(00:49):
about twenty minutes, we're gonna catch up with Michael Myers again.
If remember we interviewed him earlier in the show. He's
out and about with his normal Halloween you know, expectations
and events, so we're gonna we're gonna catch up with
him again in about twenty minutes. But we have breaking
news right now coming from our studio ten o'clock at
(01:10):
night here on the West Coast, on the coach Isaac
Low and Kron has a chorus right now, Hi Lo.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
The Las Vegas Raiders have just announced that they have
fired head coach Josh McDaniels as well as general manager
David Ziegler. Raiders owner Mark Davis saying in a statement
and I quote, after much thought about what the Raiders
need to move forward, I have decided to part ways
with Josh and Dave. I want to thank them both
(01:40):
for their hard work and wish them and their families
nothing but the best. Again, The Las Vegas Raiders just
announcing that they have fired both head coach Josh McDaniels
as well as general manager Dave Ziegler. The Raiders this
season three and five, coming off Monday Night football's loss
last night at the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Oh, Michael Myers, you just lost your news cycle. So
here we are. It's a final, happy trade deadline day,
Happy Halloween, Josh McDaniels. Can I get some candy? Yeah?
Here you go? What's that slip? You're done? You're fired?
Absolutely done? Uh not how I thought today was gonna end.
It is a very typical Raider thing to do. We're
gonna do it in the middle of the night. We're
(02:22):
doing at ten o'clock at night, Like, we make this
decision here so people can wake up tomorrow and it's
all good. Like that's a typical rate of thing to do, right,
Like we're gonna We're not gonna do it first thing
in the morning where people can talk about it all
day and look for interviews. No, no, we're gonna do
it at ten o'clock at night. So at the end
it's gonna be people wake up in the morning and oh, yeah,
this happened late last night. Yeah, it's over. We have
(02:43):
our new head coach, right, Tom Flores is backer whatever
they're gonna wind up doing. So they fired Josh McDaniels
and GM David Ziegler at ten o'clock night on Halloween.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
If you want a good one, though, Jason, we saw
the press release, right, I saw.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
It in my timeline.
Speaker 5 (02:59):
So where did the press release come from?
Speaker 4 (03:01):
My came from at Raiders on their Twitter and I
just now see Adam Schefter sources the Raiders have fired
their head coach and GM.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
You're a little light shifty your sources, the Raiders, your sources,
the Raiders on Twitter. How do we dump this? How
about we do it on Halloween at ten o'clock at night.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
I mean, look, last night, the Harden trade went down
ten minutes, seven minutes whatever it was officially after we
went off air tonight. Well here you go, final hour
of the program, right as we finished the update and
the intro to the hour and bam NFL news.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
You thought the trade deadline?
Speaker 4 (03:47):
I mean, did he get fired because he wasn't able
to go and get proper compensation?
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Ziegler. This is for Josh Jacobs and DeVante Adams.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Look so much to get to at this there's so
much to get to.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
By the Bears and then later the Lions. Here, anybody
you have.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
The on brand of the Raiders. We're gonna do it,
Like I said, ten o'clock at night in Halloween. I
mean really, like the kids are up counting their candy. Oh,
Raiders fired their head coach. Oh really yeah? Yeah yeah, yeah. Uh.
This is some kind of move. Is it unexpected? No,
because you knew at the end of the year that
Josh McDaniels was gonna get fired, right, you knew that
(04:28):
was gonna happen, that things things had not gone well
enough for the Raiders. They have absolutely no identity, absolutely none,
And and I don't know that things were gonna get better,
And I don't know that it was gonna get better
anytime with any moves you could make. Right, Like I thought,
coming offful last night, this is where the Raiders understand
we stink, and we're gonna trade DeVante Adams, We're gonna
(04:51):
trade Josh Jacobs, We're gonna trade h Hunter renfro We're
gonna get whatever assets weekend because the rest of this
year is just setting it up for next year. Right.
Jimmy thinks he can't stay healthy, he can't make Devonte
Adams a weapon, he can't do any of this stuff, right,
So why are we Why are we going to even
(05:12):
go through the motions that something else is gonna happen
other than this now? To do it now? I kind
of think it's a little bit gut I mean, not
doing it ten o'clock at night, but I kind of
think it's a little bit gutsy by the Raiders because
they could have stayed down this path and gone to
the end of the year and said, all right, well,
we couldn't make any trades today. We couldn't make stuff happen.
