You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (00:28):

(00:49):
The way tire buying should be, Well, it looks like
I'm gonna end up paying and everybody sucks. The vote
tonight I ordered it for everybody here.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
You know.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
We ordered fat sALS, great can place, excellent, not a sponsor.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
And uh, I faint because I'm a nice guy, and
ty Shirt was gonna put everything and I gave my
credit card and somehow the meals got charged to Harmon's
credit card instead of mine.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
The sandwich I've ever.
Speaker 5 (01:17):
Done, because I assume he had paid the last time
the show bought from this place.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Or ty Shirt's been using Harmon's credit card buy things
and we don't know that yet. So hold on, I put,
I don't know how I was escalating assumption there.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
How else?
Speaker 1 (01:31):
How else did that happen?
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Because I told you I went to the same side
we had just sorted from. It was like, would you
like to continue your order? It's like sure, So I
put the orders in and it just paid that way,
and Harmon's credit card card had for the keen wash
shortage magically.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Got in there.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
Okay, all right, okay, you're telling me you've never like
opened up your search browser and it goes to the
most recent thing you've done before.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Harmit's also going to pay for the most recent car
payment for all types of one hundred and fifty dollars
on cucumbers at Whole Foods. There was some squash too,
So I put a poll up on Twitter and get
at how about a Fresco or Fox Sports Radio who
should pay Harmon back? And the two choices are me
(02:15):
or ty Shirt, And now it's getting out of control.
I'm winning, which is not winning. It means I'm gonna
have to pay fifty five percent to forty five percent
for ty Shirt. It was at one point Tyshert was
the guy I had to pay. And I think, just
by screwing up and not knowing how to buy something
on the internet, you should pay.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
But then I.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Realize it's my fault because I should have put the
poll out there saying what should happen Tyshirt pays Harmon.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
Back uh or be Harmon? Whar's it?
Speaker 1 (02:44):
That should have been the choice. And then I'm out
of it entirely. Yeah, and I could just say, listen,
we'll abide by the results of the vote, whatever it's
going to be.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Yet again, yeah, I always think before you tweet a
hundred bucks here, I should.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Because I'd be I would say, listen, I'll abide because
I said I would abide by the end of the
vote here. If I put that out there, I get
said by So either ty Shirt is paying or Harmon's
paying for dinner.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
Really, you're not gonna have feral sixty three lawsuits now
saying it was rigged.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
No, no, no, can't.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
I can't waiting. We know what happened.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
No, I mean ty Shirt freely admits what happened. He
firmly admaged. I mean, this is this is what happened.
There was nobody put bringing in any votes or dropping
off votes. There was a car load of votes that
came in. None of that happened, Jason, None of that.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
This was an accidental charge on purpose.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Okay, accidental charge on purpose. So ty Shirt was doing
that on purpose on purpose? No, I was not interesting. Well, okay,
how is Carmon's credit card number on your computer? Where
it just pops up and populates.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Because it went to the most recent order that was
fat sales last time we ordered on this other computer.
Yeah that was Jason the other No, did Frostburg order?
Last time? Harmon did one before that was on this side.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Oh so that's the first time that computers really, Yes,
that's the first time you have used it really.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
Well, this is this second time because the first time
was Harmon's.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Yeah, what are all those whole foods orders on?
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Don't worry about that, Okay, I just want to I'm
not ordering food, Okay, No attention to the keen one
behind the curtain.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
What a truck full of seaweed shows up at tight
Its house?
Speaker 6 (04:15):
You gonna know what?
Speaker 4 (04:16):
It's actually sour soap from Florida. But thanks for asking.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
Harman's got all weekend to settle down and figure this out.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Oh he's gonna be I still don't know what to
write back to him, because he sent back when I said,
what's your Venmo account number? And he sent back a
frowny emoji face and a question mark. I don't know
what to write back, like.
Speaker 5 (04:32):
That animated movie a few years ago with all the emotions,
and this is the red face guy, and that's gonna.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Be him permanently all weekly. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, he's gonna toture.
