Speaker 1 (00:28):
Greetings and welcome inside our two of The Jason Smith
Show with my best friend Mike Harmon, live from the
Tirak dot com studios Direct dot com. We'll help you
get there an unmatched selection, fast, free shipping, free road
hazard protection, over ten thousand recommended installers tirack dot com,
the way tire buying should be. Well. We thought that
(00:52):
maybe we curse them a little bit, but know to
show you the power of Kansas football, they held on
to beat ill Illinois tonight in the game that everybody
that doesn't have spectrum got to see. Kansas is two
and Oh it's two thousand and seven all over again.
Jalen Daniels looks like it could be a Heisman Trophy
finalist Kansas. Kansas Football Buddy Kansas and Duke football. Think
(01:16):
about that for a second. Man, Kansas and Duke Football
are at the top of college football right now. Two
basketball schools, man, come.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
On, well, and just to add the one we've talked
about all week long, not that they're a basketball school,
but they've been irrelevant going on. I don't know when
was Cordell Stewart there, long long time, long tong time,
mid nineties when Bennett was there, nicely done, they did
so be it was a freshman. But I'm thinking back
(01:47):
to nineteen ninety five and all those rookie cards of
Cornell's Stuart Man.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Uh no, no, I want to say, if if I'm right,
that two thousand and seventy, that amazing year in college
football where we had Missouri and Kansas in it for
the national championship all the way till the end of
the Big Twelve Championship. That was like Jeremy Macklin, right,
was the big star from Missouri and Chase Daniel was
the quarterback. I'm pretty sure that Kansas could have if
(02:15):
Kansas had to win their last game of the regular
season to go to the National championship and they lost,
and like Pittsburgh had a chance to go. But the
West Virginia had a chance.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
To West Virginia. They lost number six.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah, yeah, Rich Rodriguez could have won, like he lost
a Pitt who was terrible. He lost the backyard brawl
like that. Two thousand and seven college football season needs
one of those deep rewind thirty for thirties because that
just doesn't seem like it's possible. Now some of the
teams you were talking about competing for the national championship, Missouri, Kansas,
West Virginia, It's like, what kind of year was that?
But we're back to it now because Kansas is good.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Take a look at this well, college football. The portal
to hell has been opened with all of the conference realignment,
the NCAA power crumbling like so many a villain at
the end of a movie. You can pick whichever one
you want, whether it's a Disney film or whatever else.
They fall into you know, a fog. You don't actually
(03:07):
hear them or see them hit, you know that kind
of thing. That's kind of where we're at for twenty
twenty three of just grab some popcorn, make sure the
cooler's full, cause it's going to be a wild ride.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
I mean, Duke and Kansas are now football schools. I
mean that that's crazy. Hey maybe hey, maybe that means
Syracuse can win. Think about that? What if? What if
the college football playoff was Duke Kansas North Carolina and
Syracuse had.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
To jam Syracuse in there somehow?
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Though?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
No, Cha, that was what if that was? That would be?
That would be so fantasmic.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Like I said, I've been trying to get right, you know,
blessed who have not seen but believe, you know, listening.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
To on speeches.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
I got my you know, handy dandy family Bibles sitting there.
I'm getting back in because the raptures upon us.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
What if you had harrismith.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
H Wow, what well I did? I could have it
again and Syracuse was Okay, one day you get lego hair,
We're one to Oh you know we would We scored
sixty five points. We beat Alabama sixty five to nothing
last week. Just think about that.
Speaker 5 (04:10):
And what sport was that?
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Did watch college football? You didn't watch it? Darkly?
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Man?
Speaker 1 (04:14):
When Saban walked off the field at the end, Yeah, no, they.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
Were They must have missed that, Mike, Yeah no, but
they were red.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
There was a red team. It looked it was Alabama.
I saw the guy at.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
Hair like mine's eye and through the the third or
fourth Margarita as he celebrated the life of Jimmy Buffett
that maybe it looked like Saban on the sidelines.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
All right, Well, you know the thing is, I would say, okay,
the final four would be Duke North Carolina, Kansas, and Yukon.
But boy, yeah last week, Yeah, Yukon is not Yeah,
Yukon's not going to make it to the colleg football gym.
