New England Patriots, maybe even in a trade, and we
know that the commanders are very interested. We've also reports
that the Bears would be interesting interested in Bill Belichick
because then you have, yeah, a plethora now this draft capital.
This is something that would have been better a few
years ago because I thought the Bears and Belichick would work.

But I gotta ask you this, honestly, as a Bears fan,
if Bill Belichick became available tomorrow, why would you want him?
I'm mean serious, why would you want him? Because two
things one of two things of the truth with Bill Belichick.
Either one boy, he is really tanking it because he
doesn't want the Patriots to win it all and he's
mad at Bob Kraft, which shows wow what a bad

guy is. Or he has lost his fastball. And when
he's in charge of either coaching or buying the groceries
for the team and putting a team together, he cannot
do that. I would say this, as long as he's

he's willing to go chase down records and do it
from the confines of Hallas Hall, that's fine, because, let's
face it, what you got right now. But he's not

Belichie doesn't give a crap about things like that. And
now I'm gonna have my OC be a guy who

more popular the spirit of Thanksgivings store pop we get

Eli Ross should make that Thanksgiving movie. I like seeing

It's an easy answer. We wanted to stack points. Oh,

to just to hype up your defense. Talk about the
fact that Sweat had the pressures that he did on

So they run the ball and they let's say they
don't get the first down a buck twenty. By the
time the clock goes and starts and punting, you're talking

about twenty seconds left. He didn't know the game situation.
That's what. He did not know the game situation. He's
Matt Eberflus. I mean, but think about that. He did
not know the game situation at that point because right,
third time out, buck twenty six, Right, that was it.
They're not getting the ball with a minute ten because
you don't keep getting time out. You can't take time
out from other games. He did not know the games

of your guys didn't run out of bounds. You were right.
You run the ultimate forming up the middle. If he
doesn't get the first down minute twenty, you're gonna get
They're gonna get the ball pinned deep with about twenty
seconds left and no timeouts to getting a field goal range.
You didn't know. He didn't know. He didn't know. He
didn't know the situation of the game. See, this was
another opportunity to just go back to you. We really

trusted our defense and thought if we dialed up a
good play and if it didn't work, our defense was
going to be able to hold. And the thing is
throwing the football at that point. What that did. This
is why I didn't like the call beginning was that
it's third and seven because with no timeouts left, you
punt the ball away and third and seven, you throw

the ball with a quarterback that is not a great quarterback.
You don't throw to your best receiver. You throw to
a guy that almost traded before the deadline, and you
throw in a double coverage and you get lucky that
Mooney comes down with the catch. You get lucky he
comes down with the catch. It was a stupid decision,
and now it's even stupider. Now it's even stupider. Well,
his logic obviously fails, and his explanation is faulty in

a million levels. But in the end, guy made a
great throw. Was it the right play call? Was it
the right decision as it was happening? Color me intrigued?
Guy like chaos. I like when they don't know down

for two years, and certainly we've had evidence week after week. Hell,

last night he gave you all you needed to know
about his grasp of reality. We'll get to that again
coming up in ten minutes because it makes my head explode.
But we are on the cusp of absolute history once
again in college football. Okay, something we have never seen before,

never seen, and it's something we had never seen before
up until last week. Now we really have never seen
this before. The lowest over under, oh yeah, in the
history of college football remembers a big deal. We talked
about Iowa Northwestern. The over under was thirty one and

a half. Wow. That's really low. Rutgers and Iowa this
week historic lowest over under in the history of the game.
The over under is twenty eight. It's amazing twenty eight.
So if it's just sixteen thirteen, you lose right, twenty

eight points for the over under. Yeah. The oddsmaker currently
at Caesar's, Craig Mucklow, said they went through all their records.
They couldn't find anything lower. So but they found fifteen
one hundred games over the last five years with higher
first half totals. I'm on Syracuse's website. There's a lot

lower everywhere, but like legitimately, it's something we've been talking
about with the NFL quite a bit. Because you had
another underhit tonight. The over under for Bears Panthers was
thirty eight and a half and for the years it's
coming in at sixty two percent. You look at the
slate this week, you have another four games with over

under totals under forty actually five. I found the fifth
and the only game that approaches the upper upper level
of fifty, which is where we get a little bit excitable,
is Detroit and the Chargers is at forty eight and
a half. Everything else is in either mid forties or

barely breaking that forty barrier as we go through into
week ten of this season, part of it being the
fact that we've got ten rookie quarterbacks getting after it.
And let's face it, Iowa, they're on the goodbye campaign
for their offensive coordinator because they didn't meet the incentives
to keep his job. Ie was supposed to score twenty

five a game. Whether you win or not, doesn't matter.
You're not scoring. They are daring you to take the
over in this game, all right, Bookie, they are daring
you to take the over. Well, are you gonna find

then Northwestern like a bunch of dopes ran the ball
into the line four straight damn times, when even though

go all the way down. We do not want to
run plays. We do not want to run plays at all.

that the Bears would be interesting interested in Bill Belichick
because then you have, yeah, a plethora now this draft capital.
This is something that would have been better a few
years ago because I thought the Bears and Belichick would work.

