Hallis Hall, What didner didn't happen with Pa Tilman, What
didner didn't happen with Justin Fields? Okay, that actually happen.
You know, Yeah, what do you got from us?
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Do you realize this is like Christmas Day for Jason
Cole to night between the Jets.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
He's been he's been waiting all day for this. Yeah,
he's been waiting all day for this.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
He's been waiting for his life for this.
Speaker 5 (01:15):
But again it goes to all of it of trying
to go through the semantics and what's being not said
by eber flus By Bears press releases by the attorney
hastily hired for Williams early this morning of a whole
lot of non he went coach speak more or less
(01:38):
while while talking on the radio, well ye have.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Your defensive coordinator resigned? There were reports that Hallis Hall
was rated or not rated, Peanut Tillman was part of
the raid, that he wasn't part of the raid. Justin
Fields doesn't like you. Uh yeah, I'm gonna go to
coach speak too, if that's the case. I'm just gonna
know what's the what's the fewest things I can The
biggest thing is yet off this day.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
Iber Flu shouldn't have been the guy on the stage
is it would be My argument like this is one
where someone in top management addresses this one.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, but no, but Tom Madge wants to keep their job. Eberflus.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
They're all getting He's expendable actually talking about it. You
got fired there. He just got there. And then of
course Ryan Poles it was his birthday, so I guess
they he got an exemption for the day.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Hey, I'm out of the office today because it's my birthday.
So just when I'm at Brookfield Zoo, I'm taking the tour.
I think I think you are a pretty easy day.
There's not a lot on the docket, so we're okay.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
I think I mean Wednesday, reach.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Out to me. I'll have my phone on. Uh, just
let me know. But remember got know, I got the
I got the dinner tonight at five o'clock. So after that,
I'm out of pocket. Just I think you should be fine.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
So we'll have more on that coming up in a
few minutes. But we did see a big trade today
in the NFL, something that we're not We weren't too
surprised to see the Vikings have a new running back
and it is Cam Acres. We knew Acres is going
to be dealt. His time with the Rams was adding
end after last week when he was not made active
for the Rams game. Kyron Williams has taken over as
(03:06):
a lead running back. It's been a star crossed last
couple of years for cam Akers with the Rams. He
left the team for a few weeks last year, and
now he came back and was ostensibly going to the
lead running back, but he's left off the active roster.
There's a lot of back and forth, and Sean McVay says,
we're gonna try to trade him, we're moving on, and
and cam Akers says, I don't know why. I don't
(03:28):
know what's going on. I'm as confused as the rest
of you. And then Sean McVay says, I thought we
were pretty clear with what we were doing going forward.
So none of this is a surprise. Cam Akers goes
to the Vikings, who have the worst rushing attack in
the NFL. Replacing Dalvin Cook with Alexander Madison has not
really gone how they expect.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
They've also abandoned the run, like we've seen so many
teams do.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, they have. They have four. They have four rushing
attempts all season. I mean it's it's not you're not
gonna win that way. So yeah, This is a pret
You're swapping late round draft picks to get cam Akers out,
to get him over to minute and Minnesota. You need
to make this move. You're desperate, right, you're zero and two.
You're seeing your quarterback, You're throwing the football phenomenally, you're
not running the ball, and it's not enough to win. Yeah,
(04:10):
it's a pretty easy move to make. You're not really
giving up anything to get a guy who is a
really talented running back. But suddenly, if you expect suddenly
Cam Akers is going to be terrific and be the
big difference maker. I mean, I think we've seen over
the course of his career. You know he's not just
gonna suddenly. He's not a plug and play guy. But
it's something the Vikings had to do because they're desperate.
(04:30):
And I'm bummed and I'm pissed because I don't want
the Vikings to get better, kind of the Vikings to
keep losing. So in five weeks, it's boy, we stink.