It's not not gonna happen. But just think about that
Duke Kansas in the football final four.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
No, I think a new world order. If coach Kay
approve or disapprove of the field rush, uh oh, he.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Would hate it. He would hate it. He would hate it.
Uh yeah, absolutely absolutely would. He would say, I know,
why are we doing? We should act like we've been
here before. Yeah, but coach, you really haven't really ever
been here before. Even when Dave Brown was the due quarterback,
when you had they were you were never here before.
You were never here. We gotta actly no, but coach,
you literally you were never there before. You were never there.
(05:24):
I did.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Good for you.
Speaker 1 (05:28):

a few minutes. NFL Insider, we take a look at
Big Week one. We already gave you our big upset
(05:50):
specials for this week a few minutes ago. We have
stuff to get into with Russell Wilson and all kinds
of stuff and and long odds on playoff teams. But
we talked super Bowl two nights ago. Told you who
we like going to the Super Bowl. I got Jets, Lions,
Harmon has Say Vikings has Giants and the Jaguars. The
(06:11):
Lions validate all of my preseason expectation with a win
last night that Oh, by the way, I told you
the Lions are gonna win that game. I didn't need
the five points and I didn't take them.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Well, they've met Dan Campbell's expectations. There's still a lot
to clean up, though, Let's not kid ourselves and anybody
that was doing the moral victory thing just just hang
up your microphone at the head saying and do a
ceremonial burying in your backyard. Look, you beat who is
on the field. You play to win the game. And yes,
(06:41):
might have been a much different turnout if Jones and
or Kelse you're playing, sure, but they weren't. But the
defense did play really well. They did make plays and
get stops. Canarius Tony. I saw the excuse making for
him about his off season of injury. Whatever, his hands
weren't affected. Come on, man, that's the ball and if
(07:05):
he secures one ball, you got an opportunity for Butker
to go and kick a field goal to win it.
But you know what, it didn't happen. So take your
victory lap. But just remember there's still a lot of
football to be played and they need to be a
lot better. But I do like the sledgehammer thunder lightning
thing of Montgomery and Gibbs. They've got going and the
Chiefs will be better whether they bring in another wide
(07:27):
receiver or Travis Kelcey is healthy and or doesn't decide
to hold out for more money.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Twitter at how about a fresca Mike, It's swollen down
the Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon.
All right, so let's kick things off here and give
you our NFL MVP picks four two thousand and twenty three.
Who's gonna walk away with the hard way? Remember last
year I told you Jalen hurch is gonna win. I'll
take the L. I'll take d L the way he
(07:54):
was able to play, could have easily won, didn't. But
that's okay. I'll take d L. Mike, you kick it.
I kicked off the Super Bowl picks. Why don't you
kick it off. Who's that NFL MVP this year? If
it's Aaron Rodgers, it's okay. Well, you know I put
it on the sheet.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
So I think based on what way we've been talking,
we're probably gonna end up in the same spot. At
fifteen to eighteen to one. My Jaguars are going to
the Super Bowl. The fair haired boy becomes the story
of this NFL season at Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
So we're both picking Trevor Lawrence to be the MVP. Well,
we're both picking.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Trevor Lawrence and the other guy that I had on
the short list. And look again, who I picked for
the Super Bowl. I was like, all right, that means
he's got to be superhuman Calvin Ridley and everything on board.
But the other guy is he gets the over of
twelve and a half games, and that's Lebar Jackson and
that Todd Munkins offense works that somehow, some way, Odell Beckham, Junior,
(08:51):
Zayflowers and Bateman combined to give them some positivity alongside
Mark Andrews, which we have not said from wide receivers
there in quite some time. So the Ravens and Lamar
Jackson would be the one a to couple up, you know,
as I get my like like we're doing a betting
thing right, Well.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Now, I no, I can't. You know I can't. I
can't pick Trevor Lawrence because you picked Trevor. You knew
I was gonna pick Trevor Lawrence. You could one the
other day, buddy. You couldn't have said Aaron Rodgers. You
couldn't said Aaron, said Brice All. You couldn't have said
anybody else. They're not making the playoffs? Did you not
read my picks on that? Chief stop fourteen? And oh
we're gonna start fourteen?
