(00:48):
where teams are forged in iron and fire. When you
have one squad looking to win their twenty fifth consecutive
preseason game, the Ravens streak, the drive for twenty five
is on the ropes right now. The Commanders have the
football down too, with just under two minutes left to go,
(01:12):
they are driving a field goal could end this incredible
streak that we have talked NonStop about for the last
eight years. I don't know anything bigger could happen in
the NFL this year. Aaron Rodgers could get traded before
the season began, it would not be as big.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Jason. The Ravens are bringing ray Lewis and for this.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Yeah, they want to make sure Man's playing center field
here now.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Eh Terrell Suggs is still gonna play. Oh yeah, sure
they get bringing everybody back. Everybody's coming back.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Now there's bowl where there's helldi not I just signed
up for an run one of my favorite players of
all time. Who's the backup kicker for the Commanders?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Do we know the command Joe Fisman's warming up on
the sideline to try to win this game?
Speaker 4 (01:58):
Well, I mean they've already got the at least if
the game were to add right now, they were plus three,
so they already get the you know, the the fun
excedon dropped excitement of a moral victory. But then you
just had a perfectly thrown ball after a scramble.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
And a drop.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
And then you can see the angst of the new
owner of everybody else looking around like what are we
doing here.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Uh, Jake from escapes the pocket as a receiver wide open,
he would run for probably another fifteen or twenty yards,
but it's a little bit overthrown. So now the Commanders
are facing a fourth and eleven. The drive for twenty
five is gonna come down to one play and the
Ravens take a timeout. Ravens taken it.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
But that that was such a half assed effort to
catch that ball.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
That was just terrible.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
The Ravens taken time out. It's fourth and eleven in
the final minute of the second preseason game. You're talking
about third string players in the Art's gonna time. It's
gonna time. Don't tell me they don't want to win
this game. Don't tell me they don't want to win.
They're calling time out on fourth and eleven with a
minute left to go. Ah, this is the best look
(03:10):
at John Harbaugh. I care so much about this. People
are gonna say two things about me. He won the
Super Bowl at Joe Flacco And how about that preseason streak.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
They I know, you know, Sam Cosby, you know during
the week said who gives a blank? Yeah, that's part
of the Commander's side. It's like, well, then you're you're
looking to lose our teammate already. Spaniard would just be
salty about that, saying you don't care.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
How dare you of I love? How much? How much
ESPN is invested in this storyline?
Speaker 5 (03:39):
They know they got you.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yes, highlight to the last time they lost the first
game to start the streak. Here's how they did it.
Highlights from back in twenty fifteen. It's amazing. It's amazing
to lean into it.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
If you've got the television rights to it, you have
to lean into it as hard as you can.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Oh, and it's gonna be a first down for the Ravens.
Pass interference is gonna be called. If all the Commanders
are gonna have the football near midfield, look out, Mark
Moseley's getting ready to come in.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
Potentially he's super toe baby, let's go out.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Pass interference keeps this drive alive for the Commanders. Don't
pop that champagne just yet, Not just yet. Kyle Bohler
and the guys are all sitting around going, hey, Champagne, Champagne. No,
not just yet.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
So if they lose here, do I sell all my
futures on Lamar Jackson and everything else that the season
suddenly becomes lost and and all confidence is shot.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah, you gotta dump everything. I mean, you gotta dump
every single thing you have, Ravens wise, it's over.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
I mean I've invested in a lot of shares in
Lamar Jackson fantasy wise this year.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Another first down, Now they're over midfield. Oh man, five'smen
just completed one to Art Monk. Everybody's jumping on the
field now to try to win this game. This becomes
some kind of game. You got Art Monk in well
and that and that keeps the Art Monk cat streak alive.
Speaker 5 (05:00):
Well, yeah, you got you got to do that.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
I'm going back to the nineties for that one. Uh
from goes deep and it's dropped. So thirty five seconds
left to go a little bit over. Tinsley's outside of
his reach. And so now there's thirty six seconds left
to go. The Commanders have the ball.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
You're so invested right now.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
This is so much fun, the drive for twenty five.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
He's a Jets fan, Mike, he's got nothing.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
He's still.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
Rolling off the high of that Zach Wilson scramble.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Oh you guys want to hear it?
