(00:24):
listening to Fox Sports Radio. Hello, Welcome inside our four
of The Jason Smith Show with my bas friend Mike Harmon.
Somebody came on the floor. We're broadcasting live from the
tire act dot Com studios on Live drop Friday. I'm
not even supposed to be here today, tire act dot Com.

(00:44):
I'll help you get there. An unmatched selection, fast free shipping,
free road has protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers.
Tire act dot Com the way tire buying should be
bare liveing O high. I don't know if I'm but

(01:07):
I'm somewhere in that zone frozen. Yeah, but that's part
of the okay, but we just want to be open.
Then the loser goes in the fire. Uh so be
aware of that. I've never seen a pair of that
had an assend them. This is what happens on Live

(01:28):
Drive Friday. Instead of just inserting them where you need them,
we just say them like whenever we feel like it,
Like and now they're banging each other, throw them a
big fat one. Throw them a big fat now. You
gotta do it like Susan Walden. He did to throw
them a big fat one. And now they're banging each other.
I gotta do it like Susan Walton. Uh Um. This

(01:55):
is the story about Aaron returning to Green Bay, because
it's happening now. If I was jerk, I could have
said a few minutes ago, Hey, coming up next, Aaron's
going back to Green Bay. We haven't oh wait then,
yeah no. But that would just piss people off because
that's where people used to teach stuff, like in the
late nineties and early two thousand's, and it just really
pissed me off. Like there was a show I wish

(02:17):
I couldmember when it was on. I think it was
Oh my god, I'm dating myself now, but I want
to say it was like Sporting News Radio. I want
to say they had a they had an NFL Sunday show,
and I remember I listened to it a couple of
times I had this big like whip around wrap up show,
whatever it was, and I'm again, I'm going back, like
twenty years. And this is when I would go back.

(02:37):
I'd listen to a bunch of different radio and hear
what people are doing and all this stuff. And they
did this and it drove me crazy, like things say,
oh and so and so is on for the game
winning field goal, and uh, you know here it is
from forty five yards out and if this kid goes,
it wins the game. And they would do and they
kick is up and it's and then it would go
to commercial and I'm like, oh, come on, man, you're
you're just you're just you're just you're holding hostage a

(03:00):
result of something that happened just to get me to
listen to the commercial. So I wouldn't. I wouldn't. I said,
I'm gonna go find someplace one of the Buddy Show.
The show was something no because I turned off. I'm like,
I'll find it someplace else. If you're gonna you could
tell me if it's good. You can tell if it's
good or not if it's good. So anyway, I was
always I've always partial that going now you're just you're

(03:23):
just you're just withholding information from me because you feel
like it, right. I just always understand what I said, Hey,
Aaron's coming back to Green Bay. And then what happens,
Oh yeah, people tune in, but then they get mad
because like, oh it's Aaron Rodgers, not him, it's the
other errand they had they happy with those guys. I

(03:44):
hate those guys. Well, if they were really hate there,
everybody already hates you, everybody anyway, they wouldn't they wouldn't
give it them. If they really loved Aaron Jones, they
wouldn't ask him to take a pace decided he wanted
to stay where he is there was a cost associated
with it, and said, hey, we can keep you here,

(04:04):
take a little less. Remember it's tough out there for
running backs. Yeah, but I I don't. I don't know
that that's how it works. Hey Aaron, when I'm a
meeting with you, yeah great, Hey we love you the
other day. Yeah I I I think they got to
go the opposite of Corbyn burns that he might as
well have been standing there with the flamethrower that DiCaprio had.

