Let's give this partties.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Greetings, then welcome inside our two of The Jason Smith

you get there and unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free

(00:50):
than three minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Tampa
Bay is driving. However, they trail the Bills twenty four
to ten, facing a third and ten right now in
field goal arrangement. Of course, with three minutes left to go,
down two scores is going to be four down territory
for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Will have more on this
game coming up in a few minutes and a full
(01:10):
breakdown of it coming up in about fifteen, because the
game will be over by then the Bills will have won.
Unless we're talking about an unbelievable Bucks comeback, which Mike Harmon,
I don't think that's gonna happen. Which Mike Harmon, I
don't think that's gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (01:29):
Seven minute drive saved and extended by a face mass
penalty on a fourth down that would have well in theory,
ended it, but it added more drama. Why because the
spread's ten.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Al Michaels he needs something to keep al Michael's going here.
I mean maybe, you know, at some point I got
to think that they're they're just screwing with the games
enough to keep al Michaels interested. I mean that maybe
that's what's going to listen because if that Michael to
the official Yeah, because listen, if al doesn't sound excited
doing the game, people are gonna turn off. Because if
you're play by play guy is not excited, why should
(02:04):
you be excited? So in order to keep al Michaels excited,
they change things around a bit just to keep stuff
like the point spread in the over under in doubt
as far as they can until the end of the game,
because hey, als invested. It sounds great, so people will
stay and watch the game.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Boom.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
That's the way to do it. Now, forget about making
the teams play even on the field. No, keep the
play by play guy involved with gambling things and everybody's
gonna stay watching.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
And there you go.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
You just added another level of conspiracy theory. There you go,
when people already have nine.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Thousand of them.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
Every play is you're against me, you're against my squad
by that announcer hates my team.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
He didn't get excited.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
About our home run at all, then, you guys, but
he got excited about the opponents.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
You gotta say, listen, listen, it's not that he hates
your team. It's just that your team is not helping
him with whatever is going on off the field. Certain
thick lipped gambling elements of that. It certainly you can't,
you know, you can't. You can't look at something and
not think that, well, this is how we want to
keep it going. This is how we want to make
sure everybody keeps watching.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
No, well, look, it doesn't have to be good.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
It just.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
And right now it is close. Mike Evans, remember him,
He actually has a couple of targets tonight. He just
catches a touchdown pass from Baker Mayfield. This makes it
a twenty and it actually bounces off the Bills defender's helmet.
Uh just kind of like slides off at Renford. It
just hits off his helmet, changes direction a little bit,
doesn't matter because Mike Evans is great. It makes the catch,
(03:37):
falling backwards into the end zone, extra point pending. It
is now a one score game with just under three
minutes left to go, and it looks like the Bucks
are gonna go for two and Mike Evans is not
on the field. So again, let me tell you the
Bucks are gonna go for two and Mike Evans is
not on the field.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
A couple of penalties on fourth down plays against the
Buffalo d to extend the drive. They just showed Evans
walking along the sideline, one of those where you flip
your helmet kind of up and you're walking looking exasperated.
So hope he's okay, you know, a little battle with
Bedford and comes down with the touchdown. But yeah, game now.
(04:19):
Excitement in the final minutes.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
And it is now a six point game. Because if
you think the deflection off the helmet was fun, way
do you see the two point conversion where Baker Mayfield
has nowhere to go with the football. You can see
he's got happy feet. He tries to throw it over
the middle to Kate Otton, who there's about four guys
between him and the football. However, the ball bounces off
(04:40):
of Bill's linebackers armed. I couldn't see who it was,
trying to get his arm to deflect it, and in
doing so, he tips it up in the air over
everybody's heads right to Kate Otten, who makes the grab.
So it's now a six point game. The Bucks have
all their timeouts and they're kicking it off again to
the Buffalo Bill. So suddenly Alt Michael's like, oh my god,
(05:02):
I've got to wake up and gets splendor a little
with water. This is now an exciting game. It's six
point game now Here at the end.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
That was Phillips again highlighted for the second time on
this series. And this uh this drive by the Buccaneers,
as he was the one that was called for the
face mask on fourth down. Yeah, that helped extend the drive.