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Yeah we haven't. Yeah, yeah, the Zach Wilson scrat and
had you better play the scramble. If you're going to
jump in and you better play the script. Don't play
something else. Play the scramble. Oh yeah suddenly now oh
I was going to play the butt fumble, but now
we're not going to do that.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Remember it's it's not Alex Teyser tonight, so you would
not get normal roperi of craziness.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
We have a scrambl the scramble tom more than an
Indiana a bust play here and then so you just
gets hit. The ball is loose and it's alive.
Speaker 6 (06:04):
I have never seen this before in my life.
Speaker 5 (06:06):
Watch this.
Speaker 6 (06:07):
Vince will Ford is gonna throw Brandon Moore back into
his quarterback back. He's gonna fumble the football. This is
what Reggie White used to do to people for clift
him and just lift them off the ground. Mark Sanchez
not expecting it, and it was the backside of Brandon
Moore or to knock the ball out.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Yeah. See, I knew it was coming. Everybody knew it
was coming. Everybody knows coming. Let's go this. If you're
gonna play the scramble, at you the scramble like clock at.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
Four, he's back to throw green Mann Ross well.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
Protected now spins out of troubble, runs to his right, shakes.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
And bakes at the forty five, gets.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
Up the sideline of the fifties.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Out of the forty inside the thirty five cuts it back.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Pats isn't a man all the way down inside the
twenty five to the bucks twenty two.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
It takes Aaron Rodgers' job.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Jets Radio Network on the call. Yes, that was a huge,
huge moment from the maybe the greatest preseason moment that
we could have seen.
Speaker 5 (07:03):
That's not real related yet.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Well, yeah, because now the Ravens have called another timeout.
They've called another time out now on third and four
to try to figure it out. I mean, this is
just outstanding, man. We don't care about you.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Play like you practice and they are taking this all
the way down to the final seconds. They are gonna
ring this out and force the commanders to beat them.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
I like it.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
No, we don't care about this, dude. It's you called
time out twice in the final minute of the end
of a preseason game where you just want to let
people get off the field without getting hurt. No, no, no, no, no,
you cannot have one person tell me after the game,
we don't care about the street. Can't do it, can't
do it well.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
It's just funny, right in operating in sharp contrast to
everything going on this week, the number of joint practices
that are either canceled all together or taken in downsize
from two days to one. I had of the preseason finales,
we had the the injury with New England and all
(08:03):
of that that ensued thereafter that. You know, as much
as we've opened it up and started talking about the
change of the preseason, now we're airing on the side
of caution in this final week. Except in this game,
where we will play it until these zero's hit and
the final gun sounds.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
It likely is gonna come down to a field goal
attempt because a third and four pass for a first
down to tremain the time out by Washington. They have
the ball on the periphery of field goal range for
Joey Slier right now, looks pretty nervous on the sideline.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Jason, it's Ashley Ray Finkel.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
It's a Finkel is Einhorn. Einhorn is Finkel. They keep
cutting away to Josh Harris. It's at the thirty nine
yard line right now, so it's a fifty six yarder.
But Washington still has one time out left to go,
and there's twenty six seconds left. They can really try
to go down the middle of the field and get
something in here. From From hasn't been it hasn't been
(09:02):
this involved in stuff since. Oh my god, you got
to go back to like like Georgia Alabama, like in
twenty eighteen. You gotta go back. This is great, this
is great. But John Harbaugh is so nervous right now. Look,
the Raven's got everybody on the line of scrimmage. They're
bringing that, bring in the heat, let's go.
Speaker 7 (09:19):
This is the best. Oh and it's a first down.
Oh it's dropped. Oh no, wait did he catch it?
Oh my god, we have drama. Hang on, Tinsley, I'm
waiting for the replay now. Oh no, look at John
Harball going.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
No catch, no catch? Oh wow, From was blitzed. The
Raven sent everybody and it looked like it was gonna
be a catch and a touchdown run. But it just
went off Tinsley's fingertips, like he's got to catch this.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Are you watching on one of those?
