Speaker 3 (00:31):
Et spoil back to throw. Look at four man rush,
they're chased from town, gets off toward the info and
it is picked off. Oh that's gonna get inter off.
He's had it and it's hollow.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
At the twenty, heybout thirty he's cutting back inside forty
of my New York for twenty five twenty on.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
The right.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Down A hey, what a py?
Speaker 3 (01:01):
What play did? We had all the big guy.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
Chasing them, all those big offensive live.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
But they had no chance to get them. Well, Clark
runs out at halftime.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
I have a great Thanksgiving because big ball is Jets.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Do you want to play the butt fumble? Anything else?
Speaker 6 (01:21):
You don't play an maybe a play here? Then Lens
Changes gets hit. The ball is loose and it's alive,
and it's returned for a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Welcome back. You know, maybe just not have the Jets
play Thanksgiving Day or the day after.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Thanks but celebrate holidays in spectacular fashoo.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Let me tell you something. You're gonna rename him for
the Jets.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Let me tell you something. We can start with the
Jets night because his game is awful. We're live from
the ti rag dot com studios.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Tirack dot com will help you get there.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
An unmatched election, fast free shipping, free road has a
protection and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tyract is the
way tire buying should be. But let me just tell
you this for the first time, and I can't even
tell you how long. As soon as they crossed the
goal line with the pail Mary pick six, I turned
(02:15):
the game off and I was done.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
And I didn't go back. I didn't watch the rest
of the game. I was just done.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
I'm like, you know what, there's certain losses that kind
of break you when you die a little bit inside.
Sure like Doug Brian missing those two field goals in
the playoff game against the Steelers about fifteen years ago.
Died a little bit inside the butt fumble. I died
a little bit inside because I knew they were going
to play that forever. And once that happened, I just
we were visiting friends and I said, let's what what
what game?
Speaker 5 (02:40):
What game?
Speaker 3 (02:41):
They were all playing games. I was watching the game.
What are we playing? Oh, we're playing Trained Dominoes. I'm in. Wait,
but I thought you're watching the game. Nope, I know.
I't want you to talk to me about it. I'm in.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Didn't watch the rest of the game for the I
can't even tell you first and alt, I didn't watch
the Jets because I didtly done didn't help with the
meat sweats, Yeah, sure, oh yeah, that definitely helped.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
But it was it was just I That's why I
died a little bit right there.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Like I always say, moments, I understand when fans just
get to a point where going, what am I doing?
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Why am I even really? Why am I watching? I'm done.
I'm done.
Speaker 6 (03:13):
I'm not.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
I really when I retire, whenever that day happen, whenever
that magical mystical day comes when I retire, Am I
really gonna say, Hey, now they can watch the Jets
on Sunday?
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Shit? No, never gonna watch them again. I'm never gonna watch.
There is the potential of just walking the earth like
Cane and Kung Fu. I'm never gonna watch them. Hey,
did you see the Jets? What's a jet like?
Speaker 1 (03:33):
You've been going from it so long, You've had so
many adventures and trials in your life that you don't
even remember what a jet is.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
No, I just I couldn't. I said, of course that's
how it's gonna go. Of course that's how it's gonna go.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
But again, if you're gonna have something, define your first experience,
I mean.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
No, I don't want to have anybody last Friday game.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
There's kids growing up now who are like you know,
who are now like in their early twenties, and hey,
what are the two biggest plays?
Speaker 3 (03:58):
You remember?
Speaker 1 (03:59):
The butt fumble and the fail marriage. Yeah, but you
got some holidays, doesn't matter. You now have a built
in excuse.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
To get plastered to forget about those plays. My entire forties,
the Jets did not make the playoffs. Some kids went
going their.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Entire middle school, high school, and college years never seen
the Jets make the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Wow, they've just think about.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
That, man, But also coming out of that espousing the
Homer Simpson value of never try why bother?
Speaker 3 (04:28):
That was I was done. I was, I turned off.
I said, that's it.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
I mean, You're not gonna go back and watch a game.
No because I want to be happy, And I'm not
going to watch wrestling.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
No.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
No, because I'm eating you up to see exactly how bad.
