they're done. The players are done, packers are done. Packers
are done. They're moving on. If he was coming off

another great year, it'd be different. But you can you
can be this way, and you can be somebody that
wants to hold an organization hostage. But the minute you
start sucking or if you have a bad year, you
lose all of that cash. He was a lot closer
to making the playoffs than the Jets were the last
two years. Aaron Rodgers was great, won two MVPs. Awesome, right,
So okay, hey I can I can dictate whatever I

want and the packers had to shut up and take it. Now.
This past year, he wasn't that great. He was kind
of a little bit over league average. Hey guess what,
he lost all that cache. So now we can't sit
here and say I want this, I want this, I
want this, because the packers are saying, well, now that
you may not be as good, we want to move on.
He's lost that. It's it's all he holds the cards. Nah,
oh yeah he does, but not if he's gonna go

back and not play. It's I'm not played. You think

So outside of that, we had a big first day
in NFL free agency. Yeah, we talked a lot about
Aaron Rodgers, a lot about Jimmy Garoppolo. But two other
quarterback moves really stand out to me. One is a
really under the radar move that it could be extremely interesting.
The Broncos signed Jared Stidham to a two year, ten

million dollar deal to back up Russell Wilson. This is
a very odd choice because with Russell Wilson seemingly entrenched
as a starter, what kind of reps is there going
to be for Jared Stidham? Why would you sign him
when the backup for Russell Wilson's really just going to
be a backup unless he's not. This is Sean Payton
coming in saying, yes, my number one job is to
(18:34):
get Russell Wilson back to where he needs to be
one hundred percent. I understand this, But if I can't
and we need to move on, I need another choice.
So now here's Russell. Here's Russell Wilson. He can't get
it done. He's awful. In year two, the writing is
on the wall. He's done. Here's Jared Stidham, who in
a very brief amount of time has shown a little
(18:55):
bit of promise. Already carved up the Niners the final
week of the season last year. A great Niners defense.
Yeah they're wrestling some guys, but still Niners defense is
one of the top two defenses in the league. So
this is very curious. This tells me this is not hey,
we got our backup quarterback. It's we have a guy
that if Russell Wilson can't do it, I will need
to go to somebody else, and it's Jarrett Stidham. This

could be really interesting now, I enjoy it right Based
on what they're paying him, it's not a monster deal,
but it's it's enough to raise an eyebrow. And they
have had reports that Peyton's most enamored with a lot
of what was going on, as he really kicks the
tires in the building. The other move that scares me,
and I know you've been waiting to get on this,

and I'll talk about this morrow night, is that how
do I just know that the Niners are gonna get
to the NFC Title Game again, and Sam bleep and
Darnald is going to be the quarterback. Somehow. He's gonna
be the last guy standing because Trey Lance either can't
play well or gets hurt, and Brock Purdy can't come
back from his injury, and the rest of the team
is so loaded. Sam Darnald is going to have them

in the NFC Title Game and he'll be the starting quarterback.
Of the story will be look at the redeption of
Sam Donald. Look out well, you can do. Look at
all the stuff, look out great. You never know about
somebody in their career, the highs of the Jets, the
loads of the Panthers, and here he is in the
NFC Championship game. Team three go somewhere where it's got
a more functional and stable base in the front office

and coaching staff. Last year, seven touchdowns, three picks with
a ninety two point six QBR. You know how much
I love that completion rate still just a shade under
fifty nine percent. But you go to San Francisco, where
you've got all that weaponry in an outlet like Christian McCaffrey, Yeah,
this could work. Trey Lance is an unknown Brock Purty

is coming off a surgery. Yeah, the opportunity is there
for Sam Sam Sam to send you into well the
fits of rage. This scares me. I honestly, I'm scared.
I'm scared that I'm gonna be talking about Sam Darnold
in the NFC Title Game next year, like it's going
to happen. Well, because you think about how wide open,
at least on these the NFC is right now. Yeah,

So outside of that, we had a big first day
in NFL free agency. Yeah, we talked a lot about
Aaron Rodgers, a lot about Jimmy Garoppolo. But two other
quarterback moves really stand out to me. One is a
really under the radar move that it could be extremely interesting.
The Broncos signed Jared Stidham to a two year, ten

million dollar deal to back up Russell Wilson. This is
a very odd choice because with Russell Wilson seemingly entrenched
as a starter, what kind of reps is there going
to be for Jared Stidham? Why would you sign him
when the backup for Russell Wilson's really just going to
be a backup unless he's not. This is Sean Payton
coming in saying, yes, my number one job is to
(18:34):
get Russell Wilson back to where he needs to be
one hundred percent. I understand this, But if I can't
and we need to move on, I need another choice.
So now here's Russell. Here's Russell Wilson. He can't get
it done. He's awful. In year two, the writing is
on the wall. He's done. Here's Jared Stidham, who in
a very brief amount of time has shown a little
(18:55):
bit of promise. Already carved up the Niners the final
week of the season last year. A great Niners defense.
Yeah they're wrestling some guys, but still Niners defense is
one of the top two defenses in the league. So
this is very curious. This tells me this is not hey,
we got our backup quarterback. It's we have a guy
that if Russell Wilson can't do it, I will need
to go to somebody else, and it's Jarrett Stidham. This

could be really interesting now, I enjoy it right Based
on what they're paying him, it's not a monster deal,
but it's it's enough to raise an eyebrow. And they
have had reports that Peyton's most enamored with a lot
of what was going on, as he really kicks the
tires in the building. The other move that scares me,
and I know you've been waiting to get on this,

and I'll talk about this morrow night, is that how
do I just know that the Niners are gonna get
to the NFC Title Game again, and Sam bleep and
Darnald is going to be the quarterback. Somehow. He's gonna
be the last guy standing because Trey Lance either can't
play well or gets hurt, and Brock Purdy can't come
back from his injury, and the rest of the team
is so loaded. Sam Darnald is going to have them
(19:59):
in the NFC Title Game and he'll be the starting quarterback.
Of the story will be look at the redeption of
Sam Donald. Look out well, you can do. Look at
all the stuff, look out great. You never know about
somebody in their career, the highs of the Jets, the
loads of the Panthers, and here he is in the
NFC Championship game. Team three go somewhere where it's got
a more functional and stable base in the front office

and coaching staff. Last year, seven touchdowns, three picks with
a ninety two point six QBR. You know how much
I love that completion rate still just a shade under
fifty nine percent. But you go to San Francisco, where
you've got all that weaponry in an outlet like Christian McCaffrey, Yeah,
this could work. Trey Lance is an unknown Brock Purty

is coming off a surgery. Yeah, the opportunity is there
for Sam Sam Sam to send you into well the
fits of rage. This scares me. I honestly, I'm scared.
I'm scared that I'm gonna be talking about Sam Darnold
in the NFC Title Game next year, like it's going
to happen. Well, because you think about how wide open,
at least on these the NFC is right now. Yeah,

this is hell for you. Sorry, daddy, Yeah, no it is.
And that's all I'm gonna think about. As good as
Aaron Rodgers is. Hey, maybe they should have stuck with
Sam Donald all along. Look at him at the NFC
title game here with the forty, and then you'll be
