(00:51):
will be one of those nights we can Kevin over
under counter how many times we're gonna say the word bet.
And I think it's gonna be white a lot three, Francesa.
You can't count that we're gonna be saying bet an
awful lot after.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Bet, bet, bet, bet, bet bet Bet. It is Fred
Flintstone kind of Friday Night Bett.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Well more than forty one I've already had like six
or seven bet bet bet bet bet bet you won't
I bet, I will, I bet I will, I bet
I will a huge story. To kick things off without
you have to have a big night in the NBA.
We already have upsets galore and college basketball.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Come on, it's the plan. It's the tournament, man.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
It is I know.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
I'm sorry, it's another night of the tournament. And you
know this because of the way your favorite team's floor
is painted. If you don't know it's a is this
a Is this a tournament? Is this an in season
tournament game?

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Is it not? I don't know. Just look and see
if the if the.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Floor is painted really weird, you know it's an nd
season tournament game.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
That's how you know that sounds about right? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
If the floor makes you want to throw up and
the walls start spinning around you, it is a tournament game.
It's like an offshoot of the Magic Johnson Twitter game.
How do you know if it's an NBA tournament?

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Just look at the floor.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
If the floor looks like something ridiculously stupid, then you
know it's an NBA and sees a tournament game, all right,
They wouldn't even let you see. The Celtics wanted a
little bit of park and the NBA said, no, hey,
you have it like.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
A stripe apart. No, no, I can't have it.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
No, we'd like a little throwback to the history of
our franch No, oh.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
That's a great idea that only people would like, and
it would be No, We're not gonna do it.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
We'd like to put a giant image of the Leprechaun
from the leper Kahn movie series in Is that allowed?

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Or a picture of Jennifer Aniston? Either one? Can we
have either one?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Well?

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Even better? Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
But tonight begins with the story We've been waiting for
the hammer to fall. Wait and Father Hama we waiting
for the hammer to fall, and it's kind of fallen.
We get the decision on Jim Harbaugh after the scandal
of sign stealing, and the Big Ten has banned Jim
Harbaugh from coaching the remainder of the regular season as

(03:05):
the league disciplines the Michigan football program under its sportsmanship policy.
This amid the ongoing NSAY investigation into their in person
sign stealing ring, which has been going on for the
last few weeks.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Connor Stallion's the.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Low level staffer who had been accused of attending other
Big Ten and other college football playoff team games to
try to steal their signals illegally. We finally get the decision.
Jim Harbaugh banned for the rest of the regular season,
much like his suspension the beginning of the year. He
can coach during the week, he just can't coach the

(03:39):
games on the weekend. So maybe we're all back in
the mix to coach Michigan.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
The next few weeks. Maybe.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Hey, I was defensive coordinator for a half week two,
Steve de Sager got to coach up potential overtimes. I
know you got a first half of the first game
on offense. That was pretty cool. Mike, I'm looking forward.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
To its good. I mean well, being the wizard I am.
I had all the signals, so I made us look
real good. Now, before you think.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
That Harbaugh is not going to coach tomorrow, this is Look,
this is like a story out of like nineteen forties
college football, Because now suddenly they've run to court to
get an injunction.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
To stop sprinting. So are you interrupting my dinner? Hard
all the law and order episodes. But wait, but when
they the limitations expires at midnight, Yeah, the judge, they
go to the judge's house and the judge, you're interrupting
my family time or the judges in on it, like
either one of those two things. Is what's happening when

(04:37):
wearing his Ebeneezer Scrooge Nights Night camp and gown.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
So Michigan, Yes, oh, it's the Ghost of Christmas future.
So Michigan's playing left for Penn State.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Earlier today, Harball was on it link came out Harball
getting banned for the rest.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Of the regular season. Now that doesn't mean this the
investigation is done.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
It means before we get into the who's and what,
we got to tell you where the thing's at. Said
currently and this is Michigan is upset and they have
already filed an appeal to court to allow him to
coach in the game tomorrow against Penn State.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Now, there were initial reports that this court.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Case was in front of a former law student at
Michigan who is actually speaks on the Michigan Circuit to
classes on campus. Now, but that's been that's been debunked,
and now it is in front of a judge who
actually does have a University of Michigan, but doesn't speak
for the school and doesn't go on and do appearances

