We'll have more in the big basketball story coming up
in a few minutes. The Knicks getting mcl bridge. Look
the Knicks getting Michel Bridges, the Mets beat the Yankees.
Aaron Rodgers doesn't do an interview. Today was a good
hey man like ice cube. Today was a good day.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
I can't really think of anything negative outside of that.
Aaron Judge grand Slam. Yeah, that was That was tary
that was temporary. Everything coming up. I got to see
a couple of live glove checks and nothing came back
negative there, so that's good. You know, day one without
an incident, or day two.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
There's rolland seven's when sports Man sports Smith rolling seventh
rolling seven.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Yeah, oh, incident today, So that's good for you, which
means you know, enjoy it.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
It has been some kind And again other big NBA
stories too. Woe just tweeting out about potentially the Rockets
want to go after Kevin Durant, but maybe that's a
deal that gets done sometime during the season. Again, there's
a little bit that story is a developing one. We'll
get to coming up in a few minutes. But look,
we lost a legend today.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
And you know, whatever you you.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Watched wrestling, whether you're Mike and I's age, whether you
came up younger, and you watch Roman reigns uh Sika
of the Wild Samoans passed away. Today Roman reigns his dad,
and you know, it's just it's just stunning to see
this and I and and you know, we keep seeing
these wrestlers from our era pass away and it's just
so sad and and you know, I feel like, is
(02:23):
Hulk Hogan gonna be the last Like he's gonna be
the last guy left? Like, is he gonna be last
guy standing? It's gonna be Hulk Hogan. After all, Hulkamane
is going to continue to run wild. But when when
when I first started watching wrestling, and you first I
first understood what tag team was. Right when I first
started watching wrestling, it goes Okay, I got everybody, you know,
my friends are watching it. It becomes this thing and
(02:43):
you and you get into it right just how it
is with wrestling whenever you are because everybody becomes a
wrestling fan for at least five minutes of their life.
And when I first came in, it was the very
beginning of Hulka Mania. It just happened when I hit it.
And the Samoans were the biggest tag team, right, they
were the ones like that was like, whoa the wild Samoa.
Who's gonna beat the Samoans? Man, they're tough, they're all big,
and they got all these moves and they flying off
(03:04):
the rope and they were tough, and Afha and Sika
were like it was like, no one's gonna be like,
no one's gonna beat them. Then I you know, learned
about the w W a little bit more, but like,
you know, no one's gonna beat them.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
And they were so much fun.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
And yeah, I mean I used to love it, and
we used to do this like when we used to
go to parties, like when I was ten.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
I think maybe I did it when I was in
high school too, a couple of times, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Anyway, like we would we would have like wrestling matches
in the pool, and I was always because I had
because I had I had really curly hair, and when
I got out of the pool, my hair is a
little wild. So I was always one of the wild Samoans.
And there's video of me. I know a couple people
had this video of me. But you know, the Samoans
went in the middle of the match, they would just
walk up to the camera and and look in and
(03:46):
go like oh oh, And that's there's so much video
that people haven't me doing that in part, Like me
and somebody else would be the Samoans if we were
wrestling in the pool, and I.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
Would just at one point go up to the camera,
goo the samos are doing. I thought it was the
coolest thing. In the world. Now, I'm like, oh.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Man, hopefully people don't have any like, you know, dubbing
capabilities they can put that on something that can get
sent out in mass media anymore.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
But I know it exists. I know it somewhere.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Well, it'll it'll surface. I mean, the fact that it
hasn't already means the people you grow up would suck
because I mean there's they've had a lot of run
time to at least say, all right, this might make
him look like a bit of a jackass.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Although you know, I.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Jason Smith wants to run for president making gas and milk.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Two dollars a gallon? What is he hiding? And then
it's me doing.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
That on screen.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
All the attack ads.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
You want you want to talk about getting you over,
that's gonna get you over, especially if you started ranting
and raving like you were Jesse Ventura against Ivan Putsk
who was part of the tag team that the Samoans
were battling in the.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
WWF back in the day.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Yeah, I remember the South stuff against you know, the
Junkyard our dog, and then you have scanned our act
bar in the middle of I mean, like all of
that go back into that history and all the generations,
and we talk about it the family business. For years,
it was always all right, it's the you know, Vince
McMahon and his family running it. Well, now you've got
(05:17):
Triple h you've got a new consortium that's taken over
and changed that all out with the fall from Grace
from McMahon.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
But you just look at Roman.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
Reigns and what they're building into, right, bloodline, the second
act is getting ready to start here. Rains, you know,
has battled a lot health wise to be in the
ring the last few years, and it actually missed some time.
