Bernie Fratto in with us this evening on this fantastic voyage,

(01:32):
and you know, all the talk of the Lakers are back.
It's goed Bernie. Because it's a non tournament game.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
They lose, bactor reality, no NBA cut for you.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Oh wait, it's not a tournament, not a tournament game.
But not a tournament game. Hey, no, that's what they did.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
You should do now to try to fool them, and
just it's a regular court. Wait wait, I thought we
had the freaky courts.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Man.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Those were the tournament games. Because they came out and
played flat. It's like, no, no, no, that was the
tournament game. You lose, you lose, you get nothing.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Uh, nicely done, mister walkin.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
The celebrating the great Gene Wilder all these years later,
by the.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Way, real quickly not to go down this round. You're
gonna see the Walker movie. It comes out in a
couple of weeks.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
It's Timothy shallow Man. My kids will drag me there.
I'm sure my friend celebrate it all, you know. I
I the rich tapestry of life. I think my rewards
card and they're not a sponsor, so they get no
mention from me. Uh will be I'll be using up
every opportunity to go to the theaters this weekend. Bunch
of movies that I haven't had a chance to see

(02:36):
just yet. My younger daughter went and saw the new
Hunger Games movie. She thought it was fantastic soul right, yeah,
so I've I've got that one and that I need
to get into a little bit.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
And there there's a couple others. The uh Wakidi movie
that came out, uh, you know, Next Goal Wins uh
going back a little uh comedy in the world of soccer.
So that's certainly on the radar, and a few others,
no question. I don't have the list in front of
me now. I'm sure my dance card is full as
well as whatever else has come out in the streaming

(03:09):
services that they've got me subscribed to. And you all did.
You all started nodding, going yep, that damn streaming service? One, two, four?
How many you got? Hold up those hands. You're like
King Kong Bundi with a five count. I would be
remiss because we do celebrate anniversaries here on the show
a lot, Bernie. I was just showing to tyshirt. Today

(03:31):
is the anniversary of the arrival on the scene of
the Undertaker at Survivor Series in nineteen ninety.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Wow. There you have it now past the goalie there.
I would not have known that.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Well, I add value because he was introduced to the
ring by the million dollar man, Ted Dbassi.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Oh I love Ted dvas.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
So whenever we can celebrate that. You know, his son
got in some trouble preaching and you know, really dipping
into the the coffers as it were. But you can
read about all that all the interwebs, no question about it. Tomorrow,
big day across America, as we talk about the pause
for a lot of folks, for those that are working
and getting things ready for the big Black Friday sales,

(04:14):
maybe putting in some extra hours. We're with you, we
celebrate you. We'll have you covered here on Fox Sports Radio.
Twenty four to seven. It never stops with the opinions,
some good, some bad, and some hot take nonsense mixed
therein a lot of pop culture and a lot of laughs.
So keep us tuned in on your iHeartRadio app your
local affiliates four hundred plus nationwide. Thanks to all the pds,

(04:37):
and thanks to all of you who keep us moving
through the season as we get ready for the big
holiday holiday holiday rush. But we've gone through two of
the games on Thanksgiving Day, the last one is an
NFC West Battle teased a head with a little bit
of the brock Purty giant question mark like the Riddler,
whether you like it to be Gorshen or Jim Care

(05:00):
whichever I don't care, or maybe John Aston for those
that remember he does the back in the day before
he was Gomez Adams, or.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Just some high quality what you just did there.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Well, I add value along the way, at least in
my own mind. My kids are always amazed at the
amount of trivia that sits up there, and then they
worry about me. You can't get it.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
I was waiting for you to come up with Eli
Wallack as mister Freeze next.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Nicely done. There you go, we can really go down
a rabbit hole with all the old classic Batman villains.
Get a little Vincent Price's egghead in as we will.
I'm trying to be the egghead here and trying to
read the tea leaves of what happens in this game.
Gino Smith, a little bit banged up, Kenneth Walker the
third was already losing snap count to Zack Charbona in

