Speaker 2 (00:23):
Part you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Greetings. Hello, Welcome in side hour two of The Jason
Smith Show with my bass friend Miike Harmon. Yeeha, live
from the ti iraq dot Com studios ti iraq dot com.
I'll help you get there an unmatched selection, fast free shipping,
free road hazard protection, and over ten thousand recommended installers
tiraq dot com. The way tire buying should be. Well,

(00:50):
you know me, I always I hate to say I
told you so, but sometimes I really I'm sometimes and
I'm like that Han Solo line, Oh you must improud,
was he saying? I mean, I don't impress that easy,
but I don't impress myself that easily. I'm very impressed myself.
After last night? What did I tell you last night?
After the report, after reports. We found out Jonathan Taylor

(01:10):
Thomas does not get traded. No tool time for him.
He really pivoting quickly. Here he des yesterday was the
Maya culpa. I know not I thought he was getting traded.
I was wrong. But what did I say last night
in our conversation, I don't get dealt by the day
that the roschaft to get cut down to fifty three.
That was the deadline the Colts had put on Taylor

(01:32):
getting a deal done. And now he starts on the
physically unable to perform list. He's not going to play
for at least the first four weeks. There's varying beliefs.
How injured is he or is this a punishment? Is
he really holding out playing at all? He can still
be traded, but the big deadline to trade him before this,
before they had to make a decision on the pup
list for him. He doesn't get delt. And I said

(01:55):
I was wrong. And the thing I didn't jump in
was I didn't fact during the complete and total wild
card that Jim Mercy is as Jason Lock and for
likes to call him on the show the Hockey talk Man.
That's true. He's a hockey talk man on the Hockey
Talk Why did I send you right after the show
yesterday shake rattling the anniversary of one of his great

(02:17):
summer slams. He was I would say he was one
of the more underappreciated wrestlers. I mean the guy was Elvis.
He's the hockey talk man, and his shake rattling roll
was his Uh, I mean he got some run, but
let's face it, yeah, he he kind of went to
the full Vegas. Yes, the Elvis side. He thought he

(02:39):
couldn't do a lot of what he should have been
able to do became later years Elvis, not earlier als. Yes, yeah,
not Blue Hawaii Elvis like, but that was his saying.
He was wearing the jumpsuit. But then he kind of
really embodied yea and filled out that jumpsuit, which meant
in the ring, he weren't able to necessarily be as uh,
you know, Bendy, you know, as you needed to be.

(03:00):
You don't cut calories when you're wrestling, then you still
need to keep your flexibility and ability to take a bump,
and he kind of couldn't. Okay, when you say take
a bump, you mean like like take a hit in
the ring. Yeah, okay, good. I just wanted to clear
up there, I mean wrestling, I mean, come on. So
it was a it was a I said I was wrong, right,

(03:21):
I said I was wrong with you. We don't get
that multiple times. You know. I gotta stop saying it
because I don't want that to become a habit. So
but the biggest thing I said was because I underestimated
Jim Mersay's ability to screw things up, and never underestimate
Jim Rsay as emotional as he was. I thought he's
gonna he wants to get rid of Jonathan Taylor. It's
all trending that way. Anthony Richardson is our guy, he

(03:43):
is the franchise. But I did not factor in the
wild cardness of his ability to mess things up. So
what did I say when we broke this down. The
one thing I'm waiting to hear from if in the
next day or two because apparently they didn't get the
offers they liked for Jonathan Taylor. And I said, if

(04:09):
there's teams out there that made good offers, we're gonna
find out. Because everybody knows around the league who is
calling for Jonathan Taylor. Everybody knows who's calling and the
offers that are being made. People around the league know
what's going on, and no front office wants to be
seen as well. They're just gonna low ball. You don't
want to deal with them. They're very difficult. No, yeah,

(04:32):
I knew when such and such a team was in
on Jonathan they were gonna low ball and or not.
They don't want that image to get out there. Every
team wants to have the image of, hey, we're easy
to deal with, we can make a deal if we
want to, because we want to be able to make
a trade and weekend, so you were gonna see in
the next couple of days stories get out sources. We
made this offer for Jonathan Taylor because these teams that

(04:55):
were in on it want to make sure that everybody
around the league knows, Hey, we called. We had a
couple of good offers, of course, and the Colts were
the ones and Jim Merson was the one that suddenly
we were told no. And it's ridiculous. Don't put it
out there. Don't think that, hey they were talking to us,
Miami Dolphins be the first team to get the blame
for this. Hey, don't think like all of a sudden,
we're just short change. I'm saying, how about the rights