(05:44):
for Michigan. So this is where the injunction is in
front of right now tonight to get harbought a coach.
So I'm just picturing everybody at Michigan, you know, again,
at the judge's door.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
You know, sign this right here, you got we have
to do it. This is this.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
We have to make sure by noon tomorrow harbuzz in
some kind of hotel room sequestered.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
This is this, This is where I.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Was hoping the story would go, because this is just
so much fun that we're talking about Michigan in court
on a Friday with an injunction.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Stop the presses, stop the presses, let him coach.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
And now everybody's gonna go to bed tonight not wondering
if Harbo's gonna coach in the biggest game of the
day tomorrow in college football, the big nude kickoff on
Fox Sports.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
This is fantastic. This is so well, it's.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
It's it's good for us, it's good for Fox, good
for nine a m. Pacific time. You'll want to tune
in find Fox.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
On the dial. H.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
You know, I come in a little bit earlier and
watch Big Noon kickoff and get after it. I did
the quick you know, Google search as you can. I
found the phone number to her office.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Oh you did so, did you call?

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Yeah, I'll try to get it for an interview. No,
I'm talking to you right now. Maybe at the break,
we'll see what kind of message. Michigan fans leave me
the blank alone. If you have a questions about any
other matters in the county, please.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Do leave a message after the.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
But yeah, I mean the way the way this comes down, right,
you get the file, the injunction, the eleventh hour. Friday, man,
there's no such thing as a news dump in this
particular case. Right, normally it's out Friday.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
You had the game is tomorrow. You had to figure
something out before the game? Come on, Well, did you
did you really have to?

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Of course you did, you can. Big ten it was
like Frankenstein. Big ten members were Tony Pettiti's door with
torches going, you give us some kind of decision. We're
gonna burn your house down, Gory, We're gonna get something.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Before the game.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
You could have given him the old razzle Dazzle. Instead
he went King Solomon and he split the baby. Oh right,
I mean you get.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
A little bit of what you want, but you know what,
he gets to work with them during the practice week.
Now look, now there's there's a lot to get to
in that, because the whole thing is that this decision sucks, right,
but not why you think.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Right.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
The decision sucks, but not why you think because the punishment.
After reading the Big ten letter, with a thirteen page
letter they wrote to the University of Michigan detailing their
actions and why they are suspending Harbaugh. They say the
sign seiling scheme is termed as quote, an organized, extensive,
years long, in person advanced scouting scheme that was impermissible.

(08:26):
Tony Petiiti Big ten commissioner wrote later in the letter,
evidence gathered by the NCAA and corroborated by other Big
ten members leads him to believe a significant portion of
the violation has been proven, with details of scope, intent,
and individual knowledge yet to be determined for additional penalties.
So it sounds like they have the goods right, But

(08:49):
what did we get? We got a ridiculously stupid decision.
Because this should be a big decision. This should be whoa,
you caught our ball man?

Speaker 4 (08:56):
This is it.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
This is some kind of ineligibility thing for the school.
This is a sign stealing scandal. You got them right,
you got them right handed with all this. But instead
you get a let's placate everyone ruling. And that's why
this decision sucks because it's Tony Pettitien in the Big
Ten going boy. All the schools are breathing down my
neck for some kind of decision because they're pissed. Michigan

(09:16):
keeps talking about due process and not penalizing them and
all we've heard the last few days, or that, hey,
other schools are taking our signals too, and we're gonna
make sure that people know about that. How do I
make everybody happy? And that's exactly what they tried to.
Let's try to make everybody happy. So everybody will stay
off my back for a month while we figure this

(09:37):
thing out and while we continue to go through all
the evidence. So the Big Ten and college football in general,
they can be happy because I'm gonna sit the coach down.
Michigan's gonna be happy because I'm allowing them to stay eligible.
They just can't have their coach. This is stupid. It's
a stupid decie. If you have the evidence, you have
the evidence. If you dont have the evidence, you don't
have the evidence. And you say, hey, you know what. Sorry,