Speaker 7 (04:39):
No.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
I check.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
I checked at the end because Garrett Wilson in a
couple of fantasy teams.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
But I checked it.
Speaker 7 (04:43):
But that was it.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
That was I'm done, didn't see the rest of the game,
didn't want to icon Next he caught that touchdown at
the end, which was seventeen point game pretty good.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
The touchdowns all count. But where's he at? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (04:59):
But I was.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
It was so I was so depressed. I'm like, of course,
that's how it goes. And the thing is, I know
every Jet fan said the same thing. As soon as
he caught that ball, the just the the the hutzpah
and the and and the knowledge I could take this
all the way back because it's the Jets.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
And as soon as the guy I said, he's gonna
go all the way back.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Plays into the fact that he's gonna take it all
the way highlights all day, he's able to take it
all the way back.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
And the thing yet this is a nice little addition,
don't get me wrong.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
And the thing, you know, and but against other teams
that would have figured out And here's the thing is
all Tim Boyle had to do right on that play,
all Tim Boyle had to do was just force him
back to the inside because Garrett Wilson, who ran one
hundred and that play, would have tackled him. But no, no,
I'm gonna I can't force him back inside. I'm gonna
let him go around me and Garrett Wilson can't get there,
and we have the second worst play that the Jets
(05:47):
have in the past twenty years.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Because the butt FuMB will always be number one.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Yeah, I mean to be fair, though, I mean, Boyle
has seen so many quarterbacks blown up and he's the starter,
I mean, the question starter I do to say this.
Would I rather watch the second half of that game
knowing how it ended, or the rest of this game
with the Bears and the Vikings, Well, I'll tell you
that well, as a as a Chicago native, this game
(06:12):
I was awful.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
And see how bad this says.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Let's talk about your craptastic team, you know, this is
how bad your team is. Three as you're HEARDing the
updates from Steve to Sayer, all these long drives and
field goal attempts, penalties, uh, dropped intercept. They've caught a
couple of interceptions of Josh Dobbs and made it made
him look like he's turning back into a pumpkin.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
They held TJ. Hockinson without a catch in.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
The first half, all of these great milestones, and then
it was penalty after penalty, and they had several opportunities.
Josh Dobbs throwing the ball inexplicably into the flat lazy lollipop,
almost Mac Jones like, but they don't decide they don't
want to catch it, and they bobble it instead of
catching it cleanly. As I call for the third interception
(06:56):
off a tip pass of Josh Dobbs. Now, let's see
what the Bears defense that Bears offense this game. This
game is six three with two minutes ago in the
third quarter. Now I understand both team's defensive playing pretty well.
Sure right, they've both been playing with the Vikings defense
especially has been playing very well. But the Bears defense
is played well as well. But still man if I
said to you, Hey, I want to bet at any
(07:18):
time touchdown. Are you advising me? Yes, bet in anytime touchdown.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Are you saying no? Are you saying that includes.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Defensive players any touchdown, any touchdown, any touchdown?
Speaker 3 (07:27):
I still got any time touchdown? Yeah you sure? Yeah,
you had hang on thirty four minutes before and you
haven't got one. Yeah. It's like when you give me
a jar open, I haven't got one yet. You loosened
it up.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
And yeah, said they eventually, the damn's gonna break here
a lot of really really you think really?
Speaker 2 (07:51):
One?
Speaker 1 (07:52):
You think you're not telling me I need one and
a half. This is like watching one's like watching Iowa
play Iowa. And this is where this is where we're
at right now. The Bears and Vikings have entered a
four way Spider Man meme with the Steelers.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
And the hawk Eys. This is just awful. The Hawkeys,
who will play for the Big Ten later this week.
And again, No, I don't know what would what would
I rather do?
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Would I rather watch the Jets play that second half
that I didn't watch? Would I rather watch this game?
Or would I rather get some kind of advice off
the internet from sports illustrated. What's the what's the best
what's the.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Best thing to do that?
