Fread Mike Carmon right here on Fox Sports Radio. Good evening, VJ.
How you doing tonight, Buddy?

Speaker 4 (01:02):
I'm always doing that standing is I always tell people.
Man if I wasn't, I would never tell anybody but
my two therapists in God anyway. But look, don't be
trying to start off being my friend. I'm reading this
text message that you just say to how you was
gonna start the show. So don't try, don't try to
finagle me and be all nice and then but then
tell me what you just told me in this text message.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
I text, I said, I got to start by ripping
you guys. Don't don't be all sensitive or anything like that.
But I well, for I have to start like this.
First of all, our producer Ryan Bursinger, there's the reason
why I fired him three times. He's like, all right,
did you write out the show? I go, I wrote
out the show because you didn't put Monci on the show.
I said, I put Moncia, you put the wrong time.
I said, all right, now, I put Monzi in the

(01:40):
right time. You only put it down for one segment.
That's gotta be two. I go, right now, Bonzi's got
two segments. Can you explain the segments to me? No?
I can't explain the segments to you. You gotta ask questions.
What kind of questions am I gonna be asking you?
I don't know. You just go ahead, and you're gonna
have to wait. I can't wait till Bozi comes on.
I have no idea, what I have, no idea what
to ask her what you're gonna do? But I'm very curious.

(02:01):
And then then there's you for crying out out. Coming
up later on the show. Vj's gonna have his top
six million people he doesn't like in the NFL, and
he needs like a week and a half to go
through the list. You have a list of the top
like six million. I'm like, can't we keep it to
like top five? You're like, no, no, no, I got the
top seven hundred and thirty seven things that you can't

(02:22):
do in the NFL. I'm like, let's cut it down
to maybe ten or something there, VJ. I mean, my
goodness for crying out loud.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
No, that's low hanging fruit, man, I like, I like
to look, I don't. I don't care about the moon.
I don't believe in it anyway. I'm shooting for the stars.
I'm trying to hit one of those stars that Miss
Johnson in the third grade in astrology told me that
that shot him. Excuse me, told me that star is
something something something billion light years away. I'm like, okay, well,
how can I see it though, Like you're telling me
it's that far but I still can see it. It's huge, right,

(02:52):
So that's what that's where I shoot for man, And
it's not seven hundred and fifty seven, it's seven hundred
and sixty four.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
You gotta get your stats right. Yeah, you're like, are
we gonna I it's gonna take you like a week
and a half just to go through that list. I
don't even have to write on a show Mejay's top
seven hundred and sixty eight days and we'll just go
ahead and we'll listen to it. But we we do
have a lot. Now. Look, I I have understress. You
guys were not working last night, so you may not
know what's going on here in my neck of the woods. Serious,

(03:20):
very serious thing going on yesterday. Got an email from
the people in my neighborhood. A lot of people may
not know this. I live in rural Vermont, and I
guess there's been some black bear sidings near my house.
You know, so I have I've locked my doors, but
you know, I think these black bears are kind of
stronger than locked doors out there. And I said yesterday

(03:42):
on the show, I do have a bat, but it's
more like a whiffle ball bat. You know, those red
ones with the big with the big you know, with
the you know, the big part at the end. I
have I have that. I have. I have a knife,
but it's really more like a butter knife, if you
know what I mean. You know that we're putting butter
on some tow and I do have a big lighter

(04:02):
with like, uh, you know, a liceol can.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
So now you've got a good knives around there with
all that, with all that cake and cobblers and pods
that you eat around your crib, there's knives. Don't tell me,
all you guys, a butter knife could it wouldn't have
cut that blueberry cheesecake that I saw. So you got
real knives in the crib grab.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
But I'm just saying, you know, but sometimes the big
lighter with the liceol you know, that's how you kill
spiders back when you were a kid and maybe burn
down your house. So I've armed myself with that. I
don't think the whiffleball batter the butter knife is is
really gonna go ahead and save me anything. I And
I got a lot of people sending me tweets on
what to do, people like play Dead, Yeah, I go, yeah,

