and we're gonna hear this all.

I told you, Mike. My big fear the other day
was this was gonna be here. The Sixers made noise
in the playoffs because it's a crazy year and you
have injuries all over the place, and this is when
they start going and start talking about how great they
are and thumping their chest and it's gonna be in
every single day thing.

And that's okay. I mean, if you're winning, you get
to with the spoils. Also comes the ability to grab
a microphone and take over like you're in the middle
of the main event at Rustlemania. That's what you get
to do. That is your prerogative. Now, this game adjudicated
really unfairly and uh confusingly. I think it would be

the kind way to say it. Once again, the officials
front and center here in the NBA playoffs. But to
your point, the Sixers and the Grizzlies are the series.
Everybody wants. Why because they'll just talk at each other.
They don't even have to play basketball. We'll play dozens
and whoever has the better take and gets the crowd
on fire, We'll have some celebrity judges holding up scorecards

they win.

You know, here's the thing. I don't know that everybody
wants to hear that. Everyone wants to see that. I
want to I think people are kind of sick of
the Grizzlies in there talking, and they're sick of the
Sixers in there talking. I don't know about that much.
I think people want to see the Knicks and the Lakers.
I think that's what everybody want.

Nicks leg I mean, I don't think anybody's clamoring for
the Knicks, Knicks, Lakers and the Lakers. I mean they
gotta go see the Wizard and get some heart. So

Doc Rivers actually talked with us during the broadcast Joel
Embiid trying to get up off the floor, gets tangled
up with one of the Nets players and kicks out
at him, and you see a big time WWE fall
and Joel Embiid gets a flagrant one for it, but

gets to stay in the game. If you've seen this play,
it is one of those. It is not quite to
the level of Draymond Green. This is not a foot
stomp on the chest of another player. This is not
a situation where hey, I injured a guy and he's
heard all the way. But here's Joel Embiid, who I'm
going to get back with a big leg kick and yeah,
flagrant one, so okay, and Doc Rivers talks about it

after the first quarter. That's what teams do now, and
then when you respond, you get suspended. So now here's
the push from the NBA and from players to go
you can't suspend anybody, Okay, be careful what you wish
for if you don't want people to get suspended and
you're upset when guys get suspended. Speaking of suspensions, we

Draymond Green, but be careful if you.

have to like really, the other guy did a full
on leg extension kick to the to the nether regions
and everybody went to play on you got your flagrant
one and he does get ejected and Claxton gets a
technical file in that scenario. Why because he's standing over
him like an ass. So once again, you know, you
get into stupidity and both guys act out. Yet somehow,

that's okay for him to do. Come on, that's absurd.

in charger who's MLB Senior vice President for on field Operations.
But since Schurezer said the appeal was gonna be heard

by Major League Baseball, he decided to begin serving his
suspension immediately. Quote, I thought I was gonna get in
front of a neutral arbitrator, but I wasn't. It was
gonna be through MLB. So given that process, I really wasn't.

So instead of going through and hey, I'm innocent, I'm innocent,

in the business who I really don't care for, but
I know how much they love social media, and they
care about Twitter and social media more than they care
about their friends and families. Like they spend all kinds
of money to be able to buy followers and have

social media companies do things, and all they care about
is being beholden to people on social media and that's
their whole life. I spend all kinds I've spent all
my free time on social media and on Twitter, and
it's gonna cost me relationships with people I know, believe
I've worked with people and I'm like, dude, you really
wanted to be beholden to some idiot who DMed you
and and and you want to call me out for

I'm like, you more about somebody that you're tweeting with
that you have no idea who they are than someone

because we'll go global, bring in the presenters from our

were talent that we throw around so liberally and all
this stuff. And if that because someone at your network

can you just verify all these accounts for me? They
all work for us, and you would that is what
you're hitching your life to. Come on, man, people did
on Saturday Night Live, Get a Life. I came you

level of identity, I go back to the premise that

all the other insiders who I mean, look, they're not perfect,
they're human, and they get bad information, bad source, you know,
promise for a new day, all of those kind of
things that happening and go through. So we're always wary
of what's coming through, and you wait for for more sources.
And if that means we got to work a little
harder like newspeople and put a little bit of lower

on the journalism because we're still in sports talk radio

idea that if you're that wrapped up in your identity
of a check mark being on your Twitter account, it's
it's maybe time to take a vacation. Go go find

in Miami. Trust me, it's a real thing. It sounds
made up, and it's a real thing. The Emerge America's
Global Technology Conference. Now, why is he speaking at a
globe Maybe just so we could say this. He gets
asked about the potential of coming out of retirement to
play for the Miami Dolphins. And remember, Brady's been linked
(27:25):
to the Dolphins in the past, and he was gonna
be the part, gonna be the quarterback and owner a
couple of years ago, but that didn't work.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
But now now Brady retired, he came back, he retired again.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Now he's done that old Dolphins saying, yeah, that's all
part of the past. Except when Brady was giving the
chance to say, hey, it would be great, but I'm retired,
I'm done playing. I'm not picking up a football anymore.
Here was Tom Brady's answer to hey, would you come
out of retirement to play for Miami?

