My friend? My man, I may big arms? What's up? Baby?
Good good man? Let me ask you what we've worked?
What two or three Thanksgivings? I think so far? How many?

(01:11):
How many years you've been with Fox? Now I've been here.
I just crossed over my sixth years. Oh my good
time to fly.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Yeah man, six years here and this is you and
I's Third Street. Thanksgiving seven to eleven pm Western Ooh,
ten to two eight am, East Coast, A tradition like
no other of Where are weird? Are tur Educcans of
sports talk radio?

Speaker 3 (01:40):
I was gonna tell you. I used to do a
segment with a friend of mine back in Atlanta when
I lived there, and we used to say, what's cooking?
What's for lunch? Max? And he used to go, I'm first,
I'm gonna have like a nice salad with blue cheese
crumbles and Catalina dressing and stuff like that. I said,
nobody does cooking like VJ. Husky. Every year I see

(02:01):
you post the pictures and every year like I'm coming
out to your place for Thanksgiving? What was cooking at
Vjy's house today?

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Actually this year I did for the first time in
about eighteen nineteen years, I did not cook a Thanksgiving
dinner at all. No, my kids are up at their
grandmother's house up in Palmdale, and I went by a
friend's house, a female comedian friend of mine, my sister
in comedy, and hung out with them a little bit
before I came in. But I saved today because I'm

(02:31):
going huge for Christmas dinner. I'm going huge for Christmas
dinner this year. It's gonna be at least an eight
course meal served at my house because my son's birthday.
My son Cameron was born on Christmas night. Oh my
goods exactly, so we'll have people over. The games will
be on. Man, I play Santa Claus. I'm a big
I'm a big Christmas kid man as a grown man.

(02:53):
But yeah, I saved it, so I did not cook.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
What is the VJ special though? For Thanksgiving? Though?

Speaker 5 (02:58):
What?

Speaker 6 (02:58):
Look?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
What are you known for? Because I see all the
pictures in that year and every year they look fantastic.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
My number one, my colleague greens, number two, my sweet
Potato pie, and number three my mac and cheese, all
recipes of my grandmother, Miss Ambry Spearman, I use her
what she taught me, and over the.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Years said, you're not talking like velveta nah? No what
look listen, let me tell you something.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Man.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
I see some of these damn plates that people be
posting online talking about, Yeah we went in. I'm like, yeah,
in on a bunch of can goods.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
That's what.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
That's what your ass went in on a bunch of
damn can goods. Because that's all I know. Can stream
beans when I see them, they not bright green. They
like that army green doing them can green beans when
they're army green.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah. So yeah, man, I saved this year. Brother.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
I let everybody else have it in but Christmas, I'm
going to explode.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
All right. Well, look, I hope everybody as we end
up in the East Coast, I know still people may
be eating on the West Coast. If you're enjoying your Thanksgiving,
thanks for hanging out with us. Yes, I will take
you through the next four hours. We'll have some fun
to get to. You know, this is what you talk
about if we work three straight Thanksgivings. I enjoy work
at thanks Giving. First of all, I'm on the East

(04:07):
Coast some late at night. It's either this or you know,
finish out watching that Bourg differencesco game. Oh god. And
there's so much sports going on, not only today, tomorrow,
this weekend. I mean it's crazy NFL college football. I've
been I watched by Arizona Wildcats being Michigan State and
college hoops in a great game. So much going on

(04:28):
right now. VJ.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
You know tons going on. NBA is going on right now.
I'm a big National Hockey League guy. My New York
Rangers are out to a great start after a coaching
change this offseason, So it looks like it's gonna be
them in the Bruins to battle it out in the
Eastern Conference to get the play for Lord Stanley's late
in May early June. You got college hoops. My Tar
Hills are rolling doing what they do. College hoops is

(04:49):
great right now. NBA, we'll get in some more of that,
but the best thing is college football. Look was we
got the Egg Bowl on today, We got games tomorrow.
We already know what's happened on Saturday at noon Eastern time.
The game we'll get. We already know about that, the
Iron Bowl, I mean, we get the Apple Cup, the
Silvil War.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
It's loaded this we talk. Are we talking that Michigan
Ohio State game where we're gonna put away a couple
of segments. Listen, we could talk whatever, we listen whenever.
Y'all ready for me to talk.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Hell, Jimmy Free, Jimmy Free, m jim Hey, Jimmy, we
got you know, we gonna take this one and then
go ahead. You'll be back for the Big Ten championship game.
We'll stump out Iland and we'll move on to the
college football.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
I'll tell you, I'll tell you what I know. Rob
before us likes to take phone calls. We love to
go ahead and deal with people on Twitter, you know.
And we are gonna do your favorite Thanksgiving sports moments.
We'll do that if you want to send that in
and VJ and I will give ours a little bit
later on this hour. But if you want to just
go ahead, uh, you know, go ahead and tweet on in.

