Speaker 2 (00:31):
There, Rogers, I hope your throat gets stuck like that.
You talk like that forever, Rogers. Greetings and welcome inside
the Jason Smith Show with my best friend. His name
is Mike Harmon.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Rogers.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
They keep showing Aaron Rodgers, Rogers.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
It's been the Aaron Rodgers fests. Like every once in
a while they actually go back to the game. It's
in consequential now, it's look out how regal he looks
on the side.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
We're live at the Tirack dot com studios. Tirec dot
com will up you get there, an unmatched selection, fast
free shipping, free road has a protection and over ten
thousand recommended installers. Tirack dot Com the way tire buying
should be. NBC doing the right thing. We are showing
a long interview with Aaron Rodgers that's going on on
(01:25):
the sideline, not showing the game. What do we tell
what I tell you the other night was gonna be more,
more impressive and better. And Aaron Rodgers interview during the
game or the game itself. Rogers getting interviewed. I don't
know and have no idea what he's saying. They're bearing
the lead of Wilson.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Now we'll get to Zach Wilson in his brilliance Rogers.
But he's smiling like a little kid. I just got it,
bought a ten million dour house.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
He's wearing Jets gear like it's real. Like, Okay, I
know I saw him in practice gear, and I know
he signed, But seeing him on the sidelines in Jets gear, laughing,
doing the interviews, it's like, oh it's real. It's really
still practice, really real. It's like, oh, I got it
so much fun.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
I mean it is still practice when it's all said
and done. Uh so you haven't seen him do anything
real just yet. He just did an interview for like
that's great, but this is all stamina is good.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Well, we know he can talk.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Did he do anything like Sean Payton where he just
started blasting everybody he used to know.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
I don't know that's I'm fine watching it without sound,
with sound here in the studio, but.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
I'm staring at the bus and Canton, the long slow
walk where one day he'll be there.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know this. Rogers Rogers, Roger Rogers.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
I was more annoying, Mike. The woman are are Jason Rogers?
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Rogers? Jason? Wait? Who the woman in the commercial?
Speaker 2 (02:48):
It's a dude. It's a big burly uh pot belly dude.
Thanks for knowing the commercial, Frostburg. If you're gonna if
you want to, you have to at least know the commercial.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Rogers. I mean, he kind of looks like Smith what,
he just has more hair. They called me for and said, listen,
you know you don't to present yourself as a Jets
fan enough.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
I was like, hey, when Eric stone Street got all
those purple guy Northwestern ads, yeah, I was on campus.
I was in a video game. Yeah you bypassed me
for stone Street. I could have been on Modern Family.
I could have been a big deal. I could have
been Fizbo.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Could have been Fizbo. You would have coached the football.
I was okay, all right.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
I would have coached the hell on our team and
would have fought with Will Sasso. I would have had
all sorts of.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Advance because Jesse Tyler Ferguson would have been taller than you,
and he would have been very happy with that. I
think he would have been very excited for this guy.
That's great. Look at this right now, Hall of Fame game. No,
no Aaron Rodgers, but a dose of Zach Wilson. The
Jets lead the Browns right now, sixteen to seven. Offensive
woes already, and it air's a problem. And no, no, no,
(03:59):
If this is final score, just canceled the season. This
means that Jets are winning the Super Bowl. If the
Jets win the first game of a year sixteen to seven,
which was the score of when we won Super Bowl three,
that's it. It's over, arian fostered script. Just hit fast
forward on it all the way to the end and
go all the way through. Jets are winning the Super
Bowl sixteen to seven. I appreciate your excitement. That means
(04:19):
that the crash will be that much sweeter when it
falls to hell. But just as you.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Try to count your chickens before they come home to
roost Bobby Bouja, we got a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Well, there could be a penalty though. There could be
a penalty. Are you outside to be a penalty? Could
be a penalty.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Because they had that third down quote unquote stop where
they could be a penalty.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Could be a penalty. Yeah, Browns are in the end
zone now extra point pending may get sixteen thirteen in
a game where Aaron Rodgers did not play. Look, no
starters for the Jets played, no starters for the Browns.
The less for the Browns. I mean, it just kept going.
He did get attitude is bad. I think Joe Thomas
actually played a few bads. I'm gonna play and I'm
gonna do something one more time. Hello. So yeah, look,
(05:03):
but football is back and number one, whether you're a
Jets fan, whether you're a Browns fan with a football fan.
