Uh.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Phoenix leads the Lakers again. Phoenix playing without Devin Booker,
without Bradley Beal, and it is a thirteen point lead
for the Suns headed to the fourth quarter in the
Lakers home opener. We'll have more on this game coming
up in a few minutes. But but they were back.
They they were back. They're back. But I need to
say this because this is very important. Before we get

(01:11):
into Thursday night football, Steve Desager, Alex Tye shirt, everybody
working tonight. I will clean the microwave plate from the
microwave in about fifteen minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
What did you do? Well?

Speaker 1 (01:23):
You know, I go and I go to heat up
my drink, right, my coffee bean. Right, I'm like, howis
I have my coffee bean ready? Yeah? So I put
in their fridge right, take it out of heat up
for a minute? Right, I get that good adminute? All right? Great?
I go, Uh, it could use a little bit more.
So I put twenty seconds and I'm like, okay, great.
And then I go and I look in and it
looks like it's like Halloween, like blood is pouring out

(01:43):
of a I'm going no, no, no, no, no, all
that's just put all this pour. The chocolate is pouring
over the side and all over the microwave. And I
was like Howard Stern when he spilled the stuff on
the board in private parts and he's going, ah, I'm
like a microwave. So I will clean the glass plate
of the microwave in a few minutes. I did not

(02:04):
have time since we have to do the show.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Buddy, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
To hear that thought.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Sorry, sorry, it doth boil over. I was now with
dice shirt. You know, I had a few things with
the kids, and I looked at the Uh. I basically
did a Blues Brothers thing. I mapped out where I
needed to go. I'm like, well, I gotta I got
plus or minus two minutes to be able to get
there on time today. No, but we're gonna work from home.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Hi, everybody, that's right, That's right. You know what my
wife says to me, Ah, can you do that tomorrow?
You have enough to sleep by saying if I fell
asleep right now, I could sleep for five and a
half hours. If I fell asleep right now, I could
sleep five and a half hours. So you tell me if.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
I'm always at the under on that and that really
you know, I've given up on that, which is why
I probably would have been standing right next to you
as you made your coffee.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Oh, I would have just spilled all on you, and
you would assumed me because it would have been hot,
caught a little bit, Kramer. It would have hot coffee
on you, and I would have said, how about a lifetime,
I'm supply a coffee. I'll take it. That's all rdy.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Someone just got three million dollars. I just saw that
in the in the headline. Really fast Food joined it
because I had coffee again.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Oh wow, three million dollars hot coffee being spilled up. Yeah.
I'm trying to think if I could do that, if
I could withstand that, how that would be?

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Like? Yeah, but here's the thing, Like, I don't know
how much physical pain you have to get. Yeah, you
gotta be burned, but like we're not talking, you know,
covering your body and and all of that, like a
little you get all the extra for the pain and suffering. Yeah, okay, right,
So now you can't trust this retail establishment or any
like it. So it's now rooined your quality of life

(03:38):
for the rest of your life. And that's why you
get to that giant dollar amount.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
It's punitive damages that you were giving me.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I can never trust a you know, fast food coffee
or you know a burger again. I mean, it's all over.

Speaker 1 (03:54):

the Bills coming up in a few minutes. Because the
Bills survive beating the Bucks twenty four to eighteen. The

(04:17):
Bucks have a chance in the last few minutes, and
this list goes into how the Bills are just disappointing
a game they were dominating. They somehow allow the Bucks
to stand up right. It's almost like a prize fight
where you know it's fixed and the guys just keeping
the guy standing up for a while so they can
all make money. But that's what the Bills did. They
held the Bucks up so much. A last gasp hal

(04:39):
Mary that could have won the game falls incomplete in
the end zone and the Bills escape with a win
over Tampa. Baker Mayfield, who throws a touchdown to Mike
Evans late, did not find Mike Evans at all in
the game previous to that final drive. Throws for two
thirty seven a couple of touchdowns quarterback rating of ninety one.
A very uneven game for Mayfield, who had a tough

(05:00):
time locating. Mike Evans till the very end had a
tough time, uh, finding time in the pocket without getting
happy feet. How many times did you watch them drop
back to pass and you see him just moving and
looking and panicking and not finding a guy and the
Bills would either get a sack or they'd force a
throw that was off target. Baker Mayfield is close to