(05:17):
to Ricky Williams for this? No, we're not gonna do that,
all right, I'm gonna want people thinking suddenly we're gonna
try to lowball you were difficult franchise to deal with.
Nobody wants that. So are you going to see in
the next couple of days the stories get out where, hey,
this is what was offered out there and we couldn't
strike a deal to put the blame back on the
Colts because the question then you wanted to be were

(05:38):
they really ever going to trade him to anybody? Or
was this just an exercise in futility for the Colts
And it's all Ersay's fault and Ballard's fault as part
of association. Are you going to see those stories? What
do we see this morning? Story sources Miami Dolphins Insider,

(05:59):
the cult made crazy demands, not my words, their words,
crazy demands for Jonathan Taylor, including Jalen Wall Okay, why
is that crazy? Though? Right? If everybody else is bending
over backwards and falling down in media circles everywhere about
how great Jonathan Taylor was and how Ersay and Ballard

(06:23):
should be bowing at his feet and browing money at him.
Crazy demands. But my point is this, right, if you're
gonna go and do us asking for Jalen Wattle is
then not crazy, is it? Are you asking for Jalen
Waddle or are you asking for Jalen Waddle in a
first round pick? Well? Maybe you are. It was it
was they asked for crazy stuff. That was the report.

(06:43):
That was what did I tell you it was gonna be?
You were gonna say, Hey, don't blame us, this is
the cults. They asked for crazy stuff, and then you
got it out of the packers sources. Packers made an
offer for Jonathan, which I don't really get unless they're
going back to John Paulmerrosi's single wing because you have
Aaron Jones and aj Dillon, right, but one of those
guys was going back a part Hey, a thrower for

(07:05):
the deal. The packers were in. Wait, wait, the packers, Yes,
the packers were in. Packers want everything to know. Hey,
we were in. We made a decent offer. We were there.
We tried to get Jonathan Taylor and it just didn't
work out. But don't blame us, because everybody knows everybody
around the league knows. The Dolphins were in, the Packers
were in, whatever other teams were in. Don't don't make it.

(07:25):
We don't want you to think we're the ones that
stopped this from happening. This was the Colts not really
having him out there, and especially when you hear right
away those two stories Packers say they were in and
the reports out of Miami they wanted crazy stuff for
Jonathan Taylor. I told you that was gonna happen, so
now once again, and I were ever really gonna trade him? No,

(07:46):
I told you that all along. That's been my stance
and all of this. I said, unless you came walking
in with a gold Willie Wonka ticket, so you actually
get the factory, you get nothing. Ticking e. I don't
think so, by the way. I do like that people
are finally coming around to the fact that Grandpa Joe

(08:07):
was nothing but a free loader. Yeah, okay, sure, after
all these years, finally recognizing, you know, hey, all of
a sudden, dudes up and about and everything because he
can go to a chocolate factory. Yeah yeah, and he's
just been sitting on his ass and saying he's got
no ability to do anything. For years. Yeah, but clearly
DJ the Colts willing to sell Jonathan Taylor down the

(08:27):
Chocolate River. Nice, but I had no belief at any point.
And it goes back to that valuation thing that people
kept trying to say, Well, the Colts don't value him.
I was like, sure they do, they just don't want
to pay him today. They just what no that now
I look like that. The entire last two weeks was
a complete exercise in futility. Yeah, from the Colts, Hey,

(08:48):
try to get a deal. Well we got a couple
of deals out here. Well, no, he didn't have it.
And now and again, but again he's real, don't want
to he's my fault. I don't want to think it's
my fault. I'm gonna get my side out here. Hey,
I don't you know you can print this, don't quote
me on it. But they asked for crazy stuff like
Jalen Waddle some other things. It was insane. With the
right helmet, you know, the rights to ace Ventura, Yeah,

(09:13):
Isotna gloves. They wanted all of them pick up the
key with the Isoto, some of the great commercials. You know,
it was holiday season again. Dan Marino was on there
and again, I'm gonna double down on my wrongness. Can
I do that? Yeah? Absolutely, doubling down on my being wrong,
because clearly I not just miscalculated Jim Ersay's ability to

(09:33):
screw things up. I just deeply and grossly miscalculated Jimsy's
ability to screw things up and to lie to everybody.
And Chris ballads in the mix, oh my goodness, because
he met the media to boy was that fun. So
Chris Ballard now to get past this because remember I
told you wait to see the stories and everythings gonna say,
don't blame us, This is all on the cults. Here's