Whatever it was, We're going to go and try to No, No,
(05:32):
we still want to try to make something of this season,
and we're gonna have new leadership been there in the
middle of the year because this is what's gonna make
it work. And I kind of dig that. I kind
of and you know, part of it had to be
that Josh McDaniels lost the locker room, whether he lost
Davonte Adams I'm sure, or some other guys with some
of his decisions over the course of the year. But
I kind of think that that, in a weird way
(05:55):
outside of the timing of it, doing it for the
Raiders tells me we still believe in this team in
thish year, And I kind of like that. And I
think you're gonna see a lot of big changes coming
to the team, whether it's Aid and O'Connell starting a
quarterback for them, whether it's DeVante Adams getting the ball
in the first play of every single game to keep
him happy. But you're gonna see some changes for the Raiders,
and you can't say it's going to be bad because
(06:15):
it wasn't going great now, so any change is a
good one. For them.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
Yeah, I mean, I haven't seen anything about who steps
up in the interim, but you're looking at over the
last fourteen days, right, The loss of the Bears just
catastrophic and put McDaniels in. He was at plus two
hundred as the favorite for first coach to be fired
in the updated odds coming into today, So less than
(06:42):
twenty four hours after that update, boom, there it is.
Off he goes. But you lost to Tyson Magen. Your
team got run over and didn't look like they wanted
to be on the field. And then you have a
game against the Lions on national television now, and we
did everything we could to sell or at least I
did when you're talking about forcing the Lions to settle
(07:05):
for field goals, et cetera. But you still gave up
five hundred yards of total offense and you had a
wide receiver throwing a tantrum because he can't connect with
the quarterback. And you can fight all you want about
you know, one throw or the other, the one out
of the end zone, and should he have been able
to step into that throw, take the hit and deliver
(07:26):
the ball for what would have been what a ninety
five ninety six yard touchdown, whatever would have been officially okay,
maybe the other one would have been a sixty yard touchdown.
That's the one that you focus on and go, wow,
that's just a wide open look that you just miss.
You just need to lob it up there and let
him go run after it instead sales out of bounds.
So two huge throws. Josh Jacobs has been grossly ineffective.
(07:49):
He had like a four run stretch yesterday against the Lions, like, hey,
they're actually getting some traction. He found his way into
the end zone. Hey, positivity, you haven't had much of
that through the first half of the season after you
brought him back on a one year, ten million dollar deal.
All of it to say, your GM put this squad together.
You've got a couple of all stars, your last year's
(08:11):
leading rusher, a guy in Devonte Adams that you love.
You let Darren Waller go, that's fine. You drafted the
kid from Notre Dame. He's been a non factor. Hunter
Renfro has raised his hands saying I want in whenever
it is possible. He's been a non factor, and you
just go down the list. It's just a comedy of errors.
(08:31):
As it goes. But that loss to the Bears, that
magnified so many problems that you had, and then last
night you just put a giant exclamation point at the
end of it. So I hate to say it, Jason,
but here we are with same old Raiders.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Yeah. Well, going forward to Adam Schefter, just put this out.
They're gonna name linebacker coach Antonio Pierce their interim head.
Going now, you kind of understand why they didn't do
any thing trade deadline right because you said that thing
in the beginning. Hey, how much they could they couldn't
move on from guys. I think if they really wanted to,
(09:09):
they would have been able to find people. They would
have found people for DeVante Adams, They would have found
people for Josh Jacobs. They would have found somebody for
Hunter Renfro. You would have been able to do that.
You would have been able to find somebody if you
really wanted Maybe you wouldn't get exactly what you'd expect,
but would you have gotten a second round pick for
Devonte Adams? Probably? Would you have gotten a third round
pick the Josh Jacobs Probably right, If you really wanted to,
(09:31):
you would have found someone. Because these are talented guys
that don't fit with the Raiders and would fit with
other teams. So yeah, so okay, if you really want
to do it. The fact they didn't do anything tells
me that this was gonna wind up being their move,
and they knew it, and they just decided to wait
for the news dump to announce it, like they probably
(09:52):
knew they were gonna be doing this hours ago, like
after last night. What are we gonna do? Mark Davis
is unhappy, The players are unhappy. We spent a lot
of money on these guys. Spend a lot of money
on DeVante Adams. We paid Josh Jacobs for this year,
we paid to bring in Jimmy Garoppolo. This is not working.
