Speaker 2 (00:22):
Let's give this. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Alrighty,
I have a quick confession for you. Yes, I need
your help. Yes, so I am. I am losing stuff
like crazy. I'm getting old right, Oh, oh yeah, it
happens forty eight. Gotta stretch my back more?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Why you are old?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Told you so. After the game today I realized that
I had a loose twenty dollars bill in my pocket.
Say ooh, I don't want to lose that. So whenever
I came home, I was ninety nine point nine percent
sure that I put it in a drawer where I
like to keep things, Like everyone has a dad drawer, right,

(01:06):
Usually it's got buttons and I don't know, like nail
clippers and stuff you never used. So I slid this
twenty dollars bill in there. I can't find it, but
I'm not about to ask my wife because I don't
want her to know that I have a twenty dollar bill.
Oh what I'm saying? He got it because I know?
So can I go in there and be like you
guys find anything? I don't know what to do here

(01:31):
because I know she has my money, aren't he?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
My dad gets all of it.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
My dad used to hide his money stash in one
of his suit pockets in his closet, and one time
my mom found it and took the whole damn bankroll
and my dad was screaming bloody murder.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
It was crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Now, before you start saying, plank, it's twenty bucks, what's
the big deal? I mean, bro, come on, if I
have to sit in on the overnights, that four pack
of bush light is like four bucks. I need that
in case I get the call from uh Scott on
Big Ben mallor or when it comes to filling in
for Bernie Frattle. But yeah, so what should I do here?

(02:12):
Just continue to badly give her the twenty and just
play dumb. And if she's like where this come from? Like, huh,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Get a new hiding place is what you need, dude.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
If she found that in my hiding place, I'm in
big trouble. I'm gonna get one of the Bible.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
And when the Bible opens up, it's hollow inside.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Well, as we come to you live tonight from the
tire rack dot Com studios want to remind you the
tire rack dot Com. They'll help you get there with
an unmatched to selection, fast free shipping, free roadhazard protection,
and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tire rack dot com
the way tire buying should be. As Steve Desager told
you at the top of the hour, a pretty chalky
day in the world of college football. In fact, I

(02:55):
think pretty much all the favorites won Oregon thirty one
to seven of Oregon State Sawry Arnie. That eliminates Arizona
from PAC twelve championship conversations. Does it elevate in your opinion,
bo Nick's even higher in the Heisman conversation?

Speaker 4 (03:11):
You know, I think it does a little bit in
the Heisman conversation. But I'm really wondering what this guy's
going to be on the next level. I mean, you
talk about a guy that's improved ever since he came
over to the pack.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
It's unbelievable. I didn't think anything.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Of this guy when he was what in Auburn, but
now it's a whole different story. I would love for
you to find out if there was any projection on
him being drafted back then compared to now, and what
a big difference it would make.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
And it's like night and day with this guy.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
You know. I find it pretty amazing that the SEC's
best quarterback is a Pac twelve cast off, and maybe
for this year, the Pac twelve's best quarterback is an
SEC cast off. You got Jaydon Daniels that flamed out
at Arizona State. When he transferred to LSU, Everyone's like, Daniels,
you're not going to do anything. He might be the

(04:03):
Heisman Trophy win. Same thing with bow Nicks. So I
will say I think bo Nicks, it's more wild to
see him doing what he's doing. Arnie. He was thirty
three or forty for three hundred and sixty seven. But
that's the Oregon offense.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I keep saying to myself, you know what I mean, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
I mean that's seven incompletions and almost four hundred yards
of total offense.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
But he's got three scores.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
He's not doing that if he was the quarterback at
Alabama or anything like that. It just happens to be
the system. But I mean that's the system. He plays it.
You know, it doesn't make an evidence at this point.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
So every quarterback that's ever played for Oregon is a
system quarterback in your mind, even though it's been like
four different coordinators since Chip Kelly.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
No, but it does make you wonder, you know, because
they're so high paced too a lot of the times.
Though they didn't slow it up against Oregon State today,
they're just so high paced. Like I said, it started
off as I'm curious what this guy's gonna do with
the next level if he's really that good or for
a lot I had to do with this sys to
be well.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Well, can I can I ask for a pause? Can
I throw a challenge flag? Yes? Why does it have
to be the next level? Why can't you see what
he's gonna do in the PAC twelve title game or
maybe the playoffs?

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Oh? I expected to continue playing great. You know, he's
done that all year. That's that's why there are what
a five and a half point favorite over Washington That
surprised me a little bit. I thought it was gonna
be like two, two and a half three. I didn't
think it was gonna be that. I Todd said, maybe
go up to six or seven. That's insane, you know, right?

