Now, wasn't that nice? I could have I could have
been now, I was nice. I could have been Draymond
Green and you could have been Rudy Gobert. I could
have grabbed you around the neck to do no. But
I was nice. I could have been the other way.
But I don't want a five game suspension. Now I
turned the other cheek. I did the right thing.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
It would have cost you seven hundred and sixty seven
thousand dollars in your house next to JJ Abrams.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Yes, a big night in the NBA tonight for myself,
Mike Harmon, Justin Frossberg and Alex Tyser.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
Wonderful, wonderful broadcast we.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Have going on here.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
But first of all, hey, I mean really everybody needs
to know the Knicks one one sixteen, one fourteen.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
Here come the Nigs. Look at this, we're over five
hundred Nicks Nicks.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Wait, wait the riddle me. This is it a playoff
game to night? I mean no, it's not in season
tournament or not.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Now the Lakers are starting, and is that that's not
a playing game?

Speaker 4 (05:18):
So I expect them They're gonna play every game like
it is.

Speaker 6 (05:21):
They're gonna get blown out tonight.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yeah, they're gonna think Sacramento is gonna kill them tonight
because it's not a play. It's not a player Hey,
come on, man, it's in season tournament. We got to
really get.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Out of a back to back, and everybody's playing, what
the hell is going on here?

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Bron No, No, you kidding. Watch what happens to tip off.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
They're gonna they're gonna walk out and go, wait, why
isn't the floor said, Oh, because it's not. Yeah, no,
we're all sitting out tonight. We're all say Austin Reeves
is back in the starting lineup. Just just watch what happens.

Speaker 6 (05:45):
They're actually don't.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
I gotta see the I gotta see the experiment.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
I gotta see the floor stripe on the court. Then
they can't play.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
They're out, but they're playing.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
Listen, they don't know it's not a game. And can
you just put a stripe.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Of paint, a stripe of purple paint just right down
the middle and don't reference it and they'll think that
it's a playing game and the Lakers will want to
play so they can win this title. Telling you, man
if the Lakers win the playing title, and right now
they're the number one seed overall in the play in tournament.
If they win that, you're not gonna see Lebron and
ad for the rest of the regular season. Man, they'll

(06:21):
come back the day before the playoffs say okay, we're rested,
we're ready. You're never gonna see them, and they're gonna say,
we want a championship. One's a parade now, now good,
We're taking December.

Speaker 7 (06:31):
January, February, March, April. There's gonna be pictures of us
at Turks and Caicos. We're gonna be on ships, on
yachts to it all. You'll never see them.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
Until they'll be on the bench smoking cigars.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
They're not gonna be around the team. You kidding with
all that time they're gonna take off. They're a go
round for You're not gonna see them. It just be
stuff on social media for them, that's all.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
It's gonna be Operation shutdown. Hey, guys, can't wait to
see what you do in this big game against the Rockets.
As he affixes a norkle to his head.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Pluck guys, good luck. Want to say, guys, I'm with
you in spirit. He said, they send videos to the
locker room. Hey, guys, Lebron and A D said a video.
Where are they this time?

Speaker 5 (07:10):
I don't know Greenland, Iceland. I don't know here they are.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
Just say the salt water is really good for me.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Here they're all just lounging. They're lounging on the deck. Hey, guys,
go get them.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
I don't know if you're playing now, because the time
difference here and there is I can't keep it straight.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
But good luck, good luck tonight against the hang On Kings.
Kings tonight, Kings. Very good. There we go. Okay, good,
thank you very much.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
That's playing hockey tonight, guys.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Uh so that game Sacramento in LA is about six
minutes away. And meanwhile, as as remember the Knicks one.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
But the big NBA news of the night came down
about an hour and a half ago.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Because of this last night, Draymond Green will now be
sitting out for not one, not two, not three, not four,
but five.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Games in the NBA season. Take a listen.