(04:26):
Then Corbyn Burns t J Milwaukee, laying down the l
a law with Corbin Burns on. Well played. But Aaron Jones,
and you think this is not about Aaron Rodgers. This
is about Aaron Rodgers. And this is how you know
the Packers are ready to move on and they're good
at trade. Aaron Rodgers after he gets out of the

(04:47):
darkness retreat, all right, they bring Aaron Jones back. And
Aaron Jones has been a huge piston in that engine
the last few years, and he's taking a pay cut
to do so, right, and and he's happy. Ever, everybody's
happy Aaron Jones is coming back. The Packers put out
a statement saying, listen, we have to make sure we
have all the weapons we can and and and with
Aaron and a J. Dillon, we feel like we're in

(05:08):
a great spot. Is that the one they fed through
Bob McGinn. They it might be It might be well
that the same statement. We'll get to Bob again in
a second, get to Bob again in a second. I
just wanted to see if those were different states. Just
just to patients, patient, I thought you would learn from
our time in our darkness treat a few minutes ago, patients, patients,
that it will come to you. I came to uh
in my moment of clarity fast. So so Aaron Jones

(05:31):
is taking a pay cut. They're also gonna ask David
Box you already to take a pay cut other players
as well. This on the heels of the report that
Harmon just brought out that the packers are supposedly quote disgusted, disgusted,
that disgusted, that they're done with Rogers and does not
coming back. I mean they're disgusted with him, and they're
done with him there, They're absolutely done. They're done, done, done,

(05:53):
done without move on, which is you know, he was
on a podcast McGinn was with a guy named Tyler Done,
so saying dune dune done is really a good thing.
Technically I was under unger and you were overdone. Or
technically were you under over and I was overdone? No?
I think technically you were under unger and I was er.

(06:15):
So year seven for Aaron Jones and and and the
packers are are looking to to you know, save money,
to get out there and spend some cash. And you
have this report that the packers are supposedly frustrated and
had it with Aaron Rodgers. This is a Look, and
this is a guy who is a big Packers beat
reporter that is putting this out an um, Look, we've

(06:36):
told you this is where it's been headed for Aaron Rodgers.
And for all the Hey, Aaron's the one making the decision.
The Packers are kind of pissed. They're ready to go.
They're ready to trade Aaron Rodgers. And when he comes
out of his darkness retreat, that's exactly what's gonna happen, now,
is it gonna be? Because they're disgusted with him. I'm
sure they've had it with his act and he wasn't
as elite this year as he was last year, and

(06:59):
they need to make a move. But more importantly, more importantly,
the bigger piece of evidence is what they did today
on the field, and that is we need to save money.
Why because we gotta go out and get players. Well
wait a minute, why did you do it last year?
Well we didn't have the money. Well why because we
paid Aaron Rodgers. So wait a minute. So they're gonna

(07:20):
get rid of Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, and they're gonna get
rid of a chunk of money that that they owe them, right,
and they're gonna have money to go out and get
free agents. Yes, this is why the Packers are doing
exactly what they're doing. They know that if they're gonna
turn the page on Aaron Rodgers, they can't have a
year where hey, guys, guess what, We're just gonna suck.
What do you mean now, I'm sorry, we're gonna suck.
But it's you know, it's Jordan's loves first year. We're not, no, no, no.

(07:43):
They need to make sure that they have at the
least a Seattle Seahawks with Geno Smith type season where hey,
we're better than we thought. We know we're not elite,
we know we're not gonna be great, but hey, this
is more of a reload type year and we can
be really good for a while. The pressure are on them.
If you're gonna finally move on from Aaron Rodgers is
immant to be successful in that first year. How are

(08:06):
you successful? You make sure he has as many weapons
as possible. So what the Packers are gonna do is
they're already saving money so they can go out and
get weapons to surround Jordan's Love with. And you're gonna
see a spending spree once they do move on from
Aaron Rodgers. Whatever draft picks they recoup, they're gonna have
money to spend. It's gonna be like Belichick did two
years ago, where it was, Okay, we're out of the

(08:27):
Tom Brady business. We're into something else. I'm gonna spend
a ton of money on a bunch of guys. Now,
it didn't work out well because Belichick didn't really evaluate
the talent, like a Glory didn't work out and John
who Smith didn't work out and Hunter Henry. But they
went out and spent a lot of money on a
lot of players. That's exactly what the Packers are going
to do because they need to ensure that Jordan's loves

(08:47):
first year fills everybody with confidence that, hey, the front
office knows what they're doing. They moved on from Aaron
Rodgers at the right time. They would not be worried
about restructuring and all this stuff if they were gonna
keep Aaron Rodgers because they signed with that big deal
last year. Did they go out and get anybody. Nope,
they said, Aaron, here's your team, go do it. We're
paying you a lot of money, go do it for us.
Now they're restructuring. Now they're gonna try to go get