(05:49):
Let us know where you're listening from, how you're listening radio,
the app all that stuff. Always curious, VJ. What part
of the country are people listening for or if they're
listening out to country to us on this Thanksgiving you.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Know, I'm seeing some of the fans that tune into
our network. Faithfully, I always tell people we have the
best radio fans in the world at Fox Sports Radio.
No fan base can touch our fan base. We have
fans that like listen to everybody. They don't just listen
to certain people. They know what you're saying, they know
what Chris is saying. They know what gott Leaps saying,
they know what Colin's saying, they know what Cavino and
Richard say, they know what everybody is saying. And listeners

(06:23):
in Houston already tweeting about us. Listeners back East, our
good friend Benny out there in Australia.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Good duy Mike out there. Listen.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
We international, baby, It's not a NAT I tell people
I don't have a national radio show. I have a
global radio show. O can't It just kind of is
what it is, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Sports? There's Fox Sports Radio in New Zealand. I don't
know if you know that. There's a network that carries us.
Yes out there also, So everybody we go all over
the place, just go tweet us. Let us know. VJ
tell everybody your Twitter addressed person. It takes like an
hour to say, no, it doesn't because you made me
change it. It's just big vanilla funny.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
You're the reason why change it, because you told me
how much you hated it on live air. And I'm like, man, God,
I thought that was creating, you know, Husky entertainment. I
got my LLC. I'm trying to be trying to be
an adult in a business man, You're like, you know, VJ,
I really hate your Twitter, your handle, you saying I'm like,
goodness great, ouch, keep the gloves up?

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Are any goodness great? So big vanilla funny. If you
want to send VJ or you could just do it
to me at stinking Genius one. Let us know how
you're listening and where you're listening. We love to hear
a few on this Thanksgiving. We know some people have
to spend it alone. Some people their family could come
into town. Did you see you're in La. I'm gonna

(07:33):
ask you, did you see? Every year I look forward
to those pictures or the video of the the four
oh five on Twitter where you just see a gridlock.
Every year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I said to myself,
thank goodness, Yes I don't live back in LA when
I had to go through that, you know, my godness.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
And this is without fail, it's without fail, the night
the rush hour traffic. Yeah, on the Wednesday, the night
before Thanksgiving and Los Angeles is the worst. And that's
including me living in New York and DC area. It's
the worst I've ever seen. In mind, those pictures are
not fake, guys. They're not not ladies and gentlemen, boys
and girls. Those pictures are not fake. They're not doctored up.

(08:11):
That is what the four or five, the one oh one,
the five to one ten in a ten, that is
exactly how it looks. And it goes like that till
about ten pm. Is everybody trying to get people trying
to get out of town.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
I love it. I love it all right, So let's
get to it. Like we said, a lot of stuff
going on word halftime of the last NFL game, A
big snooze here. Actually they just started the second half.
San Francisco twenty four to three over Seattle. There's not
gonna be a comeback in this one. Seattle's gonna fall.
Big loss for them when it does happen, because they
were in the playoff race or they were one of
the playoff teams VJ, so we'll see if they get replaced.

(08:45):
It's gonna be an interesting fight for a couple of
those wild card spots. But San Francisco is starting to gel,
looking real good defensively, and a couple questions. What I
want to start with, brock Perdy, I was shocked when
I said, when I started realizing and I saw somebody
put up the numbers like he's number one in quarterback rating,
number one percentage. He was actually number one in five

(09:06):
different categories. If Patrick Mahomes was number one in five
different categories, we'd say MVP locked up. Don't even have
to talk about it, just going to write Patrick Mahomes's
name in it and signed, sealed and delivered. We're still
some people don't even know if this guy's are starting
quarterback in the NFL. And he just wins every week,
puts up good numbers, not even good numbers, VJ big

(09:29):
numbers out there. Your thoughts on party and what San
Francisco's doing right now.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
I think what's popular with Purdy is for us to
either pick a side, and so I'm not gonna do that.
What I'm gonna say is I'm gonna just let the
season play out.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Now.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Does he have a great roster Most people were saying
going into the season it was the top roster on
paper in the NFL. So he's got weapons all over
the place. And when you start talking about system and
schematically manipulating the defense, there's a play earlier in this
game where they line up Debo in the backfield with
Christian McCaffrey motion Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Out into the slot.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
So you technically have now a running back who could
play receiver, and a running and a receiver who could
play running back. Then you have Kittle motion to the
opposite side. I don't care what defense it is and
who you got. That's a lot that have to cover.
And he can still turn the handleball off if he
wants to, or he can take off a running slot
for six or seven yards.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
There.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
He's doing what Shannonhan in the offense is asking him
to do.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
It Was he just real quick? Was he doing that
when they lost three games of the road to the Browns,
the Vikings, and the Bengals. Just kind of curious? No, No,
he wasn't. Those were good defenses, but he was missing listen.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Deebo Samuel is one of the best in my opinion,
He's a top five player in the league player, not
just a receiver. He is a top five to rank
the top ten to fifteen guys. Deebo probably falls in
my top five because when he is on the field,
he does so much, in needs so much, and he's
like a young quarterback's best friend. He reminds me a
lot of Marshall fulk Roger Craig type guy that can