Speaker 8 (08:00):
On a straightaway three it's off the front rim no
and the rebound of Draymond Green and did not have
old Jade McDaniels and Play Thompson are throwing punches at
one another. They got to be separated. Now someone's got
Rudy in a headlock. It's Draymond. Someone get that dude
in a headlock. Two teams have to be separated. Jaden
is hot. Rudy got tackled to the floor somehow, Draymond

(08:22):
just got Rudy around the neck from behind. Well, if
he couldn't hate Draymond Green anymore, just add this to
the list.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
There it is Wolves Radio Network on the call.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
If you learn from at the feet of Kevin Harlan.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
Uh, it was drunk.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
It was a big frak It's before the first points
of the game were even scored. It was Klay Thompson
and Jaden McDaniels, who both got ejected, get into it first.
Then we watched Rudy Gobert try to get in the
middle and try to break it up, and before he
could do anything, Draymond Green jumps in from behind, flies
in the fastest I've seen Draymond move. I think in
five years he hasn't moved to the hoop faster. Then
he moved to Rudy gober good move grabbed him with

(09:01):
a with a headlock behind behind his neck. You've probably
seen the video, drags him off, and we said it
last night, this is gonna be a big suspension because
Draymond Green was out of control on the court.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
It's what it is.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
He was out of control. There's nothing you can say.
You want to get in the middle because you don't
like that Gobert. Is that Okay, I get it, But
you just grab a guy from behind, it's dangerous man, and.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
You're out of control.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
And it was gonna be a long suspension and he
got five games today. For the explanation from NBA executive
vice president Joe Dumars, he was suspended four quote forcibly
grabbing Rudy Gobert around the neck, escalating an on court altercation,
and grabbing Gobert in an unsportsmanlike and dangerous manner.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
Now I like that.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
They said it's an unsportsmanlike manner, which you like. There
was a sportsman like way you could grab him in
a fight. Ah, this is kind of a sportsman like.
So we're gonna leave that part out of it. Just
talk about the danger now, but this was unsportsman like
how you grabbed Rudy Gobert.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Well, it's a good statement, man, it gets it all.
And there are other other than you know, cutting to
the chase and saying for being an idiot. I think
they really covered it well. Could have saved themselves some
ink in terms of how they phrased it. But you know,
five seemed light to me, really did. And we we

(10:16):
got guys that get suspended, you know, a game or
two here and there for far less than what we
saw there. I mean that was that was a full
on waiting for the referee to come over and you know,
lift the arm three times to change the the heavyweight title.
I mean that was full on MMA or WWE kind

(10:37):
of stuff going on. And five games. Yeah, it's what
seven hundred and sixty seven or thereabouts, I think was
the estimate of how much money he's gonna lose. I
think he got off light. Considering the history of what
you've got with Draymond Green, this is one where normally
it's the well, you've got a cumulative effect. Did they
just take this as an isolated incident? Now?

Speaker 1 (10:59):
You know, see I see opposite. I see I see
it different from you. I see it as it's the
beginning of the season.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
And maybe because it's an n season tournament game, things
were different. We go different.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Well, we knew it was gonna be a little more
intense because it was an in season tournament game.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
I'm thinking twenty games, yeah, but it was an in
season tournament games. Oh, five games, five games No. I
kind of see this as a pretty good message because
it's early in the season and saying it needed to
be a long suspension. I expected the NBA to say, oh,
we don't want to take on Draymond Green, and it
would be a one or two game deal, and that's
what they would do because it's so early in the season.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
But here they are right off the bat, five games.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
I think that gets everybody's attention. I think this five
game suspension will hopefully get his attention. They also said
the reason for the five games is because of his history,
which he's had four other times where he's been suspended
in his career in the last seven years. So every
other year you get a suspension for him, basically, but
now we're talking about three in the last calendar year.

Speaker 5 (12:00):
So yeah, the next one for Draymond Green is gonna
be ten.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Games, maybe more, maybe twelve or fifteen it's gonna be
a bigger deal. I actually I actually was okay with
it five games. I thought, huh, that's pretty good. That's
an attention. It seemed right to me when it came
out for five games.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
You know, one of the things, you know, you make
your notes for the show and talking it out. I
did write, and you know, was there a consideration that
none of his teammates tried to help him so it
was a less egregious act?