(05:47):
the backfield as they're trying to figure out that offense
getting it on track. From the passing perspective, Bernie dk
Metcalf had been a pretty unhappy seldom use, seldom connected
to receiver with Gino Smith these last couple of weeks.
A little bit more love this last game, But on
the San Francisco side, you lose your safety for the

(06:10):
year and you're you're looking at back to back wins
after that three game losing streaks. Folks seem to forget
the first game. Brock Perty had a hell of a
drive to put them in field goal range, only to
watch Moody in front of about nine hundred family and
friends miss it from a very makeable distance. But a
loss is a loss, and you wear it as the

(06:31):
quarterback right heavy is the head who wears the crown
too much credit, too much blame. But for Rock Purdy,
I think folks week to week, it's the I don't
know the crypto market two years ago, am I up?

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Great? Well how about tomorrow? Yeah, it's back down that
plus another fifteen percent? How about this? No? And so
that's that's where we're at. I think with Purdy trying
to get these evaluations and valuations, and we keep using
the system quarterback as a pejorative. It's okay, if the
system works, then your quarterback will be good. We've talked

(07:08):
a lot this week about the Jets, which we'll get
to in about fifteen minutes. It's talked a lot about
the Jets, talked a lot about the Steelers. Guess what,
No matter how good your quarterback is, I don't know
how much your system works. The way you're rolling these
guys out and the play calling that has run through
the one thing we know in San Francisco they're going
to move the ball and they've got playmakers to do

(07:29):
it with a competent offense. How good is it? Well,
nobody's going to be able to make their final determination
until they either hoist the Lombardi Trophy or they're sent
home for the season.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
So you bring up a lot of good points about
proc perty and here we always will hear the group
think echo chamber commentary, system quarterback, game manager. Well, here's
a dirtly little secret. Every quarterback is a system quarterback
because you have to function within a system. And every
quarterback is the game manager because you have to manage

(08:03):
the game. The question is how well do you do
it if you really look at the film, And I
got to do a lot of that when I cover
the Lions. I'm in the brock Perty camp. He's made
enough high leverage throws in well placed spots that shows
me that, yes, he's a system quarterback, but he functions
at the highest level in Mike Shanahan's check that Kyle

(08:23):
Shanahan system in the years he's been there, and that
includes anybody who's been under center, including Jimmy g who
won seventy two percent of his games. He is an
extremely high level system quarterback. So you got to give
him that. But my eyes gravitate to the other side
of the ball.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Here.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
The Seahawks are a seven point underdog. I know the
books are gonna need the Seahawks Thursday, and of course
you always want to be on the side of the
books when the balls in the air. But I gotta
defer to you, Mike. You guys, you and Dan Byer
do a great job. I want your flex for the
folks who have Gino Smith. Are you recommending that you
start him Thursday? I understand he's gonna play, Would you

(09:00):
guys recommend he starts?

Speaker 4 (09:01):
No, that's just a tough proposition, short week, banged up,
even in a Marquee matchup where you know, maybe we
get a little bit of chaos mixed there in Bernie,
but certainly, and I appreciate the nod to the Eyewatch
Flex podcast. I'll be doing a live version of the
rankings with Dan and Aaron Torres during their shift tomorrow
here on Fox in the two o'clock Pacific hour. But

(09:24):
nice for me when we look at it, Gino's no
better than a low end QB two for this one.
You may get a little bit of upside. And if
you're doing a daily Fantasy league, is valuation is going
to be lower. Right, if you're doing the one day
contest for Thanksgiving, then then maybe you get a little
bit of value for him there. But against the San
Francisco defense, it's a no fly zone for me. I mean,

(09:48):
there's plenty of better options out there. I'd rather run
out Jordan Love against Detroit.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Right, Okay, so that's a fair and honest.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
You know, Sam Howell against Dallas, all of those keep
on going. Josh against the Bears, you know, in a
big Monday Yeah, Monday night a fair in Minnesota, Chicago.
Let's go more Minnesota in primetime? What the hell were
they thinking? But you go on down now it's relevant.
But you know, preseason, I'm just shaking my head. But

