Speaker 4 (00:45):
You know, you say, I never leave my house. I'm
going down to the Boston next weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
That's cool.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Yeah, I'm gonna go see Jim Gaffigan, the comedian. I
don't know if you ever.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Heard of him. Never heard of him before? Get out
of here.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
The guy's only been around, Yeah, Mike, the guy's been
around forever.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
The hot pot it takes till yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Yeah, he's funny. He is pretty funny. I'm looking forward.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Let me just get this straight real quick.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I take a look inside of Arnie's mind, because we
get a bonus hour here tonight, so we get a
fourth hour, which is awesome. Watch the Nuggets Timberwolves fun game.
So far, Timberwolves had the let's see updated score forty
four to forty Minnesota Leeds with two forty left in
the first half. Winner of this game is the one
seed in the West with two games to go, so

(01:27):
it gives you a leg up. I think you know
you might end up having the Lakers in the first round,
but still you want you want to be the one seed.
I disagree with you. I think you want to be
the top seed. But we'll see who pulls this out.
I've got what We've got some late baseball that had
been going on, so we got a lot going on
during the show tonight. But let me get this right.

(01:48):
You have now left your house twice in the last
three months to go see a comedian. But you wouldn't
leave your house to drive like an hour and a
half to go watch the Women's Final four.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Gonna go see Caitland Clark, but it was a three
hour drive. Okay, three hour.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Drive, but the tickets were pricey. They were, my goodness.
But you know what's so funny is the finals were
so much more expensive. I should have gone when I
had a chance to, because it was only like one
hundred dollars to go to that game.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I still, you know, it's kind of wild.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
I think it's gonna be fun to watch if this
momentum carries over for women's college basketball and then off
to the WNBA.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
But I mean, sometimes you just have fads that take
over and it's huge in that moment, but it doesn't
mean anything in the long run.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
Right.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
It's great for Caitlin Clark, but I don't know if
this suddenly says women's college basketball will have fourteen million
viewers regularly.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
It's not going to.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
But what's going to happen is if I said, Hey,
I'm home and I know that Caitlin Clark is playing
for the Indiana Fever in the game's on, I'm gonna
put the game on. But this's really not much competition
during that time. I'm not gonna go ahead and make
an appointment television like I did with the LSU game
against Iowa. But I do want to see how she's doing.

(03:10):
I do want to check see how many points she has.
I do want to see if she's dominating. And the
networks agree with me. They're putting the Indiana fever on
thirty six of the another forty games. Thirty six will
be televised, so they're really pushing it, you know.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
I'm just it's like everything has a purpose and not
anything and everything is a sign that suddenly this is
just gonna take off for US. Soccer was a great example,
right whenever the women won the World Cup the first
time and who has a Julie Fauti ripped her shirt
off in celebration. It's like, oh, this is gonna do

(03:47):
so much for women soccer. They launch a professional soccer league,
it kind of flames out, you know, and just doesn't.
It doesn't take Now, it's great for young girls to
see this and fall in love with the sport and
maybe that gets them to win. They want to do
this for the rest of their lives, and that's awesome.
But I just I think the WNBA is gonna get
a good bounce from this. But I don't know if

(04:08):
this has suddenly elevated the women's game past the men's game.
And I listen, I cover as my nine to five
covering women's sports. I just kind of laugh whenever people
are like, oh, women's basketball is gonna take off now
in college, I'm.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Like, well, we'll see.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
I just I think Kayln Clark was pretty much the
reason people were watching. I don't think it had anything
to do with anything else outside of her.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
That's just am I unfortunate?

Speaker 4 (04:33):
I actually agree. I don't think people are gonna continue Like.
I don't think people say, oh, I was playing again tonight,
Let's let's go ahead tune into the game. Though without
Caitlin Clark, nobody's going to watch it, Nobody's going to
pay attention to it.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
What's that going to do to the ratings? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
I mean, obviously it's gonna go down to what it was,
but my goodness, it was just unbelievable. Four million, just
about four million more right, you're one hundred percent right,
But I just I don't sometimes things can.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Just be what they are. Hey, this is a great
moment for basketball.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
It doesn't have to be this is a signature moment
that will change everything and how the game is view
I hope so, But I mean, just we we try
to create all these incredible Bell Cow moments.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
It's just you know, they're They're a moment in time,
and that's it.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
What are you doing if you're if you're Caitlin Clark
dead with all these offers? Are you taking the five
million from the Big Three or you take a ten
million from Dave Portnoy and Barstool Sports?