Speaker 5 (12:27):
Well, I don't bet.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Then it looked you can't blame a guy because, hey,
he's not well liked on the team, so wow, we
don't have anybody going to help him. You can't blame
a guy for that. Hey, if you had just made
more friends, maybe this would have been easier.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Hey.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I bet Rudy Gobert. He doesn't thank the crew after
every game. He doesn't get on social media and thank everybody. Hey,
great game tonight, guys, thank you, thank you, Karl Anthony Downs,
thank you, thank you. I bet he doesn't do that.
Thank you Wally Serbiak for all you've done for the
Timberwolves franchise. He doesn't do that.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
I bet I did appreciate his post game yesterday and going.
Notice he tried get himself kicked out because Steph wasn't playing. Yeah,
it's like it's like these guys want to play without Steph.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yeah, it's like he's gotten kicked out again. Like the
last seven times Steph Curry has missed a game.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
He's gotten kicked out of six of them.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Like, Yeah, I don't want to stay around for very
long either, So I'm good. I'm gonna leave.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Well, Steph's still chord sided. It's not like you guys
are going out to dinner together.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Just just hang I'll shower, I'll change, I'll be ready
to go right after the game.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
Right the vial buzzer sounds, I'll have the car gassed
up and I will be ready to go tonight.

(15:27):
not an in season tournament game for the Lakers.

Speaker 5 (15:29):
They're already down ten midway through. Oh you know, they
don't care, man, They just don't care.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
Now, they all they have been horribly slow starters all
season long. Yeah, but this is also won one first
quarter all year. But it's not tournament. They don't care.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
They don't get they need they need, they need that
introduice that the in season tournament provides. But I'm gonna
give my credit, buddy.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
Yeah, second night of a back to back. Would you
in years past would you have expected to see Lebron
James and or Anthony Davis on the court.

Speaker 5 (16:00):
No, No, that is true. I mean, wait, man, they
showed up.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
I'm only thinking Ron thinks this is still in game
because last there's got to be.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
One tonight yeah.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
I mean, once you get into that mode, you're you're
until they give you a trophy or you see someone
else crowned with the trophy. I guess you probably just
stay in that mode.

Speaker 5 (16:19):
Yes, A right, But I mean but look, no surprise.
They looked listless.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
They're not even trying they like, I mean, look, it's
not an nd season tournament game.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
Man, worst idea of the NBA had.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Look at teams lying down when there's not when they're
not playing for those big in season tournament stakes league games.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
Smoking down tonight. Look at this.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
I mean, look, Philadelphia lost to Boston by ten. I mean,
come on, man, Toronto lost in Milwaukee by sixteen.

Speaker 5 (16:43):
Ye hey, look at this. Look at this stuff. It's crazy.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
I will say this, I do appreciate the fact that
more and more guys in the league are wearing T
shirts under their jerseys like they're a bunch of slow,
out of shape journeyman guys on the the hard tops,
uh you know, and and on the blacktops running around
the parks of you know, southern California.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
Well, I always liked that.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
You know, It's too bad they had that rule for
you know, for so long, because I always liked the
shirt under the jersey.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
It's like, I kind of like the shirt under the jersey.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
I look like that well, but I mean, look, most
of us have no business wearing basketball jerseys.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
True.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
I mean, listen, if you're an adult male, you gotta
stop wearing basketball jersey. I mean, once you're once, you're
once you're even a senior in college.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
The rules.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Once you become like an upper classman in college, you
gotta stop wearing jerseys. You stop wearing basketball.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Oh no, see, I'm okay with jerseys. You gotta have
the T shirt on underneath.

Speaker 6 (17:40):
Because you don't look one smith.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
Just wear the T shirt, you know.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
I remember the first time seeing Patrick Ewing as a
nick and I'm like, wow, look out Builty because he
always would have the gray T shirt, the tight gray
T shirt on for Georgetown.

Speaker 5 (17:55):
Like wow, Patrick, you look out Jackie's. He looks so different.
He's not wearing the T shirt anymore. First time, I
kind of like the T shirt's a good look. It
feels pretty good.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
I mean I wouldn't wear it because you wouldn't be
able to see my triceps and and that that's something
I really want out there.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
I mean, unless I could get.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
You could if you could sell a T shirt that
that would say, hey, you know, instead of hiding your belly,
you know, or this or that, we hide your belly
or the fit through the chest. Now, how about give
me a T shirt that acsenuates your triceps that I'll
go buy a bundle of those instead of those fresh
clean tea things that keep coming to my Facebook feed
every eight seconds.

Speaker 5 (18:28):
They change the name.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
They're fresh clean t's now they're fresher cleaner t's now
they're big tja whatever.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
Instead of getting that, No, I'll buy like eight or
ten of them.

