Speaker 1 (00:01):

has a protection over ten thousand recommended as dollars.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Tire rack dot com sway that tire buying should be.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
You want to jump in on some of this conversation,
feel free to shoot us a tweet. I'm at Martin
Wis's VJ at Big Vanilla Funny like Brendan B eighty one,
he said, prediction time, unless someone either Lebron Senior or
JJ Reddick adjust their egos making considering the smaller throughout
the course of the season, the Lakers will be lucky
to win ten games in the season twenty twenty four

(00:40):
to twenty five.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Ten ten games completely, that's what he said.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Worse than the Pistons, worse than the Spurs, worse than
the Hornets of last year, ten games for the Los Angeles.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
I love the guy because we tweet all the time.
He's a great fan of Fox Sports Radio. But that
one not I think he might have been being a
little I think you might have been just exaggerated, not ten,
not ten wins. This feeling though, that they could miss
the playoffs some way, somehow. If this thing just falls apart,
I'm hinging just everything on. You tell me that they're

(01:15):
going seventy six excuse me, seventy six and seventy one
A D and Lebron as far as games played, you're
telling me they're gonna duplicate that again. I would take
the under on that, and then that's gonna affect the win.
So they won forty seven games, guys, and they needed seventy.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Six, won forty seven games. That we're in the playoff,
but we're going to play exactly. We're in the playing
with forty seven wins, you're telling me they win fifty
and more with this team.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
The team is not.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Better teams older teams got a little you know, it's
not better. I don't know if they got worse. I
just know they didn't get better. No one's running around like,
oh man, look at the moves that the Lakers know.
It's been all about drafting Brownie James and a JJ
reddid so.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Part of the reason why it's been all about draft
the draft is they've made no moves. Yeah, there's been
no moves to talk about, like quite literally made zero
moves besides their own players opting in, which I'll let
you know a little secret America, that's not the most
positive scenario because you opt in when you don't have
a market elsewhere. That's why you opted to take the

(02:13):
deal that's already on the table. So that means of
the three players of the Lakers that opted in, they
probably didn't have anywhere else to go.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Yeah. Absolutely, But it's like I said, it's gonna be interesting.
I may be.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Lucky to win forty I like forty forty one wins,
and I think that's being very objective and very fair
for the Lakers. Deep Patone says, the West goes through
Dallas again, great addition, adding Klay Thompson the one more
shooter they needed to compliment Kluka and Kyrie. I just
wonder how that looks on the defensive side of things.
Do you like the Grimes edition there also too?

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I think he needs to work there because they need
somebody because if he can go and be the guy
he was before his knee injury, which is the reason
why he was available.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Really in the first place.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Absolutely, he's got a because somebody has got to play
some defense.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Yeah, I think Lucay. Well here here's my even thing
with Luca as far defensive and just playing period. I'm all,
I'm all for playing for your country. If I were him,
I might have I might have I might have sat
this one out. I think he needs some rest, I
really do. And he's not gonna get healthier by running

(03:23):
through They just lost, right, and you know, they're tune
up going into the Olympics and the terms they're playing
out there, and he's playing back home for his home country.
I'm all for playing for your own country. I just
do think that at some point you're gonna have another
opportunity to do. He's still young enough, Luca could play
in the next Olympics. He'll be just fine. I just
think with the injuries and the guy pretty much dragging
his body to the finish line to flip right around

(03:46):
and then go play for your country, go playing the Olympics,
I'm not sure I like that. So I'm not sure
how that's going to effect going into next theak.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Maybe he gets rested after the Olympics.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
He's got two months off, you know, maybe doesn't do
a lot of training camp that do a lot in preseason.
Isn't just getting ready for the season. Maybe he's at
that point already at a ripe age of what twenty five,
twenty six years old at the most.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
To me is the number one thing he has to
do is getting better shape.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Yeah, we're playing coming off of injuries and that's not
gonna help. That's why I said I would like him
to sit this one out. Man, no one's gonna no
one's gonna rip him if he didn't play for the Olympics.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
You don't think the what is the Croatia, Slovenia Slavinia?
Do you think the Slovenia sportswalk radio hoster.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Like giving it all? We should have tried harder and
Neros twenty twenty four. No, if this basketball team isn't
doing it, yeah, right and there they'll combine it all too.
With a with a cop that.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
Doesn't sound like a Slovenian accent, Martin.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
I have zero idea with a Slovenian actions sounds like
me and neither I'm not even gonna go there. I
do think it was pretty cool that he tells the
story where he's here playing the Lakers and someone's trash
talking him in his day of language. He turns around
and looks and it's Kobe Bryant. It's one of the
best Kobe stories from a player.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
That man, one of that man is a treasure.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Oh Man still miss him to this day. College football expansion, baby.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
This is it. We're here Martin.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Now it went from from two teams in the BCS
area four teams is a short while ago. Before that
polls before BCS wasn't even two teams it whoever got
voter got voted, he got voted, and now.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
A twelve team playoffs, which I mean talks too much.
They just missed the boat. Yep, they missed the boat.
And now all right, pete to the PAC twelve. The
Big ten looks like I mean, just the list of
teams looks like the Western Conference, that's what it is.
He looks like the Eastern Conference. And that's very much

