.
Aaron Rodgers is gonna free up a bunch of cash.
Watch what the Packers do when Aaron Rodgers goes, because

(33:57):
now it seems like it's it's it's a fatal company.
He's going to leave. They're going to move on from him,
and he's gonna be playing someplace else. The Packers will
take the strategy of the Patriots the first year post
Tom Brady or when when they have money. It's going
to be all right, now that Brady's gone, we figured
out what we want to do, and now we spend
all kinds of money. Now, they didn't spend it great,
but they went on big time spending sprees for wide

(34:18):
receivers like a Galaoran Brunnan, Hunter, Henry and John hu
Smith and guys that only worked a little bit. But
they went on the big spending screen. Yeah, they wanted
a big spree, going, Okay, we're gonna spend now we
have money. Right, we're not paying Tom. We're doing the
different things differently. Now we have money, and the Packers
are gonna wind up having money and they will go
on a spree this offseason, so they put enough weapons

(34:39):
around Jordan's love that he has a great possibility to succeed.
This is the beginning right here. This Aaron Jones restructuring
taking a pay cut to stay tells you that they're
moving on and they're getting ready for the post Aaron
Rodgers Era and and we gotta put Jordan's Love in
a great spot succeed by getting as much playmakers around
him as we can. I like that, I do. I
can't wait to have the Leo du April and going.

(35:00):
I'm not blaping leaving Gift going once again. And as
he emerges from darkness and decides he he likes the
comforts of Green Bay. Maybe he likes the comforts of darkness.
He that never comes out. Maybe he just stays that
darkness retreat forever. The potential is there, right because that
is always secret option. See walk away and walk the
Earth like Caine and comes made a lot of money.

(35:20):
You're not walking the earth. You're in the darkness retreat.
You're in the darkness, you know what I mean. But
you're in the darkn in your mind. You could be
walking anywhere, you could be. You could be walking on
the moon like you're in the police. If it's dark,
how do you know he's not walking away? He could be.
He could be. He could be, because that's that's option seed.
All of it is that he does decide you know
what I'm done, because he's teased it and talked about it.
You know the reports out of Green Bay where they

(35:43):
weren't happy with his commitment is physicality ready. They had
a bunch of young guys come in that he wasn't
there to work with, and so perhaps the there's mutual
hatred going on there. But let me play the heel
for a second. What if they're clearing up a bunch
of money because they know they need help to help
Aaron Rodgers. So you can come back off djured, But

(36:06):
we still like you when you can play. And Aaron Jones,
you cleared up three million dollars. Now we can go
into the market. We can find one more piece. They
didn't go out and get anybody when they had him
last year. Hey, we signed you this contract. We have
room for anybody. These guys now open up more more
room for me. Yeah, but that's not enough for I
mean to just just just Aaron Jones taking a little
bit less in box, are taking Aaron Jones. That that's

(36:27):
the big you're talking about. We're gonna free fifty million
dollars from us this year. That's a big deal. That's
a bunch of players. Yeah, wherever that gets dealt, If
it gets dealt, packers are gonna be on the hook
for a bunch of packers. Are praying for the Jordan's
Love era, and it's happening this season. Go by those
Jordan Love rookie cards, is what you're saying, darkness or not?
I know you have a bunch of Jordan's Love jerseys. Uh,

(36:49):
rookie cards, A couple not not too deep. Coming up back,
we ask a big quarterback question. This is Fox Sports Radio.