Speaker 1 (08:24):
I always problems coming out what's the best thing to
do there? I think you see what kind of story
you can generate from s I dude. If Rick Riley
turns out to not be a real dude and a replicant,
I'm gonna have a tough time. He was just an actor.
Did anybody hire when he needed to show up for sing?
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Rick Riley was on TV? Was he actually there? I mean,
we don't I don't know. Was he actually there green screen?
Speaker 1 (08:46):
What about Steve Russian, the guy that wrote the back Man?
He might have Max head the whole time. I don't
know that he's real. He may not be real. He's
married to Rebecca Lobo. Rebecca Lobo might not be real.
They can look at this man, I don't know, like
Rebecca Love Frank.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
The Ford might not be real.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
All the Sports Illustrated may not be real. Starting to unravel,

Discover Bank member fd i S reports out today that
Sports Illustrated has been using AI writers people who aren't
real that have bios created for them that you can
apparently buy the AI entity really online and that that's
(09:49):
how some outdoor articles and outdoor.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Columns have been written by Sports of you know, people's
reviews of national parks.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
And no, it's like the people they found out is
that they here, here's two people that don't have any
online presence, none of that, and it's it's the same thing.
It's there's no online presence. And when they looked and
found this person, they found that that AI was for
sale and so some we could be pay. We have
an AI for sale. This person's a writer and writes
for outdoors for Sports Illustrated, So okay, you can buy
(10:21):
this person.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
And this is a story of the Sports Illustrated today
and there's a lot of This is a huge deal.
It's a huge story, and there's a lot of controversy
about it, and we're just getting into.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
The beginning of it.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
But I will say this, you want to know where
AI was going to destroy the world. This is a
first of sports illustrated articles. Then it's skynet man, that's
what it's gonna be.
Speaker 8 (10:40):
Who plays, Who play, changing, Jin changing, Sarah Connor changing
ing changing.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Really, I mean when I saw that, I said, really,
they fake writers. I mean, now, it's good at least
that they're not didn't try to at least like have
fake writers allegedly write, you know, like articles on football
players or baseball play something that would get found out
pretty quickly.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
This is the outdoors. We're gonna write about the outdoors.
Talked to a guy. Oh wait, I talked to I
talked to a wolf in the woods today. He told
me where Bigfoot was. I'm going to find him tomorrow.
I know they they now they sound better, but I mean,
but that's kind of kind of the AI way to go. Yeah. So,
(11:27):
now now you've got the denials, you've got the union
up in arms.
Speaker 9 (11:32):
I heard Carissa Thompson was the editor in chief.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Uh no, she actually actually interviewed, uh the people who
have the AI and she didn't get him on camera,
so she just had the halftime report on camera.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
No on camera.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
There was no on camera, no on camera. Had to
take it on faith. Harmon and I are just on camera, Harmon,
I just on camera. So which which play upsets you?
Morris Smith? But the new one we just moved on.
Speaker 9 (11:56):
To the sports so like, you know, okay, I gotta
get down to the you know, the kid stuff, you know,
but this one upsets you.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
This one.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
This one upsets me more because I've been used to
the butt fumble now for a decade.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Now you grow numb it to.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
I got this one like now because I could always
blame Sanchez for not holding onto the bleeping football and
all kinds of crazy ass stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
This, I'm like, come on, man, bad news. I mean,
what what's that?
Speaker 9 (12:20):
The good news is you never have to hear the
butt fumble again? Okay, I just got to hear this
now it's been replaced with this.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Oh good.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Wait, So the butt fumbels out of the system for good.
I didn't sign off on That's what That's what I'll
take that win.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
ELL's he get decided what he take that. He doesn't
get to make that decision, Of course I did. It's
Ai Frostburg. He's not really here. He hasn't been here
in months. It's just it's just Ai justin. He's still
trying to save the penalty kick from Flowers. He doesn't have.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
It's Ai Frostburg, that's all. He's not He's not real.
He's not real, that's all.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Look, Mike, did you not hear me ask him which
one hurts his soul?
Speaker 7 (12:54):
No?
Speaker 3 (12:55):
I get that, but I mean, you still got to
keep it in the rotation.