And now we've got a six point game. There you go,
Chaos Zu's on Thursday night. It's like watching Pac twelve
after dark or Syracuse football.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Hey hey, hey, too soon, too soon?
Speaker 4 (05:34):
We covered was like I drove past you and I
opened my door to hit you.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Listen. You know my best friend actually did that to
me once. I've never forgiven him for that.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Oh well, that's good.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Well he was he shouldn't. He knew he should. Anyway,
if you like you were either of you drunk, I wasn't.
And he was just trying to move his car, like
from from where then I'd like, dude, and and like anyway,

the story real fest. I'll tell the story real fast.
So we were at a party. It was a house party,
and you know, we're all hanging out and we were
drinking and everything else and somebody was coming back to
the party and my friend was parked in the driveway,
(06:27):
and you know, I had just gotten there, so I
was what, you know, I was. I was, you know,
I hadn't had anything to drink yet, and I'm just
getting there saying no, no, no, no. But I had actually
just got and someone said to me, hey, you know,
where's Jeff And I said, oh, I don't know why.
You know, he's my best friend and he's here some ways.
Have you seen him? Because his car is blocking the
(06:47):
driveway and somebody was supposed to park there, like somebody
who lives there right and couldn't park. So he goes, oh,
he parked parking by. I said, okay, let me see
if I can find him. And somebody actually had told
him that he needed to move his car, so he
goes to he figures he figures I can go and
get in and move my car. So he goes to
get in the dry and I catch him as he's
getting into his car and he's starting the car, and
(07:07):
I'm like, whoa dude, you I think you had a clip.
So I go to the side of the car and
I open up the passenger door and I lean in
and I go, dude, what are you doing? And he goes, ah,
they told me I had to move my car. I go, dude,
let me move your car. I'm here.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Let me.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
I just got here. Let me move you craigs. No, no, no,
I got it. I got it. And he hits the
gas and goes back, and of course, because the door
is open on my side, it hits me and knocks
me down and I do it somersault and then he stops.
He goes, oh my god, I just hit you. I said,
I'm sewing your ass off, and luckily I was okay.
But that's the story. That's what happened. Then he stopped
and I moved his car forward. So that's how it went.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
That's a lot of stuff, right.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
I was so mad. I'm like, dude, I wanted to
That's where I wish like I was a superhero where
he could hit me with the car and I would
just break the door of the car off, like that's
what I wanted to do at that point. It was
so anyway, that's that.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
Story, all right, Take a deep breath. The Bills could
do anything on offense.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Meanwhile, tonight's big story in the NBA. I've come to
a chain and Frostburg's gonna be mad. He's not here
tonight to hear this. So we watched the Sixers lose
tonight by a point to the Bucks, and it was
a big night for Damian Lillard nearly had forty points.
It was exactly what the Bucks envisioned by getting Damian Lillard.