(04:42):
I play dead until until the bear gets me and
he starts eating me, and I'm that, I'm that, I'm
really gonna be dead. Some people say, I don't know,
punch it in the nose, but I thought that's what
you do to a shark, isn't it. VJ.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
I don't know, because I don't go that far into
the ocean water where you can, you.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Don't have to go that far.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
It seems like I've never seen any get bent on
the ankles, so that's where the water touches me out.
I've seen guys get bit on the calf Okay, cool,
no calf water. I ain't never seen nobody get bent
on the ankles. Bat ankle water for VEJ. Standing at
the beach watching my kids, letting the world observe the
dad Bob. That's that's how I get down at the beach.
As far as the play dead day, that's the stupidest. Listen,

(05:18):
real talk, that's the that's the dumbest self defense thing
I've ever heard of my life.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
This play dead. So let a.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Grizzly bear come over me and sniff me and then
still decide whether he's hungry enough to eat something alive
or something that might be dead.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
What was that movie? What was it with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Is that who it was? Yeah? I never saw it,
but he did he went to Oscar for that or
was up for Yeah? Yeah, he barely did any lines.
He just got eaten by a bear. Is that what happened?

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Okay, I don't know. I didn't I didn't watch it. Yeah,
bear movies, that's that's the way I'm gonna go down here.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
I can see him go down to the market and
then the bear's gonna go ahead take me down. So yeah,
I gotta be careful going out there. So I do
have the I think the big glider in the uh
you know, the lights all can is really the best
way to go, though I I don't know if I
could really pull it out fast enough, you know me.
The bear's charging me and I'm like, wait a minute,
mister bear. The lighters not lighting for zec and I

(06:10):
can't get this thing with us.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Man, Just say so you'll be safe, no worry about
don't go like, don't go for nature walks. That's not
your life's not right now anyway, you No.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
No, I could see the bear coming out of nowhere
all right, and we do have a lot to get to.
It is a busy show. We got the next four hours,
as we told you, if you want to get in,
By the way, what is your Twitter address, because it
seems like you have a half a dozen out there.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
No, I only got one man, stop trying to be funny.
His VJ Vernon Husky at the Big Vanilla Funny. Just
find me at the Big Vanilla Funny. I'm tagged. I'm
on Twitter looking at the tweet right now, so I'm
tagged with some of the stuff that you threw out there.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Okay, because I'm already looked at it. They already put
down our producer put down the rug address for you.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
No, it's good at Big Vanilla Funny. Oh yeah, I'm
ready to run there you go.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
You can reach me. It's stinking genius one. Because we
are getting a lot of tweets out there, we'll get
to those later on. I'll I like to read those VJ.
They're always kind of fun and always some good questions
out there, so we'll get to that. I did want
to go ahead and start with the USA Men's game today.
I don't know if you had a chance to watch that.
They were playing in Australia looked real good in the
first half. I got out to a pretty decent lead,

(07:13):
built it to about twenty two or or twenty fourth.
Then all of a sudden in the second half they
kind of fell apart. They weren't playing defense the whole
second half. The lead had been cut down the five,
and I believe, if I'm correct, Australia even had the
ball so a three pointer away of cutting it down
the tour, or maybe even three. They obviously didn't get

(07:35):
a bucket. I think it might have been four to
one point, might have been got as low as four.
Check this out. Australia scored sixty eight points in the
pay the page, sixty eight. They took it to us.
I don't care what kind of court we're playing on.
I don't care if it those from twelve minutes to
ten minutes, six fouls to five fouls, they let you play.

(07:58):
They don't let you play hard fouls, no hart fouls.
This game should not have been close. We were twenty
one and a half point favorite, and we looked, we
just look, it's embarrassing this and I know it's just
a friendly game, and it has no ramification on what
goes on. But my goodness, when you put on that
USA jersey, have some pride, play some defense. I don't

(08:22):
know if it's the coaching, my buddy Steve Kerr, I
don't know what the heck is going on. Never should
have been that close. Did you care about this? What
did you think of me? Jay?

