Speaker 1 (00:00):
Lad you want experience during your football season, well, buckle up,
sweet cheeks. We've got all the experience in the world.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
This is I.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Want your flex with Dan Byer and Mike Harmon. Mike
and Dan break down everything you need to set your lineups,
from position rankings.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
To starts and sits.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
The guys help you make those hard decisions. And now
let's get your flex on. Here's Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Seriously, whoever had this Monday night doubleheader idea must be
an idiot.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I mean, I just it is. I want your flex.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
You hear the laugh of Ryan Bersinger, our executive producer.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Hit him up at Ryan Bursinger.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Harmon's gonna join us letter you can hit him up
at Swollen Dome. You can find me at Dan Byer
on Fox. First, this is my problem with it. I
didn't mind the opening night Monday night double that we
previously had. I just can't stand the stagger starts because
there's at one point I didn't want to watch either
game that was going on, Like I know, Brown Steelers

(01:09):
kind of got crazy, but I didn't want anything to
do with Saints and Panthers. And then you had the
injury I just it drove me crazy to have two
games simultaneously going out at the same time, and there
was literally a point where I'm like, I want to
what else is on?

Speaker 2 (01:24):
I just I'm not a fan of this format, not
a fan at all.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
No, I felt the same thing. If it was I
was definitely confused after the Panthers same game started. I
had to go ask people what time did the Steelers
Browns game play, because I assumed it was after the game,
but I'm like, that doesn't make any sense. They're in
a different time zone. So yeah, and then I once
the as soon as the in fact, like five minutes

(01:47):
before kickoff of Brown Steelers, I turned it over to
that game because I was already like, yeah, I'm I'm
not having fun watching this first one here. But eventually
as it gotten to the fourth quarter, I went back
to that one, and then I think it ended with
Brown Steelers like still at halftime, So it was kind
of just a weird cross over there. And yeah, overall, yeah,

(02:09):
definitely could have had more fun watching these.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Yeah, and in a fantasy perspective, the biggest news is
obviously the loss of Nick Chubb. I mean, the injury
a gruesome injury. I'm not a fan of the injuries Bush.
I don't like to watch them. Doug Gottlieb always likes
to say, you know, like there's three types of people.
Do you not look, do you look once, or do

(02:32):
you watch over and over. I did the I'm gonna
squint my eyes and kind of look and if I
can continue to watch it, I will, and I did.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
And it was bad. It was an awful injury.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
But now you're sitting there trying to figure out, fantasy wise,
for the Cleveland Browns, what in the world that you
can do. Heck, even as a team, just for themselves.
I think you're trying to figure out what you can do.
I know Jerome Ford's gonna be a big name. Kareem
Hunt was trending on Twitter on Monday night. I think

(03:03):
they could be possibilities if Hunt wants to go back
to Cleveland.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
But Jerome Ford's going to be a hot name.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Waiver wire wise, Mark Cooper's picked up a little more value,
but just a devastating injury with the Browns.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Nick Chubb is a guy who every
season for the last couple of years, people in fantasy
have celebrated the name of Nick Chubb, because he's been
this incredible model of consistency and even to start the season,
he had a great game in Week one. He just
looked like he was going to continue that RB one level,
which is really hard to come by at that level

(03:37):
of year in and year out, having that level of consistency.
So it's really really unfortunate to watch a guy like
Chubb go down like that. Jerome Ford did look very
solid in his absence. He looks like he's, yeah, if
he's on waivers, obviously he's going to be the number
one target going into waivers this week. And I'm probably

(03:58):
maybe the only person in guillotine leagues who was chopped
in a league because Pierre Strong got a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
So wait what that?

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Yes, that happened in my other guillotine league. I've been
chopped from that one. I had like Austin Eckler, and
I had cam Akers like I.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
It was. It was in a really tough pathletic.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Yeah, So I was hoping that maybe with with Amari
Cooper's injury news, that Elijah Moore would would have a
big game and then I would be able to overtake
that last person. But uh, they had Pierre Strong in
one of their running back slots, and because Jerome Ford
had that gigantic run called down at the one yard line, uh,