Speaker 2 (05:27):
If that's even real, I'm sure it is. He's got money,
he can do it. Yeah, what's his offer to her?
I didn't see what his was.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
From what I saw, ten million for her to just
play it in his in a mural league or something
to that effect. Ten million dollars, so you know, you
could laugh all you want.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
That's a lot of money.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Yeah, I mean think about that for a second. I
may take that over the five million with the Big Three,
and because I'm playing against a bunch of you know,
nobody's that probably can't play basketball, but it you know,
what about commercial? I mean, how much this guys, is
this girl going to make an endorsement. It's gonna be
through the roof. It's going to be crazy.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
It's been fun, right, it's been fun to follow, and
she's got me hooked. I'll be watching WNBA games, but
I don't think we're going to be at the point
where when Jason and Mike are in and then Big
Ben afterwards, where it's guys, the Indiana Fever. Let me
tell you something gotta make I just I don't know.
So I think it'd be wild, but I just don't
know if we're going to get to that point. What's

(06:27):
going on with the fever? Guys your calls at eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox. You know I did look
for their T shirts again tonight. They were twenty four
hours so still thinking about getting one. I like you
being hell bent on supporting the game by getting a
T shirt.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Well done, thank you. Well, what else am I going
to do? Go to a game?

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Yeah, exactly, to Indiana and go see a game out there,
though they probably play in Connecticut.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
I go out and see them when they play. The
Connecticut team aren't even playingking for Jason and Mike.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
You can catch us every Sunday night from ten p
to one a Central Time getting a little fill in. Tonight,
our buddy Bernie Fratto is up next for Big Ben Mahlor,
but Arnie.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Before we get away.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Sorry, Shady Sean from too much college basketball reaction to
Yukon winning the title. You know, you and I had
our show Sunday night. This is the first time we've
we've been able to hang out since Yukon dominated the
championship game. John Calipari was introducing how to play a
couple of clips from that in a bit, But what
you made.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
I thought the title game was boring as hell. To
be honest, I.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Thought the whole Final Four, like I said, you know,
when we're doing the show on Sunday, before we even
got to the championship game, put a grade out and
I think I gave it a B minus or something
to that effect. Overall the tournaments, you know, it was okay.
We had a few upsets, maybe a couple of buzzer beaters,
but nothing that's really going to be all that memorable.

(07:45):
You know, down the line out there there were some
good games, but the Final four that was just a
no you know, there was no doubt who was going
to win it.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Canetic.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
It was the better team out of all four of them.
They deserved it, so there was no suspense. There was
just an average up Final four.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Karus well, and it doesn't help whenever you have the
best player for the opposing team go twelve minutes without
a bucket, and still what did Zach Edy end up scoring?
Like thirty six points? Yeah, he goes twelve minutes without
a bucket. You can takes what was like a three
point game and it blows it open.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
I still think it's absolutely insane that people are saying,
or there's some NBA experts thinking that Zach Edy won't
even get drafted. I just I can't wrap my mind
around that, because, first of all, the guy's got skills
around the basket. He's got a good hook shot, and
he can use either hand. He's a good rebounder. I mean,

(08:47):
you can't teach height. We all know that. And you're
gonna tell me Brody's gonna be a first round pick,
but Zach Edy's not gonna be drafted. I just I
find the whole thing crazy. If I had a first
round draft pick, I'm picking fifteen through whatever thirty and
I need a big guy and he's out there and
I'm taking a pick, I'm gonna draft him. I can't

(09:10):
believe he's even gonna last to the second round. To
be adduce with you, Yeah, that's why you're not an
NBA general manager. Wow, because they do such a great
job on their picks. Anyway, some of these guys never
even make it to training camp.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Find me, who's the big guy that you see in
the NBA right now that just plays in the block
and doesn't have range and can't shoot?

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Who in the NBA?

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Yeah, because you're you're saying that he can change the game,
like Jogi can shoot threes and he's more athletic. I mean,
where's this You're like, oh, he'd have success in the NBA.
Everyone needs a big man, all right? Where is your
Zach Dye comp?

Speaker 5 (09:46):
Then?

Speaker 2 (09:46):
In the NBA?

Speaker 4 (09:47):
I don't know if I have a comp on him,
because you know how many guys are that big. When
you're that big, you certainly want to go and develop
your skills around the basket. Are you saying he's not
even worth a pick when you see some of the
questionable picks with two rounds in the NBA that it's
seven to five and he grabs a lot of rebounds.
I mean, who was the guy that the Celtics took

(10:08):
what was his name again that never really made it
the TV.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
He was like, you're you're not supporting your case.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Whenever you go to you go to the UCF Center
that the Celtics drafted.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Yes, what was Taco Fell? Sorry?