(10:16):
here we are with meaningful football. But all of those
I think are better options. I might even recommend Derek Carr.
That's how little I'm trusting Gino putting up big numbers here.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Okay, that's fair, and you have to take into conversation,
take into account this has a a context. You're talking
about fantasy points.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
And interestingly enough again, I look at the technical factors here,
and I'm hosting the Ben Maller Show tomorrow night. It's
become a Thanksgiving tradition for me, third year in a row.
But Pete Carroll is twenty three and nine against the
numbers a home dog including ten and two if he's
getting more than four points. If this were a playoff game,
believe it or not, Seattle a number six seed and
Niners a number three seed. If the season ended the day,

(10:57):
this would actually be a playoff game between the two teams.
I think you get max Effort. I'm not sure what
you're gonna get out of Geno Smith. I'm ninety nine
percent sure Kenneth Walker doesn't even see the field. A
new star is born every day, so you got UCLA
and erstwhile Michigan running back Zach Charbonnay. But it's gonna
come down to defense, where the runweight, the run rate

(11:17):
stoppage for Seattle is good. With Bobby Wagner, I think
this is gonna be a fistfight in the phone booth.
I've grabbed the seven points. I'll take my lunch. I'll
take my medicine tomorrow night at this time, or eleven
o'clock tomorrow night at this time. If I'm wrong, but
I think this is one of those sneaky, tricky games
where Seattle hangs around by their guyle.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Sports talk radio. You say crazy things.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Nobody's gonna remember.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Or if you say something really crazy or just actually wrong,
you're gonna get a lot of run from it. So
people are going to tune in, like the old Howard
Stern line, I want to see what he's gonna say next.
That's your way towards Tucammaville in this business. Bernie, unfortunately,
don't have the heart to just make stuffup along the way.
Forty four and a half is your total for this one, Seattle,

(12:05):
as you said, getting the touchdown, and yeah, I would
expect max effort. The fact that Walker the third isn't
going to be available, that's a loss. That's a huge
loss for them. And look, Charbon has been out snapping
him in recent games, but that sledge hammer into the
line and still having the burst in the second level,

(12:26):
you know, missing that is huge, particularly against a team
like San Francisco, right because it's a war of attrition
and a lot in the trenches in these games. So
certainly having you know all of those at your dispose,
all those weapons a big deal. They're trying to get
Smith and Jigba involved a little bit more. As we've seen,
Tyler Lockett remains the one, and that's just it. Week

(12:49):
to week with Gino, we've seen some multi touchdown efforts. Again,
owing back to the fantasy line is why I'm going
back to the back end of the QB twos for this,
but twenty four and a half your total Purdy in company, Yeah,
it's it's gonna be a slug fast McCaffrey's one. I'm
curious to see you mentioned Bobby Wagner in the abilliyon

(13:09):
the run. The beauty of it is as a receiver
he can still do an incredible amount of damage.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
And you brought up a good point about Brock Purdy
and regressing to the mean. He threw for three thirty
three and three touchdowns last week, had a perfect QB
rating of one point fifty eight. Can you follow that up?
It's it's almost like you gotta fade that just on principle.
Nothing against Brock Perdy, but again, you're paying a forty
nine ers tax. If you're going to go on the

(13:37):
road in a divisional game against a potential playoff team
and you're laying a full touchdown on a on a
standalone game on a Thursday night, History tells me you're
safer grabbing the points.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Yeah, this is where I get into my well seemingly
weekly rant against the schedule makers again, because we've got
the Seahawks and forty nine Ers rolling up this week,
and then we get one game in between, and for
the Seahawks, that's a road game at Dallas before they
play the forty nine ers again. And as we know

(14:15):
the history as well, you know, normally you play the
forty nine ers, you're a bit beat up and usually
go get housed the next week.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
Right, So the schedule makers did them. No favors there,
But I hate the two times you see a team
in three weeks, particularly the end of the season when
we get into these divisional battles, Bernie, when we're talking
about the division crown maybe up for grabs, just based
on who might have the healthiest lineup, as you see
them twice in three weeks, it's just asinine to me.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
No, it's a good point, and I think, again, whatever
happens Thursday night, this is a standalone event, and you know,
it's easy to be swayed when you look at the
on the face of it, your quarterbacks hurt, your star
running backs hurt, but you in a sense, you almost
got a cornered rat here.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
In that day. You know, Oh, I agree one hundred percent.
I'll take those points.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
And Pete Carroll nobody does the raw raw thing more
for a nationally televised audience better than Pete Carroll, especially
if he can look over and say.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
How you feeling over there? Lincoln? Look at you, Lincoln
right right?

