You know what I mean. A lot of people were
not able to travel this year.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
You know, yeah, absolutely. I love the fans. Pay the bills, man,
fans make it worth it. You hear people say it,
and you dick, it's a cliche. I love my fans
and our fans, even the ones that don't like me,
or how'd that guy get on?
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Get that guy out?
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Could I'll say something about Lebron or their team and
they don't like it, So of course they wrap that
around their whole opinion of me, and I make it
a point that change fans. You saw me going out
Bill's Mafia doing pre season, they were coming after. I'm
talking hundreds of tweets were coming after me. At least
thirty of those people have hit me back over the
last he says this season starting was like, oh, I'm.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Not going from me.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
I didn't like you at first, but I was listening
last week and you don that. I was like, yeah, bro,
I don't like your bills, you don't like the Dolphins.
That don't mean we can't talk other sports. I'm gonna
tell you about our fans. Okay, I want to tell
you about our listeners. Okay, I'm gonna.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Tell you about one listener. Don't even know his name,
how Hey, But I was doing a remote. I was
in Vegas. This was one of the first years I
was on the network. It was actually a different network,
and I was doing this show. Was early in the morning,
and there was a couple of people watching. I was
in the casino, right and you can watch the show
or listen to the show, watch the show and still,
(02:36):
you know, go around, play blackjack or you know, slots.
And this guy was a fan and he came over
and he had me touch one of the coins for
good luck, puts it into the machine, wins twenty thousand dollars.
Start screaming like, you wouldn't believe you're the lucky touch
You're the lucky man, You're the lucky man, You're the
(02:57):
couldn't believe it. I would have give you a tip.
I can't wait. He wanted to give me five dollars.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
Yes, yeah, I slapped him. I gotta slapped him straight up.
You just want you just want twenty stacks like real talks.
He given me the credit. You're giving me the crass.
Not even a good person. Well see what a good
person would have done. See he did a nice guy things.
There's a difference between nice guys and good people. I'm
not a nice guy.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
What would you have wanted? What would you have expected?
Speaker 5 (03:24):
Ten?
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Wow, you can't listen. You just won twenty stacks. You
can't give up two thousand. You can't give up too
to the dude that touched the coin that you said
I gave you luck on you're not gonna miss that too.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
He's gotta pay taxes though, on that is it two
thousand before the taxes?
Speaker 4 (03:39):
I mean, I don't care when it is. Just give
me my two grand b so I can stay at
another night and go get a steak and lobster tell
dinner tomorrow night. Speaking of which, real fast, I'm watching
the highlights of San Francisco walk Off with the Turkey?
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Was it just me?
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Or did the what the packers don't get a turkey.
The Packers don't get a turkey? What the hell was
that about earlier today where they didn't give the Packers
a turkey but everybody else, all the other winners got
a turkey today. Wow, I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
You know, usually when John Madden used to do it,
it used to be tur Duncan you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yeah, but every game got win, is what I'm saying.
That's why today felt like a fumble dude. For honestly,
today the games. The Packer game was good, I give
it that, but nobody expected that the Dallas game wash,
the Seattle game wash. Like these games weren't even worth watching.
And we got Dolly Partner and Parton and Harlow, Jack
Carlo Day you go Jack, Yeah, and we got that
(04:28):
as far as our entertainment went.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
For I would know Jack Carlof he was in a
two person lineup. I want you to know.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Damn. How about a solo which a bed line is.
I wouldn't know Jack Harlow if he was in a
solo lineup.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
By by the way, you a shopper tomorrow for Black
Friday or.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
You know I bought t we purchased our TV early
lastly two nights ago.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Oh wow, So so be sure you got the Black
Friday deals.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Got a brand new fifty six inch Oh no, sorry,
sixty five inch Sony one of those Samsung smart TVs
Tike Eye have that?
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Nice buy too?
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Man?
Speaker 4 (05:02):
It loaded all to apps on what yes? Yes, yes,
four hundred oh get out of yes. That is super
unbelievable if I had a grand at of bought.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Two wow, because I have two big ones downstairs in
the man cave. But that's a that's a gadget. I'm
a gadget type guy. You know.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
I have two iPads and a Samsung tablet.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
No, but I mean no, no, I'm more like it's
hard to explain. Like if I'm reading, let's say, here
are the top twenty gadgets for twenty twenty three, I'll
just go through it and oh, I like this one.
I need an automatic wine opener, even though I don't
drink wine. Are you?
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Are you a sharper image fan? I love that me too.
Pull sharper image that. Look, the young people have no
idea what we're talking about.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Right.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
That's old school, right there, sharper image. Sharper image. When
you think about it was that was kind of like
what Amazon is. Before Amazon, they had everything. They had
quirky things you can buy. Remember the clock that was
like floating in the air. The numbers with the numbers
are trying to floating in air. Yeah, like the original
drones and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Man, yeah, sharper image baby.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Yeah, I'm not allowed to buy it anymore. Every time
I buy something, it's like it never turns out to
be what I expect. Or whenever I buy clothes it's
like three sizes too small.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
I'm always trying to I don't have one now, but
I would love to get in a smart watch game,
but I haven't found one that I like this. Apple
watches are too small because I'm six three two seventy five.
