I like the Diamondback starting pitching, and I love Kettle
Marte to be the MVP. Seen so far, Diamondback starting
pitching has been better. Marte's one for three with two RBI.
But let's get it's serious about this, because what we've
seen so far is the Diamondbacks of well, we're serious
because I'm right so far. So there's that the big thing,

and there's two big things from this from this game tonight,
game one right now, with the Diamondbacks up five to three.
They were down two nothing early. They withstood the two
run first inning, and Zach Gallen calmed down as much
as he could. I mean, I would walk a Dolas
Garcia every single time. But hey, you do you watching
this Diamondbacks team, they look like the Dodgers in this respect.

If Carol and Marte don't hit, there's no way the
Diamondbacks can win. But if Kettle and if Marte and
Carol hit, watch out this could be a really short series.
Because these are the Mookie Bets and Freddie Freeman of
this team. There's nobody else that really scares you in
this lineup, right It's but it's that if the top
two guys in the lineup hit they make everything happen,

and that's what made it happen for the Dodgers this
year and so far to tonight, what do you got,
Carol Marte are two for six, they have four RBIs.
You had a run scored there, and they're each hitting
now over three hundred in the postseason. These guys have
gotten the big hits. Tonight, Tommy FAM's got a home run.
That's great, you get a little bit from the rest
of the order, But when these guys hit, the Diamondbacks
aren't gonna be beat. If they don't hit, it's gonna

be impossible for them to win. So it kind of
breaks down where they're they're like the Dodgers in that respect,
where look what happened when they in the playoffs when
Mookie Bets and Freddie Freeman didn't hit, what happened. The
Dodgers went out very meekly, And it's the same thing
you can say for the Diamondback There's a lot of
pressure on these two guys, especially with Corbyn Carroll being
a rookie, but so far everything's been great, and that's
kind of how the series breaks.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Down for me. Well, I mean, when we talked about it, yesterday, right,
I mean, starting pitching, we go to a draw and
then we start looking at the bullpens and where you're
going to find your efficiencies. But the one thing that
scared me in making the pick of the Rangers is
just the way the Diamondbacks manufacture runs. Right, we talk

about Marte, Walker and Perdomo already have stolen bases in
the game. Right, So keeping pitch sure, you know, distracted
all the extra that goes with that on the base
paths and try to find a little advantage because it's
all about percentages, right, It's all all about trying to
find little angles that may open the door to a

bigger inning and keep the line moving. And you know,
you got you gotta appreciate that style. So to that point,
you know, you also look at Gallon who struggled early.
There was no panic, right, no panic. And now he's
gone through through five just the three year and runs.
He's at ninety nine pitches, so we won't see him

much longer.

Looked like he was gonna empty the tank against Garcia
and the the like, Hey, two outs, nobody on he's
throwing ninety seven, ninety eight couple of those pitches. This
is I know I'm done after this. Just empty it out.

get him out or not, this is it. This is
your last batter. Just go empty it out.

Well, because the other is I mean, just to take
it from the thirty thousand foot view, I mean, both
managers recognizing it ain't getting one today, right is as
much as we always have our stats as well, the
team that wins game one and blah blah blah, that's
all finding good. It's not a one game series. So
the starters gut it out, right because if Aldi ends

up going four and two third six hits, but the
five earned runs, he also got to eighty nine pitches
before he yielded. So letting these guys work through and
trying to steal it because you know the the both
bullpens are going to come in so big in this series.
Best not to burn them out as best you can
in game one while it's still within a reasonable deficit.

So here we go. So there were up there were
five inserted of every player like it's a it's an
insert set, right, So you got parallels one ninety nine
ninety nine, you know, all the way up to like
nine ninety nine, I think, but then all the way
down one of one, well, they did a taco fractor
show in the background, she got the player's picture, and
then there's tacos like they're floating in space like a

screensaver kind of thing. And those are numbered to five
for each player. So they are up to five of
them and looking and tracking them off eBay and such.
People had been placing their little little wagers in the
secondary market, and they were selling for about three four
hundred bucks thereabouts. The last one sold for about one
thousand so five collectors. And here are the official rules.

They yet a Taco Bell digital gift card with a
face value of fifteen k plus, they're gonna give them
a check of fifty two fifty to cover the taxes.