(08:18):
This is the night they had a night where Giannis
can go twenty three and thirteen and not have to
carry the team every single game. Now embiid. We talked
about the deal with James Harden, who did not travel
with the team to the game tonight, even though he
planned to, but when he got to the airport, Sixer
security told him, you can't go. They want you to
stay back and rehab. And this has been the latest
(08:38):
and the salvo of Harden's with the team. He's not
with the team. He's on the team. He's not on
the team. He's playing, he's not playing, he's traveling with
the team. He's not traveling with the team. This is
just ridiculous. But after watching the Knicks last night, and
I know it's one game and I'm itching for the
next game, but I get it. But after watching the
Knicks and watching Julius Randall with that crazy ass, How
are we ever gonna really get good? When Julius Randold
(09:00):
demands the ball and he takes too many shots? I
am amending. I am amending my trade offer to the
Sixers for Joel Embiid because now I really got to
make it happen. Now it's like I'm I'm amending my
trade because you remember my offer last night, and my offer,
my standing offer, has been you give us Joel Embiid,
and I'll give you any three players you want off
(09:22):
the Knicks roster, except not Jalen Brunson. And Julius Randall
has to be one of the three guys, right, that
was the trade. But any other any three you want,
but one one's got to be Randall and it can't
be Jalen Brunson. So anybody else, Emanuel Quickly, are j Barrett,
Mitchell Robinson? We have we have a pretty good deep roster, right,
all of that, But now I want to make it happen. Right,
(09:43):
So now I'm like one of those itchy let's make
this happen. I will even do this. I will, I
will do this, and I can't believe I'll do this
same deal, Joel Embiid, any three guys off the roster
except can't be Jalen Brunson, God to be. Julius Randall
is one of them. And I'll also take James Harden
(10:07):
if that's what it takes to get Joel Embiid, I'll
take James Harden. You still get the guys. You get
out from under and it looks like you make a
great deal. You'll start over with whoever you want to
start over with. I'll take James Harden.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
You know what, we're back to the deal you were
proposing a couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
I'll take James Harden. I don't want to No, I
never wanted James.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Stop.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
You're just making stuff up now for the radio. I
never said I wanted James Harden.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
How dare you?
Speaker 5 (10:36):
I don't want James growing out arguments thirty seconds.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
You find hey, listen, mad dog. You find where I said, Hey,
I'll take James Hardener. I'll retire.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
You find where I didn't have you retiring.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
You find where I said I James.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
It might have been a throwaway line, but no, eily
certain at some point even you were like, even if
I have to bring you dude.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
No, I know.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
You could ask Ty, who pays zero attention to the
show and just updates his Spotify account.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
He knows.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
I never said James Harden.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
No, we're not.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
We're just practicing. No, we're just practicing. It's okay, what
were you saying that? Yeah that I never said I'd
take James Harden. No, you never said that, Yeah, exactly.
There you go. Okay, see, there you go. This is
a good rehearsal for when we actually go on the
airy good.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Yeah, okay, that's good. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (11:18):
So look, the inclusion of Harden, it's fine. It's you
still have to make the money work. That's the part
of it. I can't wait to see what kind of
sham of an investigation the NBA does in this, saying, well,
he wasn't available for an actually televised game, and you
kept him home when he wasn't hurt. Why did you
(11:41):
not see that he hasn't been with the tape for
two weeks?
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, because this is this is where the NBA wants
to plant their flag. Why isn't James Harden playing in
an actually televised game. I get you want to get
out on it early. And because the NBA was In
case you missed that story. Today, they're going to talk
to the Sixers about why Harden was not available for
nationally televise game because they want the Stars to keep playing.
I know you want to jump on it early so
it doesn't become an issue because you feel like if
(12:05):
you do it early, teams will fall in line. But
real James Harden, that's where that's where you want to say, Hey,
we want to find out what's going on with James Harden.
Darren Moory's probably saying, dude, you think I didn't want
the guy to play? You think I was sitting there?
Come on, man, you see what I'm dealing with here?
Now I got you knocking on my door. I do
not need this. This is like an NYPD blue and
(12:25):
they're trying to figure something out and internal affairs shows up,
going hey, we think you're doing the wrong stuff. I
do not need IA on this. I do not need
internal affairs getting into my business. You will go the
other way and I'll figure this out.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
Right.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
That's that's exactly what this is. I do not need
you jumping in when I'm trying to figure out James Harden.
Don't sit here tell me it's my fault. I don't
have James Harden on the roster for a nationally televised game.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
Come on, Wow, this is where you also throw in
a hey, we sell sent a letter to the Phoenix
Suns relative to Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. Not that
you you necessarily think they're Shenanigan's there, but hey, Ashley,
televised game you didn't play.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
We're watching, We're.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
Watching, you always watching Wazowski.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
So yeah, it's it's strange business. I do like that.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
You're gonna keep amending this Nicks offer so long as
Joel Embiid finds his way into a jersey.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Well, I have to. I gotta make it. Sometimes. If
you got to sweeten the pot a little bit, generation
is understand alone.