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Like he looked Jack Morris like TVs where it was
a huge, huge thing and had like a one inch
by one inch screen.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
I mean, he's got it. Nobody touches the bonnet in
his hands.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
He no, no.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
No, no, no, he dropped No, no, he drops it.
I'm not saying he didn't drop it. I'm saying, how
do you drop it? Like you had it in your
hands and then and then it just fell out and
just hold on to it and you're kicking a field
goal at least, but like it just he just catches
it and nobody puts a hand on it. He comes
down and.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
He's saying, maybe it's a catch because he does stumble
a couple of yeah, a couple.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Of he didn't control it. No, I don't think he did.
I don't think he did. No chance, you know he
caught it. If he he didn't even catch it clean,
Like he caught it and then had to had to
grab it again. Yeah, like if he had caught it
once and then tucked it under it maybe, but he
caught it and then it tipped up a little bit
and he had to catch it again. So yeah, now
(10:43):
you should be second down for washing.
Speaker 8 (10:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
I could have been I was the guy. You're right,
like he's gonna walk away years from now because's gonna
get cut Like Millhouse, weren't weren't you the guy name
Athu Staik? Weren't you the guy that caught that big pass?
And yeah, I ended the streak for the Ravens.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
I mean, he'd be signing autographs, he'd be eating and
drinking out on that forever.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Would sign it raven.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Killer, he would sign it. He would sign it. It
stops at twenty four and then he would and that's there.
Everything would go.
Speaker 5 (11:11):
There less than twenty five.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Oh, this is exciting for twenty five with the giant
circle and shtrike through it.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Yeah, and the ESPN with a font again. Ravens won
twenty four consecutive preseason games. Just keep putting it up there,
Just keep putting make short people know, we don't anybody
turn that the.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Only way reason anybody would be watching at this point.
Is there any reason that we're talking about it?
Speaker 9 (11:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (11:33):
This is it. I'd mean, like the time is long
gone for anything else.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
I did like that there was a shot in the
crowd of a Ravens fan losing his mind and his
kids behind him, Like what the hell's wrong with you,
old man?
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, from goes deep again, overthrows Tinsley. I don't know
why you go back, So we just dropped the last one.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
Well, you know what, you want to show faith in him,
You want to show that he's he's still your guy.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
So now it's third and ten with eighteen seconds left
to go. I mean, Eric Bienemy, let's see what he's
got dialed up here. So suddenly he's gonna be the
guy in the field going. I should have been a
head coach. I should have been a head coach.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
I stopped the street, says Sam Howell.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
Back out there, go Sam.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
I can send Jay Schrader back out. Yeah, lots of
guys want to get back in this game. Lots of guys.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Here comes Ray Lewis.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
So you again, it's a third and ten. If they
don't get it, don't get a first down here, it's
going to be a very long field goal. They get
about eight on a pass to Allen. So now tell Allen.
So now it's going to be fourth and about two
with twelve seconds left, and it looks like this is
going to be a Commander's field goal at ten. Tell
me the commanders aren't playing to really win this game.
(12:39):
Oh no, no, we would just know a regular offense
going no, no, no, let's get out of bounds and
kick a field goal. Really, it's like it's like a
regular season game. I did this. That's what's so fun
about this, both sides of training like it's like it's
a regular season.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
I mean, look, this is Nathaniel Hackett trying a guy
out from sixty three in a season openers. Sure he
might as well super told the hell out of this.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
If you can, this would be a makeable forty nine yarder. Now, however, wait,
a timeout was called on the field, so we are
waiting to see the final. Well, the the the referee
walked over and stood in front of the snap so
they couldn't snap and put it down. And John Harbaugh's
complaining about something. This is great.
Speaker 5 (13:21):
This is this is really good.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Watching it called timeout. Oh, this is so awesome. This
is the most entertaining preseason game that I think we've
seen in years. Just because it's not really a preseason game,
they're playing it like it's regular season.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
Oh no, no, this this might as well kick off
the regular season forget about next week. I mean, this
has all the drama, all the makes I mean, all
the crowd shots have been fantastic over the course of
the night. Yeah, I mean all the costumed characters that
support both squads are there.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
I mean, you've got all of the.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
To make it.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
It's a Crosstown classic come to life for us here
on Monday night.