We made it to another year. We're watching real football
with real uniforms, and it's happening. And we saw a
former starting player play tonight in Zach Wilson. And that
was the headline for a while until they just kept
showing Aaron Rodgers on the broad Does Rogers look at Rogers? Hey?
DeMarcus Ware had the national anthem. That's great, But looking
(05:25):
at it, Rogers on the sideline, Rogers, Rogers on the sideline,
it's glorious. It's so just so, it's good. I like what.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I like happiness, this kind of hopen well over a decade. Well, no,
you haven't had this kind of hope since I don't
know when. Did they start spending all that money with
the Mets.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
No, no, no, no, no, the Jet because it.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
All bleeds together, because you can ride out bad seasons
with the other teams if one's doing well, and you
add all your eggs, the proverbial eggs will Actually, no,
you did it twice with the Jets.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
You did it with Sam Sam Sam, You.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Did it with Zach Zach Zach, And then we at
least had his mom. That was entertaining for a while
as that kind of crumbled, and now this year.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
But that was more hope. This is belief, this is well,
this is Rogers. Still a lot of hope, Rogers.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
But then you had the Mets spend all that money,
and then you had to really convince yourself how great
it was that they divested themselves of those pieces and saying, what.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
A great day. This is.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Meanwhile, the season is a colossal failure on so many levels,
and hope is.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Not there win of the year. You did sweaty Max Scherzer,
who was one play away from getting knocked out by
that game.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Boy that first inning, that was the most entertaining White
Sox baseball.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Have you seen I watched it? You know what he is.
I just want to say this, Max Schurzy, Yes, his
first stop one today for the Rangers, gave up three
runs in the first and was getting racked around thirty
seven pitches. The biggest seven, biggest play of that game.
He is a base hit to start the second inning,
and then Tim Anderson rips one. That's a base hit,
(07:05):
but because the second baseman Simeon is playing so close
to second, he's able to make a great spear double play.
And then instead of first and third, nobody out, it's
nobody on two out. Next batter gets a hit, next
batter walks, and then Surezer gets out of the inning.
He is that one defensive play away from not getting
out of the second inning at all. So yeah, kind
of a mixed bag for sure.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
And the Dodgers are forty five games over five starts.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
But stop. It doesn't mean this is about Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
You can't play the game like that.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
That guy's gotta get right to Yeah, we're not talking
about talking about Aaron Rodgers's fifty Rogers. We'll get to
something Rogers can't do. Squeaky at the end of your
first year. Discover credit cards. The end of your first year,
discover credit cards automatically double all the cash back you
(07:55):
are And that's right, everything you warn is doubled. Seriously
see terms and check it out for yourself at discovered
slash Match. So while Aaron Rodgers is busy doing interviews,
we're in a break down what he said, the inflection
he used, some of the words he used. Zack Wilson
started for the Jets tonight right now? Is that the
only guy that anybody really remembers or has heard? Oh yeah,
Zach rac Willson's play. I mean, if you're a big
(08:17):
college football fan, you remember Kellen Mond a little bit.
But Zack Wilson who started for the Jets of last
year until the Jets realize, okay, he stinks and now
we have to move on. This is the absolute truth
that I will tell you about Zach Wilson tonight and
look watching him play. I'll tell you a couple of things. First, Oh, dude,
do we have the big fifty seven yard pass from
(08:37):
Sach Wilson. Yeah, we don't have Zach will Really, who
the hell is not working? We don't have Zack Wilson's
fifty seven yard pass. Is this a real game? You mean? Yes,
it's a real game. People want to hear football highlights.
Does it matter if somebody wins, I'll just have to
make the call. Oh, look back to pass. It's Zack
Wilson's throwing at someone you've never heard of, fifty seven
yards in the yard. Its complete. You know who can't
(08:58):
throw fifty seven yards? Rogersp Aaron Rods could throw it
one hundred and fifty yards through a mountain if he
wanted to, not over mountain, but threw it right through
a mountain. So now I got to go talk to
our staff that we don't have the Jets highlight. We
have the Jets touchdown. I do want it. We have
the Jets touchdown. If you play the butt fumble, I'm
gonna come in there and we're gonna fight. Exactly what
you said. My passionalism there will be no pizza tonight.