I mean the fact that you know, we get him
to age seventy nine today, Jason, I mean that's a
(05:50):
hell of a run. Yeah, I mean, Sika passing it
at seventy nine, he got to see Roman Reigns on
top of the world, his kid getting They were in
the Hall of Fame as of two thousand and seven. So,
I mean, you check a bunch of those boxes that
so many of their contemporaries never even had a chance.
I referenced the Junkyard Dog. You know, he was on
his way to his you know, kids college graduation and
(06:11):
was in an accident. I mean you've got all of
those things you just never know. I mean, you got
Flair seventy five, the great Baron von Rashkott, because you know,
I got to go full time. If we're going to
talk Iron Claw, the guy that was running around given
the claw back at the day fighting alongside Fritz van
Eric and those people. I mean, he's eighty three. You
can still get him to do a cameo for you,
(06:32):
by the way, Yeah, well yeah, he had one of
the greatest lines ever. Friend will turn on friend, foe
on foe talking about a battle royal. Ponder that one
for a moment if you will.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
But yeah, and so you.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Know, with these legends, like it's all out there. This
is stuff that has been converted digitally, so you can
go back and watch the histories advise you to do something,
and there's some great matches. And back then they really
worked feuds and you know all the k fabe stuff
you did, you didn't know it existed. Uh So you
thought everybody hated each other. Oh, you really hated each
(07:07):
other over the top. And these guys were about as
good uh as doing that and selling that part of
the act as anybody.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Who was it.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
That was was driving to a match together, was I
was iron Chic and hill Billy Jim.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Well, that's just had all of those guys.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Yeah, you had a little bit of that in uh
in in Dwayne Johnson's Young Rock Show, you know, kind
of talking about the families and how they looked after
each other, and and his family being you know so large,
uh a contingent in the WWF and and through wrestling agencies.
I mean, this huge loss for the the WWF world,
(07:44):
but again, I mean a celebration of a long storied
history and a legacy that will go on for generations
because these guys ain't going anywhere.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
No, I didn't. At one point the Samoans, did they
have three? Did it was? Did they have the tongue
of kid wrestling with that? Remember there was he was?
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Yeah, there was a big couple of events where there
was a three man tag team where and it was
I forget it was, but I think them they got
to like three that that three people on that team
and it was like.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Six man tag was in style for a while because
they had to figure out what to do with the
von Eriks and the free Birds and and different iterations
of the Legion of doom when they'd randomly have some third.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Guy as part of that and whatever.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
So yeah, they did run with that for a while.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah, and and uh were they were they did they
win the championship in the w W Yeah, yeah, yeah, no,
they beat Tito Santana and Ivan Putski.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Oh that's right, they had a run.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
They left and then they came back.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
That's right. That's right. When they came back.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
That was when I because that was when I got
into it, right, because that's what like, Tito Santana.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Was my favorite run. Like, oh my god, now I realized.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
You see, he just retired as a school teacher, I know,
for like three years.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
And he was teaching wrestling like in his seventies. He
was like tea people how to do it. And the
funny thing is, like I love Tito. I was so
mad when Tito Santana lost to uh, Macho Man the
Intercontinental Championship, and then I realized, like years later, going, wow,
Tino Santana really wasn't as interesting as the other guys,
Like he really he was just I don't know why.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
He was just kind of fun to watch. He was
a good guy that got over.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
They loved him in the locker room, a person that
looked out for them, right, because again, you need a
couple of people in the locker room to keep try
to keep you on the straight and narrow. And that
was part of his gig, as evidenced by the fact
that he went on to a long career as a school.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
You guys, wrestling's fake, right, Wait.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
What how dare you? What are you talking about? Frostburg?