Speaker 5 (14:03):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
And the field goal attempt is going to be from
forty nine yards bucket it is good. Oh No, Commanders
take a twenty nine to twenty eight lead with nine
seconds left. Look at the fans in the stands, all
dressed like the hogs hell to the Commanders victory.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Josh Harris high five and everybody, I mean like he
was back in the booth with Joe.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Buck This is this is this is just outstanding. Nine
seconds left. So if you're the Ravens, I mean, what
do you, oh, Jermaine Lewis may return this kick that
that's how they may try to win. Men, Wow, look
at this. The street could end for everybody's hugging and
let this is great.
Speaker 5 (14:56):
It's Joey Slye.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Your MVP. I am so digging this.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
He slyly split the uprights.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
TJ be sure to catch live editions of The Jason

tuning in right now, Yes, the biggest preseason story of
the past decade, the Raven streak is over twenty four
consecutive preseason victories. Out the window, Joey Sli makes a
forty nine yard field goal to win the game with
(15:58):
nine seconds left. Raven's got the ball back for a
final play, ball gets picked off and both teams. This
is easily the best preseason game of the last decade,
and Joey Sli made the biggest preseason kick in preseason history.
Because both teams treated the end of this game like
it was a regular season. They're calling timeouts and we're
(16:18):
playing for a field goal. And field position. This was
just awesome on so many levels, and you could tell
how much the Ravens wanted it, how much the Commanders
wanted to win this game. From is yelling and screaming.
I mean, I don't think From's yelled in screaps. They
beat Alabama, you know six years ago when he was
there playing quarterback and Joey Sly makes the field goal
(16:39):
to win, and I don't know, Mike, I'm telling you
there have been some big preseason kicks, maybe the biggest
preseason kick in the NFL history. I know there's been
a bigger one. Look I dig that.
Speaker 4 (16:49):
You know we've been talking a lot about the last
couple of weeks of killing off these games, what meaning
do they have?
Speaker 5 (16:56):
When we found one?
Speaker 4 (16:58):
We found one to make our case why you still
have to play these things, why they still matter and
can't go away outside of giant dollar signs in my
eyes about gate revenue and concessions and parking.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
But this was it was exciting to watch, right.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
You got sucked into it, and for you and me
that will be here for you every Monday and Thursday
Night Live and of course Friday for whatever fun and
excitement The college world yields breaking down games as they
happen and the good, the bad, the ugly.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
This was a nice little tune up for us as well.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Eric the enemy can put this on his resume, going,
I should be an NFL head coach. I stopped the street.
Nobody else could stop the streak.
Speaker 5 (17:39):
Here I am.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
I stopped the streak.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Offense got down the field that we won.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
Got to be pretty excited from what he saw from
his starter, you know. And and again we talked to
Jason locking for about it a little last hour. You know,
he's there in Baltimore and he's checking all this stuff out,
and yes, the Ravens didn't dress all their number ones
and all of that stuff. You can only play and
put stuff on tape against two decides to show up
and strap on the pads. And for Sam Howell, you
(18:06):
get some big moments there. Obviously we're keeping an eye
on mclauren and the toe injury. But for the Commanders,
you're starting from zero, right, Yeah, you won eight games
last year. Whatever, You're in a completely new regime and
the enemy coming in. Whatever players think about his practice
habits and how he treats them, whatever, he's gonna have
(18:28):
them prepared to play, and you've got enough talent on
that offense that you should have a little bit of
hope for the season and anything you can use as
a springboard to show game and situational football at its finest.
Well for the enemy, it's to win, right, not just
down the scoreboard. But he actually got these guys to play.
(18:49):
He got into the two minute drill offense, and you're
able to move the ball into fel position for Joey Sly.