Speaker 3 (09:31):
And oh they're not making the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
He can't be MVP. Jerry Ken Jerry, He's all He's
already the he's already the leader in the clubhouse. He
already is.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
How do you figure what odds he's at sixteen or
seventeen to one, depending on where you're looking right now.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Now, look Trevor Lawrence. Look, I've talked about him for
a while, and he's someone that gets not only the
jump because you look for someone who can take that jump. Burrow,
how healthy is he gonna be? Is he gonna be
healthy all season long? Joe Burrow is clearly one guy
who has the media desirability to win the MVP, right,
(10:11):
because they look, let's annoint right, the media voters. They
like to anoint MVPs, and this might be Joe Burrow's time.
Joe Burrow has a big year, this would be his
year to win the MVP.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Yeah, but he got paid, so you know they don't
easily pair those together. You got your contract, you're okay.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
But the same thing can be said for Trevor Lawrence
number one overall pick three years ago, ascending last year.
The back two thirds of last season, he was incredible.
He became the guy we thought he was. Wait, this
is what happens when you when you hire a good
head coach and knows what he's doing with quarterbacks in
the NFL that has a pedigree and has won a
Super Bowl like Doug Peterson has. They've got him the
(10:47):
weapons he needs. It's an easy division, and they're gonna
get out early and they're gonna win a lot of
games and something to be boy, the Jaguars are three
and oh four and oh six and oh seven. Look
at Trevor Lawrence. He's right up there. He doesn't have
to outdo every buddy, doesn't have to outduel everyone. And say, well,
if Patrick Mahomes throws thirty five touchdowns, he can't win it.
If he doesn't throw forty five. No, if the the
(11:08):
Jaguars win, and look, both you and I have them
in the AFC Championship Game, if they win, he's gonna
be the front running story. Because that's kind of how
you need to do it sometimes, is if you're a
big story coming up, hey, you're the one that grabs
the attention. And the Jaguars over the first month of
the season have that chance to do it because their
schedule is not that difficult. Their division is not that great.
(11:30):
You saw how close they were last year, the Big
upset over the Charges in the playoffs. No, the Jaguars
are coming. Their defense is good enough, their offense is
gonna light it up. They have two running backs now
they can trust it. Really like everything they saw with
Tank Bigsby in the in the preseason. This is it, man,
I mean, this is the era of good feeling was
there for the Bengals. What told you when they drafted
(11:50):
Joe Burrow. The era of good feeling for the next
decade plus is there for Jacksonville with Trevor Lawrence and
he'll be your MVP this season.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Let me throw one more into this and Frostburg because
whenever we mention anything related to a certain team here
in Los Angeles, he well, he tries to throw pens
at us as.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
If he was playing No, No, Mike, you can do it.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
He can't, Okay. So to that end, you bring in
Kellen Moore. You've drafted another wide receiver. So now you've
got three studs. You brought back Austin Eckler. You settled
whatever division, at least for all intents and purposes, he's
going to go play, try to hit those incentives and
get after it defensively, it's you've changed things up right,
(12:36):
so in theory you're going to be healthy on the
back end there as well. And when you look at
the odds, Justin Herbert is sitting there at either nine,
between nine and eleven to one in most sports books,
and that really intrigues me because right now he's what
fifth favorite behind Mahomes, Burrow, Allen and Hurts. So and
(13:00):
perhaps a little bit of curiosity. Can things finally break
right because they win a couple of those close games
and can he be the guy that makes that next over?
Because remember, you want to talk storylines and how much
people love certain players. Nobody has gotten more love through
the first couple of years of his career than Justin Herbert.
(13:20):
So in terms of that translating into a big run
towards the playoffs and some pinball numbers, I could see
the voting public being swayed in that direction.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
So there it is unanimous. Trevor Lawrence, your MVP of
the NFL.
Speaker 2 (13:39):

Lions win on Thursday night. You're my Lions, my lines again.
I'm the Mayor of Detroit. I am the Mayor of Detroit.
Lines of the super Bowl, Line's gonna win opening night,
I'm the Mayor of Detroit. Uh joining us now in
the hotline to break it all down. Take a look
at what he sees in week one. Longtime NFL insider,
(14:31):
you can follow him on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two.
That's at Jason Cole sixty two. He is the author
of eight books, including Rogers, A Relentless Jets Life, and
a selector for the Pro Football Haul of Very Good
Jay Cole, what's happening, Buddy? How are you.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
So? If you're mayor of Detroit?