Speaker 6 (18:35):
Just get make Jason, you know why those keep popping
up in your feet? Right?

Speaker 4 (18:40):
I don't click on them, so I don't know offset
the McDonald's heads a lot of McDonald's.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Man, Hey, the McRib is back. You know they brought
the McRib back.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
Isn't really that?

Speaker 1 (18:54):
It's back? When I shove a big McRib down tyshirt's
throat tomorrow night, yeah, bud boy, it's gonna happen. Oh yeah, yeah, that's.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Like Drey mind Green joking out. Rudy Gobert man that
grand tyshirt from behind.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
Start choking, goes, Jay, what are you doing? And I
just shoved that big rib in his mouth and go
now eat it, and I close his mouth. To make it.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
Edited. This is going to be edited and bleeped out
to make it sense.

Speaker 6 (19:23):
The students are listening. What are you doing.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
That's right, Rob Parker, students are listening.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
They're fine. They're they're they're they're fine. They're they like
hot takes.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
It's you're thinking of the children like you wanted of
to yesterday with children.

Speaker 5 (19:36):
What about the children? Think about the children?

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Uh So, Lakers down thirteen to the Kings early in
the first quarter. Again, it's not an n season tournament game.
Big injury, huge injury in the NFL. Take took a
lot of people by surprise. U Deshaun Watson is done
for the season. The Brown's quarterback needs shoulder surgery. He
is out for the rest of this year. He says

(20:01):
he is in disbelief, still trying to process all the information.
It is a fracture in his throwing shoulder and he's
going to undergo season ending surgery. He had an MRI
yesterday that revealed the issue and now the Browns are
gonna have to go forward with out there. The top
running back in the NFL, and now they're starting quarterback
and things are gonna get a little weird. Now before

(20:23):
we get into a big takeaway from this is that
you know, watching this game on Sunday, and I don't
know the play it happened, but I will tell you
the play it had happened.

Speaker 5 (20:31):
By okay, So watching the first half.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
The Browns looked terrible, right, I mean, this is I
thought this was gonna be the The Ravens are gonna
win this game by like by thirty points easy. And
the Browns had the ball around the forty yard line
of the Ravens and Deshaun Watson was in the shotgun
and he got rushed. He kind of stepped up in
the pocket and he threw it down the sideline to

(20:56):
Amari Cooper and it wound up going falling in complete
it like the five yard line, and he threw it
up and it was like, I'm putting everything I have
into this throw and it goes thirty yards and it just.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Kind of went down. And I said to myself, then,
something weird.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
I go, boy, if you looked like it was everything
he could do to throw that football on that play,
it looked like everything he could do to throw the
ball thirty yards and it was just not on the line,
not on a rope, just I'm chucking it up in
the air and I'm watching it come down. So I
so I'll tell you what, guarantee you he was hurt
by that play, which was sometime in the second quarter.
He was already hurt by that because you just watch

(21:32):
it and go, that doesn't look like the Sean Watson's
got a big arm.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
You know, guys, guys throw the ball. To throw the
ball thirty yards.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
At the I'm saying to myself, that looked like Tom
Brady near the end in a cold weather playoff game
or all he could do was throw the ball thirty yards.
So I can guarantee you by the middle of the
second quarter, Yeah, that's what he was hurt by then.
And if I could find that exact play, if I
go back to the All twenty two or NFL network
who has it, I will get it tweeted out because
I guarantee you by that play he was already hurt.

Speaker 4 (21:59):
Yeah, we'll go back to the Suppruter film and break
it down. Obviously, you know, we had concerns for the
throwing motion going back to the beginning of the season
right where he didn't look quite right. So it's the
not quite the Hollywood Hey here I am, you know,
pretending to be a quarterback throwing a pass, but the

(22:20):
follow through, the velocity, all of that had been problematic
for much much of his start start time this year.
So when he had the what perfect fourteen for fourteen
to roll things out and they get a dramatic win, like, wow,
all right, we got something paired with that defense finally

(22:41):
to Shaun Watson that we'd been looking for. But again,
you'd had a number of injuries that we'd already known about,
all the slap fighting that went on in social media
about desire to play, and all that stuff still resonated.
Because that popped up immediately. It's like, see, I told
you hurt. It's like nobody doubted that he had some issues.