Can we really cut bait on all of them? Know,
let's go get a new head coach in a new
(10:12):
GM and get a new direction. Right. So that's kind
of how I see it going down, because now the
Raiders lack of activity today makes more sense. So I
don't think it was a case where they couldn't make
a trade. I think this is they knew this is
what they wanted to do, but we're gonna wait until
the middle of the night. On the East coast to
let it go and let people know about it. So
that's kind of how I see things in now. The
(10:33):
last twenty four hours with the Raiders make a little
bit more sense.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
But you tie your GM's hands to a bunch of albatross's.
Is that the proper or is it just albatross? Is
that the plural is a albatrod albatro? Try anyway, just
the idea of you're going nowhere in a division that
is very difficult to navigate because now you're getting lapped
by the Denver Broncos, who are playing some better football
(11:00):
of late. Are they great? No, but they're far better
off than you've been thus far. And so we look
at what the Raiders have and the money invested, We
talk about some costs, and it's not often that you'd
see al Davis, and certainly not Mark Davis. Look just
four weeks ago he was yelling at fans smartting up
(11:20):
when they were saying to fire McDaniels. And now you
go and you decide that that's your path. I would
have thought it would have been a slash and burn
to just get rid of all of this so that
you get to start fresh the next year with a
bunch of assets for the new GM as opposed to
a continued disgruntled wide receiver.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Et cetera.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
But I guess maybe maybe you have a better chance
of getting closer to market value for him postseason. Josh
Jacobs will be off the books. You still have Garoppolo,
but that's only one eel.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
You still kind of can't You still can do that
in the off season. But like I said, thinking about
it from Mark Davis' perspective, it was, Okay, we've had
eight games. We're not one in seven, we're three and five.
Things should be better. I spent a lot of money
on these guys. Let's just make sure they can't do it,
and that I kind of understand. I understand the whole Hey,
(12:17):
we spent money on this team making it the way
it was. Was it a great plan? No, I don't
think the Raiders had a plan. It was let's get
this guy, and let's get this guy. Let's get this guy.
They don't have an identity and trying to make it
work like this. I don't see it, but I get
the philosophy of I spend money on these guys. Let's
just see if they can. Let's see if different leadership,
a different kind of systems, something else. We can get
(12:39):
the maximum out of these guys, because in the end,
Josh Jacobs is still twenty six, right, He's still young,
and if he suddenly goes crazy the rest of the year, hey,
guess what. You got a guy that's a Pro Bowl
running back who's still well on the right side of thirty.
Maybe you rediscover Hunter renfro right. Maybe Jacoby Myers gets
back to being the guy he was the first five
or six weeks where he was a great offseason signing.
(13:01):
Or you get Devonte Adams back to where he is
being one of the most dominant wide receivers in football,
not being overthrown by Jimmy Garoppolo. Maybe if Garoppolo can't
do it, it is aid cut.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
But suddenly the idea that Nick Lombardi, son of former
executive Michael Lombardi, former employee of the Patriots, the Jets,
and was a defensive assistant under Jim tom Sula, that
suddenly as offensive coordinator, he's gonna unlock all their potential.
That McDaniels was the guy holding back the offense.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Mark Davis way too much go no, no, no, no,
not that smart No, Mark Davis is just saying I've
spent all this money.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
He probably touched this release up in the back of
his minivan.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
And you know how he doesn't like to eat money, right,
he doesn't like it.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
But that's the thing, the fact that these guys wow.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
But as but that that's a drop in the bucket
compared to what he's paying the guys on the field.
And if you got to make you gotta make a decision.
Then you make a decision on hey, we keep the players,
and we move on from the guys making the decision,
the guys who made the decisions to bring the players in.
But that's what I'm saying, is Mark Davis, is I
spent all this money. I want to see if it
can work. So before I get rid of it and
(14:16):
and start moving on, which what other teams would have
done and started planning for next year, I want to
see if this can work right now. And it sort
of tells me why Aidan O'Connell has not played quarterback
up until now, because who knows what the philosophy is.