(05:36):
where we're headed soon, like it'll be that to college conferences.
The way to do this division quick we'll talk about
the actual playoffs, but just what they should have done,
what was obvious and clear, what should have been the case.
All five Power five teams conference champions automatic bid into
the postseason three at large. There you go, eight teams

(05:59):
winning your conference still matters because.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
That was a pack tolls problem. It's like, we could
go undefeated and win this thing, y'all still leave us.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Out Big twelve also two in past years? What ACC
This year Florida State went undefeated, acc won the conference.
Couldn't get it? Oh because the quarterback got hurt. Okay,
but but that so that he race is going undefeated.
Now we now we're looking for well if the quarterbacks,
that doesn't matter, That does not matter.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
They won, They went undefeated and won.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
You and I always talked about eight because you know
what else happens with eight that we we get probably
another Michigan Ohio State rematch.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
You you probably agree with that.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
Right if if all, if we had eight teams, they're
gonna play again, because they're always one and two or
one in three.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Think whoever didn't win the conference would probably still have
the inside track on being one of the at large,
which probably I belie should happen because they let it
happen for the SEC all the time.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Teams that don't win the SEC somehow getting to the
the getting to the college fall club until this year,
and I thought Georgia falling from one completely.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Out Georgia would have been at large team.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Yes, absolutely, but just even with the four they've they've
won their last twenty something plus games that they slip
up on one Saturday afternoon to Nick Saban, and they
wanted Nick Saban in because of course, you know, we
felt it was coming down to the end of the track.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
For Nick Saban.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
But twelve feels like, ah man, if it feels so
over so overdone. We know this is about money. We
notice about TV contracts and sponsorships and allers. I don't
have a problem with It's just American business.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
If you're complaining about that, you'll be complained about that
till you do and it's not gonna change.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
But now I'm thinking, if you can lose how many
losses knocks you, right, two losses probably still get you
in for.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
A twelve team playoff.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Yeah, I think depending on your strength to schedule, you
might be able to lose three.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Especially if you're a top well it would have to
be hate depended on the SEC. But if the three
loss team gets in, it's gonna be an SEC well
because if you.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Are are the if you go undefeated and lose to
the number two ranked team in the nation. I just said,
the number one rate team in the nation, the number
three Ranke team in the nation, the number fifth ranked
team in the nation. Then like they're gonna be like, well,
they just couldn't beat the teams in front of them. Yeah,
that's gonna be the.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Absolutely now with also too of the upcoming season. A
few teams I like to look at man I think
Michigan of course, defending champions I know hardball f and
they did lose some guys. They had a lot of guys,
draft a lot of guys at the combine. But once again,
when you really put this team into perspective and what's
on the field, there is a ton of talent on
this team. They have a top ten rated offensive line,

(08:37):
they have a top ten rated defensive line. They probably
have the best defensive linemen. And Grant Mason, who if
he came out there, if you could have came out
this year, he'd have been a top ten pick. He's
that good. In the churches, I think the offensive side
of the ball with Samar, with samarj And and the
speed guys that they're adding. The young freshmen and sophomores.
From the last two years. The talk has been, Hey,

(08:59):
these guys are a different breed. We may not be
able to pound like Blake Korm because I don't. I
don't think Donovan Edwards is. I don't think he's the
next back. I thought he was a great fill in
guy for Blake Korm. He doesn't strike me as the
next a train, the next Tyrone Wheatley, the next to Shamanka,
to Shamunga Biakabatuca. Yeah, to Shamungo Biakabatuca. He doesn't strike

(09:21):
me as that guy. But he could be Chris Perry.
You remember Chris Perry. He could be Toussaint, you remember it.
There you go, but productive back right, productive back. But
he wasn't Mike Hart, he wasn't Blake Korn. He wasn't
knows guy. There's there's these levels and tiers of running back.
I don't know if he's that, but I think defense

(09:42):
number one is still a top five defense in the nation.
It's the same coach as same program. You didn't you
lost your coach, but you didn't have to turn over.
It's not Alabama, right. Saban walks out the door, everybody
walks out the door. They lose their best true freshman,
Caleb Downs. He transfers to Ohio State. So Michigan, I
hate to admit it, Ohio going to be very very

(10:02):
very very very very good this year. They bought back everybody.
They've sold the house. They pushed all their chips to
the middle of the table. Martin, this is the year
to save Day's job.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Everybody came back a burning in Columbus.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Yes, and they have to go undefeated. They have to
go undefeated. They're first lost.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Now.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
The only slip up on their calendar I see is,
of course Michigan. They're gonna lose to us. They will
be four years in a row. But they go to
Oregon in September, and Oregon's gonna be breaking in a
transferred quarterback. So it's not a new quarterbacks. The quarterback
that's played Oregon just actually they just signed they just
got a commitment from the number one rank receiver in
the nation to class twenty twenty five. So the number yes,
the number three overall player who turned down Michigan and