We're one and six. What do we do well? The
Jets keep calling for Kirk Cousins. Let's at least get
a fourth round pick for maybe a third round pick
if they make the playoffs. Hey, let's at least get
something for him. Let's move on. Maybe we'll tank and
get Caleb Williams. Things up, Okay, let's send Kirk Cousins
(04:51):
to the Jets. So I'm rooting against the Vikings. Some
I kind of pissed this trade happen. So that's got
I'm kind of of two minds on this.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
Mike Garmon, Yeah, I mean we saw the final six
weeks of last season for cam Akers. He was fantastic.
He was in the doghouse, and we had a lot
of unknowns related to that early in the season because
that was the big thing in terms of the Yeah,
he's up on the trade block and here's a bunch
of teams that might be interested, Like, I need the
whole backstory.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Something's missing here for.
Speaker 5 (05:20):
A guy that finished the season with one eighteen and
three scores, one twenty three and one oh four to
be the guy that's the odd man out? Like what
am I missing here? What is going on behind the
scenes and off the field that made him not Sean
mcvay's guy. So if you're going to go and make
(05:40):
a deal for him, yeah, that's why it's a very
late pick. Not only is it a he's a running back,
so we know the market place being what it is.
But you got a lot of injuries, so you would
have thought someone would have come up with more than
a conditional uh, pick swap and whatever for a third
day kind of thing. But here we are, this is
(06:02):
the marketplace, and and maybe he fixes the Vikings' fortunes,
and well you never get that quarterback and you have
to go get Peterman.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Suddenly it's gonna be in a month, that's gonna be. Oh,
the cam't make what a trade. Vikings are unbeaten with
cam Akers. He's run for four hundred and fifty yards
and six touchdowns in the first four weeks. Oh, what
a great move to get him. They're keeping Kirk Cousins
and the Jets are gonna get justin fields. What got
We're going right now?
Speaker 3 (06:27):
You guys think it's any coincidence that the Rams trade
him to the Vikings when they're playing the game?
Speaker 5 (06:31):
No, no, no, that was the next point I was gonna
make here that that was about as obvious a ploy
as you can get, just like kicking a field.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Goal to shady acres man.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
I didn't know.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
What the spread was you're a liar and.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
DJ clearly for the Vikings, They're running game has hit
a red light. Hoping to change it to green acres
is brought in by the Vikings. DJ.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
Farm living is the life from that in lot of
farmland in the land of ten thousand lakes.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
That was a that was a justin field briminism.
Speaker 1 (07:09):

Today This day in history Wednesday, September twentieth, twenty twenty three.
(07:35):
Today is the lowest point for the running back position
in the history of the NFL. Today the lowest point
for the running back position in the history of the NFL.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
You put it on today, all right?
Speaker 5 (07:50):
Why are you ascribing you talk and building you know
a Hollywood star for September twenty.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
And look, tomorrow might be worse than today. What about today?
Is today the worst day of your life.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
Yeah, tomorrow could be worth reference a bit underrated right there.
Today is the worst that you have, the overall belief
in the position that they're never gonna get paid again.
They had the big summit this offseason and there's nothing
that's gonna come of it because the CBA was argued
and there's no escape. Teams aren't gonna pay running backs
(08:24):
a lot of money for more than a year at
a time.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
It's just not gonna happen. You saw the best running
backs were coming up for contracts failed to get paid.
Austin Eckler failed to get paid, Jonathan Taylor failed to
get paid. So Saquon Barkley failed to get paid. So
you know nobody's getting paid now when you put on
that the future of the running back position with all
the injuries that we have seen so far, right, whether
(08:49):
it's it's Nick Chubb or Saquon Barkley or Eckler. Look,
Jonathan Taylor, who may or may not be as interest
as you're thinking is, but the guy did have an
injury and he's on the pup list right now. Aaron
Jones JK. Dobbins is out for the year. And then
all the other running backs who have started the year
say hey, I got a ball out so I can
get paid at some point. How many of them are
disappointing half the league, more than half the league. Josh
(09:12):
Jacobs ran for a negative amount of yards last week. Right,
Joe Mixon Akers gets traded. Naji Harris is gonna lose
his job any day to Jalen Warren. Right, Javonte Williams,
Madison Sanders, Isaiah Pacheco, Khalil Herbert, who you thought was
gonna lead the backfield in Chicago may he may wind
up losing carries. Right, Jamal Williams is out for a while.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Yeah, Johnson's a player in Chicago if you haven't picked
him up already, and you.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Have Gibson, none of these guys. This is over half
the league where you're talking about guys that can't run,
you know, you know throwing. Damian Pierce, who I think
has thirty carries for thirty five yards for the Texas,
great start he had last year. Nobody is producing, Nobody's
gonna get paid. Today's September twentieth lowest point in the
history of the NFL for running backs. For the running
(09:59):
back it's never been as low as it is this day.