to broadcast right, Tom Brady's gonna jump into the booth

All he had to do was say no, but he won't.
Brady is still has that door open to playing, but
it's very specific. It's very specific. It's very specific. He

knows that he can't go to a team that, well,
maybe they're gonna be good, and they could be. I'm
gonna keep it going. Brady knows at this point, I
have to do what I did when I went to
Tampa the first time. I have to be surrounded by
elite level talent, Godwin and you know you're talking about
three years ago going to Godwin and Evans and a
couple of good running backs and bringing Gronkowski with him
(30:00):
in a good offensive line that keeps him up right.

That's the team he has to go to. And there's
no surprise.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
The two teams he's been linked to the most have
been the forty nine ers and the Dolphins.

It's Miami or San Francisco or bust for Tom Brady.
If one of those teams wants him, he will go
play for them. If not, he's done. He's not gonna say, well,
maybe I'll go play for the Titans. No, he's not
gonna go play for the Titans. That's not gonna happen. Oh,
they need a quarterback in Washington. No, he's gonna go
play where I can play one season and I can
win the Super Bowl. And at this point in my career,
(30:33):
I'm not someone that's gonna make everybody better, but I
will be able to make enough plays and we can
win the Super Bowl. And those teams are loaded, all right.
San Francisco was loaded absolutely everywhere, and they have an injury,
as y'all brock perty we may trade Trey Lance. Miami
absolutely loaded on offense. He's just throwing the ball up
in the air and Tyreek Kill is gonna catch it. Defense, okay,
(30:56):
a little bit going on, you know, not as great
clearly as the San Francis forty nine ers, but that's
a team that can make a lot of noise man,
and you can win a lot of games, and you
know we want to stick it to Belichick at least
a couple of times a year.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
So, yeah, those are the teams.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
If they call, if the opportunity presents itself, he will
go play. But it's gotta be the team's reaching out
to him. He can drop the crumbs, but he's not
gonna be desperate. Don Yee is not gonna start making
phone calls every couple weeks going. So you guys feeling
about your quarterback situation here, it's gonna be where they
reach out, Brady makes a decision and then he comes
(31:32):
back to play, and if they don't reach out, he
won't play.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
It's that simple. But if I come back, I can.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
Do it in a very specific set of circumstances, and
with either of these two teams, I can. And before
you think it won't happen, if the Niners move on
from Trey Lance and Brock Party, maybe out way way
something happens, because it looks like Perty's gonna be.