(23:05):
Now some of the reports Jason were saying another hit
there basically disintegrates his shoulder. That was a whole other
world's Like, I don't know what that medical term is,
but I would say it's operation shutdown. Once we get
to that point and you start looking at surgical procedures
to get yourself right. But certainly a big blow to
a team that really the defense had done such a

(23:28):
good job of pacing things. They'd overcome the loss of
Chubb with Jerome Ford and several other running backs helping
to stay the course. And now you have to navigate
the rest of the season and the return of DTR.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Oh and people now understanding that DTR is no longer
the quarterback for UCLA.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
He is in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
But he played the game early. It doesn't matter. He
went back to college. Now he's back from UCLA. He's
gonna start on Sunday for the Browns.

Speaker 5 (23:57):
But look, here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
People would care about rival rivalry week more if if
DTR was still there for an eighth year or whatever.
This is a tough week for us UCLA. Man, This
is a tough I know, I know that should be
five seventy earlier, and that is something that we keep
raising our eye. Rather nobody cares. They're out of the picture.

Speaker 5 (24:20):
This guy might get fired.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
But I digress. Yeah, DTR back under center. Remember, you
know a couple of weeks ago as well. It's not
preseason kind of stuff when it came to DTR. And
remember Josh Dobbs used to beat the quarterback there.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Oh boy, those were the days right when I had
Josh Dobbs at the beginning of the season, could have
had Josh Dobbs. Now Josh Doobbs is gonna get twenty
million dollars a year for the Vikings.

Speaker 5 (24:42):
No, here's where I can have a thought.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
What a strange world it is, isn't it?

Speaker 5 (24:46):
I can.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
I can give you a big sunny side up for Cleveland,
and and in doing so, it just pisses me off
because it just again shows me how bad the Jets are.

Speaker 5 (24:56):
I know that things look really awful right now.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
You know, I've seen all kinds of stuff today, Brown's
insiders talking about a cursed franchise as they've lost Nick Chubb.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
Now they lost their quarterback. How can they do it?
I got news for you. The Browns are gonna be
fine because they do have the best defense in the NFL.
It's better than the Jets, It's better than the forty
nine ers. This is the best. They they shut everybody down.
They have a good head coach who is going to
be able to maneuver around this.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
And you lose Nick Chubb, okay, you find Jerome Ford
and suddenly the combination of him and Kareem Hunt.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
It's great.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Right, you got Jerome Ford, who was more of a
breakaway threat as good as Nick Chubb is. Nick Chubb
even into this year was kind of a hey, he's
a four yard to carry guy.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
Right.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Where was where was the big breakaway? Where where was
the big dynamic plays that weren't that many. But they
actually found a running game now that works, whether it's
Kareem Hunt out of the backfield, Jerome Ford, and they
will find a way past this as well. The Browns
are well coached, they have a good and they've played
without Deshaun Watson before, they played without him playing well,

(26:06):
they've played with this defense. The Browns are gonna find
a way to be just fine. They're not gonna go
in the tank and suddenly every week it's gonna be
like the Jets and Zach Wilson. No, they're gonna be okay,
And I'm just gonna be pissed because I'm gonna go
They're in the same bleeping situation as the Jets. The
Jets can't score any points and they decided they picked
the quarterback they wanted in the backup of Aaron Rodgers

(26:27):
where the Browns like that, We're just got guys coming
to us that we haven't No, no, we picked this
guy to be our guy. Now we're not making any
changes and we're gonna cut a running back instead, and
everything's gonna This is just gonna upset me more than
I'm gonna watch the Browns continue to win and stay
in the hunt. Not they're gonna suddenly go and win
twelve games in a row, but they're still going to
be good enough because even earlier this year, when Deshaun

(26:48):
Watson was awful, because he was awful, he finally played
a good half of football in his final half of
the game against the Ravens on Sunday. Even when he
was bad, the Browns found a way to win. I'm
telling you the Browns are gonna be fine of the season.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
Yeah, I'm looking at the schedule as you go forward.
I mean, you got a big AFC North battle this
week against the Steelers. Browns. Even after this information, Jason
still a narrow half point or full point favorite, depending
on where you're looking over under for that game thirty.

Speaker 5 (27:17):
Two and a half. Oh are they playing Iowa? If
the as well?