Speaker 7 (12:58):
You know.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
Here, here's the right you want to know. The worst
part of that play was?
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Is that?
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Obviously, well, the embarrassment of it knowing it was because
it happened before exactly, because here's how bad it was.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
You've seen quarterbacks fumble the ball, ball get taken back
for a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
You've seen stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
But I like how they said, since the NFL has
been tracking hail Mary passes since two thousand and six,
they believe it's the first time that's ever happened like that.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
We can't go back.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
There's no like everything is on microfiche and it's from
the eighteen hundreds and you're in the fire like you're
in uh I was, I was in the library. I
know that the newspaper articles only go back so far.
It's like, you can't find out.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
You don't have the records. I mean, you don't have
the records.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
It's all about since since the NFL had been keeping records,
no one knows of a hail Mary's been returned for
a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
This is believed to be the first time.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
I remember, for a lot of years they didn't count sacks,
so they estimate guys sit sacks is a good thing.
It's like, Okay, that's fine, but the same thing. First
time since we've been counting, we're not and you know what,
we're not sure. Maybe it's happened, maybe it hasn't happened
since the advent of the hailman.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
We don't know. We know it could be the first
time that's ever happened before.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Yeah, I really need to uh up my game in
terms of the creatives of doing my graphic design and stuff,
because it is time to really be able to pump
out T shirts off crap like that really contestant Twitter
and out about a Fresca Mike, it's swallen down. The

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Good? Tick? Tick tick sick?
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Still feeling God's still there? I'm just gonna throw another pick.
The Bears with a field goal. This may have put
it out of reach. They lead the Vikings nine to three.
The Vikings need three field goals, two field goals in
a safety, or they need four.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Safeties if they're going to win this game. You started
to drift in like you were gonna say four safety.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
They need four safeties and pol A sass Well actually
need three safeties to tie for safeties to win. That's
what they need right here, anytime touchdown, any time touchdown.

see well joining us now on the hotline to break
down not just a big weekend, but a big Monday
as Frank Reich is let go as Carolina Panthers head coach.
(17:10):
As long time NFL insider Jason Locking for it. Check
them out on Odyssey, Washington Post, and now Jason Lock
and for are personally hired by David Tepper to take
over in Carolina. Jy Lock, Congratulations, good.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
Luck the job.
Speaker 7 (17:23):
I should be so lucky. Man hire me, fire me,
pay me to go away. Damn right, it's good work
you can get it, or good firing if you can
get it, I guess.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Or yeah, dude, who would want this job? Firing coaches
all the time, No guys would want it. Who really
good is going to want this job?
Speaker 4 (17:43):
I don't know. I mean it's look, there's people who
I mean a lot of them who are in the
coaching profession who would look at, you know, getting hired
to coach one of these thirty two teams as sort
of the coronation of their career.
Speaker 7 (17:59):
And their life's work, and.
Speaker 8 (18:04):
You know it, it.
Speaker 7 (18:07):
Pays really well. And yeah you've got to put up
with a tyrant Toddler, but there are no utopias. Uh,
we'll see what this job looks like versus the field.
I mean, obviously it's gonna, you know, somewhat depend on
what you think of Bryce Young. They don't have what's
probably going to be the first overall pick, which is
(18:29):
obviously a kick in that. You know, Watts. They didn't
gut this team as much as they could have the
last couple of trade deadlines. You know why Brian Burns
is still there. I mean it, it's not great, but
the end neither is the NFC South And the ball bounces,
you know, it's an oblong, oblong ball. It bounces in
(18:49):
strange ways. You know, things happen, and what will be
fascinating is just what this search is like. You know,
he really had to say for Ben Johnson of the Lions,
their offensive coordinator a year ago, and he didn't want
much to do with that job. And then you heard
a lot coming out about oh, he just wants to stay,
and he did, but like, would Tepper just keep throwing
(19:13):
money at this guy until he took it.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (19:17):
Everybody, I guess has a price. You would tend to
think it's going to be an offensive guy because now
you know they've set this up to try to make
this Brice Young pick look like it wasn't a total bust,
and I would guess. I mean, part of me is
like it would be a younger, cheaper guy because he's
(19:38):
paying two coaches still. But then there's another part of me,
and it's like, I you know, I don't think he
cares about that, so who knows. I'll tell you this,
I'll never figure out why he didn't just keep Steve Well,
I mean I will, but like if he had kept
Steve Wilcs, I guarantee you they'd have won more than
a game. I mean, I don't know guys, but he's
(20:02):
kind of like the Jimmy Haslm of the NFC. They
came from Pittsburgh, they were around the ruinies forever, right,
You'd think they'd know better, but they just don't seem
like they'll ever get out of their own way.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
You did quote Ted Dibiassi in the middle of that,
So I'd be remiss if I didn't reference that, as
everybody does have a price. How about one of the
great reclamation stories of the year, Vance Joseph doesn't get
fired suddenly the defense playing well for Denver, are we
ready to buy in on them as a contender in
the AFL?