(09:55):
Colt GM Chris Ballard now trying to clean up after
the nuclear button was pushed in Indianapolis and there needs
to be a lot of cleanup on both sides. Here's
GM Chris Ballard on where thinks it with Jonathan Taylor
and where they are potentially going forward.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
It sucks.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
It sucks for the Colts, It sucks for Jonathan Taylor,
and it sucks for our fans. It just it does.
And it's where we're at and we've got to work
through it, and we're gonna do everything we can to
work through it. Relationships are repaarable, they're repairrable.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
All right, all right, first part, he went full al
cervic from Caddy Scheck. I tell you this whole place sucks.
It sucks, It sucks. For him, I'll tell you this
whole place sucks. That sucks. He sucks. You, suck you
suck you too. You sucked his whole thing, this whole
blake show sucks. Everything here sucks, and so I kind

(10:51):
of dig that it all sucks. And then at the end,
But relationships are repaarable. Dude, dude, stop for one second
here unless you're paid him. Jonathan Taylor's not gonna play
if you think this is a power play where I'm
being on the pup list, I don't want to come
play for you. Gotta pay him. Unless said you insulted
your owner, insulted him and said if he's not on

(11:12):
the team, nobody would care. He's not gonna suddenly say
let's repair this relationship. Well, it was a long term.
If you're not here, nobody's gonna care. I don't. I
don't think it was tomorrow, he said. If I die
tomorrow and he's not here, so that tells me that
tomorrow Jim Mersey dies and Jonathan Taylor's not on the
team that nobody would care. But he didn't kill off

(11:33):
Jonathan Taylor. He said he's just doing something. He disappeared him. Maybe,
well something like that. Man. Ballard was also talking about,
how would you like to go for a ride out
of town getting that Mayflower van? Right, they're gonna do
with Mayflower, get in that Mayflow Evan, right, they will
take get a nice little trip. Yeah, I really thought
you were gonna end up with a pink Cadillac and
Morty and we're gonna start hearing the beginning of an

(11:56):
inherent Clapton song in the background. But like by a
time found Jonathan Taylor. He was frozen so solid it
took him two weeks to thaw themouts. They could trade. No,
you took down Frankie Carbone. Look the idea. Ballard also
talking about, you know, hey, did we need someone for
Andrew Lexi. Well, it kind of hastened to his demise

(12:16):
because he didn't have someone that could chip block and
help him out during his process towards his early retirement.
But it's tough. But look, not everything can be repaired.
But is this a case where maybe maybe it can. Sure,
eventually it becomes the blank you pay me. I mean,
if we're gonna go good fellows, let's stay a good thing, right.

(12:40):
You know, you didn't make your sales, got you know,
whatever else, all the different things that could come through
at the end of the week, you still got to
come through with the payment. And for Jonathan Taylor, I
really believe in all of this, and ers said it
during the course of this process. Obviously, the more salacious
and second see quote was the one that got used

(13:02):
all the time. The other ones. Yeah, he'll get paid
in time. That's not his time. He wants it to
be his time, but it's not his time. Okay. But
then don't go out and say if I died and
he's gone. Now, you make it look like they're stupid
hot take nonsense if you walked in, if they're let's say,

(13:23):
a young Mike was just something subtle and on point
to the business of things. He'd say, a young Mike
harmon coming home from high school. Right. No, let's let's
do it a little bit. Let's say coming home from college, right,
and you've done really well your first couple of years
and work kind of like Jonathan thing he's doing. And
maybe you're injured, maybe you're not. You know, your dad

(13:43):
wants you some work around the house. Maybe you're on
the pup list, maybe you're not. Maybe you're faking. Maybe
you're ready. And you come home and you say, you
know what, I do a lot around here, and it's
you know, it's you and your two brothers and Harmon's
brothers are all Richie from season one of The Bear.
It's you, your two brothers, your mom, your dad. You're
all hanging out and you say, you know, we're a family.
I got a sister. We're a family. But I do

(14:05):
a lot around here, and I think I should be
paid accordingly for it, because you know, I've come back
from college. I help out around here. I do. I
take you to the doctor, I take Mondo the to
the orthopedist or whatever it is, and I do all
these different things. I should be paid a little more money.
And your dad in front of your entire family. Now
let's expand, it's in front of your dad, your aunts,

(14:26):
your aunts, and your uncles, and your sisters and your
cousins and his aunts and everything else, your sisters and
his cousins who expected by the dozens and his and
your dad says, you know, Mike, if I died tomorrow
and you were gone, nobody in this family would care.
You can go back to your dad. That relationship can
be can be solved. That could be saying, hey, Dad,