Speaker 4 (13:25):
We've talked about that for a long understand.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Look, I've had this offer out there. Okay, this is great.
We've had the off route all right, good, but they
haven't pulled the trail.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
Okay, So lot suks like rotten fish. So you go
and you have to come up with another one.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
I'll also take your worst problem. How about that you
give us James Hard You don't have to worry about
anything else. There we go.
Speaker 5 (13:43):
Now we get to see it like ninety seven times
this season and maybe in the postseason, but.

game is over.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Noon and New.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon suck and Thursday Night Football is over.
Thankfully it is over. The Bills hold on to beat
the Bucks twenty four eighteen, but not without drama and
a Hail Mary that I'm telling you, I can't say
(15:27):
I've ever seen a Hail Mary quite like that before.
The Buffalo Bills had the football well lastly left you.
The Bills had the football facing fourth and one with
about thirty seconds left to go. They were just on
the Buck side of midfield. They did the old let's
try to draw the Bucks off sides. They did not.
They punted. Baker Mayfield gets the Bucks close to midfield
(15:51):
and then there's four seconds left, time for one last play,
and I'm thinking, maybe Mayfield can make it to the
end zone, but.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
It's gonna be close. But the Bills help out by
jump off side, so a free to play, so that
puts the ball near midfield. Baker Mayfield runs around for
about ten seconds and then throws it up. The ball
falls incomplete, not touched by anyone until it hits the ground.
I can't say I've ever seen a hail Mary that
(16:20):
no one touches until after it hits the ground. Insane,
But that's what we get from TNF joining us now
on the hotline to break it all down. Nobody better
NFL on Fox Inside are extraordinary, Jay Glazer, Jay, what's happening, buddy?
Speaker 2 (16:35):
How are you throw? Is perfect? How nobody touched it?
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Jay?
Speaker 2 (16:43):
I know, man, God would not to turn around, but
he really like you couldn't ask for anything better than that.
And Baker Mayfield thrown that. I mean, that was that
was put in perfectly, Like, I'm why don't we see
a ball batted down in the end zone?
Speaker 1 (16:56):
But hell, Mary, ever, you know, I don't know why, Jay,
receivers haven't gotten to the point where I know, for
the hell, Mary, you really want to try to get it.
But understand when I'm not going to get this and
I'm gonna flop or I'm gonna if I'm getting dragged,
I'm gonna go down and try to get a pass
interference call. I don't know how we haven't gotten to
that point yet where receivers haven't gotten that head. He's saying, Hey,
(17:17):
I'm not going to get the ball, but maybe I
could draw a flag.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
I don't often. I mean, look, it was basically a
bunch of guys under the basket in this right now, pushing,
and you're not going to call passing the currence of that. Well,
although I should never question what.
Speaker 5 (17:33):
I was gonna say, God would got held Evans cleared
a guy out.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
It was really free for all.
Speaker 5 (17:39):
It was like they were in the octagon there, Jay,
I should help.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Jay.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
This is where we get close to your idea of
all Special Forces guys being referees, where you can push
that again.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Jack, you're right. Hey, look he's got right. And I
don't know why I got such a pushback on that
that it was a great idea. It's all Special Operations
Special Force guys to be yours. They're great underfired, they're
great under pressure, right, they could react in the first
of all, they're a better shape than these guys themselves,
in a better position. A lot of them played football,
so you get those guys. And there also I think
(18:12):
I think it's a terrific system to use. You know,
Mike Prayer has a charity where he gets uh uh
come back Bess and train them to be officials. So
I think that needs to be a great feeder system
to the league in college.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
I'll sign up on that. We'll sign that petition as
part of the show. We're there. We got you, Jay.
Speaker 5 (18:33):
It makes perfect sense because officiating, it seems every week,
h we're looking at.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Why do I get so much pushback on that? I
don't get it.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
I thought you were going to be made head of
officiating after you said that.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
I think it was the referees Union And every.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Time I've brought up people league and they all looked
at me like I'm crazy. I know him crazy enough
for that reason.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Wow, Like, did like did Ed hockey lely threaten you, like,
like you know, I mean, did he come up to
you and just you know, pose a little bit and say, hey, Jay,
we got to talk now.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Those muffin guys they can't move. We know that, all right.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
So so you know, tonight we watch the Bills win,
and I don't think anybody is surprised the Bills won.