Speaker 6 (15:20):
No?

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Uh well, I mean you brought up rats. I thought
about Pete Carroll because he left, you know, like a
rat off a sinking ship at usc which stuff was
going on? I mean that comes together there you go.
He's Bernie Prattle, had Bernie Prattle in for Jason Smith.
It's me Mike Harmon The Jason Smith Show. Uh here
with me Mike Carmon on Fox Sports Radio. And coming

(15:43):
up next, as we continue our pursuits of the evening,
we'll stay in the NFL a little more. Look see
at the Jets, who we get on Black Friday against
the Dolphins in a highly anticipated AFC He's Battle.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
But first, be sure to catch live editions of The
Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern,
seven pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 5 (16:13):
Hey, what's up everybody.

Speaker 6 (16:14):
It's me, three time pro bowler LeVar Arrington, and I
couldn't be more excited to announce a podcast called Up
on Game?

Speaker 5 (16:21):
What is Up on Game?

Speaker 6 (16:22):
You ass along with my fellow pro bowler TJ. Huschman
Zada and Super Bowl champion Yup, that's right, Plexico Burus.
You can only name a show with that type of
talent on it.

Speaker 5 (16:34):
Up on Game.

Speaker 6 (16:35):
We're going to be sharing our real life experiences loaded
with teachable moments. Listen to Up on Game with Me
LeVar Arrington, TJ. Hutschman, Zada, and Plexico Burrs on the
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcast from.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
They just played a massive show out here in Huntington
Beach on Sunday nights, and we celebrate their entire catalog
to the point where Jason Smith's daughter made Jason a
birthday card of the top fifty songs that he loves
and they were all tears for Fear songs. Well, and

(17:18):
it's the running joke because ty Shirt Wi will fit
this into a show each and every night just to
vex Jason. Right, you get a vibe going and offs
like bam there's Tears for Fears and everybody wants to
rule the world. Mike Carbt, Bernie Fratto with you here,
Fox Sports Radio, The Jason Smith Show with me Mike Harmon.
Do you know at the end of your first year,

(17:39):
Discover credit cards automatically double all the cash back you've earned.
That's right, everything you've earned doubled. Seriously see terms. Check
it out for yourself at Discover dot com slash match.
He's still mad at us for that. By the way,
Bernie and I've gotten a couple of blank you messages
over the course of the week, because well, that card lives,
you know, it festers in the brain a little bit

(18:01):
as you go through. When your guys at work screw
with you just a little bit.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Things can take rude. By the way, Tears that song
is Dennis Miller's all time favorite song.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
See there you go.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Yeah, of course that's just my opinion. I could be wrong. No,
that's actually Dennis Miller's favorite song.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
I got to do some radio with Dennis Miller back
and there you go. Nice sports even so, there you go.
I enjoyed him on Monday Night football. No, I've just
understood what the hell he was doing, but you want
to go and talk about a guy well read and
random references that made you want to go to your thesaurus,
or maybe it didn't and maybe that's why it didn't
last so long. But talk to me like I'm five

(18:41):
is often the refrain I think we get to in
some of these things. And that's exactly what's happening right
now with the Jets as how they talk about Tim
Boyle as he gets ready to play. Because if you're
the leading wide receiver of the New York Football Jets
and Garrett Wilson, you say all the right thing for
the guy you want to feed you the football quote.
He's really precise and he's really on his details. It