I got you know, big arms, and my Apple watch
would just look really stupid on my wrist. It would
look like a lady's watch. You know, women's watches are
normally smaller. That's what an Apple watch will look like
(06:35):
on my wrists. I want a bigger face watch because
my regular watches are big face tight watches. But I
can't find one that I like to keep my heart
rate and my steps for the day and my calorie
burn and all that good stuff. I want to get
in that game. But every time I find one, I
read some of the reviews and they're not so great,
so I don't buy it.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
All right, But well, by the way, if you're buying
something tomorrow for Black Friday, let us know that. Maybe
tip us off to something. We'll want to buy it
if you're getting a good deal again, big vanilla funny
and at stinking genius one because there's a big shopping
day tomorrow. That's why they got the Dolphins and Jets
tomorrow at three o'clock. They're gonna make a boatload of
(07:12):
money when they started taking all those orders. People watching
those games, you.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Know, absolutely, question to you, do you like that game
being on Amazon Prime? Do you feel like? Because that
now everybody like, if you don't have it, you can't
watch it. But why would you do that? For the
very first Black Friday game one hundred million four at one,
they paid one hundred million. Oh okay, yeah, that would
be that would be a good rule.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
So there's a rule that says you can't have a
game on Friday starting at six o'clock Eastern. So they
skirted the rules and put it at three o'clock Eastern
and went ahead and put it earlier. So you know,
I don't know if that's good. I don't know. I
wonder what the ratings are gonna be for that one.
I don't know if a lot of people are gonna
be watching. No, you will know, Aaron Rodgers, it's in it.
It's doing the shop just because it's Friday, this shop
(07:56):
the shopping day.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
I would have much rathered. I would have loved if
that was an eight eastern times start Prime time. It's
oh yeah, they ca Amazon Prime, right, so you put
Amazon Prime. But you're gonna show a game at one pm? Yeah, Like,
it doesn't. It just doesn't go together, doesn't fit. I'll
be here in the studio. I have it up on
my tablet because I don't think we have Amazon Prime
on the system and the TVs here. But I'll have
my tablet set up in front of me. I'll be
(08:17):
watching it with one ear and so I can hear
what's going on. So but I like Miami. I like
Miami by two touchdowns tomorrow, brother.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Big Vanilla funny. If you want to get in I'm
mistaking genius one. But what I want to talk about.
This segment is your Michigan Wolverines. And I gotta tell you,
I've never seen so much. I mean, I understand people
being on one side or the other, but my goodness,
the hate, the vitriol, the if you're on Michigan side,
you're cheaters. You know, it fests up. I mean people
(08:47):
like Paul Finebam. I mean, they want nothing to do
with Michigan. They wouldn't even put Michigan in their top
twenty five if they have I'm serious, I'm not getting around.
I don't if they have their brothers because they say
they're cheaters out there. Start with that vjcause I know
you're a big Michigan guy all.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
My life, man, since nineteen eighty three.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Okay, so here talk to Bernie an hour four in
the Bonu's office. He's a big Michigan guy.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
But yeah, we've talked Bernie and I've talked on the
side about it. Yeah, this is where I start with
the whole Michigan thing. I mean, you've played football, like
just sports period. When you play sports, you know what
real cheating is, Like, you know what real cheating is.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
So there's a little cheating in there's real cheat.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
Absolutely to me, they're.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Doing sixty six in the sixty five.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
And no, that's like doing seventy in his sixty five
or ninety in the sixty five. Ninety. Yeah, you should
get pulled over and get a ticket. Absolutely, that's reckless.
You could kill somebody. Everybody else is going seventy seventy three.
What the hell did you pull me over for? You
picked me out because we're all doing that now. That
guy that was doing ninety, yeah, go get him because
he's going to cause an accident. He could kill somebody. But
(09:49):
the rest of us are doing seventy five, sir, Like, yeah,
we're ten miles over, but all of us are. You
just picked me out. So what Michigan cheating is cheating? Okay, uh,
but we know what real cheating is steroid circlevent in
the rules, banging on trash cans. What the Astros did
that was real cheating, of course, But in the sport
of football, I don't give a damn if you know
I'm running, run right, pass right, I'm trying to get
(10:13):
to this receiver. Arnie, you already have game film on me.
You've already seen my signals, You've already seen my signs.
And I've never defended Michigan about this because if they
did it, they did it. My grandmother and used to
always tell me right is right and wrong is wrong.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
VJ.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
I got raised like that, so I stick with that.
So if the rule was you're not allowed to go
and record, and if that's what Michigan did, slap him.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
With a fine.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
You've already suspended hardball three game. Let's move on. But
if you're gonna try to get me to believe that
sign stealing is the reason why I'm running for over
two hundred yards and back to back years against you,
Ohio State, I'm embarrassing you on your own field last
year by twenty plus points, Ohio State. Because we know
where this is coming from. There's already another report that
(10:56):
Ryan Day hired a private agency to set up a
firm down the street from it inspir on. I don't
even have a problem with him doing that because I
get it. It's the rival where you do anything you can.