Speaker 7 (20:34):
I mean, I think they're a contender in so much
as they're a team that could certainly get in the playoffs.
And that's not something a lot of people were talking
about over the summer. That's not anything anybody was talking
about when they lost seventy to twenty or whatever, you know,
down in South Beach. And yeah, the defense in particular
now being the strength of what has become a winning
(20:54):
football team and the hottest team in the NFL, you know,
or the second old if you want to say the
Eagles are hotter because they've been beating better teach or whatever.
You know, what they've done you can't minimize. So yeah,
they're viable. I mean, that tiebreaker with the Bills could
be huge, you know, the tiebreaker with the Browns not
(21:16):
so much because the Browns are only going to win
another couple of games without a quarterback. But I'm buying
what they're selling. They let you kind of run on
them between the twenties, but they stiffen up big time
in the red zone. They're not giving up offensive touchdowns.
I mean, I think they've given up eight offensive touchdowns
the last six games. They turn you over. Russe Wilson
(21:38):
does not turn it over. He doesn't cook, but he
doesn't cook himself. He doesn't bait in his own juices either,
and he throws the jump all the sudden when they
need it, and most of the time they'll just road grade.
He's gonna run Javonte Williams twenty times a game. He's
gonna get p Ryan in there a little bit, He's
gonna get the mclacher and get in there a little bit.
They're going to manage a close game and Peyton knows
(22:00):
how to win. So they've sort of restored a home
field advantage there now along the way. So yeah, I'm
I'm buying them, like, I think they have a very
good shot to get in the playoffs, and if they
beat the Texans this weekend, right that now we're talking
about another head to head tiebreaker, which as we know,
(22:21):
are huge.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Jason locking for NFL Insider with Us The Jason Smithson
with Mike Carmon Lott from the tirec dot Com studios.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
All Right, Marquee game of the week.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
We watch the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts come from
behind to win that big game over the Bills, and
the Bills are still trying to figure things out.
Speaker 7 (22:36):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
You know, for all this talk of hey, the forty
nine ers might be the best team, here come the Chiefs.
When I watch the Philadelphia Eagles, Jay, they always seem
to do whatever they need to do. I mean, I
know they're asking themselves, how the hell do we lose
to the Jets? But every game it's like, whatever we
need to do, we're going to do because we're just
waiting for the playoffs to really show you something. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (22:57):
I mean, look, I don't know if they're holding anything
back not, but they know how to win football games.
They know how to do enough to win football games.
And what I like about the most is sort of
what you're alluding to. They don't need to win them
one way. There's not like they're one of these teams where, okay,
they're really good, but this is why they're good, and
if it goes this way, they're great. And if it doesn't, boy,
(23:20):
I don't know. If they need to get down and
dirty and run thirty five times and win that way,
they can. If they need to throw forty five times
and win that game that way, they can. They can
beat you on the road, they can beat you at home.
You know. They tend not to let up nearly as
much as most good teams against bad teams, And everybody's
kind of gunning for them now and giving them their
(23:41):
best shot, and that doesn't phase them either. Finding a
way to win that game with Layton Johnson being a
late scratch was pretty huge to me. They can win
on a day when it's perfect to pitch and catch.