(09:20):
I will not buy pizza tonight if you play the
butt fumble. I want the touchdown in at least six
different languages. I want it in English. I want it
in Spanish. I want it in French. I want it
in Portuguese. I want it in Cantonese. I want it
in boy. I'm running out of languages. I know I
want it in in uh Russian? Yes, why not? I
want it in in sure? Is that language like in Sweden?
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Remember this, though, when you threaten, hey, no pizza, you're
talking to the wrong guys over there doesn't mash neck
brace and I want it made out of yams. I mean, yeah, pizza.
So threatening them with no pizza that that's not a
really great threat.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
But Frostburg still gets something from the pizza place that
doesn't have cheese and ty shirt gets well on my
pizza instead of uh crust and bread. I would like
seaweed and instead of cheese, I would like a shredded
squash if I could have that on my pretty good though,
I had a nice seaweed salad earlier. All right, all right,
all right, you want that you want to touch down
from the night, No no, no, no, who'd like out
(10:27):
to the left?
Speaker 2 (10:28):
He pros Kelly cut it hit the two the one
he said to shot Kelly.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
John Kelly one anchor John Kelly does a game show?
Does he really? I worked with he worked in Chicago? Okay,
this is junior, yeah, uh no. So no Jets touchdown?
Played a touchdown? No Jets touchdown? And I know who
the Jets are. Oh my god, you are Okay, Okay,
if I don't get a Jets touchdown or that fifty
(10:55):
seven yard back again, no pizza really, no pizza. And
and I'm breaking a window onto Sager's car. So that's
what's gonna happen, just because just because you watch what
that was the best reaction. I mean.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
That line pull the fire alarm to off the threaten that.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
I think the.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Vandalism was Steve's long drive by there on the show.
I mean, welcome in Steve here.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
I was in supportive you getting the score in all
these languages. I was about to suggest Punjabi.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Actually, okay, we could do that, but I know if no,
I guess you can. I think it's acceptable. No, But
if I do that, Steve, I know you'd be on
my side even more because you don't want to break
through your window. I mean for no reason.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
You mean here the studio window because we can't see
each other.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Now, oh no, no, your car window, like the Fox
have to pay for that. It'd be your car window.
It'd be and tight shirt. He would have no tires
on his car when he went there at the end.
Forget forget about keying a car. You got where are
my tires? They're gone tires.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
It's a good thing. He's got Tirack dot comn gone.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
There you go. It's come full circle. There you go.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
That's a producer in action right there.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Not if I call Tirack dot com and say, you
know what, I know you have ten thousand locations around
the country, but ty Shirt's not one of your locations.
I'm sorry, No, just to get.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
It, well, they hook me up with some Vetti Stein
or some good Years, so it's okay.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
It could yeah, it could be General Tire. Sure they
give you something. A right, speaking of Michelin, how about
you do the read? Hey, how about I get it?
How about I get a good positive Jets play from tonight?
How about warning on? How about I get one of
those for the jets A condo for the touchdown. Jets Jets, Jets, Jets, Jets, Jets, Jets, Jets.
(12:32):
Mike Tarico NBC on the call, the first touchdown of
many on the year for the.
Speaker 5 (12:37):
Jets, honestly thought he was going to play the Yankee
Stanton highlight with the home run tonight because it just
went final.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Yanks far it is why, Oh he hit something good
for him? Yes, I want that Yankees King tried for
the double play and threw it ten feet behind the bag.
Speaker 5 (12:56):
He wasn't even near the That's the winning pitcher tonight.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
That's what I want to see. So he's in the neighborhood.
We are warming up here. We are rolling obviously Hall
of Fame game two and a half minutes ago. On
the third quarter, Jets lead the Brown sixteen fourteen. That
exactly doesn't matter. Your first loss in the year, sudden,
it doesn't matter. Now it's a practice game. The Jets
third and fourth stringers were fine, and we're getting interviews
with Aaron Rodgers. That's all.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
As soon as felt and hit the end zone, that
was it. It doesn't matter. It's like it doesn't matter. The
I think the Browns put all their you know, what
you know what happened? All you thought sixteen seven was
gonna hold up. You gave me trash immediately there's a score.
Remember that messy situation last night that goal got disallowed.
Harmon's still right. You know that touchdown held up?