Take that back right now before people.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
This is Marconi stuff, right, showing breadth of knowledge everybody.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Next tonight, Wow, dude, come on and the next we're
gonna win the title.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
We just clinched the titles. We just clinched the title.
I liked it.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
I like that he called you a faker. Yeah, well listen, listen.
Frostburg's just upset because the Knicks are better than the Lakers.
The Knicks are winning the title next year they make
the first big because in the last two days, you
got JJ Reddick and I got Michael Bridges.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Advantage me advantage Nicks. I got what I need.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
You got a guy that well, we couldn't get the
guy we really wanted, so we're gonna get another guy instead.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
That dude. Listen, here's I want you to I want
you to make sure you listen.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
To celebrating like land.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Dude, listen, dude, we got the tumbo. Oh my god,
forget it. We'd be awesome. Uh no, dude, getting Michael
Bridges is a huge Okay, it's a huge deal. He
you look at any list of players that would be again, stop, dude,
the Pacers were we were playing with four guys at
the end against the Pacers.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
Of course, the Pacers just had to get to the series.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Stop if that if and I realized injuries are part
of it. I realize his injuries are part of it.
But honestly, if the Knicks are at full strength, we
beat the paper. I don't know, the papers win.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Again.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
We talked about how that's the most important thing in
the end.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
I know, I know.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Don't try to quash that now.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
Hey, by the way, by the way, when are we
doing thirty minutes on the fake outrage over JJ Reddick
using an F bomb?
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Oh yeah, that was a weird story today. We really
cared about JJ Reddick using the F word. How dare he?
Speaker 4 (11:26):
And the sanctity was of an introductory press conference.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
I mean, people are more worried about another word he used.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
That's a whole other agilation allegedly allegedly, allegedly No. But
I you know, it's funny you bring it up because
when when he said I don't give a blank, like
I said, Oh, he's trying to be fake tough guy, right,
I don't give a blank what people say about my
qualifications for the job or not. I'm like, oh, yeah, okay,
fake tough guy JJ Reddick. And yet the blowback because
(11:53):
he used an F bomb in the press conference. I'm
saying to myself, really, that's a thing like people are
really concerned about. I get to the it's a little
surprising to hear a coach in his first press conference
use the F word. But this is also JJ Reddick
who's got to come in and try to instill a culture.
And he's not gonna do it by being everybody's friend.
He can't get everybody on his podcast. He's not doing
(12:13):
it anymore. So he's got to find a way for people.
Oh hey, you gotta respect me. Even though the last
coaching job I had was a volunteer coach in the
fourth grade, you gotta respect He's got to go over
the top to do that. Which is again one of
the reasons why I'm skeptical of him, and I'm not
buying that Reddick's going to be great. But that's something
that I saw that and I knew that was the
real impact of it, but just the real shock that
(12:35):
people had to he really like, that's the first time
you heard someone use the F word, first time you
heard a coach use the effort.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Reddick's forty years old.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
He's not sixteen, you know, doing his first press conference
and drop of the f bop and there the guy's.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Forty years old. It's okay if he wanted to say it,
Is it a great look?
Speaker 4 (12:49):
No?
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Does Does it really look like he's forcing something? Yeah?
But is it?
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Is it an instance where I want to say, oh,
my goodness, there's something wrong with him?
Speaker 3 (12:57):
No, of course not. Man, come on, man, let me
be real with that.