(09:08):
other guys in. This is all part of the big move.
Aaron Rodgers is gonna move. They're gonna have a lot
of money left over and they're gonna spend to help
Jordan's love. And Aaron Rodgers is gonna bang his head
against the wall, going, you wouldn't go get me these
guys last year, Aaron, because you wanted fifty million dollars.
It doesn't matter you didn't get me these guys this year,
and his head's gonna explode. It's gonna be awesome. Well,
their job is to work around. Whenever they decided to

(09:29):
pay him, it was a two way street agreeing to
that dollar amount, was it not? Oh yeah, sure not
in hindsight, but but it's also a guy coming off
of uh, you know, two m v P seasons. When
they paid him, it was okay, yeah, well, I mean, look,
I understand the vexation of Hey, he's on his wandering

(09:50):
the desert with Miles Teller Run instead of showing up
at mini camps and stuff. I have to cough, give
me just second, let me clear my throat. Well okay,
I had to do that real quick. But because it's
just chokes me up inside that all these years together
and all that success is hanging in the balance of

(10:12):
a darkness retreat. Uh. You saved three million or thereabouts
on Aaron Jones. Whatever you get to do with box
tru to bring him back. Still very capable, you know
what he can actually get on the field. So and
you have the growth of Dobbs and Watson. We saw
what Watson was the second half of the season. Some
excitement there. So you clear up some money there. If

(10:34):
it's not an irreparable situation, then sure there's a little
bit there. And maybe Aaron because he has talked about
the money right, Uh, in terms of all this, because
he's thrown everything out there like he's throwing it all
against the wall of you know, I don't want money
to be an issue, and that's stay, go trades, whatever
the case is. Uh. And you know, option see as

(10:56):
he retires because he finds clarity in the darkness. But
fifty million dollars will probably lure him back to one
of the other paths to make a decision. But if
he wants to restructure, push money out and smooth things
to give them options, I mean that's still there, right
Potentially there. It hasn't come up yet. Otherwise you don't

(11:17):
have the team feeding mcgin information like it, because I
don't think he's in the inner No, I don't thinks.
Are you okay, buddy, but you're you're right? Yeah? Did
you get poisoned by something? Honestly, I think I'm having
an allergic reaction to a little bit to the coffee
I'm drinking. Okay, well, okay, number one stopped drinking that coffee. Yeah,
I put it to the side. I was stopped. I
think that then, and then maybe you'll be Suddenly all

(11:38):
of the it just kind of started to seize up
a little bit. I'm okay, I think in the retreat, well,
I mean, look, that cat might have scratched me, and
now I got problems. You have two cats. So as
soon as you guys introduced the cat to thing, you know,
it all took a dark, deep, dark turn for me.
But the reality is, you've got so many different permutations

(12:02):
to this that still exists. But all those all that
to say he finally has worn his welcome thin after
all these years and all the threats of retirement and
talking about the meaning of life. And they went back
and watched all the McAfee stuff and said, what is
he doing? What are we doing? Where are we doing

(12:23):
this again? Didn't we do this with Farve? What are
we doing? Why are we going down this road again?

(14:50):
what's happening, buddy? Not aleck of a lot chentlemen? How
are you guys throwing up this? Find Friday holding up
very nicely? How did that holding call change things? Holding
calls didn't change nearly as much as people will be
led to believe, except if you were in the state
of Pennsylvania. The bottom line was Kansas City was gonna
win that football game, whether it ended regulation or went
to overtime, given what we saw from the Eagles defensively

(15:12):
in that second half. And if we want to isolate
a single call in any game, we there's a lot
of revisionist history that can go on in football baseball, basketball,
or any other sport that your heart desires. But now
you're ready because you're jumping into the XFL this season.
Right there. There's gotta be a lot of money going
down to the XSL. There'll be plenty of money that
will move some of these numbers if professional batters want

(15:32):
to get involved, and none of that money will be mine.
And it's not exactly a large limit sporting event, nor
will I be tuning in for any of the opening
weekend festivities. I love the thinking outside the box with
some of the rule changes spring football in general, but
there comes a point where you reach a saturation point
for me not going to delve into another football league
in the wake of the NFL closing up shop for