(04:43):
they let him take a breather, and Pierre Strong came
from whatever section he was sitting in in the stadium
and decided to run in that touchdown. And I'm not
in that league anyway.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
That's what that's what ticks you off is because you
got to reward the guy for doing all the work. Yeah,
you know, and if there's a even a little break
in the action to determine whether he got in or not,
should be enough of a breather where you're like, okay, buddy,
this is yours. You're gonna bring it.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Home, right.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
And then to see I mean, I can't imagine you
walking around and I saw you a little bit on
Monday afternoon. But never once in our conversation did you say,
as long as Pierre Strong doesn't go off, I should
be good.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Like that was never mentioned in.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Our talks, and I don't think it was ever mentioned
in talks in the history of mankind, to be honest, like,
it has never been said. And it came to fruition
on Monday night. So Unfortunately for you, your guillotine league is over.
I'll say one more thing on the Brons, and I
honestly I don't have a lot to say about Pittsburgh
because the old saying, if you don't have anything nice

(05:50):
to say, don't say anything at all. I don't have
a lot of nice things to say about Pittsburgh. Like
as a George Pickens owner, I am scared right now,
like to see Kenny pick I know they've played San Francisco,
and I know they played Cleveland, and I think Cleveland's
got a really, really good defense and we're going to
see it throughout this season that if they're going to
make the playoffs without Nick Chubb, it's going to be

(06:11):
the other defense and not Deshaun Watson. But I just
aim right now scratched Najie Harris. All the fears that
everybody had for him coming into the season warranted. Jalen
Warren seems to be the one with you know that
was the sleeper if you will, or the one with
the value. I don't know how much you can even
trust him. But George Pickens, I mean, if it's not

(06:34):
for the seventy one yarder, and he was nice to
throw by Pickens, but it reminded me of the Zach
Wilson throw to Garret Wilson on Sunday, you know, like that.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Was that was the one.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
I am not a believer in Kenny Pickett right now,
and I think we'll find out a lot more about
him as maybe the defenses get a little bit.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Easier for the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
But I mean when I look at the Browns, just
to jump back to them, I got questions about Deshaun Watson.
Now this is the same the same sort of stuff
that he would do in Houston at times. And I
don't know if it was because Houston was you know,
four and twelve or you know, or what it was,
but he just plays sloppy.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
He just really does.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
And I don't think that you're going to see maybe
now with Chubb, as I say this Chubb's absence, you're
going to rely on him a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
But it's not what Kevin Stefanski wants to do.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
And so I just I have concerns about Pittsburgh, goraph,
concerns about Cleveland moving forward.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Yeah, looking at Deshaun Watson the next few weeks, the
Tennessee next week, then Baltimore then they're on by and
then it's the Niners. It's a really tough go of
it for a while for the Browns, and especially given
the fact that Deshaun Watson just doesn't look that sharp.
His fantasy numbers in Week one were booied a bit
by the fact that he had a rushing touchdown, but

(07:50):
outside of that, yeah, this week just thirteen and that's
what the six point passing touchdowns. So yeah, it is.
It is a really weird situation if you're if you're
somebody who has Deshaun Watson, hopefully you have another quarterback
that you can look to h and kind of play
matchups over these next couple of weeks. Uh, there are

(08:12):
guys where yeah, I mean, Russell Wilson just had a
huge game, but that still.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Here's the thing, you know, and I'll say this about
Russell Wilson in comparing to it. You know, they're gonna
throw one up at least once a game. They're gonna
throw one. They're gonna chuck it downfield. Now Watson did
that and knows it was almost picked off. I don't
know with Cleveland's defense if the Browns will be doing
that like Denver's defense now just does not seem to

(08:40):
be anything of great resistance, and I think I think
Cleveland does. So if you're going to make plays, I
think you're gonna keep it closer to the vest. And
I don't think you're gonna see de Shawn Watson with
three hundred and fifty yards passing. Maybe he gets the
yards running the ball, but I just don't see it.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Yeah, yeah, it doesn't seem to be that lucrative in
terms of passing at Russell Wilson the next couple of weeks.
Just looking ahead Miami this week, then the Bears, so
solid matchups there, but then the Jets in week five
and Deshaun Watson's bye week. You're looking at like if
Jordan Love is available, who's had a couple of strong games.
He's got the Saints this week. I know Marshawn Lattimore

(09:21):
has been shutting down receivers, but it's got the Lions
and the and the Raiders in the two weeks after that,
so there's some good possibility there. So just taking a
quick look at quarterbacks that could be available, there are
definitely some pivot options with with what we've seen from
quarterbacks and Deshaun Watson is starting to definitely look like
for at least for these few weeks, you might want

(09:42):
to pivot.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
I would not pivot to Kennie Pickett. I'll say that.
I think that's enough on Brown Steelers. But Panther Saints
oof another one that was tough. I mean, even you know,
Michael Thomas making great plays in a lave at a
you know, a great catch, They're always gonna be reliable.
I think that you can play them every single week.