Speaker 4 (08:31):
I thought very very little of it because I'm just
not locked into the USA basketball just yet. I'm waiting
until they get to the group play. The group stages
have been released right as far as the teams in
the group, we should walk through that group on an average,
I think maybe twenty seven to thirty points. But I
do think Canada and maybe France can make things interesting.
I still think we're walking away with the gold. I
don't think anybody's beating USA in the gold medal game

(08:53):
or making us take a bronze game and win and
winning that bronze medal. I don't think that's happening. But
the paint is gonna be an issue. When you talk
about defense, it's like, no.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
They care.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
I think they all. I think all these guys care
that USA is on their chest. They're gonna go represent
some guys it's their first time Lebron. This is I believe,
his third time he started back in four. This is
Steph Curry's first time there. Kevin Durantz got a gold
medal like this, These guys I think really care. The
reason why the defense looks bad is because American basketball

(09:22):
just has bad defense. We have to recognize that and
know that going overseas, the rules are different, the land
is wider, you can goaltend. The interesting thing that's gonna
be for me with Team USA today, the officiating seemed
like it wasn't a lot like NBA officiated. It looked
like international type official and wherever. He was like, we're
gonna call you know, obvious fouls. But I still see

(09:43):
walkin try. They still you know, carry the ball by
putting their hair and under it. But if they get
into a situation where a team is dominating them in
a post and they're not hitting their jump shot, USA could,
and that's a far stretch, could be.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
In trouble. But it doesn't look He goes to the point,
we what, we have big men out there. What's going on?
We have the best out there with Joel Embiid. What
the heck?

Speaker 4 (10:06):
And by the way, he's a big man, but he
does play in the post.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Well, in case you didn't know this, VJ, this is
breaking news. Okay, breaking news. Joel Embiid's career is O
V E R. It's over. It's done with. I don't care.
He just recently wins the MVP. We're on the downside now.
He wasn't the same since the playoffs last year, played
half a year. It's done so for him, he just
doesn't look good out there. I don't like the way

(10:30):
we're looking. And come on, now, I don't know. Tubby
doesn't play in the post. As far as I've been sure,
when you score sixty eight points, you're scoring all your
points against all five guys in the post. I don't
care if they're in the post or not. I'm I'm
saying all five guys on the floor, it's on them
that you let somebody penetrate past you and score. It's
on all five guys that are on the floor that

(10:52):
they're scoring in the post out there is my point.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Yeah, that's that's fine if you make that point. But
we're talking about you said big men, You said where
are big men? That was your statements. So the big
men or AD and ad AD should start. I've been
on records since this team got put together. You gotta
start a d I don't understand why Embiid is starting.
I honestly, truly don't understand why Embiid is even there.
If I'm Embiid, I would have taken this opportunity to say, look,

(11:16):
I you know, maybe I missed the Olympic gold medal
in my career, in my life and what have you.
But I thought he should have stayed home and got
ready for this season. Is obviously Philly is pushing in
all their chips this year with all the signings and
all the moves they're making to go get get past
Boston and get to an NBA finals and hang a banner.
But as far as USA defense, we don't play great
defense here in America, so it's not gonna translate just automatically.

(11:38):
We just have the firepower where USA we have the
best players. I know, there's you know, Jokic. Doncic is out.
He didn't make it, so he's not even gonna be
in the Olympics. And yes, I think Canada's got a
nice team, and I think France has got a nice team.
But at the end of the day, we do have
the better players, we do have the stars. They can
play crappy defense. They're still gonna win the gold medal.
So my thought on your original question about what I

(12:00):
thought about this today, call me after group stage and
ask me again. Now, I mean, we're gonna dominate every
team and then we'll win through our group and then
let me see how it falls there with the bracket
looks like. Then I'll say what I think we dominated.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
We didn't dominate today. Then we had some guy named
Jack Lansdale take us the task for score twenty points.
We're gonna dominate our group. He's like a Hall of Favor.
Australia is a good team. They're not Readaniels went sixth freight,
scored fourteen points. I mean they were taking us apart.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Arnie, Arnie, Barnie. Australia is a good team. Though they
got good play. They're a good team. Go look at
our group about our group is very easy.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, that's fine, but that still doesn't make up Just
because our group is easy, it still doesn't make up
for the effort that we gave today. That'll be a lot.
I mean, if it wasn't for Patty Mills, that haveing
a good shooting day. Who knows they may win that game.
We're twenty one and that point favorite. It's not the
fact that it's a friendly game and it was semi close.
It's the fact that we have the USA jersey on,