This job, this game, excuse me, costs grown men in
their families their livelihood. We've seen it. We can go
back to John Cooper. John Cooper had a great record,
but out of his twelve losses. Guess who. Nine of
(11:16):
them were two Michigan. That's why they fired him, and
he won almost one hundred games for Ohio State. It
was the same with any Michigan coach. If you can't
beat Michigan State, you can't beat Ohio State winning Big Ten,
you will be fired. And Harball felt that come in
until he said, Okay, I gotta go get me your quarterback.
Can't keep doing it with these fiftyear seamons. Bring in
JJ McCarthy. The signs stilling. Ain't guy, you think we
need signs to beat Produced, to beat Minnesota, to be Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
There was an article let him is, most coaches say
that if they wanted to, they can steal your signs
by the end of the first quarter, at least by
half absolu.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
Paul Feinbaum himself, speaking of which set his own self,
he slipped up in the interview. You can see he's
smirked like I might not have said that that he
had talked to almost every other Big Ten coach and
they openly admit we all steal signs, like we all
do it, but we cheat within the rules. That was
his quote, which means there's another coach that said this
to you, we cheat within the rule. Yes, we sent
(12:09):
somebody to go look at your signs. Okay, if he
wasn't supposed to record them, fine slap us with a fine.
You already suspended our coach, and let's move the hell on.
He needs the hell out of Ohio State on Saturday.
It's not gonna matter. Ryan Day's gonna be looking for
another job.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Why is he missing the last three games? Why didn't
they fight it more? It seems like they're trying to
think the NC double a well, it didn't seem like
they did their due diligence. And why would he get
suspended for all next year? What's that all about? You know?
Speaker 4 (12:34):
Well, the reason why you do it for these three
games is simply this. You're trying to piece the EC double,
which I think is stupid. So I don't agree with that.
And this is a first year. This is this commissioner
for the Big Ten's his first year on the job.
He is trying to make friends. He's not trying to
do his job, and that's the problem in every herb Street.
Joel Klatt, who's our colleague here, who I love to death.
I love watching them on Wednesdays in college, and I
(12:55):
love watching listen to him and Glenn and Gus Johnson
call game. There's no better team, just my opinion, but
there's no better team. I much rather watch college college
college football than those two general Right there, he sat
on college couch and said, listen, we like we we
we really truly all get what this really is. This
is a witch hunt. This ain't about Michigan. This is
about Jim Harball. This has got nothing to do with Michigan.
(13:18):
If Jim Harbo was at another power school, they'd still
be going after him. He speaks out against the NC
double A where he where the thing he said that
danc double A really hated. Remember the speech he gave
where he talked about giving players pieces of the revenue sharing.
You think the NC double A wants to hear that
speaking of the other network, the mouse, You think he's
just be yes, it's a witch it's a of course,
(13:38):
it's a witch hunt. Are you kidding me? This is
a what you couldn't easily just find them, and you
could have took some scholarships. Okay, fine, take five scholarships away.
You think that's gonna stop us from going to eleven
and oh you think five scholarships? Not to mention he's
only put what thirty NFL players in the draft? Oh,
I guess signs stealing made those guys that good that
the NFL guys couldn't tell what they were the chief
(14:00):
and still drafted him in the first in the second round.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
They may force him out of Michigan if you're good
to have told me that he's gone. He's suspended for
next year. He's gonna could be. So you think he's
not gonna because John Pierry Next year he's gone. Period,
He'll be the coach to Chicago Bears. Raiders. Wow, why
the Raiders?
Speaker 4 (14:17):
It fits?
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Well?
Speaker 3 (14:19):
The only reason I asked that if Tom Brady's gonna
be ten percent order of the Raiders, why is he
gonna bring Belichick? Because him and Belichick don't like each other. Well,
that's what I'm kind of thinking. All so I brought
that up with Mike last week. Though he's got quite
successful Belichick. No, no, yeah, but Tom Brady is smart
that that's old. Yeah, we did that, but we ain't
about to do that again. Michigan connection. Baby who played
(14:41):
who played quarterback at Michigan? Tom who played quarterback at Michigan,
Jimmy that Michigan connection. And it's the Raiders they he
what do they need to do?
Speaker 5 (14:49):
Right?
Speaker 4 (14:49):
And still what was every by saying? Antonio Pierce is
doing a great job at toughness. He's instilling that toughness.
You're tough for Piers? Why not though, because he love well,
that's fine, you can love me, but we can't just
give it to you off of that. When we have
a guy that's proven, we're sorry, you did a great job.
He'll get another opportunity. Hey, this happened with Dan Campbell.
(15:11):
Dan Campbell was the interim coach for the Miami Dolphins,
and you know what he did. We were on a
horrible loser street. Dan Campbell goes in, You remember that year,
we won like the next four games, and we were
blowing people out. But once it's settled down, you can
see we were still the same team. We just got
a new little shot in the arm because Dan Campbell
was a tough guy and got big trap pieces and
muscles and veins in his arms. It still looks like
(15:32):
the guy could play. And he talks tough and talks
all tough Middle America and people buy into that. What
the peers say when he took that, I grew up
in the hood. I grew up in Compton. I grew
up with n w A and Raider Jaggar. What does
Middle America Raiders fans?
