Speaker 2 (00:21):
This is the best of the Jason Smith Show with
Mike Harmon on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Well, it has taken three games, and the prospect of
we're firing the head coach, we're breaking up Tatum and
Brown and ever, the Celtics might not even be in
the league next year. They may get relegated to the CBA.
But the Celtics are showing a little bit of live here,
Mike Harmon. They lead by four in the third quarter.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Well, we have to wait until there's about five minutes
left in the fourth because if it's a close game,
they will crumble.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
But why can't you celebrate the Celtics?
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Now?
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Look at people are going crazy love. They want to
Everybody wants to love the Celtics.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
I mean everybody wants everybody wants more basketball, right, I mean,
you're running into a situation. You got Vegas beating the
hell out of Dallas in the NHL, your Hurricanes or shruggling,
and we already had one sweep, and if this one
goes down, I mean, what.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Do we got?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
What we got? We're going to its championships and then
we have to try to spin dominance and everybody just
running roughshot over the rest of the league. That we
don't want that we want. We want competitiveness, we want series,
we want drama. There's no drama except for who might
get fired and who gets thrown out and where random
injuries start to pop up. Or you do a whole
(01:42):
Vegas misdirection and make all of the rest of the
news cycle about you after you've been lost. You could
do all of these things.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
I tell you the way I read about the Celtics
that when everybody talks about them the last couple of days,
it's like, hey, we're just gonna disband if we use
this game to the heat, right, it's the Beatles breaking up,
gonna We're gonna have to disband. We can't, we can't
even put out a product anymore. Next year, everybody's gotta go.
Missoula's gotta go, Jason Tatum's gotta go, Jalen Bret's gotta go.
The support players have to go. The franchise will probably
(02:12):
get moved to someplace like Columbus. That's gonna be it.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
That's it with the everybody is so many people are
so mad, and experts are upset, and NBA players are upset,
and we heads are upset, and we're just they're gonna
We're gonna wipe them from the face of the earth.
That it's gonna be a big announcement. Adam Silver is
gonna say thank you for all coming. I just want
to let you know there's no update on Lebron James' future,
but we are going to eliminate the Boston Celtics from
(02:37):
the NBA. You can buy any whatever is left over
of the Celtics gear on our NBA dot com store
at thirty three percent off as long as supplies last.
We'll find a new team to take their place sometime
next year. Maybe we'll move the team to Seattle. Who knows,
but like, that's gonna be it.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
You my mom mad, there's so mad at guys like that, Well,
they have a garage sale at the end, shot can
buy a game horn Blake Griffin Jersey.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Uh, I think, well is it game warn if he
doesn't play.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Well, no, it's game warn. It's not game used.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, but I don't but yeah, but that's like saying
like like like if you don't play it all, like
that shirt's a game war. No, I just wore it
to the game. It's a game warn. I wore it.
I didn't wear it in the game. Not I woren't used. Yeah,
but that's the thing. No, there's a differencestics. You can
wear something in the game and you can wear something
(03:29):
to the game, and there's a big difference if you
wear it in the game versus if you wear it
to the game.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
So this is where you do a Vanderbilt and you
return the outfit after you've worn it to the game.
Don't have to worry about that anymore. It doesn't have
to make friends or enemies with any more retail shops.
But yeah, a game effort from the Celtics. You've got
Tatum and he's six to ten, he's got sixteen. Al
Horford hit three of six three point shots thus far.
(03:56):
There were some crazy odds on him hitting three plus
three point shots in the first half, So congratulations to
those that just bought themselves a new car on that one.
He's got nine for the game. White has fourteen. Brown
once again, you know, has has had moments where he
just doesn't look right. So even on the broadcast kind
of questioning, you know, some health stuff. But you're in
(04:19):
the game, go play five of ten, eleven points for him,
four assists for the Heat. Jimmy Butler's been been pretty iced.
He's three of ten, which means fourth quarter Jimmy is
just waiting in the wings.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
And that's the thing. This game felt like in the
first half, it should have been a bigger Heat lead,
like they were playing really well. We haven't had playoff
Jimmy yet tonight, but he's been playing really well.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Yeah. Martin and Vincent, Yeah, you at your support players.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Yeah, Hey, you're going to see Martin and Vincent.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
I saw them at the Rainbow Room a couple of
weeks ago. They were outstandingly funny.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Well because Vincent could be his first name or his surname,
you don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Or could be the first guy coming out for a set. Hey, everybody,
it's been true. But now the Celtics have an eight
point lead, and it's been Jason Tatum and not quite
Jalen Brown, but instead Derek White has fifteen points so
far tonight. He is having a big night for the Celtics.