(14:47):
I still love you. You just said if I'm not
in this family, nobody would care. If I were seventeen
years old, I probably would have taken it to heart,
as I am a man approaching a nice tender round
age here. I firmly believe that's true. How old is
Jonathan Taylor. It's twenty four, old enough to have seen
some things, and he was insulted in public. Let's say

(15:08):
that happened and it was all over the airways in Chicago,
and everybody you knew got to see your dad say,
if I died tomorrow and you weren't in the family,
nobody would care. You're done, man, You're done with that family.
You're like, I'm done. I'm not even coming back. I'm
not coming every every Christmas would be the Christmas episode
of season two of The Bear and someone would crack

(15:30):
their car in LEI. I could see a member of
my family maybe saying that I lift right out I'm
like Joey and Phoebe and friends. Man, you would not
go back to that. You'd be done with the family.
You'd be done. You'd be done, just like Jonathan. You'd
be done, be done. You understand your place. You'd completely

(15:50):
time to take over the family. Because a little later
on in the story, arcs ah, you're crazy. At the
end of your first year, Discover credit cards automatically double
all the cash back. And that's right, everything you wear
in is doubled. Seriously see terms. Check it out for
yourself at discover dot com slash match. So yeah, let's
see that get solved. I'll tell you this whole place suck.
I got a system. I call me, call me stop it,

(16:14):
because stop it. Cousin told you all the teams would say,
don't blame us for not getting to Jonathan Taylor, trade donnae. Heck,
get there. Uh. Coming up next, we got some other
big NFL stories on the way. Jumping off of a
big story, we're gonna tell you the three teams that
are gonna be the most difficult watches this year in

(16:36):
the NFL. That's coming up next right here, Jason and
Mike Fox.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
I'm gonna be the one who watches the Mets next
to you.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
Of all the songs on the gonna get drunk watching
the Mets next to you. It sucks Fox Sports Radio.
I'll tell you it sucks. It sucks for him, it
sucks for you, It sucks for everybody. This whole place sucks.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
It sucks.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
It sucks for the Colts, it sucks for Jonathan Taylor,
and it sucks for a fans.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Tell me where he said anything wrong. It's a whole
place sucks. I like that his ball cap was pulled
over his eyes tightly. Suck. You suck for asking the question.
You suck for pointing the camera at me. You suck.
I thought he was gonna launch into a Bill Burr
comedy set. At some point, you Ballard was sitting there.
All of you suck because of Jonathan Tale.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
You know what else? When Andrew Luck retired, you know
what that sucked? Yeah, thanks Chris Ballad. Hey listen, it's
been four years and one week since Andrew Luck retired
any news on that front. You suck for asking that question,
Dan out. You all suck you you you're cool.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
You I'm out.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
The Patriots sort of fixed their quarterback issue that they
brought upon themselves a day ago, right, fis the glitch
When Rogers were cutting down to fifty three, they decided
Mac Jones is the only guy we need. They decided
to part ways with Bailey Zappy and Malie Cunningham. There
are reports that maybe they would bring them back on

(18:26):
the practice squad, but clearly they could have been claimed
by anybody, but Bill Belichick was okay with potentially losing
both those guys and not having a backup going into
Week one with any sort of playbook experience. Again, Bill
Belichick coaching for his life in New England this year
with another ridiculously bad move that Tom Brady covered for

(18:49):
him for years, apparently because Belichick would do all kinds
of stuff like this, but they would win because he
had Brady. Now he's not winning and these moves look stupid. Well,
I mean, he didn't go to a microphone and say, look,
I could be dead tomorrow and these guys won't be here.
It sucks. It sucks. For Bailey Zampy. It sucks for
Lee cunning him, It sucks for Mac Jones, it sucks
for you. You know, you can expose these guys to

(19:10):
the waiver process and know they're coming back now. And
that's the thing is that they got lucky today in
that they brought both of these guys back to be
on the practice squad. How lucky were they? I mean,
you had it pretty well calculated. It's like nobody's claiming
these kids. Well, Bailey Zappy, there was some interest in
being a backup, but he wanted to be the backup
in New England because this is a team that knows

(19:32):
him a little bit. But now this is also a
team that was okay with if he left, So it's
kind of glass half of love him. But just the
fact that Belichick was okay with I could lose these
two quarterbacks and have a backup going into Week one
that doesn't know the playbook at all. I mean, it's ridiculous.
But to take this conversation in a different direction, because
the page have been a clown show. Sometimes NFL teams

(19:56):
are tougher watches than a lot of others. Boy, because
the play is not good. The talent level is not there,
and that's what you call a tough watch. It's gonna
be These games are gonna be tough to watch this
year because of that, because they're going to underachieve. It's
gonna be ugly. It's not going to be exciting. It's
gonna be a tough watch. I'll tell you the three
teams metal watches. Let's go in the NFL this year.