Speaker 1 (13:41):
I said, the touchdown held up? It's okay. Yeah, but you.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
But you tried to talk it into like sixteen seven
was gonna be the AD. I just said, and it's
going to be great. I had to say it was
sixteen seven.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
I had to.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
I can't say it now. I had to say Walla
was sixteen Rodgers didn't even have the stones to play tonight.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
Come on, by the way, the rookie quarterback on the
field for the Dorrian Thompson Robinson leading the long touchdown drive.
Apparently his nine years of eligibility at UCLA finally over.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
I really did think he was gonna have one more
year at UCLA.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Really I thought he was hand that all down in
my notes for my comedy acts.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
He might be years. I had an interview that he
was excited to be moving to the Big ten. I'm
surprised about that. Be sure to catch live editions of
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten
pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific. Rogers, get those four Rogers, Rogers, Rogers,
(14:41):
welcome too, Rogers, Rogers, Rogers, Rogers, Rogers, Rogers, Rogers, Rogers.
I think even gonna play the fourth quarter? Is it
just gonna be? Another interview with Aaron.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Rodgers Rogers Rogers, Aaron Rogers, Rogers, Rogers, Aaron Rogers absolutely
rules though, which is worse this or doesn't sound good?
Speaker 1 (15:12):
When you're talking while I'm singing. It's doesn't sound good.
It does not sound good. It does not multiple voices
on the radio saying things doesn't sound good. That's radio
hour one day one. It doesn't sound it doesn't sound good.
It doesn't sound good.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Producer, What did you think of his analysis right there
of what sounded better?
Speaker 1 (15:31):
I'm gonna go with us talking over Yeah. I don't thought.
I don't think so. I don't think I need one
of those Phil Hendry things where I can say, like like,
I think he used to have this pedal where he
could step on the the audio and the caller's voice
would get lower and his voice would get higher. I
always heard that room right go you gotta He had
like a pedal that now this, I've heard this, I've
(15:53):
heard this. That that Phil had, who was an unbelievable
radio host for a long time, had a pedal that
when he wanted to because when you hear people talking
on the radio at the same time, it doesn't sound
great and there's argument going back and forth. But when
someone's talking another person, and he had a pedal that
he would step on it and and the caller's voice
he burns down and his voice level would be so
(16:16):
you could hear him, and the caller sounded at a
much lower level. I want that here from you.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Got that's not happened this radio stuff to us.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Dang.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
But when he hit the other pedal, it activated the
voice spots and he started saying, can you peel?
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Can you feel I do like I do? Uh? At
the end of your first year, Discover credit cards automatically
double all the cash back you are and that's right,
everything you earn is doubled. Seriously see terms check it
out for yourself at discover dot com. Slash Match fourth
quarter of the Hall of Fame game, Jets lead the
Brown sixteen to fourteen. It was a let's we've had
(16:54):
a lot about Aaron Rodgers. We'll have a lot more
on Aaron Rodgers Roger, But Zach Wilson started the game
tonight and he's all anybody is talking about following because
he's the only player most people heard of. Oh, Zach Wilson.
Look three out of five for sixty five yards. He
has the fifty seven yard completion where he really he
got it out there. Another couple of passes, one he
(17:15):
looked like he had a big he had a big
first down, He overthrew the receiver. He had a scramble
on third down where it looked like he was going
to get the first time, he slipped and fell two
yard short of the first down. This is this is
the reality for for uh Roger, for Rogers, this is
the reality for Zack Wilson. Tonight. Zach Wilson looked a
little bit better, and he looked a little bit more confident,
(17:37):
with the emphasis on the words little bit that that
Zach Wilson tonight he looked a little bit better, little
bit more confidence. That's kind of what it was. It's
not suddenly, Oh man, if something happens, I'm feeling great
about Zack Wilson. Nah, he's still kind of Zach Wilson.
But he did look a little bit better, and he
did throw the ball. He did look like he knew
where he wanted to go with the football a little
(17:58):
bit more than the last year, which he at all.