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Well, and let's remember these are projected lines. They haven't
necessarily been set yet, right right? Okay? Yeah, but I
don't see any reason why to think that it wouldn't
be that kind of number for the PAC twelve title game.
I'm just I like, how do you even know who
the offensive coordinator in Oregon is?

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Off the top of my head?

Speaker 2 (05:55):
No, Yeah, I mean I had to look too. I'm
not gonna lie, but it's Will Stein. But so does
does Kenny Dillingham? Then? Or is Jade Rashotta just automatically
going to be amazing tomorrow against Arizona because it's the
system that he ran into Oregon to. I mean, I
just when you say system quarterback, I feel like that's
almost Dare I say demeaning to what the guy's been
able to do.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
I Look, I'm not trying to demean him, because I
really think he's been fascinating him. Like I said, it's
night and day from when he won that went ahead
played in Auburn, So I certainly give him credit for that,
but it certainly is fast paced. He certainly gets the
ball a lot more. He certainly had a lot of
you know a lot of games where you could just
run up numbers with what they do there in Oregon.

(06:36):
So you know, all that does play in the factor
here a little bit.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
So the other college football game that we were watching tonight,
well there were two others, and they were both very ugly.
Texas demolished Texas Tech fifty seven to seven. In fact,
it got so bad that they were trolling the commissioner
of the Big Twelve in the fourth quarter because Brett
Yormarkt in the preseason talked to about Texas tex Joey

(07:01):
maguire making sure, Hey, I'm gonna be that Texas game
and I expect, I expect to be able to celebrate
with you. They got beat by fifty, so that was
pretty funny. And in Penn State be Michigan State forty
two to zip tonight. So in our three primetime games,
the closest spread we had was what twenty four points.

(07:24):
Penn State wins by forty two and Texas wins by fifty.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Always take Penn State coach Franklin since the two thousand
and five has covered the spread more than any other
coach in all.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Of college football.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
I don't know if you know that is that real?

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:39):
That is true, even in like Michigan Ohio State games.
In all games and fix two games, James Franklin has
covered this spread more than any other coach in college football.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Yeah, I thought I had sent you that. I'll try
to find it again.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Yeah, these there's nobody even close to what this guy does.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
It's absolutely no.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Wonder they keep him around.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
I was about to say they look at this guy.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I mean, we'll lose Ohio State in Michigan, but we
bet against us in those games. One quick note before
we get to the tweets to the show the win
by Texas tonight. There were reportedly Arnie like one hundred
and twenty six different potential scenarios for the Big Twelve
championship game. Yeah, but a majority of them involved in
Texas loss. So Texas wins tonight, and based on the

(08:28):
rules that are out there, if Oklahoma State wins over BYU,
they're in. If BYU beats Oklahoma State, Oklahoma's in. That's
it spread. What's the spread on that last I checked
was twelve and a half. Let me see if they
got a new number. Oh wow, I was off. Seventeen
is the number?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Oh wow?

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Seventeen?

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Ouch, good luck on that.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
So yeah, I think I'll be uh, I think I'll
be a little bit upset like you were tonight, watching
that game tomorrow night out of curiosity, because we're gonna
spend a lot of time coming up in the final
hour on some Ohio State Michigan stuff, including conversations about respect,
which I find hilarious. And I'm not trying to implode
your picks segment, Arnie, right, but any other college football

(09:14):
game outside of Ohio State Michigan and your beloved Wildcats
and the sun Devils that's caught your eye for.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Tomorrow about my Auburn I mean, that's it's always good
to see a rivalry like that, that used to be
one of the rivalry in college football.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Everybody'd be watching that one.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
But it seems like that's taking the back seat to
what's going on with the Ohio State Michigan game, is
it not?

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Or what? Yeah? But I mean think Auburn got beat
by New Mexico.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
I know, I know, but that again.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
You throw them out, You're supposed to throw them out.
Can I interest you in maybe Washington State Washington Apple Cup?

Speaker 4 (09:50):
Yeah, definitely the Apple Cup. I would love to see
it upset there. I don't think it's going to happen,
but that one's there's certainly a great rivalry.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Also, I love that one. All Sade Florida. I didn't
bring up each other.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
See that's what I was gonna ask you about. Next
the Backup Quarterback Bowl, right both teams are having to
play their backup quarterback. This is funny. I am a
big fan of Florida State's backup quarterback. I pronounce his
name a different way every single time. So I'm just
gonna warn you about that right now. But I believe
it's Roddamaker. Ted Rodemaker takes over Arnie. He made his