Speaker 4 (10:23):
Yeah, So, I mean, gosh, you didn't take a chance
like that. I'd rather take a chance on Zach Eaty
and see what he can do.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
I think he's actually a good player.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
But I mean, you said, take a chance on Taco Fell.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
But do you remember where he got drafted? Second round?
He got he was undrafted? Oh, he was undrafted. Yes,
you're kind of making the point.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Why I'm looking at it, Well, you didn't have the
numbers that Zach had, so I mean, come on.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Well, nobody has the numbers.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
He's one of the greatest players in college basketball history,
and because he didn't want a title, everyone just dumps
all over him because maybe it's partially because of that
kind of cheesy mustache that he has too.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
I mean, I let's just be honest.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Whenever Matt Painter said he's like a cartoon bad guy,
I don't know if I ever related to anything that
was more fitting. But I've scrolled through, just in this conversation,
about five or six mock drafts, and I see one
that has him going in the second round. So maybe
there's a chance that he goes in the second round.

(11:26):
I'm with you, with you, I would draft him. I would,
I would take a shot.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
So Bronnie James is more of an NBA draft pick
than Zachi who. I'm saying Ronnie James is going to
be a first rounder. ESPN Adam in the top fifteen,
and then.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
ESPN is dumb if they're doing who's ever doing that?
As a moron, I've not seen anywhere where Bronnie James
is a first rounder outside of people that might project
the Lakers taking him. I love lebron James. I love
Bronnie James. He needs to go back to college. He
needs to go. You thought you projected him going to Arizona, right,
isn't that where you think he's gonna end up?

Speaker 2 (12:02):
No, you would. He is twenty to one odds to
go to Arizona.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
I don't know where he's going to end up, but
I don't think it's going to be Arizona.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Though they certainly got room.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
There's a lot of people left, and hey, why didn't
he go to Gohad and go to Arkansas?

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Seems like they've got openings.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
You know, here is one projection that has lebron James
Son Broni as the fifty fifth pick overall in the draft.
That's near the last pick of the draft, and he would.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Go to the Lakers. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
I mean, I'm laughing at these mock drafts, and I
don't know why. I'm looking at a freaking NBA mock draft.
Why do you do this to me? But the Mavericks
with what would be the last pick at fifty nine,
taking Jamal shed who was the best player that I
saw in person this year. I mean, it's just the
NBA draft makes no sense. Can I tell you thet
I'm looking at? Yeahoos Sports right now. Yeah, I don't

(12:47):
know if we have a Fox sports dot Com NBA
mock draft, So I apologize. I want to give you
the top three of the top four picks in the draft.
Number one overall the Detroit Pistons taking Alex Sar out
of Perth, Australia, the Wizards picking second with Zachary Risacher,
and with the fourth pick, the Spurs taking Nicola Topitch.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
See how my top four went too? Right?

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Right, There's two Yukon players in the top five as
well too, Stefan Castle and Donovan Klingon, who can shoot
so yeah. There Reed Shepherd, who probably had the worst
ever NBA player our college tournament game for a star
player for Kentucky against Oakland, is rejected as the sixth
pick in the draft. Wow, make it make sense, On,
But I'm not disagreeing with you.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
I would love.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
I would love to see Zach Edy in like a
Lakers uniform. I just he can't be worse than some
of these sinners that get recycled constantly and their scrubs.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
You said, give me a camp. Are you saying there's
no room for a guy like that anymore?

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Seven to five?

Speaker 3 (13:53):
I think there's not. But I would sure love to
take an opportunity I should I should love. I'd love
to take it.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Show I give you a comp. How about this, Mark Eaton?

Speaker 3 (14:03):
When Mark Eaton playing in this a.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Jack Sigma No, Jack Sickma was a good No.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
He was a good outside shooter from the base side,
from which Seattle he had a good outside shot Jack Sigma.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
He did so.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Arnie Spaniard with the comp for Zach Eadie marks Mark Eaton,
who passed away two years ago, or.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Defensive Player of the Year many. He played his.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Last NBA game in nineteen ninety three. Because the NBA
today has played exactly like it was in nineteen ninety
THO exactly have to come up with a cop more
recent than that.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Man, Oh, he didn't score a lot. Matter of fact,
he wasn't even gonna be in the NBA. He didn't
even play much.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
What was it for what? UCLA or whatever? Yeah, yeah,
he's out of UCLA.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
He didn't play much for that, but all of a
sudden when he got to the NBA, things were different
for him.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Now, let's put a cap on our college basketball talk
with this Jason and Mike out.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
That's Arnie Spaniel Chris Plank.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
John Calipari was introduced to Razorback Nation tonight and when
he said this, it made Arnie Matt.