Speaker 1 (13:01):

Hey, Nick Scott Bridges Tonight, Hey the Mets beat Yankees Tonight,
Fox Sports Radio, The Jason Smith Show with Mike Carmen
Lott at Thetirack dot Com studios. And look, whether you
are happy the Knicks are going to win the title
next year or not happy, here's a story we can
all agree on. A movie, a movie that we're all
(15:07):
gonna watch. Man, just stop at the Pacers. They had
their moment, said they had their moment, and now the
Knicks are going to win the title.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
It's it's how it's dude, it's it's science. Man.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Just but they're on the rise, Like, no, they're not.
They were lucky to be where they were. They were
lucky to be there. Come on, nenmart hit a three
with his eyes closed and none of his teammates could
believe it. Okay, that was the end of the year.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Right there.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
Acting like you guys landed Sean Kemp.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
Our team is red hot.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Okay, Sean Kemp is fifty five years old. Man, Come on,
it's still better than Bridges.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Uh. Let's we'll get to Bridges in the second. We'll
get to Dorrith Colonel, We'll get to the Airman in
the second. But first, a movie that I think we
all are going to watch. An announcement today that there's
gonna be a big new Hallmark Christmas movie featuring the
Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
Oh, let's go.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
It's a holiday movie and it's called Holiday Touchdown A
Chief's Love Story.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
Is that the one where Mahomes makes out with the refs?
Speaker 1 (16:16):
This is the one where moy the trailers already come
out and Mahomes is yelling saying.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Why don't you do anything for me?
Speaker 1 (16:22):
I do everything for you, And then it cuts to
the referee that goes, you're right, uh whistle late hit
defense first.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
Down the Chiefs. Oh look at that.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
No, it's called Holiday Touchdown A Chiefs Love Story, and
it's about a pop singer who is tired of world
travel moves back home to Kansas City, where she connects
with one of the players, and they plan a fall
festival together.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
A fall festival.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
No, that's not the plot, but it sounds like a
great plot, right, like that that should be the movie, right,
it's not, But shouldn't that be the movie?
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Right? Shouldn't you borrow from that? Should it be?
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Here's a pop singer who is really worldwide, faces from
Kansas City, but it's sick of everything, and you know,
you take license and move it away from Taylor Swift obviously.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
Is maybe ran so far away from there, you know, like.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
You haven't had a hit in a while or something else,
so you just you're tired, you need to move back
to Kansas City. Maybe you're taking care of a relative
of something. And then you know, hey, the team is
planning a fall festival of some kind, you know, via
a charity that one of the players works in. And
the players like, oh, I always had a crush on
so and so, and maybe I could find her and
she can help me put this fall festival.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
On using her star power. It can work.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
And then you find out that they used to date
in high school and then they broke up when he
thought that she was going to break up with him,
and she thought that he was going to break up
with her, and he went to college became.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
She was sitting on the bleed and he he was
dating the cheerleader.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
And in the bleachers. Like wouldn't that would be the plot.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
There's like a song that I'll probably hear on Sunday
night that has something to do with that.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Yeah, I mean that'd be the plot. Who knew?
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Or the plot is, here's someone who used to be
a singer and was a singer like in the in
the two thousands, but stop because you know, done with
their career and they become a veterinarian and so you know,
they live in Kansas City and then hey, a player
gets traded to Kansas City. Turns out to be her
former boyfriend. It's a homecoming for him. They run into
(18:20):
each other. Turns out what she didn't know is that
he was married to her best friend after they left
high school. But now they're divorced and there's some sort
of of animal situation that invite He's got like a
bunch of dogs that you know, wind up, something happens
and she saves them and they get together. Like that's
a movie, Like that's a Hallmark movie.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
That's that's pretty good. I actually have the synopsis of
what's going on here, and they're a key actor to
all of this.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
What do you got prosperg whateve about justin?
Speaker 5 (18:54):
What's that?
Speaker 3 (18:55):
What did you say?
Speaker 5 (18:55):
I said, at what point in the movie does Chiefs
a hall Like fall in love with Jail?