Ready for the beginning of the year.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
But if something happens, yeah, that could go on to
a tongue of Iiloa. You can't plan on having him
for the rest of his career. The way he's prone
to cancussions. The next one could be idio or he
talked about retiring the other day. I thought about it
in the offseason, but now ready to go back and play.
But while all quarterbacks can say they're one play away
to what really is one play away another concussion? Who
(32:13):
knows if he's gonna play? So yeah, could that happen?
And they call Brady and Brady comes out to play
one more time? One hundred and fifty percent, he still
hasn't closed the door. He still wants to keep playing.
He's doing it this crazy ass where I'm retiring fast
and I'm gonna unretire if I need to. But I'm retired,
so it looks like I've made my decision. It's insane.
(32:33):
He's doing things really crazy. But make no mistake. You
look at how he's acting, how he's talking. The guy's
not retired. He still has one foot on the playing
field at a time when it's okay to have one
foot on the playing field. Because you're not at a
time where you're doing a lot of great stuff. You're
not working out a ton Aaron Rodgers worked out with
Alan Lazard and he's buying crystals in Los Angeles the
last couple of weeks. No, now is the time to
(32:53):
have that one foot in, one foot out. If either
of those teams call he goes in places.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Well, you know he's still staying in shape. I have
no doubt still throwing a little bit. I know there
was the reenactment of your favorite Maverick scene, you know,
the little beach football going on, photo shoots and all
that fun stuff. But it's the idea of you, if
you don't have to shut the door, why do you
shut the door? Right? If you still love playing? And
(33:18):
we've talked a nauseum about the familial situation and everything
going on there, and Giselle's certainly spoken on at a
bunch that there's still some unfinished business perhaps on the
football side of things. The Sean Connery never say never
again because in the NFL, even a diminished Tom Brady
(33:40):
and you could say, all right, this was slowing down
or this wasn't as efficient as the past, although there
were a lot of reason slash excuses depending on how
negative you want to be towards Tom Brady. In terms
of the Tampa Bay offense last year offensive line, a
lot of injuries, attrition, and zero anuity running back position.
(34:02):
Rashad White looks like he might be a guy long term,
wasn't able to be the guy, and they tried to
force feed some old legs carries that didn't work. So
all of that got thrown to hell. And then you're
outside receivers some injury issues as well. So we can
go down the process and look across the NFL, and
(34:22):
still where do you put him? He's still upper tier, right,
He's still you know, above the fold as it were,
if you're going old newspaper style and ranking quarterbacks, because
we can do that. Where was top Brady right today?
If he came out? But the forty nine ers used
to say, Trey Lance can't stay healthy, make it shipped
out of town. Sam Darnold nice project a couple of
(34:43):
years in the league, showed a little bit towards the
end of last year with the right personnel around him, right, coaching,
better personnel all around that perhaps you can find some
more glimpses of the guy that once upon a time
everybody was fired up about. And then the curiosity of
brock Purty coming back off the injury. But the luxury
(35:05):
in today's NFL, you'd love that multiple No, that's right,
whenever you can get the Paul Hayman playoff brack party
because you know, Lesseners getting another run in the WWE,
so we get to talk about brocks all over the place.
But it's the idea that you need a crowded room
and there they've been snake bitten with injuries. So yeah,
(35:25):
you'd love an extra guy and he'd go home, and
all of that stuff. The stories right themselves. With Miami,
you mentioned the key with Tua, a story that given
everything going on and Draymond Green and continued Aaron Rodgers watch.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Woh woah wah wah wah all of that stuff wo
wo wo wow wow wow wah.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Yeah, you add all that stuff up that the toua. Hey,
you know what, I almost retired this offseason story didn't
get nearly as much trash it as maybe it should have.
That you know that that's under consideration. And once that
starts getting into your mind, and you can say that
with Brady, you can say that with Rogers and others,
you start wondering, all right, do we have to hedge
our bets? And you've got hell Tyreek Hill's already talking
(36:07):
about walking away after his deal's done in twenty five,
so why not pair him up with Brady for a
couple of years. See how it all works together.

H'ah beautiful, Trust me, man, those two teams call, he
comes out and plays, and it would have to be
a where we're calling you to come out, and it's
it's a it's a very simple and clean thing where
we find out we're not gonna have Brock Purty and
he's gonna be out, So yes, come here and be
our quarterback this year, and Brock Purdy's gonna sit behind you.

Or to uh you know, is hurt he can't play and.

You're gonna Maybe that could be sometime during the season

front and center here in the NBA playoffs. But to
your point, the Sixers and the Grizzlies are the series.

on fire, We'll have some celebrity judges holding up scorecards

then when you respond, you get suspended. So now here's
the push from the NBA and from players to go
you can't suspend anybody, Okay, be careful what you wish
for if you don't want people to get suspended and

then on the broadcast like, oh yeah he's taunting. You

have to like really, the other guy did a full
on leg extension kick to the to the nether regions
and everybody went to play on you got your flagrant
one and he does get ejected and Claxton gets a
technical file in that scenario. Why because he's standing over
him like an ass. So once again, you know, you

Brady today spoke at the Emerge America's Global Technology Conference
in Miami. Trust me, it's a real thing. It sounds
made up, and it's a real thing. The Emerge America's
Global Technology Conference. Now, why is he speaking at a
globe Maybe just so we could say this. He gets
asked about the potential of coming out of retirement to
play for the Miami Dolphins. And remember, Brady's been linked
(27:25):
to the Dolphins in the past, and he was gonna
be the part, gonna be the quarterback and owner a
couple of years ago, but that didn't work.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
But now now Brady retired, he came back, he retired again.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Now he's done that old Dolphins saying, yeah, that's all
part of the past. Except when Brady was giving the
chance to say, hey, it would be great, but I'm retired,
I'm done playing. I'm not picking up a football anymore.
Here was Tom Brady's answer to hey, would you come
out of retirement to play for Miami?
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Spending a lot of time in Miami now you call
it home. My chances are a chance that you're coming
out of retirement.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
And playing for the Fish.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
I know I'm just saying.