(19:04):
all starts with how he preps while he wasn't taking
these reps, while he didn't know he was gonna happen
that week. He's gonna be doing it the same every week,
and all of a sudden, he's starting this weekend. And
for him, it's like I don't have to change anything
because I'm already going about it the right way. How
great is that your leading the receiver just says I
need twelve targets On Friday against the.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Dolphins, special place in heaven for Garrett Wilson. Either that
or he's channeling his inner Bagdad Bob. Look, Zack Wilson
just went forty one, well, forty one possessions were the
offense managed one touchdown. So when that happens, sometimes it
necessitates change. Even though having made that statement, whichhould leave

(19:47):
people incredulous, Zack Wilson still gives him a better chance
to win. Be that as it may, Hello America, say
hello to Tim Boyle. If you don't remember Tim Boyle,
he was zering four as a line starter a three
years ago, not looking good doing it. Frankly, they'll probably
be better off with Tanner Boil from a bad news
bearers to.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
You, But I digress.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Look, he threw one touchdown and thirteen interceptions in his
three years at Connecticut, and he finds himself going up
against the team Miami very much looking for a get
right game. Miami is seven to zero against teams that
are under five hundred. They feast on teams like the Jets,
Miami averaging just under thirty one points a game. The

(20:28):
Jets are averaging right around fifteen points a game. And
that's with Zach Wilson The only thing I can say
is this is going to be one of the weirder
games of the day of the weekend, I believe. Now
the Dolphins have been bet up to minus ten and
you'll never see me lay double digits. But you can
only look to the Dolphins if this is not a

(20:50):
two touchdown win Thursday night, or check that Friday and
our first ever Black Friday, a game which clearly was
designed for Aaron Rodgers and company, best laid planned.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
Well, he'll show up, He'll might be doing color commentary.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
He claims he's going to practice in two weeks. Okay,
I well, I mean.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
Look, it's the season of miracles, It's a season of
good feels and hope, So why not keep putting it
out there, speaking into existence the old LeVar ball. Look,
I still want the documentary. Forget the d season, hard
knocks on the Dolphins, Bernie, give me every bit of
Aaron Rodgers from the scans and the diagnosis, from the

(21:32):
time he left that field to where he is now.
Give me the time lapse photography of how he got
to this point and a true analysis of his injury.
I'm not going the full what was it? Levittard and
company full conspiracy theories, But I got questions when we
you know, and I know we're getting accelerated, and I
know we're getting faster, and guys getting on and cam

(21:53):
Akers got back on the field so quickly a year ago.
All those things I fully understand. But unless Aaron Rodgers
is doing a full Dan Marino and he ain't moving
side to side at all, and he's just winging it,
what the hell are we doing here? And look, maybe
he's the only guy that can unlock the brain of Hackett. Right,

(22:14):
it's a beautiful mind kind of scenario where he's frozen
and all these other things. Go back and watch the movie.
But then you put him in and start talking about
math and the numbers start flowing and everything's great, and
he needs Aaron Rodgers to facilitate that after they built
the roster with the Lazard Cob combination that nobody else
has been able to pick. So maybe maybe that's the

(22:36):
only way Hackett can get undered and back on track,
is if Aaron Rodgers could. Certainly he got him the job.
But yeah, the idea of him getting back on the
field is unbelievable for the Dolphins. I think, you know,
the get right game that you're talking about. I mean
the last time we watched them, they struggled with the Raiders.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Some injuries right here, shan gonna try to go. They're
saying all the right things. Tyreek Hill had left briefly,
but you know, you want to talk about letting a
team hang around and at times being outclassed just by
you know, good old capital e of effort for Antonio
Pierce's squad. I mean you got a little situation where
I think in the meeting rooms I talked about you know,

(23:16):
Tomlin in the don't let him see you sweat demeanor.
He's got in front of the podium with some cool
quips along the way. McDaniel's the same thing. I'm sure
behind the scenes we got him about as fired up
and animated as he possibly could.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Be real quickly. I'm glad you invoked Aaron Rodgers's been
a rough week. He's all up in his fields now.
He says he feels very you know, guilty. Oh yeah,
what happened with him. We're gonna put our arms around Zach.
We love him because he's a great kid, but we
need a spark, so we're gonna go to Tim Boyle,
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Yeah? No, Well, I mean, look, it's desperate times, right.
What is a desperation as a stinky cologne? Is the
quote we use with some great regularity here is for
the Jets. Look, the season is where you're at. You've
watched Zach Wilson flail. You're at the back of the
fish rap every Monday morning. And I mean you're winning