(05:20):
losing his job in Tampa. And there's a couple of
reasons for this, but of all the guys, you get
to that point in the season where team's saying, hey,
we could still be good, but we need to make
that quarterback change because what we're doing right now, we're
just treading water. The Bucks are three and four in
a really bad division. So clearly, hey, even though we're
three and four, it's still there for us. Because the

(05:42):
Saints aren't great, the Panthers don't have a win. You
know where we're We're We're still there. It's okay, I mean,
we're still a team that can do some damage. Yeah,
maybe Atlanta looks like the best team, but they look
like more than they could be a nine to eight
type team. Nough, of course they Well, somebody's got to
it's the division.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
They did beat the Bucks last week.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Has got to be somebody.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Out of this sixteen to thirteen game. That boy, that's
a Halloween horror nights, goug my eyes out kind of game.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
That was, uh, you know, a heads up on Bejon
Robinson ten minutes before kickoff would have been helpful. But Atlanta.
But that's okay. So the season is still there for them.
But the two biggest things that are going on right
now why Baker Mayfield's gonna lose his job. This is
gonna be the end of him as a starter in
the NFL, because you know, once you get to three
teams and you can't keep your job, that's gonna be it.

(06:28):
Up until this week, watching Mayfield, he has committed the
game manager sin of just not executing when he is
supposed to. Right the Bucks know getting Baker Mayfield, we're
not getting the guy that's going to be the next
Tom Brady. We're not getting someone's gonna throw four or
five touchdowns. We're not getting Patrick Mahomes. We're not getting
a guy who's going to specialize in fourth quarter comebacks.

(06:51):
They know that he is a game manager, and what
you want from Baker Mayfield is a quarterbacks who executes
when he is expected to. Not that we expect you
to make hero plays. This is don't blow the plays
that you're supposed to make, don't overthrow the open receivers right,
don't miss your read and miss an open guy coming

(07:11):
over the middle, and don't turn the football over when
you're making a bad player, you're trying to force it through.
These are all things that Baker Mayfield has done throughout
the season. And last week watching him overthrow Kate Otton
in the fourth quarter, you can't do that when you're
a game manager. You got to hit those plays right,
and the bad I int into double coverage. Well, I

(07:33):
thought after last week, we're going to see a quarterback change,
but they stuck with Baker Mayfield into this week. And
while he didn't make those mistakes tonight, you could still
tell that the Bucks offense is stuck in neutral. So
when you have the combined occurrences through seven games of hey,
he's missing the plays he's supposed to make, the elementary

(07:54):
plays he's supposed to make open receivers, don't force the
ball in, you know, don't make those mistakes. And plus
the offense is kind of stuck in neutral and you're
not going anywhere. Yeah, how long until it's Kyle Trask
or how long until it's Doug Williams or Brad Johnson.
How long until you say, well, we can't do any
worse because the offense is just not doing anything right now.

(08:16):
I mean, maybe it's not saying it's gonna happen next week,
but maybe it's a couple of games. Maybe it's when, hey,
if the defense wins a game and we're four and
four and we're right there and it's hey, man, you know,
we got to see something. We got we gotta try
somebody at some point, and that's when you might see
the quarterback chains. But believe me, that's happening because it's
not like this Buck's offense is getting any better. It's
not getting any more dynamic. The running game is struggling

(08:38):
a lot, but basically the passing, which you're supposed to
be able to find guys like Mike Evans and God
winning and put some numbers up and put some points
on the board, none of those are happening. So really
we're not that far away from it, mainly because the
Bucks still have a chance to win this division.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
Yeah, The worst of it is that you've your defense
while it's it's not piling up any of these Sexy
has been competitive virtually every week of the year, and
just one or two more plays offensively changes a game.
And I refer back to Atlanta obviously, even though Atlanta

(09:13):
had a bunch of opportunities and Ridder couldn't hold on
to it, you had problems even that Detroit game, still
hanging around. In that Detroit game, two touchdown loss. But
tonight another one. Buffalo did everything they could to let
him hang around. After that gave Davis touchdown. You had
three straight possessions was it twenty plays total Jason eighty