(10:22):
forget this note that I found this week, Taed Rodimaker
will get his first start since twenty twenty. Okay, when
he started in twenty twenty, Arnie, he became just the
fourth freshman, true freshman to ever started a game at
Florida State. Wow, isn't that crazy? With some of the
quarterbacks they've had. I don't know man, I think that's
a complete team. I think it's gonna be even though

(10:44):
that's in the swamp, and even though Jordan Travis is
out and everyone's looking for a reason to drop him,
I think Florida State's a pretty complete team. I think
they can still get a win here and force their
way into the playoffs with a win the ACC title game.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Yeah, I don't think I that was one of my
picks for the segment there, but you know, I would
love to see Florida able to keep it close.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Don't think it's gonna happen. I wonder what happened.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
I didn't see the beginning of the game last week
against Florida State where they got behind thirteen to nothing.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Trick plays?

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Is that what it was?

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Is that what got Alabama ran about ten trick plays
and all of them are, all of them worked.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
I would have loved and you know what, had stayed
a little bit close, like within a touchdown or two,
Florida State I felt with a dropped like unbelievably.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Yeah, I agree, Yeah, I agree. All right, Well, we'll
get to more college football coming up in just a bit.
It's already eve playing it.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
Can I give a quick shout out. Since we're talking
about rivalies. I know this is going to kind of
take a left hand turn and stuff like this. But
you understand now, there's not going to be any booing tomorrow,
right because according to the coach Popovich, you you can't
on boo. We're better than that. You understand that. Don't
you write no booing tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Well, I'm watching I'm watching the Spur right now.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Yeah, so I had that game on too. Good job
Papovitch is doing with the Spurs. I got to tell
you three and twelve.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Is what Why would we not be able to boo tomorrow?
Who san Antonio got tomorrow?

Speaker 4 (12:12):
No, it's just you know, when Popovich opening up his
mouth about the whole Kawhi Leonard thing and getting on
the crowd for booing and stuff, you think you'd have
better things to worry about, like his team in the
middle of like a ten game losing streak. I think
this guy is so out of line, Chris, It's so disgusting.
Here's a guy that beglittles the sideline reporter acts like

(12:32):
a horse's ass sometimes at the postgame conference, opens up
his mouth on just about every subject other than basketball,
but he's gonna tell the crowd.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
That don't boo when they pay good money to go
to the game. I think it's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
You know, well you are really mad about that because
that wasn't even on your road.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
I know, I know, I know.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
And he didn't even say anything to his buddy Steve Kerr,
who I'm very mad at, and taking a shot at
Scott Foster like that. The referee that that was an
out of hand. I'm surprised. Kurr's usually a laid back guy.
He kind of lost his marbles there.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
You know, you don't think there's anything to the accusations
by Chris Paul when it comes to that.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Oh yeah, I do.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Why wing to be bad for Steve Kerr to say that?

Speaker 3 (13:17):
What about his wife?

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Okay, so that's probably getting a little bit too care.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Yeah, that's getting you.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
Let me tell you something, if a referee said anything
about a player's wife, you get punched in the face.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Probably, Yes, yes, they would.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
So I thought that was out of WHI I thought
he was going to apologize for that. I know he
was trying to be funny, but the whole thing is
getting out had three technical fouls.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
I just I wonder.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
You know, he's got to be You got to bring
Scott Foster in and say is there gonna be a
problem the rest of the year or or can you
rev some of these games?

Speaker 3 (13:52):
You can't have this, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Wait, okay, so hold on here. I'm confused. You're first
taking a shot at Steve Kerr, but now you're asking
Scott Foster if there's a problem. Are we were usually
a ref killer?

Speaker 3 (14:04):
So I can't act like that. Though.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
You can't act like that, Chris, Though you can't. You
can't be talking like that to a to an NBA ref.
You could disagree and say you're allows a ref and
you're blowing every call and stuff like that. But you've
crossed the line when you when you're doing stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Okay, then what should be the punishment? Oh?

Speaker 3 (14:24):
I just assume they're gonna find Curb.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
But I haven't heard of anything yet, so maybe they're
not going to punish him at all.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
I thought they would give him a fine. Maybe the
NBA looks at it and says, huh, he might be right.
Maybe this guy is I mean, you're the number one
ref killer on this whole show.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Yes I am, Yes, this whole network.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
And now all of a sudden, because Steve Kerr makes
an offhanded comment, suddenly it's like a hand.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Out of hand. It really was.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
It just feels like we're really getting out of hand
when it gets to the referees. It just I mean, really,
there's a lot of vitriol get toward them.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
It's getting out of hand.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
And you know it was Cliff Paul who slept with
your wife and not Chris. Leave him out of this,
but it was, uh, it was like back and forth
when they're going at it.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
It's not so both the guys going through a divorce.
Suppose his wife is sick.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
You're not supposed to You're supposed to leave that stuff
at the door, right, Okay.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
So if if wives are okay, can you talk about
kids too?