(20:20):
Number one is New England. That's gonna be a tough watch.
Matt Jones is not a guy that's gonna light up
the score. Bas I love Ramondre Stevenson, the guy's not
that exciting. They're not gonna score a lot of points.
They're gonna try to play as good enough defense as
they can. The defense is not quite what it was.
That's gonna be a really tough New England. Why Jason

(20:45):
Jason Bourd is gonna be there. No Kendricks is gonna
be Therevante Parker is going to be a star. Sure,
Mike is sicky. All these guys that are on their
third and fourth teams now are all gonna be stars.
We're all gonna be stars now, Okay, yeah, I like that,
but it's They're gonna be a tough watching those games. Now,
you know what I mean, They're still gonna be near

(21:06):
five hundred, and it's gonna piss everybody. Yeah, they're not
gonna be five hundred just because Belichick is the coach.
Not gonna happen. The defense is gonna be good to
keep everybody in the AFC East. That's the one of
the least talented rosters in the game. And I get that.
Belichick wants to win. Hey, I want to show you
I can win with absolutely nobod. I'm gonna play seven
guys on offense, six guys on defense, go nine and

(21:28):
eate and make the playoffs. And people will say, well,
that's better than winning the super Bowl with Brady. I
mean that's what he wants. I get it, but it's
not working. It's gonna be a tough watch, tough watch
New England, number two, number two, Tampa Bay. The Bucks
are gonna be a really, really tough watch. Man, Baker
man be tough. It's gonna be tough. You got Godwin,

(21:50):
you got Evans, And again you go back to the
first guy you mentioned what Loker lost his gig in Cleveland,
couldn't keep the gig in Carolina. Couldn't keep the giging Carol.
When they brought him in to be the guy, he
kept their job, handed him the job. Even Sam Darnold
has a gig now after this year, Let's go agree

(22:10):
it sucks. Let's put Baker having Baker Mayfield you're knowing about. No,
it sucks. It sucks. That's a bad team. They can't
really won't be able to run the football. The defense
is not what it was. Scoring points is going to
be a supera before. This is really difficult for business,
and it's tough because you know me, serious guy, I
want Sean Tucker to succeed. I don't want him succeed

(22:31):
down there. He's gonna get some run playing some running
back him in Rashad White, but that's not a team
like White a lot that's that's not a team that's
going to be able to really to debt the scoreboard
and keep teams off the centate. That's going to be Insider.
My dad, who you killed off in the last segment,
I did not kill I did not kill him off. Guys,
you're just not an approval. Did he not kill my dad?

(22:53):
Your dad left that last segment we did alive. He
was alive. You murdered him and he was alive, But
if murdered by the dark side of the forest, I
have proof. I have an alibi. He was alive and
I left that room completely alive. I'll have them play
the tape back.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Number three.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
We have a twin brother that did the killing, that's
lost twin. He's down outside of Tampa and he's already
excited for Tampa Bay Lightning hockey. Yeah, well you kind
of have to be. That's where he's liking what the
Rays are. Yeah, they're still trying to figure out and
there's a lot of reporting going on and what may
or may not be truth and the world of wander Franco.

(23:34):
But they move on big series coming up here in
the next couple of weeks, you know, the Battle with
the Orioles and all this fun stuff. But he's already
moving on to Lightning and what that roster is gonna
look like. The third team Number three, Yeah, you got
a Christopheress. Now, I want to say this before you
get to the third team. Yeah, I could easily put
the Cardinals in, but they're not trying to win. Well,

(23:56):
they're out, and you actually have to put out. They're
a team that you think is trying to win, so
you can't the Cardinals obviously, you are saying, hey, listen,
I mean I don't know, Buccaneers. Uh, that's a bad
division though you still win that division. You still win
that division. Division biceps. Derek Carr is walking in as
the best quarterback in that division. I mean, come on, man,

(24:18):
I mean yeah, really, well, yeah he is. I mean
that was fueled by all the hate on Twitter and
all the people he blocked. I mean, think about the
flexing you do when you block people. Yeah, but did
he spend enough time learning the New Orleans accent like
he's supposed to any new uh new sound clips. We'll
have to see. I could easily put the Cardinal, but