(15:53):
the season. Is that that countdown clock is within twenty
four hours. At this point, we'll be talking about final
scores tomorrow unless we won't. I've got to do it
to Jason, what what odds are we at with Derek
Carr to the Jets, because it seems inevitable to me,
even though he's trying to push it back on the universe.
I mean, when you look at some of the numbers

(16:13):
out there, we know he's had a second visit there
with the Jets, but I don't think it's a fatal
company that he ends up in New York. Earlier on
in the process, Carolina New Orleans had also shown interest.
And when you look at car at this point, he's
at average NFL quarterback, I mean, salary wise. I know
a lot of people will point at the kind of
cap hit there, but when a quarterback like Gino Smith
is trying to command thirty five million, the cap continues

(16:35):
to increase. I mean, Derek Carr is gonna find himself
slotted in that quarterback twelve through quarterback fifteen. And if
he finds himself in the right situation, Look, he can
be a game manager. He can make some of the
big throws. I think he got a bad rap out
here in Vegas playing behind one of the worst defenses
in the NFL, going back to his rookie season in
two thousan fourteen. All right, so does that mean that
the the overwhelming favorite Freren Rogers now is still the Raiders?

(16:58):
Like is he gonna walk out of the darkness wearing
a darker steat wearing a Raiders jersey? Now? I mean
he still opts on to end up back in Green Bay.
I mean, that's the reality of it, and we'll figure
out exactly if Rogers takes his talents elsewhere, how all
of this unfolds. But there's such big price tags attached
to all of these things going on that I don't
think there's going to be nearly the same level of
seismic movement people want. Obviously, it's fun to talk about,

(17:20):
but more often than not, sometimes things end up settling
back into routine and we'll see. I just don't know
if the direction the Raiders want to go, Derek, I mean,
excuse me, Aaron Rodgers makes a lot of sense anymore
than the Jets mortgaging, you know, unborn children elsewhere in
that organization to try and get a four year old
quarterback gets them over the top. And meanwhile, Jimmy garopp
flows there as the third man in Hey. I mean,

(17:43):
I look when you see Jimmy Garoppolo and what he's
been able to accomplish in the right offense. He can
go out there and command to presents, do some of
the things that you're looking for, and it's not going
to come in at King's Ransom, especially if you're a
Jets fan and like you are, Smith, that roster is
extremely talented, and I don't think a quarterback is going
to make would break them. If they get someone that
can make the reads, make some of the simple throws.

(18:03):
You just can't have rock bottom play like they got
out of Zack Wilson last season. Todd Ferman with us
here The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmen Live from
the tirect dot Com Studios. All right, So, if that's
just going on with the quarterbacks, we saw the NBA
trade deadline. We're hitting the the the All Star weekend here,
I mean outside of DK Metcalf getting an NBA contract
the next few days. Um, what have you've seen? What

(18:25):
has been the big movement on team since the deadline
has come. Obviously you had a lot of movement in
terms of the Western Conference when the Dallas Mavericks go
out there and acquire a Kyrie Irving, the Phoenix Suns
try and bolster their roster with Kevin Durant, and you
try and figure out what that packing order will be
in the West. Obviously one through eight, depending on who
ends up filling those seed lines gonna make for pretty

(18:46):
compelling theater when it comes to the postseason. But in
terms of the odds, the Denver Nuggets become the big loser.
We've seen their price drift out from about two and
a half to one to three and a half to
want to win the conference. When you start to look
everywhere else, I mean the Lakers to one if you
believe in magic and fairy tales, that they can find
their way into the eight seed and knock offf Denver
like they've done in the past. It's actually the Phoenix

(19:07):
Suns moving into the role of favorite and a shade
less than two to one. So a lot of moving
pieces plenty to watch, and it should be fastening to
see unfold. But you do wonder depth pieces for some
of these teams if it can just be the superstars
to carry them where they need to go. Clearly, in
the eyes of oddsmakers, Phoenix has moved themselves into the
team to beat role. Do you have a line of
demarcation in mind as you're looking at the NBA right