(10:56):
do everything, but do it from so many different positions
on the field. Now, of course they weren't splitting Roger
Craig out out why. But Roger Craig is the first
running back in NFL history to go for one thousand
the ground and a thousand through the air in the
same season. So party, it's just he's he missed him
too much. Shows out what you were gonna say about you.
Of course they missed him too much.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, wait it is. I kind of like
Minnesota missing Jefferson. Wait a minute. They went five and
one without a but I should have been six to
oer without him.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
Yeah, but they didn't have to go to Cleveland and
play the league's number one defense. They didn't have to
play Cincinnati, go to Cincinnati. Oh no, they played Cincinnati home.
But Burrow is just getting rolling. It's a shame what
happened to him, because that was the game where I
came in the following week, I said, Okay, the calf
is fine, the Bengals are back. The Bengals are rolling.
They went in there and they put it on him.
So whether they had Deebo that day. I don't know
if he makes up that point differential gap, but he

(11:47):
does matter. But with Perdy, I'm gonna just let this
play out and see because as the year goes on,
guys get hurt, guys coming back.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
The team changed today, VJ though the shows today, and
you have to make a decision whether you want sign
this sky long termy. Okay, they're just no to that
because he's just rookie.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
No, he's got to do it for execurity the second year,
he's got to do it more than he's got to
do it for more than This has equivalently been about
a season, right, he started at about this time last year.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Yeah, week twelve, week eight.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
Yeah, I thought it was like nine or ten or
something like that. But either or it's it's about a
two week area of this point last year is where
he started. So now this is really his first full
year in playing. But I sign him long term right
now now.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
But like, you're not one of those guys that has
to date the girl six years before you ask her
to marry you.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
You ain't cop not six years. But we ain't getting
married in the first year. We damn sure ain't get
married on the first day. We damn sure ain't get
married off the first day in the first year neither.
I gotta live with you a little bit. I gotta
see if you're snore. Do you put the cat back
on the toothpaste? Little things like that? You know what
I'm saying. Do you do you when the batteries run
out of the remote?

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Do you just need the Wait you're gonna wait, She's
gonna say, for crist Yeah, well, okay, we'll stop leaving
the cap off the toothpaste then and we can move on.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
But with pretty Man, honestly, I'm just I'm gonna just
let it play out. It's like I said, there's a
popular thing to just pick a side. It's like, dude,
he's got a loaded team. The division. The division is
not good. Let's be road the division. I thought Seattle
would be better, but it's shown tonight. They're not in
the class of San Francisco. They're not gonna make the playoffs. No,
they're not gonna make the playoffs. So they're gonna be
the one team that comes out of their division that

(13:20):
makes the playoffs. We'll see when they have to play
Philly Dallas. The Lions I know what the lines look
like today, but playoffs are always different than the regular season.
So I honestly, Arnie, I'm just gonna hold out on
Oh he's he's the he's the guy, or he's Listen,
let's just let this playoff. Because when he's got all
his weapons, we've seen. But when he's missing a guy
or two, we've seen that too. So let's let it
play out.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
If you're Eagle fans, who do you want to see
the Eagles play in the NFC Championship San Francisco?

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Dallas doesn't matter because no one's going into Philly and
beating him, So it doesn't matter who goes.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Who's the best? Well, I guess who's the biggest competition
to them that who? Do your thigures out?

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Surprisingly, so it would probably Dallas because it's a division
game and it's hard to beat a team three times
in one year.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Well, no, actually, you know that's that When you look
at that, I think it's happened a lot more often
than you believe. I mean, people have done it more
than like fifty or sixty percent of the time. It
does seem like it could be tough to do. Our Dophins,
remember that with aj Dewey. You did it against the
Jets three times. It's not that tough. The only problem

(14:19):
is I would think that you wouldn't want to face
San Francisco because they've got that great defense now, but
so does Dallas too.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
So Philly has, Philly has Jalen Hurts and there and
there's the X factor.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
So you can have a great defense.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Fine, right, But and and we've heard Sirianni and we've
heard this quote echoed over the last two weeks. When
they get the ball, it's first and nine, it's not
first intent because they already know they have the touch push.
So and you have Jalen Hurts. You don't have that
with Philly. And Philly's got a defense too now, and
they're missing a few guys. And if by the playoffs start,
if they're full street, especially in the front seven, if
Philly's at full strength in the front seven, good luck

(14:55):
going into Philly coming from San fran what twenty degrees
nineteen degrees on one of yeah, good luck.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
Well, I was gonna say this said, if you don't
think it's so much defense, what about our dolphins? And
then that's the same thing. Goat you know, can you imagine.
And of course there'd be a neutral, it'd be a
super Bowl. But the Dolphins I felt should have been
Philadelphia the first time. The officials stole that game. And
I don't usually blame officials, but when you had like
eleven to nothing in penalties being called, yep, that was