And maybe I'm selling this a little bit too much,
but damn it, you gotta take something for the game, guys.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
I want to take you back to when nobody believed
in us. When When when when we first took the
field together. No, I'm gonna take you back to Week
two of the preseason. It's right late in the fourth quarter,
in front of dozens of fans that were scot They
were still crowded. Man, people weren't leaving that game.
Speaker 5 (19:18):
You saw those kids, they're back in school, didn't matter,
they were still there at eleven thirty at night.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
I don't think school has started yet on the East Coast.
I don't think it has. I think it's just I
think I think it's just us out here. Yeah, yeah, dude,
I think it's just I don't think. I think in
Florida and places that are really hot, school has started,
but yeah, mostly I don't think they go back yet.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
Well, the kid's got a beach day out here in
the day after the storm.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
We still got time go What do you got?
Speaker 3 (19:44):
How upset is uh Dan Snyder right now for selling?
Oh yeah, I mean the biggest win for the franchise
in thirty years.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
I mean, if you, if you're Josh Harris, you could
flip the team right now and make an extra billion.
Speaker 5 (19:56):
Dollars and we look much better.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
You can flip them right now. Hey, you just beat
the Ray another billion.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
Well, I mean there were other bidders out there. Would
do you the league allow it? Or is it like
a house when you're supposed to stay in him for
two years? Otherwise you gotta pay all your games.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah, I don't know about that. I don't know. I think, well,
I look at it this way. I don't think the
NFL is going to turn their their back to Oh
you can sell a team make an extra billion dollars.
Oh okay, Well then that's fine.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
Everybody gets so.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
Yeah, yeah, that they'll allow you to do that.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
I don't think that's gonna be Say, no, Magic Johnson's
tweeting about his new team, is it, dude?
Speaker 1 (20:32):
This is his biggest win since the ninety one NBA Finals.
Come on, man, look how excited Magic is. This is
a big deal. You stopped that twenty four game win
streak twenty fifteen, the last time the Ravens lost in
the preseason. Nobody wins games that don't count better than
the Ravens do. Uh. Now, we have it for you
right now. We've been we've been getting it ready. Here
it is the greatest kick in the history of preseason
(20:56):
football in the NFL.
Speaker 8 (20:59):
It's a forty nine yard attempt. Came Cheeseman to snap.
That's what's good. Way it gets it down. Kick is
on its way. It is up, and it is good.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
It takes the league but nine seconds to go. Here
it goes. The streak is over. Commanders Radio Network.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Now the key there, haul key to that, Jason, is
that the long snapper is cheeseman.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
Sure sure you with your celebration of cheese. We can't
let that go unstated.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Right there? Yeah, just and TJ clearly no holes in
Cheeseman's play. He makes the snap and Sly and his
family Stone make the kick to win the game. Cheeses
their biggest preseason kick ever, no kick with more pressure
than that kick in the preseason. Right there?
Speaker 4 (21:50):
Are you selling on your Raven's futures? It's eight seven
seven ninety nine. How much does this loss mean?
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Oh? I mean, it's like we got an extra regular
season game, because that's what this is like at the end.
It's like we got an extra regularly you know, it's
like it's like, you know, the watching this game felt
like this. I'll tell you exactly what it felt like.
It felt like when you you know, it's it's too
early for you to get up to watch the entire thing,
so you watch like the the last half of the
(22:18):
fourth quarter when the game that goes on in England
or Germany, because it's you know, it's so early in
the morning, but.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
Watching the second half of an English Caremier league right
at six am.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah, yeah, no, I'm gonna watch the second half of
whatever of the jackar you know, I'm gonna watch the
fourth yeah, yeah, cause it's too early to watch the
whole game. But okay, I'm gonna get up and watch
I'll watch the end of the fourth quarter because that
kind of goes right into the pregame shows and and
then the game's on, so I'll watch it. That's kind
of what it felt like. I, Oh, I'm getting a
bonus guy, I'm getting the end of the game that's
(22:48):
in England or Germany, whoever they're gonna play. And that's
kind of how I felt with this. Yeah, but it
was everything you could watch.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Then, right when your broadcast partner leans into it the
entire way, giving you as many stats and highlights from
the streak as.