(24:40):
the Cardinals aren't trying. You know, there's so many people
on social media going, where's the Cardinals first win going
to be this year? With the schedule posted, I'm like,
it's gonna be in April of twenty twenty four when
they select Caleb Williams number one over pretty good, that's
your next one. That's your next one. Nice, just like
the day they got Matt Lionerd out of USC You know,
a generation to go and now the history repeats itself. Now,

(25:01):
go get another USC quarterback, Go get that's our next week.
The third team is gonna be the tough, toughest watch.
And this is difficult. The Rams Rams are gonna be
a tough watch. She saw that every rookie they drafted,
fourteen of them, they made the final row. Oh yeah,
come on, everybody makes the team. Really, yes, you made

(25:22):
the thing. Those fourteen guys a bunch of undrafted guys.
It is. It's a curious mix for sure. And you
got Matthew Stafford's wife going on to podcast and said
he doesn't relate to any of these people. She may
be the most interesting thing about the Rams this year.
How many times during the year are we gonna get
headlines of the Rams because of Kelly Stafford. I'm gonna
say three, Yeah, not a lot. And we got remember

(25:42):
we got you got, you got fifteen other games a
week and Aaron Rodgers. So there's only been so much.
I say, three times a year, three times we're here,
we're national headlines, Kelly Stafford national headlines. Where about this show?
You really think every other week she's the most anything
they have. That's the thing though, is like we now
it's come out based on that podcast that I'm pretty

(26:05):
certain anything Matthew says about the locker room, she's going
to air with it. Man, that's it. Sean McVay is
not going to be able to contain that it is
going to be a rough season because the defense is old.
They didn't bring in any playmakers. Matthew Stafford is old
coming off of injury. There's nobody that scares you outside

(26:26):
of Cooper Cup and how healthy is he going to be.
The Rams won when they amassed so much talent and
they went for it with crazy trades. Let's bring in
a bunch of and eventually you have to pay the
piper on that. And they had a great five six
year run, two super Bowls and one super Bowl title.
I think any team would sign up for that if
it means hey, a couple of years are going to
be really, really rough. But this year they're going to

(26:48):
be a tough watch. Again, not a lot of offense.
Their defense is not going to stop a lot of people.
They're not going to be explosive. These three teams, Tampa Bay,
New England, the Rams, the three tough fist watches in
the NFL this year, these games are gonna be Oh man,
that's ugly. Oh man, twenty eight to three already, Oh
that's ugly. You just feel bad, and you'll feel bad

(27:08):
when you see Sean McVay walking on the sideline shaking
his head bad. You see Bill Belichick there in his
hoodie and he's shaking his arms wondering what's going on?
Who the offensive coordinator is Tampa Bay. When they keep
cutting to Tom Brady laughing as he's watching Baker Mayfield's
throw passes and Kyle Trask is warming up to come
into the game, I'll tell you the three toughest watches
of the year. Those three teens rams are interesting. Just

(27:30):
what's Aaron Donald do to be able to solve what
we watched in the preseason where I think if we
put you out there, you would have been averaging about
four to seven a clip against that run defense. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, everybody.

Speaker 5 (27:42):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
I also fall forward at the end. I also make
sure you gotta fall forward. I mean, that's that's a
general rule of life. People fall forward. Take your inner nature, boy,
stagger around? What for fall forward? No falling backwards?

Speaker 6 (27:56):
On that?

Speaker 1 (27:57):
I don't know. I mean Washington's interesting because that could
go south really fast. There's talent, but there could also
be a mutiny with the Yeah, river boat Ron they're more,
you're more, they're more of a complete unpredictable than they are. Hey,
I know this is going to be a tough watch.
If Sam Howell's good, he maybe right, it's maybe you

(28:18):
know Cleveland, because I don't want to Deshaun watch Zoeland
could be a tough watch, could be a tough watch
if something, if he's not if he's not bouncing back,
although I have a feeling he'll bounce back a bit.
You still have Nick Chubb. There's a little bit more
more just the I don't want to Oh no, no,

(28:41):
that that would be the list of teams I don't
want to watch, And that's that's Yeah, it's Deshaun Watson
and Cleveland. Yeah, there you go. That's a list right there.
So the toughest watch. Oh, Texans are going to be
terrible too. Yeah, but you kind of know that already.
These teams are all masquerading that they're going to be
it's gonna be unwatchable, it's gonna be the Can I
get a sixty second clip of the fourth yeah, but

(29:01):
they know that good here, they know that. They remember
in Oh but I love football, I celebrate all two
seventy three. Remember what I'm telling you, there are seventeen
that are going to be a I don't know. I
might watch the condensed forty minute shot of that one.
Remember almost famous when Lester Bangs is in the UH
in the UH in the booth with the disc jockey