So I like that part of it. But still I'm
not sitting here going, hey man, we're all said, if
something happens and Wilson's gotta come play, no, no, no, no,
not it at all, And I'm not putting it out there.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
I'm not putting it. Just just kind of put that
out like if.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
Rogers gets a phone call or something, or you know,
too much ayahuasca tea before a game, well then I
you know, but I'm no, no, no, not saying that, Hey,
if Zack Wilson's got to play, No, he's a little
bit more confident. He threw the ball a little bit better,
emphasis on the words a little bit, And quite honestly,
he's auditioning for the other thirty one teams in the
NFL because Rogers is gonna stay with the Jets another
(18:34):
couple of years. His contract is going to come up,
and Zach Wilson's gonna have to wind up going someplace else.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Well, but in the interim, he does have to ramp
up as fast as possible.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Right.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
It's something that Rogers is addressed in the preseason because
he's been asked about his relationship with Wilson a lot
and talking about how he's got to get him ready, right,
that he's got to be ready to play. And you're
not trying to speak injuries into existence. But let's face it,
how many guys go through the full slate unscathed. It's
very few, especially when you're starting to hit thirty nine
(19:04):
to forty with a suspect offensive line, right, you still
you still have an offensive line that we're gonna have
some questions about. So the nimble feet of Aaron Rodgers
are gonna be huge to make this thing happen. But
when when you get down to it. For Zach Wilson, yeah,
it it's an audition there to keep his job at
the number two. Draft status doesn't matter. Mike White's not
(19:26):
walking through that.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
He's gone. At least he at least he's gone.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
He's probably gonna end up quarterback in some games from
Miami and beating you down the road. When it's all said, None,
think about that to Jayleen Walla, No, that Jets lose
Sauce Gardner got lost down the route.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
No.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
So for Zach Wilson, look you show a little bit,
show that it's not that it's settling down a little
bit for you. I mean, you're not gonna race any
of those narratives, right. The jokes are always going to
be written, They're always going to be out there. People
are gonna be trying to figure out what his mom saying.
Here's the picture of him looking like he's going to
his senior prom back on draft Day, which Frostberg, you know,
(20:06):
resurrected for us in our text chatterally or but it's
it's that next evolution. You're either in or you're out,
and with Rogers there, you just try to soak up
whatever you can. I don't know how great he is
in communicating and talking him up, but certainly you got
a guy that you can learn a lot from. And yes,
(20:27):
the season even goes to hack it right as a coordinator. Great,
he doesn't have to be the leader of everything so compartmentalized.
I have I have faith that there's some progress to
be made.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Well, look for Zach Wilson, Let let this illustrates that
you can come into the league, and you can come
in as as a great prospect who has the world
at his feet, but it's very quickly to turn into
a player that unless some kind of crazy circumstance, that
you're never going to start again. Right, Zach Wilson had
(20:58):
two years to try to figure out out and he didn't.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
It was so Jets, So I think the rest of
the league that Zach Wilson could have played like that
for anybody, he wouldn't even have gotten most of that
season with the Jets.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
He was terrible, And all he's doing now is trying
to stay in the league. No one's ever going to
trust him to be a starting quarterback again. He's hopeful
now at this point that another team will pick him
up to be the backup, or if the Jets want
to hold on to him as their backup as long
as Aaron Rodgers plays, because it doesn't matter when Aaron
Rodgers stops playing, they're not going to say, okay, Zach,
we've been helping you out. No, the Jets have been
(21:31):
doing this because yes, they want an experienced guy backing
up Rogers, who's who's been in quote the system that
they've had. Even though it's evolved over the last couple
of years. He's familiar with the personnel, so okay, him
backing up Rogers that that that's pretty good, then going
out to get somebody new. But make no mistake, he
is auditioning to be a backup quarterback someplace else. That's
how fast it happens for you in the NFL. But
(21:52):
that's how fast.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
You know, we were joking before Steedson Bennett, like, you know,
as we're off air and we're throwing all things around
doing and Thompson Robinson into the game and leading the
touchdown drive and how many years of college eligibility and
we see these guys coming in, It's like, well, how
old are they with Bennett? You know, there was the
graphic making the rounds with Sony Michelle retiring that they
(22:14):
were at Georgia together and the guy went and had
a full NFL life, He went and got like.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
He went off and he lived his life.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
And now Bennett finally taking those first snaps in camp,
So it goes fast.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
I mean, you didn't even wish Zach Wilson a happy birthday.
Happy birthday individual, Happy guys, Sorry your quarterbell, he's not Rogers.
Rogers Rogers Rogers twenty four today, Happy birthday, Happy birthday.
But the point being soldiers is hurt and camp play.