He's got three threes as it's an eight point now
(05:20):
a nine point Celtics lead with six ' eleven to
go in the third quarter. Now, you would think this
is the time where Jimmy Butler has one of those
Jimmy Butler moments like, Hey, what the hell are we doing?
Let's go, I'm gonna rile you all up, and then
fire is gonna come out of his eyes and his
nose and his mouth, and he's gonna will the heat
to victory in the fourth quarter. This would kind of
be that time. You'd expect that from Jimmy Buckets.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Well, the big question becomes what song is going to
be in his head as he tries to get himself
revved up because a lot of deep thought pieces and
video clips making the rounds of how Jimmy is the
clubhouse DJ, and whatever he decides is going to be
the song. Cyrus Stop could could be, could be a
(06:04):
band that sold a lot of albums, could be one
you've never heard of from all across different genres. So
you know, I'm curious in the song, the voice in
his head, what's it singing right now?
Speaker 1 (06:18):
The song? What would the song be? The song would
be cents? Yeah no, that's why no, I wasn't going there.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Now.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
That's why Ty Shirt not being here tonight is great
because we can make all the Nickelback references we want
and we don't have to worry about hearing the songs
because ty Shirts off tonight.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Nickel but you know, he might have some way where
he takes over Mark's hands and makes him press buttons.
I don't, I don't. I don't want to open up
any of that bad bad juju.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Yeah no, all. I got to be honest. When I
saw the headline today that Nickelback was helping to fuel
the Heat's playoff run, I was really Now, now I
want the Celtics to come back and win in seven.
I want I want the Heat to go home now,
and I don't want Nickelback is not taking over the
NBA vinals. Come on now, let's stop with that. Let's stop.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Wow, it would be kind of funny, you know, hey,
to celebrate our championship parade. Here they are front and center. Baby,
let's go so.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
We'll have more on this game coming up again. Still
a lot of time left midway through the third quarter,
but a nine point lead for the Celtics and their
elimination game. Tonight show is brought to you by Discover.

(07:33):
while this is happening, Lebron James decided after the Lakers
got eliminated last night, Hey, I want the news cycle
all to myself. Well for how long right after we
get eliminated until when until we tip it off in
the fall His misdirection, Man, Yeah, I'm just I'm just
taking over now. I don't care that we just lost
in four games and everybody is hurting in the locker room.
(07:54):
I'm gonna take over and make it about me and
I don't know if I want to play. Gee, thanks Lebron.
Uh So, Lebron had these many statements he made, whether
it was in his postgame press conference, or to ESPN
or two NBA on TNT. He told everybody within earshot, Hey,
I gotta think about if I want to return next season.
I don't know yet. The Lakers had their end of
(08:15):
season meetings today and GM Rob Polinka said they all
hope Lebron James returns next year. Now, let's just for
one second, he's not retiring. Okay, we told you last
night before all of this broke that Lebron has said,
I gotta think. I gotta think. We told you he
is not retiring. He wants to play with Bronny. He
has said that so many times. What he could do
(08:37):
and what he probably is doing is setting the stage
to take time off next season. So he stayed, he's
gonna miss time anyway. Yeah, but I'll play thirty games
instead of eight, instead of sixty games. That's kind of
what I'm gonna do. See if the Lakers stay in
the playoff hunt without me, I'm gonna see what I
can do there, save some tread on my legs. So
when bron Bronnie comes to the league, I'm not so
(08:57):
completely done. And I'm getting posterized up in down the
floor and people are saying Lebron retire so I'm gonna
do that, or he's just using this as leverage for
the Lakers to promise they'll go get Brony when it's
time for him to get to the NBA. Because here
is Lebron who was all of a sudden, right after
they get eliminated, saying that I may not return. I'll
(09:18):
tell you this the day after, Mike, I'll tell you
because I've done a lot of thinking about that. I
know I've done a lot of thinking about that. I've
done a lot of thinking about this today. And it's
a really tough time because now the Lakers are blindsided
by this. All of a sudden, Lebron decides to take
the postgame press conference to say he may not be
back if I'm the Lakers, I go, okay, you know what,
We're not gonna be fooled anymore. It was a really
(09:39):
difficult relationship and things looked awful, and then at the
trade deadline things turned around a little bit. It's almost
like when you have a relationship with somebody and it
looks like you're gonna break up, but then you have
a good few weeks and you think, oh, maybe maybe
we've turned the corner. Maybe it's gonna happen, and then
something occurs that makes you go, oh, no, remember why
(10:00):
we're in this thing in the first place. Okay, that's
going to be it. That's kind of what these last
few months have been like for the Lakers with Lebron.