(09:58):
I know you guys want a decision, but we don't
have it yet. So you know what, suck it up.
Everybody plays and when we have it, we have it
and we'll come down with it. But this is what happens,
Mike and I say it all the time when a
leaderless sport tries to govern. And Tony Petiti is not
a leader, he's a guy. He's a guy trying to run.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
You know, he's not a big ten guy. You know,
he's come over to try to figure things out. Oh,
by the way, good luck is the last guy couldn't
do it. Now he's gone. So you are a leaderless sport.
And it's not just for nil and changing conferences where
no one can make a decision and say they're powerless.
When you try to govern and you don't really have
a leader, this is what winds up happening.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Well, I want to kind of keep everybody happy.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Where if you had a commissioner, if you had somebody
who was in charge of the sport that could control
things like nil and conference realignment and all these things.
You could say, hey, this is my ruling. Am I
run college football? And this is my ruling, and Jim
Harbaugh is allowed to coach until we figure this out
or we have enough evidence and Michigan's ineligible to win
the Big Ten, you have some kind of strong decision.

(10:58):
But instead you get this. But like I said, this
is why college football needs a commissioner. They need some
kind of governing body because stuff goes off the rails.
But we look at off the rail stuff like nil
and conferences and it doesn't matter because everybody's getting paid.
But when you look at something like this that's fabric
of the game and morality and you got to keep
your house in order, you get stupid crap like this
only because that's the way it is. It's a leaderless

(11:20):
sport and you can't govern when you're leaderless.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Well, I would love to see what Michigan's presented in
the Yeah, but they did it two side of things,
which I wonder if that's sitting in a giant file
on the commissioner's desk and he's going I can only
come down, so hard. We still got to parts through
all that crap as it goes.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
You know, this is where.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
The lack of involvement, the lack of control, the lack
of really any standing anymore of the NCAA is at
its best, right where the conferences themselves have done what
they want. And I find it funny and and forgive
me if you've seen it. I wrote this down and

(12:04):
immediately it was the didn't you just poach a bunch
of schools from another conference?

Speaker 4 (12:10):
And now we're.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Talking about fair play and all this other stuff and
trying to parse out what's real what's imagined in this
fictitious show game you guys are all playing. Yeah, you know,
you had a conference, you had all these agreements, but
the hell with it, Like you let him fight it
in court. You're gonna be members of the Big ten. Now, wait,
you might have stolen signs and you had some guy

(12:33):
going around and really fifteen thousand dollars, I keep coming
back to that as a matter of pragmatism. I mean
the guy's allegiance to the to Michigan, his next level
if making all those trips and accommodations for a whopping
fifteen grand. But I digress.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Yeah, I had a six hundred page plan to take
over Michigan. I know this was probably very early in
the manifesto. That's probably the first ten pages.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
Jason, how many pages to take over Syracuse football?

Speaker 4 (13:03):
One?

Speaker 3 (13:05):
I am the captain now and we'll beat Pit tomorrow
at Yankee Stadium. You just watch Yankee Stadium. Yeah, appreciate
at home.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
So you get to this point where you've got all
the different schools, presidents and coaches and everybody else calling
for action, Well, you don't have to react immediately, like
if you're not ready, You're not ready, I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
Like that.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
That's unless three is the magic number like we were
taught on all those kids shows back in the day,
between that and conjunction junction or or I'm just a bill.

Speaker 6 (13:42):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
We we get our threes a magic number. And so
that's the the suspension. So you don't want that moving
target into your conference title game?

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Is that what we're doing? And why it needed to
be adjudicated? Now as he's getting on a tarmac.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
What was it Monday night? Didn't we say this is
how it was gonna go.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
They're gonna suspend Harball just for this read to try
to make everybody happy while they figure it out.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
And that's exactly what happened today, exactly it.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Yeah, so they tried to playcate everybody. But then you're like, wait,
he still gets to be in the facility and facilitate
everything in game planning. He just can't be on the sideline. Hell,
I'd be in the fifth row buying my own ticket
and just waving at the camera wherever I could.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
This is just insane.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
This is college again, a leaderless sport. Hey, we got
to make a decision. Guess what you're gonna bifit you can't.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
Hey, hey, hey, but the money's gonna roll in. You
know they can always quote unquote vacate those wins.