(19:30):
now in terms of teams that maybe can get themselves
into a run. I mean, we've seen before teams kind
of come from off the beaten past, and I know
the NBA has obviously been a top heavy league, and
it's getting continue to be so with some of these
halves and have nots. I mean the Celtics that right
around three to one and the Box at five to one.
They seem to be on a collision course in the

(19:52):
Eastern Conference where there's not much depth the West. I
think you can make a compelling case for a number
of teams to come out of the Western Conference. So
I wouldn't be in to bet a lot of these
futures right now. I mean there's a better opportunity sometimes
with some of these series and money line rollovers, especially
in the West, where there doesn't appear to be a
truly prohibitive favorite, at least one of the best of
seven series. Todd, So let let me ask you. Now,

(20:13):
you get to a weekend where here's you know, we
have you All Star game, the NBA isn't playing and
we gotta but like, what what do you do? Do
you do you like take any any downtime at all?
Is there downtime for you? Like? Okay, people, I'm not
betting the xfl is. Other people can do that. Like
do you take some time away or is it just
still Hey, you're you're trying to find something. No, it's
very much to grind. I mean for me, I typically

(20:35):
start all my football prep when spring practice gets going
and earnest in April and May. Summer months are a
little bit slower once the win totals will drop. You
ride the way of football, and for me, you handicaps
NASCAR in the NHL. It's a little bit of a
different grind than dealing with college football and the NFL
based on the position, strength and everything else that comes
along with it. But the calendar rest for no one

(20:56):
in this business, and depending on where you're able to find,
you know, opportunities to earn, you just shift your attention
the thought process that comes along with it, and then
you try and figure out where you can get a
day here in a day there to maintain some level
of mental sanity. All right, So who are you picking
for the Daytona? You know, tough race typically to handicap.
When you talk about superspeedway racing, I mean we get yes, yeah,

(21:18):
six instances of this all year, twice at Atlanta, twice
at Daytona, twice at Talladegas. So when you try and
go down the odds board and look for a little
bit of a long shot. I mean Austin Dilan was
able to win here in July. Now, I know the
Daytona five hundred a little bit different in terms of
what kind of chaos you're going to see in the
final lapper two. But for me, you can look at
some of the best manufacturer prices that are out there,
and I think Bubba Wallace right around three to one

(21:40):
to be the top finishing Toyota makes some sense. But
if you're looking to try and figure out a percentage,
for me, this is a race that may get you know,
one of what I would bet on other races throughout
the course of the year, just because there's a lot
more luck element involved trying to avoid the big wreck
that we've grown accustomed to. You can follow on Twitter
at Todd Ferman. That is at Todd Ferman. Before we

(22:01):
let you go, Todd, give me the over under the
number of Julius Randall threes from the three point competition.
I mean, when you look at some of the numbers
that are out there and you try and figure out
the odds, hey, look, I give Julius Randall a ton
of credit for competing in it, and it's a little
bit of a different dynamic than what we've grown accustomed
to in the slam Dunk contest. But there's a reason

(22:22):
Julius Randall finds himself at fifteen to one, and no
other player in the betting market has odds greater than
nine one. Thanks a lot, buddy, We'll talk to you
next week. Always a pleasure, all Star festivities this weekend.
Everybody else is nine. He's the only guy at one.

(22:44):
Looks like we talked about with Mark Medina a little
bit earlier, is seeing starts off games quickly and then
the legs go on. Alright, So here you go. Here
is my Big Bowl prediction for Monday. Get ready because
it's going to happen by the time you and I
speak again after this show on Monday. Derek Carr will

(23:06):
be a Jet. He will officially be a New York
Does he show up singing when you're a Jet, You're
a jetl in a New York accent? He'll he'll be
doing it. Yes. Uh, Look, he's gonna be a Jet
because the Jets can't afford to get into an Aaron
Rodgers Kirk Cousins situation where hey, he's the guy we

(23:27):
want and we hear that maybe you know, it's okay,
but he really wants to go someplace else. The Jets
can have there. No no, well they can't have nice things,
but they can have their situation. Seem like they're not
a destination, right the Jet We're a destination. We we
are a team that we find the quarterback we want,
we go after him and we get him and whatever