Ooh okay, all right, how great is that? Yeah, that's

and so if you find one on the secondary market,
you decide how much of that fifteen thousand. You know,
it's worth fifteen grand, it's not, Hey, I go redeem it,
and it's a you know, just never ending, you know,
kind of hey, go against my credit like it's a
fifteen thousand dollars gift card right off the jump, right.

And also, I don't want people to think that this
replaces everybody still gets.

Well, and here's what then, this is what makes me
feel good about my pick of the Diamondbacks to win the.

World Series's America's hero.

He is America. I mean, come on, free tacos already.

Go no, even if he doesn't win it, he's America's He's.

But here's why I feel good is that the team
that has had the Taco hero since the taco thing
has gone on. Now this is the twelfth year the
team that has the taco hero, the person who steals
the base that gets free tacos for for everybody in
the country. Their teams are eight and three in the
World Series. So now already the Rangers have to overcome

taco hero if they want to win the World Series.
And that might be just too much right there to overcome.

I think they should have had someone running in that
that opening inning.

Why are we stealing a bit? Just try?

completely idiotic. Number one, change the rules and put in

it in, like stop being idiots. Just put that device

all the strengths of the Texans play into what Carolina

I say, hey, you know, Carolina, I'm not gonna need
the three and a half points, but I'll take them. No, No,
I want every inch of this three and a half points.

I'll take every point you want to give me. But
give me Carolina plus three and a half over the Texans.

I am not a big fan of this team. The

give Jacksonville issues. Yes, the Jaguars are hot. They've won
four in a row, but they haven't been they haven't
done it how good I thought they would be. Right,

Jacksonville's winning and that's great, right, and they're in a
bad division. They're doing what you want them to do,
but they have been doing it so impressively. Pittsburgh's offense
is starting to figure out what their identity is. They're
divving up the running responsibility. Getting Deontay Johnson back was huge.
I know he's on the injury report for this week,
but it looks like he's gonna be okay. Jacksonville's been hot.
This is a close one all the way. Pittsburgh being

at home is a big difference for me, just like Carolina.
Oh no, no, I'll take every inch of the three
points in this one. But Pitt getting three over Jacksonville, Yeah.

Big deal in this one is can they keep Watt
and Highsmith from getting home? If you can, then you

I like the Diamondback starting pitching, and I love Kettle
Marte to be the MVP. Seen so far, Diamondback starting
pitching has been better. Marte's one for three with two RBI.
But let's get it's serious about this, because what we've
seen so far is the Diamondbacks of well, we're serious
because I'm right so far. So there's that the big thing,

and there's two big things from this from this game tonight,
game one right now, with the Diamondbacks up five to three.
They were down two nothing early. They withstood the two
run first inning, and Zach Gallen calmed down as much
as he could. I mean, I would walk a Dolas
Garcia every single time. But hey, you do you watching
this Diamondbacks team, they look like the Dodgers in this respect.
(05:29):
If Carol and Marte don't hit, there's no way the
Diamondbacks can win. But if Kettle and if Marte and
Carol hit, watch out this could be a really short series.
Because these are the Mookie Bets and Freddie Freeman of
this team. There's nobody else that really scares you in
this lineup, right It's but it's that if the top
two guys in the lineup hit they make everything happen,
(05:50):
and that's what made it happen for the Dodgers this
year and so far to tonight, what do you got,
Carol Marte are two for six, they have four RBIs.
You had a run scored there, and they're each hitting
now over three hundred in the postseason. These guys have
gotten the big hits. Tonight, Tommy FAM's got a home run.
That's great, you get a little bit from the rest
of the order, But when these guys hit, the Diamondbacks
aren't gonna be beat. If they don't hit, it's gonna