(10:45):
basically all the other big boys to go to Oregon.
So the train keeps turning up there if you get
them up to orger I've been to Oregon to a
game and called the game. When you go up there, guys,
you can see why kids shake their head and go, yeah,
I want to come here.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
But they do. Man, they have all the weapons. Their
question is going to be quarterback.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Much like Michigan with alex Orgy Texas Longhorns, they were
right there. I thought they could have beaten Washington, but
I think Washington just was on a path and they
didn't have a defense. That corners were just getting killed.
That showed a difference in the Michigan game National Championship game.
Georgia also too. I think people are discounting Georgia. They
have one loss in the last two three years.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
One loss.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Okay, this Georgia team is still going to be solidified.
I like the final four. If I'm just way too
early in Michigan, Georgia, Texas.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
And Ohio State.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
To me, we're gonna end up being the last four
teams out of the twelve once we get to the Semis.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
It's just too much, just too much. How like the
I just hate teams is way too much, just hated out.
They've done this because you know, it's still gonna happen
to the teams like U sere still gonna get left out.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Now if that happens, If that happens, I called shenanigans.
If that happened, if you start to have like what
happens if a MAP team goes undefeated, you because eventually
you're gonna move up the rankings. You're gonna be ranked,
You're gonna move up the poles. Teams are gonna lose,
they're gonna fall, and you're and you're you're crossing your fingers.

(12:09):
I remember the year when Florida State UH played the
national championship game. Marshall also went undefeated, but Florida State
played Virginia Tech instead of Marshall. Now, Marshall had Randy mosson.
That's pretty much Marshall. Randy Malson CHAPIINONTS ten was the
reason why Marshall was so good. That shows you Randy
Moss was a single handedly reason why he was a

(12:29):
finalist in in the Heisman that year. Was him, Charles Woodson,
Peyton Manning, Ryan Leaf, and Randy Moss. That's how great
Randy Moss was. But if you have a mid major,
so called mid major mid major, but you have a
MAC team going defeated. Eventually, they're gonna move up the poles.
Do you purposely, oh ma, do you purposely keep them
out of the top twelve undefeated?

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Guys?

Speaker 4 (12:52):
That what you're kind of by talking about the Central
Florida type things, That what you're kind of predicting. If
you're not a big boy, you can't come to this party.
We don't care how many games we've proven the big
boys can get left out.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Florida State again last.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Year, well, I mean, I hope not, but I also
am realistic, and I think it would have been a
lot of bit of It would have been a lot
better if you were guaranteeing some playoff spots in order
to go ahead and just knock some of those teams
off the list. Like the college basketball tournament for example,
some teams are just guaranteed and if you win your

(13:24):
conference tournament, you're in period.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Stop, do not.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Pass, go, do not collect two hundred dollars. I think
that college football could take a look at that and
probably draft off of it, because I think it would
help them quite a bit.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Because there's just not twelve.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
There's just not twelve teams that can legitimately win the
national championship.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
And there's not sixty four that are sixty eight or
whatever that can legitly win the college basketball championship either.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
True, but it's a different, different game. You get the
we're not gonna like a twelve not beating a one, Martin. Yeah,
but that's do we now have if it's not beating
the two?

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Do we now have like the ten Cinderella Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
To be ten three? It'll be ten three this hypothetically?
You know this? Hey that nine to four matchup? Hey, hey,
that nine to four match up the last two out
of five years.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Oh well, hard to complain about. More football? Coming up next,
we'll dive into more football. Who do we think will
be the best player at the end of the season

his best friend Mike Harmon here on Fox Sports Radio,
coming to you live from the tire rack dot Com Studios.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
VJ.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
You just said your top four potential playoff teams in
college football, Well, who do you have as the guy
who will be ultimately hosting the trophy? You know at
Caleb Williams gone, Jadeen M Daniels gone. So for I
feel like, for the first time in a long time,
it's kind of wide open in terms of the Heisman race.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
It feels wide open, But I think I think Quinn's
probably got the best chance. Quinn Ederwards quarterback from Texas.
They have all the weapons they need there. Like I said,
they were into college playoff last year, put up thirty
plus against are just under thirty. Whatever score was in
the game against Washington. If their dbs could cover, they
had a chance to win the game, coming down to
the coming down to stretch. Great running game, great offensive line.