But Jay, this hasn't quite been the Bills team of
the last few years. They're very inconsistent. They're just not
the same as they were when they were this big
time Super Bowl contender.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yeah, I'm not really sure why they're taking a step
back like that. I do think they have the weapons,
you know obviously, you know, maybe change the defensive coordinator there.
I don't. I think they're trying to figure out what's
going on with them, why they haven't you know, why
why they're taking step backwards. But look, you know, like
I said, like I've said on other shows, like just
the part of season, you kind of are still trying
(19:42):
to get your flow, evaluate certain things, and eventually, guys,
you know, the these teams end up riding to the top,
you know, when they're supposed to. You know, in week thirteen, fourteen.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
Fifteen, Jay to that point.
Speaker 5 (19:54):
The Bills a team that we see connected with anybody,
you know, photo shopping, wide receivers, running backs. How active
can they be in terms of adding pieces either there
or to their defense.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Yeah, I think they are. I mean those bill are
gonna call around, They're you know, they called around a
lot last year and said some swims and guys just
you know what they're where they're good at? Is they last?
Just even guy they think he's untouchable, they'll still ask
there their GM Brandon Bean is very good in that way,
very aggressive.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Jay, What do you I know that the time, you know,
you hear stuff and people put out what they want
to hear. What kind of trade deadline are we gonna have?
We're gonna have an active trade deadline? Are we gonna
have a passive trade deadline? What do you think we're
gonna get in a few days?
Speaker 2 (20:33):
Okay, they're gonna have an active one. But not for
the names you've had, not for the Christian McCaffrey, h
how or von Miller's or Jalen ramseys you saw the
last few years. I don't think they're they're blockbuster names,
you know, like gould be wrong because again, like there
are certain teams that you know they're gonna start calling
and start saying, hey, hey, you know here's the crazy
the crazier part. And you may may come as surprise,
(20:57):
but there are a lot of teams who actually tell
other teams teams, hey, you know what, let's see what
happens in this week's game before we decide what we're
going to do. They kind of look at the trade
deadline as they're okay, like almost this line of demarcations
in their season of Okay, are we gonna kind of
cast our chip thing gets the draft picks for next year,
or do we have something here? And it really is
(21:18):
like they go into a lot of the gms going
through it this week thinking, okay, let's see what happens
in this week team before we decide on player X,
Y and Z. We always it's always kind of I mean,
I don't know surprise the right word, because I'm kind
of I've seen it all. I think in this league,
(21:39):
the fact that you're looking to go, okay, let's just
let's let's see what happened this weekend before we decide
on this player. If you want to skip it out
of town and you know, I don't know, it's just
you would think that, okay, they have kind of bigger
long run, long range plans.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
Jay, we had a pretty good laugh earlier this week
Jerry Jones doing his normal radio spot and saying, well,
we like our roster, so I mean, we're not calling,
but if someone calls us, what are you doing?
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Come on?
Speaker 2 (22:08):
But so this is the thing though, because that's the
other thing, like most of the teams, it's so funny
against it's our negotiation tore like, well, we don't want
to call, because it's going to look like BRENDI and
we're going to lose our negotiating power. We're going to
wait for teams to call us, and every team does
like you have to call every other team. You're not
doing your job if you don't call over your other team.
(22:30):
What's going on? What's out there? Hey? Just in case
you never know? And I'll tell you the greatest great story,
years and years ago is John Lynch called Bill Belichick
Bill Belichick and said, hey, would you be interested in
training Jimmy Garoppolo? And Bill said no, absolutely not listen
news backup? So he said no, absolutely touchable. And then
(22:51):
Lynch said, okay, so if he's in touchable, would you
trade a three? D said when you asked me, he's
like you said, Grappolo's untouchable. Would you create a praidy
And it's paraphrasing, but pretty much checks like you just
asked us if we would try the greatest quarterbacks who's
ever lived. He's like you said, the other guy was
in touchable and you never know, so you call her
(23:15):
out an ask.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
This is true. You're telling me your backup is untouchable.