(29:22):
and she was gonna play the doors and he goes
Jim Morrison, he's a drunken buffoon. And then he goes,
give me the guess who. At least they have the
courage to be drunken buffoons like Jim Morris a drunken buffoon.
But guess who. They know they're drunken buffoons. So it's okay,
this is right here. You know, Hey, the Texans know
they're gonna be bad, they know they're gonna stink. These
other teams think they're actually gonna be good. So there

(29:46):
that's that's the Jim Morrison and the guess who in
this whole thing. Hey, we know we're gonna be bad.
These three teams, Hey we think we're gonna be good. No,
you're gonna be tough. Watches you got guts, give me
the guess who man? Hey, Iggy Pop. A man is
a little too early for Iggy Pop, not for me. Uh,
there you go. Toughest watches in the NFL. Now to

(30:08):
a guy who is one of the easiest listens, they
say that rain you gotta be an easy listen. People
like I have to joy listening to easy listen. It's
Brian Fenley with what's trending in the wide world of sports?

Speaker 6 (30:19):
Need I say more? The tough watch in Major League
Baseball right now?

Speaker 1 (30:24):
As a team.

Speaker 6 (30:25):
I'm not gonna obviously mention the name.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
But Padres you could say it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're
not wrong. He's not wrong. And you can't watch him
anyway like the PAC twelve network, No exactly.

Speaker 6 (30:36):
You have to pay the monthly subscription and with all
the other streaming that we're paying for it, Yeah, it
adds up. By the way, we just have one Major
League Baseball game that's still going on right now, and
the Dodgers are ripping apart the Diamondbacks into the fifth inning,
they are Freddie Freeman had a two run home run
in the third inning. Angels will a win against the
Phillies ten to h a O Tany drove in a

(30:58):
run the White Sox crushing three home n a ten
to five takedown on the road against the Orioles mentioned
the Padres, they lost in embarrassing fashion, walk off fashion
to the Cardinals in Saint Louis five to four. Cubs
win three to two against the Brewers, Cody Bellinger driving
at a run by way of an infield single in
the eighth inning. Giants stood up by the Reds four

(31:19):
to one. In San fran Athletics go down in Seattle
five to four against the surging Mariners, who are now
nineteen games over five hundred. In Tenanting's a win for
the Rays as they shut out the Marlins three to nothing.
The Mets coming away with a six to five win
against the Rangers. In ten Braves seven to three winners
against the Rockies, and as mentioned that one game that

(31:42):
is remaining Dodgers and Diamondbacks. As far as what else
is happening in the world of sports NFL News in
notes regarding what is happening as far as different offseason
acquisitions and potential new deals, we do know that Dolphins
general manager Chris Greer mentioned that the negotiations on a
new deal with quarterback to Utongovailoa will resume in the offseason.

(32:06):
Forty nine Ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was mom about
trying to figure out Nick Bosa when he's going to return,
as Bosa is hoping for a new contract he is
holding out. Shanahan said, no, we're not going to trade Bosa,
but he might miss some time as they try to
work a new deal for him. Ninety two thousand and
three in attendance of the Nebraska women's volleyball game at

(32:29):
Memorial Stateium in Lincoln, Nebraska. That is a new world
record for most attendees of a women's sporting event. And
by the way, Nebraska dominating in a three set takedown
against Omaha. The Mavericks who are the s Jason and
Mike were saying the sacrificial lamb. And lastly, for American men,

(32:51):
we know at least four American men advancing to the
third round of the US Open. Francis Tiaffa winning in
three sets. Same could be said for Taylor Fritz Ben
Shelton won in two sets that after Dominic team medically
retired in the second and Tommy Paul the backwards hat
wearing Tommy Paul is victorious as well. With that, back

(33:14):
to one guy who was wearing his hat backwards right now,
not wearing carmon, not wearing a hat, and Jason Smith.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Wearing a hat backwards, not not wearing a hat he
couldn't wearing back with me as the lead that I
thought he always because he always tries to come back
with some kind of crazy ass one liner. And now
back back to a man who's wearing a shirt that
is the same color that that. If I was choking

(33:42):
on on a strawberry, my face would turn blue. That's
Jason Smith's body bag. So I thought, for a second
that's what he was. Sorry if I thought he was
talking about me, because that's every toss Finley has coming back.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
Where is the compliment for you to say? Bred That
is a wonderful segue from a tennis player who wears
a backwards hat to Mike wearing a backwards hat at
one of your hosts.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
And now come on, now back to a man who
has as many fingers and toes as the Mets have
wins this year. That'd be twenty Jason Smith. I'd be
well done. Okay, I thought, that's what I'm sorry. I'm
sorry I jumped the gun and I thought that was me.
I'm sorry. You'd see where I thought it was me.
I could see I could see how you would get