Well, I will say now that I'm not affiliated.

With any team anymore. And even though I have strong
ties with a.

Couple of teams.

I do have some friends on the Dolphins that I
really like, so I wouldn't say I say the root
for them all the time.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
But I root for my friends to do well, and
several of them play for Miami. So he's been Urrea's
my favorite movie.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
So wait, where was the no, I'm not playing for
the Dolphins.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
I'm retired. Would you come out of retirement to play
for the Dolphins? It's a pretty cut and dried question. Yes, No,
Instead you get well, I have friends on the Dolphins,
and you know I don't, but I got friends there. Dude,
that's not the question, can you He can't even say
he's retired. He can't even say he's done. And for
(28:54):
someone like Brady, this is not about Oh, I keep
wanting to do the dance because the guy's gonna be relevant, right,
whatever he does, he's relevant.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
He's become a celebrity.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
He's not someone that I need to keep people guessing
because they'll still be interested in my career.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
Right. He's not one of He's not one of those people.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
He's someone that, hey, he's always supposed to be doing
games for Fox, But I'm not gonna do it for
a year.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
Why are you pushing it for You're really gonna study
for you.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
You're gonna study Tony Romo for a year on how
to broadcast right, Tom Brady's gonna jump into the booth
at Fox and go Kevin Kevin, Kevin Hey, Kevin keV
Kevin Kevin Hey, Kevin Hey, Kevin keV Kevin, Kevin Kevin.
All he had to do was say no, but he won't.
Brady is still has that door open to playing, but
it's very specific. It's very specific. It's very specific. He
(29:39):
knows that he can't go to a team that, well,
maybe they're gonna be good, and they could be. I'm
gonna keep it going. Brady knows at this point, I
have to do what I did when I went to
Tampa the first time. I have to be surrounded by
elite level talent, Godwin and you know you're talking about
three years ago going to Godwin and Evans and a
couple of good running backs and bringing Gronkowski with him
(30:00):
in a good offensive line that keeps him up right.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
That's the team he has to go to. And there's
no surprise.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
The two teams he's been linked to the most have
been the forty nine ers and the Dolphins.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
It's Miami or San Francisco or bust for Tom Brady.
If one of those teams wants him, he will go
play for them. If not, he's done. He's not gonna say, well,
maybe I'll go play for the Titans. No, he's not
gonna go play for the Titans. That's not gonna happen. Oh,
they need a quarterback in Washington. No, he's gonna go
play where I can play one season and I can
win the Super Bowl. And at this point in my career,
(30:33):
I'm not someone that's gonna make everybody better, but I
will be able to make enough plays and we can
win the Super Bowl. And those teams are loaded, all right.
San Francisco was loaded absolutely everywhere, and they have an injury,
as y'all brock perty we may trade Trey Lance. Miami
absolutely loaded on offense. He's just throwing the ball up
in the air and Tyreek Kill is gonna catch it. Defense, okay,
(30:56):
a little bit going on, you know, not as great
clearly as the San Francis forty nine ers, but that's
a team that can make a lot of noise man,
and you can win a lot of games, and you
know we want to stick it to Belichick at least
a couple of times a year.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
So, yeah, those are the teams.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
If they call, if the opportunity presents itself, he will
go play. But it's gotta be the team's reaching out
to him. He can drop the crumbs, but he's not
gonna be desperate. Don Yee is not gonna start making
phone calls every couple weeks going. So you guys feeling
about your quarterback situation here, it's gonna be where they
reach out, Brady makes a decision and then he comes
(31:32):
back to play, and if they don't reach out, he
won't play.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
It's that simple. But if I come back, I can.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
Do it in a very specific set of circumstances, and
with either of these two teams, I can. And before
you think it won't happen, if the Niners move on
from Trey Lance and Brock Party, maybe out way way
something happens, because it looks like Perty's gonna be.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Ready for the beginning of the year.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
But if something happens, yeah, that could go on to
a tongue of Iiloa. You can't plan on having him
for the rest of his career. The way he's prone
to cancussions. The next one could be idio or he
talked about retiring the other day. I thought about it
in the offseason, but now ready to go back and play.
But while all quarterbacks can say they're one play away