(16:00):
I mean they got NFL guys. This team is low.
This Texas team is good and normally when you have
a loaded team like that. He got hurt and got
deemed and banged up last year. He stays healthy, he
would be my front runner right now to possibly win
the heist. I think it's gonna go to a quarterback
this year. There's some running backs in and it's some

(16:21):
running backs in the in the nation. The Oklahoma State
kid that just got pulled over and then got his situation,
got a situation going himself. But I like, I like
him to be the front runner there. And then also
Carson back. If Georgia runs eight the SEC and he
puts together another year with improved numbers and they get
to the college football players like they get to the

(16:42):
National Championship game or well, by then the Heisman will
ber be given out, but you win sec I think
he can also be a guy to have a shot.
But I just like the way Texas schedule sets up
sets up for them. They got Michigan, but it's at
ann Arbor. If that thing was in Austin, I wouldn't
be slightly concerned.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
And that's early. That's week two, I believe, or week three.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
It's early September, before my birthday, so that's how I
can always judge games in September. It's super early. But
it's at ann Arbor. Michigan has the defense I believe
to slow them down. Not sure if our offense will
be able to match scoring with them, so our defense
is gonna have to. But if Quinn gets out of
that game with a dub and then runs the table,

(17:23):
him and Carson Beck, those are the two guys I
look at now as far as front runs. But we
know there's a guy out of nowhere. We didn't think Jaden,
we didn't think Jaydon Daniels. He wasn't even talked about
going into last season. I mean the shad Or Sanders
was the guy getting out of talking. And that's the
name I know a lot of people are throwing out
there but I still think there could be a nine.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
And four ten and three team.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
I don't think Colorado takes a quantum leap forward.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
I think they are mass improved. They are gonna be
much better than they were last year.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
But I still think there could be two or three
trip up games on that schedule and that will affect
his heisman. He'll be fine, but I think those are
the guys going undefeated would would kind of make a
little more noise. Let's talk a little bit about Colorado,
because I think I think kind of very much how
I felt last last year, is like if they win
six games, that's that's a good season.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
I think I'm still there. But I think I'm still there.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
I mean, they won four games last year, so six
to seven would be a pretty be almost double what
they won last year, and it'd be fighting for a
winning season, which I think when you look at they
came out the gate super hot, but when they got
into conference play, it got pretty ugly, and so I
would not expect them to be as some double digit
win team. I think probably eight is the absolute highest

(18:37):
i'd go on Colorado.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Right Well, I said, I said three or four losses,
so I'm nine and four is where I can probably
sit comfortably for Colorado.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
I could see I could sit at nine and four
for them. Like I said, there's always a trip up game.
There have they improved and on last year just real fast.
Once they got into conference play. It just I don't
even think it was in conference play. Even in the
early games they won they had, they had to win
by shootouts.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
Their offensive line was horrific from the first snap of
the season and it only got worse. Sharder Sanders ran
for his life. Now one thing I was critical about
him last year, he's gotten to clean up this year.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
You cannot backpedal out of trouble because.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
You take an eight yard loss and it turns into
a fifteen sixteen, seventeen yard loss.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Because for some reason he didn't step up. He didn't
go east and west.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
He goes backwards way too much for my Like, if
you go put on his scrambles where he gets sacked,
go put the tape on. He back pedals, He'll turn
a three yard second to a second Oh my god,
almost every time.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
So the line is horrible.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
That's why I don't believe and I'm over the Dion hype.
I love coach Prime. I loved what he did last year.
The attention. You gotta do that. He's a marketer man,
he's a businessman. He said from day one, this about bussiness,
not business. He said this about business. He knew what
he was doing, bringing in different celabs and.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
Stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
They got the attention they needed once you said, all
that goes away. You gotta buckle the chin strap and
you gotta snap on your shoulder pats and you gotta
go hit somebody that.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
It's a physical game. It's not a talking or my game.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
I like, I think nine and four is safe, and
I think that'll affect uhou Dare for the Hodges.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
But I do not agree with you.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
This college football nine and four of might get you
in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Yeah seriously, I know, I know, but I know where
you're gonna know where you're coming with that, But I
do not agree. I don't care six or seven wins.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
I don't care if it's an improvement because of who's there,
because of the light that's shining on them. That is
not a successful Colorado twenty four to twenty five, No
way in hell. His son is on the cover is
one of the cover athletes on the NCAA video game
football game. There's no way six or seven. You're the

(20:50):
only person in radio that's gonna go. Ay, that's a
successful year. They won four like, no, they no, they
got a leap to nine or more. Four It to
BF you they go eight five, that's disappointing for them, Martin,
because of what's there, because of who's there.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
Because of build the program.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
You're right, I think of four and eight to eight
and five to then you know, then the year three,
I would have big expectations.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Yeah, I need nine, I do. I need nine and
four this year. I got twelve games in the regular
seasons because I need nine and I need nine and
four out of them this year. Listen, that conference isn't
didn't go down. Oregon's still gonna be really good, Washington's
still gonna be really good. We always just look at
the big names that leave. They got guys to plug in.
Quarterbacks are quarterbacks are moving around like homeless people. Okay,

(21:37):
they go from place to place and place the place
and place the place and play with the with the
transfer portal. Right now, in college football, you lose the quarterback, Oh,
you lose both. Next up, no problem, Oregon. We're just
gonna bring in another transfer guy who's been playing, playing
his ass off in sec Yeah, come on up here
and just do what you were doing down there. Oh,
by the way, we still have all this speed, we
still have all these linemen, we still have the atmosphere,