It's kind of like when you look at a river
or a lake. For a long time ago. Boy, this
lake it was a big hot spot and people came
to vacation here in the sixties and the seventies and
it was a big play. But then the eighties came
the little bit of a drought going on in the
two thousands and now and now the water levels are
at the lowest it's ever been, and it's hard. You know,
some of the channels you can't take a boat through
(10:20):
anymore because it's too low. You can't get a boat by.
And you're hoping for some kind of weather related event
or a big storm to come in and bring the
lake level back up, but it's just not ever going
to come back up to the level it was at all. Right,
That's kind of where the running back position is right now.
It's at the lowest level it's ever been in the
history of the sport.
Speaker 5 (10:38):
Yeah, And I think one of the things that also
plays out of it is we got that filing of
a grievance yesterday by the NFL, or was that Monday?
The el blood together since the bear suck, it's just
you know, what level am I on in the rings
of hell?
Speaker 1 (10:53):
They played together for me since college. You know, you
get a couple of days, grace, it's all good.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
No, So like just the idea that you're you're also
questioning player's integrity and calling that and putting that into
illegal document that's not whispers behind the scenes, that's not
in fighting and just negotiation. No, that that's actionable stuff
saying we think this guy's you know, full of bull
(11:18):
junk over here to steal from Deonna Sanders as we go.
And you've got a number of legitimate running back injuries.
You mentioned Jonathan Taylor. How much was he hurt? How
much is his ego hurt in terms of not getting
on a field. All of those things you know that
that put together make for an even more difficult run.
(11:41):
You got seven more years of your CBA, right. I
heard folks the other day with all the injuries saying,
well they should get on another another call. And this
is before the grievance was was put up, like to
do what what are you gonna do? Stage a walkout?
You tell me there's not a bunch of guys ready
to stand up and take your jobs. That's been the
whole point of this in terms of, you know, being replaceable,
(12:06):
and that doesn't take away from what we see and
we marvel McCaffrey and all these guys are what they do.
But we've already seen what the industry, what teams will do,
and how they'll pivot from a guy quickly once the
money becomes an issue or the performance and health starts
to take a turn. And so yeah, I think to
(12:30):
your point, Yeah, I'll give you this date as the
lower until tomorrow when the next injury report comes out.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
What about today, Peter, Yeah, No, tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
Could be even worse.
Speaker 5 (12:41):
Yeah, because it's not just on the running backs. It's
also the other injuries to an offensive line or whatever
that start to pile up. Right, they're going to be
the most effected in terms of their measurable performance that
they can put on tape to go into a meeting
room and say here are my stats, Like, oh, you
weren't very good. It's like, but my three linemen weren't playing.
(13:02):
It's like, doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Next man exit, how about a Fresca exit? Swollen dome.

Progressive dot com well well, the Jets turning to Zach
Wilson and it not going well on Sunday, then you
had this morning Justin Fields throw the Bears coaches under
the bus, saying it's their fault he's not playing well.
Then he said he didn't mean to throw the Bears
coaches under the bus. Then Hallas Hall was raided, Then
Hallas Hall was not raided. The defensive coordinator Allen Williams
(14:39):
resigned as DC of the Bears. Lots of all kinds
of speculation on social media, and then there was report
that Peanut Tillman, former Bears defensive bag Peanut Peanut Punch
led the raid on Hallas Hall that apparently did not exist.