(16:29):
to go oh for three as a Clipper. I feel
pretty confident saying this, even though the game is still
in the third quarter locker. The Mavericks lead the Clippers
one oh nine to seventy nine with two minutes to
go in the third quarter. The Mavericks might score one
hundred and fifty tonight, and Luca might score sixty. He's
got forty two right now, sixteen out of twenty from

(16:53):
the floor. As the Mavericks have a thirty point lead
over James Harden and the Clippers, I think we have
to say it like that, James Harden and the Clippers, since, oh,
James Harden's gonna be so great, He's gonna be such
a difference maker.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
James Harden and the Clippers.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
That's how we say, not Kawhi and the Clippers, Not
Kawhi and James Harden and the Clippers.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
Well, he is six for six from the foul line.
I do have a question as to how he only
has six field goals six field goal attempts in the game.
What are we doing?

Speaker 5 (17:20):
He's saving those from later tonight, Mike, Yeah, tell you what?

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Yeah, I mean, where's the club in Dallas, right?

Speaker 4 (17:26):
I mean, we know the playing right after.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
You gotta say, you can't expend all that energy during
a game when you're probably going to the club after
and you gotta stay up till at least one two
in the morning. You can't show up and just sit
on the side. People can expect things from you. You
gotta be one of likely Come on, can't You can't
just sit in the corner. Go hey, man, just want
to decompress. Had a tough game tonight. Nah, no, man,
you're yelling swag all over the club and oh yeah,

(17:50):
that's not you.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
Man.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Come on, does he have anybody that hands out like
wristbands to uh private parties or whatever?

Speaker 1 (17:56):
Yet they're handing him out now. Can you see in
the crowd, we're actually handing out the wristbands now here
after the game?

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Here for you. This is for you.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Oh I thought it was a promotion in house for
the Mavericks. Now James has the thing.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
Why is there a picture of a horse hunt? Oh?
I see, I see what's going on? Now now I
get it.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
Now, so again, Mavericks with the huge lead late in
the third quarter, a Clipper's about to go oh and
to three with the answer James Harden, Meanwhile, why are
we saying bet all the time? You know, this Michigan
story is so great. Jim Harbaugh gets suspended for the
last three games of the regular season because of the
school's role in the sign stealing scandal we've been talking

(18:37):
about the last couple of weeks. Michigan has gone to
court tonight to get an injunction or an appeal to
allow him to coach tomorrow against Penn State, biggest game of.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
The year for Michigan.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
So okay, after the news came out today, all Michigan
players all tweeted out the same thing, one word bet.
And I know when it first came out to people,
the boy they're they're pretty confident they're going to win
to or they're telling me to bet on Okay, it's
a bad look, bad look for college athletes, and tell
me to bet. But okay, I mean I guess it's fine,

(19:08):
I'll bet on Michigan. But then when I saw all
the players doing it, it was great because I thought
back to I said, oh, they're bringing back something that
we used to do. And I'm sure you did it
as a kid too, was say the word bet. When
when someone would say something and you would say bet,
like okay, you want to challenge me?

Speaker 4 (19:24):
Watch this?

Speaker 3 (19:25):
Yeah, and you would say, you don't know what you're
talking about. Yep, bet bet, you think so?

Speaker 4 (19:29):
Bet? Bet? And I did, Oh, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
I mean we do that all the time on the
radio now. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
But I but I thin back to like nineteen eighty
three and nineteen four, we would say bet all the time.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Hey, you got, you got? You want to go to
waffle house? Bet? You know? Yeah, Oh you think you
can beat me in Monopoly? Bet? You know. It had
a couple of different meanings right there. I kind of
dig that they're bringing it back.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Wow, Well, that's a lot of investment for the game
of Monopoly. I mean, what was the payoff? Well? Sometimes
did bet?

Speaker 1 (19:56):
You never had a long ass game and you never
bet actual money. I'm a Monopoly games. You never did that
when you were a.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
Kid, No, he saved that for risk.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
I was dying risk and strategic game of global domination.
Now we were playing cards and dice as kids. Well, hey,
we're rolling dice in the alley.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Why don't you skip third and fourth period and show
up and bring that money you got babysitting last weekend?

Speaker 5 (20:21):
Loser gets the needle.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
We were betting on the UH bowling on ABC's Wide
World of Sports. You know, did you get Mark? You're
taking Mark Roth or Anthony?