And Mark Davis may be saying, no, I gave Jimmy
Garoppolo money, We're gonna pay Jimmy Garoppolo when he We're
gonna play him when he's there, right, We're gonna We're
gonna continue to play Devant Adams even if he's pissed,
(14:38):
and even if he's he's throwing his slam and his
helmet down. We're gonna play money. We're gonna play these
guys making this cash and I want you to see
if it works. That's my desire. And Okay, like I said,
I get that part of it. I get that because
you can still move on at the end of the
season if you want to. I'd have done it middle
of the season because you would have had more assets
coming in, you would have finished with a worse REP,
(15:00):
you would have a higher draft pick for a franchise quarterback.
But this way of doing it, I'm not saying they're
doing it very altruistically, but I understand exactly what the
Raiders are trying to do with this.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Fox Sports Radio. The Jason Smith Show with My best
friend Mike Harmon Hobo live from the ti iraq dot
com studios, where we just saw breaking news ten o'clock
at night, one o'clock in the morning on the East Coast,
the Raiders decide they've had enough of Josh McDaniels, n GM,
Dave Ziegler. They have relieved them from their duties, effective immediately.
(15:45):
The announcement put forth by a statement from the Raiders
a few moments ago. Mark Davis is quoted he thanked
them both for their service, and the Raiders are moving on.
So last few minutes we talked about why the Raiders
would do this and why Mark Davis is clearly choosing
the underperforming players that he's paying a lot of money to. Hey,
(16:05):
let's see how they do under new leadership, rather than
trading the players away at the deadline.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Right, he had the leadership of a guy who had
to resign. Yeah at Arizona State and Antonio Pears when
he had taken over the program, recruiting violations, whatever else.
But now you're gonna pay not only McDaniels and Ziegler
on the way out, you're still paying off whenever you
still own John Gruden.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Dude, Wait, wait do you to see it? Wait?
Speaker 3 (16:30):
Wait?
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Are morning when you wake up tomorrow morning and Jim
Harbaugh is getting the introducers about, Hey, I'm excited. Wait
what just happened? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yeah, it all worked out badly fast.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Yeah, it all worked out really fast. Hey, don't worry,
don't worry. Josh mc daniels is gonna go coach Michigan
the rest of the year. It's all good, and it's
only gonna be a couple of games we're getting busted
because oh yeah, yeah we did it. Yeah, we stole
all those signals. Yeah it doesn't matter. Yeah, I'm here now.
I'm happy. I'm a Raider who's got questions, who's got questions?
I want to know. I'm attacking the day with a verve,
unknown de mankind. I am happy to be back in
(17:04):
the NFL Raiders.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
What a crazy sequence, though, right, You just look at
their last couple of weeks, and obviously we chronicled the
Monday night football game ad nauseum, the the bad throws,
the tamper tantrum from from Devontae Adams, and then into
the post game where he kept his composure.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
But he'd already laid it.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
Out on the field, so it didn't matter, you know,
Josh Jacobs saying fixing the offense.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Yeah, that ain't my job.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Okay, just man after man, Like, just stick a microphone
in someone's face. You want to got a one liner,
you want to get up. And remember last week this
was the greatest report of the weekend was Pallisero And
we talked about it a little bit Monday night. Is
that last Thursday they had the airing of the grievances,
you know, including the metal poll for the feed man.
Here we are less than a week later. Yeah, we'll
(17:53):
see you in hell. You're done up being let go?
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Will he ever be a head coach again? He is
fair ailed spectacularly.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
If you're gonna do it, I mean, that's the way
to do it.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
I mean you but yeah, but once you get in
the club, you want to continue to be a head coach.
You don't want to go back to being a coordinator.
You want to be a head coach. And yeah, but really,
who's gonna hire him? I mean, Josh McDaniels is one
tiny step I'll be an important stuff. He is one
tiny step above Adam Gasee, who I told you was
(18:26):
never gonna work again. It was just such a disaster
with the Jets. I remember having people on and NFL
in times going yeah, Adam Gase trusted was such a disaster.