(15:22):
absolutely insane there, VJ. It was crazy.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
And not only that, it wasn't just the penalties. Once
the penalties started and you start to see it going
our way, you can see it set in with our players.
Tyreek Hill, who I love, did drop a post pattern
that was wideop before touch that and he was gonna
score on and he bobbled the ball and ended up
dropping it. That would have probably changed the game around.
And remember we had a touchdown taken off the board
also too, so I agree with you, but we didn't win.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
I mean, that's kind of just what it is. I
get crazy when the Dolphins has never beaten a good
team this year, not the team above five hundred. There,
they're a fraud, just kind of like what they're saying
about the Lions now after the Lions lost to Green
Baby Jay.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
I don't I don't buy any of that. You beat
who's on your schedule? And I agree with Mike McDaniel,
and that's the type of athlete mentally I have. If
you want the narrative to change, then change the damn narrative. Yeah,
it's on you to change the narrative.

Speaker 3 (16:08):

or Radio.

couldn't be more excited to announce a podcast called Up

Speaker 2 (16:56):

Speaker 3 (17:28):
How long does this go for? How long didn't you
play that? How long you wanted to go? Arnie? I
don't know how long does it go for? You can
make it go for two hours live ate tyrac dot
Com Studios, VJ Husky, Arnie Spaniards sitting in for the guys. Okay, okay,
Jason Smith and his best tread Mike Harman. By the way,

(17:48):
you can send the joints at Big Vanilla Funny. I'm
instincing genius. One Di Loo says it all to us
from Lakeland, Florida, listening to over down there, down in
the southeast, down there in Florida, great place. Love Florida.
I love going down there. I may retire down there
someday when it's all said, down there, VJ.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
I love Florida too, especially Miami. I go down to
miac Oh, the big the Big Vanilla. Funny loves Miami,
and Miami loves the Big Vanilla.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Fu'm sure, by the way, I was gonna say, we
when we rode off Seattle, they got a pick six
brock party. After we're done, I'm done praising him throws
at pick six. It's twenty four to ten right now,
and Seattle, I believe it's gonna get the ball back.
So maybe this game isn't over like we thought it was.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Papschik and I were just sitting in an engineer room
just looking at it and talking about I said, I mean,
you know, he gave the great line from Dumb and
Dummery saying, so you're telling me there's a chance, like
there's and that told me. I mean, it's eleven minutes left, guys,
like there's a lot of football but to pass by party.
And this is why I say, guys, let's just pump
the break, Let's just let it play out. That's a
poor patt You see that it's behind McCaffrey it's high,

(18:59):
he's reached back and leaping to try to get That's
a bad ball and I see three lime green jerseys
in that area.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
That's a bad read. That's a bad throw.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
He does that, But he has enough talent to help
make up for it because they can go score twenty
four point you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
But run a tight game.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
When he was making those mistakes in the three lost
streak that you talked about, he was making those throws,
it was getting picked off because he didn't have those weapons.
Like you know, it's the weapons helped the quarterback. Quarterback
helps the weapons. Just depends on what team you're looking at.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
But VJ don't you have to be smarter and I'm
not talking so much about him. Maybe the play calling.
You're up twenty four to three, you're backed up in
your own place. Hey, you know, be a little bit conservative.
Run it three times, you don't pick up the first
your punts of the way. They haven't done anything offensively
and you've got a three touchdown lead. I wouldn't start
the paddock there.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
You know, I'm not mad at that analysis. But this
is Shanahan bro. He's he's gonna keep the foot down.
He's not gonna. I've never seen him get conservative. You know.
That's why I like him as a coach. Honestly, you
could be conservative, you know when you're running out the
clock trying to win a game. But eleven minutes, hey,
I have faith in my system. I have faith in
my guys. We can get out of this hole. Plit
a drive together and let's go get some more points.

(20:10):
I think he's that type of coach. So I don't
like I said, I don't like to throw. The play
call didn't bother me, but the read and the throw
bothered me. You're throwing into triple coverage. You throw it
with a pick six, and now, honestly, you have a
you have a game here.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
You know.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Absolutely. We'll keep your eye out and let you know
what's going on. Earlier today, the Packers beat the Lions
twenty nine to twenty two. Packers got out the twenty
points in the first was twenty to six. After the
first God had a interception or was actually was a
fumball that was picked up for a pick six. Out there.
They were turning the bowl over left and right on
consecutive series. That's what got the Packers out to the lead.

(20:45):
They could never really catch up out after that. Made
a last ditch effort, but it was too little, too late.
Are they a bunch of frauds? They've only beaten one
team above five hundred. That just happens to be Kansas
City in week number one. Otherwise they looked bad the
last couple of weeks against the Packers and the Bears.
They were lucky enough though to pull out that victory

(21:05):
against the Bears. Not so lucky against Green Bay.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Yeah, And what I say about the Lions is simply this.
They remind me of the year. Do you remember when
the Kansas City Royals won the World Series like ten
years ago, something like that, eight nine, whenever it was right,
I tell somebody, even though they got that one, you
still can't convince me that they can win again. Because
all my lifetime, other than the George Brett era, all
I've ever seen.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Is bad Kansas City team. So let's flip to the Lions.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
As long as I've been alive and I've been on
planet Earth, I've never seen them do anything. Their last
playoff win is against Dallas Troy Aikman's first playoff start,
when Barry Sanders went bonkers who didn't even go bonkers
on right, but he really showed his ass that day
and ran all over Dallas. That's in ninety one. That's
their last playoff win. But so nobody's on that team

(21:54):
from the nineties one. It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter.
I'm using it as an example of why I don't
believe in them.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
And it's not frauds.