(13:03):
and you know, these Olympics are important. We want to
go ahead and win this thing. Go ahead and show
some pride. All I hear about is, oh, who's going
to start? Even you said, well, I thought, Anthony Davis,
you know what, it doesn't make it. I should start.
It doesn't making of it. Who starts it?

Speaker 4 (13:18):
You still ay Alreadie, you still do got a little
jumpy on you.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
You still got a little jumpy all your videos. It
doesn't make a difference who starts. I don't care you
want to start the five worst guys on the team.
It doesn't make a difference to me. Just have a
little pride. I didn't think we had that pride today.
Thank goodness that some people stepped up. Booker came up
with some big buckets, so did Anthony Davis. But it, uh,

(13:42):
you know, we shot decently. Steph Curry didn't shoot the
ball so well. I'm surprised that it's not a jump
shooting team though.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
That's the problem. That is one thing that is the
problem with this team. When I look at this team
and I go, Okay, we have star power, like we
got star power for days, but this is not a
jump shooting three point We have Steph Curry and that
is supposed to you know, I guess take care of
all of that. Halliburn and can also Tyrese Haliburn. He
can also hit the three. Anthony Edwards is okay, He's

(14:09):
he's a to me, he's an average three point shooter.
He can get on streaks and hit a bunch, but
then he can also go really really cold. He really
this is gonna be more of a I think penetration
wing type team. It feels like get the ball, a
lot of pick and roll, picking, pop, picking up down
that that that that type of game. When ad comes in,

(14:29):
you can you can slow things down. You can even
io a D on each side of the block. And
this doesn't feel like a shooting team. There's no Ray Allen,
there's no Michael red There's there's been teams in the
past where they literally went and made sure they got
like two three point shooters that were that were gonna
be A players and put them on the you know,
and put them on the drink team. Excuse me not
to drinking, but the USA Olympic basketball team. This I

(14:50):
think this team is missing that in the name Steph
Curry kind of you know, it glosses over. He's like, well,
hell the hell they got stuff, which rightfully so he
earns that type of eight they got Steph. But if
Steph's off, who else is gonna be banging down the
threes for us in the Olympics. But who's stopping Lebron
on the wing, Tatum on the wing, Airwards on the wing,

(15:11):
a d down on the block, in a bam out
of Bayo doing Who's gonna what other country has enough
guys to stop all of that?

Speaker 3 (15:19):
It's just my main point today. I give you, I
give you, I give you today. It was Australia, but
it was today. If you like the effort today, that's fine.
But it didn't. It didn't move me either way. All right,
let me ask you this. Look, I don't want to
reach for things, and I know this is going to
be a little bit of a reach. Steph Curry one
for six, all from three point range. And I didn't

(15:40):
really know this until just a couple of weeks ago.
This is his first Olympics first.

Speaker 4 (15:45):
Yeah, he's always taking the time off.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Did he get a little bit of the of the nerves,
a little bit of the butterflies before the game? Or
no yet, you can't get the button no one for six.
Then that's just it's just cold night, man.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
It's they're over. Do you know where they played, right?
They're on the other side of the world, right right, right, Yeah,
they're on the other side of the world. They just
got off a flight. And I didn't know that until
I saw the clip of all the I don't want
to mess the name, but all.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
The chiks that Arabia, yeah, that were that were welcomeing in.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
And the flash bubbs you can always tell American flash
bubbs and international flash bubs. I'm like, where they are
and I ready to catch that. Oh wow, they've already
left Vegas. They're on the other They're on the other
side of the globe. So you know, maybe tired, you know,
jet lag, that's a long flight, man, And then you
gotta suit up and play against a good team that's
that's playing their ass off.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
They're austral trying to win today. You know what I'm saying. No,
they were There's no tath they were playing hard. I
will I will give you that they were playing tough.
They got behind in the first half, they made a
good run. They it was I thought it was like
twenty four before they made like a fourteen to two
running and cut into the lead, and next thing you know,
it was a five or four point games as they

(16:50):
weren't good enough STEPH one for six.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
You know, and think about it, all those points in
the paint, STEPH one for six. You played your ass off,
and you know, there's people that think America didn't give
it their and he still couldn't beat us.