(24:09):
the newspaper. I mean you're actually beating the giants in
a lot of this because there was still some expectation.
You know that your defense was supposed to be great.
Guess what, You're not even on the top handful of
defenses in the game in the AFC anymore. And that
part of that is your offensive line and the futility
just putting me in bad spots. The other is teams

(24:30):
are starting to solve that part of the equation. Although
Robert slid shaving that painted on beard might help you.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
It's been a bad look all the way around, and
too bad the Jets aren't coached by a former defensive specialist.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
Oh wait, lest they are. Lo's the bigger defensive disappointment. No, see,
I was going to bring back Brandon Staley. It's just
too easy. I mean, the lines just right themselves. But yeah,
nine and a half or ten as I'm looking at it,
depending on where you're shopping right now. For this one.
As the Dolphins travel to New Jersey.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
I think Miami beats him like a run and mule.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
I think, yeah, you're you're, you're absolutely correct on this one.
So that's that is one that I will will side again.
The way the Dolphins played on Sunday against the Raiders,
you want to talk about a bad taste in your
mouth because everybody's putting you among the pillars and mocking
the Raiders coming into that game. I mean, you saw
how big that spread was, right, nearly two touchdowns, that's right,

(25:26):
And then you let them hang around, and now you're
being compared to teams that they'd just beaten in the
Jets and the Giants, and now the schedule makers allow
you to beat to play one of those games, right
right after all of that, Yeah, I think I think
we're in a position for a get right for Tua
in company to make some noise here, most hurt and

(25:48):
hopefully a chan for all you fantasy owners. He gets
the nod on Friday probably with the early games is
you've got to make those lineup decisions and commitments on
short weeks, which is always a dangerous opposition, as we
know from watching years of Thursday Night football, the good,
the bad, the ugly. But you know what, we celebrate
all to seventy two of them here on the Jason

(26:09):
Smith Show with me Mike Harmon. Someone's got to be
last because there are only two hundred and seventy two
that we get to rank, but we do celebrate each
of them, some just a little less than the others.
As we continue here Fox Sports Radio, the I Watch
a Flex podcast up wherever you hear it. Bernie will
be in for Ben Mallor tomorrow starting at eleven pm.

(26:29):
After our show goes off air, It'll be Arnie Spanier
and VJ. Husky in for US tomorrow and then Friday
Bernie will follow Plank and span your who you know.
I take the rare couple days off to try to
get my thoughts together and get my constitution right for
the stretch run of the NFL season as we wind

(26:52):
towards the playoffs. So much excitement and entertainment still ahead
on the board for us. But now We're gonna pause
for a moment, Ernie. We got to bring in our
guy Martin Wise for the final time tonight get an
update on those late NBA games and all the chaos
that ensued.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
I do have to say this real quick though, Mike.

Speaker 7 (27:09):
You were talking about what are we doing with Aaron
Rodgers and his achilles. We're doing the same thing we
did with Odell Beckham and his knee all seasons.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
Where's he gonna play? Where's he gonna sign?

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Last year?

Speaker 5 (27:18):
And nowhere? It was the answer.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
Yeah, but it's good. It's good for fodder.

Speaker 5 (27:22):
Oh I'm not mad at it. You know, it gives
us something to talk about.

Speaker 7 (27:25):
But Aaron Rodgers is not playing football this year unless Look,
I know we already at Aaron Rodgers vers. Science Round
one with the immunization deal, Aaron Rodgers vers Science Round two.

Speaker 5 (27:34):
I think Science is gonna win this one out.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
But no, I think I think you're gonna be able
to just go and have the press conference saying, you know,
we're airing on the side of caution. The season is
going away, there's no there's no reason to push it now.
The playoffs are a faint memory. But you know what
I would be ready to go right now. Oh yeah,
it's a Festivus Miracle Week nineteen. Aaron Rodgers ready.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
To watch it?