So I'm gonna ask you for the other guy.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
I kind of did that the Rams. You know, you're
a few years ago when they got bon Miller, no
one knew he was on the block, you know, they
were they decided they wanted to pass Rusher, let's go
call and you know, and and you know kind of
bond was was, you know, it was blindsided by it also,
and they had that in the works for a couple
(23:41):
of days before it happened. They're trying for that. You
started with planting the seeds and other gms this week
in their minds and well if you guys, you know,
we'll come back to you, you know, we're gonna call
you again Monday. Choose it and you start planting seeds
in their minds and sometimes you can get somebody to
start making a move like that.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
Have you ever got you know, all this and look
the big HBO special on you guys, all the fun
you guys have an NFL on Fox. Did you ever
have any kind of trade deadline prank that you were
in on with any other other teams gms in years
past where that that's like, oh my goodness, I know
it was something we just had to do it. It
was too funny.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Yeah, I did on Eddie George once, but no, this
wasn't a trade deadline thing. But Eddie had just retired
son about him with the Eagles. I forget. I just
remember Eddie was gonna kill me. I'm getting picked up
for the Eagles after his career, after it was over.
I forget trade deadline pranks. It's hard. No, you don't.
(24:41):
You don't really want to Frank the trade deadline is.
And here's goo too. It's like once there was a
year that uh Tony Gazalez had has to get out
in Kansas City, and the Packers Mike McCarthy ran on
him and Andy Reave the Eagles for another them and
they both offered Carl Peterson the same type of deal.
(25:04):
There's like a third round pick and a player and
gone down to the wire and and like with like
forty minutes left or thirty minutes left, Carl I said,
you know, we want to one of two and two teams.
I mean, the Packers and the Eagles were really like
gotten out of the wire and Cony wanted to leave
(25:26):
to go playing a contender. And even if they had agreed,
they're like there's no time, like they told us where
there's not enough time. Back then you were like facts
and papers over so there wasn't enough time to actually
back things back and forth and get things done. So
it's a frantic. My point is it's a very very
frantic time of the year, not really the time you
(25:47):
played jokes on my friends.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
So just so you know, Jay Glazer, who once did yoga,
and Thomas Dimetrov office telling you there is no way
you can play pranks at the trade deadline. Okay, guy,
I wasn't.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Playing, Frank, I you need to play do yoga.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
He had a spacious office. When you're on Smith and
now you're right, you're right there.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
What that's right, You're at a big.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
Pore kind of stressing. It wasn't yoga stretching.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
All right, Jay.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
The Unbreakable podcast this week John Schneider talking about being
a GM, the ups and downs, highs and lows. Uh,
give us a little snippet of that conversation. I know
you guys go back a long way.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Yeah, but it's a great like you know, you never
kind of understand like what goes on between the years
of a general manager. That's why I want to say, like, look,
leaders got to take care ofbody else, But who takes
care of the leaders? Right? So the coaches take care
of old players all that the GM everything goes up
on their souldos and goes to them and they've got
to deal with it, whether an issue with the coaching staff,
(26:46):
a personal issue with them, or personal issue with the players.
And also like, how do you keep such a likable level?
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Dude?
Speaker 2 (26:53):
How do you not get close to players? And when
you got to cut them and you kind of gets
in and out? Also just done is incredible. And the
other thing about him and his Tracy's amazing. They have
a job was up for another UH team executives job
jam job before UH Seattle, and when he was there interviewing,
(27:16):
he finds out his son Ben is autistic and leaves
the innerview and they're going to offer him the job,
and couldn't I was take the job because he's like, wow,
this is this, this is obviously unexpected, and him and
Tracer like, we just got to figure out how to
handle this. There are suddenly the parents of an autistic
(27:36):
young son, and what they've done with that young man
Ben is now I think twenty one, twenty twenty one,
twenty two and last year they found out. He found
out they that Ben is like has this gift and
he has like they had a canvas in front of them.