How'd you pay for those broccoli snake boots?
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Hey, tysh, I thought you were looking for a sponsor
for your automated podcast. No, no, it's all set up now,
it's all good.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
When it's a swollen dome and corporation, he's gonna be
buying blind packs of cards for the rest of his eyes.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Trying to pay for this. Yeah, because this this is
like a hundred bucks. It's not like it's like, you know,
this is a decent chunk of change. Here because fat sells.
You know that's not cheap. That's a lot of old
Tom Underwood cards. I mean, when he's gonna be laminating
Beckets for years. From Mike, he's gonna be sending out
stuff to get it graded to haven't come back. It's
not great to get back.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
And how many more medi minoso's do I have to collect?
Speaker 6 (05:29):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Man, I have a Hal McRae with a used game
sock stirrup ken. How much is that worth? Hal McCray,
how much?
Speaker 4 (05:35):
How much?
Speaker 5 (05:36):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (05:36):
The Jason Smith Show, Steve de Saga in from Mike
car We got more of the NBA Finals coming up
in a few minutes, real quickly.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Yeah, what do you got?
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Frostburg?
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Tyson might have to clean the andree the Giant jock
shop with his tongue after this.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Why would you give me that? I thought you would
say he might have to sell it. Why would you
get me cleaning it with his tongue?
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Why?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Oh, why would you.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
Bicually?
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Like with a little toothbrush, like like he's got like
a little punishment, like he found like a little idol,
like he's Indiana Jones. I gotta clean it with a toothbrush, Remember,
it's game used. Yeah, I know, but I'm you know
what that's like. I can see him making money on
a dare like that. I dare you to lick the
honor of the giant jockstrap that you have. And maybe
he would do that to make mine.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Maybe who he is.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
People right now are thinking Mike giant box trap. Yes
he does.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Actually the show does he bought it for the show.
I think it's whatever was his credit card? Yeah, with
the credit card.
Speaker 6 (06:30):
That using right there?
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Oh, look at Harmon getting tagged.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
Uh so now we're gonna get a game used tom
Sever this and a game is al art Schampski that
art Shampsky.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Hey ty shirt, buy me buy me some Tom sever
stuff on there? Just put it on Harmon s something Yeah,
uh yeah xl XL yeah should I should?
Speaker 4 (06:56):
I stop the cans on this Mets gar I was
gonna get for you. No, no, no, let that go
through you. Sure, yeah, let you didn't take it? Now,
let that go. Yeah, it says if we were refunded.
That's nice.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
It's all it's all on clearance right now. The Mets
stuff is all there. See if that was back when
the Mets were good. You know, we were good up
until like, okay, a month or two ago. Uh out
of the NFL. Today, Aaron Rodgers spoke at length with
the media, saying how much funny he has had wrapping
(07:24):
up the OTAs with the Jets. It's been a fun time,
perfect attendance for Aaron Rodgers. And I get it, you're
supposed to be there, Kyle Ripkin, but from a guy
who didn't want to show up for the Packers in
the past, and OTA's was something that maybe he was there,
maybe he wasn't. Look Brady was a guy that stopped
showing up to OTAs after Why I was so mad
at what went on in New England, But here was
(07:46):
Rogers at every Ota said he was going to miss
the last half, was gonna come to the first half
and then leave and come back, but said no, I'm
going to continue to build here fun OTAs wrapped it
all up. I'm telling you, Yes, it's a honeymoon period
right now. Absolutely. Watching him throw in slow motion on
the Jets Twitter accounts is mainly my main source of
(08:08):
happiness right now because the Mets just think so bad.
Speaker 5 (08:10):
Speaks volumes, but chan't see your main source of happiness.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
But there's two thing because well yeah, because there's no games.
So there's two big things to take away from this.
Number One, understand that the detachment that Aaron Rodgers had
and a lot of what went on last season.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
A big part of it was he was just done
in Green Bay. He was done, and it happens shouldn't
have happened. Probably not. You're coming off with two MVPs.