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Actually done?

Speaker 7 (27:56):
All right, let's get back to the business. Tons of
games tonight and the Association year some of the bigger ones.
Sons beat the Warriors one twenty three and one to
fifteen Kevin Durant with thirty two points and eight rebounds.
Chris Paul ejected in this game by Scott Foster. Just
google that when they got history. Luka Doncis was two
assists shorts of a triple double with thirty points, twelve
rebounds and you guessed it, eight assists as the Mavericks

(28:17):
beat the Lakers one oh four to one O one.
Lebron had twenty six nine and seven and the loss.
Nicolejochis had a thirty point, thirteen rebound, twelve assists triple double,
but Magic beat the Nuggets won twenty four to one nineteen.

Speaker 5 (28:29):
Franze Wagner twenty seven points in the win.

Speaker 7 (28:31):
Bucks scored thirty seven in the fourth quarter to make
it close, but lose to the.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
Celtics one nineteen to one sixteen.

Speaker 7 (28:36):
Jalen Brown twenty six and eight assists and that one
Trey Young forty three points, nine assists as the Hawks
beat the Nets one forty seven to one forty five
in overtime. That feels like an All Star game score
Tepperwolves go to zero to seven. Let mean seven to zero.
That's a big difference. At home, beating the seventy six
ers one twelve to ninety nine, Anthony Edwards thirty one,
six and six. He continues his stellar play after the

(28:57):
Feeble World Cup Clippers beat the one nine to one
two despite twenty two fourteen and three blocks from with
Victor Wimbinyama Kawhi. Leonard had twenty six points and had
a former head coach ask the fans to stop buying
him as a go ahead and win in San Antonio
in the NFL, Commander's running back Antonio Gibson game time

(29:19):
decision for the Thanksgiving matchup against the Cowboys. In that
same game, running back Recall dallad for Dallas expected to
play against Commanders nursing a sore ankle, and Packers running
back AJ Dillon is expected to play Thanksgiving against the Lions.

Speaker 5 (29:32):
He's got a sore groin. Back to you.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
Guys, thanks so much. Martin, enjoy the holiday holiday holiday
and moving in here to the Fox Sports Radio studios
holding down the fork all right at Martin. Weis where
you find him on Twitter. Thanks to Martin, thanks to Patrick,
Thanks to Alex always making a sound so pretty. We
had a dance party rolling all night DJ Alex tyshirt.

(29:54):
Check out all his work, including his Anima Anime Sempi
podcast wherever you download your podcasts. I've got the iWatch
Flex podcast and of course this year's show and all
the work on Fox Sports Radio wherever you download your audio,
download to give it five stars. Evangelize We'll love you
forever and forever, and maybe I'll do one of those
fours Goup. I'm not gonna run across country, but maybe

(30:16):
I'll walk across country and give you a big hug.
And depending on how dirty my face is, maybe I'll
leave a smiley face on your shirt as well. But Bernie,
you know, looking at the slate and one of the
things I love to do is watch the secondary ticket market,
right you know, and watching what's going on and pricing
and just looking at the get ins for this weekend's game,

(30:37):
including the three Tilts tomorrow, actually pretty affordable weekend. It's
all on a relative basis. I get this. Times are tight.
People are looking at their discretionary income and maybe going
over it with a fine toothcomb and making you know,
some belt tightening moves. I get that, But looking at
where there is for relative value when we normal talk

(31:00):
about get in and all the pricing for these events.
You know, we only have three games right now on
the full slight and there are no bye weeks this week.
Everybody's playing. There's only three games where they get in
is more than one hundred dollars, which is pretty impressive.
Right tomorrow Green Bay Detroit. If you want to be
part of the feel good time that is the Detroit

(31:21):
Lions get in at one forty six. Now we look
at fees and parking and stuff. I know it starts
to add up, but again on a relative basis, got
some value. You want to go to Dallas and be
part of the one hundred thousand strong at at and
T Stadium, you've got a thirty eight dollars entry. By
the way, at Detroit you'll also get to see them
more of those snazzy uniforms with the John Madden patch

(31:44):
on there, which is pretty cool. Yes, and then in Seattle,
you're just under one hundred bucks to go see the
forty nine ers and Seattle Tilt the two games that
go and are the outliers to all of this. Buffalo
at Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial get in two forty six
in Kansas City heading to Allegiance in Las Vegas two

(32:08):
hundred and thirteen dollars.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Interesting because for the last couple of years, the aftermarket
price here at Legion Stadium has been number one in
the NFL. Has not been cheap. I wonder if it's
because it's Thanksgiving to you a weekend.