You thought it was just moving towards event what could
be a very public and bitter ending this summer or
after this, that the Lakers would have to move on
without Lebron James, who is not about winning anymore. But
you had this fool's goal of the past few months,
(10:21):
and hey, we're pretty good, and we made these changes,
and now we're feeling pretty good about next year. And
now here's Lebron saying, hey, it might not be around
next year. I don't know how long. And you know,
he's not going to tell anybody until we get a
week away from tip off. He's going to go all
summer long because he loves having the news cycle. Right.
He is a diva of the biggest proportions. He is
going to have this new site all summer long. Sources.
(10:42):
Lebron hasn't picked up a ball in three weeks. Sources.
Lebron may be coming back sources, Lebron may want out.
All of this is going to be happening very cryptically
over the course of the summer. So here's what the
Lakers should do. They got to go out and get
a star and act like Lebron is not coming back.
You saw the rumors today the potentially they could trade
for Trey Young in the offseason. He could be available. Yeah,
(11:03):
go get a superstar. Doesn't matter if he fits with Lebron.
You can make Lebron. But Lebron can move around and
do whatever he wants to if he wants to come
back to the team, if he wants to take that
time after the team just gets eliminated to say hey,
it's all about me and I don't know if I'm
gonna return. They need to proceed like he's not coming
back and go get a superstar. Because the team did improve.
It was pretty good, and Lebron wasn't the biggest scorer
(11:26):
on the floor, and the Lakers still got to the
Western Conference Finals. So you know what, You go out
and you get a star, whether it's Trey Young or
somebody else, and then you proceed as that's the case.
And then if Lebron comes back, he comes back. If
he sits out, he sits out. But you went out
and got a star because now LA is a destination again.
The team is good, people are coexisting. You know, Lebron
(11:47):
is near the end. Someone can come there and help
make it their own team and then it's your team
for the next few years. Go get a star and
ignore Lebron. If he comes back, he comes back.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
As like an on you. There's a million things going here,
and the idea of him leap and going somewhere else
forcing a trade brownie. I mean, not that the transfer portal.
You can't just up and leave whatever you feel like
it in college buckets anymore. But he did just sign
to go and hang out at USC for a year,
So I would say he's gonna stick around, get his
(12:17):
forty five to forty seven million dollars, all the ancillary
moneys flowing through Lebron Core Clutch Sports will be active,
no question, and then you're trying to figure out how
you round out the roster.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Right.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
We had the joke of hey, we're going to try
to keep this together Plink and everybody at the exit interviews,
and Kyle Kuzma immediately, yeah, I heard this one. Before,
so we'll see what they're able to do. And obviously
got to look at Austin Reeves, Hotchimore, all these things,
a lot of potential moving parts of it all. But yeah,
I think you go and you build the best roster,
(12:50):
assuming that even if he doesn't get foot surgery, that
he's missing a good chunk of the season, and weighing
his options.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Twitter and how about as Mike gets swollen dome The
Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon, live
from the ti iraq dot com studios. Right now, Boston
still an eight point lead over Miami, making a seven
point lead over Miami, eighty one seventy four, still in
the third quarter. Yeah, Lakers, call Lebron's bluff. Call the bluff.
(13:19):
You don't want to come back. We gotta move on.
We got hey, we got a team going on here.
We're not gonna sit here and go, oh, what's going on?
Checking the watch, checking the watch, checking the watch for
a phone call, checking the watch for move on, move on.
If he comes back, he comes back, he'll fit in.