Speaker 4 (20:34):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
He got all my money on Anthony, and that guy
stuck one in a last frame and I lost it all.
Chris Schenkel was really mad when he was talking about
you think you think I'm kidding.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
With many a Saturday afternoon of a very wild cutting
contingent of folks sitting there watching like he's got rolling
a strike.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
No bet on on a on a bowling events that
were probably taped weeks in advance.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Yeah, but back then you didn't have access. Yeah but
unless you actually called the facility to find out, or
you were on some PBA mailing list, you had no idea.
It was all new to you. I mean, for all
I know, my uncle was robbing me the entire time,
but we had all.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
He probably knew.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
He probably went to the des Moines Classic and then said,
when does his air oh in a month and a half?

Speaker 4 (21:29):
Great, great, gotta make sure. I'd write it down.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Des Moin Classic airing in a month and a half Saturday,
gonna watch it. And then when after Damas specials that
they would put on before to tell.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
The future, now here's a bowling special.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Oh boy, bet bet bet although and then Tom Brady
got involved.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
Yeah, well of course he come on, man, Ever, I
really wish it was though they said bet on us.

this weekend, two quarterbacks are set to make the biggest

(23:17):
start of their individual careers, and the first one one
of the games of the week San Francisco and Jacksonville
brock Purty. If brock Purdy is below average again and
the forty nine Ers lose their fourth straight in the
game in which they get almost everybody back right Deebo
Samuel is back, Trent Williams may come back. It's going

(23:37):
to be the first Bosa Chase game. If they lose
this game, this changes the trajectory of his career and
what the forty nine Ers think of Can we still
win long term with brock Purty or is he someone
who was great until the rest of the league got
a bunch of tape on them and realize now they
know what to do to slow us down because they've
lost games to teams they're not supposed to lose to.

(23:59):
They've lost of teams that are pretty good. If they
lose another one coming off of by a you know
they're playing a pretty good team, but coming off a
bye and being about as healthy as you could expect,
and brock Purty plays bad, this changes the trajectory of
his career and the Niners are gonna think maybe we
do need to go quarterback in the offseason and do
something else, and a month ago, the guy was the MVP, but.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
It could all change after Sunday.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Yeah, I think the biggest thing is the second part
of the statement you made is well, how well does
he play or if he looks absolutely overworked and outmanned
by the Jacksonville defense, which can happen. You know that
other Josh Allen is pretty good. That. Yeah, perhaps there's
a bit of a referendum that goes on and we

(24:42):
start hand ringing, and you can start your campaign for
Sam Darnold showing up on the sideline once again. Forty
six year total. They still are a road favorite in
this one. But yeah, for pretty last few games you
talk about all of the missing components on that offense.
Still Ad McCaffrey, but limited a bit. And now you

(25:06):
get Deebo back, even though really he's only been a
big part of their offense for what a game and
a half, so they weren't scheming up right to get
him involved as it was. Perhaps coming out of the buy.
They get a little bit of that. But there are
my Jacksonville Jaguars who are no slouches.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
The other game, and the guy under the biggest pressure,
biggest individual start of his career is of course Zach Wilson, right,
his standing on the team is very public. Right, Robert
Sola was non committed on his performance his status. This
tells me there's a lot of infighting going on that
maybe one faction wants Zack Wilson to start. Another faction

(25:48):
says you gotta bench him and do it. If he
doesn't play well, he doesn't make it to the end
of this game, and Tim Boyle comes in and plays
for the Jets and they look at something else for
next week. This is it for him. This is for
Zack Wilson. He's been protected for a long time. But
off of this game last week, where it was another
week of look how bad it is, and we're coming

(26:08):
off a bye, and we're at home on a Monday
night and we scored six points against the twenty eighth
rank pass defense in the league. This is it for
Zack Wilson. Either he plays well or there's gonna be
a new quarterback. And I could be by the second
half of this game if they're still if it's a
six to three game, and at which it probably will be,
because look, Aid O'Connell is really good, but this Jets
defense is fantastic. If they did what they did to

(26:30):
Justin Herbert last week, they're gonna do that to Aid
and O'Connell this week. So this is like a six
to three game the Jets can't. It's gonna be something new.
It's gonna be a Mike White situation where hey, Tim
Boyle comes in and let's see what happens, and then
if if it works out, great, guess what he's gonna
be the quarterback next week.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
And that's just how it's gonna go.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Both of these guys are the biggest pressure they've had individually,
not for team wise, gonna look pretty quarterback into the
NFC Championship game last year, but for their careers.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
This is the biggest game of both of these guys.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Dare you dive right past Trevor John Simeon.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
The Hell's wrong with you? Man?