Speaker 4 (22:01):
It's like they're nothing, honestly, and I hate to say this,
I'm not don't want line fans to come after me.
They're not a thought on my sports psyche until I
see them do something significant.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
They're leading the division. That lead, yeah, division's bad. Well,
if they win the division, that's an accomplishment when you think,
or no, not to me, it's not. Well, what do
they have to do to prove to you that in
a playoff game?

Speaker 4 (22:23):
Go win a playoff game. You can't just get to
the playoffs. You have to go win because if you
get to the playoffs. They could have got to the
playoffs last year if they didn't get off to an
OH to seven start. They went on a run, so
they could have gotten to the playoffs. That getting there
is nothing. If you'll get there and then get smoked
by thirty. That doesn't feel better in the off season, Arny,
you don't go, well, we got there.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
That's not the mind.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
Not for them, maybe some silly drunk fans at the bar,
but for those guys and everybody in that franchise, that's
that didn't feel good. They gotta hold that the whole
off season for Detroit to be looked at as something
for real, that Dan Campbell's building and he's done a
great job.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
They've got to go win a playoff game. But let
me throw this.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
At you really quick. Two weeks ago, I warned everybody
on Martin and VJ. We have here on Fox Sports
ready on Saturdays. I warned everybody, this defense is starting
to look leaky, leaky like it did last year. What
happens Martin goes to the game, he was at the
Ram the Chargers game, they gave up over thirty. What
happens again today they give up a bunch of points.
What happens when they go to Baltimore? That defense, Aaron

(23:23):
Glenn has not fixed it. That's gonna be their problem
because when a day like today where golf is just
wetting his pants and you want to talk about his
turnover prom Go look at his last eight quarters. I
mean turnovers I believe has been horrible. I think it's
five or six in the last eight quarters his turnovers.
But when you haven't a day like that and your
defense is letting Jordan Love carve you up, you got

(23:44):
a problem.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
But isn't that the next progression? The natural progression for
the Lions? As you said, they started zero to seven
last year, they made a run, didn't make the playoffs.
Now they get off to what an eight and two now?
And what aight and three I believe started in the NFL?
They still leave the division? What are divisions? The next
step though, Vjays, it's the next step of the progression.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
If you're a Lions fan, I'm gonna say I'm not
speaking from a fan, I'm speaking from an analyst looking
at a franchise and where they need to go and
being a guy that.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
Played football, Like what the players thinking with this?

Speaker 4 (24:16):
Like, think about, Okay, so they won the division, Arne,
that means they get a what a home playoff game?
Do you think they would go away saying yeah, we
had a successful season. If they lose a home playoff
game by two touchdown exactly. Well, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
They're still happy that they won the division though, So yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
I mean, like I said, maybe a drunk fan at
the local bar down the street from the stadium, sure,
But everybody that's wearing blue and silver and that's in
that franchise, absolutely not. Especially It's like our Dolphins. We
went our division, which we're going to we get a
home playoff game, Arnie. We can't cough that up exactly.
We've got to win that game. Or guess what. The
same narrative now carries all off seat. You had to

(24:53):
deal with the crap during the regular season, and you
finally won the division, yay, and then you get a
home game in Cleveland. Because I looked at the layoff match,
Cleveland would be the team that would come into Miami.
Right now, now they're the office. Doesn't scare me. But
that's also the number one defense that they're bringing into
our stadium. Two things travel in the playoffs, running the
football and defense. It travels in the playoffs no matter
where you play.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
They made Jordan Love look like a Hall of Famer
for Criet and that's what I'm saying. I'm looking at
his numbers right now. Jordan Love today plays like that,
He's in the Hall of Fame. If you got to
play like that every week.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Two sixty eight, twenty two and thirty two. Three touchdowns,
no turnovers, no interceptions, no fumbles, loss like he literally
carved them up and I think they got out gained
by one hundred yards. I know the Lions are over
four hundred yards of office, but you can't turn the
ball over. And that's what they did today.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
If you want to get ahold of us on Twitter,
big Vanilla Funny, I'm at stinking Genius one. Let us
know where you're listening and how you're listening, or if
you want to comment and any of the stuff we are.

(26:20):
to the Washington Dallas Cape. Gotta get a little bit
to Miami the Jets tomorrow. I want to talk about
Aaron Rodgers, but first let's see what's trending with Please
let it not be Brian Finley. Why not Nie? Not?
Loopis not you know what that means? Not loopis? You

(26:40):
mean like, did I have the illness? No? You like
from the Bad News Bears? You got that play right? Oh?
God like wasting go my good stuff on you guys.