(10:05):
But with Jamal Williams injury, Derek Carr just kind of
seems to be a little less of the Derek Carr
that we saw with the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I don't know, if I don't know what it is.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Maybe it's just putting on the Saints uniform, like these
guys like just maybe take a little bit of a
of a step backwards.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
I feel we did that with Jamis Winston.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
I feel like we did that with uh Andy Dalton
at times, even though Dalton had you know, Dalton had
a good game against the Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
I think last year was like a Thursday.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Night game, but it just like their throws that that
he ends up missing. And I just wonder, now, is
Taysom Hill, Like, I, if Taysom Hill is available, must play.
Considering you know, Saints go to Green Bay Week three
against the Packers, but you're missing Kamara, Jamal Williams is hurt,
and you're gonna play a Love and Thomas. Maybe Taysom

(10:55):
Hill is the only guy that you end up do
playing from the or do play from the New Orleans Saints.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Yeah, Taysom Hill did look rather interesting given the fact that, yeah,
like you mentioned, when Jamal Williams was out, he was
getting the both of the carries. Now Tony Jones got
work and the goal line and then ended up with
two touchdowns out of it. But if, like, if they
don't have Jamal Williams, and if Kendra Miller still continues
to be heard and not see the field, it would
feel like Taysom Hill is the stronger option in terms

(11:22):
of if you're gonna pivot to. I use the phrase
running back to describe Taysom Hill, but like, quite frankly,
that's that's where he would be. So and especially given
the way that tight ends are operating this season in fantasy,
he would provide a very intriguing option. And otherwise, yeah,
that Saints offense as you mentioned Chris Olave will still

(11:45):
get yards, Derek carr one passing touchdown over the first
two games, so it's a really Yeah, it doesn't look
great in terms of car he looks like he's taking
a step back and it's definitely concerning.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Let me ask you this, if you had Sam Laporta
or Taysom Hill next week, Sam Laporta and the Lions
based the Falcons Taysom Hill in the Saints play the Packers,
who are you playing?

Speaker 4 (12:10):
If Jamal Williams is healthy, I'm I'm going Sam Laporta.
But if he's not, I think I think Taysom Hill
is a very strong option there.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yeah, I think so too. And I think now you've
got a short week with Jamal Williams. Yeah, we don't.
I mean, so there's that question, and I bring up
Laporta because I think you're gonna You're gonna play TJ Hockinson,
You're gonna play Darren Waller, You're obviously gonna play Travis Kelcey.
But I think, like when we get in, we're gonna
you're gonna play Hunter Henry. He has been, you know,

(12:41):
great the first couple of weeks, but when we get
to kind of that six seven, eight, sort of nine
to ten, you know, eleven twelve sort of area. That's
where I think now that then you start to have
the conversation, and I just feel like Laporta is like.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
In that in that spot right now.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
So I I don't know if you think it's a
good comparison or is there Do you think there's a
higher benchmark or a lower benchmark if we're really trying
to determine his value.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
I think that's I think that's a strong comparison because
tight End is just it's just wild right now. It
is all over the Hunter Henry is raking in points
and other guys are doing absolutely nothing. It is such
a weird landscape at the moment. But yeah, Laporta is
somebody where I'd feel comfortable starting him. But I think

(13:29):
the upside of somebody like Taysom Hill with the running game,
if he's taking that over, Yeah, you can put him
ahead of these guys who are in the lower half
of the top ten range at tight end for sure.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Yeah, I think I think it's worth it. And plus,
you never know when you're gonna get that Taysom Hill
three touchdown game, right Yes, he had one game like
that last season and it allowed him to finish like
top five and tight ends.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah, it was against the Seahawks. I remember it. I
also remember him being on my bench that game and
I'm like, all right, you know, like there it was.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
It's like the night where you always had the same
lottery numbers and you're like, I'm I gotta get tickets tonight,
and there there it is seven one five your winners
tonight for your Big three. I say that because that
was my area code back in Wisconsin. But so all right,
there's there's enough of to look at Monday Night Football.
He is Ryan Bershing or I'm Dan Byer again. Harmon's
gonna join us a little bit later, just some scheduling

(14:30):
stuff that we're doing. Harmon's actually talking with Jason Smith
as we speak, as we record this episode right now.
So that's why Mike's not here. So Burch and Igen
figured we'd talk a little Monday Night football. We're also
going to stick around. We're going to talk a little
Waiver Wire look back from week two. Guys that we
talked about last week on the on the pod that
you should pick up and see how they fared. So
we're going to do that next here, and I want