You heard the man, vj Usky and Arnie Span. You're

(18:11):
in for the guys tonight, Jason Smith and his best
friend Mike Carmon right here on Fox Sports Radio. Still
a busy show. Lots to get to. Montsy gonna join
us later on this hour. We'll have Underrated and Overrated,
so we'll get to that a little bit. One thing
I wanted to start off this hour with vj Big
news coming from the people here at Fox Sports, Fox

(18:32):
Sports one, Fox Sports one TV. People have been tweeting
me about the rumor. Yes it's true. Skip Bayless is
stepping down from his TV show at the end of
the summer, so I assume we're talking late August, so
another what four to six more weeks and Skip will
be stepping down. Did you watch that show? I'm a

(18:55):
fan of Skips. I like the show. I also liked
it when it was with chatting a lot more though
when they were together, I thought there was some good debate,
but I always enjoyed it. I thought people were hard
on Skip way too much than he deserved. But I
was one of the fans of the show. VJ.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
No, I don't watch a lot of debate show TV.
I have my own two TV shows out here, the
Fanity TV out here in Los Angeles. Got my son,
cam my four year old son, my two year old
daughter Journey. So my son's on a spectrum man, so
he requires a lot of daddy's attention. So I don't
have time to watch that during it y esecially in
the summertime, where we're doing a lot going out, going places,
trying to get as much daddy time in with my

(19:36):
little ones as I can bro before school starts. He's
a full kindergartener this year, so he's not getting out early.
He's got a full day so I'm trying to spend
as much time with them. Someone in the business once
told me, don't watch too much and don't listen too much.
He listened to my demo tape. Right I had a
demo Little Real and Mike Hill say, hey, send it
to this guy. He was over at ESPN. I sent
it to me, listened to it. He goes, you're good,

(19:57):
and you can make something to this business. It'll take
you a little long longer because I wasn't on the
path of you know, journalism in school, in college. I
went to the military straight out of high school and
then went to play semi pro football. He told me,
he goes, don't listen to too much and don't watch
too much because it will start to infiltrate the way
you see things and the way you hear things and
the way you've used sports. So I cut out on
debate shows about a decade ago. Oh wow, oh yeah,

(20:19):
I've cut out on I've cut out. I see clips,
I've seen.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
What said like around the Horn.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
Oh no, no, no, that's not a debate show though. Okay,
see that's what I love. Around the Horn. I watch
it every day. That and I grew up in the DNV,
So I grew up with the Washington Post, so I
grew up reading. My introduction to sports journalism. Sports reporting
was Michael wilbonm and Tony Kornheiser, right, So I've been
with those guys since I was freaking eight years old.
So when they got a TV show, that's the first

(20:45):
time I saw what they looked like because I was
just reading their words in the Washington Posts. I used
to get in trouble for taking the sports page every day.
My stepdad hated that he's the all if the sports
page wasn't there, he knew what was, and then I
would take it in my room and it would make
it even more upset because they're get in trouble and
I'd hide it once he was looking for it instead
of just going all right, pas, look man, I was
trying to see what the skins are the bullets, or
just trying to see what the Dolphins did last night.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
They didn't air the game here, so I don't know
what happened.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
This is before you know they internet, so when you
had to get the paper, you know, or you had
to listen to radio to figure out what was going
on in sports. So no, I haven't watched the show
in a in a long time, but I do respect him.
He's put a lot into this business for the for
the stuff he takes. You know, some of it maybe
rightfully so because of the whole Lebron angle and then