Speaker 6 (26:51):
I mean you are old fashioned. You're still calling it Twitter.
I don't know why you have picked up with the
whole X thing.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
I don't do the X thing. I don't do it.
You don't do X rated. I don't do that. By
the way, Oh okay, see what you're gonna say. No,
I just I gave the saga that night. I was
sure you did. We had nobody else left, but you
So there you go.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
Well, they go to the bottom of the deck and
into the bullpen they go, and they take me in
and it's all to punish you, aren'y unless it's not.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
But I apologize to everybody.

Speaker 6 (27:23):
Yeah, you apologize to America. And the Seahawks are apologizing
to football fans considering the kind of effort that they're
showing tonight.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Twenty four to ten. They're trailing the forty nine ers.

Speaker 6 (27:32):
Hey, by the way, Rock Purty threw a touchdown pass,
but it was to the other team a pick six,
and there's five point thirty three left in the third
quarter of the Seahawks have the football playing, of course
at home. Earlier, Jordan Love had three touchdown throws for
the Packers as they submerge the Lions twenty nine to
twenty two. I'men ross Saint Brown at ninety five yards receiving,

(27:54):
and his quarterback Jared Goff had fumble itis with three fumbles.
All of them lost a case of the butterfingers, if
you will. The Cowboys distanced themselves from the Commanders forty
five to ten. That's a final score as Dallas got
a pick six and Dak Prescott with four touchdowns through
the air. As Hee was afterwards seen munching on turkey

(28:17):
or teduccan or something from Arnie Spaniards crock pot or
something like that. Hey, as far as college football is concerned.
We do have a noteworthy rivalry game.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
Third down and two, here's the snap fakes the Judkins.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Pass on the middle.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
Priest god Is all by himself, catches it at the five,
takes it to the house.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
Touch down.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Old man.

Speaker 6 (28:43):
Yeah, that would be the great voice David Callum of
ole Miss and lear Field. And right now in the
third quarter, Ole Miss is leading this game. Seventeen for
them in seven for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs just missed
a field goal. They hit it off the upright, What
is going on there? And so it's seventeen to seven
with about six thirty to go in the fourth quarter.

(29:04):
And lastly, I guess I gotta throw this in. Arnie,
your Arizona Wildcats basketball team win a game, and I'm
not trying to pump up your ego, but I have
to report the news, and that is they are six
and oh. They did come away with a marquee victory
against number twenty on Michigan State, seventy four to sixty eight.

(29:25):
Caleb Love seventeen points, including a noteworthy swipe of the
basketball is steel in the final moments to help secure
things for Yes, these six and oh Wildcats but let
me tell you this, as I get it back to VJ.
Husky had already span your Those Wildcats will have six
losses come conference play. Wow, get used to the six

(29:45):
and oh right now because it's not gonna last very long.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Thank you. Shots fired from Officer b fas move along, Beefin,
move along there. I appreciate that A. VJ. Husky already
span your for the guys Jason Smith and his best
tread Mike Carmon. On this Thanksgiving Day, you could tweet
us or ex us or whatever you want to call it.
Since I'm out of touch at big Big Vanilla funny,

(30:12):
I'm mistinking genius one Chewys wishes us happy Thanksgiving listening
down there in Houston, Texas. Loved lived down there in
Dallas for a long time. People didn't like me down there.
And by the way, and Troy sent this in and
people were really upset about the halftime show. What was
na Jack Barlow? Is that Harlow Barlow, Jack Borrow? What

(30:36):
was that about? Am I out of touch with this?
Is this? Like? Are the kids liking this? Because I
I didn't? I didn't enjoy it. I wasn't my thing.
What's going on here.

Speaker 4 (30:46):
You know, I thought pregame national anthems and halftime shows
took a dip today. I'm not sure who planned them.
I'm not sure what happened. It's way above my pay Gray.
I wouldn't want to be in charge of it anyway,
because I'm just trying to like dig Prince up and
bring him back and tell him to do it. I
know he going rocket even as a skeleton.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
You didn't like Dolly Parton, No no, no, no, no no.
You know why, real.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
Talk and it's not making fun of her. We need
to stop parading like these, like older people in front
of you. She had to keep holding on to keep
from falling. Dude, you didn't notice that she had to
keep grabbing her Last week at Tennessee, she walked out
with peyton Man, and did you guys see this where
she wo Dolly part walks out with peyton Man and
the Rocky Top during one of the commercial breaks and
announce some type of fund or something. Dude, he's locked

(31:31):
arms with her. She can barely really walk, man. We
got to stop parade and you know, old people up
in front of us like that.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
She was lipsticking. It was oh got in it was
off yeah yeah, and it was off yeah. She was
lip singing, it was off. Yeah. Man, it could have
Like she's seventy eight years old. What are you want
not to be up there seventy eight? That's the point
I'm trying to make. I think people, Actually, she got
good reviews on Twitter. Jack Harlow didn't get good reviews.
He was getting ripped all over the place.