Speaker 5 (23:04):
You can, and you and I, you know, we're in
mid season for him already.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
This is the best Jason you know who agrees with us?
Who does Troy Aikman?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Oh? What did Troy Aikman say?
Speaker 3 (23:15):
This is the greatest preseason game I've ever been a
part of.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Here you go, he's stealing from our tweets. I tweeted
that out like ten minutes ago ago. Everybody's stealing our
tweets that look at that. Oh my goodness. Uh hey,
so this is a very very very big going on.
John Harbaugh has already spoken about this that it was
a great game, gave a lot of credit to his defense.
(23:39):
I believe he is resigning as head coach of the
Ravens following this game.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
After that, I don't know that you can go on
after after all that build up, we can take over
for him while he's.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
No, no, no, they're just gonna switch jobs. That's what it's
gonna be. Yeah, Jim Harball will come coach the Ravens.
John goes and coaches Michigan and there's no suspensions. I
think that's okay.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Yeah, a big big thing. Yeah, I mean I know,
I can you show you? I mean, I have to see.
That's a show. Patting that idea. Brother Swap is is
a show that just hasn't happened yet. Patt in that idea.
Trust me, creepy, two guys, Oh no no, because there's
your show brother Swap right now. It doesn't get too creepy.
He gets nothing illegal. But well, okay, so brother Swap
(24:20):
twins to just two identical brothers, right, just drop me.
No no, no, no, no, that each do different things for
a living. They swap identities at work for a week.
One goes to one person, Like, I mean, you can't
have it if one guy is a doctor and then
he goes and these you know, but if you had
(24:42):
but if you had a guy that was, you know,
in a business, like he ran a business, and somebody
out there they do they do brother swap for a
week and then nobody knows that it's the guy's twin
brother and they have to go in cold and be
able to try to uh to figure things out.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
Steroids. That's a show, right, I have to apprise you
of all my coworkers. There's quirks and what nicknames we
have for each other.
Speaker 5 (25:03):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
That's a show. That's a show right there. All right, now,
I got a question for both you guys. Get your
thinking caps on.
Speaker 5 (25:09):
Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
So I was trying to find out the last time
Jake from Made It had as big a game as
he had tonight, right, okay, So I'm trying to go
back and see where he was in Georgia, what year
they beat Alabama, all that stuff. If you start typing
in Jake Frohm's name, what do you think populates before
you get before you are finished typing his name, like
something populate this like Jake from Oh my goodness, what
(25:33):
do you think populates before you finish typing his name.
Speaker 9 (25:36):
I am guessing that Google will say, do you mean
Jeff Brohm?
Speaker 1 (25:41):
Is a key on the name Jake? No? No, did
you mean Jeff brom No? It populates to something. It populates, right.
I think Sam's got it. Guess what do you got? Sam?
Speaker 5 (25:53):
Is it? Before you enter the m?
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Is it Abe Frohman? No?
Speaker 5 (25:58):
Chicago? Did you mean Abe?
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Are you saying you are not too? I say I am.
Speaker 9 (26:03):
That's like when you type in greatest French military victories and.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Google comes back with did you mean the.
Speaker 9 (26:09):
Greatest French military defeats?
Speaker 4 (26:13):
Because I think just Jake before I get the f
up there? It could be Jake from State Farm. That's
exactly what it is.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
That right, type in f r M and it populates
to Jake from State Farm. That what comes up there?
Speaker 5 (26:25):
You just the only other Jake? I mean what Jake Plumber?
Speaker 9 (26:28):
Yeah, sure, that's who you're talking about this late at night,
Jake from State Farm.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
Because I started typing his name.
Speaker 5 (26:35):
Actually, st I let a touchdown drive.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
We won the game? Sure, Jake from Jake from Commander?
Sure you did? Because I started typing and it started
to pie. So because you know, because I've been doing
this now for more than a minute. As soon as
something populates, I'm typing in, I you know, hit return,
and so I see Jake from and I just see
the population hit return. I go, oh my god, it
popu to Jake, and then all picture of the dude
Jake from State Farm show up, all up and down
(26:58):
my computer. That's what Jake, that's what it does.