Speaker 6 (15:46):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Yes, yeah, damn yeah, that's.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
What we want right there.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Yeah, let them losses start accumulating, Let them see that
he is not a head coach just yet. Start accumulating,
and you let Harball's name pop up there? Who do
you think that they won? In there? They're gonna go,
oh man, Jimmy San Francisco to the super Bowl, Jimmy Michigan,
back to the college playoff of Jimmy Stanford to rose
Ball Jim.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Yeah, we need yet. But I Harba wants to leave.
I think you're forced to them out. I think he
prefer to stay in Michigan and finished out his career
right there. Now, I agree with you.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
I think he would prefer to stay. His family all
lives there, His dad lives, his dad and mom listen
neck door to him, So he would prefer to stay there.
But he did interview for the Minnesota job last year. Well, yeah,
he did interview for them, and so you know, I
just got called the spade a spade. I love Jim
harball Man. I grew up watching them. I watched them
at Michigan, So I have a soft spot in my
heart for him. Just go get this championship, put it in,
(16:35):
Put it in bo shamp Beckler Hall in the trophy case. Salute, hug, everybody,
have a a few tiers and going and go back
to the NFL. Sir, you did what you're supposed to do.
You put Michigan back on top. You put a national
championship back in, back in the trophy case. And you
were you were excused. You excuse me your duty, sir,
Thank you, and move on and we'll just move on forever.
We got to move on. But he will not, I repeat,
he will not be coaching at Michigan Wolverines in twenty
(16:58):
twenty four.
Speaker 3 (16:59):

talent on it.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Alliight. Welcome back to tyreck dot Com Studios, VJ Husky,
Arnie Spaniaran for the guys, Jason Smith and his best
friend Mike Harbon. Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving out there.
Boy stuck up out of VJ Boom. It's gone all
of a sudden.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
You know, Tom flies when you're having fun. Man, this
is funny because well, not funny, but it's just really
cool and ironic. I never feel like I'm working. I never, ever, ever,
whether I'm calling games or I'm doing sports talk TV
or radio, it has never in my career felt like work.
And you're right. I look up at the clock now
(18:56):
it's nine twenty six. I'm like, damn, we're already two
and a half. We're two and a half half hours in,
got an hour and a got an hour and a
half to row.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
All right, let me ask you this because I said
this last Sunday on The Show with Chris Plike. If
Michigan loses, they're gonna be out of the top four.
They won't go to the playoffs. But if Ohio State loses,
they still might find the way to still get into
the top four. Do you agree with that or disagree
with that?
Speaker 4 (19:23):
It all depends on what happens in the Apple Cup Washington,
the SEC Championship game. There's some other games that still
have to be played that's gonna dictate what still happens
the Silver and the Silver in the Civil War.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
But those are the games. I think Ohio State has
a better chance of getting in with a loss than
Michigan with.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
A loss, well, because they strategically set it up that way.
They have Michigan sitting at number three, so if Michigan loses,
they would have to fall out. If Ohio State loses,
you can somehow fix your mouth to say, well, they
only failed to four, especially if way, somehow, while Zoom
knocks off the Husky pendix, Junior just doesn't have a
great day. And uh, somehow, some way, somehow dj U
(20:08):
Galle gets his feet together and actually uses his feet
and points to where he's throwing the ball and doesn't
throw the ball to the Duck uniforms at Allison on Saturday,
And then maybe you can say that when move watched
it up only by they only won by two over
Oregon State though, and I and here's here's my thing.
I hated the fact that they jumped Florida State that way.
That didn't make any sense.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
I didn't have a problem with that.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Why why because why because Jordan got hurt. Yes, that's
not fair.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
See that's not that's not right.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
Yeah, no, no, I see, And that's why this playoff
this and see, this is why I don't like that.
There's like this committee. It needs to be. I don't
have the answer, but it can't be what it is
right now. So I don't want to just make something.
I'm just bumble and ramble over radio. Them jumping Florida
State made no sense to me. And I know what people, Oh, well,
Jordan Travis is out, so now we have to go
(20:56):
beat Louisville to even possibly get back into the playoffs,
which is unfair because if you rewind your brain back
the last year. And I agree with the way it happened.
When TCU lost to Kansas State in the Big twelve
championship game, I came into the studio. We were all
talking before we went on air. Set hold on real
quick for going air, guys, TCU fall out. Everybody was
like no, I said, exactly, I agree with that. I
(21:17):
hope they don't fall out because everybody below them who
were losing and they stayed at number four even though
they lost to Kansas State and ended up being Michigan
and going to the National championship game. But because the
way the system is set up and they're trying to
give Michigan the royal shaft, they set them at three,
put Ohio State at four. Said it was their quality
to win against Nordre Dame. You mean that Nordre Dame
(21:38):
team that lost to a four lost Clempson team. Oh
it was Penn State. You mean that Penn State team
that all Michigan did was run left and run right
for an entire second half and still stumped them and
dominated them. Stanton passing the second half, run right, run
left here, we don't need to give you our signs.
This is what we're gonna do. Blakekorn left, Blake Corn right.
(22:00):
You still couldn't do nothing with it, and you knew
what was coming. So I do think the winner is
in because I don't think anybody in the West is
gonna be like I was, not beating Ohio State or Michigan.