(21:59):
we still have a night we still got the duck
on the motors that light. It's still Oregon. There's still
a top football team. You still got to deal with them.
So it's still gonna be pretty tough. Well, they're in
the Big Ten now, but it's still gonna be pretty
tough for Dion with some of the schools that they
have to play on their schedule.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
I'll just what I.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
Need to see out of the Colorado football this season
is improved offensive line. Oh man, That'll be the big
mark for me, because I think part of building a
program is notice nothing like identifying what your biggest weakness
was in the year prior and improving upon that, and
then then you do it again, and then you do
it again, and then you do it again, and then

(22:35):
before you know what, everything's operating at a B plus
to a minus level and now you're one of the best.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
Teams in college sports. Yep, also too, just two more.
I just want to throw at you. Florida State guy.
You know, I'm not a big fan of but I'm
very interested to see what he does there with the
weapons all around him there and with the coaching their
dj Ouyangalle is the transfer quarterback from Oregon State, the
transfer from Clemson. He will be starting for Florida State.
And then also remember Cam is back at the quarterback
position for Utah. We know Utah is gonna be physical.

(23:01):
They're gonna attack you at the caam Rising, Yeah, Rising,
They're gonna I'm sorry, I'm you know how Tom'm saying
it like everybody knows Cam Rise.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
I got caught camp. That's Cam Rise.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
The team won't make the dream there you go, bab
quarterback for Utah, but they're going to be physical at
the point of attack on the offense and the defense
side of the ball.

Speaker 6 (23:18):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
They got great skill position guys. They're also there too.

Speaker 4 (23:20):
There's a they're another team to just because now it's twelve,
you can really look at the top fifteen teams to go. Okay,
I think the team could be this, the team could
be that. I'm just trying to find teams that get
into the final four. I don't care about the twelve.
I'm trying to find who I think are gonna be
the last four.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Standard. To me, that's still the true college playoff teams.
We got twelve teams.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
Yeah, but we get to the final four, I think
we'll come down to the four best teams.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Well, let's go ahead and kick it over to MASSI blanos.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Hey did I Will did Will Smith to show heo
Tani just switch bodies today?

Speaker 7 (23:49):
I think so. Well, it is Shoo Tani's thirtieth birthday,
so I think he's just trying to take it easy.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
You know, on his birthday. Okay, is he thirty?

Speaker 8 (23:57):
He is thirty?

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Yeah, I did not know that. I thought he was
younger than that. He's starting.

Speaker 7 (24:01):
He's thirty. I mean I can dodgere he's thirty today today.

Speaker 5 (24:05):
Yeah, Wow, he was younger. Okay, no, say he looks it.

Speaker 8 (24:07):
He looks it.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
He looks good.

Speaker 8 (24:12):
Yeah, he's got a good for sure, a good skincare routine.

Speaker 7 (24:15):
Yes. Will Smith has homewerd three times in this game
for the Dodgers. It's a taie one because of him.
In LA five five against the Brewers, bottom of the
eighth inning, Milwaukee just did a pitching change because the
Dodgers have the bases loaded, Freddie Freeman at the plate,
they are down to their final out. This is just
the bottom of.

Speaker 8 (24:33):
The eighth inning.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Now.

Speaker 7 (24:34):
In San Diego, the Padres were beating the Diamondbacks seven
to two to start the ninth inning, and then Alec
Thomas hit a grand slam. Then Randall Gritcha hit a
two run homer, So the Diamondbacks are now on top
eight seven. They're about to start the bottom of the
ninth inning in San Diego. The games that have wrapped
up the most recent games that I've wrapped up. The

(24:55):
Mariners held on to beat the Blue Jays two to one,
and the Ools edge the Ace three to two. In
the Rockies beat the Royals four to two earlier today,
the Red Sox came back to beat the Yankees five
to three in ten innings, and the Phillies held on
to beat the Braves eight to six. Aaron Nola with
his one hundredth career win in that one. In the WNBA,
the Sparks just beat the Aces ninety eight to ninety

(25:18):
three in overtime. Asia Wilson thirty five points, twelve rebounds
and six blocks in the loss, Angel rees another double double,
twenty seven and ten rebounds. The Sky beat the Storm
eighty eight to eighty four in that one, and earlier
today in the WNBA, the Wings defeated the Dream eighty
five to eighty two. At the Copa amedicat quarterfinal, Canada

(25:38):
defeated Venezuela in penalty kicks. They're advancing to the semi
finals where they're gonna face Messi and Argentina on Tuesday,
and you can catch all the action on FS one.
It's also the quarterfinals for the Euro twenty twenty four
on Tuesday, Spain is gonna face France and you can
catch all that action on Fox.