He's Lebron James. He can do it. Go call his bluff.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Well. A shocking final from Game four of the Eastern
Conference Finals. The way the Celtics Quinton gave up in
Game three, you thought, well that he just gonna show
up and hey, we got five Celtics are gonna say, Oka, yeah,
we're getting back on the plane. But no, the Celtics
don't just win this game. They win it going away
one sixteen to ninety nine. They shoot fifty percent from
(14:08):
the floor. Jason Tatum thirty four points, eleven rebounds, and
seven assists to lead the way for the Celtics, the
much maligned Jason Tatum leading the way. Meanwhile, for the
Heat Jimmy Buckets after a really slow start, he heats
up finishes the twenty nine to nine boards, but not
nearly enough. As a game that we thought was gonna
get closer in the fourth quarter, it just never materialized.
(14:30):
Now the Celtics win this game, they go back home
and all of a sudden, Celtics in seven is gonna
be trending everywhere on Twitter. Mike Cardon they win Game five,
they go back down to Miami, they win Game six,
and it's gonna be a bench game that wins Game six,
and then they come back to They come back in
game seven and Tatum scores like fifty and they win.
They go on to the NBA Finals. Everybody's got it
all planned out for this Celtics and seven Celtics and
(14:53):
seven Celtics and seven.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
Oh. Even before this game tipped off, it was, well, normally,
you know, you have these games series where it's three
to zero and the better team has it. I'm not
so sure. Dot. I was like, wait, they lost all
three games with some bad decision making a terrible shooting
down the stretch. Yeah, you're gonna try to claim that
Boston was still the superior team.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Yeah, they were the number two seed.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Guess what they had gotten worked and all of the
undrafted players, because that's all the thought pieces the last
forty eight hours related to the heat and Jimmy Butler's playlist,
that all of a sudden, all of that was flowing
up as a well, you know what, there's the underdog
you have to love. But wait, now that they win
a game that the Celtics go in and steal Game
(15:40):
four to stave off elimination, and Jason Tatum goes fourteen
of twenty two with thirty three, eleven and seven. Everybody's
all excitable. They shot eighteen for forty four from three
point range forty percent. They made ten more three point
shots and then did the heat in this one. He'd
(16:01):
also with sixteen turnovers, two very large, looming, glowing things
from the box score as we flow through, But this
one was never really in doubt. That big third quarter
thirty eight twenty three does it all for Boston in
this one.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
I mean, look, let's talk about this now, because now
this is where it's gonna be. Where he iy, the
door's open.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
Body, let's go.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
I hear it. Here comes seven, Here comes Celtics in seven.
Boston seven, Boston seven. Look, I am gonna give you this.
It's going to happen at some point, right, We're gonna
get it. We're getting sixteen seeds winning in the NCAA tournament. Now,
eventually a team is going to come back from down
three zip and win a series in the NBA. It's
(16:46):
it's gonna happen. But this Celtics team is so jekylin
hide from game to game Are they really gonna put
together four incredible games? Rule, I don't care where the
games are. He'd already won the first two in Boston, right,
Are they really gonna put together four incredibly great games?
That's gonna win this series. So it's a team that's
(17:09):
been so jekylin hide throughout the entire end of the
regular season and play the last fifteen games of the
regular season and the playoffs. Is gonna suddenly go you
now we got it. Now, now we're good. Now we're
gonna everybody wanted, everybody fired or traded, yeah, five hours ago.
Now it's all the Celtics. We're gonna do everything. It's great, man,
you can Tatum's gonna score. Listen, here's that. What's gonna go.
(17:31):
The bench have a big game in Game five, and
we brogged in having a big night, and we're gonna
win Game five. And now that heat are gonna be
really nervous in Game six, and Jalen Brown's gonna score
thirty five in Game six. Then we set it back
to Boston for Game seven, Tatum scores another fifty, we win.
I get. I mean, really, you're you're asking a team
that is incredibly jeccolin hide to come back and win
(17:52):
and put four big games in a row together. Yeah,
it's gonna happen. It's not gonna be the Celtics.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
I thought it was funny there there was a sequence
I forget where it was in the fourth quarter, but
there was a misshot and the heat had an opportunity
to bring it to ten, and it's like, all right,
big shot here and here we go. Because then we
get into the final five or six minutes of the game,
and we've seen how that's the excellence of execution has
(18:20):
eluded the Boston Celtics in many turns over the course
of these playoffs, in close games. But they're able to
make another shot, got a big stop on that particular
possession of ball that got kind of booted out of bounds,
and then they go on and cruise to a seventeen
point win. But assuming that this, you know, exercised all demons,
(18:42):
all is right with the world. No getting one, sure,
and a lot's been made in, a lot of fun
has been had at the expense of the good folks
running the analytics department over at ESPN. But you know, folks,
immediately as they got to the fourth Quarner going, well,
you know, you know what's going on over there. The
(19:03):
Celtics are now the favorite to win the series. As
this game goes to the fourth quarter and they're gonna
be down three to one, but you know what that
momentum shift, let me tell you it's gonna be huge. Look,
six players in double figures. A nice effort from Grant Williams.