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Why not?

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Oh god, you do?

Speaker 2 (15:22):
I mean you make fun. People make fun of Brownie
James and these kids all the time.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
What's different. He's an athlete, he's in the he's in
the lime.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Wile now you're starting to back yourself into a corner here.
Oh no, no, no, everything is fair game. But you're
gonna stand up for Scott Foster of all guys here tonight.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
You could rip Scott Foster. But just don't make it personal.
And that's what they did. They made it personal.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
I gotta have I have no problem with making it personal. Really,
why not do your job? You have one freaking job.
Do it.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
You must hear some good stuff on the sideline of
either team. I'm not gonna say Oklahoma, but either team,
and the way they talk to the reps.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
Down there, right, you gotta be careful now because refs
are super sensitive. I mean, it's the ree And I
don't blame him, I would be two, but I mean,
like super sensitive. So I just I don't hear anything,
are you. I don't know what you're talking. It's always yes, sir, No, yes, sir, absolutely, yes, ma'am.
You got it. He can, we can, I I gotta.

(16:19):
I gotta take from the NFL game today. You want
to do more Popovich bashing, I think I've done enough
for him.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
I'm I'm sure he doesn't care what I anyway, as.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Soon as I saw that the other night, whenever he
grabbed And by the way, can you all act like
you've watched a little bit of basketball in your lives
right just a little bit. I was, Oh my gosh,
I've never seen a coach do anything like this. It's
happened a lot. I mean, come on, yes, Billy Tubbs
grabbing him mic and got tossed out of a game

(16:51):
when he told fans to quit throwing things regardless of
how bad the officiating is.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
I mean, is it Sam Wise that says this isn't
Cleveland or what is it?

Speaker 2 (16:58):
That's right? That's right. I mean act like we've paid
attention just a little bit. But as soon as I
saw that, I was like, oh gosh, arn, he's gonna
be all over that right, trying to tell the fans
what they can't. Don't boo this guy who never played once.
He got mad here and decided that load of management
was a thing. Don't you boo him.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
You were the reason why you love Papavinch But you
tell you you came out to the Medians and I
don't know why he's playing.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
You were one of the reasons why you left.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Maybe Popovich looks over there and thinks, you know, I
put him in here with this big guy women Yama.
You know, it does seem like things are going too
well in La.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
Let's get him.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Maybe he's trying to pave the road to get him
back to San Antegoan.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Goodness, he's such a great coach. Otherwise, that's why he's
still around.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
We heard you. I think Greg Popovich is a good
coach with all his rings. We get it. You've you've
brought that point up many times.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
No, because he's not out a good team.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
Funny, when he doesn't have a good team, he's not
such a great coach anymore, you know.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Okay, Well, I want you to find me. I want
you to find me a legendary coach that didn't have
a good team and that didn't want great player who
and still won the championship. Sure, find me a great
I'll wait and we can sit here. I kick my
feet up because we'd be here for a walk.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
He wasn't a great team. He had one player.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Milwaukee had a three headed monster.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Arnie Honis all.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Right anyway, This is why I don't talk NBA with you.
All right, It's uh, I gotta break when we come back.
I got something from the NFL reaction today involving the
Dolphins and the Jets, and I want to share and
it's kind of a little bit of a shot at
the AFC versus the NFC. We'll dive into it next
the Darnie Spaniel. I'm Chris Plank on Fox Sports Radio.

(19:59):
dot com. You were close? What'd you say you thought
that number would be on an Oregon Washington five and
a half? Yeah, seven and a half woo in favor
of Oregon. According to fan.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
Duel, too many first number, way too many points.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
In that one. Wait, who's the undefeated team in this wash? Yeah?
Exactly won the who won the first game?

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Exactly?

Speaker 2 (20:21):
How many top twenty five wins? Oregon has no not
off the zero because the highest ranked team they beat
is Colorado And what happened to Colorado after they beat them?
Remember remember when Colorado was good at football and everyone
had coach Prime being the next ye head coach in
like A and M. They're not going to a bowl

(20:44):
game and they're not even close. So I like Corgan.
I think they're a really good team. But a seven
and a half. No.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
I did see a stut that said that teams in
the top ten, I believe sixty six and one yep,
and wins when they play at home? Six these six
and one?

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Well, hey, yeah, I'll pose another question, right, what's the
biggest up set in college football? This year?