Speaker 4 (31:58):
Dolly part got good reviews because she's Dolly part She
is the national treasure. You know.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
That's why I preface my comments.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
And I'm not trying to trash her, because that's not
what we want to do with Dolly Parton. I get it,
but at that age, at seventy eight, dog like, Okay,
this is probably not this is probably not the best idea.
There's definitely somebody else you could have got gone to.
Jack Harlow, guy, I don't know his music. I know
who he is because he's done college game day before,
like he's into sports. He sat up on the stand

(32:24):
and made his picks and stuff. But I'm not into
his music. I recognize a few songs. I just thought
the performance was horrible.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
VJ. You know, it's so funny, but just say he's
in the sports, he's an entertainer. When I first got
to do local radio in Los Angeles, I was not
prepared on how many actors and entertainers listen to the
radio for the sports talk. And back then, you know,
there wasn't all kinds of options. There's like one, maybe

(32:52):
two stations. You didn't have podcasts and all that stuff.
You'd be shocked, absolutely shocked. I once called to get
Jack Nicholson on the show right because chick Hern passed away,
so we decided to go after like four of the
biggest Laker fans we knew, and Jack actually called back.
I happen to answer the phone. It was like five thirty.

(33:14):
I'll never forget it, and I go, Jack, thank you.
We want to put you on tomorrow. He goes, let's
do it right now. I go, Jack, I'd love to,
but we're off the air, you know the Dodger games
that He goes, you're on till seven. I go, thanks
for doing my schedule. Jack, call back to give me
your number and we'll put you on first thing at
three o'clock. I'll promote you. He goes, I'll call you

(33:35):
at three. I go, Jack, I can't promote you unless
I have your number, because I don't know if you'll call,
he goes. If I tell you, i'll call, I'll call.
All right, Jack, get three o'clock call, I'll call. Yeah.
Guess what. Guess who called the two fifty five. It
was Jack and he was ready to go. And he
was great. He was absolutely great. So you don't know

(33:56):
a man of his word. I would have, yeah, but
I get in this business.

Speaker 4 (33:59):
We got to get the We got to get the
number because anybody can say they'll call and right right.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
But I took his word for it. I took his
word for it, and you could tell he was being serious.
It was because Chick had passed away. So and you
know who else called that that day too, was Denzel
Washington due. Yeah, he was on vacation. Apologized profusely for
not getting back to me right away. But he was great, man,
he was awesome, absolutely awesome.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
It's like that in the comedy world too. Man, me
being a comedian for the last twenty years, do you
be surprised? And I've had podcasts where I would call
certain comedian friends, you know, big name celebrity comedian friends
to come on and talk their team from their area
or from or what have you. I've had Earthquake, I've
had Shane when I was doing Ready over at Kevin Hart, Lol,
they let me do some sports talk over there, and

(34:43):
you'd be I'm not surprised. A lot of actors, a
lot of musicians, stand up comedians there their sports fan.
They're sports fans, sportsmans. So, especially in LA because you
meet people from Souvia in LA is a melting pot.
So when I meet a comedian from Houston and we
start talking sports, I'm like, what do you are? Dallas fan? Yeah,
I'm a Dallas fan. I didn't the Texas weren't around.
I'm a Cowboy fan. I'm a MAVs fan, or I
like the Ash So like you'd be, you know, I'm

(35:04):
not surprised that all it happens a lot. That's pretty
cool that you got those type of names on. My
biggest name I think I've ever had on a radio
show would be Eric Dickerson and George Foreman.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Eric Dickerson wasn't great. Eric.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
Eric did my show for me over in iHeart and
it was supposed to be eight minutes. Eric stayed on
with me for twenty five minutes.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
Oh very nice.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
Yeah, very just got the talking football man and he
just he could. You know, everybody's favorite, you know, topic
is themselves, and I'm a master interviewer.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
I'm just gonna ask Eric.

Speaker 4 (35:30):
What did it feel like that one San Francisco game
in nineteen eighty eight man in the divisional run and
then you just let that guy go up there, let
him go.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
Bad job by VJ. We never got it to talk
about the Dallas game. We still got to get to
the every Jets game, and we got to get to
some of our top Thanksgiving moments. Maybe we'll move that
back to next hour to start things off. Next hour,
I we'll get to our top Thanksgiving moments again. If
you want to go ahead and tweet us big vanilla funny.
I'm a stinking genius. One were are you listen to us?

(36:00):
How are you listening to us? We'll come back, we'll
wrap up that Washington Dallas game, maybe get to the
Miami Jets game. All that coming up next right here
on Fox Sports Radio.

the guys, Jason Smith and his best friend Mike Harmon
right here on Fox Sports Radio. By the way, you
get a hold of us at Big Vanilla Funny. I'm
instinking genius one. Charles said, he's listening from nash Vegas.
What is that? Nashville taking VJ? Is that? What that
is that? Now?