I like to think that I'm gonna get out there
and put forth my best effort and do everything I can.
But as we see in the NBA Finals, teams don't
put out their best effort when all the money is
on the table. So understand that his detachment and all
(09:00):
of this, ah, I'm not at OTAs, I'm not here,
I don't need to be here. A lot of it
was his disenfranchisement with green Bay.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Green Bay.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
He said in the offseason that if it wasn't for
that miscommunication or things different when he got out of
the shack, he might have been going back like there
was a chance he was going back liar.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah, but he might have gone back in. He might
have come back out and said, I don't need any
money from the Jets. They can just they can just
pay me in in uh, you know, in Jets bucks
and what he Johnson money and whatever it is. He
he was not happy in Green Bay, and there is
a lot to say about someone who is encountering something
completely different or what you really wanted, because this is
(09:44):
what he's wanted. I want to be the voice of
the team. I want to be the I want to
be the voice of the offense. I want to be heard.
And the Packers just didn't let him do that, and
a couple of times they would cowtow to him when
it came to a personnel decision. We'll bring back Randall Cobb,
we'll do But overall, hey, I know what I'm doing.
I should be in charge of the offense. And the
(10:04):
Jets have shown up and said, yeah, you should be,
because clearly Robert Sala doesn't know what he's doing offensively,
because he ruined Zach Wilson over the course of the
last two years, which happens when a defensive coach doesn't
know offense, and you put him in charge of a
team and he says, hey, just don't screw up. Now,
you know, you know you're not building a quarterback that way.
You can't build a court and say, hey, don't scr up.
Let him go, let him make the Brett Favre throws
(10:25):
that he was famous for in college. But instead it
was don't screw up. Don't You're not gonna build a
quarterback that way. They stayed out of Aaron Rodgers' way.
Watched the Jets offense, and I'm telling you he didn't
show up. He didn't show up to be this visible,
to be this much of a story, to put this
much of a bulls eye on his back. If he
was gonna suck, there's no way that's going to happen.
(10:46):
He's gonna be fantastic. I'm telling you everybody is sleeping
on just how good Rogers's gonna be with the Jets
this year. You sit here in Nasay and say, oh,
maybe he's done. He's watched He's thirty nine. He says,
i'd watch Green Bay. I'm telling you, man, this is
not a guy that is. It feels like he's at
the end if he was at the end, he'd be
behaving much differently.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
He's not gonna put himself out there.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
If he thinks I'm just trying to hang on and
collect fifty million dollars the last couple of years, He's
not doing that. A.
Speaker 5 (11:11):
His season will be very public one way or another
with the primetime games.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
And B.
Speaker 5 (11:15):
He did say at today's press conference that having a
calf strain during practice did contribute to the decision to
stick around. And yes, they are killing OTAs early because,
as we mentioned earlier in the show, no practice for
them next week because they're showing up to camp early.
They have the exhibition, the Hall of Fame game.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Well I thought they were waving the white flag on right.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
No, no, no, well no, really what you would say is, oh,
they know they're going to win the Super Bowl. They
don't need to practice anymore. No, they're showing up early.
They're quitting on the season. They're playing the Hall of
Fame game. So yeah, all right, we got to come
in early. We had a great OTAs. It's fine, but
I'm telling you Rogers is going to have a bit
your everybody's sleeping on it. Okay, I'm gonna do a
shrug my shoulder and go okay, count him out, count
(11:56):
him out, and you just watch the season he puts
up with the Jets, and watch how good the offenses
and watch everything they do. Not this is too much
of a risk for him. If he thought he was
going to be bad, If he came in and he
was quiet, he was like, I'm just down doing my
business and I'm doing this, I would say, oh man,
what does a guy have left? Right? Because he doesn't
want to make any more of a story than he
(12:16):
has to. But he is out there front and center
wanting to win this divorce with the Green Bay Packers.
He has gotten a new lease on life. And look,
this will be the best year all of whatever he
is playing with the Jets, whether it's two years, whatever,
this year will be the best year because everything is new.