Speaker 8 (25:56):
Back to you, guys, Thank you much, appreciate you very much, Monty.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
You and I are the accent King and Queens of
Fox Sports Radio. Not given. I just want you to.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
Know that you're but you're Yours is way way better
than mine. But I tell you I got some axes.
Me and me and you we are the accent King
and Queens of Fox Sports Radio. Not the world just
needs to know that the world needs to know.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
This is like House and Dragons when it's like, you
know what I'm saying that the daughter was the true
queen and then they had to end up having a
son afterwards, and he's not really the king.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
You know, I'm keeping up spoilers, Martin. I mean I
showed nobody show. Nobody cares about. What are you talking about?

Speaker 8 (26:39):
I don't even know what you're talking about.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
No one cares about what everybody.

Speaker 8 (26:44):
Cares about the Dragon House of Dragons isn't not.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
Like I promise you, this Househows Dragons single episode rates
higher than every one of those soccer games.

Speaker 8 (26:53):
Absolutely, that's ignorance right there.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
That's facts.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Patrick, me a favor. Look up the last look up?
What if the house did you on season what? Season
two premiere?

Speaker 9 (27:04):
Do?

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Tell me what that happened? You know what?

Speaker 2 (27:06):
They do that every week and then they also do
it every year because people really are.

Speaker 8 (27:12):
Interested in Isn't it like a spin off of what show?

Speaker 3 (27:14):
Game of Thrown?

Speaker 5 (27:15):
It's a pretty cool actually, prel.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Well, it's just spin off.

Speaker 8 (27:19):
Hell cares? I just want to know what show is about.

Speaker 9 (27:22):
Yeah, trust me, you unlocked the nerd right now. I'm here, baby, Let's.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Go lock the nerd. Get that on the shirt.

Speaker 9 (27:30):
You need to get that on the T shirt, bro
hashtag I got a new saying you unlocked and.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
Locked the nerd baby, that's yours baby own it.

Speaker 8 (27:39):
Okay, so you say season two premiere and then like,
what just a normal soccer game?

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Yeah, the soccer games from yester us Panama.

Speaker 9 (27:46):
Seven point eight million viewers on season two debut, oh wow.

Speaker 8 (27:52):
And then and then double and the and then what
game I don't care what us saying Panama will point three.

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Whichever one y'all say is supposed to be the most
the most.

Speaker 9 (28:03):
Watched seven point eight million viewers from the season two dates.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Almost eight million people watch that.

Speaker 8 (28:10):
Yeah, I don't got no lives.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Wow.

Speaker 9 (28:12):
Oh and by the way, that and and and just
to kind of also add on as a caveat of this,
that's actually down twenty two percent from the season one
debut the premiere, so it's.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
Almost ten million watch the season premiere because knowing it
was coming off of the Game of Thrones, because I
hyped out.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
It's a prequel.

Speaker 9 (28:29):
It's a prequel because so this was a it was
also of the books too, because he did prequel books
of that too.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
So this is just it's like doing Harry Potter and
like this the prequel there.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
Yeah, I'm lost on it. Yeah, I don't watch I'm
lost on all of that stuff. My my, my kid's mother.
She watched Game of Thrones and I hear and she's
watching this ice Was it ice Dragon?

Speaker 3 (28:46):
Is it called is it fire Dragon? No, it's called
Copa America. I wish these are times I wish I
could like vulgarly curse.

Speaker 8 (28:58):
Sassy for I'm you can't dump it.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
You're twenty twenty four the Targarians.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
Verse the High Towers.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
All right, Oh, but on the topic, if I was
dragon real quick, because I mean this.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
Go for it? Uh do we have to?

Speaker 1 (29:17):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (29:17):
I think people are people are lying about this one.
Though it's not nearly as good as Game of thrown.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
Oh no, it's not, as it's not.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
But well, I mean the ending of Game of Thrones sucked.
But that's another thing.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Well, the totality of the Game of Thrones first few seasons,
Game of Thrones blowing house and Dragon out of the wall.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
That's normally how TV and movies go, with the exception
of Godfather to in Dark Knight, name me something that
the first Spider Man two can't touch. The original spot.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Spider Man to a Dark arc beat Spider On.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 5 (29:47):
Yes, it was so much better.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
No, oh mind, no the hell, it was just longer.
It was just long.

Speaker 4 (29:52):
It was it was just no, no, no you. I
will not let you. I will let you.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
I will not let you be smirched William like that.

Speaker 8 (30:00):
No, he was great.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
I will not let you do that.

Speaker 9 (30:03):
That second movie was so it was just like it
was just my favorite sequel of all time.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Over Dark Knight.

Speaker 9 (30:10):
I'm gonna be real with you. I grew up with
with that trilogy. I grew up with that as a kid.
I love it a little overrated.

Speaker 8 (30:16):
Whoa dude, shut your mouth, Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
Over Michael Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson were the better Batman.

Speaker 8 (30:24):
Joe WHOA all right, yeah, let's all right.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
Let's cut the brake. I will say I did not.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
I think Batman is almost a little bit better when
it's kind of making fun of itself to your point,
like the Michael Keatons and those were kind of a
little more outlandish, and it was true.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Original Batman is the greatest one ever made, that's not
a question. But the greatest sequel up there as far
as sequels go A movies, Dark Knight, Godfather, Too, Rocky two.
There's some sequels it's not the norm. Like Bad Boys
two was great, but it's nothing's gonna ever touch Bad
Boys one. Nothing's ever gonna touch Mike, Mike Lowry and
Marcus Burnett. The first time around, you get a chance

(31:03):
to add some more things. And this show you guys
are talking about. I don't watch.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
I have no idea, but I know Martin is deep
in this stuff.