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Opportunity knocks the other guy and we've talked about him
a bunch and could mean stuff for his coach too.
Is that game over in Germany? Indianapolis, the narrow favorite
against the New England Patriots. The referendum on mac Jones
certainly there, but all the rumors swirling about Bill Belichick
being left to do well in early European vacation. Well,

(27:30):
I mean, we already talked about Geno Smith, and since
they're not underdogs this week, you can't make any bold
proclamations having to do with him, so we'll kick that
off to the side. Frostburg hadn't brought that up yet,
so I had to.

Speaker 6 (27:47):
I'm here sweating out this Laker game because Lebron's on
the bench because he banged these with the rant.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
He did, and then he got a very thorough working
over with a therapy gun. They really and then all
of a sudden they had like four guys that got
up and stood around so you couldn't watch the trader.

Speaker 6 (28:07):
The real question, Jason is how the hell did Lebron
get hurt banging knees with Kevin Durant.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Yeah, I know, I know, right, you would think that
would be Durant, right Durant?

Speaker 1 (28:15):
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, it's Lebron.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
Lebron does it?

Speaker 3 (28:22):
You hit the bone man, You didn't have the extra
cushion or anything, and just like you, you ran straight
into it.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
Look, but I'll tell you for these two games, is
that for both teams that that has the quarterback that's
under fire.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
I think it's going to turn out fine for them.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
The forty to look this is this like again, this
is the first Bosa Chase game, and the Niners are
healthy and they're off of by yes, the Jacksonville's off
the bye two, but San Francisco gets.

Speaker 4 (28:48):
Back to where they were.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
They win this game, and the Jets win a very
ugly one against the Raiders, simply because I if it
was that difficult last week with a really really good offence,
here's a rookie quarterback. As much as I like him,
the Jets will find a way to grind it out.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
Like it's in a sixteen to thirteen type way. And
maybe it's Tim Boyle, maybe it's maybe it's not.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
But I think both their teams wind up winning on
Sunday well, and then you've got the other game. We
just need to reference him in teams. That one that's
in the playoff hunt right now would be in Green
Bay Pittsburgh. Two of your favorite quarterbacks, Jordan Love and
Kenny Pickett getting.

Speaker 4 (29:26):
Oh, they're both so good. They're both over.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
Under the thirty nine in that one. Maybe five games
with an over under total under forty this week.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
I thought that was lower than Rutgers Iowa. I thought,
actually that was like twenty six not.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
Possible now, And you know what, we'll all probably at
least tune into that game a little bit to just
see how bad it really is.

Speaker 1 (29:52):

(31:04):
bit of an awkward landing and banging bodies with Kevin Durant,
Lebron James's back out on the court for the Lakers
to start the second quarter.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
So so far, so good. I mean, so far so
good for him being healthy.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Not so much the Lakers, who trail the Suns by
ten early in the second quarter.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
They lost another first quarter straight, nine straight games.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Yea, Luckily the game's not one quarter only? Are they
be Uh, they'd be in the lottery every year.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Oh, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
They may head there eventually.

Speaker 5 (31:34):
Here dude, they're back.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
They're in the tournament.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
Yea, they are on this beautiful floor.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
Just look beautiful floor.

Speaker 6 (31:47):
It really isn't beautiful, No, it's not really ye whoever
designed this needs to resign immediately.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
It's like, let let let that blue looks really good
against the Purple.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
The whole NB in season turner thing was, let's worry
about the stuff that's stupid, Like, let's worry to make
sure that everybody's tweeting all the teams are tweeting out
that it's in season tournament.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
Let's make sure the floor looks good.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Meanwhile, forget about scheduling the games and making it a
real tournament. Just oh, here's a tournament game. What's not
a tournament game, tournament game. Oh, not a tournament game.
Tournament game, not a tournament game, like players are trying
any harder. It's any kind of difference when it's a
tournament game or not a tournament game, like the important
stuff they just said, Yeah, no, we don't need that stuff.

Speaker 4 (32:27):
Let's just do all the cosmetic stuff to make it
look great.