But I gotta ask you this, honestly, as a Bears fan,
if Bill Belichick became available tomorrow, why would you want him?
I'm mean serious, why would you want him? Because two
things one of two things of the truth with Bill Belichick.
Either one boy, he is really tanking it because he
doesn't want the Patriots to win it all and he's
mad at Bob Kraft, which shows wow what a bad

guy is. Or he has lost his fastball. And when
he's in charge of either coaching or buying the groceries
for the team and putting a team together, he cannot
do that. I would say this, as long as he's
not buying the groceries. No, No, I'm not convinced Poles
is any good. But the jury's still out. As long

as Belichick wants to just come in and coach, and
he's willing to go chase down records and do it
from the confines of Hallas Hall, that's fine, because, let's
face it, what you got right now. But he's not
going to work under a GM, not after that, after
this long he's come and work under a GM, not
gonna happen. Well, but it's not gonna adapt or die.

Not gonna happen. You can coach, but you're answering to
a GM. No, he's not gonna have diminish collaboration. He's not.
He's not gonna have diminish power. Well, then he's probably

couple of weeks ago, and then they got inspired and
beat the Bills, So that was good. But beyond that, yeah,

to be made. But you also have all the questions
and the hedge scratching decisions when to punt when he's
going for it when he doesn't, how to build an

Belichie doesn't give a crap about things like that. And
now I'm gonna have my OC be a guy who

things that are under Bill Belichick's control. This is not

it's gonna happen like Christmas is gonna get so big

it a holiday. Because Halloween teachers were coming in sluggish,
doing their things, but but the kids were coming in
after sugar comas and whatever and just saying this is
an unproductive, useless day.

Uh No, I would say the popularity of Thanksgiving because

of the two days off people. For school, Yeah it is, yeah,
it is. It's a full schools a week Greek. Yeah.
Well I mean growing up, I mean we only got
the two days. Now it's a full week. Yeah now
it is. Yeah, for school because it went from two
days to three because Wednesday was always it. But now
it's like, just take the whole week. What does it matter? Well,
that makes no difference. And mad One still has soccer
practice so there's no travel. Take it off. It's all good.

Uh So yeah, ty should I think I think you're
gonna it's a that's tough one. I'm telling you. Thanksgivings
more popular the spirit of Thanksgivings store pop we get
in some Gordon now. But we are getting a Thanksgiving
horror movie. Now that that's good. And you know, I
always wondered every ever since I saw Grindhouse. I'm like,
Eli Ross should make that Thanksgiving movie. I like seeing

the knife in the turkey and the blood coming out.

And he's like, no, now he's doing that. We got
Onndhouse an adult movie. No, it's not, as far as

Panthers or getting killed by Thanksgiving or just watch the

Jason, think about it. More people buy suffer Thanksgiving than Halloween.
Thanksgiving is more popular about that. People buy turkeys?

What else do you buy? He's still people people buy
for Halloween anymore? Everybody buys candy. Do you know how
much leftover candy is being sold now? Ye? Stolen? I
brought candy in for everybody here the other night, and
everybody ate. Everybody did. Nobody's eating anymore. I thought your

candy got Stolensmith. Nobody's eating candy. No, what do you
mean people are eating?

This was the now next Halloween that five people brought
in candy. That's a lot of leftover candy.

I think somebody still bought it. I would choose right,

think about everybody here at work and bring It's a family.
I mean, we spend more time with each other and
staring down and mocking each other. We get to do
with our own family. I don't want to sit next

Bears head coach, had to say following the Bears win
tonight over the Panthers in a Thursday night football game
watched by dozens of I mean watched by millions of people.

if I used any plays up my sleeve, because I
got a one line. I'm going right back at you
and sing. That's like it's like the comedian's got a

plant in the audience. That's gonna so now you're gonna
heckle me and then I'm gonna come right back at you,
because that's what's gonna be fun. Okay, great, I mean,
really come at me hard, all right, and tyser you
got that? Okay, very good? All right, So let's hear
from Maddie's up your sleeve the comedy side of Bears

Consideration was given for two and then wouldn't be when they're.

Yeah, you know, we were just one of the stacks

playing really well, and we know it was going to

they scored the touchdown to go up fifteen to ten.
They kicked the extra point to go up sixteen to
ten instead of going for two to go up seventeen ten.