They can win on a day when it's thirty five
in sleading like yeah, I don't know how you don't
just tip your cap. I mean, it seems like everybody's
(24:02):
trying to find ways to ding them for this or
Dingham for that. Like at a time when not many
of these teams can win three in a row. You know,
for these they don't lose, like when the quarterback's healthy
the last two and a half seasons, Like we can
count on one hand when they lose, you know what
I mean. And one of them was the super Bowl
(24:23):
barely by three points to Andy Reid. Like it just
it doesn't it doesn't really happen, right, It hasn't really
happened since the middle of the twenty twenty one season
when they kind of embraced option football, and now they
don't even need to do that. Then it was like, well,
that's the script they've got to run in forty times.
Like now they they've evolved far beyond that. And I
do think the defense is certainly capable of playing better
(24:44):
and the offense is capable of being more consistent, because
right now it's a big playoffense. It's not really drive
after drive after drive, right it's like four drives where
they're going nowhere, and then one great drive and then
three drives where you're like, what the hell's going on here?
And then one great drive. So they're still they're pretty
damn good. And you know what, they'll probably lose to
San Francisco this week because like they're probably due to lose,
(25:07):
and then people will be knocking them, and you know,
I still think they're going back to the Super Bowl, go.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Back to the afced your neck of the woods. The
Baltimore Ravens. That game was not aesthetically pleasing. Yesterday they
get a w over the Chargers, their defense shows up
without Joey Bosa, but go into it. Finally the bye week,
get a full week off man, what do you tinker
with now in terms of that offense for Labar Jackson, Well, look, it's.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
The passing game. I mean it was in fits and
starts with Mark Andrews. Now without Mark Andrews, we'll see.
I mean Mark Andrews. You look at his percentage of
catches that go for touchdowns or first downs. It's far
and away the best of anybody who's played with Lamar Jackson.
Just his overall touchdowns, I mean thirty three from Lamar
way more than anybody else. And this was not a
(25:59):
down passing game to begin with, right, It's it's Yack oriented.
It's the flowers yards after the catch, it's Odell, you know,
a five yard slant that maybe he takes for another
thirty thirty five yards, And now you take away the
one guy you had to defend deep in the seam, Andrews.
It's a problem. I mean Lamar Jackson on third down
yesterday was one of seven for four yards passing. I mean,
(26:24):
not great, Lamar Jackson on balls that traveled eleven yards
or more downfield yesterday was one of six for twenty
one yards. Not great. You know, Nelson agilar is second
on the team in touchdowns catches with three, and I
mean he's Nelson Agoleres, So you know, Andrews had twice
(26:46):
as many. So that's where my concern is, Like, it's
a really limited, Yak oriented, spread it around passing game.
But if somebody wants to just take away the flowers,
they probably can. And I'm not sure who else is
really beating you.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Jay to Go.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
You talked about falling short a little bit here when
it comes to Bill Belichick, right, and we watch them
fall short again against the Giants on Sunday, got really
conservative down the stretch, was happy to put out a
field goal kicker who had missed one third of his
kicks all season. I mean, I get that there's an
interest in getting Belichick to be their head coach, but
(27:23):
this is not twenty thirteen. This is a Bill Belichick
that has just pushed the Patriots into disrepair the last
few years, and he's lost his fastball at the very least.
There's really a lot of teams who are like Hey,
we'll trade for him. We want him to be our
coach next year.
Speaker 7 (27:38):
Looks the trade thing is a foulacy. He's gone and
they're gonna let him go Like this is not He's
seventy two years old. I mean, like there's not going
to be a choice.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Will there'd be?
Speaker 1 (27:48):
I mean, there's really gonna be that much interest in
him after what people have seen the last four years.
Speaker 7 (27:54):
I don't know about that much.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
But we'll look.
Speaker 7 (27:56):
I think we're going to get eight openings or more.
Will two of them, you know, be happy to have
an audience with him and hear this out? And I mean,
have people talked themselves into things, you know, far crazier
than the greatest head coach of the salary cap era?