In his twenty nine minutes he had fourteen and six
and he was plus fourteen on tonight. You know a
(19:25):
guy that everybody was tracking what's happened between these two
teams and every statistical category since he walked up and
got all hard on Jimmy Butler there and tried to
mean mugg him, and well he held his own in
this one twitter at.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
How about a Fresco Mike gets swollen down the Jason
Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harry. Yeah, what
you got, Frostburg?
Speaker 4 (19:47):
You know how it can be the Celtics to be
the first team to come back down three?
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Okay, let me think, how is this going to involve
the Knicks and Slash or the mass.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
I promise I'm leaving the out of this or the
ja Okay, go ahead, even though I want to include them,
I'm not going to it's too low hanging. Okay, you
invite a Rod and Jeter like they were in attendance tonight,
the four Yankees. Just get the whole cast there.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
I didn't think about. Okay, we just get all the
two thousand and four Yankees. All right, all right, that
might work. That might work. Okay, let me write that
down two thousand and three. I'll call.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
David Ortiz and give him a microphone. For Game five.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
We need to represent because this is our blanket city.
And now I'm gonna go fight Alex Rodriguez in front
of all of you, and he just goes over and
just starts.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Well, now I'm on board with this.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
And then you have Jeter handout gift baskets to the
heat after every win.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
No, that could that could work. See I'm thinking more
like Jeter starts jumping in the fight, and it kind
of looks like when Captain America the winner is fighting
Iron Man and he's he's hitting them with his repulsar
rays and the Caps hitting with the shield and the
Winter Soldiers hitting him with his arms, back and forth.
That's kind of what I'm thinking. It's gonna we would
look like with Poppy in the middle of Iron Man.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
You need to tell your dad the jeter let America
down the night.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Oh you know, you know what I you know you
you know you bring up my dad and I actually
have a good story about my dad today.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
My dad, let's go, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Oh my goodness?
Speaker 3 (21:21):
All right, so let's just.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Finish somebody's ear off and punch them in the gut
with a bowling ball.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Look, look, this Celtics team not coming back from down
three zip now here. So today I had to take
my dad. He had his colonoscopy appointment, so I have
to tell well, I tell you, and it's what it is.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
I'm not going to give you.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Yeah, it's cold, so I have to go pick him up.
You know you can't drive home after your colonosky. So
I'm all right, I go What time should I come back?
He says, they'll call you. I said, all right, great.
So I get a phone call from the recovery room, say, hey,
is this is this Jason? I said, yeah it is.
I said, okay, Well, we have your dad here. He's
going to be ready to go in about twenty minutes.
If you want to come and get him. Awesome. So
I make my way up there and I text him
(22:01):
before I go. I go, hey, I just got a
phone call. Are you good to go?
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (22:06):
Just making sure you're okay? And he texted me back
on my way up and it says he goes, yep,
good to go, I'll see you here. I said, okay, great.
So then I'm about I don't know, five or seven
minutes away and I get a phone call from the hospital. Again,
is this is this Jason? Yes, it is, okay, just
want to know your your dad's gonna be ready for
uh for discharge. Have you you haven't seen him yet?
(22:26):
Have you haven't gotten here yet? I said no, I'm
I'm on my way be there about five. He says, okay,
all right, great, just let let us know what you
get here. Okay. I'm like, well, that's kind of weird.
So then I'm only a couple minutes away and I
get a phone call and the guy sounds frantic and
I go, Hi, this is Jason, and he goes, Hi,
this is Jason. You Walt Smith's dad and Wallt Smith's son.