(09:37):
yards and only nine minutes off the clock, all resulting
in punts. Some good punts. We saw some great punting.
So applause, you know, for downing the ball inside.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Oh, look at you clapping for the punter, Mike Harp
there you go right there.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Okay, Well, it's like when look when I watch my
daughter's soccer team and it's the hey, just clear the zone.
You're always laughing when it's you know, rolls out out
towards the flag. It's like coffin corner kick and you'll
have one person actually get the reference. It's like, come on,
they gotta drive the length of the field. Now, that's
a lot of passes. Let's go.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Hey, did you just hear that? Though that dad said
something about coffins. I don't think that was right about
the kids. I mean, these are kids playing on the
field right now.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
I did not yellp put.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Him in a body bag.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
I didn't do any of that. But the the idea
for Mayfield tonight, I mean, there was just you mentioned
the happy feed on a couple of plays. You saw
that a lot waiting for things to develop, waiting for
separation Evans. You saw him get frustrated a couple of
times where he was wide open. You saw a couple
of times nice throws where he got betrayed. You know,

(10:45):
you look at the the backup tight end hit him
square in the chest. Now, it was part of that
crazy ass near eight minute drive with the two fourth
down penalties on Buffalo that extended it. But it was
the heumanic great throw that hit Durham square in the
hands and through the chest that would have set them

(11:07):
up with the first down. I think it like the
seventeen yard line or something, and the all the guy
could do was pat the ball as it hit the
ground and you're yelling stupid, stupid, stupid, you know or
whatever his reaction was there. I couldn't read his lips.
But for Baker Mayfield, you know, that's the margin of
error in these games, right, You're only getting so many
open receivers to make a big play. And even the

(11:31):
second Evans touchdown hit the defender in the helmet. Yeah yeah,
and you know if he lays that out a little more, yeah,
Evans is open. He'd created the separation, but uh, to
have to play the ricochet pretty impressive. And then on
the two point conversion off a defender's helmet into Aughton's hands.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
So well, that don't make it seem like it was
the same play. This was off of a defender straight
up in the air. Well, anybody could have got it,
and it just so happened that k And caught it.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
No, that's it. I mean, like defender, I'll same one
who got called for the uh patalty Edwards on the
line there, guy, I think for a face mask on
what would have been a turnover on downs as he
sacked Mayfield. But I think what you're seeing right now
is just the giant questions. Do you trust Kyle Trask
at all? You gotta see something when you have seen

(12:22):
him already.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
I don't know. Maybe with with a guy like Kyle TRASCTS,
you knew he needed time, you knew you want and
you didn't want to put him in and give him
the ball the year, right, it has, But sometimes some
guys need a little bit more time. Because Kyle Trast
certainly came into the league being a little bit raw.
But now at this point where it's okay, we signed
Baker Mayfield. Where if you're at the point and I
think the Bucks are there, where it's are we really

(12:44):
going to be that much worse with Kyle Trask or
maybe we could get a little bit better if the
Bucks were if the Bucks were two and five, if
they were one and six, I get it. Look keep
going and get ready going to get a quarterback in
the draft. But you could still win the division because
the defense is not bad. It's a bad division. But
at this point, can you can you really sit here
and say there's no doubt in my mind, Baker Mayfield's

(13:06):
the only guy that gives us a chance to win.
Or if a Kyle trast with two years in the system,
knowing everything a little bit better. Maybe he comes in
and plays and we get a little bit of a spark.
I mean that that's why I can see it happening,
and see it happening in the next couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
No, and you got the schedule is there. You've got
what Houston coming up next? And then it was another
winnable game. I had glanced at it real quickly. And
then you got Tennessee who may have sold off whatever
they have. That's a home game. And then you get
San Francisco, the fun and excitement of Gardner Minshew, then
Carolina before you're at week fourteen at Atlanta. I mean,

(13:42):
you've got a couple of games that are potential wins
there to keep you in on pace, you know, with
such juggernauts as Derek Carr in Division. I say that,
you know, as I kind of chuckle to myself, see
who yells at this week?

They lead the Lakers eighty seven eighty two with eight
minutes to go in the fourth quarter. At the very least,
Lebron and ad look pissed that this is the game,

(14:38):
Like they're not up by twenty at this point because
they should be with the Suns playing without Devin Booker
and Bradley Beal. But this is the Lakers.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
The Lakers are back.

have more in the Lakers and the Suns. As many
people very nervous and la right now. They can lose
this game, but the Bills win this game, and in
a couple of minutes we'll get to why. I'll tell
you this is the last vestige of the Bills. I

(15:57):
think this is oh the bills, you're gonna keep righting. No,
this is the last vestige of them. Is contending you.
It's a good word, right, I like to use it.
I like to use a fine holar word now and again.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
It's pretty good. It's not quite vestiments no, no, no, no,
or vestibule venom vessel vermin.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
TJ not using uh the vivisection good.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
You gotta end on that all right, well we'll end
on well clearly TJ some will end on vivisection. Uh.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
But there's a controversy we need to clear up here
because early in tonight's game it was thrown out there
that the Bills and Josh Allen ran a Taylor Swift audible.
Well you know which. Listen, we really started getting into
how fun the audibles were when Peyton Manning would kept
saying oh Maha, o Maha, oh ma Elway Romo, And