Speaker 6 (14:56):
Dan Campbell is what today He's the governor of Michigan alias. Yeah,
he might hold seven elected offices. Yeah and simultaneously.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
I don't know what his politics are, but they'll get
into either the next Republican debate or they'll create a
Democratic debate. He will be in one of those, to
a guarantee. Guarantee.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
Oh yeah, he's bigger. He's way bigger in Michigan than
Jesse Ventura ever was in Minnesota. It's like, no question
about it.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
What did you tweet last night? He could run naked
down eight mile and get nothing but high fives after that?
Speaker 4 (15:31):
Oh? Absolutely, Yeah. They got off the plane, Dan Campbell
stripped down, just did a quick jog down eight mile
High five and everybody police said, no problem, that's good,
he's one of us.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Police are helping us. They're wearing lions hatches, they're helping.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
They got a lie. Yeah, they've got those lions. That thought.
And actually they were giving him a police escort as
he was going naked down the road. That's a bad time,
I said, love him in Detroit.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Painted Honolulu blue.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
They having a parade.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
Oh after that victory of course, and Mike Turrico not
allowed back in the state after the after a comment
that's that's just how it's going. Let's not overreact too much,
Lions fans. Yeah, that's actual time.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
You Actually it's a pretty good analysis the last night's
game because I was digging what you what you were
writing about how uh, how well you thought Jared Golf
was playing on third downs And the last time anybody
wrote about how well Jared Golf was exceeding at something
was a long time ago.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Yeah, well, he was pretty good last year on their
good you know, their big run. I give him credit.
And this offense is pretty well set for him, right,
Like you know, they're they're kind of they're weird because
everything is single back, but it's kind of max protect
within single back because it doesn't tight so often. So
like they make it. I wouldn't say that I'm not
(17:02):
saying they make it easier for the offensive line, but
they basically make it so that the offensive line can
see where everybody is and they create this mass, right
and then he throws out of it. It's pretty it's
a really well designed offense for what he's good at.
And and but the really great part is, you know,
there were a couple of times, you know, the blitz
(17:22):
coming in off the off the edge on the third
down throw, and the guy got to him and he
and he didn't throw a perfect looking ball, but you
know he got it there, and you know he got
that ball off for the guy you know laid you know,
laid the wood to him. So I gotta give it
to him on that one. Those are a couple of
(17:43):
clutch throws. I mean, not everything was pretty, but that's
a road game against the defending champion, and like the
Thursday night opener is about the closest thing that you
get to college environment in the NFL. So you know,
like winning and when you're a road team and you
win that game, that's a big deal and your quarterback
has to step up at least two or three times,
(18:05):
and he did that. He really made a couple of
big pros and third down in the second.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Half having a good streak without turning the ball over,
so huge as well, jacoble. But on the other side
of things, is Travis kelcey return, does that solve all
the eels or that he need to go find some
other help in that wide receiving corps.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Well, I mean I was gonna come, I was going
to come on disguised as Kadarius. You know Tony's hands
tonight because they didn't show up last night.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
No, they did.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
You stopped the phone. We would never get you would
just keep dropping.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
It would never I don't have my hands on the
phone right now. I'm going just so that won't happen.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
God. I mean, if he catches any one of those
four drops, that could have cholled, any one of those
that could.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Have changed you know, I will say this, the one
over the middle where James crosses in front of him,
I'll even give him credit that that's the tracted because
James got too close to him and got distracted. I'll
give him that one, right, But the three other ones
you can't be any more open and the ball can't
(19:13):
be any better thrown, like on all three of those plays.
So yeah, I mean hold on to the one for
the first down instead of letting it bounce into Abram's hands,
I mean returns it to the touchdown, right, like, just
don't have those things happen. Yeah, I mean again, it's
(19:35):
very rare times where I say that one guy loses
a game for a team. Last night, Cadarius, Tony's lost
the game for him there's no other way to say it.
And I'm not saying he's a terrible player or anything
like that, or has no value or anything like he
just had. He had a crappy game. That's there's no
other way to say it. And yeah, if he catches
(19:56):
one of them, especially the one that went for the interception,
it's a different game and they probably only give up,
you know, they give up the fourteen points, they win
twenty to fourteen in all likelihood.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with Mike Carmen,
Live from the ti Raq dot Com Studios. Jason Cole
our guest. All right, so I've the couple of big
predictions I've made so far for this week. Look, I
was right. I said the Lions went on the field.