(27:58):
All of a sudden, he does this unbelievable artwork. We
did a feature on it last year at Foxneville Sunday
Pat McAfee show. They did something. They bought it, like
you got to see that kids work. It's called small
The website is Small Ego Art, as in I have
a tiny ego which I don't have right, so the
opposite to take lest Small Ego Art dot com or
(28:21):
go on Instagram. You guys got to go on and
see that he is a genius at all these years.
They had no idea until he was like nineteen years old,
no idea that he could paint like this. And you
would look at these things and they are beyond art gallery,
Like it's the most I have.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
I have in my home.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
I have its first two pendings he's done on either
side of my demium fireplace. It's so remarkable. But just
the journey and what they've done now with his art
is they use that to have a business and give
back to other families with children with autism. It's just credible.
Small ego Art. You gotta go. Oh the check out
(29:04):
Instagram right now small ego Art. But you will be
blown away by what this young man could do that
they had no idea about until a year ago.
Speaker 1 (29:13):

(32:06):
held on to defeat Philadelphia one eighteen one seventeen. Damian Lillard,
now with the Bucks, had thirty nine points and no turnovers.
In fact, folks, that's stat zinc. If you could believe this,
Damian Lillard did something that literally no other NBA player
has ever done in a game since they started tracking
turnovers like forty five years ago. All of this the
(32:27):
same night, in the same game for Lillard, at least
thirty points, eight rebounds, four assists, no turnovers, and making
at least fifteen free throws without a miss. All of
that and they won by one in the late game.

se Well coming up next. Speaking of the trade deadline,
(33:43):
one star running back has already said, Yeah, I'm talking
my team about a trade. It's next right here, Jason
and Mike Fox. Better than Tiars for Fears, Better than
Tears for Fears. Yes, they have one song they done
the Pet Shop boys. Come on, manit they do not.
(34:06):
I literally f six their name. This is all that
came out. Oh well, you can't say that you got
you can't say that? Why you can't say what you
just said? About that song. I looked it up.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
You can't say that it's not good.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
No, you can't. What about Easton Girls? That's the sequel.
Speaker 7 (34:21):
They never wrote it. It's still there, it's still waiting.

at what do you got who had more hit Box
Office records? Tears for Fears or the West End Boys.
It's a pet shot boys. Oh okay, the song was
west End Girls? Okay, Yeah, that just he made.
Speaker 5 (35:23):
The assumption that they were talking about the girls in
their name right, which meant they were the west End Boys.
Makes sense, the east End boys west End girls like
the Van Buren Boys.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Yes, I'm gonna say Creed. The answer is Nickelback. Okay,
I right, very good. The Jason Smith Show with Mike
Carmon Live from the tire Rack dot Com Studios, Phoenix
somehow leading the Lakers despite the fact no Bradley Beale,
no Devin Booker. This is just embarrassing for the Lakers
so far. We'll have more on this coming up in
a few minutes. But thanks to Jay Glazer NFL on
(35:58):
Fox Inside of for stopping by telling he expects a
very active deadline. But you may not see some of
the big big names that are bandied about. But one
name you could see is Dalvin Cook as the Jets
running back. Very frustrated with his role on the Jets
and has talked to his agent and wants to talk
to the Jets about a trade before the deadline.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
Quote.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
It might be a good thing, maybe it's a bad thing.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Maybe it's good, maybe it's bad. Time win sometimes you
don't win. Let me tell you, let me tell you
the truth about Dalvin Cook. Right going into the season.
I love the move, right, Hey, Dalvin Cook is someone
the right age. Two years, Dalvin Cook, sign me up, right,
guy's got a lot left in the tank for two years,
the true three down back. But a couple of things
(36:44):
have happened. Breece Hall has shown that. Yeah, the conversation
at the end of the year is gonna wind up
being is Christian McCaffrey or Breecee Hall the best running
back in the NFL? Because guess who all of a
sudden leaves the NFL in yards per carry? It's Breeze Hall.