(14:51):
your flex all right, Bursch is back, I'm here. Hit
him up at Ryan bersching Er. You can find me
at Dan Byer on Fox. And again, Harmon's going to
be around a little bit later. He and I will
take look at the waiver wire. In week three, we
look at the waiver wire. That was week two. I
had said on a podcast that we did last week
Verst that I felt the waiver wire between weeks one

(15:11):
and two were the most important of a fantasy season.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
It's not like you always strike gold, but.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
The first game of the season does give you an
idea of maybe where certain teams are putting their chips.
And I think we got validation in that in Week
two with one team specifically, and that's the Los Angeles Rams.
Like if you put in for Puka Nakula and you
put in for Kiren Williams, you reaped benefits in Week

(15:40):
two even though they played that stout forty nine ers defense.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Yeah, and which was very exciting for me. As we
had talked about last week. In one of my leagues,
I was the top waiver priority and we were discussing
what I would do with that decision, and I use
that to get Kiren Williams and I won this week.
It's that level of importance. Yeah, it's great, and I
feel even better about Kyroen given the fact that apparently

(16:07):
they don't want cam Akers around anymore so, which as
a Kien Williams owner, there are plenty of people out
there now who are just ecstatic about that news. My
hesitation about getting Kyen coming into this week was specifically
because of the Niners matchup, and as we had talked about,
I had said, I felt like Josh Kelly was the

(16:28):
one that was set up for the most instant success
for this week, but for the long run, the choice
felt like it should be Kien Williams. And I was
half right, and I will gladly be wrong about the
half that I got wrong there. So yeah, I'm very
excited to see what happened there with Kien Williams and

(16:50):
Puka Akua breaking records with his first two games. It's incredible.
It's great to.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
See twenty targets.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
I mean, it's a lot to not even consider Bursch
that that game would play out the way that it did,
and then as it did.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
For him to get twenty targets, Like if he would.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Have gotten twelve, I would have been like man twelve
targets and he didn't get twelve targets. He got fifteen
receptions on twenty targets for one hundred and forty seven yards. Like,
my goodness is I have Cooper Cup in the league
and I'm just sitting there like grinding my teeth, thinking
like this could all be Cooper Cups, Like we could

(17:31):
be off to another record setting season, and then now
you have to wonder on what do the Rams do
in terms of Cooper Cup and his role and what
happens to Puka Nakua when Cooper Cup does come back.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
But they paid off handsomely.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
I can't remember what I said honestly last week, and
I don't want to be the person that changes his mind.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
I thought, I said, go for Kyran Williams.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
I thought, okay, that's what I thought, is what That's
what I thought I said, But I didn't want to
say that. I didn't and then didn't because I picked
him up in a league. I didn't play him in
the league because of what we talked about with the
forty nine ers. But now I feel a lot better
with my running back situation since I had lost JK.
Dobbins in Week one. Joshua Kelly thirteen carries thirty nine yards.

(18:19):
That's the bad news. The good news is they were
playing a stout Titans defense, and unfortunately for Austin Eckler,
owners could be a little bit longer for him. I
like the matchup a lot better going to Minnesota against
the Vikings. I don't know if they're gonna win. I
don't know if they're gonna go to one and two
or fall to zero to three. I think it was
a tough matchup against Tennessee in week two, but if

(18:40):
he did pick up Josh Kelly, I think that you
can you at least got some good news because the
schedule gets a little bit easier and we just don't
know the status of Austin Eckler.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
I agree with that, and especially to seeing how the
way that both Kelly and Elijah Dotson kind of took
over the Josh Kelly role from the week prior. But
even then Dotson wasn't you used at the same level
that Josh Kelly was in week one. So I think
that does actually bode well for a very strong Josh
Kelly performance against that Vikings defense.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Justice Hill was another name we brought up. Yeah, eleven
carries forty one yards for the Ravens and they're winning Cincinnati.
Three receptions twelve yards in that matchup. The thing that
against stinks is Gus Edwards is still there, and Gus
Edwards is your goal line back, and he ended up
taking a touchdown, you know, having a score against the