Speaker 5 (15:08):
You know what, I'm jacked about another opportunity.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Like I'm like, let's go. Now I met with the team.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
There is no team, so now I gotta.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Hunter's really extremely confident.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
But we got to get a roster together and some
of it, it's a little bit of everything.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
But we will.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
It may take a little longer because they're kids that
put their name in the NBA Draft that are going
to go through.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Through the process. I don't know why that correct? Everyone
is repurposed gets clipped there. But that's where we are.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Boy, yeh. Problem with that.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
They had eight guys officially going the portal, and I
think two more are about to enter as well.

Speaker 4 (15:52):
What happened to the other five guys that are on
the bench. They're just a bunch of nobodies.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
They don't well, Okay, if you take a job and
you go into meet with your team and there's four
or five guys in there, Arnie, are you gonna be.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Like, I'm at the team.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
It's great, we got five hole guys. No, you'd be like,
I'm out with the team. There's nobody free.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Didn't there. I didn't know was that dire for them? Though?

Speaker 4 (16:14):
You know how many guys are they gonna get the
transfer from Kentucky's going to be the question, and they'll
be able to fill that roster, which they will because
it's transfer portal. I mean, you just you're just ripe
for the pickings on whoever you want and get him
in there. And he's gonna have the money to pay
these guys in the nil money, so I don't think
it's gonna be that tough for him.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
They get a pretty good team off the back.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Yeah, I don't either, because it's basically free agency. And
let's there might be people that the big man that
signed with Kentucky has already asked out of his national
letter of intent. You don't even want to wait to
see who Kentucky hires.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
Why is Kentucky not hired a coach? At what's going on?
As it's Scott Drew? And Danny Hurley said no, So
what are we waiting on here? I don't understand and
I do. Scott Drew never went down there was that
a bogus store?

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Sorry?

Speaker 4 (17:00):
That because he put out some tweet about him eating
at some restaurant in Waco.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
So what's going on? Were we with that story? Right now?

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Let's dive into it next because there is I'm gonna
tell you something we're gonna learn.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
We're gonna lurn up tonight, Arnie.

Speaker 3 (17:14):

Plank Show. Everybody go follow us at Fox Sports Radio.
All right, Brian Finley's got an update coming up in
a little under ten minutes from now. But they've started
the second half and the nuggets of rally to tie
it fifty eight all with about nine thirty two to

(19:58):
go in the third quarter.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
That's a battle for the one seed in.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
I'm not feeling it, not feeling it at all. But
that's okay. It's still a big game. But I'm just
not feeling it.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
And I have it on too, I watch you. I
just I don't know if I'm feeling it's what's wrong
with it. It's not playoff basketball yet.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
Once we start getting in with the sixteenth, when we
start to play, Once we start that, then it feels
a little bit different.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
Did you know that your knicks actually have a chance
to finish as the two seed.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
Yeah, I don't want that to happen. I don't think
it will too, but I don't think I want that.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
Fifteen percent chance. Yeah, right now, according to whatever statistical
analysis at ESPN is put together, sixty one percent for
the Bucks to be the two seed, seventeen percent for
the Cavaliers, and fifteen percent.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
For your Knicks. Next is going to be the three seed?
Fifty chance, fifty percent chance.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
I still We were doing our show on Sunday night
from ten p to one a Central Time here on
Fox Sports Radio and Arnie when Seger talked about where
the Orlando Magic were, I was blown away to realize
that they're battling for the four seed right now. It
was like, what, but how shat can Penny do it?

Speaker 2 (21:06):
You know?

Speaker 3 (21:06):
It is really one of those is Dwight Howard come backwards?
Nick Anderson? And it's not a kind of tongue in cheek,
They're just they're not on national TV much. I don't
know if they've had a national TV game this year.
And honestly, is anyone in the East really got anything
for Boston? Is this a coronation in the playoffs for