Speaker 5 (27:01):
Now that's fun too.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Now maybe now after leading this drive and breaking this
whole streak by the by the Ravens, maybe he's hype
in and start typing in and instead of Jake from
State Farm, Batt'll populate today.
Speaker 9 (27:13):
Maybe now, by the way, the Georgia Georgia Tech game,
he was in four touchdowns, no interceptions, beat the rival.
Maybe that's the biggest game he's had few years ago.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Okay that was about was that twenty nineteen? Yeah, when
he won that game? Okay, all right, Because he had
a great college grand absolutely phenomenal career, and he started
out with the Bills for a couple of years. I
think he played a little bit for the Giants last
year and now here he is trying to stay in
the league. He was really good play. He's another guy
I thought was gonna get drafted a lot earlier than
he was. He was a fifth round pick of the
(27:44):
of the Bills, and I thought his senior year going
into it, or his junior year, I'd like, oh, yeah,
he's gonna he's gonna be a first round pick. This
kid is fantastic.
Speaker 9 (27:51):
Now his three years at Georgia, it's about eighty touchdown
passes and only twenty interceptions.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
Wo man, he had some kind and now this is
this is it, this is he may as well retire.
This maybe is metaphor right now, that's it right now.
Speaker 9 (28:04):
Well, we'll find out on the twenty ninth when Whens
come down.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
No, no, he's got, he's got, he's got to jump ahead.
There's gonna be a joint press conference where he retires
and John Harbaugh quits as Ravens had got. Well.
Speaker 9 (28:14):
Actually, they did point out on the broadcast that new
third quarterback rule the NFL has. Now he's got to
be on the fifty three man roster. But kind of
like when the Niners actually needed a quarterback get in
some small game called the NFC Champion.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Ready, Yeah, I can't believe no one's updated Jake From's
Wikipedia page.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
Yet oh well, just saying.
Speaker 9 (28:35):
Hey, well, if he was in college, this would be
the ultimate nil deal for the company.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
He just referenced.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
No, that's right, just like we were looking up the
Coldest and kool Aid Mgainstrea and going through all and
I and.
Speaker 9 (28:53):
A defensive player for Alabama that was named preseason All American.
Today his first name.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
Is kool Aid.
Speaker 9 (28:59):
You well, you know, well, does he not have a
deal with a sugary drink?
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Well? You know why he's so good because he just
breaks through the line every time he's spent the ball. Yeah,
he's in the backfield.
Speaker 9 (29:10):
Could use a couple of pounds less, I think, but.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Boy, he just breaks through anyone he breaks through wolf
watch this, Oh yeah, in the back you can't even
hand the ball off. He's blowing.
Speaker 9 (29:21):
Got to be doing that in the Alabama home games
with the fans, absolutely no.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Question about it here that they play that big oh yeah,
like right after play.
Speaker 9 (29:31):
That's how he enters the field with the team.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
He's first he gets to be Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
Well, boy, do we have a birthday that we have
to celebrate with you coming up next? Keep it right here,
Jason and Mike This is Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Well, have more NFL coming up in a few minutes. Yes,
I know you're shocked, you're tuning in. I gotta get
updates on this. Yes, the Ravens streak is over twenty
four preseason games and out the Commanders break that streak,
winning twenty nine to twenty eight.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
Shocking off across the NFL.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
We will have more on this story and a big
suspension coming up. And if we haven't gotten to Jim
Harboy yet, but there's a great, big hot take coming
off of news that now Harboy's going to be suspended
for at least three games this season. It's very complicated,
but there's a huge, huge takeaway from this coming up
(30:37):
in a bit. But you know, we were about positivity.
You want to always talk about positive things, and you know,
this is something that I really want to bring attention
to because you know, you always hear Harmon say, hey,
however old someone is, if they unfortunately passed away, Harmers,
that was a good run. Gotta be thirty eight, fifty eight,
sixty it's a good run. It's a good run. Today,
(30:57):
sister Jean Yeah, celebrated her one hundred and fourth birthday.