They'll blow out whoever they playing in the Big Ten
Championship game. But yes, I will agree with you. Saturday's
game is for a guaranteed college football playoff spot. If
(22:21):
Michigan beats Ohio State, which they will, Ohio State's not
going to the playoffs. They did that with Ohio State
last year. They can't do it two years in a row.
Say Bama beach Georgia in the SEC Championship game, You've
got it. You know they want you. You know they're
gonna put Bama in over Washington, Yes, absolutely over. But
(22:42):
if Washington plays Oregon again in the Petwell Championship, Oregon's
gonna beat him again.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
I'm still waiting to see if Oregon's gonna get by
Oregon State this weekend.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
Or I'm sorry, reverse Washington beat Oregon. Excuse me, Washington, yeah, Washington, yeah, yeah,
I'm sorry you think Oregon State's got a show.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
I'm hoping because I need Oregon State to win. An
Arizona when an Arizona goes to the back twelve champions
oh and the all he lost to Washington by seven
points the first time around.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
What a job Arizona's done this year in football. Congratulations
to what a job that's that? And see, that's why
I don't like when people talk about coaching doesn't matter,
sits your ass down. Yes it does.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Well. I was just about to ask you, though, I
coaching doesn't matter. How much is the matter that Harball
won't be on the sideline?
Speaker 4 (23:27):
That would matter a lot, because I think Harball's worth
ten to fourteen points, just just having oh whoa, whoa, whoa,
Harball's worth ten to fourteen You gonna win tomorrow?
Speaker 3 (23:35):
How are you gonna win on Saturday? If he's worth
fourteen points and you're three to that point? Face because
we're gonna I ain't worried about that spread. We're gonna
run the ball day. You tell me what the spread
was the last two years. We're gonna run the ball
down their throat. We have the best offensive line in
college football. Everybody's healthy and back and Jay they've been
vanilla the last three weeks. They haven't shown anything. You
don't think they got some wrinkles. Remember he's still coaching them.
(23:56):
He can still talk to him all the way up
until Saturday morning. Can you talk to him at halftime
and stuff on it?
Speaker 4 (24:02):
I don't think so. Well, then they find some way
to knock us for that. So I wouldn't even do it.
I wouldn't even listen. Get on Skype or something like that.
Here's the cynical part of VJ. You know what I
would do. I would I think he's gone. Okay, I've
already stated that last segment. I think he's gone. Man,
I put an ear piece in or some or get
some some NASA equipment or some Federal Bureau of Investigation
(24:24):
little earpiece you stick behind the ear I still coach
from a hotel room in my house.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
Man.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Oh yeah, I'd still be calling play. Oh yeah, okay,
catch us on this one.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
You don't think that if there's something he drastically wants
to get to the coach, that he can't pick up
a phone and call another coach on the sideline to
pass the information over. I bet you there's a guy
just standing there with the phone taking text from harbod.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
Pass Berner phoneshones, throw them, get get those Barner phones
from my boost mobile.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
But but you're you're allowed to? Are you allowed to? Hey,
tell the coach to go on everything that's fourth the
three or or something like that.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
I'm not sure what the deep rules are. I just
know he just can't be there on this island. But
I will say this, I do believe that every scenario
has been gone over. He sat with Sharon, he sat
with Mike Hart, he sat with them. Every scenario that
could be passed on. It's been talked about, and they'll
they're either gonna win or lose. It's as simple as that.
I think they're winning. I know they're winning. But at
(25:23):
the end of the day, Harball's not gonna be there.
Sharon's got to be the coach. Mike Cart's right there.
But I'm telling you what they're gonna do. They're gonna
lean on the running game. You remember Blake missed this
game last year. You don't think Blake is thirsty four
hundred yard game against Ohio State in the game he
missed this game last year.
Speaker 5 (25:38):
Hurt.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
So I think we have the better defense, that we
have the better offense.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
What are the listeners like? I would love them to
tweet us because I'm kind of curious who the public's
like it on this one. I'm guessing Ohio State because
the line is dropping just a little bit. Do they
actually think Godhouse it's the better that's Harball hate or
is it because of Harbor? Harbor the next thing? So
let us know at Big Vanilla Funny, I'm it's think
(26:04):
a genius one. We'll come back. We'll continue going over
the game at some of the other games in college
football tomorrow. So we'll get to all that. But first,
what's trending out there. Let's check out with b Finn.
What's going on? Brian, what's going on?
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Arnie?
Speaker 3 (26:17):
And VJ.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
We did have one college football game. You mentioned college football.
Let's go right there. Although I probably should start with
the NFL, and if I don't, then I might get fired.
But just to sort of segue at it, you know,
you guys are talking about it, so I'll lead into
it here. The Egg Bowl wrapped up in Starkville and
number twelve Ole Miss with a seventeen to seven win
(26:39):
against Mississippi State. That makes the Bulldogs five and seven
and Ole Miss is ten and two. That's a second
ten win season for Lane Kiffen, who runs things down
there in Oxford, Mississippi. As far as the NFL is concerned,
we did see the Seahawks fall short at home thirty
one to thirteen against the forty nine ers. Rock Purty
(26:59):
did throw a pick six, but Christian McCaffrey had two
scores on the ground. Deebo, Samuel ran in a score
as well, and the Niners are eight and three on
the year, and with Seattle six and five now they're
Head coach Pete Carroll, speaking to the media afterwards, still
has a lot of hope about his team's prospects of
making the postseason.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
We got plenty of chances.