(16:50):
we found out the real reasons behind Elway and Romo
was Romo was the play was going to go to
the right, and Elway was a play to the left. Uh.
But now we're getting Taylor Swift. Okay, Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift. However,
it might not have been Taylor Swift. Josh Allen says
it was not Taylor Swift, but it was somebody else
that he was saying for the name of the audible.

(17:11):
We have the audio here from tonight. You can listen
to it right now a couple of times, and uh,
you can judge as to what name Josh Allen is saying.
Shucking you man, sick in your man, sick in you man,
you man Okay, so that is pretty clearly j R. Smith,

(17:35):
not Taylor Swift, j R. Smith.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
Now you just see him assumed he'd say someone of relevance.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Yeah, well, maybe what happened is somebody on the team
didn't know the score, so he gave the j R.
Smith audible. Okay, okay, got I got a guy now
on the score. All right, that's fantastic. I got it.
I got a j R. Smith.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Do you mean that we're gonna run past you so
fast and your shirt's gonna come off.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Maybe one of the guys on the team is friends
with j R. Smith, and so they decided to make
an audible for j R. Smith.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
He played golf with them at some point.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Let's see, Hey, what what could j R. Smith stand for? Okay,
putting up a lot of bricks, missing a lot of shots, backboard,
glass off the rim, maybe not knowing the score.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
I don't know what j R. Smith could have been,
but it's probably one of those things.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
It's fair point.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Oh maybe it's hey j R. Smith meaning you're gonna
have to reach for this. Because the famous meme is
Lebron with his arms out going you see what the
score is? Maybe that's what he wants for j R. Smith.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
I don't know. You know, that's a good point that
could have been j R.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Smith right there.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
I need I need no alligator arms on this play.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
You gotta go. I'm gonna lead you and you got
I'm gonna need you to lay out here. It's gonna
be near the sidelines. You gotta go out go get it, Okay,
j R. Don't alligator arman. I don't know what could
j R. Smith possibly mean?

Speaker 3 (19:00):
See that we got alligator arms into the show, you know.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
And that's and and that's the thing I think I
would do really well out as well is naming audibles
with funny names, Like if there was a job for
that on a NFL team, I do that. Hey, what's
this audible doing. I'll come up with a name for it? What what? What?
What's the name gonna be? Just give me a man,
I'll come up with something funny. Don't worry about Okay, great, Hey,
we're banking on Jason Smith. We he's come up with
a funny name for this audible so we can run
it and people could talk about it. I'd be good

(19:24):
at that.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
That's good, Yeah, going That's another job again. You become
more and more like a stance every day. I think
I could do that job. The guy that comes up
with the funny names for the Audibles in the place.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Hey, really, so Zach Wilson stinks is the name of
the Audible? Yes, just as Zach Wilson stinks. Zach Wilson State.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Wilson controversy of the day.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Uh oh, because Zach Wilson was away from the team
on vacation with his family during the bye week, and.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
You went and got himself some apple picking in.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
H You know, I know they want to compare this
to Tony Romo going to Cobbo with a bunch of teammates.
It's a different thing. Look, guys are away for three days.
Look if Zach, I'll say this, If the Jets play
well Sunday and they beat the Giants, no one's gonna care.
If the Jets lose, it's gonna be a big deal.
Whether it is or not, it's gonna be presented as

(20:17):
a big deal. If the Jets play poorly and Zack
Wilson plays poorly and they lose, and if they win,
no one's gonna care whether or not this had anything
to do with the fact that Zack Wilson was away
from the team during the by. Everybody gets takes off
during the book.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
What kind of apples, dude, Yeah, bire a strudle. I mean,
are you a Granny Smith guy? Yeah, this is where
you're trying to do some baking or do you like,
you know, just having an apple, you know for the
fiber source. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
This is not nearly the same thing as going on
vacation during the playoffs, right, this is there's a buye
and you know what, there is something to be said
for getting away and clearing your head for a few days.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
Everybody needs a little time away.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Everybody. You got you singing? Man, my man, you sing it.
Uh No, that's a very normal thing. Yes, we want
to think that NFL players and Zach Wilson's gonna say, Okay,
I'm gonna use the bye to be in the building
from sun up till sundown and learning all everything I
need to know, and the coaches are gonna give me
plays and new things everything else. But sometimes, you know,
getting away from something is okay. And I gotta say,