Speaker 4 (27:22):
I mean Pittsburgh, You know, because of the uniform colors
kind of substitutes for Iowa.

Speaker 5 (27:26):
And Okay, I mean, but look look at the rest
of their games. Right.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
They have Pittsburgh who can't score already, Right, so that's
good that that could be a game they win. They're
at Denver, their defense can shut down Denver.

Speaker 5 (27:38):
They play the Ramps. Who knows who the quarterback is
going to.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Be for the Rams by then they have the Jaguars,
who are struggling a little bit.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
You have the Bears, you have the Jets.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
You have a lot of games that are winnable, and
they're gonna be a team at six and three, Hey
to have to deal with this injury. Now, they'll still
be a team that's one or two games over five
hundred down the stretch, they'll be playing for the playoffs.
And and and that that's that's just the way this
team has been made up. And and and finally I
get that they're upset, and it's all look at the

(28:07):
whole season going out. But I'm telling you, man, the
Browns are gonna be fine in this They're gonna be
absolutely fine.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Oh it's it's gonna be a miserable slug along the way.
I mean, I'm not saying.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
I'm not saying the games are gonna be fun and
they're gonna be thirty one to thirty barn Burners and staid.
You got to get used to twelve ten games. So
but a wins win at the end, right, and you're
having fun and you're no, that's it. Looking at the playoffs,
that mat just matters. Get that w at the end.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
That's all a matter, now exactly. It's not about style points.
But yeah, you look at the slate of games they've
got left other than I suppose the season ender against
the Bengals, everything else, you go, well, they can win
each one of those games. Yeah, I mean their friend
even with a fully compromised Dolphense maybe even even as

(28:54):
standing yet Ford and Hunt obviously out of the backfield.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
But it's been hardy Cooper.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
And let's see what else happens in the passing game, now,
shall we? And still here you are. The defense has
been carrying the day. They'll be expected to for the
final slaty games.

apparently lost his team's locker room. No, and it's not
Zach Wilson. Stop, it's not Zachy yet, not the shoe
of sorry, I should say it's not Zach Wilson yet.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
I should say not Zach.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
Wilson yet or publicly yet.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
But a couple of reports out of Boston have that
mac Jones has lost the locker room. I several members
of the organization have lost faith in him after he
was benched during a Week five lost in New Orleans,
of course, throwing the big pick.

Speaker 5 (31:13):
He got benched the end of last game.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Uh, this has been a thing for the last few weeks,
and now you are seeing potentially he has lost the
locker room. Andrew Callahan Boston Herald had this bit earlier
today that got picked up by a lot.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
Of different entities.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
Now, the first thing I want to say is this,
my Carmen. I want to be fair. You know me,
I'm nothing, but I'm nothing but fair.

Speaker 5 (31:34):
Right. I am absolutely fair, straight down the middle. I
am absolutely fair. So let me let me say this,
but I thought he was Tom Brady. Everybody told me
he was Tom Brady. He was Tom Brady reincarnated.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
Are you doing.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
Right now? No? No, no.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Rob Parkin never said that because Rob Parker doesn't like
Tom Brady. He would say, Josh. But Mac mac Jones
he was doing stuff better than Brady when he was
a rookie, he was always so incredible.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
He was so good.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
But you know what, we have new information in more
games now doesn't No, no, But in the moment, look,
you do the show, after a game, finishes, after a sequence,
after a season. His rookie year, he was pretty good.
So when you're comparing him to early returns from Brady
or other rookie quarterbacks, yeah, you might have had favorable

(32:29):
responses this. Those things diverted.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
They were saying Brady, he was He was better than
Brady in the preseason, before he even played a game.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
Look at what he's doing.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
He's never Tom Brady never had a seven on seven
drill like this when he was a rookie.

Speaker 5 (32:44):
Back in two thousand. That never happened. Look at what
mac Jones was doing.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Yes, because no team has ever tried to hype a guy,
Sam Sam, Sam, Zach Zach Zach or anything before they'd
taken a snap as the greatest next thing. Come on, man,
mac Joe.

Speaker 5 (32:59):
Mac Jones was okay as a rookie.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
He was okay. He had a he had a He
had an okay rookie season. He did not set any records.
He was not unbelievable. He was okay as a rookie.
And he has stunk worse every season.