He is back and he is terrific. So you'd say,
all right, well, you know they maybe not making room
(37:04):
for Dalvin Cook. But Dalvin Cook looks washed. Okay, this
is the same offense, It's the same running plays and
the same plays where Breis Hall finds daylight, Dalvin Cook
finds a way to get dragged down after two and
a half yards. He's averaging two point eight yards per carry.
He looks washed. Now, whether this is I don't know
what kind of workout what he was doing keep himself
in shape football shape because he waited so long to
(37:26):
sign and maybe that's part of it, But the guy
just looks slow. He can't break through. Anytime they give
him the ball wide, he gets taken down by a
defensive lineman. He's just not the same guy he was.
And whether he's done or not, or maybe it's a
it's gonna take him a while to get ramped up.
He's just not somebody I even want the Jets to
give the football to, because it's impossible to think, Okay,
(37:48):
Dalvin Cook will get it and he'll give you positive yards,
more than two and a half yards. That's kind of
the thing. So, yeah, the Jets want to trade Dalvin Cook. Okay,
Dalvin Cook wants to go someplace great. Jets aren't losing anything.
But I don't know who's saying I want to line
up for Dalvin Cook, because I'll look at the tape
and go, oh man, well, he just looks like a guy.
He is really just a guy. I don't know that.
We don't have better guys on our team right now
(38:08):
than Dalvin Cook. The only way you would make a
trade for him is if you could say, maybe he
just needs more time to get into shape, and if
we take the next month and really work him in.
By the time we hit Thanksgiving. Maybe Dalvin Cook is
back as close as he can be to being the
guy he was a year ago, but so far he
looks washed.
Speaker 5 (38:27):
I'd offer him a seventh round pick if I'm the
Minnesota Vikings, or maybe if I'm the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
No, hey, give us, give us Kirk Cousins. We'll give
you back Dalvin Cook.
Speaker 5 (38:39):
But like legitimately, there are a couple of teams because
we're talking about the running back position and it's something
we explored a little on the old I Watch Your
Flex podcast this week of guys who might get dealt
to help your fantasy squad. No, it's not like you
have leagues like in baseball where you have to worry
about a guy going from a National League team into
your ale lonely league and suddenly you have a giant
(39:02):
bopp or not then not part of your lineup on
that NS side anymore.
Speaker 4 (39:06):
But you know, a little bit of chaos potentially there.
Speaker 5 (39:08):
But we've talked about Derrick Henry and with the Titans
trade and buyered out of their secondary that they're open
for business. So DeAndre Hopkins potentially gets dealt whatever. But yeah,
for Dalvin Hook, Dalvin Cook, I mean, he's clearly a
guy that he's frustrated he's not seeing the ball enough,
and it's like, well, you've done nothing to prove it,
because I can't imagine the practice tape is much better
(39:32):
against that defensive line, right.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Can you imagine saying no, no, don't look at the
game tap, look at the practice tape. But you know
what I'm saying, sure, look at my client's practice tape
instead of the game table.
Speaker 5 (39:43):
But legitimately, like even like we're trying to find anything
to try to make a sale here, it was a
great run in the first fifteen minutes of the first
workout he had with us upon joining the squad. That's
about as far back as you have to go for
Dalvin Cook's positivity right now.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
Exit out about a Fresca exit swollen dome. Look, if
the Jets can move him, great, If they can get
a seventh round pick, great, Right they just traded McCole
Hardman back to the Chiefs. That didn't work out. Dalvin
Cook is not Hey, I don't even know that. If
if you don't give the ball to Breeze holl Michael
Carter's not a better example for somebody else. Someone else,
someone else. I mean, really, Dalvin Cook just looks washed.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
Between Hardman and J. C. Jackson. You can go home
and thrive again.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
Exit out about a Fresca Swallen dome Ete seven seven
ninety nine on Fox. Is the phone number coming up? Next?
We get into Thursday night football. Guess what quarterback might
be losing his job pretty soon? Fox, John Stamos