Speaker 4 (32:21):
I would say, the holiday holiday holiday. And I think
a lot of people are scared off of what we
talked about briefly before, right all the F one horror
stories that went on. And look, I got a chance
to watch the race last night doing my prep for
my Fox Football Sunday show and had it zipping around
and it photographed well. Ver Stoppin's unstoppable. Right week after

(32:41):
week he just wins. And I liked his statement too.
He's like, ah, it's a money grab and whatever else,
I just need to go race, and he did, and
he went and took care of business and now we
have the aftermath, but all the travel to and from,
we heard the horror stories and all the minimums at tables,
and good for everybody working at those venues. I heard

(33:02):
our guy Bill Krackenberger talking about that a little bit
as I was driving home after my show on Sunday,
talking about how everybody got paid out and made some
pretty good money if they were in the hospitality side
of things at the tables. So good for them. But yeah,
I think that might influence it a little bit as well, Bernie.
Even with the Chiefs, I mean, there's still you know,

(33:22):
a hot ticket right. As much as we may bemoan,
they're not the Chiefs of old, They're still the Chiefs,
still a division rival. Raiders are playing better football. But
I think all the ancillary stuff really comes into play
here when you talk about the F one horror stories
and just what it costs to travel at the holidays.
I did a quick look see to see if I
could maybe get a twenty four hour to go see

(33:44):
my folks. There was no chance in hell. And that
was looking at it two months ago. I can only
imagine folks maybe looking at it now saying, ah, that
would be fun. Even a drive up the you know,
the fifteen. It would probably be a dangerous proposition where
you're stuck in bumper to bumper traffic because we all
have seen the horror stories you to live and die

(34:05):
in La on the freeways.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Another great movie reference. By the way, I'm glad you
mentioned F one. But before I get to that, they're
projecting that Sunday here at McCarron Airport, it'll be the
busiest day in history, in history Las Vegas. F one
has been a very polarizing event and very polarizing subject matter.
There's already one class action suit when the practice round

(34:31):
was canceled. Here's what we need to wait and see.
Even though it could be here the next ten years.
We'll see if Vegas exercises. They're out after three years,
I'm not sure. Here's what was promised. One hundred and
forty thousand visitors and one point three billion in economic impact,
including five hundred million spent for firm than one on
the building they're built. The difference is it brought in

(34:52):
a genuine caviar crowd from Europe. The typical Las Vegas
visitor spends three nights and eight hundred and seventy dollars
per trip. The typical F one visitor spends four nights
and thirty five hundred dollars per trip. We're going to
find out if that was born out, because if it is,
it will allegedly raise eighty seven million in state and

(35:13):
local taxes, including twenty five million to go to public schools.
We've got to wait and see. But to your point,
Mike is spot on. It's a disaster here right now.
And the breakdown or the takeaway, or whatever you want
to call it, the race is over. It's going to
take at least another four weeks to take everything down,
all the partitions the road, put anything back to normal.
Honest to god, the gridlock on the strip is like

(35:35):
nothing you could ever imagine, and it's been pretty it's
been pretty dramatic.

Speaker 4 (35:39):
Yeah, So we'll see how that flows out, and certainly
always trying to follow through on the fuzzy math. He's
Bernie Frattow in for Jason Smith. I'm Mike Carmen. We're
here live fromthetyraq dot com studios. Coming up next week,
close up shop, a little more NFL for you. One
more anniversary moment in TV history that we all celebrate
each and every year this time, and then of course

(36:01):
we've got the play of the day. Hmmm, I wonder
what it'll be. We'll talk about it next year on Fox.