(21:27):
Boston or is it about Philly maybe getting him beedback
and being healthy and maybe pushing him.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
No, I don't even think Philadelphia is gonna push him.
I don't care about Joel and be coming back anyway.
It's all Boston. I mean, then why did you not
want to then? Why don't you want to play him?
If you don't care about it? Why are you worried
about the Knicks playing them in the first round? If
you don't care about him coming back, the Knicks aren't
going to play Boston or even know Philadelphia Philadelphia. Oh yeah,
because I just wanted it a little bit easier.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
You know, then have to go against Joel beating okays.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
It kind of just ended early, so we have to
worry about the next round after that. You know, the
fact that Randall's not going to be there for the Knicks,
I don't know if that's going to hurt him as
much as a lot of people think. You know that
it gets a lot of other guys more playing time,
The shots are different. Randall holds the ball a lot too.
It kind of takes the Knicks out of their offense.
I think they've looked a lot better.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
To be honest with you, well, I'll add that whenever
you use the excuse that Julius Randall is out when
they get beat in the first round.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Make sure that we mark this tape so we.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Oh, no no excuses this time, all right, A couple
of quick tweets I thought this was this was pretty good.
You can find us at Stinking Genius one and I'm
at Playing Show. I think I've mentioned that a couple
of times, Big Ron Rights, Robert Williams or Luke Cornett
would be good comps for Edie.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Well.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Williams was a first round pick, so we'll see if
Edi ends up sliding into the first round. And in
Court's kind of a cool story because that's a dude
that had to kind of your knicks.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Actually is where he started.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
He's been with the Nicks, the Bulls, the Celtics, the Calves,
the Bucks, and finally back with the Celtics after playing
some time in the I guess it's still the G League.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
So those are pretty good comps, I would say.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
But I kind of with you on this man, the
more that we've been talking about it, I think when
we get into the pre draft process and NBA guys
get their hands on him and get to work him
out a little bit, I think to find out he's
more athletic.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Than he looks. I think he's I think he's got
a chance to get drafted.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
I do do we put such a lack of premium
on rebounding? If anything? Forget about scoring. The guy can
get you what ten twelve rebounds a game? Right, and
play some defense? Do we put do we say? We
just don't give a damn about that. If you're not
shoot the three, you're pretty much worthless. We don't need
you out of the court like that. I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
That's you.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
You pretty much hit it on the head when it
comes to the NBA today. Hey, you're seven foot four.
You don't have any range. But you can block shots,
and you can dunk, and you can play some defense,
but you don't have any range. Yeah, he can't play
with us. I mean that's but I'm with Itsane. What
did all final four teams do in college, Jarny? What
did their offense consist of running through a big man? Right?

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Right?

Speaker 3 (24:05):
I'm not going to say we're changing the game in
the NBA by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm
with you.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
I think he deserves to get drafted real quick.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
You sent me this during the break, and one of
the fun things to follow right now? Is Kentucky fans
following this coaching search? Oh yeah, yeah, it's hilarious. You
sent me a tweet from Darby Brown, who is the
sports director at kW t X.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
So this is a real account. It's not another fake account. No, no, no,
good job. She said, this plane.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
They're live at this private airport where a plane landed
in Temple, Texas, which I think it's fair to say
Temple is pretty.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Much on the outskirts of Waco.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
I'm going to say that even though I don't know that,
but I'm gonna say it anyway.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
What that it is is, Yeah, I just drove through it. Arnie.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
I'm spitting facts to you right now. I was going
to try to say it's halfway. I don't think it's
quite halfway to Austin, but she said. While Scott Drew
did not exit the plane, members of his family did.
More details coming up at ten o'clock tonight.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
From Lexington did not say that in there or no,
uh yes coming from Lexington, Kentucky. Maybe it's just the
coincidence and they were on vacation. Well I do.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
That was my first thought is you know, when you
have a major, high profile power five job. You pretty
much might have use of a private jet to fly
your family.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
Places, right.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
But if what she's reporting is true that members of
his family got off the flight and the flight came
from Lexington, then that seems to be pretty.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Solid that they might have their guy. My favorite part.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Of that that he stayed in Lexington and the family
came back, you know, Chris just not I mean, if
that's what you're insinuating.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
No, no, no, But I'm also laying out that at
least they were there to go see what's going on.
I think my favorite part in this is that he
tweeted a picture of him at lunch today and it
led to Kentucky fans not only blowing up the restaurant
and calling and checking on it, but some dude named
at jeff fan forty on Twitter like took a screenshot

(26:17):
of the TV that was in the upper left hand
corner of the picture and thought that the Family Feud
episode that was being played was from twenty twenty but
the Waco TV Guide said they were airing an episode
from twenty twenty two, and they went this in depth
to find out the picture was a fake. Well, coming
to find out the restaurant actually replied and said, no, no,

(26:41):
he was here.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
That picture is real. Wow. Wow.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
I mean there's track in private jets. Then there's taking
a screenshot and going into the Waco TV guide to
figure out if what was on TV is what actually
was on TV at that time. That's insane. That's that's
psychopathic behavior, and I'm here for it, you know.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
For some I guess some of the reports say his
wife likes Waco. They have a child that goes to Baylor,
and the other two kids are in seniors in high
school or in high school, so not seem to be
one of the sticking points. But I you know, when
when it comes to push and shove, the money that
they're probably going to offer him is just too much
to turn on, you know.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
And he's been at Baylor for a really long time.
I mean, my man's been there I want to say
for like seventeen years. So maybe he looks at it
and says time for a new challenge.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
Well, if they're gonna if he's still there, Let's say
he is still there and the family came back without him.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Well, I don't think he's there. I mean he was
he was in Waco, having lunch with someone, So what
are they going to announce this?