I have that the Jets are going to smash the
Bills on Monday.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
Anything anything else you want to pat yourself on on
he's pretty.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
In the bathboor no, listen, I'm the mayor of Detroit. Now,
I am the mayor of Detroit.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
So I told him about the rating problem he's inheriting.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
How how are you doing with the Mets this year?
I never mind?
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Sorry, Ok, the Jets are going to smash the Bills,
and I know you agree with me. What do you
thinks was thirty eight fourteen, thirty eight seventeen? What do
you think?
Speaker 4 (20:51):
I think the Bills are going to the super bowlket sure?
And you got no shot on stay.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Well not nut games on my So it's good, but
we make sure. Sorry it is the Jets. Sorry it
is the Jets. Hey, why is nobody in the stadium?
It's one o'clock oh tomorrow night?
Speaker 4 (21:09):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, all right, Sorry I
didn't have it all memorized. But I think the Buffalo
bubbo is on one of the most interesting if you
follow the narrative for more than a year. Right, you
go back to that game that they lose, can't sit
(21:29):
in the playoffs in twenty twenty one, right, and yeah,
they blow that game. It's a tough, you know, really
tough loss. Right, and then they definitely think that they
should have gone to the super Bowl. They prove themselves
a little bit too early the next year, you know,
because they open and they destroy the Rams right at
the beginning. Last year, they get off to an incredibly
(21:52):
hot start, going five and one going into the bye week.
They come back to kind of you know, ugly game
against Green Bays into six and one. Then they start
to muddle their way through games and then they have
this tragedy of DeMar Hamlin happens at the end of
last year, and I think that that completely threw them
(22:13):
for a loop. I think that's not a galvanizing moment.
I think that's one of those moments where athletes see
their teammate literally die on the field for a moment
and then get revived, and there's this sense of mortality
that most athletes really can't handle at this time in
(22:33):
their life because they're trying to do things that are
sort of superhuman or believe that they're superhuman, right, And
I think that that that wrecked the end of last season.
I think that they peaked way way too early, and
then they went through something that was really unique after
blowing a great opportunity at the end of twenty twenty one.
(22:53):
I'm fascinated by how that team reacts this year. I
truly am fascinated, because they were there was a stretch
at the end of twenty twenty one through the you know,
the first six games of last season where they were
an absolute buzz saw and they should have. You know,
they were as good as any team, if not better
(23:13):
than any team in football, and then they lost it
last year and then they really really lost their stride
with the Hamling thing they carried over into the playoffs
and they were never they were never quite the same.
I want to know how the Bills handle that. I
think it's one of those great narrative, you know, sparks
that we want that we want to see how does
(23:33):
a team respond?
Speaker 3 (23:35):
Jake go on, what are the great battles this week
here in Los Angeles? Tellen Moore versus Vic Fangio. Who wins.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
Christmas?
Speaker 1 (23:48):
You got to go down to brass tacks. Okay, that's
how it's being presented here. That that that's that's everybody's
Internet page. That's how they're presented there.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
It's more Fangio, that's the that's the battle. That's that's
a couple of guys with huge personalities. Okay, mister electricity
Keen Kellen Moore looks like he still belongs in junior
high school and Vic Fangio is like grunt satoo. That's
about the best you're going to get out of those
to go.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
Did you see I don't need I don't need them
for press conferences.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
But Sangio is a great, great defensive coach that's well established,
and he's got some pretty good talent there and some
guys he's worked with. I do think that the Chargers.
I think that that Herbert is a way better player
(24:40):
than he played last year because of the injuries, a
bad offensive scheme, all those things. I he's much closer
to what he was the first two years when he
threw what thirty one tds and thirty eight TVs. I
think the Chargers should smoke the Dolphins in this game.
They really should just crush them. If they don't, then,
(25:00):
you know, for Rostburg will be living with your guys
harping on him for a while, which you guys always
do because it's the Chargers. But you know, VIC fans,
not VIC fanjo. This Chargers team is healthy, they're they're
really really good, and they should play like it in
this opener against the team that. Granted, the Dolphins are
(25:22):
a playoff team, you know, they're they're they're not a
powerhouse yet. We'll figure out if TU is there, But
like to me, the Chargers should be a much much
better team than than the Dolphins, this year. When it's
all said done, I just.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Hope they put Fangio in charge of timeouts. That's all.