Speaker 4 (33:14):
Sales announce and now he's you're drifting towards comic book guy.

Speaker 5 (33:20):
He was not.

Speaker 4 (33:22):
He didn't happen.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
I have a picture of Tom Brady signed by mac Jones.
It's worth exactly one hundred and fifty dollars. Thank you
very much. Look, mac Jones. Look, and now to take
it away from mac Jones now, because you know, sometimes
you can say it's not mac Jones' fault these things.
I know he did get hyped up, but he was
Tom Brady.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
This is yet another bit of an indictment on Bill Belichick.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Because this is en this is Bill Belichick missing on
a quarterback. And if you're going to talk about how
the Jets missed on Zach Wilson and other teams miss
on their quarterbacks. This is another bit on Bill Belichick
because not only has he missed on Mac Jones, they
haven't been able to build off that rookie season where
he was just okay. All last year he was at odds,

(34:10):
didn't know what was going on, called up people, can
you give me a hand? I need help here. I
don't know what's going on going into this year. No,
I'm going back to be an Alabama Mac.

Speaker 5 (34:17):
I'm going to be this.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
He has never gotten on the same page with Belichick.
Belichick has never talked about him as being the guy
he believed in for when he had an.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
Okay rookie season. Okay, maybe you can.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Build with this guy. He certainly showed he may have
the skills. It's been nothing but downhill since then. And
this is on Belichick, who did not who did not
groom this quarterback after he had a pretty decent rookie year,
And now you're looking at two years have gone by,
the team is in way worse shape and you're gonna
be starting over a quarterback. He may be starting over

(34:47):
quarterback next week because Mac Jones might not even be starting.
So this is another reason why, Hey, you know Belichick,
this is why he's gonna be out. We told you
he was going to be out in the summer because
we knew this is good to be a tire fire
of a season for the Patriots. And when I look
back and I look at mac Jones and I go,
he is just completely.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
Mismaned back and I'm back to thinking, did we all
overrate Bill Belichick so much? We talked him as the
greatest head coach ever?

Speaker 1 (35:16):
He's either completely overrated or he is sabotaging the Patriots
on purpose. One of these two things is happening Mike Harmon,
and I don't know which one it is.

Speaker 5 (35:26):
I'm not afraid to say. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Either he was so overrated because look at what he's
doing here, or he's doing this on purpose because he
doesn't want anybody to win. If he's not gonna win,
nobody gets to win, the team, the fans, the media,
nobody gets to win.

Speaker 5 (35:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
I think what we need to do is put up
a poll question one with those is the options. This
secret option to see is he is one of the
worst gms that we've seen in recent memory when it
comes to actually picking the groceries, and he's done fairly
well defensively, but they can only carry you so much,

(36:00):
right if you're not getting at least adequate work from
your offense. I mean, second to last in the league,
behind the Tommy DeVito led New York Giants, just ahead
of them in terms of points scored per give, your
Jets are right down there with him, but it's the
idea that you've got no semblance of consistency in your offense, right.

(36:21):
Romandre Stevenson flashes now and again, But you went out
and spent a lot of money on tight ends, wide receivers.
Remember that in the money they spent on Nelson Aguilar.
I mean that was the we sent the flare up
into the sky that day, going what the hell happened here?
And then so many guys thereafter where it's been a disaster.
You had a couple of injuries to your defense. Gonzales

(36:42):
looked like he was going to become a player pretty
quickly as a rookie. He goes down. You're giving up
nearly twenty four points per game. So the side of
the ball, you know, much like Brandon Staley and some others,
that you're supposed to be getting the job done as
the defensive guy.

Speaker 5 (36:57):
Well, guess what.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
That part's failing too, And the guys you're bringing in
to bring Mac Jones and this band of merriment along
on the offense is failed time and time again. So yeah,
it's tough. The tanking to screw Robert kraftangle is pretty good, though,
that's new.

Speaker 5 (37:14):
I don't know I'm at that out. I mean, it's
a toss up for me.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Either he's really really overrated and we've been overrating him
for two decades, or he's doing it on purpose.

Speaker 5 (37:23):
I mean, I don't know what it is. That's what
I about. A Fresco swollen dome.

Speaker 1 (37:27):

involving a different quarterback, Fox