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Has not been a lot, but it hasn't been only
any at all. Right, that's the problem.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
And when we're talking about now, I'm sure you can
be like, well, I was watching MACTIONIT and Central Michigan. No, listen,
I'm talking about top ten teams. Texas beating Alabama. I
mean that's some right, right, but that's still that's the
number seven team in the country right now, Oklahoma beating Texas. Yeah,
but that's still like the number eleven, twelve, thirteen team

(21:34):
in the country. Maybe the biggest up said we've had
was what Virginia beating North Carolina.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
I was gonna say that that's it, but nobody's paying
attention to that either, you know, nobody cares.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
I know that earlier in.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
The sixth that's the one that that's the one loss
in the sixty six to one?

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Is it really?

Speaker 4 (21:51):
Yes, that's you hit, that's the one loss, and that's that.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Just doesn't to me. Right now. I think this college
football season, well, it's fun. I mean, it's college football,
so it's always fun. We haven't had that chaos, we
haven't had that massive, massive, upset yet, Muns. Maybe it
happens this weekend, or maybe we get a chalky regular
season now, Ardie, I know we're up against it with
our update, but we haven't talked a lot of NFL

(22:15):
in the last hour because I think you're mad at
your Dolphins because they didn't win by enough or something today.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
No, they were just very sloppy.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Just was you know, a very game two weeks in
a row.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Have we played a.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
Bad team, have we played an average team? The score
might have been a lot different than this one, you know, because.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
You guys are crushing it against teams with winning records, right.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
Yes, right, all in three. I hear that all the time.
It's making me sick.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
But this, I don't know if I really bought this
too much. This is from a Bleacher Report article, and
I don't know why it peeved me off. Maybe I'm
like homering out for the AFC, but this article rights.
It was not the game between the Dolphins and the
Jets today. It was not the sort of clean, everything
is clicking sort of performance that we saw from the
Niners and the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. And it was another

(23:01):
example of how there is no flawless team in the AFC.
Right now, they kind of go and they fluff up
the NFC, and then there's this in the AFC. There's
shockingly little clarity, and Miami's win didn't help matters. The
Dolphins would love to be a team on San Francisco
or Philadelphia's level, and at times they've looked like they
might be. However, they've spent most of the season humbling

(23:25):
struggling teams, which doesn't provide much insight into Miami's postseason readiness.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
A couple things on that.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
First of all, just on the AFC overall, if Kansas City, Jacksonville,
and Cleveland, when the first five teams are going to
be eight and three, think about that for let that
resonate for a little bit. That's damn tough. As for
Miami not really beating the pants off teams, Are we
forgetting games against like Denver and stuff like that?

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Well, that's his point, beating the pants off pansies. It's
kind of how he laid it out.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
Yeah, I mean, look, do they have to get that
big team, that big victory again? I said the game
against Philadelphia, I was upset about the refereeing. They could
have stolen one against what Kansas City or sure.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
I don't think you could say much about the Philly game.
They just kind of got smoked in that game. And
Buffalo that was just smoked in that game too. That
was harsh. So it happens when you go through a
seventeen game season. You don't just get you don't get
too down on it.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
You keep moving.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
Look, Kansas City's a pedestrian, especially offensively when they scored
nine points a couple of weeks ago in one game.
So you just go through peaks and valleys during the.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Year, can I I don't. I don't know if I
came away like Florida with Philadelphia from Monday Night either,
right right, I kind of think that Kansas City slopped
their way into letting Philly hang around in that game.
But if you're just trying to say who is this
supreme being, No, there isn't an eight to one, nine

(24:57):
to one team in the AFC right now. It's just
not because it's a little bit more competitive and who
knew that Denver was suddenly going to play well when
they talk on a couple weeks ago. But I still
think it's up for debate. We'll take your tweets on it.
It's thinking genius Wan, I'm at Plank Show and everybody
should be following us to Fox Sports Radio. Will hit
those next, but first Steve de Sager kicking it. With

(25:18):
everything going on, including some NBA action in season, tournament action.

Speaker 5 (25:22):
Making it more important, right, and a lot of NFL news,
We'll get to the college football finals. You mentioned Kansas
City Sunday against the Raiders, and Raiders defensive end Max
Crosby with a bad knee miss practice for a third
straight day. He's listed as doubtful. Vikings wide receiver Justin
Jefferson with the bad hamstring, was limited in practice again,
so he's questionable for Monday night as of now against

(25:44):
the Bears. He's talking like if the hamstring's fine, I'm playing.
Stay tuned. Houston running back Damian Pierce has been out
with a bad ankle. He's questionable for Sunday against the Jaguars.
Texans wide receiver Noah Brown, with a knee injury, has
been ruled out for this weekend. Eagles tight end Dalls
Goddard is still out with a forearm injury. In the
team's defensive end, Derek Barnett was being waived. Rams wide