Speaker 4 (27:44):
How come nobody's breaking the story now even getting it wrong.
Nobody's breaking anything they're not giving us. Nobody's like that.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
In two days, we've we've diagnosed the problem here, Arnie,
I understand why you just want something.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
No, you know, you just said you don't care if
it's right.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
I'm ninety percent sure he's going to be the next coach?

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Are you not?

Speaker 7 (28:05):
What?

Speaker 2 (28:05):
What?

Speaker 5 (28:06):
Well?

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Who the hell else is gonna be all right when
we come back?

Speaker 4 (28:11):
What is am I wrong about that?

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Do you want to do?

Speaker 4 (28:14):
You want to make a better job, I'll take Drew.
You could have everybody else, Okay.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
I'll better jobs that you never quit when you've lost
and betting your job.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
So I feel pretty comfortable with him. Oh, fire the
update guy, all right?

Speaker 3 (28:25):
Tyrack dot com Studios Speaking of the update, Wow, Brian
Finley is in tonight?

Speaker 2 (28:30):
A lot of NBA to watch? What's going on with? Yeah,
there's a lot of NBA to watch?

Speaker 8 (28:34):
And I remember the low blow there from from you
are on the last hour about me calling like middle
school basketball head at least so.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
I said middle school kickball?

Speaker 8 (28:43):
Well, kickball at least that would be a better product
than watching you at the YMCA or anything.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
You ever.

Speaker 4 (28:48):
Wowt Hi, we had I had a game tonight did
I didn't go to because I had to do this show.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
But we're four and one. Here's the thing. I've missed
my last three games.

Speaker 8 (28:57):
It's funny because you might be on the team, but
you never play, so it's not like you're missing anything.
They have more I pay, so they have to play there.
Oh okay, well there you go exactly. Well, we'll get
to the Let's get to the basketball first. Here, we
have two games that are still.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Going on in the NBA right now.

Speaker 8 (29:13):
One would be the aforementioned Timberwolves and Nuggets contest seventy
to sixty five, the t Wolves in front five thirty
three to go third quarter. There, Anthony Edwards had over
fifty points last night. He's got twenty one already in
this game and halftime in Los Angeles where the Clippers
and Sons are playing a tight one fifty six to
fifty five. In the clips favorite Bones Highland, twenty four

(29:35):
points to his name. He leads the clip show right now. Earlier,
the Cavs crunch the Grizzlies one ten to ninety eight.
Hornets come back and beat the Hawks one fifteen to
one fourteen. The Hornets are now twenty and sixty on
the year. The Raptors get flushed down by the Nets
one of six to one oh two. Look at Anca
Chatty Cool twenty nine points in a Mavericks triumph one

(29:57):
eleven to ninety two against the Heat as the Magic
on the road. They get bamboozled and baffled by the
Bucks one seventeen to ninety nine. That's a final score.
No Giannis identa kumpo. He's not going to play in
that game or the final two regular season games for
the Bucks because of what the MRI revealed today in
that which came from an injury that he suffered last night,

(30:20):
in the form of his discovery that in fact, it
was a left hamstring strain that he suffered last night
in a non contact injury. And lastly, the Thunder with
a whopping one twenty seven to eighty nine win against
their victor Wembin Yama less Spurs one twenty seven to
eighty nine. Elsewhere, we are talking some baseball, and The

(30:41):
New York Times is reporting in conjunction with TMZ Sports
as Chris and Arnie were mentioning, where are the establishment
media in sports with this breaking news? But anyway, I
ba Mizuhara the now X trains. Later he got canned
after he spent a lot of time with Shoyotani as
the Dodgers slugger. Otani is but in regards to Missuhara,

(31:04):
he is in the process of pleading guilty to stealing
millions of dollars from Otani for gambling purposes, and law
enforcement now finding out, according to their conclusions, that Otani
did not have any prior knowledge or involvement in Misszuhara's
activities in which he spent millions of dollars of gambling

(31:25):
and gambling escapades Plank in Spainard, I guess there is
not a fall guy according to for sure. Yeah, I mean,
if there is one on the show, we know it's Arenie.
But wow, yeah, that's that's for sure. And then I'll
leave you with this, guys, just a couple of mentions
from some of the games in the Major League Baseball slates.
On this Wednesday, Dodgers fall on the road of the
Twins three to two. The Phillies fork up a four

(31:48):
to three win against the Cardinals a win and tendings
for the Mariners a win intendings for the Guardians. Padres victorious.
So were the Marlins five to two as they get
it done in moving to two to eleven after beating
the now ten and three Yankees, and that Mets Braves
matchup was postponed because of inclement weather. Speaking of inclement weather,

(32:09):
Plank and Spaniard looks like as Plank, I didn't know
you you were part meteorologists because the way you describe
the weather.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Alahoma BA got to be Yeah, weather aware, be weather aware.
I like that. I like that.