Now, all he's got to do is say, well, at
that point in the game, two field goals, we didn't
want to lose the lead. That's all you have to say.
Stacking points, dude, it's one more point. It's fifteen to sixteen. Yeah,
that sounds stacking points. That's like, that's like putting a's
like it's like when you're playing Chenga and you got
to put the one little thing on the top of
the big tower. You're not stacking points. Not like we

got a touchdown and it were stacking on a touchdown
on top of it. It's you got a touchdown and
then talk about kicking the extra point. Just say, hey,
at that point in the game, it wasn't a one
possession game. The Panthers didn't have to drive down and
go for broke. If it was that point, we would
have gone for it, but instead went up by two fields.
It's an easy answer. We wanted to stack points. Oh,
they got from fifteen to thirty. No, it was fifteen

to sixteen. I mean, your stacking is really a way
to just to hype up your defense. Talk about the
fact that Sweat had the pressures that he did on
Bryce Young all all game long, and that you were
confident that your defense was going to force them to
make multiple drives instead your stacking points. We're stacking points, man,
(24:27):
we're stacking I made Look you were. You were almost
halfway to the average allowed by the Panthers in their
previous road games they gave up thirty six a game
coming into this or stacking points. All right, let's go
back to the press conference, and here's some more from
Matt eberflu Really come at me hard. I'm sorry, wrong one. Wow,
you got that. You cut that up really fast, had too.

He's a talented man. That's really good. Wow, that was

What were you in just creating? Did you get to
everything that you wanted to get to the second half?

No, no, we didn't, but we certainly. Uh, you know,
had a good plan coming out there, and uh again
it was a defensive game.

Uh this this this weekend.
Speaker 6 (25:19):
Uh, I thought the guys did a nice shot, finished
in the game that we were supposed to and uh
we did good.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
Did we sive? What was up your sleeve? Did you
use it? I don't know what's up yours? Yeah? Decision
to throw? Yeah, what was the discussion? Like and couple
players they.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
Were, but no, I mean there's really a decision there.
You have, right, you know, so if you decided to run,
you know, at that time, then you got a punt
and pin and they would have they would have had
a minute ten with no timeouts, you know, and hopefully
on the ten yard line if if we punt it right,
you know, So that was the idea there. We liked
the play call, you know, we like the play call.
(26:07):
We discussed it and we went for it, and we
thought that executed well. Moving made a beautiful catch and
you know, he's one yard past the stick and sealed
the game.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
So really good play call by.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
Luke, excellent execution by the O line of the entire
offense and Moody on the catch and Beijing on the throw.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
Okay, So what he's talking about there is the play
that really pissed me off. At the end of the game.
The Bears have the ball at midfield and they're facing
a third down the I believe, I believe he's incorrect.
I gotta go back and look at this, but I'm
pretty sure the Panthers were out of timeouts with a
buck ten left to go and the Bears facing that

third down call. You think he knows that, I'm telling you, man,
I really think that he's got that incorrect. Where was
It was third down for the Bears, third down and
about seven, and if they ran the ball, they would
punt it deep and I think the Panthers would get
it with about twenty seconds left in the game, all right,
(27:09):
I don't believe they had a timeout left which took
the minute twenty six. Yeah, so Matt Eberflus doesn't know
what was going on in the game at that po
It was third and seven. He doesn't know what twenty six.
So they run the ball and they let's say they
don't get the first down a buck twenty. By the
time the clock goes and starts and punting, you're talking
(27:31):
about twenty seconds left. He didn't know the game situation.
That's what. He did not know the game situation. He's
Matt Eberflus. I mean, but think about that. He did
not know the game situation at that point because right,
third time out, buck twenty six, Right, that was it.
They're not getting the ball with a minute ten because
you don't keep getting time out. You can't take time
out from other games. He did not know the games
(27:52):
of your guys didn't run out of bounds. You were right.
You run the ultimate forming up the middle. If he
doesn't get the first down minute twenty, you're gonna get
They're gonna get the ball pinned deep with about twenty
seconds left and no timeouts to getting a field goal range.
You didn't know. He didn't know. He didn't know. He
didn't know the situation of the game. See, this was
another opportunity to just go back to you. We really