With these stories going on, this may be the greatest
day in the life of our next guests. He comes
(15:00):
on the show to talk about them. He is a
longtime NFL insider. He is a Hall of very Good voter.

It really is like a perfect storm for me, isn't it?
It really is.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
It's ever gonna get better for you.
Speaker 6 (15:30):
This is a dream scenario. I don't know what today
other than to say, why would you guys want to
bring me on?

Because you're our best friend, friend of the show. It's
time for you to give it Victory lap.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
He always it's like, oh I did oh, you know,
I get a sandwich once in a while, so I
felt bad for you.
Speaker 6 (15:52):
So this is this is great. No, this is good,
this is good. But what is it like to know
that your team's season is over before week three?
Speaker 5 (16:04):
Well, to be honest, I really predicted mine would be over.
I predicted it before week one. Smith will attest to
that before they even snapped the ball against Green Bay.
But today I just kept refreshing and little chills going
through my body with each mention.
Speaker 6 (16:22):
This was so bad for the Bears that ever Flows
was probably looking and going, yeah, put justin out there
some more. Let's just talk about some coaching issues. Okay,
can we do that? Can we let's talk about Yeah,
we'll talk about the offense and bad coaching issues. We'll
do that that's that's better than this other stuff. That's
(16:43):
how bad that day is for the Bears.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
Well, and then they cut Peterman.
Speaker 6 (16:49):
That that was a lame attempt to also write that's like,
that's like trying to think, oh, maybe we can get
the news to be about the backup quarterback who beat
out PJ. Walker, who we spent a bunch of money on. Yeah,
maybe they'll get attached to that story and ignore the
fact that our defensive coordinator has quit amid rumors of
(17:13):
an FBI raid that maybe did happen or maybe did not,
but who knows. But I will say this, among all
the things from that belief believable of all of them,
is that Peanut Teleman was actually leading the raid. That
I don't believe the rest of it would have been to.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
It because you know what his move is as an
FBI agent. He sneaks up behind the bad guy and
he punches out whatever he's got in his arm that
was stolen, and they retake the property back. That's that's
what happens to the FBI.
Speaker 5 (17:40):
It's kind of like a play on the Rockford Files,
just different Peanut.
Speaker 6 (17:44):
Punch yeah a little bit. Yeah, Yeah, it's not really
going much. That's that's not doing much. You need better
material than that.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Come on, man, who put the peanut punch into an
FBI rate. Come on, you could be like it would
be like his signature move. He'd be like the next one.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
The only thing is you could say is that Justin
Fields is learning the peanut puch for every time he's
going to throw an interception so that he can try
and create a turnover.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
I don't know, Ja Cole, that you know.
Speaker 5 (18:10):
I went back like a degenerate I am, And I
watched that game again, like, I don't know that I've
ever seen a guy with that much time to throw
who was unwilling to do so. Yeah, I'm a pretty
clean pocket for a good chunk of that game and
wide open windows and wouldn't throw.
Speaker 6 (18:26):
The ball because this is not what he learned to do.
This is not the offense that he knows how to run.
This is again what he did in college. And I mean,
I don't know what offense he went in high school.