It's not too much.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
You want, you want well better than Staley. I mean Staley.
What's Staley going to do? Oh, let's go from it
from our own twenty seven.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
You know, let's see that I work for Dan Tamble.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
He's Brandon Staley is going to be the first NFL
coach you say, I'm cutting my punter. We're not hunting
the entire season. That's what we're going to do. I
mean yeah, Like, there's a guy who just believes in
his own BS more than anybody who hasn't. Why, Like,
(26:16):
Sean Payton believes in his own BS. There's no question
about that, right, But Sean Payton's actually done something right
and had one of the best offenses in the league
for a long time, has a Super Bowl, all those
kinds of things, Right, Braydon Story acts as if he
is already Sean Payton, and I just don't get it.
I don't get it at all.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
All Right, Jacob, let me leave you with this. Now,
what's the bigger thing that you would look forward to
if you could only do one thing? This weekend to
watch the Cowboys Giants game on Sunday Night Football, or
to be able to interact with the artificial intelligence hologram
version of Jerry Jones that the Cowboys unveiled. So it's
the actual game or AI Jerry Jones. What do you think?
Speaker 4 (27:01):
I wish Don Banks was sole wise so that he
could do the voice of the AI. That would be
That would be awesome, man, that it's gotta be the A.
I think, like there's no question about it. Like, could
you imagine the conversation that you have, Like I hope
that they spent like hours and hours recording Jerry just
(27:23):
to get all the conversations, to know where that he
has it. Just that would be fantastic because you would
get some cowboy bes in there. You would definitely get
cowboy bes on the AI version of Jerry.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
Well, I don't, I don't. I don't want to spoil
a surprise, but they've actually asked me to record the
AI voice of Jerry, So I actually.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
No, no, don't do it. Don't don't do it.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
Don't don't see that long setup.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
I'm not I will not, I will not do my
own Jerry. Please don't do yours. Just don't no, God,
here you're taunting me again, do you second time? Dog with.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
This? This is a guy watching Shrek to a couple
too many times.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
It's a yah, that's not Shrek to that that that
that would be mono. That's what that is? Okay, French thing.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
What I enjoyed, I speak. I enjoyed that Ratituey movie.
That was pretty good with the with the racket rat
talking food.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
That was really good.
Speaker 4 (28:26):
I like that. That was a great French cooking too.
You know, I felt alive when I was.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Watching that a restaurant where that happened.
Speaker 4 (28:34):
Can you imagine like the the hologram of Jerry Jones
talking to the hologram of Snoop Dogg or no, not
Snoop Dogg. Sorry cause you mentioned that conversation. That would
be awesome, butun't it.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Well there you got. That's eight hundred words for you.
Maybe that could be your next book, right, conversation that
that that's your book instead of l Way Relentless Life
the last book. Now it's a I Jerry A relentless life.
That's your book.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
AI two pauk. Can we do that? Yeh, yeah, we
could do like.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
This why not.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
That is very will start with the lyrics, wouldn't he
started recyping lyrics? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Absolutely? The games?

know who this is?
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Ty Shirt?
Speaker 7 (29:38):
I have no idea, but she is immaculate?
Speaker 5 (29:42):
Aren't these wrong?
Speaker 1 (29:45):
Yes? It is. It's the Gypsies, It's yes. The name
of the band is the Gypsies and the name of
the song is Stevie Nicks.
Speaker 7 (29:51):
Yeah that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
Ye tell you're right, hey, the one You're right, You're right.
You know you know more about pre two thousand music
than I thought you did.
Speaker 7 (29:57):
Actually impressed with myself sometimes.
Speaker 5 (29:59):
Yeah, that's way pre two thousand.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
I guess. Yes, this is eighty Oh god, when is
Gypsy eighty four, eighty.
Speaker 5 (30:07):
Three eighty not going to be played here? Anymore.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
Yeh eighty two. Yeah, pre dates ty Shirt off the
album Mirage.
Speaker 7 (30:15):
That's the nineteenth century.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
That's right, Hey, Tycher, you want to go see her
in concert?