Speaker 4 (31:07):
He he watches a lot of He was very emphatic
right now, just saying, hey, but let me touch on this. Yeah,
it is not as good better, and you jumped right it.
So I I believe you guys because I don't watch it.
But you know, the second as they add on to it,
it's never gonna be what that first Game of Thrones were.
You got a recent sequel I think might be better
than the original.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
Go for it. What a Quiet Place Part two?

Speaker 8 (31:30):
You know, I haven't known that.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
I think fire. I can't wait to go see the third.
It's already out there.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Okay, yeah, but the first fire, I just.

Speaker 8 (31:50):
Think those kind of dumb like you can't make noise.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
I mean, it's I'm surprised that I'm into it as
much as it is, because it's like the premise is
so silly.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
But yeah, I'm in. I'm all the way in.

Speaker 8 (32:02):
Imagine if that happened in real life. No, I'd be
the first one out of you would die within two seconds.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Your cell phones nowadays, somebody, some idiot behind in the closet,
it'll forget to cut the message.

Speaker 8 (32:20):
On our series starts. I didn't get that series theory
randomly dogs.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
As far as far as trilogy goes, there there is
a trilogy where it was not a trilogy, and that
made five of them.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
But at the point it was a trilogy. I thought
the third surpassed the first and the second, and that
was parts of the Caribbean at World's Inn.

Speaker 8 (32:38):
I thought, you're gonna say fast and furious.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
I'm faster and first guy.

Speaker 9 (32:44):
I'm not a fast and furious guy. I've only seen
the third one. I can I can only say that
if we're we're ranking them, the third is the best,
third is the best. Third and then first. That's the
only word. That's the only one I see.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
It's not the best. But Tokyo Drift gets so distre
expected it was actually a really good one. I'm not
gonna just throw it in.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
The Fast five was the best bro.

Speaker 8 (33:06):
Get out of here, No it's not.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
The last five is when the makers are Fast Interferos
quit asking why and started asking why not?

Speaker 3 (33:15):
And that was all like you can see it. They
were like, you know, why would you?

Speaker 5 (33:19):
Why would asking why are we here?

Speaker 9 (33:21):
Anymore?

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Like why would you get into the car to do this?
And then they's like why would I not? Brazil?

Speaker 4 (33:26):
It's crazy and just real quick, I've heard Martin use
this exactly. He doesn't mean that because you mentioned I
don't watch them, but he mentions about driving the car
out of the building in Dubai or something like that. Why, yeah,
I think it's eight. I don't watch him no more
because I thought they got stupid.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
Yeah I did.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
I thought he like, like, you said, why not drive
a car out of a building?

Speaker 3 (33:45):
Well, because you probably shouldn't drive a car.

Speaker 8 (33:49):
Floor you know, them flying to the freaking moon with
Cardi b is the stupidest concept ever, and honestly, I
think they should just branded to the ground.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
But I think if you're looking for high level cinema
when you go see the Fast interfere you're in the
wrong place. You want to go inside the actor studio
with Ben Diesel and like so so when you were
driving the cars through the skyscrapers, you by how did
you channel your inner your inner emotion to make sure.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
The concept of the of some of the action scenes.
I get.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
But just logically I'm watching, I'm like, Okay, if you
drive the car out this way, Okay, it's not gonna
land like this.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
It's not gonna land without exploding. The car is gonna blow.

Speaker 9 (34:37):
But but but, but hence why I say it number
three is the best because they'll do all of that
and you see this.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
You can't drift. Yeah, you can drift in your movie.
Go watch Off and Hunt.

Speaker 5 (34:51):
I just like, I like, I like the number three.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
Screening for that, And the only thing that saved me
was the projector broke for like about an hour, so
I got to take a fifteen minute break.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
How long that movie is?

Speaker 5 (35:05):
Yeah, three too long.

Speaker 8 (35:06):
I've never seen that, even see Barbie, Like I didn't
care about the whole Barbie versus Oppenheimer thing to the day.
I've never seen that.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
To me, Barbie clear as Oppenheimer.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
I agree, I agree, you see Barbie I agree.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
I saw Barbie two. Why'd you ask him? Because I've
heard people is it a tear jerker? No, I mean
not to him.

Speaker 8 (35:27):
He didn't cry, but I heard people like cry about it.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
Okay, Well, I think we've the one thing that we
have established on this Meriandering show today is that Mary
Max just track trafficksing circles that we don't.