Presumably it's one that obviously took advantage of his amazing ability,
(18:47):
because if you had a kid like that high school level,
he would just sit there and go, we'll run anything
that puts the ball in his hand right. But this
is the flaw of the urban Meyer Ohio State Florida
go back to Utah system where it's not predicated upon
(19:08):
learning pro style techniques where okay, you throw the ball
to here, you know, we lead receivers. These are the
open spots. It's either okay, we're going to hand the
ball offense like power running game, We're going to do
some bs kind of underneath, throw a little flip pass
or whatever we're gonna call it, or we're throwing deep
because we're so good and so talented that the other
(19:31):
team has to come up and play the run and
we're eventually going to get one on one looks. I mean,
it's really it's a really basic theory. I mean, this
is a high school offense that they run at Ohio State,
but they do it really well because they got so
much talent and they've been doing it for years, and
really Urban Miners offense is an elaborate high school offense
(19:53):
that he took to the college level and then tried
to take to Jacksonville and everybody's like, well, it ain't
going to work here. So to ask a guy to
drop back deliver the ball on time into you know,
certain windows, and all that other stuff that he has
to do against complicated defenses, against prows. At this level,
(20:15):
it's it's hard and it takes a long time. And
he now is showing you he's resistant to it. And
if he's resistant to it and doesn't understand, this is
what you have to learn in order to be able
to succeed. Like at least when I watch Anthony Richardson,
you watch a guy who's like, Okay, I get what
(20:36):
I have to do in the passing game and the
things that I have to learn, like he had. He
saw this one pass that was off target. He kind
of completed because the wide receivers made a really nice
play on the move. But he came over after that
play and you could see him and you know the
look on his face like I know I have to
deliver that ball better to make a better play, to
(20:58):
create a better opportunity for you. Now, whether he can
do it, can do it or not, you don't know,
But at least he acknowledges it and he knows he
has to learn that, and that gives you hope and
promise that he's going to learn all this stuff with
Justin Fields this week had told you he doesn't believe
in what he's being told, and that's a big, huge problem.
(21:22):
That means he's probably not going to work out. And
now Everfluss and his group are not going to work
out either a because they're not convincing him, like they're
not figuring it out with him how to do it.
And all of a sudden, the FBI. There's some supposed
FBI issue with your defensive coordinator who's quit after week two.
(21:46):
This is not a good look for young gieber Fluss.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Well, here's how I can solve. I can solve at
least one of the projects. I can't do anything about
Peanut Tillman leading a raid on Hallis Hall, and you know,
I can't do anything about it, but.
Speaker 6 (22:00):
Well, no, what we need to do is find out
if that's really true, because if it's true, that's awesome. Like,
but but the fact that we didn't see like pictures
of like FBI vehicles in front of Hallis Hall, because
if the FBI does stuff like that, they make sure
that everybody knows that they just did that, right, Like
(22:21):
there are flashing lights, helicopters. They pretty much hire you know,
the Blue Angels to fly over to advertise the FBI raid,
you know, like they do stuff like that because they
want you to know here we are. The fact that
that didn't happen makes me suspect that the reporter who
(22:42):
is standing by his story and said this actually happened,
he got that wrong. Now does that mean that maybe
somebody from the FBI came into the office and said
we'd like to look at his computer. Maybe that happened
and he got confused. Who knows whatever, That's just it.
Speaker 5 (22:57):
How are we termining what constitutes the raid?
Speaker 6 (23:01):
Right? Right?
Speaker 5 (23:01):
I think I think they've played a lot of semantics
games today.
Speaker 6 (23:04):
You're right, But I'll just say this. If it was
a raid, everybody would know about it. You would have helicopters,
you know, news helicopters in Chicago over hallis Hall and
what is it? Lake Forest? Is that? Where that that is? Yeah,
like they may'd be all they'd be all over that
and go and showing the pictures of the cars lined
(23:26):
up down that long driveway that leads up to Hellas Hall.
You know it, okay, peanut.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Someone would be wearing his Bears jersey, so we know
that someone there he is going in okay.
Speaker 6 (23:37):
With with sunglasses and uh and could you imagine that
because you imagine that Peanut showed up in a bear. Seriously,
would that be the greatest thing ever? That'd be like
a scene out of the Blues Brothers, almost.
Speaker 5 (23:48):
Like Jim McMahon when he showed up the White House
to celebrate his Packers Super Bowl.
Speaker 6 (23:55):
That's that's fantastic.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Okay, Now here's where I can solve it. Here's I
can solid ready for this. I solve a problem right here.
The Bears stink there. You look, there's a lot of
good quarterbacks.
