and the first one is Derek Carr. Yes, the interview
with the Jets. Met with the Jets. People were sending
me pictures of Robert Salo with Derek Carr at dinner
in Greater New York, New Jersey area. Here's Derek Carr.
Here's Derek. Brother did some more interviews to tell people
how the Raiders screwed him over and why was a failure.

I will tell you this. I have accepted it. I've
accepted Derek Carr to the Jets that it's going to happen.
I'm at that part of it. It's just gonna happen

It's a great landing spot for him that he would

people are not communicating with the packers and potential teams
of where he might be right because people who are

about that. I mean, he's he's got it worse than
when Robert de Niro was getting after Stiller before he
went into the Darkness Retreat, which is just sounds so insane.

The Jets were told hey, he'd be interested, or yeah,
you're probably not gonna get him. And if they were
told you're probably not gonna get him, they have Derek Carr.
The Jets are trying to just draw this out now
so it doesn't seem like it's really awkward. Where Aaron
Rodgers comes out says he wants to be traded, and
then the Jets go talk to Derek Carr. They're trying

to draw it out to make a time. It's so
whoever they go after they want to make it seem
like their number one choice. So I'm sure they know
that they still have a shot at Rogers, because if not,
things would have gone differently. Now. It doesn't mean I'm
definitely going. It doesn't mean, but it means they weren't told, Hey,
Aaron just really not interested. He's not going, because the
Jets would have done something else by now. They would

have said, Okay, we're pivoting, and if we're pivoting to
another quarterback, who else do we really like? They seem
to like Derek Carr. I'm not as big a fan,
but they are, so that doesn't matter, and that's the
guy they would identify. We think he can bring us
to a championship. That was the quote this weekend. Why
didn't you sign him then? Because they're still in on
Aaron Rodgers. I think they're still in on him, and
we should get a resolution on that sometime in the

next couple of days and the Jet will move on
from there. But the fact that that there a car
is still out there, Aaron Rodgers is still there, buddy, well,
but there's no urgency right as we talk about a
lot and bring in the business concepts of things related
to sports and how the real world and what y'all

some power oftentimes into the first mover advantage is a
very real thing. First to marketplace is something to say,
say the new Tops baseball cards that came out right,

which means people when they first come out are going
to potentially overpay. Maybe it's not a stated print and run.
Maybe there's just it released in waves. The add is
it available in retail products at Target and whatever is, Well,
you know all of those kind of things, so you
may overpay. Likewise that there's definitive, definitively, if you pull

that card and listed quickly, you've got a first mover advantage,
probably getting a higher price than others will pulling the
same card in the weeks to follow. In this case,
what's the first mover advantage for any team to go
into this marketplace and grab a guy? None? None, because
if Rogers is still undecided, you know that small percent retirement,

small percent returned to the Packers. And then the rest
of the pie is which is the best fit, Who's
going to be the most amenable to get me the
most money I can, Who's gonna make me look good
so I don't look like a chump and go out
terribly with no wins, no playoffs and all of that. Like,
I don't want it to go over the cliff as

far as my my last couple of years in the
league are. Why why would you rush that? Derek Carr,
Ryan Tannehill, Jacobe Percent. Derek Carr want to rush it
because he didn't know. He wants to want to be there,
right so I want to sign so it would be
an easy thing for the Jets. Okay, but but it's

not for that. But you don't if if you if
you remember, you're only getting there's only a couple of players,
not like the Jets field like, okay, well there's any
quarterback weekend, right But that the point is that Derek
Carr doesn't really have any other strong suitors right now,
unless he's having clandestine meetings and dark rooms with other teams.
He talked, but he talked to those Saints that nothing

seemingly came. I'm not gonna accept the trade. So whatever,
there's a chasm there that needs to be otherwise, who's
rushing out to Derek Carr? Yeah? But but but tomorrow, tomorrow,
suddenly the Titans may say, hey, we want Derek Carter
come in and hey, and here's the money, and here's
a deal, and that's done. You you wouldn't let a
guy go if you thought he really was your god

number one. But he's not your number one, right, he's
your back up choice. Row. It tells me you're in
on there, in on Roger's still because if you got
a hard no, they gotta maybe right, let's just say, hey, man, okay,
we'll take the baby. But if they got the know
it would have been okay. So now it's it's it's
what if we don't get Derek cart Now you're on
it's Garoppolo gonna be good enough? Is Tannehill gonna be

good enough? Is what? That's that's where you're at. So
it's yeah, you don't want to panic, but you also
want to be able to make a strong decision, defining
and go. This is our guy. We identified him right away.
He's our quarterback because once how many more quarterbacks? And
that's gonna talk to before you go. They have no
idea what they want, really do you don't know. You're
not looking the tape and you don't know, or you

want to swing the sweetheart deal to somehow land Lamar Jackson.
Which is the pipe tree or over here? Is that whatever?
The justin fields reality, right, that's a whole whole other
piece of the multiverse. But ostensible, you've got two guys.
You have two guys, and you probably like Rogers slightly
more than you do Derek Carr. I guess, oh yeah,

much more does he have to accomplish? This is where
we start weighing things. And maybe he got a little

are they looking at the last year of all right?

out with Miles Teller and he didn't develop a rapport
early in the season with the young guys, because he

role and he never figured out how to adapt. That's
not the case here. He is coming in with a
very defined role and a lot of clarity. You're gonna

consistency important stretches of games, right, we'd see a little