Like yeah they have. I mean Nathaniel Hacketts running an
NFL offense right now? So like Bill going to be
(28:19):
able to get a job, yes, Like do these owners still? Like, dude,
think of how many bobos Bill Belichick has gotten to
be head coaches?
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Think about that?
Speaker 7 (28:29):
Think of how many owners Bill Belichick has convinced people
like Joe Judge and Matt Patricia. Right, let's just start there,
have any business coaching an NFL football team. I mean
that stuff happened almost cussed like that he's had that,
Like that's how they eat out of his hand. And
(28:50):
you're gonna tell me none of them will give him
eight to ten million dollars to coaches their team for
two or three years. And they're like, he'll convince them
that I'm going to do in the coaching ranks with
Tom Brady did in the quarterback Like, yeah, he's going
to be able to get a job. Is he going
to be everybody's cup of tea? Like would it makes
sense for David Tepper? Like hell no, Like there's definitely
(29:14):
gonna be situations where it's not a match. But and
is he going to get the whole kitten kaboodle and
run everything and you know, decide who drives the team
bus and which hotel we stay in and you know
what I mean, like what colors the walls are painted
and all that stuff. Maybe not, but I think he's
going to be able to continue coaching, and I think
(29:38):
it'll be one of those amicable we've agreed to parted way,
you know, to part ways kind of things. And he'll
be a free agent and he'll be able to negotiate
the situation.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
You can fall him on Twitter at Jason locking for
that is at Jason locking for It. Check him out
on Odyssey Washington Post as well. Jay has always buddy
appreciated man. We'll talk to you next week. Fun.

driving after a couple of bouncy balls that were picked
(30:21):
off and not picked off again. This game is terrible,
but they trail by six. They do have the ball
deep in Bears territory as we close in on the
six minute mark of the fourth quarter. Again, anytime touchdown,
my garment, anytime touchdown.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
See how do you feel?
Speaker 1 (30:36):
But coming up next, we had an unreal weekend in
college football and the story that I can't believe people
are talking about. We'll get into that coming up next.
Right here, Jason and Mike fromthtirack dot com Studios.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Fox be sure to catch live editions of The Jason
Smith Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern,
seven pm Pacific.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
This really is the worst game ever? What the hesh?
Really is the word kidding me?
Speaker 1 (31:02):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with Mike Carmon
Live from the tire rack dot Com Studios. So, in
a game in which we watched the Bears get three
interceptions off tip balls, we have now seen Justin Fields
fumble twice. Yeah, after big hits and the Vikings recover
both of them. Fields was gonna get a first down
(31:24):
here scrambling out of the pocket. Instead, he coughs it up,
doesn't protect the football, and the Vikings have it inside
of midfield. A ten to nine lead, still about five
minutes left.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
To go in this game. This game is just awful.
One step slower and a bit of hesitation.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
He's got cole Comet coming over to seal it with
a huge block, doesn't wait for him and gets blown up.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
This is just this game.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
This Josh jabbs one hundred and sixty four yards, a
touchdown and four interceptions.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Terrible Fields. Now with two fumbles lost. We didn't get
our any time touchdown.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
We did know Jay Hawkinson did get a touchdown past
a few minutes ago, so finally had any any time touchdown,
which makes a ten to nine Minnesota with about again
out now we're getting under four minutes left to go.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
You know, after tonight, there's only one hundred and one
more games. That's it. That's only a one hundred and
one more opportunity if they're lower than this.
Speaker 9 (32:19):
But if they're all Jason, the real question is, Mike,
which quarterback are you drafting?
Speaker 1 (32:26):
He might draft two quarterbacks. It's fine, we're gonna go back.
We're gonna take We're gonna take Kayleb Williams and Drake.
We're gonna get them both. Taking your old philosophy from
a couple of years ago on the show where you
draft draft them all rounds four through seven. Nope, every
one of our first four round picks. If I were
to read the tea leaves right now, is that Fields
is the guy. And they put that number one pick
(32:48):
up for auction, grab a bunch of draft picks, keep
the other one, and then add.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
I don't know, man, not after tonight, I don't know
maybe not tonight.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
No, it looked great right started twelve for twelve, moving
the ball, stupid mistakes, miss field goal, missed opportunities. I mean,
Josh Dobbs did everything but hand them the game on
a silver platter, and.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
They said, no, no, we don't want it.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Because he had four that they actually caught and a
couple others that should have been going the other way.