Speaker 6 (24:06):
The Bears do the Jets player this year. I'm hoping
for that.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
Here, here's here's my solution. This helps everybody. The Bear
I want a tank right obviously, because there's great quarterbacks
out there. Hey, okay, we traded away the number one
pick Bryce Young so far we're okay with that. But
we can't do it for Williams or Schadur Sanders, whoever
it is. So the Jets trade Zach Wilson and a
(24:30):
fourth round pick to the Bears, and the Bill trade
to the Jets tomorrow Justin who was an upgrade over
Zach Wilson actually, and then he's better and the Bears
can tank. Well, everybody wins a.
Speaker 6 (24:45):
French that that is the classic. And this has been
done before many times. That is the classic. I'll trade
you my bust for your bust because everybody goes, Oh,
they were able to trade that, that's so awesome. Never
mind the fact that they traded him for a guy
who can't play like the Dolphins did that one year
(25:06):
Jimmy Jimmy drafted John Avery instead of Randy Moss. That
was in one of the classic moves of all time
for Jimmy. But Jimmy traded drafted John Avery at nineteen overall.
Moss went with twenty one or he traded out. That
was it. He traded out in nineteen and moved back
and then to John Avery. John Avery ended up playing,
(25:29):
you know, too many video games, by his own admission,
played too many video games and didn't learn the playbook,
and they traded him to Denver for a wide receiver
named Nash. I think it was the first round pick
if I'm remembering correctly, But it.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Was, Yes, Steve Nash got taken. Yes, and the Lakers traded.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
All those ye shut up, shut up, Yeah no, but yeah,
but they traded. Yeah, they traded their first round bus
for a first round bus, which was the trick of
the perception. And the perception is, oh, I got something
for this guy who can't play. Now you just got
somebody else's guy who can't play. And so when you
(26:07):
cut the guy that you picked up in the trade,
nobody ever really remembers that guy that way you saw
saw the problem. So yes, it's a perfect idea of
Wilson for for for fields. And you're saying that the
Jets throw in a fourth round pick just to make
it look good. Is that.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Yeah, we'll throw in a fourth round pick and.
Speaker 6 (26:25):
Just because listen generous of you. Yeah, that's fantastic. And
right now Harmon's sitting there like, yeah, I'll take that anything.
Just give me anything, give me any.

(28:16):
the week in college football coming up in a few minutes,
and something that seems too good to be true to
bring you this, which is something that seems too good
to be true, according to CNBC dot Com and CNBC
Look at CNBC getting a scoop here. According to CNBC,
writers and producers are near an agreement to end the
(28:38):
Writer's Guild of America strike after the sides met face
to face on Wednesday. This according to people close to negotiations.
The two sides met hope to finalize a deal Thursday.
While optimistic, the sources say if the deal is not reached,
the strike could wind up lasting through the end of
the year. This is a breaking story now again. CNBC's
(29:00):
says writers and producers near an agreement to end the
Writers Guild of America strike after they met face to
face on Wednesday. So, but to not give us too
much good news. It's yeah, but if we can't, we
can't finalize tomorrow. It's going through the end of the year.
It's another six weeks a winner. It's September. What do
you mean it's going through the end of the year.
What are you talking about when people start going on vacation.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Shutting it down.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
I'm unavailable from the beginning of October, from the IDEs
of October until after the National Championship game in college football.
Speaker 5 (29:29):
As a guy who once had a deal with the
company is sitting in limbo. And then the people that
were supposed to finish it decided they were all going
on holiday. I can tell you it will happen and
can't happen. But what does this mean for Monday Night football?
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Oh yeah, ABC's got to take it off now they
gonna send you know.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
We can't any the Golden Bachelorette or something quickly into
production or.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
Will No, you'll get because you can say, we don't
need writers for that. Here, this guy is seventy, these
women are roll over sixty. There's a rose ceremony. I mean,
I don't do you need somebody for that?
Speaker 5 (30:01):
I kept wondering though, during all this process, how to
talk the view and all these other folks and all
the nightly entertainment shows were still in production. You're telling me, though,
that isn't written by somebody that's part of the union.