be impossible for them to win. So it kind of
breaks down where they're they're like the Dodgers in that respect,
where look what happened when they in the playoffs when
Mookie Bets and Freddie Freeman didn't hit, what happened. The
Dodgers went out very meekly, And it's the same thing
you can say for the Diamondback There's a lot of
pressure on these two guys, especially with Corbyn Carroll being
a rookie, but so far everything's been great, and that's
kind of how the series breaks.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Down for me. Well, I mean, when we talked about it, yesterday, right,
I mean, starting pitching, we go to a draw and
then we start looking at the bullpens and where you're
going to find your efficiencies. But the one thing that
scared me in making the pick of the Rangers is
just the way the Diamondbacks manufacture runs. Right, we talk
(06:53):
about Marte, Walker and Perdomo already have stolen bases in
the game. Right, So keeping pitch sure, you know, distracted
all the extra that goes with that on the base
paths and try to find a little advantage because it's
all about percentages, right, It's all all about trying to
find little angles that may open the door to a
(07:13):
bigger inning and keep the line moving. And you know,
you got you gotta appreciate that style. So to that point,
you know, you also look at Gallon who struggled early.
There was no panic, right, no panic. And now he's
gone through through five just the three year and runs.
He's at ninety nine pitches, so we won't see him
(07:34):
much longer.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Looked like he was gonna empty the tank against Garcia
and the the like, Hey, two outs, nobody on he's
throwing ninety seven, ninety eight couple of those pitches. This
is I know I'm done after this. Just empty it out.
This is like, this is your last batter. If you
get him out or not, this is it. This is
your last batter. Just go empty it out.

Well, because the other is I mean, just to take
it from the thirty thousand foot view, I mean, both
managers recognizing it ain't getting one today, right is as
much as we always have our stats as well, the
team that wins game one and blah blah blah, that's
all finding good. It's not a one game series. So
the starters gut it out, right because if Aldi ends

up going four and two third six hits, but the
five earned runs, he also got to eighty nine pitches
before he yielded. So letting these guys work through and
trying to steal it because you know the the both
bullpens are going to come in so big in this series.
Best not to burn them out as best you can
in game one while it's still within a reasonable deficit.

So fun times ahead as we go to the top

Give me the Panthers getting three and a half over
the Texans. Look, the Texans can't run, and their defense
isn't great. They give up a lot. Carolina's coming off
the bye, There's not a lot of places for a
win on this schedule. This is where I expect them

to play their best game. And I don't know that
all the strengths of the Texans play into what Carolina
struggles with defensively. This is gonna be a game where Hey, Carolinas,
the Carolina is getting three and a half points. Usually
I say, hey, you know, Carolina, I'm not gonna need
the three and a half points, but I'll take them. No, No,
I want every inch of this three and a half points.

I'll take every point you want to give me. But
give me Carolina plus three and a half over the Texans.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
If nothing else showcase game, Perhaps because the trade deadline Tuesday. Hey,
you want any of these guys, look at what they
look like in their last bit of tape with our squad.
All right, big week ahead. Obviously no buys this week,
which is exciting for us as we go. I am
gonna go with the home underdog, that is the fighting

Gardner minshees. Why because it's Derek Carr on the other side,
or will it be Taysom Hill. I don't know. We'll
see before it's all said and done, we'll see who
Carr gets to scream at this week. The Colt's the
narrow one to one and a half point underdog, So
not a massive upset here, but it's more just the

Alvin Kamara is gonna score twenty points free again. Hot
route is the order of the day. But the fighting
Minshoes with that dual headed running approach hot R Michael
Pittman Junior alongside Josh Downs and Gardner Minshew running like
his Harison fire.

You said Minshew's name like eleven times in picking this
said I said three times, so much so it's all
about hit his name three times And you said fighting
Minchew's and minshew Mania and then fight Minshoes again. I'm
counting the Minshoes. I'm counting all the minches.

I did? There a lot of energy towards the Colts.

I am not a big fan of this team. The
fans are not a big fan of this team, even
though they're four and two. But give me the Steelers
getting three over the Jaguars. Look, Pittsburgh's defense is gonna
give Jacksonville issues. Yes, the Jaguars are hot. They've won
four in a row, but they haven't been they haven't
done it how good I thought they would be. Right,

Jacksonville's winning and that's great, right, and they're in a
bad division. They're doing what you want them to do,
but they have been doing it so impressively. Pittsburgh's offense
is starting to figure out what their identity is. They're
divving up the running responsibility. Getting Deontay Johnson back was huge.
I know he's on the injury report for this week,
but it looks like he's gonna be okay. Jacksonville's been hot.
This is a close one all the way. Pittsburgh being
(39:52):
at home is a big difference for me, just like Carolina.
Oh no, no, I'll take every inch of the three
points in this one. But Pitt getting three over Jacksonville, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Big deal in this one is can they keep Watt
and Highsmith from getting home? If you can, then you
can work against that secondary. Kirk and even Calvin Ridley
might have something to say, but here you go. Here's