I go yeah, he goes, okay, you haven't picked him
up yet? Have you And I said no, no, I'll be
(22:48):
there in like two or three minutes. He goes, all right,
have you heard from him? And go, yeah, he texted
me he said to come pick him up, and and
you called me, so I'll be there, goes. I said,
well he be ready to go. Go yeah, but we
need a couple of minutes because we just got to
do a couple of quick things and and we'll let
you know when he's ready. I said, okay, hang up
the phone, and Pam is with me, and Pam goes,
they don't know where he is. Is it what? She goes,
(23:08):
I guarantee you that something happened and they don't know
where you're broke out. I go, oh my god, okay,
all right.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
Operation Breakout. It's not Rocket Raccoon saving the Guardians. It's
wald Smith.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Time to be the captain again. So I so I
pull up to the front of the hospital getting ready
to go in, and he's standing out front. I'm like, oh,
all right, so he's okay. He gets to the car
and go you okay, he goes, yeah, yeah, yeah. I
go all right because they just a couple of people
just call me saying they needed they wanted to make
sure I was there, that you okay. Yeah, No, I'm fine.
I'm fine. I'm like all right, great. So you get
in the car, we're going home. Phone rings again and
it's a different person going, hey, is this Jason's I go, yes,
(23:42):
it is, I goes, okay, So, by any chance, is
your dad Walt Smith with you? And I said yes,
yes he is. I said yes, I go yeah. I
picked him up outside out front like five minutes ago.
And and the guy says, oh, okay, goes, I found him,
his son has him, his son has him, okay, And
I hang up, Dad? Did you tell anybody you were
leaving it? Did you just walk out of the hospital?
(24:03):
He goes, I don't know. They were all smiling. I
kind of waved it up, and Dad, did these people
been looking for you? They done? You were disappearing patient
for the last forty minutes. You can't just did you
just walk out of us? They knew I was leaving.
I waved, I got up. You just went out and
went down? Did you sign out or anything nother? Did
you tell anybody you were leaving?
Speaker 2 (24:22):
No?
Speaker 1 (24:23):
So this hospital was frantic. They thought they lost a
patient for a good half hour. Where's that guy with
the backwards Yankee had? We can't find him. I don't
know where he is. Just call his son again, see
if he's there. The person ratchet they were calling. My
dad said he wasn't answering they called. Just keep calling
his son, just get calling and said, I'm like Dad,
(24:44):
you had these people in a panic. They thought they
lost a pagers. I don't know. I just walked out.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
So my dad just sid Now I want to know
what would happened Jason though. If they couldn't find him.
Speaker 4 (24:54):
They was on somewhere.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Can you but just say you had you said no,
I ain't got him.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
What happened after you? I should have said that, I go, no,
I don't have him. Why?
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Well, what happened? What happened? And what happens now? I mean,
what do we do?
Speaker 1 (25:07):
You did you lose my dad? If I'm showing you,
I will suit you for every single penny that you
It'd be tough because it's my dad gets his benefits
through the VA. Being a veterans would be tough to
sue the v A. I would I would want to
take their money. You don't support your dad, No I do,
but I would want to sue the v A. I mean,
then then it would who knows if I win all
that kind of money. That's a lot of a lot
of vets that don't get healthcare.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
You found a TV with yes network, happened?
Speaker 1 (25:33):
He just just out he just.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
That's so great. Do you have him now? No?
Speaker 1 (25:43):
No? No, my dad? No, I don't. I don't know who.
Who the hell won't who? I don't know. I don't
have my dad. My dad lives in in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
What are you talking about? I don't know if prank
call or this guy? This guy? Oh, so that's my
dad today. So you had a whole hospital nervous as
hell for a good half hour because they thought they
lost a patience. Did he just walk out of here
(26:05):
now picturing my dad like in a movie when when
the hero wakes up and he just starts ripping the
ivs out and all the things they stick on you
for whatever you know of tests they're running that don't
really mean anything. You're just ripping us off of getting
my shoes getting on, and I'm walking out of the
house and I'm not gonna see anybody. He just walked
out of the.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Straight out.
Speaker 1 (26:25):

Speaker 1 (26:55):
So the Celtics shock the world, they shock all of us.