Speaker 8 (32:21):
That's pretty catchy. But that is in relation to what's
going on in Augusta. Obviously tomorrow first round of the Masters,
and as you said earlier in the show, there is
a lot of rain that is expected to come in
the morning. So as of now, the update from Augusta
is that they're going to try to get things started
in the afternoon that first round tomorrow, although they are
going to have an update at five am Eastern time

(32:42):
tomorrow in case anything changes, so you will get an update.
Then that's enough for me and my update, And according
to Arnie, I actually be fired.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Wow. Yeah, listen.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
He wants to fire everyone all the time, and it
gets mad when people are mad at him.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
So just it's it's it's.

Speaker 8 (33:00):
Does his wife every want to fire him?

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Wow? All the time.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
He'll admit to that. Are you still home solo? Are
you a bachelor, Arnie? Or is your wife back?

Speaker 2 (33:09):
No, she's back. I'm a bachelor tonight. Oh wow, look
at you? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
During commercial breaks, I'm doing keg stands ty shirt. We
we've got a stat we're having a party here while
she's gone. In fact, I was partying so hard I
completely forgot that my daughter needed to go to bed.
Oh yeah, you know, you kids, take care of them. Hey, listen,
it's almost eleven o'clock, Quinn, go to bed.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Here's some cheese. It's in a Disney movie. You have
a four year old?

Speaker 5 (33:38):
Right?

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Is that?

Speaker 4 (33:38):
What?

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Does? Nie?

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Was just joking? I'm joking.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
How about this? Do you know how many kids? I have? Three? Okay,
I'm lucky on that one. Have I got?

Speaker 6 (33:52):
What?

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Did I get it?

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Right?

Speaker 2 (33:54):
He got? Yeah? Arnie is still a kid. I barely
know howbody I have it? You know? Well done? Listen,
we got some good tweets.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
We want to get to We'll do it when we
come back, but before the break, I just want a
general question here Masters. Is you heard Bryan Finley bring
up we got weather concerns tomorrow. It looks pretty good
over the weekend. Does it do much for you? I mean,
are you I love golf?

Speaker 2 (34:21):
Right?

Speaker 3 (34:22):
I love I suck at it, dude, I'm so bad,
but I love it and I'm infatuated with it. I'm
eating up with it and I and I love watching
the tournament. But I have friends that will sit down
on Thursday and watch the whole thing and when they leave,
they got it on their phone.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Are they listening to it? I just I love I
love the Masters, I love Augusta.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
But I'm also one of those guys that if like
a Tiger isn't in it, or I don't know another
big name, I'm.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Like, I'll just suck catch the final three holes. I
will watch every hole.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
If you tell me Tiger's involved, I'll watch the Tiger
channel where it just shows you what he's doing and
what he's swinging out there. Otherwise, you know, I'll gradually
just kind of tune in, you know, give me the
good storylines, maybe watch a little bit of it. I'm
more consumed about the NFL Draft right now and the
end of the NBA because they're starting the playing games

(35:11):
on the sixteenth.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
But you know, it's it's okay.

Speaker 4 (35:14):
I just I would love to see Tiger do well,
but he's such a long shot. I just it just
doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
When we come back. You mentioned the NBA draft. All right,
I'm sorry you mentioned the NFL draft. When we come back, Arnie,
let's let's kind of give a little perspective on what's
real and what isn't. What are we buying and what
are we selling in Lion season? Plus your tweets in
for Jason and Mike. It's Arnie Plank on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Wow listen to you. Be sure to catch live editions
of The Jason Smith Show with Mike harmon weekdays at
ten pm Eastern, seven pm Pacific.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
Arnie and Plank and for Jason and Mike from the
Tirac dot Com Studios.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
So, Jason and Mike did work today? What was your.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
Analogy? Now, it's not an analogy, it's they do baseball
and basketball, like where the team that beat the team.
So you get a victory over them in some way
shape of yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
They well they filled in for Coveno and Rich Cavino,
and Rich filled it for Dan Patrick. So technically you
and I are filling in for Dan Patrick right now.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
He's like, for instance, people would say, well, Tulsa beat
UCF and you beat Iowa. So Tulse actually has one
over Iowa right now. So this is how you're figuring
this out.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
I'm not allowed to be in the studio with any
other host, update or producer.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Why is that just?