(21:20):
Zach Wilson has played better and had a big ramp
up in how well he has played from the Patriots game. Now,
does this mean he's jumped up and become a great player. No,
he's become barely acceptable. But before that he was absolutely awful.
So from absolutely awful to barely acceptable, that's a pretty
good jump. And you know what, if you need a
couple of days off, you need four days off, and

(21:41):
you go back to your faith, it's okay to go
back to your family during the by it's not that
big a deal man. But anything, anything Zach Wilson does
is gonna be polarizing. But no, I don't care, and
I'm not gonna look back at this and say, oh,
we lost of the Giants because Zach Wilson went apple picking.
That's ridiculous. It's not. But it's gonna be a story
if the Jets win, it's not a story. If the
Jets lose is a story because that's how it goes

(22:01):
in the media.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Okay, fair, Yeah, And if he plays well, then again
people will jump on board and support it. But wherever
right now, everybody's just looking for a reason to hate
Zach Wilson.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Oh, of course, of course hers.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Right, and especially with the Battle for New Jersey because
they don't play in New York.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
It's a battle for the tri state area, thank you
very much. Is New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
And Buffalo already won, So you're just trying to keep pace.
But the fact of the matter is you got a
guy that is under siege and not in a cool
Steven Segalway.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Oh, just a lowly cook, Just a lowly cook. Now,
speaking of cook, the Bills offense tonight did not look great.
It looked okay for three quarters or you know, two
and a half quarters, and then the game was twenty
four to ten seemingly for an hour and a half. Yeah,
and the Bills let the Bucks back into the game

(22:53):
before they held them off on a hail Mary that
I've never seen a hail mary not touch anybody and
just hit the ground on the play of the game.
But look, I know a lot of people are going
to be back on the Bills bandwagon after it tonight.
I look, they're five and three. Josh Allen threw for
a couple of touchdowns, he ran for a touchdown. You're
getting Dalton Kincaid involved in the offense now, first round pick.
He supposed to be the next Travis Kelcey. The last

(23:15):
two weeks have been pretty good for Dalton Kinkaid, but overall,
the Bills are just they're not the same team. And
just because they roll over from last year to this
year and it's still Josh Allen, it's still Stefan Diggs,
this is not the same Bills team. Defensively, They're not
as good offensively, They're not as in sync as they

(23:35):
were even two years ago. Just because they always have
Josh Allen doesn't mean they're always going to be good.
This is not the same Bills team. I'm not buying
the Bills as a serious contender because they are too
inconsistent now. Normally this year, they've been inconsistent from game
to game. Tonight they were inconsistent within the game, right

(23:55):
some wings you see him? Look, Hey, they put forty
on the Dolphins. They beat the crap out of them.
Then it's how you get worked by the Patriots like that?
How do you lose to the Jets without Aaron Rodgers?
But then and you go back and forth. But tonight
it was, Hey, the Bills looked really good for two
and a half quarters and then they just stopped and
the Bucks because they kept getting the ball back, kept
getting the ball back. Eventually, Hey, we're gonna put points

(24:17):
on the board. And that's how it goes in the NFL.
And you keep giving the ball back to your opposition,
they're gonna find a way down the field. And the
last quarter and a half it was were the Bills board?
Were they just not goods? The Bucks were out of
this game, and they let them back in and came
within a really difficult Hail Mary of potentially losing this game.
The Bills is halfway through the season, and the Bills

(24:38):
are not a finished product. I understand this, but they're
also not the same as they were and I can't
buy them as contenders in the AFC. There's four teams
right now, all the division leaders of the divisions I
like better than the Bills right now, and there may
be some teams under them that I like more as
a season goes on. Because if the Bills are going
this is who they are, and we know they're not

(24:58):
as good defensively offensively, is there a big move for
them to make? You know, I don't know that there's
some place for the Bills to go that's gonna suddenly
say yes, now we're going over the top. Right, James
Cook is averaging about five yards of carry, but he
only carries the ball ten times a game because you
got to have Josh Allen carry the football and throw
the football right. Stefan Diggs catches between six and ten