Speaker 5 (27:21):
We got plenty of chances coming up.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
This is playoff time every week, and we got plenty
of chances with the teams that will play in the
next month that are going to show us where we
are and where we fit with all that.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Well, where the Cowboys fit and everything is. They're looking
pretty good. Eight and three is their record after terrorizing
the Commanders forty five to ten. Dak Prescott four touchdowns
through the ear three hundred and thirty one yards passing,
also had a touchdown on the ground for Tony Pollard
to pick six in this game, favoring Dallas as they
run all over the now four and eight Commandos as
(27:55):
some would reference them as the Packers twenty nine, the
lines twenty two. So that's a final score. It's another
it's turning into a Thanksgiving tradition, the Lions playing in
the Lions losing Jared goff two touchdowns through the air,
but he did lose three fumbles as his stock has
dropped just a little bit here in the last couple
of games. As far as college basketball is concerned, a
(28:16):
lot of tournaments happening in the United States domestically also
in the Bahamas, which is where Memphis beat number twenty
Arkansas eighty four to seventy nine at Atlantis. Five and
zero on the year are the Tigers and a six
and oh start here for Arnie Spaniards. Wildcats pull off
a win in stunning fashion seventy four to sixty eight
(28:38):
against number twenty one Michigan State. Yes, you heard Arnie.
They're celebrating. Phil Nova fans a lot to celebrate with
her overtime eighty three to eighty one takedown of number
fourteen North Carolina. That is the yeah, yeah, Well, you know,
I went to UNC Greensboro, and some people think that
the tar Hills are the only school the University of
North Carolina, and how wrong they are are jeez, everybody?
(29:01):
And then lastly, look, I'll leave you with this, guys,
because I know you guys were all over this game.
Number twenty three USC with a seventy one to sixty
three victory against Seeden Hall and VJ and Arnie, as
I get back to you, you know, it's tough time
here in Los Angeles being a USC sports fan with
the way UCLA manhandled that football team. So I guess
(29:22):
they got something to celebrate and a basketball team wins,
So you know, you got to take your your wins
where you can, right Arnie, and and from somebody like
yourself who is now enjoying the fruits of an Arizona
football good season. But you know what it's like to
lose a lot of games.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Yeah, so USC, they'll get used to it. We'll see
if lacoln Riley is gonna end up coming back. I'm
curious to see what's gonna end up with him. I
appreciate it. Brian.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
You know what was cool about that game last week
was the narrative. Guys. Remember going into that game, Arnie
and Brian, the narrative was that chim Kelly was coaching
for his job. Right right as that game went on,
I sat on the sofa and said, I think y'all
are talking about the wrong damn coach. That's coaching for
that's coaching for his job. That is a mess, and
(30:07):
there's not a quick way to fix this. Malachi Nelson
is there from Los al Amios High School. He's there
as a restlaar freshman right now. But who's your quarterback
next year? Caleb's gone? Who's your You still can't stop anybody.
You're losing a lot of your weapons. What are you
gonna do with this?
Speaker 3 (30:22):
That's called the transfer portal?
Speaker 4 (30:24):
Right, it's about but he's still okay. He the transfer
portal's been out a few years. He still hasn't got
his defense right, be fans real quick. Michigan Ohio State, Baby,
you know I love your sports. Take special college football
you got.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
I'm gonna you know, I wish there was a way
that this game could finish in a tie, but because
that can't, I'm gonna go with Ohio State. And the
reason I'm doing this is because, as someone who has
roots with Ole Miss, I remember when Hugh Freeze was
the court early head coach at Old Miss and Jim
Harbaugh took shots at Hugh Freeze for the way he
was recruiting. And sure, Hugh Freese wasn't exactly honest with everything,
(30:57):
but it goes to show you everybody essentially is trying
to cut the quarter. So now Jim Harbaugh gets a
taste of some karma.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
No, And I'm not mad at that because I'm a
person that's like, listen, if you're doing something, keep your
mouth shut. Don't have an opinion, Like, don't don't have
an opinion. Man, Like listen, I don't have dedicated If
I was coaching a big ten right now'd be like, listen,
that's got nothing to do with us here. We're focused
on such and such. I'll let Harball handle his situation
an caa big tanna we're not getting because I know
I'm doing something here. So yeah, I'm with you on that.
(31:27):
But all right, so you got Ohio State, Arnie, who
you got? I need page all picks. Yeah, I'm taking Michigan.
I'm gonna go and take Michigan. I think they're the
better team. They're playing at home. I am worried about
Harbor not being there, big concern.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
I look, they're gonna have to get find the way
to you know, put points on the board other than
just try to run the ball like they did against
Penn State. That's not going to work all the time.