Speaker 4 (19:00):
It's uh, well, I mean that would be cool if
you had that that extra you know, fan contest that
goes around.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
Well, listen when they when somebody falls into trouble and
it looks like something's gonna happen, Casey Wolf comes flying.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
In and and and and makes a.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Big save like on the motorcycle, Casey Wolf flies in, well,
grabs her, puts her on on the back, and takes
off in Casey Wolf and they ride off.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
Well, since it does have a fan of the Year
contest element to it, I mean we can get Chiefs
a haul again. There he's disqualifying after being indicted.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Now, both of my ideas, both of my ideas are
better than what the real idea is. The real idea
is actress Hunter King, who does a lot of Hallmark movies.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Is a Chief.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
So I thought it was yeah, no, come on, late,
Shami is not gonna do this.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
You don't get lazy Samaria and Danica mckeller for this.
Come on, not gonna do that. Hunter King is a
chief super fan. Tyler Hines, Canadian actor. I had to
look him up, uh is the team's director of fan engagement,
and he's evaluating Hunter King and her family as they
are trying to win the team's Fan of the Year contest.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
Okay, okay, so that's like it so far.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
You have director of fan engagement, the guy who's monitoring
the message boards like the Seahawks GM know what's going on? Like, really,
is that a real job, director, There's gotta be there's
gotta be a whole department for that.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Are you kidding me, Director of fan engagement?
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Absolutely yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
So director of fan Engagement is picking the chiefs fan
of the Year. Hunter King is a super fan and
potentially he's a value which already you can see that
the the because what I found out when I didn't
know this about romance novels and movies is there needs
to be an external conflict and an internal con I
didn't know this, but that's like the there's an external conflict,
which is always what you see what the main plot
(20:47):
is and then the internal conflict, which is something that
the main character has that also puts them at odds
with someone else. So it's like, you have to have
the external and internal conflict, and I see that here.
Now the external conflict is okay, well, here he is.
He meets this woman, maybe he's falling in love with her.
But the internal conflict is, oh, he's got to decide
if she could be the fan of the year, and
that's his job, and do you want to do that?
(21:09):
You risk losing it. So I can see that now.
But the external and internal conflict, I thought, was like,
I feel like a genius dog. Oh, I can see that.
I can see the ext conflict.
Speaker 4 (21:17):
Or you really make it an internal conflict and you
make it like inside out too, where there's now lots
of internal conflicts with different the voices in your head.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
And different people from the first movie, just.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
Like Herman's head all those years ago on fox.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Ed Begley Jr.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Let go in this movie. Now, I don't know who
he plays. Maybe he's the coach of the Chiefs. I
don't Maybe he owns the Chiefs. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Maybe I don't owns.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Yeah, they say it's her her grandfather. Okay, it's a
key part to the conflict here.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
Okay, all right, Okay, his good.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
Luck Winter hat goes missing me?
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Really yeah he wait wait wait really yeah, he's sing
his good luck Winter hat.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
And that's a big plotline.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
So fate, destiny and the future with Derek all called
into question and doubt, and then the Hail Mary Christmas miracle.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Hallmark's got a call in five minutes, I could have
plots for five movies that are better than this.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
Look, man, we can program that whole damn channel between us.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
Come on, you know this. We're really pushing man.
Speaker 4 (22:24):
You we got that, We got game shows, we got
reality battles.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
I mean, come on.
Speaker 5 (22:30):
Yeah, the real love story is Mahomes and Reid and
the rafts and Nuggies.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
How are nuggies? Yeah, there's gotta be nuggies. He's got
you gotta have nuggies. You gotta have nuggy No, it's
that works, it's gotta have that.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
You gotta have that. Uh, maybe they're filming a commercial
when something happens. There's all kinds of stuff. Man, I
am really good at coming up with lifetime movies. Not
so much because lifetime is more. Hey, here's somebody who
uh you know is uh is a relative of a
serial killer and you know they're there. Yeah, it gets
(23:07):
a little bit too dark, like Lifetime movies aren't really fun,
you know, but the homework, Hey, it's fun. It's it's
it's when you're in Kansas City, things are gonna be great.