Speaker 8 (35:39):
Whoa, I haven't seen the damn movie.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah, I was about to say, that's that's what he's
getting at. Cover it up.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Next the Boot or not to Boot, and we'll have
a little more Fourth of July talk Martin wisss BJ Husky,
and on the fifth of July, America's Hangover for Jason
Smith and his best friend Mike Carmon.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Martin White's and v J Husky, And for Jason Smith
and his best friend Mike Harmon here on Fox Sports
Radio on America's Hangover the fifth of July.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
I loved you said that going to the break. That's good.
You should Yeah, man, you should get down T shirt
July fifth, America's hangover. That makes a lot of sense.
That's a good one. I'll have to talk to my
T shirt guy.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
There you go, man, I'm thinking about getting them a
little homes man. They're like one hundred and forty hundred
and sixty bucks and all you have to do is
have the software and you load the picture your own
stuff and print and that way you can put any
type of like sports athletes or it's saying's on your
T shirts and stuff.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
I'm thinking about it, man.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
What did you think about the fourth of July hot
dog eating Contest?

Speaker 3 (36:49):
Now? What's his name? Uh? Thank you?

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Joey Chestnut couldn't participate in the mL E major eating contest.
I didn't even know that she was backed by some
other oh eating brand.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
A vegan dog or something, right, So he had his.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Own contest in Texas, which was live stream to raise
over one hundred thousand dollars. I forget the name of
the person who actually won the hot dog eating contest
for the men the women with something like Mickey Pseudo
or something with who won that? But what is what
are your I learned this to be the most disgusting
thing that people do.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
Martin, This is the worst type of competition that I've
ever seen in my life. It's disgusting.

Speaker 4 (37:32):
Okay, it's know, we are on the same page when
I watch see I do come from my air guys,
when they would just eat the hot dogs in the bun,
I'm that old to remember that. Then they started getting
creative and separating them and dipping.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
The buns in water.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
And I don't even like when Kyle of Green Juice
touches my corn brand, So I definitely don't want water
on my hamburger or hot dog bun.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
You ever get a service from Jersey Mikes and you
don't fit shit right away? But you got it. But
you got it the mike's waist, so it's got what
the oil and vinegar on it. The longer that.

Speaker 4 (38:05):
Sarawar sits, what happens to the bread guys. So when
you go back a few hours and you grass like
you end up ripping those little pieces of the bread off,
because who I don't want to eat that, But to
watch these people shove food like that down their throats,
almost earling, almost throwing up, almost I did watch the
video of the guy chug the lemonade. What the hell

(38:27):
that guy's gonna have an ulcer. That's a lot of citrus.
Assin baby going down. That's not even a gallon. That
thing's huge.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
I just and then we wonder why, you know, gluttony
and then hell yeah, yeah, and health is such an
eating and such a problem in the nation. There you go.
Hot dogs. You guys, ever seen the way of hot
dog's made? I saw it.

Speaker 8 (38:47):
Have you seen, snoop?

Speaker 4 (38:47):
I haven't had yes, yes, And and I believe I'm
not I'm not hanging with the guy. I don't know,
but I believe he hasn't touched one since because I
saw an interview after that. I think he's on the
Breakfast Club or one of those interviews, and he was
asked about that. He was like, nah, no more be
cuz he said he let him go. I let him
go when I saw how they were made. And I
thank you. I appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
I told you, I told you, Monty and I or
the accent can't get queens around here.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Same thing.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
You gotta have an accent. You gotta have an accent.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
You do so. But anyway, Mark, I'm with you, brother,
this is disgusting. This is I can't believe this is
really a thing, and people sit and watch and I
do believe. Don't they go like in the back or
go somewhere, and don't they release it all back up afterwards?

Speaker 3 (39:33):
Like you can't hold There's no way you can.

Speaker 4 (39:35):
Hold all of that in your system until it's time
to go, you know, to the restroom.

Speaker 3 (39:39):
There's just there's there's no way. I just think it's
a waste.

Speaker 4 (39:42):
Let's let's find something else, man, Let's let's create something
else for America's birthday. Being a former army soldier, coming
from an army family that has served the country and
protected this country, and come from people It's America's birthday.
I respect America's birthday. Man, Can we come up with
something else? I don't have an idea right now. I mean,
you know what they could do is just baseball? Why

(40:04):
why are we not watching?

Speaker 2 (40:06):
Like baseball just all day, all day, started at freaking
ten am local time, all the way to ten pm
here and play, uh and play I'm talking about ten
am freaking Eastern I don't care.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
But play just rivalry games.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Yeah, Yankees in the Red Sox and you name it,
you like the Cubs in the Red Rodgers and the Giants, Giants,
the Giants up here for the all of these rivalry
series and have them all be on the fourth of
the life stackered like the NBA does Christmas Day. That's
my plan because if I got to sit here and
people tell me that, oh man, he's a real athlete. No,
it's disgusting. It's wrong with people.

Speaker 9 (40:39):
I'm not just doing like a spicy hot wings like competitions.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
I saw that.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
I don't want to see anybody.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
Yeah they eat, Yeah the chicken wing one where they
rotate like this are the flats they put in but
make it super sy Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