It'll be his guy, It'll be his guy. Justin Herbert
(22:50):
gets hurt. And so what happens after that is Dan
Fouts gonna play quarterback for you.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Wait Dan to be right now. He's going to be
railing about what's happening to the Pac twelve.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
But I think you just wished harm On a young quarterback,
not a really old one. Mike Rodgers, Wait wait, but
you just it doesn't miss a difference. He's fifty.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
It's science. He's getting hurt. Twitter it out about a

(23:34):
how fast it goes. For Zach Wilson, who is now
trying to stay in the league, and as far as
the game goes. What does seventy singer Bobby Russell have
to do with the game going on right now? Anybody? Anybody?
Bobby Bobby Russe Bobby Russell, singer of the song The
Night the Lights went out in Georgia. Because the lights
(23:57):
have gone out at the Hall of Fame game, they've
been out for the last five minutes. They showed Rogers
on the sideline sitting in the dark. Put people around
him so it doesn't trip on a wire or something.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Don't let him get up, bug, you just get the
flash lights on your phones out, carry him off the field.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Darkness retreat.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Yeah, I mean I really thought, look there's Dallas Cowboys
Hall of Famer Zach Thomas b Sure it is. But
like when the lights went down, I thought before the
fourth quarter started, they were gonna do like some.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Video montage like I thought it was.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
I thought it was all a work, like a presentation
of we're going to the fourth quarter of the Hall
of Fame game.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
So this is where Rogers gives everybody aohuaska on mushrooms.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
But look at the Jets getting Aaron Rodgers another darkness retreat.
I mean, I mean, we don't know. We can do
it for you, but we're gonna get it for you now.
The Hall of Fame take care of him.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
That's right, But you missed my whole Zach Wilson point
is that he's still younger than a lot of guys
coming into He's still a kid on a relative basis,
So the opportunity may be there. And if the worst
thing happens for the Jets, you better be ready. He
and Garrett Wilson better become best friends. Listen, he's Dwayne Crabbett.
(25:05):
I'm looking at Aaron Rodgers on the field, but he
is standing on the field.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
It's dark. You can't see that. Miles Garrett may take
him out, get him on to that fields, oh man.
Darkness retreat sudden, the lights go back on and Rogers
is gone, like he's not he's apparition. He was really
just a hologram the whole time. What the hell's taking
them so long? The referees are talking with the head
(25:31):
coaches at midfield, sala And and Stefanski are there. You
can still see, I mean you can you can still see.
The fourth quarter has not begun and it's fifteen to
get enough work. Definitely gonna call this man, you can
see and then you have no problem actually seeing you
know what it looks like. It looks like how no, no, no, no,
it looks like how a a football game is lit
(25:54):
when it's in a movie, right, like it's so dark
and but but the but the lights around the players
are there, Missmachines going, yeah, that's kind of how it
that's kind of how it looks right now. And I
don't know what they said, but they just talked to
the head coaches. Head coaches walked off the field right now,
So fourth quarter left to go. But darkness, DJ Hello
darkness Aaron Rodgers, old friend. Maybe with the Jets up
(26:17):
sixteen fourteen, they pulled a lever so they could win again.
Maybe that's what happened. Here comes Bud Gilmour. There the
lights went out, and Canon, yeah, I get know.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
We were watching, we were watching the game plan. So
on the list of all the coaches, you got Voyon
and you know, Billy, Bob Thornton and all these guys.
And then you've got the movie with the Rock where
he's quarterback named Kingman and his coaches Metavoy.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
From whit PD Blue.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
So you know, you never know who's gonna show up
on the sideline in the next movie you watch about
the football world. But I'm digging it, And yes, the
fourth quarter should just be canceled. Send everybody home, I mean,
but before that, gave him all ice s cream and
send them Protect Aaron Rodgers at all costs. Get him
off a dark field where I don't want him tripping
in fall.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
Hang out the card for him. Yes, let him go. Actually,
the only time in the wheelchair, the only time wouldn't
mind to see that the Paul Pierce Wheelchair. Be sure
to catch live editions of The Jason Smith Show with
Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
The name of the song Jason song is called put
your Lights on.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with My best
friend Mike Harmon. All right, tight shirt, I'll bite. What's
the name of the song? Well, oh you sinners sell them, Mike,
turn the lights out? Ah, there we go, said, punch
your lights out? Put your lights on?
Speaker 2 (27:47):
Oh on, Yeah, yeah, there's a monster under my bed.