(19:33):
against the Bengals, And so if you're a Justice Hill owner,
the opportunity is going to be there. But just like
anybody who owns a Ravens running back, you still have
to worry about Lamar Jackson and you still have to
worry about the other.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Guys in the backfield.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Not as high on Justice Hill on a week to
week basis as maybe we were trying to pick him
up off of.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
That Dobbins injury.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Yeah, and we kind of felt like there was definitely
a potential for a high ceiling with Justice Hill just
given the Ravens offense. But there is a very clear
delineation of of workload here. It's it's Hill's not going
to be a bellcow for the team. Gus Edwards isn't either,
but he will still get work, He'll get involvement, he'll

(20:16):
be in flex consideration. But that's really kind of the
most you can hope for right now from either one
of these running backs until you see maybe one of
them get a larger share of what's going on there.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
I tell you another thing with with Hill and Obj's
dinged up a little bit, and I'm not going to
make a startk not when someone is injured. But again,
my prospects on Obj weren't as high as others. But
you also had Mark Andrews come back next week. Say,
Flower seems to be the real deal. There are other

(20:51):
weapons there. I just think you're rolling the dice with
Justice Hill each week. Yeah, and it's just he may
have been a pickup for you, may have helped a
little this past week.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
I just would not play him with confidence.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
Yeah yeah, no, I agree, I agree. I think he
you can you can have him on your bench, but
it's hopefully better options.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
I said, Rashid Shiheed was a guy that I liked.
Sain's wide receiver. I actually still do made a couple
of plays in that game against Carolina, but.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
The inconsistency. Curious to see.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
What happens when Kamara comes back after Week three, but
just a majority of the targets go to go to
Michael Thomas and and Chris Olave and so again, unless
you're you know, you're in a three wide receiver maybe
double flex league, I would stay away from Rashid Shaheed,
even though I like his value. I really like him
as a player, just not comfortable with him week in

(21:50):
and week out.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
I agree there's definitely deeper league value in Rashid Shaheed,
but again it's another situation where he's a He's a
decent option to have on your bench, but hopefully you
got better players to start Final one.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Let me ask you this, what do you think about
the Jaguars receivers.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Well, I thought they would do a lot more this
past week, but uh, good for Christian Kirk he was
able to get it together and then I believe unfortunately.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Jay Jones six targets, zero receptions, Yeah, played two thirds
of the snaps, is dealing with a bit of a
knee injury. That's that's the part that not to put
you on the spot with Jaguars wide receivers.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
But I mean Calvin Ridley does seem to be the
number one guy. That's fine.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
They made an effort to get Kirk the football in
game two because they felt like he was neglected in
game one. So all of a sudden, guess what, Guess
who's got fourteen targets. Guess who's guess who's taking the
brun of that hit? And only Jay Jones after his
you know, week one performance, So that would be the

(23:04):
thing that I would be worried about. And you still
have ever an Ingram there, you know, who had six
catches for fifty seven yards on eight targets. So I
like Ingram, I like Ridley. Obviously Travis Etn gets action
as well, but not enough to maybe take away from
those guys. Jay Jones was a popular pickup in Week one,

(23:24):
and I think people felt the wrath in Week two
when you got a zero point.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
Zero from them, and don't I don't blame them again.
The thought process was there. We talked about that Chiefs
Jaguars game hopefully being eight points of palooza, and it
was not so. But there were pieces that definitely came through.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
But there were.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Also pieces that were Jay Jones unfortunately.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
I'll tell you what I think Texans Jaguars could be
points of pul loose in week three. Yeah, I know
last year they played like a thirteen to six game
and it was it was a game that Jaguars should
have won. Texans won the game last year in Jacksonville.
Maybe they'll be revenge on their mind. But I think
that could be a points of Pelosa. So if you
want to roll the dice with Zay Jones again, all

(24:08):
I would say is this would be the week to
do it. And heck, if Christian Kirk is neglected in
week one and they give them the amount of workload
they did in week two, my goodness, Jay Jones. Even
if you have a bad knee, week three could be
the opportunity. But watch that knee. You do want to
watch that knee if there is an issue. But there
is a tendency to maybe overcompensate for what you fail

(24:28):
to do in the first you know, the previous week.
I think that could be a story with the Jaguars.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
Oh Man, Yeah, no, I like it. And just to
bring up one name here that we didn't talk about specifically,
but because there was clarity later on in the week,
Zach Moss had a very strong week for the Colts
against that Houston run defense. And part of that too,
was because of the fact that Anthony Richardson ended up
having to leave that game, so then even more of

(24:55):
that workload went to Zach Moss. Eighteen carries, eighty eight
yards and a touchdown on the ground, along with four
catches too. So if Zach Moss is somebody as we
go into this week's waivers, if he is still available,
he is somebody that should be picked up because, like
I said, if Anthony Richardson is still out, he's going
to get a gigantic workload in terms of carrying that