And of course the team is gonna be playing for
a championship or play. We're doing something and who knows
what it's gonna be.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
And they're gonna make a statement by changing which state
they're they're playing. Ripped from the headlines like an all
Law and Order episode.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Here are the Topeka Warriors, right, Hey, congratulations, look at them?
Look at them win so much here in the National
Football Association. What a trade time? This is Their jersey
is gonna be all different colors. You're gonna watch this.
I mean we have to watch homework for the show.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
I mean we can't get content out.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
No, don't know.
Speaker 4 (23:54):
You could just stand on the sidelines and and and
make your comments.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
What if you were in it fraud? What if they
needed they needed?
Speaker 1 (24:00):
You're sure there's gonna be something happening at a game,
because you know they gotta have some kind of thing
where it's gonna end with some kind of marriage at
the middle of the field, Like maybe maybe they're playing
the Chargers in a game and maybe you're gonna have
a cameo in it.
Speaker 5 (24:15):
Who's benefiting from it?
Speaker 3 (24:16):
The Chiefs?
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Yeah, well you would benefit from the NFL would be
in a movie.
Speaker 5 (24:22):
You like it would be the first one.
Speaker 7 (24:25):
Well, no, I'm not saying this is gonna I don't
want to know about that alter Career Sunday where they
try to bomb bomb the super Bowl, that movie from
like nineteen seventy one, And I'm not saying that.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
No, But what if you were in it? What if
this is again?
Speaker 1 (24:38):
What if you were in like a like a like
a walk off walk by seat where you're you're walking
with a bunch of papers into the Chargers broadcast booth
and one of them runs into you and knocks you
over and they say sorry, and you just yell, I'm suing,
I'm suing.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Like that'd be a pretty good walk on for you.
Speaker 5 (24:52):
How did you know that happen?
Speaker 4 (24:55):
He also, I mean just told you he was in
other films, So now you have to you'll find his
CV Frotzburg versus Casey Wolf.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
All right, like coming up.
Speaker 5 (25:08):
Here, Mike, it's and acting at the same time.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
No, of course you gotta get one of those helmet
cams like Frank and Mobile Unit.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
But let's but let's be out like couldn't you have
done like and I don't know what what the.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
You could do inspired buyer, you could just do enough
change like.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
You couldn't do something where it's basically Kelsey and Tailor,
like you you're just basing it on here's a player
who meets a star singer, right and their relationship on
the chiefs and here's a Hallmark movie, and you know,
are they gonna be together? Are they not gonna be together?
The internal the external conflict is do they like each
other enough? The internal conflict is I have my football career,
(25:46):
I have my singing career. Like you could do that
without having to pay a lot of money to Kelsey
and Swift, right, Like you could just say, here's a player,
he's a quarterback and she's a country singer or something else,
or you know, he's a you know, he's a he's
a run back and she's a rapper, or he's a
I don't know, you could do something like that, right,
I mean, I don't know why you couldn't.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
Do this the d I'm a rapper. I like what
you did there.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
I mean you could you you would have to pay
them that money, like you can know something like that?
Speaker 4 (26:11):
Well, I mean the fact that it's being tied directly
to the the Chiefs and not just a fictionalized version
thereof it starts to get a little bit complicated.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
You can't.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
You can't give the guy number eighty seven and say
his name is is is Thomas Kelson?
Speaker 4 (26:28):
We already saw that that was We already saw that
that was a gronking to remember one in two.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
Yeah, I mean you can't. I don't think you know,
you thought you thought we forgot about it. Gronking to remember,
not just you just have to have it.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
They got to be like Billy Swift, you know, or
so I can't can't be Swift for a picture Billy Swift,
Like you can't, like you have to make just different names,
different positions, different nothing like what's happened in their life.