trusted our defense and thought if we dialed up a
good play and if it didn't work, our defense was
going to be able to hold. And the thing is
throwing the football at that point. What that did. This
is why I didn't like the call beginning was that
it's third and seven because with no timeouts left, you
punt the ball away and third and seven, you throw
(28:34):
the ball with a quarterback that is not a great quarterback.
You don't throw to your best receiver. You throw to
a guy that almost traded before the deadline, and you
throw in a double coverage and you get lucky that
Mooney comes down with the catch. You get lucky he
comes down with the catch. It was a stupid decision,
and now it's even stupider. Now it's even stupider. Well,
his logic obviously fails, and his explanation is faulty in
(28:56):
a million levels. But in the end, guy made a
great throw. Was it the right play call? Was it
the right decision as it was happening? Color me intrigued?
Guy like chaos. I like when they don't know down
distance and situation. You know why, because it gives us
more stuff to talk about. And for once in the
eber Flus era, things went his way. Wow, But just
(29:20):
to sit there and say they had a time out,
that didn't have a time out. Jason shocked about this.
I mean, come on, man, I know who you're dealing with.
This is just another line on a Wikipedia page in
sideline that no man, there's other people that know the's
teddy dude. No, they're out of timeouts, no timeouts. Run
the football twenty seconds left. Wow. Wow, that's your head coach,

and I think the Jets skull on my head goods.
Your head coach didn't vote for him? Wow, I didn't
hire him. Wow, that's unbelievable. We should have never come back.

I'm still the last five minutes I've been talking about
the Matt Eberflusch. Well, you're obsessing with this and you're
forgetting one basic thing. He is who we thought he was.
He all he's doing is confirming everything I've been saying
for two years, and certainly we've had evidence week after week. Hell,

last night he gave you all you needed to know
about his grasp of reality. We'll get to that again
coming up in ten minutes because it makes my head explode.
But we are on the cusp of absolute history once
again in college football. Okay, something we have never seen before,
(31:39):
never seen, and it's something we had never seen before
up until last week. Now we really have never seen
this before. The lowest over under, oh yeah, in the
history of college football remembers a big deal. We talked
about Iowa Northwestern. The over under was thirty one and
(31:59):
a half. Wow. That's really low. Rutgers and Iowa this
week historic lowest over under in the history of the game.
The over under is twenty eight. It's amazing twenty eight.
So if it's just sixteen thirteen, you lose right, twenty
(32:22):
eight points for the over under. Yeah. The oddsmaker currently
at Caesar's, Craig Mucklow, said they went through all their records.
They couldn't find anything lower. So but they found fifteen
one hundred games over the last five years with higher
first half totals. I'm on Syracuse's website. There's a lot
(32:43):
lower everywhere, but like legitimately, it's something we've been talking
about with the NFL quite a bit. Because you had
another underhit tonight. The over under for Bears Panthers was
thirty eight and a half and for the years it's
coming in at sixty two percent. You look at the
slate this week, you have another four games with over
(33:05):
under totals under forty actually five. I found the fifth
and the only game that approaches the upper upper level
of fifty, which is where we get a little bit excitable,
is Detroit and the Chargers is at forty eight and
a half. Everything else is in either mid forties or
(33:25):
barely breaking that forty barrier as we go through into
week ten of this season, part of it being the
fact that we've got ten rookie quarterbacks getting after it.
And let's face it, Iowa, they're on the goodbye campaign
for their offensive coordinator because they didn't meet the incentives
to keep his job. Ie was supposed to score twenty
(33:45):
five a game. Whether you win or not, doesn't matter.
You're not scoring. They are daring you to take the
over in this game, all right, Bookie, they are daring
you to take the over. Well, are you gonna find
Jimmy Hoffel like they did at Wrigley Field when the
dark turf suddenly just collapsed at the goal line and

then Northwestern like a bunch of dopes ran the ball
into the line four straight damn times, when even though
the middle was a quagmire. Well, that's the whole thing
is that Northwestern likes to run the ball in Iowa.
Iowa wants to run like four plays a game. They
don't want to run. They want every play clock we
go all the way down. We do not want to
run plays. We do not want to run plays at all.

They are begging you to take the over twenty eight points.
I'm not falling for it. I'll take the under. So
is kid mcdameric gonna win the Heisman Trophy. I'll tell
you if he was healthy things, we would have actually
scored points in one more game. Hey, kay, did were
you getting the signals or did it happen after you left? KD?
Just just unbelievable anyway. That Yeah, that Northwestern thing was

just kind of funny. I really thought they were gonna
find like random buried treasure. There No neither of these
teams like to run a lot of plays. Iowa doesn't
want to. Yeah. No, I'll still take the under on this.
I'll take a twelve ten game or something like that,
or if taking nine to eight maybe something like that. Yeah,
it is under like Iowa football. You know, we laugh

about Bears Panthers in the NFL Jets and we laugh
at the Jets. Yeah, of course, but certainly watching Iowa football,
that's a chore, man, that is a chore. It's a
fun it's a fun defensive watch watching them fly around
and the secondary and what they're able to do. But
my goodness, on offense, it is it is a slog

I would say, if I thought each of these teams
could score more than one touchdown, I would take the over.
But I'm but I mean, give me the under in
this and not even know if it's gonna be close.

to play with. Usc Oregon's gonna hit that total in
one quarter. That's one quarter or one play in the