(25:18):
rushing attack. And uh not that the Colts offense is
this powerhouse, but Zach Moss is getting that work and
he did put up the points this week.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
The Cults are in Baltimore in Week three, and as
crazy as this sounds, I know this doesn't matter to
you since you were born like a decade later. The
Colts have been in Indianapolis longer than they actually were
in Baltimore. We have gotten to that point, so I
know the Ravens have taken over. I remember asked their
friend Jerry Coleman the legend in Baltimore. I'm like, is

(25:53):
this still a thing? Like do people still you know,
like not like the Colts. He goes, you know what,
he goes, with the Ravens winning their two Super Bowls.
It's kind of moved on. They've kind of moved on
from it, you know. So there's there would be a
really old, you know, an older generation that would would
feel the anks towards the Colts. But heck, now, if
they've been in Indy longer in Baltimore, I don't think

(26:14):
you could be mad anymore. So all right, Bursch here,
night's done. Harmon's going to be finishing up some stuff
that he's going to join me here and I want
your flex.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
Have a great Tuesday and we will talk to you soon.
How about that? Oh of course, of course?

Speaker 3 (26:28):
All right, hit him up at Ryan Berschinger. You can
find me at Dan Byer on Fox. Dome is in
next with some Week three pickups here and I want
your flex.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Mike's here. Hit him up at Swallen Dome.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Find me at Dan Byer on Fox and fresh off
of his nightly show that he does on Fox Sports
Alreadio with Jason Smith, Mike Harmon here on, I want
your flex. As we start to talk about some waiver
wire ads for Week three and the I you know,
I told Bursch this earlier, and I mentioned when we

(26:57):
talked about it on the podcast last week. I'm like,
we one to week two is so important. Week two
to week three maybe be even more doubly important because
if you're Ozero and two, I don't know what is out.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
There for you to find.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
Maybe with the injuries in the National Football League that
we had in week two, you can find some, Hey,
but I don't want to start any fantasy season. Oh
and three, Mike, I know we've added an extra game
this last couple of years, so you have a little
extra time in your regular season. But if I'm Owen three,
I'm losing interest fast. So the waver Wire to me,
this week almost as important as it was last week.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
Now injuries mounting across the league. You know, you have
the grievance filed by the NFL about faking injuries at
the running back position, and then we have the unfortunate
uh Nick Chubb injury. Jamal Williams goes out, Barkley and
David Montgomery just keep on going. It's accredible laundry list,
like the end of a movie on TND when they're

(27:56):
starting the new one. So the other one. All the
credits go really fast. That's kind of what it is.
The list of names right now that are injured at
the position, so the opportunity to go make hay And
this is where it's really the curiosity league to league
of how deep you leave benches right, because the trend
in the last couple of years is to encourage waiver

(28:18):
wire activity, so you might actually still be able to
have a puncher's chance to add somebody of value. But yeah,
the frenzy and free agent acquisition budgets dwindling quickly because
of these early season injuries.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
I would get so mad when my when they do
the sitcoms, Mike, Yeah, King of Queens, you know, like
the last like little thirty second scene that you put
on or even of Seinfeld, like you're doing what you're
doing split screen, You've thrown some credits off to the side.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Now I got like what.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
And you got what music for the new thing starting
right and the the whatever production company has the thing
twenty five years for King of Queens year.

Speaker 6 (29:00):
Can you believe that?

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Oh I suppose, yeah, it would be late nineties it started.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
Oh man, I got a whole thing on their socials
where they're getting ready to put up a bunch of
content and all sorts of you know, behind the scenes
kind of stuff.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
That's how much would you pay for the painting of
Carrie's huge hand and Doug's fucked teeth?

Speaker 6 (29:22):
I'd go a couple thousand for the Yeah, there's.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
No question about it. I'd get out bit. I'm sure
by uh, well you were another super fan. But I
mean that would that would look really good in my
front hallway.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
I know it's not the Costanza on the couch, but
my goodness, would that be Would that be a great
piece to have in the limits.

Speaker 6 (29:41):
Well, the other one's so obvious though, right George and
the and the Bears, Yes, yeah, that's good. Or the Kramer,
those are all finding good.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Yeah, the Kramer, yep, yep.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
But the King of Queen's painting. I mean you gotta know,
I mean you gotta know. That's when you're going a
little deeper in your pop culture references there, so you
get the knowing nod for people at a dinner party. Yeah,
someone that you know comes back to the house and
looking going, yeah, this guy gets it.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
And then you'd be like, oh, you have the one
with Doug's good smile, you know, and not the woodchuck teeth,
because again there were two.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
You needed to pit him against each other.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
All right, let's get to let's get to some waiver
wire pickups.