They were too busy celebrating in their heads. What kind
of dance are we gonna do? What did we choreograph?
Speaker 3 (33:21):
I forget, So.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
We'll d We'll have more on this game coming up
in a few minutes because we have to. Well it's
on TV, so we kind of have to. It's televised
ten to nine Vikings with the lead about two and
a half to go, third and nine, so maybe the
Bears will get the football back. Meanwhile, biggest story out
of college football this week and again we watched Michigan
beat Ohio State for the third straight here and while
(33:44):
I'm not the biggest fan of how Ryan Day coached
that game for Ohio State, the calling for his head
by Ohio State fans Maurice Clarett, they want him gone.
I'm like you gotta take a step back. You really
got to take a step back.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Ryan Day is fifty six and seven in his career
at Ohio State. He's fifty six and one against all
teams that aren't Michigan or in the playoff. But he's
won in three against Michigan and he's been to the playoff.
You really think, and this is this is where Ohio
State fans are delusional. They're delusional that they think we're
gonna get a guy who's gonna come in and beat Michigan,
(34:21):
who not only is gonna win all of these games,
but he's gonna go win and beat Michigan. Yeah, like
this is not the case of hey, we're five hundred,
we're an eight win team and we're losing to Michigan.
We go get somebody else to come in and can
do it better. Of course, the guy's winning everything, you're losing.
I know that you were spoiled because you had a
two decade run of Jim Tressel and urban Meyer regularly
(34:42):
thumping Michigan. And I get that, and he got used
to that again after two decades, I would get used
to that. But understand, nothing lasts forever. Even called November rain.
Nothing lasts forever. And you knew at some point Michigan
was gonna win games. They were gonna want Now we
know they're doing it because they had the signals, But
you knew at some point Michigan was gonna win a
couple of games.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
We're gonna win. And you know if Ryan so if.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Ryan Day is two and two against Michigan, will keep him.
I mean, look at what he's done. You're not gonna
get better than this. You want to fire Ryan Day.
You have a much better chance of suddenly turning into
a program that maybe we're not the elite program we weren't.
Maybe now we're an eight or nine win team. Because
now we can't beat Penn State, and we're having trouble
with Notre Dame, we can't beat Wisconsin. We sure as
hell aren't beating Michigan. I mean, I can't. I know
(35:24):
the they're upset. I know all how State fans are pissed.
But this guy's a really good head coach. And look
at what you're doing. I know you haven't won big tens,
but everything you're doing has been great, and you've been
in the playoff. You're in the playoff ledgs. You almost
beat the team that won the national championship back to
back times. I don't get this whole hate. Let's fire
Ryan Day. Well, people get incensed, right, there was the fire.
(35:44):
Jim Harbaugh think a couple of years ago and on
this show said, calm down, Now, did I know there
was going to be a deflator? I mean, you know,
a Stallions and everybody involved in something crazy.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
No, but you've got to recognize who you are, what
you are, and what you have. The guy's got an
eighty eight point nine percent winning percentage. And then he
closes the losses. Okay, he gets to John Cooper territory
where he's two ten and one. All right, let's talk
about it then. But where you're at now, you're competitive,
You were a win a win here.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
Maybe a little more guts early on right midfield instead
of punting on fourth down, you go for it and
you try to maybe push off some of the we're
not tough narrative. A couple of times Marvin Harrison Junior
wondering how hard he fought to fight through a route
to go get the ball.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
But who are you replacing him with? What do you
gonna do? Unless you bring it back, Urban Meyer, what
do you got.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
You're not getting better. You're not getting better than Ryan
Day if you want to play, And that's just stupid.
Exit out bout a fresco exit, swelling down The Jason
Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon coming up
next and what it could be a scintillating end of
Monday night football. Plus yes, we'll have more on the
Bleeping Jets too.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
This is Fox