(26:07):
receiver Cooper Cup will play Sunday at Arizona after the
sprained ankle last weekend when he was stepped on while blocking.
Arizona two and nine. Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown with
a heel injury mispractice again, He's questionable for Sunday against
the Rams. Bengals wide receiver t Higgins with a bad
hamstring will be out again Sunday against the Steelers' chance

(26:27):
of rain for that game, Washington fired defensive coordinator Jack
del Rio and his defensive backs coach. Washington lost forty
five to ten at Dallas yesterday Today streaming only on
Black Friday, Miami Dolphins an easy winner at the Jets
thirty four to thirteen. Raheem Moster with two fourth quarter touchdowns.
With Stevan Hn out again with the bad knee, twenty

(26:49):
carries for Moster ninety four yards rushing, Jeff Wilson eleven
carries fifty six yards rushing. Miami scored a touchdown on
a pick six at the end of the first half
off a hail Mayors to a talk about loved this
one touchdown, three turnovers, but in a win because the
Jets quarterback was Tim Boyle sacks seven times, threw a

(27:11):
late touchdown pass but had two interceptions. The Jets as
a team on the ground ten carries twenty nine yards.
New York missed a pat kick. Four and seven record
this year, Miami is eight and three in Miami's next
three games are at Washington, against Tennessee and then against
the Jets again, So maybe eleven and three.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
So what do we have more in the NFL, bad
coaches are bad quarterbacks. I'm certain that this is definitely quarterbacks.
And we've mentioned the last Sunday Night how many young
quarterbacks have played this year as well?

Speaker 2 (27:41):
What were we up to?

Speaker 5 (27:42):
Nine rookies starting, not just like getting in to take
a knee. As for the college football yeah, every ranked
team that played today one continuing, and I think this
is still true. There's been no upset of a top
five team in any game any week all five seasons.
Oh wow, okay, all right, we got good matchups coming

(28:03):
up though. Next Friday, Pack twelve title game in Las Vegas,
Oregon against Washington, rematch of one of the games of
the year from back in October. Oregon now eleven to
one after beating rival Oregon State thirty one seven tonights,
and we mentioned earlier the reports plural that Oregon State
coach Jonathan Smith has emerged as a top target for
the vacant Michigan State job. Michigan State went two and

(28:26):
seven in the Big Ten, got shut out in Detroit
tonight forty two to nothing by eleventh rank Penn State,
whose defense had seven sacks. Number seven. Texas was up
ten to seven on Texas Tech after the first quarter tonight,
fifty seven seven. The final Longhorns will be in the
Big twelve final, maybe against Oklahoma State. In fact, guys,
the athletic has already pointed out tonight we could have

(28:49):
one awkward championship trophy presentation after another next weekend.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Can I just tell you if it's Oklahoma State in Texas,
we will have an awkward trophy presentation because Texas will
kick the absolute hell out of Oklahoma State if they
play them.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
So there's one, and then the commissioner they got trolled
tonight in the Texas home game, will be handing over
the trophy. The Pac twelve will have Oregon against Washington.

Speaker 3 (29:15):
We should be in it. We won the South. Why
do we change the rules this year? I have no idea.
They we're not going to be a Pack twelve. Why
would you change it for one year?

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Get the two best teams?

Speaker 4 (29:25):
I want a petition to let Arizona into the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Why would you not want to have the two best
in Washington?

Speaker 4 (29:31):
Because the rules the North against the South. That's the
way it does.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
What are you doing right the Big Ten?

Speaker 5 (29:38):
For example, we had the earlier conversation on the air
this evening. Why is Iowa get to be in the
final and Ohio State Michigan don't both get Well, that's
that's why. It's just what we're talking about.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
But this is the last year of the PAC twelve.
Don't change your rules for one year.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
And then the Big ten is going to change the
rules when the Pac twelve guys joined them. It's just
going to be one long conference. Fine, what is it?
Twenty eight teams at the beginning lost count SMU could
be in the American Conference Final. They are leaving that league.
That's a chance of an awkward trophy presentation that one.
There could be a commissioner Tony Petiti presenting the trophy

(30:16):
to Jim Harbaugh at the Big twelve final as well.
First things first, tomorrow on Fox TV. Number three Michigan
hosts number two Ohio State noon Eastern Time. By the way,
wins for Missouri and Oklahoma. Today for Tulane and Iowa
seventeenth ranked Iowa ten and two wins another low scoring
game field goal on the final play, wins at Nebraska