(25:20):
passes a game, between seventy and one hundred yards and
a touchdown or two. Okay, so he's doing his job.
Gabe Davis is what you're expecting to be a number
two receiver. Now here comes Dalton Kincaid and you're still
having problems. All right. We told you in the summer,
this is not the same Bills team. Just because you
see the same couple of guys at the top. You
have this image of them as this big team and

(25:42):
they win the AFC East the last couple of years
and they get into the playoffs. This is not the
same team that you're used to. So people can buy
the Buffalo Bills. I'm not buying the Bills.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Yeah, I think you got a crowd at AFC. I
mean that we certainly agreed to even before the season began,
right there, a lot of would be content. Whereas we
looked at the NFC and you got to whittle down
to a couple that stood up right the old white
board like we had in the old studios, like we
do in joke. For the NBA, it's like, all right,
we got these three teams, we got to add more.

(26:14):
Just because we have to add more, there's gonna be
opponents in the conference finals. In the NFC, it just
seemed like the forty nine Ers and Eagles were the
class of the conference. And then we see what rises
and what injuries create opportunity. AFC right picked the Jaguars
before the season. A lot of folks on board the Bengals,

(26:39):
and they're starting to find their way. Coming out of
a bye week, We'll see where they're headed, how much
healthier they are, and just go on down the line.
You've got multiple contenders. It feel good about Baltimore. Suddenly
everybody's jumping on the bandwagon. A lot of action on
Lamar Jackson for the MVP and so on and so forth.
With the Bills you're living in. I am by Josh

(27:01):
Allen's heroics. Man, I'm a little confused. When you're on
fourth and one and you're calling plays out of the shotgun.
Riddle me that, batman. I mean, I know you want
to get your quarterback a good look at the field
at all. But he is also what six ' four,
so you can't get the lean behind your old line.
Maybe that's problem, James Cook. You don't trust him, Maybe

(27:22):
you go trade for a running back wide receiver. Gabe
Davis two damn inconsistent. Trust me as a guy who
left him on a bench today because he's been so
sorry about that, buddy, Well no, but I've been his
biggest champion, I think outside of the city of Buffalo
for these last couple of years, about the player he
could be, and that you expected him to be weak

(27:44):
to week and it just hasn't been there. And then
tonight find the matchup, find the opportunity. Concaid with a
couple of big catches. Obviously Allen on the run finds
him for the big touchdown reception, Davis scraping across the
back of the zone for the other. I mean there's
moments that you're like, all right, this is Cooking. And
then after the Davis touchdown, you had three straight possessions

(28:07):
that were nondescript, anemic play calling, like you're moving the ball,
you're pushing the ball downfield, you're creating space and opportunities
by design rollouts with Alan, and then you go away
and you bring in Latavious Marie Jason. The guy carried
the ball five times, he didn't fall forward. Five carries

(28:30):
seven yards on that, I know with.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
A long of five, buddy, I know, I know, I know.

Speaker 3 (28:35):
It's like, come on, get out of your own way
up there in the play calling booth, because you do
have some guys that can make play. Defensively, you're gonna
make staunch your opposition and the injuries. You know, unless
you get into the marketplace. You're not covering up for
losing Milano and White, but you're gonna need to find
a way. You're gonna need to find a way to
get home. You got some good pressure on Mayfield. He

(28:58):
still was able to eluse a lot of that to
make some plays downfield. So yeah, Alan either throws them
into contention or out of it. That's where that that's
the scary reality of this, of the the heights of
Josh Allen and riding that uh, those highs and lows.
I mean, if you're a gambler or a Bills fan,

(29:19):
I mean, you're gonna feel like you're falling through the table.
A few times this season.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Well, look, and that's I like you did, I like
you did there falling through the table. But that's the
thing with Alan and and really Jalen Hurts, I'm seeing
a lot of the same things. Is that, Okay, I
really want to test and see what I can do.
Not quite a heat check, but I think I can
do more than I really can. And Josh Allen forces
the ball in and he should know better because he's
been in the league a lot longer, but he feels
a responsibility I think, and gets and and and gets

(29:46):
you know, kind of laden down with the responsibility of
the offense. Whereas Jalen Hurts, I think is it's trying
to figure out what he can do as a quarterback
because he's still learning what kind of throws he can make.
But that's this, That's the big thing that both these
guys have in common. Its I can see these seasons
coming to a screeching halt in a first playoff game
or a week seventeen game where it's oh, hey, one