Speaker 5 (32:29):
Let's all be honest here for a second. We still
have no idea how to hell this tournament work.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Oh exactly, I got nothing. I know the end is
in Vegas right beyond that. Yes, yes, I think Anthony Edwards.
I think he was the guy that said, well, how
about you know, you incentivize this by guaranteeing a playoff spot.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
I think this actually goes into summer league. I think that.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
I think, okay, yeah, that's where actually finished in summer league. Okay,
so we'll have more on the night in the NBA.
I said, it looks still a great night in the end.
Just hey, the pageantry of the end season.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
Term, but find your wins, baby.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Let's go on the heels of the big story tonight
in sports, and that's Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh getting
suspended for the rest of the regular season for the
schools investigation in sign stealing scandal. Now he is and
Michigan is in court trying to find some kind of
injunction or appeal that will allow him to coach tomorrow

(33:26):
against Penn State. I don't think it matters whether he's
on the sideline or not. You know, you see the
way that Michigan has galvanized and embraced being the villains. Okay,
you know you want you want to paint us as
bad and cheating. Okay, when this scandal broke, they went
out and played their most complete football game of the year.
And you know what, They've been playing complete football games

(33:47):
for quite a long time. Michigan is better than they
were last year. Penn State's a little bit better than
they were last year. Michigan is better than they were
a year ago. This is the best team Jim Harbaugh
has had. I can't see this being anything but Michigan
winning this game. Their defense is just terrific. Right they
have up thirteen points last week? WHOA someone hit double

(34:07):
digits against US. It's okay. They're loaded and Penn State's
offense is not. It's not that Penn State's coming in
with an offense that can put a whole bunch of
points on the board against this team.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
They can't. It'll be a.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Slow grind of the game, but it'll be one of
those games where Michigan eventually pulls away, kind of like
what we've seen so far the regular season. It'll be
a Jj McCarthy Heisman like game because he'll be the playmaker.
Penn State will sell out to stop Michigan from running
the football and Blake Corn from going all over the place.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
McCarthy will make enough plays.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
They will play confident, they will play nasty, they will
play with an edge, and Michigan wins this football game
tomorrow over Penn State.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
Michigan versus everybody, the thing that you take away from this.
The suspension was announced, and obviously we get into legal wranglings.
The line didn't move, Jason, the line didn't move right.
It was at four and a half. It's stated for that,
So I think that's something you take from it. Of all, right, well,

(35:06):
Harbaugh is a great influence and a powerful figure whatever.
I mean, the work is baked in at this point.
The players go out and execute. You might have a
couple of situations in game to where suddenly there's a
bit of a you know, let's think about past instances
and the calls Harball would have made.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
Whatever.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
But you've got a team that's ready, and as you
pointed out, just from a straight statistics standpoint, they can
match Penn State defensively and the offense is much better.
And that takes nothing away from the beatdowns that they've
administered Penn State.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
That is to some of the also.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
Rans, including the you know, the Iowa hawkas who are
we know. Defensively they get it done and the offense, well,
not so much. But look looking at Michigan here, this
is one that you want to tune in early because
I can't wait to see the aggressiveness with the play
calling out of the gate to try to make a statement.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Do you think they'll have like four guys on the
sidelines dressed up like Connor Stallin's making it look like
they're stealing signs.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
Will it be like the Rutgers eminem looking guys from
last week. That's pretty good.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
Yeah, maybe it's instead of Michigan.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
It's all people that have people dressed up as like
they're from other schools and they're scouting. And then here's
a guy in Rutgers outfit. Here's a guy in a
Maryland outfit, guy in Michigan state outfit.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Here's a bunch of guys dressed like they came over
from Wrexham. I mean, whatever the case is, whatever's gonna work.
Hey there's coach Beard. You know you have some fun
with it. And if you're Michigan, yeah, I lean fully in.
Like the aggressiveness of the statements going out and down
without a fight, and the pregame tomorrow is gonna be gold.

Speaker 6 (36:54):
His punishment Jason, real quick, it should be. He'd have
He's just have to watch the Jets for three weeks.

Speaker 1 (36:59):
You know that you're so predictable because I knew that's
exactly what you were going to say, although that is
a pretty big punishment, I gotta say.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
We have more big.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
Stuff out of the NFL and the latest on the
Michigan scandal.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
Keep it right here, Jason and Mike. This is Fox