I mean, I'm not saying they had, you know, a
plethora of people on staff that were union folk. But
(30:21):
it seems to me there's there's some questions going on there.
I mean, they were protesting Dancing with the Stars today.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Yeah, yeah, all. I think it's just it's just too
many seasons for that.
Speaker 4 (30:31):
Listen, da have you seen the cast? I'd be protesting,
but this is true.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
I think Alex Pishirt's in the cast of this Dancing
with the Stars.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
I'm actually the favorite to win.
Speaker 6 (30:40):
Jason.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Oh really, oh very well, congratulations on that.
Speaker 3 (30:43):
Thank you. Beers are they're they're quietly hanging out.
Speaker 2 (30:48):
They're well, we're kind of just you know, hanging with
friends right now.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Oh okay, just that you're you're quiet, you're quietly hanging out. Uh.
I'm trying to think of another good just be careful.
Speaker 4 (31:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
I think we get back, we get back to the
top of that's a the Writer's Guild strike Now this
is not the SAG strike, this is Writers Guild and Producer.
So this means a lot of shows will be able
to go back into production right away, and it won't
be very long. It's not gonna be well because look,
there's been a lot of time. This strike has gone
on a while. Now you're talking about two and a
half months of shows being missed. Now, the good news
(31:24):
is that potentially we'll get movies that will start coming
out again. You know, release dates will come and look,
a lot of movies that got pushed already from the
end of this summer early on, it hasn't been a
lot coming out lately. We'll come back on and we'll
get a we'll get a smorgasbord of movies the last
couple of months of the year, which would be great.
The only thing that you would say we will get
(31:44):
into a lull is at some point in the spring,
I would think there's gonna be a two or three
month lull of boy, there's nothing new coming. This is
where they have to continue where things are supposed to go.
But they're finishing those shows. So at some point there's
gonna be a two or three month lull. But now
the rest of this year, potentially you'll get more movies released.
I don't know that you're gonna get any more releases
(32:05):
of television shows and streaming TV shows that that might
be something that is you know, we just have to
wait till next year for but at least it's over
and we're gonna get new content coming up soon. And
there's there's nothing to stop red carpet events or anything
else from happening. And I bet you if they finished
this thing tomorrow, shows to go back into production on Friday,
they'll get back in Friday. We're gonna work this weekend.
(32:27):
We got to get going. We gotta get going. We
got to get back to it.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
Yeah, the curiosity of how quickly you ramp back up.
There were a number of movies and productions that were
closing in saying, hey, we only have a couple more days,
or at Beetlejuice two and all those saying we only
had a few more days of principal work to finish off.
But we do know that a number of vehicles, star
movie turns were pushed out months because of this, So
(32:54):
I mean, how much do they reverse course?
Speaker 4 (32:57):
Can they?
Speaker 5 (32:57):
Because it was such a big deal that. You know,
the release of tickets and the announcement of the Taylor
Swift theatrical release for the Eras Tour movie was such
a big deal because they at least gave them a
little shot in the arm, but also had everybody pointing
fingers at each other saying, this is going to be
the biggest movie of a month because of this. So
(33:20):
you know, perhaps I'll spurring out a little bit of
action and talk as well. So be curious to see
what that timetable looks like. But you know, the funer
we can get Law and Order back up for me
the better.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Mike beatlejuice too, is that the one starring Lauren Bobert.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
Oh even wait for a long time to got that
one in Frostburg, have it?
Speaker 4 (33:42):
Well?
Speaker 5 (33:42):
The thing is from the Adams family. That was the hand, right,
that was the thing. That's that's the joke. Hands we're traveling.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Hey, and congrats to CNBC. I can't believe the last
time I said CNBC breaking this story. But CNBC breaks
this story? How about that? Coming up next? Yes, we'll
get into a number that is too good to be
true for the game of the week in college football,
keep it right here. This is Fox Sports Radio.