But just that's what it is. He's a player, she's
a rock star. They meet and you see what happens,
and hilarity ensues and the big thing is going to
be does she come? You know, like they're like, you
(27:01):
think they're broken up. They're getting this big fight right here,
because here's the end of the movie. They get in
this big fight. And and they're playing in the AFC
Championship game, and you know, he's not done. He's having
a bad week of practice. He's dropping all these passes,
he's rude to his friends. They all wonder, oh, we
got to get her to the game. And then it
becomes a whole thing where he doesn't know she's trying
to get to the game, and she's taking a plane
(27:22):
and a train and all kinds of stuff happens, and
like playing Strains of Autoweel, John Candy gives her a
ride halfway and then right.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
Before the game she shows up, and that's how the
movie ends.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
See, I thought, you don't just get a game, you don't.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Need the game.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
She you know, on the sideline they go, hey, look, Travis,
I mean, hey, look, Jim, what that Look at the
seat up there? And then in the box she waves
to him and that's the end of the See that's
pretty good. The other way is that he's got to
get to whatever she's doing a concert and then you
can just rip from the other day when he was
in a tuxedo and lifted her up during the I
(27:56):
can do it with a broken heart.
Speaker 5 (27:57):
Actually watch that garbage.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
Oh well, you would do that in the middle of
the movie, like he got like there's two things, like
they would be the one piece where he goes to
see her, but then they kind of break up, and
then that's when she has to come see him. And
that's the whole thing, because it's really it's football. It's
about the Chiefs, right, So you gotta set a lot
of it at Arrowhead and we could be the sports
talk people on the aircraft. Boy, I tell you, I
tell you, Uh, Jim Jim Jim Johnson hasn't been the
(28:21):
same since uh, since the breakup with uh Abigail Cruz.
I don't know what else to say. I mean, I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
I mean, instead of going into pass routes, it's like
he's simulating dance moves from The Lost Love.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Yeah, oh yeah yeah. And we take the phone calls,
people go, we just got to bench this guy. He's
no good since say broke up. I can't believe they
would even let her into the stadium anymore. And that
and that's that. I'm telling you. That's the movie. Man.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
You you ruined it. You wouldn't have to ruin her.
You could absolutely do that. And you go right through
it again. You change positions, you change the names, you
change they do for a living. Nothing has to do
with anything. It's him going to see her, she comes
to see him, and that's the end. It's kind of
it's got a little bit of silver linings playbook in it.
It's kind of, you know, and of course everybody's in
(29:07):
the same place at the end.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
No, it's good. I like this. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
I mean, we've already got sequels and spinoffs ready.
Speaker 5 (29:15):
I've got the Rogers one all written too well.
Speaker 7 (29:18):
Listen, hey, he's reabing from another Likeahuasca.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
No no, no, no, no, no, the Era the Loaf,
no Hyahuasca. No dude, Come on man, dude. Uh coming
up next.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Yes, we've had an incredible night coming up with Hallmark
Idea movies for NFL themed Oh yeah, the Knicks make
a big trade. Maybe Kevin Durant could be on the
move at some point in the next few months. The
Mets win a big game in the Subway Series, but
everything pales in comparison to what we saw happen one
specific highlight in one baseball game earlier tonight. That's next
(29:58):
right here, Jason am I Fox.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with Mike Carmon
live from the tire rack dot Com Studios. And there's highlights,
there's low lights, and then there's this viral moment that
I will warn you if you do not have a
strong stomach, do not watch it. I mean, everybody's okay.
It's not like there's a you know, someone's knee is
popped out or something. No, no, no, But tonight in baseball,
(30:34):
Red's pitcher Hunter Green against the Pirates tonight, he walked
lead off batter Andrew mccutchon to start the game. Okay,
not a great start. To start The next at bat
against Brian Reynolds, Hunter Green throws a ninety five mile
an hour fastball for strike one. Right after he throws
the pitch, he throws up on the mound, just delivers
(30:57):
the pitch, turns to the side and throws up.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Just you can't miss it. You see it, it's right there.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
It's something that he can throw a ninety five mile
an hour fastball, turn and throw up basically in one motion.