There's a new sense of energy and accomplishment that can
things that can happen. This will be the best year.
(12:39):
If this is a thirty five touchdown, ten interception year,
the Jets are going to the super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Right.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
If it's a nineteen touchdown twelve interception year, well maybe
they're going like seven and ten. But I put my
money and put my belief more on. It's going to
be one of those thirty five and ten type years,
and he has that kind of year with the Jets.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
That is very rosy prediction. And as for his reasonings
here in camp.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
I ain't paining for that.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Fox Sports Radio, The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon,
Special delivery Steve de Sager and from Mike Harmon. Tonight,
am I on the Denver Nuggets one win away from
winning the NBA Finals, and everybody else in the sound
of my voice was like, yes, one more win to
can the Finals be done yet?
Speaker 5 (13:31):
One more game? One more game, one more game? But
it's probably what ten days from now? Yeah, no, no,
it's I'm tough.
Speaker 4 (13:36):
Fourth of July.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
The next game is on the fourth for the next
here's the schedule the rest of the Finals, Game five, six,
and seven. Fourth of July Game five, Labor Day, Game six,
Thanksgiving Day, Game seven. But that's all the.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
Way so as people have wanted. Then the regular season
doesn't start till Christmas.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
No, Tyler Herro should be back by if not game five,
then definitely game six.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
So we hear about it's for three more games.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
If the Heat can win one more game and stretch
it out to Labor Day, they'll get Tyler hero back.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
It will happen.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
But before you get into a big topic of the NFL,
because really after news today, it's time to understand that
we now know what the worst NFL trade since two
thousand was. Let's hear Heat head coach Eric Spolstra who
at the media following the Heat defeat. I mean maybe
to the untrained eye, the Heat or not down three
games to one, and they can stop Nicole, you'll catch
I don't know. Maybe Ramona Shelburne got a question and
(14:31):
I don't know. Let's listen to Eric Spolstra talking about
the Heats now three games to one deficit.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
Yoka j exited the game.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
You guys quickly won a quick five or run to
cut it to five.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
From your view, what happened from there that allowed them.
Speaker 6 (14:43):
To hang on?
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Yeah? It you know, it felt like we had opportunities
offensively to score. Man, there's some strange things happen on
some of these possessions or just missing in the paint
or some timely miscues that led to turnovers, and then
(15:07):
you know they scored as not as if they're scoring
one hundred and thirty on us. It's just a the
context of when they would score or a breakdown that
just kind of kept things at day. Every time we
felt like we got it to six or eight, you know,
they were able to push.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
It to twelve.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
And you know that was certainly a frustrating part of
the game. You know, and and Brown was a big
part of that. You know, some of his random drives
and then plays in the middle of the paint, you know,
when you're expecting it to be you know, Murray or
or somebody else.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
Wept side first rup Will Gillary with the athletic coach.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Three out of the four games in this series, your
team has been under one hundred points. Of course, part
of that a slower pace.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
But what have they done to really disrupt you guys
on offense?
Speaker 3 (15:59):
Well, tonight, I mean it's been a little bit different
in each game. Tonight it was probably those you know,
quick hands either stripping us, you know, when we had
advantages on drives, the kickballs, you know, the Yolkic does
very well deflected passes or just some miscues. You know,
(16:21):
it's not like we had twenty five turnovers. But whatever
the turnovers were, sixteen or fifteen or sixteen, they just
led to scores that were deflating going the other way
when it felt like we had an advantage. So it's
probably a combination of some of those timely against us
(16:44):
turnovers and then some makeable shots that we didn't make,
you know, during those stretches when the game was in
the balance, when it felt like it was four or
six eight during those moments.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
I'll have to go back and track.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
That, but that's where I felt like probably the the
advantages were missed the most during those moments.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Burst Row on the right side Cooper morehead heat dot Com.