(30:38):
thirteen to ten. And you guys had referenced this earlier.
Arizona State's original quarterback from the beginning of the season
is due back in the finale against rival Arizona.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Just the time they get a beating.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
This is a guy, Jayden Reshada, true freshman, who had
missed the last nine games to the injury, and they've
had three other quarterback injuries. But he's been back at
practice and the quote Territorial Cup that's being contested tomorrow
will have him as the starter.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Apparently.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
Good luck.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
In the NBA, we've got two late games. The Spurs
that you referenced earlier might be losing an eleventh game
in a row. They're down at Golden State one twelve,
one oh six under thirty seconds left. The other late
game about nine minutes to go, with the Clippers hosting
the New Orleans Pelicans and after a well start. The
Clippers are leading hope. They just fell behind by two

(31:32):
ninety three to ninety one New Orleans in the fourth
College basketball Florida Atlantic beat Texas A and M in
a Top twenty matchup, and North Carolina beat Arkansas in
a Top twenty matchup. I will say as good tonight
as it was for Oregon football. Oregon basketball lost at
a Florida tournament tonight against undefeated Santa Clara eighty eight

(31:53):
eighty two.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
Santa Clara, the Steve Nash program that once beat Arizona's right.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
I said I would back to Vegas of one.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
Of many provinces not kept by a cercond co host exactly,
and Northern Iowa killed Stanford.

Speaker 2 (32:07):

You're not worried at all.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
About tomorrow with your no zero zero zero war about
that game. If we don't win by four touchdowns, I'd
be surprised.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Twenty eight point win easy, maybe more like five touchdowns.
Arizona State sneaky. Do you know who we are? You're
having one good season in elevee. You know we should
be in the top ten.

Speaker 4 (32:56):
Do you know we should be in the pack Trove
Championship until they change there's the rules on us just
to go ahead and screw us over.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
They changed the rules so they could get the two
best teams.

Speaker 4 (33:04):
Now, oh yeah, all of a sudden they're worried about
the two best teams, But the million years leading up
to it.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
They weren't. Well. The funny thing is the PAC twelve
whenever they said that you can go divisionless and they
I think they had to change a stupid rule. The
PAC twelve was the first one to jump up and
like we're going divisionless, when literally, if you look at
the history, Yarnie, they would have had the same championship
matchup they end up having in like ten of the

(33:30):
twelve year.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Right, this year they Woeah, this year is the one.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
They wouldn't, right, but they wanted to avoid that. No
one wants to see Arizona versus Washington again. They want
to see Washington.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
They should want to see Arizona and Washington. They should
want to see Arizona. Who could easily be undefeated right now?

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Okay, you've gone from being a top ten to easily
being undefeated, very easily. But you're not every college football
team sit here and say that.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
I want to tell you know what I want is
if Arizona plays Oklahoma in the Almo Bowl, I want
people to tweet in and come up with ideas on
what we could bet on because we need to have
a massive I think we should bet like a gazillion dollars.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Or I want to bet with you because you don't
pay off your bets a gazillion dollars, we're gonna bet no,
I mean you don't. You haven't quit and you put
your job on the line at least at least ten times.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
Bet our pink slips, let's bed our cars.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
You haven't. I think there was even a walking bet
that you didn't do. After Princeton beat Arizona. You're kind
of you don't pay up on your bets, aren't he
not true? I'm not I'm not gonna make a bet
with you.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
You gotta come up.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
We have to have the listeners come up with some
big well, they can come up with it, but unless
you sign it in, it's got to be a blood signature.
I'm not kidding. You don't pay up on your bets.
You're the worst. I don't even know. I don't know
if you really gamble or not. Because I don't think
you do well. Then well, has a bookie not kneecapped
you yet? Because there's no way you never pay on anything?

(35:05):
All right, Steve Seger is going to make sure we're
caught up on everything we need to know beyond just
the box score. Next with Arnie and Plank on Fox

Slash Match through the Wire. It's Steve de Seger. What's
going on, Steve.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
We've got the final in from Golden State. The Spurs
have lost eleven games in a row.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
No, no, I don't understand that.

Speaker 5 (35:52):
I can what eighteen one to twelve. San Antonio loses again.
And in fact, the rookie victor Wimbin Yama and four
keeps trying three pointers, one for six from long distance.
He has pretty good six turnovers in this game, twenty
two points and the late game the Clippers, he's better
than Michael Jordan right right, yes, alrighty. The Clippers are

(36:13):
healthy and losing to the New Orleans Pelicans. We've got
four minutes left, one oh seven ninety nine. Starter James
Harden is two of eight shooting for seven points, shocking
one of six from three point range, nine assists. Well,
the College Football News, let's pass along plenty o items.
First off, we had the game on Fox, the Oregon

(36:34):
win tonight. Brock Heward the analysts for that game. He's
going to be the analyst for the day game at
Washington tomorrow as well. Tonight number six Oregon beat Oregon
State thirty one seven. Number four Washington hosts Washington State
a day game tomorrow, but that's after Ohio State Michigan
noon Eastern time. Number two buck Guys at number three
Wolverines on Fox TV the late game on Fox Saturday night.