It's like the continuation in basketball. You want the continuation,
you get to the free throw line. It was I
throw the ball, I turn, I throw. It was all
one thing for him, turning and throwing up. It took
a couple of minutes, but then I think they realized, well,
we kind of got to go out and look at him,
make sure he's okay. I think he's all right. And
(31:26):
then I don't know, we have to someone's got to
come out with a rake on the mound.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
I guess it's just kind of then, hey, who wants
to Hey.
Speaker 4 (31:33):
Go get some sawtusts like you were at the old
elementary school.
Speaker 5 (31:37):
And he just started playing with it.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
You gotta give me that visual mancusity.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Yeah, it's awful lot.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
How fast do you think the grounds crew saw that
and they say, ooh, I gotta go, And they turned
around to get the guy, Hey can you hey? And
the only one left is the guy who didn't leave
because he didn't think about it in time.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
Hey to me favor. We'll got some sawt UT's bring it.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Out to the mound and kind of take care of that, uh,
that patch right there where Hunter Green threw up.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
Well, you know you think you see, I really didn't
remember the Dylan Bundy. You gotta listen to the whole show.
We had to talk with our buddy John PALMERROSI. Uh,
good for you though. You can hear it on the
podcast that'll go up after we're done. Uh talking about
this that happened just a couple of years ago. But yeah,
it's it's unfortunate, right you talk about now we're in
in late June, so temperatures are up, humidities up. Maybe
(32:32):
eat something that doesn't sit right. Maybe it's a bit
of nerves, all of those things. Because I mean we've
had quarterbacks, right that was part of their their pregame.
And no, I'm not just talking about Jamie Fox uh
in any given Sunday throwing up on the field, but
to where that just becomes part of all, right, boot
and rally, let's go. Well, that's not just just for
Saturday and Saturday nights.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
This is the second straight outing that he got sick
on the mound because he said he was he was overhydrated.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
Yeah, the first time I got too much water and
I'm trying to throw it.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
I'm something that's never been said before.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
You're too hydrated. I'm over hydra. I'm overheader, dude.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
Let me tell you you know, when I think of
this story, when I was ty Shirt, where's my music
for my story? Where's the uh? We got the we
got the Captain American music? Yeah, the Captain American music.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Ready.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
So when I was sixteen working in the supermarket, I'm
working a Pathmark in Staten Island, and it's when Jolt
Cola came out.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
It was like the thing with Joke Cola.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
I was like, ah, So we would take a break
at like ten o'clock every morning, after we load up
the aisle with stuff and everything, we take a fifteen
minute break. We all take it together, and so I
was like, yelly, I'm gonna try a Jolt Cola. So
the guys whose job it was to go pick up
the food for us on break brings back. I have
a Jolt Cola, which is like triple the caffeine, and
I finish it and I go back out on the
aisle and I have a big palette of bananas that
(33:51):
I'm going to put out on the on the end cap.
And there's people walking around in shoppers. Why it's busy
Saturday morning. And I take that box off, the top
of the bananas, and I turn and I throw up
right in it, right at the top of that box,
right in front of everybody, and I just say excuse me,
and I walk off the floor, and everybody parts because
I all saw me.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
Just that's a good walk off moment and very appropriate
that you're doing that bit after last night. It was
all about your curious George impression. No the Captain America music.
Can we play numb Skull?
Speaker 2 (34:25):
No?
Speaker 3 (34:25):
But it's the old music from.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
This one's triumphant. You gotta come back with a better
story of how you survived after booting to finish your
shift and be a hero.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
It was one motion.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
I took the top off that box of bananas, threw
up in it and said excuse me, walked right off,
and I collapsed on a pallet of potatoes in the
back room.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
I said, I gotta go home. I don't feel so good. Man.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
Did they discount those potatoes?
Speaker 3 (34:47):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
I'm gonna take the fifth amendment on that big story
out of baseball come