Speaker 4 (36:39):
It goes back to what I was gonna throw my
co host through a glass window in Dallas.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
But you couldn't throw any of the.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
Co hosts through a glass I was a lot younger
back then, stronger.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Also to the uh to the reaction so far tonight
on Twitter at Stinking Genius wan them at Plank Show,
everybody go follow us at Fox Sports Radio, Eric writes,
ARENI you left out a few former t Wolf superstars
like Luke Longley, Felton Spencer, and Randy Brewer. Gosh, we
could come up with some good random wasn't Kelly Tripuka

(37:11):
a Minnesota Timberwolf or was he a Charlotte Hornet?

Speaker 4 (37:14):
Whenever they first Gott though I had just known him
as a Detroit Piston.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
To be honest with.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
You, hold on, this is we're not going anywhere I
think he would. Yeah, he was a hornet because he
was made available in the expansion drive.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Gotcha? Gotcha? See you learned how a score people don't
realize that.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
How dare you leave out Felton Spencer when talking to
Minnesota Timberwolf creates four million dollars over eight years with
showhy It is understandable if you trusted someone who was
your friend and employee, But when you have fifty million
dollars in the bank, I honestly don't know how you
don't know.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
It's a lot of money, though, you know.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
Four and a half million, and they spanned it out
over what eight years that they decided, like Jason brought
up on Twitter, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
And the turn you got the alerts turned off so
show I could never see the orders can.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
See the alerts turned off on the story. I can't
find that anywhere. I'd like that is that's fascinating to me?

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Yeah, no, it did.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
I read it on some fake account. I'm sure that's
what I'm worried about, right, No, No, no, that is that
is part of the story.

Speaker 3 (38:18):
Uh, the weed smoker writes Otani paid his former interpreter
a few million under the table to be the fall guy.
There's no way show allegedly didn't know about the four
point five million gambling losses.

Speaker 4 (38:31):
No, it would come back to him. And like I said,
the Feds don't say, well, if you've got a fall guy,
we could just stop the investigation. We we don't have
to go any further because we don't care about the truth.
We just need to arrest somebody. And if you've got
that person, we're good with that. That doesn't it doesn't
work like that.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
Hey, we're in the midst of this and oh, hold on,
what you got a fall guy investigation over.

Speaker 4 (38:57):
A press conference today? And what does it work that way?

Speaker 3 (39:03):
And Doug is very angry with us, He writes, This
is why I almost never listen to Fox Sports Radio
after March Madness through early August.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
When you think a draft.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
Is more important than golf's biggest event, you're doing more
drugs and alcohol than anyone on an Andy Reid coach.

Speaker 4 (39:22):
What would the draft? What's the NFL draft going to draw?
In the ratings compared to the Masters.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
It's going to smoke it.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Oh God, it's going to smoke it like the weed
smoker is smoking blunts tonight. I mean that's I if
you're a golf enthusiast, I understand where you're like, how
in the world could you're not want to be talking
about the Masters and all these sorts?

Speaker 2 (39:46):
I get it, I understand it. Doug. I'm not gonna
be able to sell you on that.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
I'm here to tell you right now, there's infinitely more
reaction conversations, uh topics around the draft consistently in passion
than there is around golf.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
The only thing you'll be talking about the Masters is
if Scheffler is leading and he asks to leave to
go be with his wife to have a baby, people
are gonna debate it, going should he go, should he stay?
He's leading, he's not leading. You know, it's his verse
baby blah blah blah. You know that That's the only
thing they're gonna talk about. They're not gonna be talking
about the tournament.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Yeah, he has also won the Masters before, you know,
Scottie Scheffler, at least right the Texas lum he's won
the Masters before.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
It's his only major title.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
So if he's if he's leading like you have brought up,
which I think is an awesomely wild scenario, right, if
he's leading with like three holes to go, you might
be able to say, Babe, hold off on that, all right,
you just you just wait, you hold that in so
I can get there, Because I mean, question, hand in,

(40:52):
here are the wifes having these babies in Augusta?

Speaker 2 (40:56):
Are they there in Augusta for that? Scottie Scheffler and
Sam Burns.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
I have no idea, but I'm gonna say I don't
think so.

Speaker 3 (41:02):
Right, I mean, so they've still got to get on
a plane and go somewhere to get.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
There in time? Right? Right?

Speaker 3 (41:10):
Do you remember I found this story because I always
I laughed because I remember the debates that were around
when the Houston Oilers lost their mind because David Williams
missed a game so he could beat.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
A birth of his son. Right I remember that, Yes.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
Like they were saying, we're gonna dock him a paycheck
where he shouldn't be missing a game.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
We've come a long way since nineteen nineteen.

Speaker 4 (41:32):
Oh my goodness, could you imagine if a team was
doing that now?

Speaker 2 (41:36):
Geez?

Speaker 3 (41:37):
Think of golf like just for a moment, like it's
a team sport and one of these guys like, hey,
my wife's having a kid, I gotta go, And the