(36:58):
Remember nineteen Kansas State against Iowa State, and don't forget
FS one has four games tomorrow as well. Today we
had Nebraska losing at home. They are a minus seventeen
in turnover margin for the season now, which equals their
worst mark from the last twenty years. They lose another
close game, giving up a field goal on the last play.
Again Iowa thirteen to nothing. At thirteen to ten the final,

(37:21):
it had been ten to nothing I think earlier in
the game. Nebraska with three turnovers, twelve drives ten first
downs for the Nebraska offense. That's it, twelve drives ten
first downs, unbelievable ten points for the game. Nebraska missed
a forty four yard field goal attempt with about five
minutes left. I remember, wasn't it the Iowa game where
they'd had their guide had two field goal attempts blocked

(37:44):
and two kickoffs out of bound. So They used a
guy who's literally never kicked for them to bring in
for the game winner, and he hit it and was
mobbed by his teammates. The great stat from the Athletic.
If the season ended today, Iowa would have the lowest
scoring average per game by any ten win team since
nineteen seventy six because they're only averaging eighteen points a game.

(38:08):
Discuss they are ten and two, Nebraska five and seven.
So I guess no bowl game. I say I guess
because inevitably, yes, you have to be six and six
or better to get.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
We don't have enough teams.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
But if they don't have enough teams, there are too
many bowl games, as we know. If they don't have
enough teams, you'll see a five and seven or a
James Madison or somebody in there. Oklahoma's Dylan Gabriel, Yes
did play. Yes, had four hundred yards passing four total touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
So hot today he was on fire man.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
It was late first half, forty two to thirteen. Oklahoma
beat TCU sixty nine to forty five. Remember that big
Colorado tc game at the beginning. How things change? TCU
finished five and seven. Ladies and gentlemen, there was a
great matchup in the American Conference today between a couple
of seven and oh teams in league play two lane

(38:58):
at home beat UT San Antonio twenty nine to sixteen.
So Tulane will host the conference game in about a week.
But if you want scores, go no further than the
women's hoops game at number one South Carolina, and this
is with almost fifteen thousand fans on hand today. Final
score was one oh one to nineteen. South Carolina beat

(39:18):
Mississippi Valley State. I repeat, the losing side had nineteen
points and nineteen turnovers in the game. From three point
range they were one.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
They just turned it over every time. I mean, my goodness.

Speaker 5 (39:30):
They had eight baskets and nineteen turnovers in this game.
They never scored more than six points in any quarter.

Speaker 3 (39:38):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (39:39):
They finished shooting eight of sixty seven from the floor. Wow,
I mean wow, that's that's cold enough for the whole season. Honestly,
we did have Oklahoma hoops on a last second tip
in beating number twenty three USC seventy two to seventy
Sooners basketball at six and zero, and at this tournament

(40:01):
in Florida, Ohio State beat number seventeen Alabama and a
Top twenty matchup with Florida Atlantic beating Texas A and
m Remember FAU was in the final four last year.
Third place game in the Bahamas went to in a
Top twenty matchup North Carolina over Arkansas. As for the NHL, yeah,
we've mentioned it before, but the San Jose Sharks not

(40:22):
a very good team this year. And yeah, that's not
another win, but at least they outshot their opponent for
the first time this season, the San Jose Sharks, and
now they lost three, two at home, but they had
gone the first nineteen games, which is a record in
the last sixty years of NHL play, the nineteen games

(40:43):
of a season getting out shot.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
Well.

Speaker 5 (40:46):
The Washington Commanders fired their defensive coordinator Jack del Rio today.
They were allowing the most points in the NFL, giving
up a league high twenty eight touchdown passes. Miami easily
beat the Jets today thirty four to thirteen teen, but
Miami linebacker Jalen Phillips left with an achilles injury. Dolphins
our first place in the AFC East two games over Buffalo.

(41:08):
Jets have lost four straight and they'll play at Miami
in three weeks.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Great stuff, Steve u Man, Wow, wait, hold on the
bonus Bonus Hour. All right, I got a lot to
get to the Bonus Hour. I have my sheet of
Roman numeral topics that we're going to get to. We'll
fire through them all, we'll get your tweets, and we'll
get you ready for Bernie Fratto coming up in a
busy finding out Final Hour with Arnie's Picks on Fox