Has Adam Gase worked He is not now. Josh McDaniels
did have success as offensive coordinator, but he failed so
much as a head coaching an NFL job again. I
don't know who's gonna hire him as an OC. The
(18:49):
only guy that hired him as an OC was Bill Belichick,
and he's got Bill O'Brien Jets, Bill O'Brien, you can
take over Hacket though, No, Bill O'Brien's not taking over
his head because then you trade Bill O'Brien back to
the Raiders, and Bill O'Brien can't trade the best players
because the deadline's done. So he's not accepting that till
next year. Not happening.
Speaker 5 (19:09):
No, stun my fire solid he'll be next.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
I don't know when Josh McDaniels works in the NFL again,
and if he does, it will be something. So I
don't want to say low priority because you know, no
coaching jobs the NFL at low priority. But is he
going to even be a coordinator? Like would he come
in like the only way I can see him back
in the NFL is like as a quarterback consultant or
(19:35):
a quarterback maybe a quarterback coach for a team that
is looking for some outside input, because look, he has
had success with quarterbacks that worked well with Brady. But
then again we saw maybe Brady was responsible for everything
with the Patriots, and that's about where I can see
him back. And I don't even know that he's going
to be put in charge of anything, so back as
far as I can see him as if a consultant
(19:57):
or a quarterbacks coach, if he wants to move on,
be because what he did with the Broncos and the Raiders,
which was McDaniel's doing. It's either Stanley the two worst
coaches in the NFL that seemed to be having this
fight over who gets fired first. He's been a tremendous
eberfoot Yeah, but.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
Quarterback, and they keep telling all the broadcasters all about it.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Did you not listen to collins Worth the other night?
Speaker 1 (20:20):
I want you to say good things about Baijin so
but it's not at Eberflus is not. But and you
play this guy, why wouldn't you that was gonna get fired?
So you know, okay, you're coming at this with a
really low image of of who you are as a coach.
I don't I don't see after that, I don't see,
and don't put that out there. Frostburg. Daniel's to see you,
(20:40):
to oversee Zach Wilson because he's good for the We
got Rogers. Rogers is back. He's telling Zach Wilson everything
just there.
Speaker 5 (20:48):
I'm gonna tell Joe Douglas on Monday when I see
him about it.
Speaker 4 (20:51):
I mean, maybe McDaniels can get an application there and
go learn from arians and Tony Dungee and companysts will
be selected for the Career Development Academy leading into the
twenty twenty four Rookie Mini Camp.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Look, I don't.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
Relish anybody getting fired. I mean, we never do, but
sometimes it's inevitable with the way and a direction that
a team is heading. Obviously so much unrest with your
star players, right. The only guy that seems like he's
at least rolling along, he's been a man A few
words when related, you know, when asked about the team
(21:28):
as all, when we look at where the offense is
and Garoppolo's inability to stay healthy and your decision for
the backup was all right, here's O'Connell, and maybe there's
something there long term outware. Why because these guys were
once upon a time members of the New England Patriots.
So they got gigs there and it didn't work. In fact,
(21:51):
it was a catastrophic failure. And now you're looking at
a roster that's high priced, you know, would be stars
and a lot, a lot of a lot of guys.
I mean, there's there's not a ton of talent to
build off in this squad. Thought the offensive line would
be better to get a push for Jacobs. He's been
(22:11):
ineffective for much of the year. After the off season
that was of holding out, walking away whatever the case
was gonna be. And now after half a season, you've
decided to jettison a head coach. I mean, this is
just so unlike the Raiders in the way they run
their operation.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
I want to know who got to Mark Davis? No,
I want to know what got to him?
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Can you Some Raiders in the bear prisciple is so unlikely.
This is no no, no, no, no.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
Er no no no, but not from the point of, hey,
we're gonna go and and we're gonna pay someone not
to be here.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Sure, Rudin think was a whole other mess.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Let me no, let me ask you this. Are you
sure that Josh McDaniels is gonna get all that money? No,
he's getting ta He's got four more years and ten
million dollars a year due to him. Are you sure
he could be the games? Free hotel rooms. You get
a two hundred dollars voucher at the Win Hotel once
(23:20):
a month for food. It's gonna be great. You love
all the perks and we're letting you go with It's
a great severance package.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
Just take it some Yeah, what a what a what
an event here at ten o'clock Pacific time on Halloween
night trick or Tree because I triple checked it it. Yeah,
just going letter for letter? Did they do one of
those darned Schefter things? All of that because it was
(23:47):
up before Schefter or any insider uh raised the eyebrows went, Well,
then we got something now, don't we?