Speaker 5 (30:25):
By the way, I was looking at some wait, wait
I got I'm telling you we got to reach out
to Nick Pocket though. Yeah, he's a friend of ours
in the fantasy room. He may know what happened to
that painting.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Oh, that would be great. It's probably in some lot somewhere.

Speaker 5 (30:38):
Yeah, I'm gonna write him and it's like, hey, if
we can find access to it at some point, or
you can come on the podcast and tell us what happened,
We're gonna figure this out.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Oh I saw.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
I was just doing some look aheads and I wanted
to see what people were talking about for a waiver Wire.
I saw an article that' said estimated reading time on
waiver Wire for a week three.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Twenty one minutes. Wow, I got good news for you.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
We are not going to take up twenty one minutes
of your time to talk about waiver wire ads for
week three. Mike Harmon does have a list, though. Let's
dive into the list. My cores and targets we should
get for the upcoming.

Speaker 5 (31:14):
Week, gone and nice and fast. Well, we still have
one more week before Alvin Kamara is going to be
eligible to come back. So while you may love a
little Tony Jones Junior, I'm looking straight at Taysom Hill.

Speaker 6 (31:25):
Now.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
It's going to depend on your league what he's available
as I got a note in one league management system
where he's at quarterback, and that's where he's gonna stay.
But you may still have a little bit of eligibility
at tight end, which means they'll be a bit of
a free feeding frenzy there. Jones, obviously, you know one
of those play defense. If you've got a bench slot

(31:46):
kind of situation. Then we look at Jerome Ford, at
least for now, looks like he's the man in Cleveland,
because face it, Deshaun Watson can't pass the ball. So
it's going to be a lot of Jerome Ford and
that defense if they're gonna want to win any games.

Speaker 6 (32:00):
See what I did, I just took the obligatory shot.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
I'm throwing Deshaun Watson off your fantasy team like he
should have been thrown on a Monday's game.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Uh you didn't, you didn't like his his antics, his Uh.

Speaker 5 (32:14):
Well, the game, I didn't touch the referee. It's like
nobody in that could pull up a cell phone fast
enough to go all right, explain this, but you know
it is what it is. Everybody took the low hanging
fruit of some of the worst jokes and puns.

Speaker 6 (32:29):
Dan, it'd be got ugly fast.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
Hey, come on, I used one of those jokes early on,
early on.

Speaker 6 (32:36):
Were you an early adopter?

Speaker 3 (32:37):
I said, after the Steelers scored that touchdown like a
minute in. Okay, my tweet was rough start for Watson
for sure, but I'm sure he's looking for a happy ending.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
That was my tweet.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
Okay, but that was a that was at eight nineteen eastern,
five nineteen pacific.

Speaker 6 (32:54):
So that I saw that one.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
Yeah, yes, as I was driving I mean I mean
pulling into the Fox Sports Radio parking lot.

Speaker 6 (33:01):
I mean I mean something like that.

Speaker 5 (33:03):
Anyway, Moving on, Sam Howell, I like Eric Bienemey's offense.
I thought they'd come to play. Really didn't think it
would take as long as it did to wake up,
but they did. He's only owned in twenty percent of
leagues right now, how about CJ. Stroud getting a little
love for the room, six hundred and twenty six yards,
a couple of scores which we're going to bring our
guy and Nico Collins in as well. Thirteen catches, already

(33:26):
over two hundred receiving yards. We had him on our
list before the season. Dan to break out. Now we
just need him to stay healthy. So keep him out
of any running back conversations because maybe he can be
shielded from that. Available in about fifty five percent of leagues.
This is going according to the Yahoo ownership. Jalen Warren.

(33:48):
Why because Najie Harris is pedestrian?

Speaker 6 (33:52):
Is that to be nice?

Speaker 5 (33:53):
So I think Jalen Warren's going to see more if
nothing else, Canny Pikett can complete a pass to him.

Speaker 6 (33:59):
See, I'm just taking everybody. What am I gonna do?

Speaker 2 (34:01):
Well? Pickett stinks right now. I don't know if he's
going to get better, but he's not good right now.