(23:48):
it was. And I look, do I do I think
that at some point during the week they found out
that that the Raiders are gonna likely get Aaron Rodgers,
or the Jets found out, Hey, getting him is going
to be really difficult. We really don't think we can
do it. The Jets at pivoted to Derek Carr, and
here he is this weekend. Right, the timeline works so
they could have Derek Carrent on Wednesday if they wanted,

(24:09):
but they didn't, But now they have them in this weekend. Um,
this is not gonna be one of those. Hey, we
talked to Derek. We're keeping our options open. No no, no, no, no,
this is gonna be one of those. Derek Carr visit
the Jets this weekend and by Monday he's officially a Jet.
They want to be able to say Derek Carr was
our guy. We identified him right away. We made a
phone call about Aaron Rodgers. But that's it. Derek Carr

(24:30):
is our guy. We went out and we signed him.
Like that's what the Jets want to do. And and
and clearly, if they're gonna go veteran quarterback outside of
Aaron Rodgers everybody else, you gotta trade four if they
don't want to give up draft picks, whatever else it is,
Derek Carr is gonna be that guy. No, look, I'm
not that excited because Derek Carr is not that good.
He's better than Zach Wilson. So there is that. But

(24:52):
the Jets are gonna want to make a bold move
and say this is who we want. We're we're fixing
our biggest need right now before free agency begin ends.
We know how much money we're gonna have in free
agency to go on, because you gotta sign Derek Carter
a contract here, and you gotta figure out the rest
of your team. So are they going to go for
a quarterback when free agency begins and worry about having

(25:12):
the cut players and bring up No, they're gonna want
to do it now so they have the team all
set to go. We gotta draft picks ready. We know
what we have to attack in free agency. Derek Carr
is our quarterback. We have our identity. He will be
a Jet by the time we speak on Monday night. Yeah,
I think you're wrong, but I like your optimism. I know.
The thing is, I'm not optimistic. I don't want but

(25:33):
it's going to happen. I'm just telling you what's But
if you go down the pantheon of available players that
don't require heavy capital investment, i e. Training away draft choices,
and that's where we get into Lamar Jackson. We get
into the pipe dream and everybody's hope that Justin Fields
gets trained somewhere. He he leads the list, means it's

(25:57):
not a great list, right. We're just talking with Tom Ferman.
He brought up the fact that Gino is gonna be
able to command thirty five million off of one year.
He's gonna try to command thirty might it might come
down at one, but I mean that's where you're at.
Top ten quarterback. That's where Jared Goff is right, he's
number ten. We were looking at that list yesterday. I
don't want to don't make don't make Jared Goff to

(26:19):
the Jets, happen. Stop, don't don't do that. Don't do that. Good.
I think he's better than what you're looking at. Don't
do that to me, man, don't do it. Don't do it.
The point being, that's the kind of money we're looking at.
Most likely in these scenarios, right, the two and one
get into optionality for a year, three, year, four, whatever
the case. Maybe, but we'll start looking at the laundry

(26:40):
list of guys. You got Jacoby Persett, you got Baker Mayfield,
you got Ryan Tannehill, Mike White stays see, I got
to Mike White. Really he did get to Mike. But
but the Jets are gonna be I'm telling you, I
know the team. They're gonna be bold. They're gonna want
this to be a move that says this is who
we are now. Yeah, but the more desperate they look,
I'm much more Derek Carr gonna want me. Well, but

(27:02):
but listen, where's that? Where else is gonna go? Who
else is? Tell me? Who else is called to say?
Come visit us? You had New Orleans right, nobody, But
now they could have signed him as soon as if
they wanted Derek Carr. They could have signed him right
when he became a free agent, but they told him, hey,
we want you to take a pay cut. Derek Carr says,

(27:24):
I'm not paying for that. So what's gonna happen? The
Jets have called him, he doesn't really have a lot
of choices right now. It's like, okay, I get it that,
but nobody else. He's not visiting the Jets, and he's
gonna go visit somebody else. If somebody that's that what's
happening right now. If that was the case, he would
have been visiting teams already. He would have been coming
off of the big visit Friday. Today's in Tennessee. He