Speaker 7 (30:20):
Where yet?
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Over at the Forum in December?
Speaker 7 (30:26):
Oh? I think opening Jay down?
Speaker 1 (30:29):
Hang on, just about this is about school. The last
century was the twentieth century? Nineteen was the twentieth century?
Speaker 5 (30:37):
Yeah, yes, but it was the nineteen hundreds.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
The name of the movie company wasn't twentieth century Fox,
it was the nineteenth century.
Speaker 7 (30:44):
Oh you should know it.
Speaker 5 (30:45):
Just for that, Dad, you were born in the nineteen hundreds.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
That was twentieth century.
Speaker 7 (30:50):
So nineteen hundred's got it.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
One of the big games on Sunday. If we're talking
about Aaron Rodgers and the Walking Soap Opera, the Jets
and the Bills on Monday again, the Jets are going
to match the Bills on Monday. Uh, the number two
walking soap opera that's going to gain so many eyeballs
this year. We broke down what are the three biggest
topics going to be the three biggest players we follow
and talk about all season long. Aaron Rodgers, Dak Prescott
(31:16):
and Russell Wilson. The Broncos kick things off against the
Raiders on Sunday, one of the late games, and Wilson
said yesterday he's keeping receipts after his bad twenty twenty two.
I have good news bad news for Wilson and the
Bronco Okay, good news, bad news. Let's do the bad
news first, because I always, you know, let's do the
bad news first. Boy, this is what scares me about him.
(31:40):
I expect him to be better than last year. But
how much better? Dude? I don't know. Man, Just go
just think about this. Have you heard anything good about
him this offseason? In the preseason? Have you heard anything
good about how he's mastering the offense? Was shown on
Peyton they're getting along well, things look like they're ready
(32:03):
to go. No, it's all been well. There's growing pains,
and it's Sean Payton every couple of weeks saying something
about Russell Wilson. What you're not running for office? What's
this whole image thing with you? There has not been
one positive story about Russell Wilson getting back and being
the quarterback. He was not one where usually summer is
the time for hey, this is where everything is possible
(32:26):
and even the worst guys in the world. We have
a chance on you know, because it's August and we
haven't played a game yet. That really really hits with
me that you have not heard one good thing about him. Now.
The good news is they'll have enough to win on Sunday.
The Raiders are still kind of a mess. There always
have been a mess. The Broncos at home. Sean Payton's
a really good coach, going to get the most out
(32:47):
of this offense. Whether Jerry Judy plays or not. It's
gonna be an ugly game, but I see the Broncos
winning this like a sixteen thirteen game. But boy, it's
not gonna be great for Russell Wilson. There's gonna be
people having his defense go the first game on the
first game. Remember you've not heard anything good about him
this preseason.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
Well, I think the biggest thing is all of the
details and Sean Payton, he's doing everything he can to
set him up as the fall guy if this goes wrong. Right,
I'm a wizard. And look, we just couldn't get rid
of all the bad habits. Right, he became a celebrity
quarterback and blah blah blah, all of these things running
for office and what have we heard everything about what
(33:25):
was stripped away of what was wrong from last year,
as if that was telling me, well, if we just
get rid of this, suddenly he's going to remember how
to play football completely, like the absence of selling him
maybe a little bit on. All Right, the weapons are
here and look at the wide receivers. Although you've already
lost Patrick for the season again, that was going to
be your possession guy. So that's kind of a huge
(33:47):
loss as well as occasionally taking one taking the top
off the defense. But you know, Judy's coming in with
an injury, Javanti Williams is coming back off a big injury.
Is he going to be right and ready to go? Yeah,
it's been a lot more about twenty twenty two than
it has projecting forward.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Yeah, it's just it's a really weird time right now.
This is if j Cole is fascinated by what's gonna
be going on with the Bills this year, and the
Bills will be a really fascinating story, this Bronco story
with Sean Payton and Russell Wilson, because this is gonna
be it for Wilson if he can't do it it's
not gonna be Sean Payton taking it's gonna be Hey,
the guy's washed. We got to find a way to
move on, next quarterback, whatever it is. But after this
(34:26):
year he's done. That's gonna be it. This is absolutely fascinating. Hey,
more NFL and a big story out of college football
coming up next right here, Fox