Speaker 5 (34:05):
No, no, no, He had that wide open throw to Pickens.
Beyond that, yeah, it was it was a tough watch.
And then when he did make that throw, it looked
like he'd was holding on to his collarbone like you Okay,
they're a big fella.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
I'll give him a break.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
I think Cleveland's got a really good defense, yep, you know,
and the forty nine ers are their own animal.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
But let's let's see what happens. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (34:28):
No, I would agree one hundred percent.

Speaker 5 (34:30):
Zach Moss out there and folks were reticent to jump
on board that bandwagon. Yeah, we all got caught in
the switches with this one. But he's healthy and for
now we'll be the number one. So we look at him.
If you want to do a deep dive and just say,
maybe this works in your general direction, Tyd Chandler, because
I don't think Madison's very good. I think he's a

(34:54):
nice number two guy, and I think this becomes a
workload split before long. Obviously we bring up Matt Brida,
he will be the number one guy. I would guess
him and Ford in terms of opportunity as you look
at the Saquon Barkley injury and what that means to everything,
and then a couple of quick wide receiver slash tight

(35:15):
end Todd Collins. Josh Reynolds is still available at a
ton of leagues. Looks like he's going to have a
prominent role for Detroit. I fear that it'll be a
feast or famine situation for everybody not named Amon Ross
Sam Brown over time, but for now, he and Jared Goff.
I don't know if he bought him a nice sandwich
or what, but they seem to like each other. I

(35:36):
don't trust Russell Wilson as far as I could throw him,
but you're looking at Mims had himself a little bit
of a breakout day, So we keep an eye on that.
And then again not expecting giant fireworks and touchdown grabs.
But in point per reception League, opportunity is going to
be there for zach Ertz while he's healthy to pile
up perceptions in Arizona.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Again, it always comes back to that height end position
that we've got, whether we're talking Taysom Mill, whether we're
talking zach Ertz, it's just it's just, you know what
the heck is going on sort of position. It was
last year and it continues again this year in the
National Football League. I will say one thing, just on
the heels of your c J. Stroud and Nico Collins,

(36:20):
my points of palooza in Week three is Texans Jaguars.
I think that we're gonna see points over unders only
forty four right now, Mike, But I like that play.
I mean, I know, you got a Buckeye throwing to
a Wolverine doesn't make a lot of sense, but what
does in the NFL? And you know who knows Jaguars
loo to bounce back. I think we could have some

(36:42):
fun in that game after, you know, division rival. For
some reason, I'm just bullish on Houston, Like, I just
think at some point it's going to click and they're
going to be, you know, a better team wasn't in
the first half, and maybe maybe they get blown out
if Anthony Richardson's not knocked out of the game.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
But yeah, I don't know. I just think at some
point something's going to click for the Texans.

Speaker 5 (37:04):
I would say this for them is that you're also
looking at a squad that played this week without four
of their outfits and linemen. Yeah, yeah, right, So the
opportunity is going to be there when they finally get
their starting lineup truly together, which means, you know, a
by low opportunity when we already start talking about trades

(37:26):
because we're certainly doing it in the NFL proper right
of Hey, do you go get cam Akers if you're
the Browns, or do you go and put in the
chips all to the center of the table and convince
Ersa to trade to Jonathan Taylor if he's not going
to play for him. All of those kinds of things
same thing in fantasy. I mean, Damian Pierce is a
guy that you know, we as you mentioned, not exploding

(37:48):
fantasy right now. But it's a decent by low situation
because he wouldn't have been a high investment for whoever
owns him anyway that maybe you can just say, hey,
here's a wide receipt or a tight end or something
that gives you a little more stability. Let me take
that distressed property off your hands, and then you can
profit once they get back into the good graces. And

(38:11):
I mean Stroud thus far. I mean you got to
be impressed with what he's given you. And certainly Anthony Richardson,
except he doesn't take care of his body. Trevor Lawrence
tried to warn him in week one Week two he
learned a harsher lesson. It gives us Minshu mania, but
you know that only runs so far before the frustration

(38:32):
sets in.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
There. He's Mike Carman, I'm Dan Byer.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
It is I Want Your Flex, Ryan Berschingers, our executive producer,
we hope you. We've got you covered for Waiver Wire
in week three and looking back to what happened on
Monday Night and week two and so much more. On
our next episode of I Want Your Flex, Mike and
I dive deeper, not only into the running back situation,
the whole Sean McVay field goal conversation. Yeah, that and

(38:56):
so much more so until next time for Ryan Berschinger
and Mike Carbon and I'm Dan Byer.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
This has been I Want Your Flex. Mm hmm