Speaker 5 (23:54):
So how long before we get the John Gruden and
Josh McDaniel's podcast.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
Oh, they'll do their first episod so tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
I'm watching Chucky right now.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
It'll drop, it'll drop. Yeah, Tom Flores will be on it.
To ya or you'll get all those guys on. Oh,
Mike Shanahan will be on it. I think they still
owe Mike Shanahan money. I really think Mike Shanahan is
still owed money by Al Davis and he just stopped
pursuing it like he wouldn't pay him, right, Like Al
Davis fired Lane Kiffin for cause I don't want to
pay you. I don't want to pay me. Really, When
(24:22):
when the Raiders owe you money and they're gonna pay
as long as you Yeah, I only know when I
get the check and it goes through and my bank
tells me, yes, you're good, you got paid. That's the
only way, you know what the Raiders, how many guys
have they tried that with Hea? They said, yeah, we're
not gonna pay you. Are you sure? Josh McDaniels is
get it. It's a lot of money. It's forty million dollars.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
I just have a question, who when, like the late
great Doug Befradovitch does in Chicago, when things go south.
These guys are screaming to where if you're on the board,
you're doing everything you can't there just there's just no
way to modulate this. Who's that guy among.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
I'm telling you, somebody's got to let me know if
a plane takes off from ann Arbor, a private plane
from ann Arbor for Las Vegas in the next few hours,
just let me know if that happens, we could track it.
What they do for college football coach when they when
they want to don't want people to know they went
out of town to go talk to somebody about a
new job.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
But legitimately, right we did have the report that they've
slowed talks and paused talks on new contracts and whatever else.
Remember Dabba was supposed to quit when NILAN stuff came.
Now he's fighting with callers.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yeah, dude, but right now, Yeah, but wouldn't Jim Harbaugh
be the perfect I mean, maybe Dabo really understands that, Hey,
I can be that mcgains the Michigan's the the enemy
and the and the villain of college football. Now with
the sign stealing scandal, college foot the NCAA hates know
that already, He's got his own boosters that hate him
because they've made this thing go public. They hate Harbor
(25:48):
so much, we're gonna cut the nose off of our
football program just because I don't like him. Wouldn't he
be the perfect Raiders call? You know, he would be
the bigger if he's all Boys or Raiders, and the
Raiders maybe just beat the Cowboys punch because they can
hire Harb one now.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
No, he's a perfect guy for the Raiders.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
Like his theme song is I Don't give Up, I
don't give up, and he'd come dancing in because that's
kind of how he's gone.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
And all this.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Yeah, I got you got nothing. I got no knowledge
of any of this. Like you cheezburgers, you want me
to meet and talk to you. Nope, not showing up.
He's the perfect Raider.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
And here's evidence that's late breaking coming right now where
I can be an NFL insider. What did I tell
you fifteen minutes ago that how the day went today?
Where the Raiders didn't trade anybody where? Clearly that was
where they had to go. Right There're season's done, it's
not working. DeVante Adams is not happy. He's not being used.
Josh Jacobs is on the rest of a one year deal.
(26:41):
You're paying a lot of money, Jacoby Meyers. All of
these things, you're gonna move, gonna move on from Jimmy Garoppolo.
And what did I say fifteen minutes ago? The fact
that they fired their coach and their GM tells me
that they knew they had two decisions to make. They
could either trade the players or the guys I'm paying.
They're gonna stay with new leadership, and I'm going to
(27:02):
fire these guys. No moves were made during the day,
and so these guys I want to see if this
can work under new leadership. They probably had this decision
made earlier in the day and they waited to dump
it at ten o'clock at night, because that's typical on
brand for the Raiders. Halloween night at ten o'clock, No
one's gonna notice. Adam Schefter from just a few minutes ago.
Courses Raiders owner Mark Davis horses forming select members of
(27:26):
his organization late in the day, too, was firing Josh
McDaniels and Dave Ziegler, so he knew this hours ago ago.
Hours ago.
Speaker 5 (27:35):
The Wi Fi and his minivan wasn't very good