Born Jean Delora Schmidt in August twenty first of nineteen nineteen.
Yeah Chaplin for the Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team Loyola
University of Chicago. Became a huge overnight rock star at
(31:19):
the age of ninety nine a few years ago. And
when we watched Loola make a big run in the tournament,
she turned one hundred and four today was tweeting. I
don't know if she tweets or if someone else follows
her account, but she puts out a tweet. She just
did an interview with I think the Chicago Sometimes about
her life, and you talked about death, and I'm like,
why would you talk to someone who's hundred and four
(31:39):
years old about death? Why would you do that? I
don't understand.
Speaker 5 (31:42):
But a hundred no, it's gonna come up, I mean yeah,
but still.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
I mean, come on, how do you feel one hundred
and four? I feel pretty good.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
It's a celebration of life at that point.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
Is right? It is? It is unbelievable. She is one
hundred and four years old and I keep looking. You'd
try to find out, like, hey, like what's your big secret?
Like what did she eat? Because you always see people
who lived to be to be that all, like what
did they eat? What did they eat? And they always
say things like, well, I just ate rice every day,
A right, you know, I just had That's all I had.
Speaker 5 (32:08):
Every day, was right, smoke and drink.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
Okay, well right, then you get somebody go, yeah, I
had a drink every day. I had from when I
was thirty years old. I had a glass, I had
a I had a whiskey every day from from what
from when I got home from work? Every single day?
About it? And I want to know, okay, like what
is it? Like, I want to know, like she's one
O four and she is rolling man and it's fantastic,
and it's like, what what's her secret? I mean, okay,
is it Loyola basketball? I don't know. I don't know
(32:31):
what it is.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
Well from Chicago Sports, it's a uh the social there
of a you know, just a new news and media company.
They put it out on the day that she was born.
Shoeless Joe Jackson went three for five with three RBI
for the team that would become known as the Black Sox.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Shoeless Joe was still playing like that was like.
Speaker 4 (32:51):
The it's the Black Sox scan When she was born,
he only had like a month left in his baseball dryer.
Comes eat the Phillies five to one in a game
that took an hour. In thirty nine minutes, the Bears,
the Bulls and the black Hawks did not exist.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
Oh my goodness, Jason, I can tell you what she's
not eating.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
What is she not eating?
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Big Max?
Speaker 1 (33:12):
How do you know how she said it?
Speaker 3 (33:13):
But she's one hundred and four.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
Maybe she has one, how I know? Maybe that's the key,
Max sauce is the key to life? Who knew that?
Maybe you know, some kind of short life sure, some
key to something, something that used as a glue, you know,
I don't know. Maybe that what thousand island dish type?
You know, spreads might not be so bad. Maybe you
need to have cheese every day. I don't know, But
(33:36):
for everybody is different, everybody.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
But I will that's instead. The human body is a
wonderful mystery. Yeah, she's a hundred and four, still doing
the Lord's work and bringing folks together.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
Still do it, still doing interviews. Yeah, and around, and
it's it's amazing. It's absolutely amazing that she still is
is this and it's I really I woke up and
I saw this. I go when I see Sister Gene trending,
you go, oh boy, oh boy. No, one hundred and four.
I was like, oh my goodness, hundred and four.
Speaker 4 (34:05):
Oh and yesterday we celebrated the seventy fifth birthday of
Robert plant.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
The other day Robert de Niro Jurnady. Yeah, no, Christopher
Walkin showed up at his party. I mean, it's all
good things.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
I'm Captain of the Millennium Falcon one hundred and four
for Sister Gene.
Speaker 4 (34:21):
Godspeed, hopefully another good trip around the sun. Let's all
aspire to get a few more ourselves. My doctor on
Friday threatened me with at least another decade, so wow, okay, yeah,
you guys are stuck.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Now.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
The Ravens streak actually started when she was born, seems.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
It, don't it. Exit out about a Fresca Xit swollen
dome to Chase the Smith Show with my best friend
Mike Carmon. All right, coming up next to us. More
on this incredible preseason win by the Commanders, but a
big suspension in college football. What this means for the NFL, Fox, Yes,