(27:46):
talked to him and they want him to take a
pay cut. So it's to realize what the reality is.
The Jets aren't gonna have me take as big a
pay cut as the Saints, so I'm gonna go play
for the Jets. Also, who's the better team the Jets?
Just stop with that in that division right now? Stop stop.
The Saints aren't any good at all. Just now. Obviously,

(28:07):
have a lot of questions, what the hell happens with
Alvin Kamara. Michael Thomas is going on Twitter and taking
shots at the training stad and all. He's got the flamethrower.
Now it's my turn. But you got a good defense,
and you've got a crappy division. It is a crappy division.
But who's the better team. Derek Carr doesn't want to
go to a team and go Yeah, no, Mike, trust me, guys,

(28:27):
my fourteen touchdowns this season looks great. I'm like Kenny Pickett, No,
he wants to go someplace where he can achieve, where
he's he's got a I'm just reality with Kenny Pickt.
You really just want to go fight people in Pittsburgh.
I don't want to do never want sandwich. I don't
know the next time gonna be in Pittsburgh. I think
it's okay. I put on my I put on my

(28:47):
Twitter account this week. I could never go to Pittsburgh again.
And people from Pittsburgh is saying, fine, we don't want
you here anyway. We're not gonna keep We're gonna keep
you out. It's gonna be very difficult on Mike's and Sandwich.
Oh yeah, yeah, it's it's we need more food there
for Pittsburgh, definitely. You know, boy, now you see the
thing is after see now when we finish up. Now, no, now,

(29:11):
I'm gonna want to go get a burger with fries
on top of it. I'm gonna want to go do
that doing that before we already had that. I don't
always do that. No, no, no, no, no, I don't
always do that. That doesn't always happen, no, no, stop
always sometimes just some sometimes sometimes not all the time,
but sometimes. Look, I know that's what the Jets are

(29:31):
gonna do that. That's how it's gonna go. And they're
gonna be able to say we have no desire for
and we made a phone call. But now Derek carrs Look,
you're seeing all the stories that have come out Derek
Carr high and the Jets list. Jets have identified Derek Carr.
They want to be It's a bad I know it's
a bad, but you gotta pick somebody because Zach Wilson,

(29:52):
now you're trying like he's a hero, because he's the best.
List you have to go with. What's a ellible? If
I really want to have a peach for a snack
and I go to a I go to a peaches
all the time. Don't have peaches? Are the best, and
there's a bunch of peaches, and I really gotta have
a peach. But the peaches don't look that great. I

(30:13):
gotta pick the best one. Okay, it may not be,
but it's my peach, and I'm gonna have it. That's
what I gotta do. That's the Jets are doing. Hey,
it's it just so happens. We need a quarterback right now.
Would send a Friday Night bar. I wish we got
that peach. It may not be in a track in peach,

(30:33):
but what I wish they didn't need a quarterback this year,
but they do. It's like, oh, I wish we had
the number one pick last year. Yeah, but you know,
but you don't. You have it this year. So good
luck with that. But I wish we had it next year.
You don't you have it this year. You have to
make a decision. You gotta take the best or or
the least worst of what's out there. Derek Carr might
be the least worst of what is Now they're gonna kidnap.

(30:59):
He's gone into a dark room of his own. I'm
trying real hard to make this. I'm trying real hard
to be the shepherd Julius I'm just gonna be saying
this until the Jet signed. Derek Carr looked like Woody
Johnson's Twitter and out about a fresca. Mike and swollen
down The Jason Smith Show with my bes friend Mike
Carmon Coming up next. You got the play of the

(31:20):
night in a Big Bowl prediction coming your way besides

(32:49):
an eventful last couple of days for Tiger Woods. At
a great day on Thursday, finish with three birdies, got
in some hot water. I'm gonna pass justin Thomas the
Tampa on Oops, Maybe I shouldn't have done that with
the cameras watching, And then it became a big deal.
Could he make the cut? It came down to the
final hole for Tiger Woods, and hey, Tiger ended on