to what really is one play away another concussion? Who
(32:13):
knows if he's gonna play? So yeah, could that happen?
And they call Brady and Brady comes out to play
one more time? One hundred and fifty percent, he still
hasn't closed the door. He still wants to keep playing.
He's doing it this crazy ass where I'm retiring fast
and I'm gonna unretire if I need to. But I'm retired,
so it looks like I've made my decision. It's insane.
(32:33):
He's doing things really crazy. But make no mistake. You
look at how he's acting, how he's talking. The guy's
not retired. He still has one foot on the playing
field at a time when it's okay to have one
foot on the playing field. Because you're not at a
time where you're doing a lot of great stuff. You're
not working out a ton Aaron Rodgers worked out with
Alan Lazard and he's buying crystals in Los Angeles the
last couple of weeks. No, now is the time to
(32:53):
have that one foot in, one foot out. If either
of those teams call he goes in places.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
Well, you know he's still staying in shape. I have
no doubt still throwing a little bit. I know there
was the reenactment of your favorite Maverick scene, you know,
the little beach football going on, photo shoots and all
that fun stuff. But it's the idea of you, if
you don't have to shut the door, why do you
shut the door? Right? If you still love playing? And
(33:18):
we've talked a nauseum about the familial situation and everything
going on there, and Giselle's certainly spoken on at a
bunch that there's still some unfinished business perhaps on the
football side of things. The Sean Connery never say never
again because in the NFL, even a diminished Tom Brady
(33:40):
and you could say, all right, this was slowing down
or this wasn't as efficient as the past, although there
were a lot of reason slash excuses depending on how
negative you want to be towards Tom Brady. In terms
of the Tampa Bay offense last year offensive line, a
lot of injuries, attrition, and zero anuity running back position.
(34:02):
Rashad White looks like he might be a guy long term,
wasn't able to be the guy, and they tried to
force feed some old legs carries that didn't work. So
all of that got thrown to hell. And then you're
outside receivers some injury issues as well. So we can
go down the process and look across the NFL, and
(34:22):
still where do you put him? He's still upper tier, right,
He's still you know, above the fold as it were,
if you're going old newspaper style and ranking quarterbacks, because
we can do that. Where was top Brady right today?
If he came out? But the forty nine ers used
to say, Trey Lance can't stay healthy, make it shipped
out of town. Sam Darnold nice project a couple of
(34:43):
years in the league, showed a little bit towards the
end of last year with the right personnel around him, right, coaching,
better personnel all around that perhaps you can find some
more glimpses of the guy that once upon a time
everybody was fired up about. And then the curiosity of
brock Purty coming back off the injury. But the luxury
(35:05):
in today's NFL, you'd love that multiple No, that's right,
whenever you can get the Paul Hayman playoff brack party
because you know, Lesseners getting another run in the WWE,
so we get to talk about brocks all over the place.
But it's the idea that you need a crowded room
and there they've been snake bitten with injuries. So yeah,
(35:25):
you'd love an extra guy and he'd go home, and
all of that stuff. The stories right themselves. With Miami,
you mentioned the key with Tua, a story that given
everything going on and Draymond Green and continued Aaron Rodgers watch.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Woh woah wah wah wah all of that stuff wo
wo wo wow wow wow wah.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Yeah, you add all that stuff up that the toua. Hey,
you know what, I almost retired this offseason story didn't
get nearly as much trash it as maybe it should have.
That you know that that's under consideration. And once that
starts getting into your mind, and you can say that
with Brady, you can say that with Rogers and others,
you start wondering, all right, do we have to hedge
our bets? And you've got hell Tyreek Hill's already talking
(36:07):
about walking away after his deal's done in twenty five,
so why not pair him up with Brady for a
couple of years. See how it all works together.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
H'ah beautiful, Trust me, man, those two teams call, he
comes out and plays, and it would have to be
a where we're calling you to come out, and it's
it's a it's a very simple and clean thing where
we find out we're not gonna have Brock Purty and
he's gonna be out, So yes, come here and be
our quarterback this year, and Brock Purdy's gonna sit behind you.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
Or to uh you know, is hurt he can't play and.

You're gonna Maybe that could be sometime during the season
or during the preseason, but that's when it would be.
It would not be.

It should not be anywhere else onny other.

Team, Jason, how great would this be? They go, he
goes to Miami, they win the Super Bowl eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox? Is Brady a better dolphin

Listen, don't even put that out there that he's gonna
go play. I mean, I I feel bad enough saying that,
but I have to say what the truth is.