Speaker 4 (36:56):
I have no idea where in nasty Vegas is I
saw that? But I'm like, is he saying he lives
in Vegas now but he's from Nashville or vice versa.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
And I didn't get that. Okay, if I wanted a
no answer, I could ask our producer. He would have
given me a no answer. There come, Do you want
me to make something up?

Speaker 5 (37:12):
Aren't you?

Speaker 3 (37:13):
No? But I mean you should? You You're the one
that's supposed to be hipp and young. Come on, I'm
not that young. I don't know if I'm hip either.
I'm more of a dad than any damn thing these days.
I don't know how hip I am. The talent on
Fox Sports Radio is incredible. You listen and you get
everything every show Legit radio. So we thank you for that, Charles,
We do appreciate. I think that was mostly for me. VJ.

(37:33):
So I just might have been I'm just kidding. I'm
just kidding. Listen real quick.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
D lod Lopez another faithful listener. I love this tweet
right here at Stinking Jeans one, that big vanilla funny fellas.
Let's turn this show into an all Dolphins talk show.
This time slot is usually Jets, Mets or Knicks talk show.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
Yeah, I think we will be getting to the Dolphins
probably next hour. I told him, we got him, I said,
I said, I'm excited about that game tomorrow. A little
nervous about it though for some reason. Really I shouldn't be,
because it sweat Tim Boyle, is that what it is.
I shouldn't be so nervous about that, you.

Speaker 4 (38:05):
Know, Yeah, yeah, they just their quarterback was backing groceries
two weeks ago, Like what am I work? Yeah, I mean,
I'm just being listen. I'm just glad I hit on
this when I came out with my one hundred and
seventeen Uncle v Jay's twenty twenty through NFL predictions. My
prediction for the Jets were Aaron Rodgers would be out
for the year by week eight because their offensive line
was so bad. Pro Football Focus had him at twenty six,

(38:25):
for Football Network had him at twenty four, and that
the Jets would have to play three quarterbacks because Zach
Wilson would be that bad again. I'm gonna cash I'm
going to cash in on that. And I wrote that
down back in July. Well, let me ask you that
s did you bring up Aaron Rodgers? I'm just kind
of curious.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
Are you buying into this whole conspiracy theory that's ending
the Internet that maybe he you know, didn't have in
an acl and that it's Achilles it should be in.
That's something else out there and that's why it's coming
back so quickly? Or what with Aaron? Listen with my
man discount.

Speaker 4 (38:57):
You've heard that, right, but who do honestly, who knows
who knows, Arnie, I think it was his achilles. The
replay shows the you know, the achilles pot when that
calf muscle ripples. The same thing they showed with Kevin Durant,
Remember they they give us that that camera view that
that zoom in is like, ooh, you can see it's hair, right, Yeah,
the same thing happened with Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (39:16):
So no, I don't buy that.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
What I'm even buying, not even even more, is the
fact that there's some idea that he is somehow, he's
somehow is going to be able to comeback and play
two weeks right, two three weeks now says it wants
to start practicing. But listen, man, that line's bad as hell.
The weapons aren't happy. They don't get separation. I like
Garrett Wilson, but he's just he's not feeling it. You
can't just turn it on in the sport of football

(39:39):
if it's theirs there, if it's not. It's not right
now with the Jets, it's just not in. That defense
has just been holding on all year long. But we've
seen this with great defenses, Arnie. Sooner or later, man,
they just get wred down and we start out with
the Buffalo game. Buffalo offense hasn't been that fiery, hasn't
been putting up points like that. But if the defense
is on the phone on the field sixty five percent
of the game because you're three and out, three and
out up, fumble three and out, three out, interception three

(40:01):
and out three. You know what I'm saying, The defense
wears down as the year goes on, regardless of how
good they are. I don't think that's what's happening with
the Jets defense too.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
I'll give you a prediction. What was what they say
that Philadelphia Kansas City game was the highest one of
the most watched game. What on Monday night or something?
Is that? The part of me feels that has a
little bit to do with Taylor Swift. Also, I mean
to make it the most watch No, that'd being serious
about that. If Aaron Rodgers came back in two three weeks,
I think that'd be the most watched regular season game.

(40:29):
I don't think so because of who it is.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
It's the it's the it's the bum as is them
bum ass, same old bum ass Jets. Yeah, but Aaron
Jets Yeah yeah, and he doesn't he ain't moving the
needle Like, yeah, thirty eight year old Aaron Rodgers coming
off in Achilles.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
That's not moving the needle pass. But it's like a
car accident. You want to see, you don't want to see,
but you want to see. I just don't think it'll
break that record, is what I'm saying. I think people
will watch it, but it's not it's not Hurts and Mahomes.
It's not close to that. No, But I just you know,
people want to see what is going to happen to
Aaron Rodgers, if he's going to be able to come
on back. Cook I were one of the books. We
just polished that off. Unbelievable. We'll come back. We'll get

(41:05):
to the Miami game. I got some things I want
to say to my buddy Steve Kerr. All night, coming
up right here on Fox Sports or Radio