I think it's gonna be like a twenty four twenty
three type game. It's gonna come down to like a
last second field goal or something.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
Michigan by ten.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
All the better.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
We have the better quarterback, we have the better tight
end room, we have the better defensive line room, we
have the better corners on the field. Dave Marvin Harrison
Junior is a grown damn man. I love watching that
kid play. But he only had one or two really
big plays and catches against us last year. They'll Tampa two,
shade a corn a safety over to him. He's not
going to go one on one all day long. He'll
(32:20):
make a player two because he's just that damn good.
But they don't have anything else. And even with Trace
Sherman being back, I'm not worried if nobody can run
the ball on No one wuns the ball on Michigan
except for Maryland. But Maryland ran the ball on us
last year. Like Maryland gave us a tough game last year,
Michigan by ten.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
That pick six said they really could have made a
closer than that.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
Absolutely, but Michigan by ten. Now, if it was in
Ohio State, I'll be honest with you, if it was
in a horseshoe I'd be worried. I would be I'd
have the bubble guts. I would be worried if this
game was at the Horseshoe. But it's in the Big House.
Speaker 3 (32:51):
It's home.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
The rest can only do so much.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
Guys.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
I'm just telling you this was the wrong year for
Ryan Day to pull this, because if you had the
game at home, I'd give it to you. But you
got to come into the Big House on Saturday. Yeah,
Ohio State will play with a lot of adrenaline early, Brian,
I think the adrenaline will be up. They'll make some
still get they'll make some places and if JJ miss
is a guy, we gotta go three and out of
oh Yeah. But once the game settles in, dude, once
(33:15):
once the cream rises, you guys will see you guys
will be sitting home. Gun God, damn it. Vj MEJ
with his analysis. He nailed it again.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Pull zero. Pull up your Twitter account. I want to
read some of the tweets out there, and I'm a
little I can't really understand what sports Q road he goes.
I'll save you stack oh Jesus with my usual DIA tribe.
Does he want to bet you fifty grand and take
Ohio State?
Speaker 4 (33:37):
Is that what I don't know? Let me go look
at sports Q. Him and I are from the same area.
He's from the DNV. I'm from the DMV, he's in Ohio.
He's just a hater, bro. He's been tweeting and listen.
I made it a pack two weeks ago on Martin
and VJ. When I finally figured out he was a
Michigan hater, I was like, listen, man, we love you
and I'll show you love. And we're both from the DNV.
I love you, brother, but I'm not reading your tweets
on live national radio until college football seasons over because
(34:00):
you're hating on my boys. But uh yeah, I guess,
he says. Right here my usual diar tribe with my
man fifty grand. Oh no, no, no, no, that's uh
that's slang. My man fifty grand. That's that's that's like
reading about it. Fifty yeah, is each other bed fifty
no no.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
No yo.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
See that's Karla Brian. See that's Carma you talking right there.
He made fun of me earlier, like come on, I
thought you weren't here. I thought you were young, and yeah, right, no,
my man fifty grand was like a Jersey, New York
saying back, and it was like, Yo, my man, Brian feeling,
Oh you know, b Yeah, that's my man fifty grand, right, Like,
that's my man plus fifty grand right there. So if
somebody gave you fifty grand, then that's really your dog,
you know what I'm saying. Yeah, that was No, he's
(34:41):
not trying to beg me fifty No, he's calling me
his man fifty grand in all. But yeah, but we uh,
we we bump, and we battled a lot between Ohio
State and Michigan. But he's a good guy. We're from
the same area.
Speaker 5 (34:53):
Arnie, you have a flip phone, right, and you still
use the car phone as well. People line up phone.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
Okay, Arnie's got a flip phone, he he does. You
know you got rid of your page?
Speaker 3 (35:02):
No today you go, yes, I got rid of that.
I just pick up the phone and say just connect
me to phone number number seven that.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
I can't hit you on a hit no more. Oh
that means page because everybody worried on it. Okay, you
got that one. Okay, Okay, we had to. We had
a really back into the cool sigh.
Speaker 5 (35:17):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
At least you explain that to me. I'll tell you what.
We'll come back, we'll finish out the hour. We'll go
through some of the other games. There are some important
games we're getting tweets like crazy, so we'll get to that. Also,
all that coming to becks right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven
pm Pacific.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
All right, at the end of the year, first year,
Discover credit cards automatically double all the cashback you've earned.
That's right, everything you've earned doubled. Seriously, see terms and
check it out for yourself at Discover dot com. Slash Match,
welcome back to me, Jay Husky, you already span you're
here on Fox Sports Radio. Went for the guys, Jason
Smith and his best Treadmike Harmen a Tireck dot Com studios.
(36:00):
Well to get here. By the way, what are you
mak of that over under or somebody just Greg and
Iowa said, people are hammering the under for Iowa started
twenty seven and a half. Now down the twenty four
and a half, you're begging me to take the over VJ.
I can't. I can't take the under twenty four and
a half. I just can't do it, you know, at
in Nebraska to offenses, I like it. Yeah, you gotta
(36:24):
hope maybe for like a turnover or something that's just
too low waiting.
Speaker 4 (36:29):
No, I mean, come on, Iowa. And this was after
k mcnamir, who is their quarterback there, who's transferred from Michigan,
ran his mouth and said, oh, it feels good to
play with the defense that actually, you know, helps you score.