(34:24):
that conflate that. Yeah, all right, thank you, Brian Finley, Twitter,
and how about a Fresco Mike hat swollen dome. Tonight

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Fox Sports Radio, the Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon at TJ. Clearly some scary monsters going
on tonight as the Mets win an extra innings over
the Rangers.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
TJ uh suck.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
It's whole play that. I love that Chris ballad quote.
It's good. I love it. The high pitch, yeah everything.
I think that's my favorite sports quote since who was it.
They kept saying see y'allin burrow ahead. I gotta like that.
I think that's why I wanted to say it over
and over. You did enjoy wait sell but that's that's
way before Burrowhead was just last year. See y'allin Burrowhead burrowd.

(36:40):
I am probably clipping Chris ballad for my own use
because that is too good. I want to make that
my uh. I want to make that my ringtone on
my phone. It sucks, It sucks, It sucks. Jason, do
you want to answer your phone? Nope? Why to let
it go all the way to voicemail? Want to keep her?
I want to see what he's gonna say next. It sucks?

Speaker 4 (36:58):
Right?

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Who else is he for?

Speaker 4 (36:59):
You?

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Sucks? It just really really uh, Data White and this
story is just fascinating to me. Data White did an
interview today about UFC futures for a couple of former
big stars, Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesner, and said, you know,
do you see either of them coming back to the

(37:20):
UFC at some point, because now Ronda Rowsey is kind
of gone from WWE. And brock Lesner last time he
wrestled was seven years ago, and he said, so fun
in UFC was seven years ago. Sorry, less fun in
UFC was seven years ago and he said, no, brock Lester,
he's done his thing, And yeah, you can't really seven
years away is a long time to come back. At
brock Lester, I agree, he's done. And he said Ronda Rousey,

(37:42):
and he says, I don't know who's making up these things,
because there was reports that maybe Ronda Rowsey would come back,
but it's a load of crap. I think the Guardian
was the newspaper. The I mean, she finished an arc.
She was battling a former protege and friend, SHANEA. Bezler,
all of this stuff, who was in mixed smartial arts
as well, so that wrapped up. She still can't cut

(38:03):
a promo for anything. And it's to the point where
most matches that she's been in in the last year,
and most appearances and attempts to get on the microphone,
the crowd drowns her out with who cares it's and
you suck kind of chance. This is what's fascinating is
is Dana White also said, no, Ronda went. She built

(38:25):
the division, she had the most defenses of Women's crown.
Ever she moved on, she parlayed that to WW she
made a lot of money, she's having kids now she's done,
and it just made me start thinking about Ronda Rowsey.
How White hot she was in the midst of her
run with the UFC, and that once she was in
movies and she was doing WWE. And now I don't

(38:49):
know that she has another act. Ronda Rowsey may just
be done because she hasn't been able to really cut
through in the WW They tried to make it work
with her and it just didn't right. She doesn't really
have the personality for WWE. She's not going back to
fight in UFC because the last couple of times she fought,
she got obliterated. The acting thing is not really going
anywhere anymore. I don't know that she has anything else. Well,

(39:11):
she can't sell the promo right and I can't do that.
She might just be done as a star. She might
just be done and we just might not hear from
her again. A hell of a decade though, who was
It was a pretty good run. But it's amazing someone
who had all these different things she could have done.
I'm going to WWE, I'm gonna do this, do this,
And now it's what are they gonna really have her do? No,

(39:33):
she's what you do. Now, She's done because she can't
she can't speak, and and I hate that that's the case. Right,
but they gave her many bites at the Apple. She
can't entertain on the mic, is what you're saying, She
can't entertain on it can't sell. Yeah, I mean she
comes out and it's forced. It's like she's tried to
like most have the well most is an exaggeration, but

(39:55):
many have the gift of the extemporaneous speaking what will
you and I do here? We've got a little bit
of and then we talk with promos. It always sounds
like she's trying to have memorized something and then can't
find the words, and then she gets flustered when the
crowd starts to yell at her, or it gets to
the point where the opponent starts to jump in because

(40:17):
there's so much dead time, and the storyline just stops
on a dime. So if you can't do that, you
can't act. So both those things go hand in hand.
As big as she was like, it's it's it's it's
over for her now. Yeah, it's amazing. The biggest story
of the night. Next on Fox,