But not the night the lights went out in Georgia. No,
not that, okay, but this is everlast. Yeah, lights are
back on at the Hall of Fame game, the in
the end zone. So they now have a lead over
the Jets. That the Browns the keyword over.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Yeah, the lights are back on now if you bet
the over. Congratulations the Browns there with about I would
say eleven and a half minutes left to go, we
had that delay for the lights going off. But now
back on Brown's lead the Jets. The fourth ringers of
the Browns are on board twenty one to sixteen, now
(28:29):
nine and a half minutes left to go in the game.
Our fourth stringers are better than yours. I'll love more
on this coming up in a few minutes, but today
was another crazy day in which the Big ten was
now given permission by the Big Ten. We've given ourselves
permission to go pursue Oregon and Washington to join the
(28:53):
Big Ten. And we've talked about this a lot for
the last few days. And number one, I keep thinking,
I'm so glad you squatted on that domain right for
Big twenty because really, when I said it a year ago,
the Big Ten's gonna get to the Big twenty and
they're gonna rebrand. Yeah, man, that's here, and you squatted
on that on that site and that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Yeah, we have two different domains, so we're covered in
we're covered both and I get ten percent and you
get ninety percent.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
Yeah, it's fine. Okay, that's good. So that's it.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Let's it.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
That's it. I say, look at that you did. You
did all the work, and I'm the idea I ten percent.
I'm good with it. No, I'm alright, it's fine whatever
you wind up selling it for when when the Big
ten command costs because I did have to register the domain.
Oh yeah, you got that back too. Yeah. But when well,
and then I'm on the call with with with you
when the Big ten calls to say, why, what does
it need? What do you need? What do you need?
What do you need? What do you need? What do
you need? What do you need? What do you want?
(29:41):
High rest? You actually run the site? What do you want?
Provide content for the conference? We really should have because
they're good. They're at fourteen now that'll be sixteen. Then
you know, Oregon State's gonna want to go, Washington State's
gonna want to go, Col's gonna want to go, Stanford's
gonna want to go.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
But the twenty from all reports, there's zero interest in
calor Stanfordy'll get just like we've surmised all along.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
But you gotta add you gotta add it. You gotta
add a couple of really smart schools. Man, come on,
you gottad not that. But Stanford's got that big repute.
For a while, Northwestern was able to carry it. But
now you got so much scandal and problem. By the way,
a lot of the guys talking Chrise, their stories don't
make any sense based on the what they've been doing.
But that's a whole other thing. Just think about what
you're all academic Big ten first team is gonna look
(30:25):
like when you add Stanford. I mean, come on, you're
gonna have like physicists and people that are going to
the moon and all kinds.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
Not to mention when you get into the just the
overall athletic department. I mean, obviously football rules today, but
you talk about the the breadth of sports excellence that
they've had in conference all these years, brilliant, But certainly
when you talk about it from a dollar and cents, uh,
you know, USC and UCLA are coming in as full members.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
These guys come in as full members.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
Sure they are, Yeah, they have to be because at
some point, everybody that's watching their share of the pie
chain angel.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
A little bit. We'll be like, hey, hey, get that
knife out of there.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Step taking slivers off Mike, do take more from Rutgers
in Northwestern.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
We're gonna be all right. Here's the thing is, we
got to boot some of you guys out of the
Big Ten. Now, you just gotta go.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
We gotta we gotta give some of that slice and
that money over there because that television deal ain't changed
part of it.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
What are we still in for? Let me hang on
field hockey and soccer, men and women, archery and uh
academic to kathlon. They you're still a proud member of
the Big ten. Well, and and then you can smoke
like Vincevan while you're on the rings. What about football
and basketball? Come on, guys, come on man, No.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
You could stay At the point is that you're sliver
of the television deal gets shaved a little bit if
Oregons coming in.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Hey, Rutgers, so you know, A yeah, I understand we're
all gonna take less money. No no, no, we're just taking
your money and giving it to Oregon. That's what we're
doing because we need that Nike money coming in man,
So I you know, I know, hey, University of New Jersey.
That's great, But so all the money you're getting the
next few years is now going to Oregon. I'm sorry,
Well it just makes sense. Hey, if you think you're well,
you want to call it Northwestern and tell them their
(32:11):
money's gone. I got to give it to Washington. I
gotta go one purple team to another purple team. You'll
get that phone call.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Then a lot of people will run around with money
in Evanston, no question about it.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
So things are changing, but they could be changing even more.
Oh wait till the hot take we have for you
coming up next ride of your plus more on the
Hall of Fame game coming down to it. This is
Fox Sports Radio