It's like, excuse you. You just played on the number
one rink defense bad to back years. Are played with
the number one rink defense back to back years in Michigan.
So that was his little jab at Michigan for not
(36:52):
keeping him and letting him go to the portal because
JJ McCarthy's the guy. And then they have gone on
to like average, a nice robust, like twelve thirteen nuts
a game. Oh yeah, keep your mouth shut, man, and
just be happy to where you are.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
All right, Tomorrow we're gonna have Oregon Oregon State tomorrow night,
eight thirty eastern. That's the big game. Oregon wins will
go to the Pac Trove Championship. If Oregon State pulls
off the upset and I don't think they can.
Speaker 6 (37:14):
No.
Speaker 3 (37:14):
Wildcats will go to the Pact Trove Championship if they
beat the Arizona State, which they'll go ahead and beat
like a drum. But I think that's too much of
a ture. Oregon State played a great game against Washington,
just fell short. I just think it's too much ask,
especially on the road, unless there's gonna be some real
bad weather.
Speaker 4 (37:32):
What do you like more the fourteen and a half,
the fourteen minus fourteen for the Ducks right now that
DraftKings has up over under sixty two. Man, they expect
some points. But this this Zona Sun Doubles game, it
is in Tempe, it is a team.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
They play off.
Speaker 3 (37:48):
They even gonna put out hold up, they play hard.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
It's a rivalry game.
Speaker 4 (37:52):
It's on the road. All okay, So they take this.
So are you telling me you guys cover ten and
a half? Oh easy, Oh, put it down. Oh we're
gonna beat up like a drawing better dollar. We're gonna
We're gonna go.
Speaker 3 (38:04):
Ahead and put it down. Beat upright, Well, we'll give
them the beatdown that they don't Ooh and by the way,
I'll be like crying on the air if Oregon State
beats Oregon because then I know they're none of the
Pet Trove Championship. But I I would take the fourteen
points with Oregon stead the Oregon could be uh, you know,
maybe a pack toward cover or something like that.
Speaker 4 (38:24):
Oregon's got dudes, man, Oregon's got dudes. They've got so
many guys that they can give the ball to that
can go not fifty, not sixty, not seventy eighty ninety
yards on any given play. Bo Nicks don't he got
a grandson in the league. I mean, the guy's been
the guys been playing college football forever. So this is nothing.
(38:45):
There's nothing Oregon State can do that they haven't seen.
Oregon State showed me how and that their offense can be.
Against Washington. They could have had that game, but kept
turning the ball over and for some reason, DJ still
likes to throw the ball into the ground and that
receiver's feeds and too high and not put it on
open guys. And Washington gets out of that game in
the rain, in the win, in a little bit of
(39:05):
that Oregon cold I've been up to. That part of
the country gets a little cold in windy and rainy
and slick up there. But I think tomorrow Allison Stadium, man,
excuse me. Saturday at Alton, it's just a it's a
I've been there in person. It's a crazy, crazy atmosphere.
They don't and they know they're on the cusp of
going to the Pac twelve Championship game, right and getting
(39:26):
to the college football playoff. They are not gonna let
a three loss Beaver team come in there in their
home field with all those weapons they have and beat them.
Speaker 3 (39:35):
Saturday afternoon, Alabama on the road at Auburn, Alabama thirteen
point favorite. One of the most fiercest rivalies. Now I
think it's Michigan Ohio State. I think I'm taking Alabama.
I don't think this one's gonna be close. Alabama gonna
run away with this.
Speaker 5 (39:50):
I like you.
Speaker 4 (39:50):
I like this one right here. And also to take
the over on a forty eight and a half, boys
and girls, ladies and gentlemen, take the over. Melver's gonna
put Melver's gonna put some points up. They found some
studs they earlier in the year. My knock was, I
just thought Milroe was a little young and his nfit
and his in his inexperience would probably cost them a game,
which it did. But they didn't have a Devontae smith, A,
(40:12):
Jalen Awadle, Michi A.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
Jones.
Speaker 5 (40:17):
Like.
Speaker 4 (40:17):
They've had some crazy receivers there right in the last
seven eight years, and you can go all the way
back to Julio Calvin Rially, they didn't have that guy.
They've had a few young guys emerge as like, Okay,
they they're learning how to get deep, they're learning how
to work defenses they were, They're learning how to be
wide receivers. Run your route, get open, make the catch,
tuck the ball, turn and go towards the gold line.
(40:39):
They're going to wipe Auburn on Saturday, so not even
not even gonna go in and be close on that.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
And Washington, Washington State. You mentioned the Apple couple. We
don't have a lot of time gonna be a close
escaping and blowout in this one close game. Is that
Washington State? It's I think it's it's in Washington.
Speaker 4 (40:54):
Is it in Washington?
Speaker 3 (40:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (40:55):
I wrote it down wrong. I'm sorry. Oh, since Seattle,
since Seattle, since Seattle was just spread what's the spread?
You got it?
Speaker 3 (41:00):
Sixteen sixteen? They cover all right three hours in the books.
The Bonus Hour coming up next. Stick around for that here,
right here on Fox Sports Radio.