(30:07):
touchdown and three picks, that did it. I mean you're done.
I mean you're going on. The Eagles are likely going
to win the East, so it's probably in the players then,
but I could see it coming in for the Bills
that way. Week sixteen, Week seventeen, because Allen makes those
bad mistakes because he's just too conditioned to say, I'm
gonna try to do everything when it's dude, when you're
crossed up. Let some guys make plays. You know, they
at least they tried to throw shorts and I try

(30:28):
to get the ball to Stefon Diggs, you know, behind
the line of scrimmage, just ahead of the line of scrimmage.
That tried to get him to make some plays in
space and not have to worry about him throwing down
the field all the time. But yeah, your point on
on Josh Allen's right on, man, the guy turns the
ball over a lot.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Just a very important point. Tell Allen.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Right now, we're gonna tell Steve to Sager. The Sager's
gonna tell us what's trending. As things are getting tight
in the crypt, Steve o Suns have fallen apart.

Speaker 4 (30:57):
In the fourth quarter in LA Lakers are leading with
under a minute to goo ninety five ninety one. Phoenix
for the first ten minutes of this period got outscored
seventeen to three. Sons had ten turnovers in the quarter.
Now on the court, good I can see.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Is that not good? It's not good. Go out on
a limb, not good? Not good.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
Okay, Kevin Durant, you mentioned he doesn't have much around
him tonight, and yes, Devin Booker is out this evening.
Kevin Durant is a plus nineteen on the court and
they are losing. He has thirty seven points and eight turnovers.
Lakers from three point range are five for twenty nine
and still leading the game. In fact, under thirty seconds
to go, Lakers have the lead and the ball ninety

(31:39):
five ninety one LA. The only other game in the
NBA tonight was at Milwaukee and the Bucks beat Philadelphia
one eighteen one seventeen. Damian Lillard, now at the Bucks,
had thirty nine points, no turnovers. Jannis atene Koumpo in
the win twenty three points, thirteen rebounds, seven turnovers, and
the NHL Anaheim won in overtime at Ball in a

(32:00):
team that was six and zero. Ducks got two goals
in the last two minutes of regulation. The two late
games are done. Blues won three to nothing at Calgary,
Rangers won three nothing at Edmonton College football Virginia Tech
over Syracuse thirty eight to ten. Now to that Bill's
win at Buffalo twenty four to eighteen. Bills defeated Tampa
Bay in the NFL game tonight. Josh Allen three total touchdowns,

(32:21):
one interception. There were twenty penalties combined in this one.
Baker Mayfield was questionable for this game with a sornee.
He did play wound up with two touchdown passes, but
for much of the game the offense didn't move. They
made it close at the end, but still Tampa Bay
three and four overall. Buffalo is up to five and
three this season. Running Back Rashad White of the Bucks

(32:44):
did have seven receptions for seventy yards. Wide receiver of
the Dolphins, Tyreek Hill, who had a hip injury, says
he'll play this weekend. He returned to limited practice. Miami
hosts New England. Dolphins. Running back Raheem Moster was limited
in practice, as was wide receiver Jalen wat Carolina running
back Miles Sanders practice fully despite the bad shoulder. The

(33:04):
O and six Panthers will host Houston Texans. Wide receiver
Robert Woods misspractice with a foot injury. Jacksonville wide out
Zay Jones did not practice due to a knee injury.
Jacksonville's at Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver at Deontay Johnson did
not practice due to a hamstring injury. Pittsburgh defensive tackle
Cam Hayward was designated to return from ir Las Vegas

(33:26):
plays Monday night at Detroit, and Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo
returned to practice after a back injury. Raiders kicker Daniel
Carlson did not practice due to a groin injury, and
Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker mispracticed today due to illness. The
World Series starts Tomorrow night on Fox TV eight pm
Eastern Time. Texas hosts Arizona Road teams have a very

(33:47):
good record so far this postseason twenty two and fourteen.
That's an over six hundred winning percentage, second highest entering
a World Series since the playoffs expanded years ago in
the Wildcard era. Game two of this series will be
Saturday night on Fox right after college football update from
La Lakers with two seconds left lead Phoenix ninety eight

ninety five. Back to you thanks a bunch of CEVO.

friend Mike Harmon live from Thetirack dot Com Studios. Lakers
hold off the Suns, Lakers are back. We have two
big NBA stories coming up in about ten minutes. We'll
talk about the Lakers win over the Suns tonight, plus

(35:27):
the craziness that surrounded James Harden and the Sixers game
tonight against the new look Bucks and Damian Lillard. But
tomorrow night, Game one of the World Series. Who's gonna
be sipping champagne coming up in a week. Mike and
I are on opposite sides of this. Yeah, why don't