(33:11):
an up swinging so he gets to be the play
of the nights Tiger Woods from two and a half
feet into the bottom. Disappointing Bogey. Bogey finished with Tiger
Woods shoots a three over par seventy four. He sits
at plus one for the tournament and you'll have to
wait and see what happens. Serious sex m PGA Tour
Radio on the call. Look now he's not going to win,

(33:33):
uh Tiger and he's not look happy. Gilmore is his
way ahead. Hey this is Shooters Tour. But hey, h
to see him back and playing like this and playing
where he's still at making the cut, I mean, that's
that's amazing. Just getting unbelievable, unbelievable, I'll tell you. Yeah,

(33:55):
the fact that he got to the first tea box.
Yeah we're back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because that mean you
go through all the metrics of you know, non majors
and when he's played and when he has it whatever.
There is a big deal seven months for him. It's
been seven months as he played competitive golf and here
he is back and he's making the cut here at
the Genesis in Pacific Palisades. Outstanding. Find your wins, baby,

(34:17):
find We don't need to have the top ten finish.
We just him on the course on a Saturday. Business.
Just watch your private jokes, what you're passing them that
the cameras don't see you and right not did people
get a little bit too excited about that. It was
a little bit, tiny bit, a little bit of outrage
just because we like to be outraged. Uh. Now with

(34:39):
Aaron Rodgers now clearly in complete Darkness Retreat right now,
this is it f I mean he's in it now.
I mean, there's no way he's not in it. He's
in Darkness Retreat right now. One of the Star Trek
movies Darkness Retreat, Darkness or something like that, Star Trek four,
Darker than Yesterday, darker than the other one, really really

(35:01):
dark dark. Um. The one thing coming out of this
Aaron Rodgers is not gonna do is retire not going
to retire. He you can see just the fact he
was really upset about that. Nobody knew when the Darkness
Treat was starting when he was on Pat McAfee show.
I can't believe this. Now it was always scheduled for

(35:23):
the end of this week. Now he still enjoys the
attention that he gets. Everybody got a bonus in his
inner circle because it hadn't leaked properly exactly, you got it.
You can't you can't be upset at your inner circle
if they're if they kept it under Darkness Retreat, Hey
We tried to find his Darkness treat tonight. We couldn't
find his guy really did a good job for it.
We wound up and and and Derek Carr's uh Darkness

(35:46):
a treat which is really difficult. Forget about the money
part of it, which you know, no one retires when
they do fifty million dollars. He still enjoys being this guy.
The last three years he has had a level of
fame that he didn't think he could get to. And
look how much he enjoys it. He enjoys all this.
He enjoys going on and talking conspiracy theories and and

(36:07):
everything else in Ayahuasca tea and everything. He really likes it.
He's not gonna walk away from that. Forget about everything else.
He's not walking away because he still likes people talking
about Aaron Rodgers. He still likes the business. He's gonna play.
He'll go someplace else, he'll scratch that itch and by Monday,
probably we come on Monday. I told you, Derrick Carl
be a jet. Aaron Rodgers will say, I'm ready to

(36:29):
move on. I'm ready for my next adventure. That'll be
the big headline for him is Brian Doyle Murray scheduled
to be waiting outside the door when the darkness retreat.
Here he is in a top hat and a tuxedo.
I hear my declare, fell we better start moving. We

(36:51):
want to get ahead of the weather. Oh. I can't
believe that. Okay, but just the idea. I think he's interesting,
you know, Tom, Tom Brady, Hey, we all eat a
little quiet out that. I think he's right. As far
as the darkness retreat, I don't understand it, but it
says life, have at it. Wherever you find your piece,
find your wins. As long as you're not hurting me,
I don't care. And it's entertainment and content for us.

(37:13):
Thank you, Aaron Rodgers. I don't have to agree with
everything he says, but you know what, don't be a wallflower,
be a participant in the game of life. Twitter At,
how about a Fresca Mike at swollen Dome. So that's like,
if you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporters.
Really well done there you go, all right? Twitter At,
how about afresca Mike? It's swollen dome? The Jason Spitzer

(37:36):
with Mike Harmon coming up next from Vegas Burning Bernie Fratto,
who I'm sure is gonna tell you Derek Carr is
gonna be a Jet as well. Fox