Speaker 6 (17:10):
Neither more nor Yokic shot particularly efficiently, But did you
feel like you got a real containment on their actions
and what was being produced for the other guys off
their actions.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Yeah, it's tough to say, because you know, Jokic was
in foul trouble, so they went to other things. You know,
they're Jokic shots, shot some threes. You know that, you know,
changes the dynamica a little bit. You know, for the
(17:42):
most part, I thought that that part of the game
was okay, it's the Gordon, uh, you know, dunks or cuts,
Porter at a couple of cuts and then Brown you
know when when Yokic was out, you know those drives
and and plays that were kind of just random plays,
(18:03):
attacking plays which he's fully capable of doing that those
were probably the most costly things.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
We're gonna go in the back to left side to Nick.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Spot Nick free del Espn. You praise the will of
the group throughout this whole stretch. What is the biggest
message you want to impart over there?
Speaker 3 (18:20):
Everybody's already talking about sorry to cut you off. Everybody's
already talking about it. Like I've been in those games
Game five. Those are not the easiest games.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
You know.
Speaker 3 (18:28):
At home, all we're focused on. I told the guys
feel whatever you want to feel tonight. That's fine. You
probably shouldn't sleep anything tonight, you know, any amount of time.
I don't think anybody will. You know, we have an
incredibly competitive group. We've done everything in the hard way,
and that's the way it's going to have to be
(18:49):
done right now again. And all we're going to focus
on is getting this thing back to the three Zho five.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
All right, yeah, I love how he just he finds it. Yeah,
you know, I don't want any more of this question?
Wait wait, you know who did it with Ramona Shelburne
the other night? And now, hey what always said? What
message you want?
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Yeah, you know the message? You know everybody's already at WHOA.
Why are you getting so upset about this? Why are
you jumping in and not letting h Nick Friedell ask
his question, Stan, why you so mad? Did you wind
up putting that money on Mike Harmon's credit card? It
was really was just it's weird when he decides, yeah,
I've just had enough of this, Like it's very strange.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
But Spolster gets that now. But at least he's answering.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
It's not like I've had enough of it and I'm
standing up for my chair and leaving mid question. It's
not that, yeah, I'm done, I'm questioning. I's heard was answer.
But let's be realistic about who this team is. Miami's
had a great run, but they're an eight seed, and
it's an eight seed that they earned, and they've fallen
behind by double digits fifteen times in this postseason, which
is what they did tonight. It's a Heat team that
(19:52):
was outscored in the regular season. Their point differential was
minus twenty six. This is the first team since the
nineteen fifty to make the NBA Finals after being outscored
in the regular season. I brought it up when Harmon
was here at one point of the playoffs that they
had to beat Chicago in that play and to stay alive.
They had already lost the play and opener right before
(20:13):
that to Atlanta in April. The Miami Heat record to
begin April was forty and thirty seven. So making it
to the NBA Finals, let's state the obvious, they've overachieved.
They're not the better team in this matchup, and we
said that at the beginning of the series. Look, it's
very simple.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
It's remember in a few good men when Kevin Bacon's
giving his opening statement and he says, oh, you know,
Lieutenant caf is going to try to pull a magic
act for you, bringing terms like code red and all
these different things, and will be entertaining. I'll cut into
a few officers. But in the end, the facts of
the case are Santiago is dead and Dawson and Downey
(20:49):
did it. Those are the facts of the case. That
is undisputed right now. That's exactly what happened. And yes,
it's the.
Speaker 4 (20:56):
Same thing with this In that movie that was great.
I've seen it.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
I've seen it a time, and that's the scene of
this series. You can say all you want and look
in the Heat and Heat culture and playoff Jimmy and
bam Adebayo and all this is great, but at the
end of the day, the Denver Nuggets are the better team. Yeah,
they are the better team than the Miami Heat. That's
the facts of this finals and that is undisputed. That's
what we're seeing right now. That's all we're seeing right now.
Speaker 5 (21:20):
Just winning the Eastern Conference playoffs was a huge, huge
accomplishment because Miami was the only playoff team with a
losing recording conference in the East. They went twenty four
and twenty eight in the regular season against the East,
and here they're the representative from the East in the