Hey wait, showing the world by.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Showing up in an Eastern Conference finals game. That's kind
of funny to say it that way.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
And they extend the series. After you heard from Mark Medina, Hey,
you had a lot of heart, you had a lot
of hustle. That's what makes the difference in a lot
of games is being able to play together. It's not
the talent, it's about the heart and the hustle. So
now the Celtics are going back to Boston. Already trending
all over social media is Boston and seven Celtics and
(27:29):
seven Tatum in seven, all these crazy things. I just
want to go back to. Now, what is my favorite
storyline because it changes one hundred and eighty degrees every
day during the season. Joe Mizzula was a really good
head coach, right He steps in for Ema Udoka after
a bit of a shocker that the Celtics lost their
head coach to a controversy. But Missoula comes in and
(27:51):
the Celtics going. They win fifty seven games and they
finished second in the East. That's pretty good. They get
to the playoffs, everything is fine. But now they go
down to the to the Sixers and oh, they're down
three to two. They're gonna get knocked out. It's all
Joe Mizula's fault, all his fault. He needs to be fired.
But then they come back and they beat the Sixers,
(28:13):
so it's not Missoula's fault. Hey, what a great gutty
effort by the Celtics and Jason Tatum scores fifty one
in Game seven. All right, no, no, Joe Mizzoula is great.
Then we get to the series against the Heat and
they Heat Celtics go down three zip and it's all
Joe Mizzuola's fault and everything you hear from Woes or
anybody else on TV he's lost the team. They're not
(28:35):
trying hard. I don't know what he's doing with his timeout.
It's all the Joe is it's all Joe Mizzula's fault.
He's gonna get fired. Then they win tonight and suddenly, hey,
everything is great again. Look at this. They stepped up
for their head coach. And now they're going back home
and they can make it a game six with a
big win. And oh and now it's not Joe Mizzula's
fault anymore. I love this story so much because it's
(28:58):
just a load of crap. It's an absolute load of crap.
Do all coaches have the same postseason?
Speaker 3 (29:04):
No?
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Do some coaches struggle in certain games, yes, just like
players do, but not everybody. Is Eric Spoulster, who's probably,
outside of Steve Kurr, the best head coach in the NBA. Yeah,
he's a really good head coach, But you know what,
the Celtics are more talented and the game and the
games won on the floor, And how does it go
from Joe Mizzoula's fault and not his fault to his
(29:26):
fault and not. It's just a load of crap. They're
not gonna lose this series or lose in the playoffs
because of Joe Missoula. Does he did he make mistakes? Sure?
But you know what, Tom Thibodau made mistakes. No one's
calling for his job, right, No one's saying Darvin ham
should be fired Eve though he made some really bad mistakes,
especially in the final minute of last night's game. But now,
but it's like everybody is so is so bent on
(29:48):
finding whose fault it is for the Celtics, that it's
Joe Mizoula. Not the fact that Jason Tatum can't get
motivated from game to game, or the fact that the
bench players aren't stepping up. No, no, we gotta find somebody,
and it's all Joe Miszula's fault, which is just a
load of crap that they want to They want to
put this loss entirely on him, and this series entirely
on him, just because we gotta blame somebody because we
(30:10):
should be into the the NBA Finals by now.
Speaker 3 (30:12):
Well you know the rules. Oh, you gotta have a
fall guy, and you can't blame your superstars unless you
can somehow start to ferret out some information that maybe
they're at odds behind the scenes. Again, things you thought
were quelled and pushed aside over the course of the season,
that suddenly they've re emerged in our issues here not Hey,
(30:35):
this guy's playing through whatever, injury whatever, and again excuses reasons,
whatever the case may be. And from Missoula, you have
the record in games decided by five points or fewer,
they've been dismal. They haven't won a game that way
in the playoffs. Is why I was joking with you
in the fourth. In the third quarter, we're like, ah,
they're tearing it up. It's like, let's see where we're
(30:57):
at with five minutes left, then I'll give you a DA.
So you have that flowing and the expectations on this
squad were huge. You bring back all the principles. You've
got good role players when you look at what White
and Horford have been able to give you throughout the season,
and and Horford with the veteran leadership, he also gave
(31:18):
Jimmy Butler some some ammunition with the time out, you know,
kind of joking thing gesture that's gone back and forth.
But yeah, when you have those kind of expectations, fair
or not head coach always comes into question.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Yeah, but it's it's It goes from it's his fault too.
How is it his fault when they can play like this, right,
but his fault. Everything is going to be his fault.
But it's overly his fault. It's overly his fault. Well,
I think.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
There's there's some sensitivity to being overly critical of players
at times unless their name is Lebron James or Kyrie Irving. Yeah,
I think those are the two guys that kind of
wear most of it, right,