(35:48):
you tell me who you think is gonna win and
I'll tell you why you're wrong.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
Go ahead, Oh well, thanks, buddy. I'm gonna take the
Texas Rangers. I'm gonna say they starting pitching to start
the series. Series. You can hold hold, stand pat and
take care of business. Look when when we look at
this Ranger squad, ninety wins Boche obviously having great success
on the road. Looking for more of that magic as

(36:14):
it flows. But I'm also looking for you know, Montgomery
to come up big, Evaldi to come up big Bullpen
has had his moments. The one thing I worry is
that generating runs maybe a little over alliance on the
big fly when it comes to Garcia. But I'm gonna
put the chips towards the center, and that Corey Seeger

(36:37):
is gonna be the name we're talking about when this ends.
Just did here in Los Angeles for several years.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
You are putting a dagger in the hearts of Dodger fans.
Corey Seeger, your World Series MVP. The Diamondbacks are gonna
win the World Series. Tell me why there is a
ain't nothing but a snake win. Tell me about First
of all, I'll go out.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
And snake bite right there. I mean, it was same syllables.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
Who was supposed to win the first round of the playoffs,
not the Diamondbacks who won? Diamondbacks. Who's supposed to win
the second round? Not the Diamondbacks who won? Diamondbacks. Who's
supposed to win the NLCS? Not the Diamondbacks. I ever
talked about who won the Diamondbacks going into the World Series.
We talked about this last night. You know me, I'm

(37:24):
a big good pitching, beats good hitting guy, especially at
this point in the playoffs. And while look at what
Evaldi is doing, suddenly become this great clutch postseason pitcher.
It's insane. However, I like the teams that are peaking
at the right time, and the Diamondbacks pitching is what
I like the most, and Gallon and Kelly. Look, Kelly

(37:47):
was so chap ass coming out of that game.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
Five minutes.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
You're taking me out. I just struck out the side
even fought. Is pitching fantastic. This is the guy that
e er Rabe during the season was five and a
half and now suddenly he's someone that's shutting everybody down.
You're talking about these guys pitching five of the seven games,
especially gonna get Gallon in Game one, likely Kelly in
Game two. I like the Diamondbacks pitching. I like it

(38:12):
way more than the Rangers pitching. They're gonna wind up
doing enough because look, you look at this lineup, Diamondbacks lineup,
it's not great. There's a lot of pressure at the
top of the lineup to come through. They're gonna come through,
and Ketle Marte is gonna be your World Series MVP.
Corbyn Carrol's gonna get a lot of run and he
should a rookie. Look at what he's doing. Three hits

(38:33):
in Game seven, two RBI, he scored a run. He's incredible.
But the Rangers are gonna stay away from him, and
as a result, Marte is gonna be on base a lot.
He's gonna hit for high average. He's gonna score a
ton of runs. That's why I got him as the
World Series MVP.

Speaker 3 (38:46):
How about this. You've got a Taco Fractor card that
was put into tops this year. Like literally, it's floating
tacos behind the players. They're numbered to five. Nice ru Yes,
is Adam Gase one of them with floating toos. You
get the stolen base, you get tacos.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Okay, alright, there's first.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Stolen base in the World Series. Get you tacos for life. Okay,
there you go. So people are now paying exorbitant amounts
for the Corbyn Carroll given his stolen based proficiency during
the regular season.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Yeah but I mean but at this one, people don't
care who steals the bank, just.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
As long as we get no no, no, no, But you
have to have the card of the player.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Oh you have to have the base.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
So it's numbered out of five card.

Speaker 3 (39:32):
They'll have the promotion for every schlub while you buy
your ten pack, Hey, get one, no, no, no, this
is a card that will entitled you to tacos.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Oh, I don't know. You had to have the car yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:44):
Yeah, So the Corbyn Carrol will be numbered to five
the Martine whatever. So a little promotion, a little bit
of intrigue, and certainly the something the card industry. Even
though the cards are odd looking, it's a pretty good
prize on the back end if you can pull it off.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Exit out by to Fresca, Exit swollen down. Mike and
I on opposite sides of the World Series. There's our
pick beginning tomorrow night. We'll coming up next again. Two
big stories in the NBA, the Lakers survived the Suns
and did Kevin Durant make a business decision at the
end of this game? Plus what happened with James Harden.
You got to hear it to believe it. Fox