(21:30):
but he's been in this business cowboys obviously, but that's
I'm never gonna knock anybody for being a fan of
their team, because I'm a fan of my squads.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
But he goes all the way back.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
If if you remember the Pony Excess thirty for thirty
about the SMU scandal. When I saw him on that,
that changed my whole perspective of him because I didn't
know he'd worked for the Dallas Star or the Mornial whatever.
There were two competing papers in Dallas at the time
for the for the old school Big eight, right, and
he worked for one of them, and that became the
hustle to see who can get that story. When I

(22:00):
saw him on that documentary, I'm like, wow, skip goes
all the way back to that, and it made me go, yeah, people,
this guy knows what he's taught. Yeah, he's got some
crazy opinions, but at the end of the day, when
you see his body of work and how long he's
been in this business and how he started. You gotta
kind of tip your hat. The TV stuff is TV stuff,
but he's done a lot in his career for the business.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Is there next best thing? I mean, first of all,
do people other than you are just us? Do people
get up? I gotta watch Skip, I gotta watch Debate Joe,
I gotta I gotta watch the Morning Ors. There the
next thing coming? What is? What is the next content?

Speaker 4 (22:34):
Content? Get on radio content. I tell any young kids
that I'm mentor create content. That's how I got to Arnie.
That's how I got here. I don't come from the
journalism schools. I don't and I'm not because I wish
I had. I wish i'd have taken a different route.
Because I respect sports writers. I respect the stories all
I interned here or interned their back. Oh I know
that announcer because I worked with him. I turned there

(22:55):
twenty years. Like I don't have those stories. I like
to hear that type of stuff from people that make
me jealous, that make me hate. It makes me go, okay, cool,
your your journey was cool, but mine's cool too. But
mine's different.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
So I did.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
I didn't take that route, so I've had to put
out content. It's how I got noticed and how somebody said, okay, hey,
let me let me make let me make a call
for you. Mike Hill. You know who Mike Hill is.
He's here Fox Sports Radio a FS one. That's my
big brother in Mint and Mint were in this business.
He was the first guy that picked up a phone
and said, V, hold on call. Somebody on three way
clicked back over V. This is such and such, such

(23:27):
and such, this is V. Y'all go ahead and wrap.
I'm gona put the phone down. I pitched myself. The
guy had me in New York in four days at
Serious Light Radio on the Scott Farrel show, How We're
Sterning one on one talking about the Final four coming.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Up, And it took off from there.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
But it came from, you know, sitting on an air
mattress in a one bedroom apartment recording my own show
on the mattress because I was broke as hell and
I thought my girlfriend was gonna break up with me
and I didn't know what to do with my life.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
That's how I got started in sports talk. But that's
what I want to know though, what what do people
do want to watch? I mean, do they want to
see the baby? We want to see the car bunch
of guys going back and forth. It's about, you know,
who's the best team or was that offensive.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
Or you know, even though we complain about it, they
want that. We want the car crash man, which is
sad because I myself, you and I'm Ernie.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
We have fun, bro.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
We we will debate, but we have fun when we
talk carcore entertaining, thought provoking sports.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
That's how I like to do it. Now.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
I can sit here and yell back and forth and
argue and get it and.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Well, you're a guy, didn't this, so you're a team
that I could do that, but I feel like the
business is saturated with that.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
So I try to stay who I am. My pops
and my mom always said, just be who you are,
don't try to be anything else, and do it with passion,
and do it with full force and everything will work out.
But people want the car crash, bro, even even myself.
If there's a car crash on the highway tomorrow morning, Arnie,
you're gonna look over. You're gonna look You're gonna look over,
even though you know what's going on.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
You you can't, you know, help yourself put up a barrier.

Speaker 4 (24:50):
Yeah, like we're still slow down to look at the barrier.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
If you want to get a real simple, big vanilla
fuddy up and stinking genius one, I do want to
go ahead and get to some football. I you know,
Fox Sports, they got everybody together. I believe this is
from the TV side. They made their football picks. But
I want to do yours first. You wanted to give
your top ten NFL teams coming into this season. Do

(25:17):
you want to start at number one? Did you want
to start at number ten? Now let's started number ten.
Let's go backward. Let's start at number ten. And the
reason why and this is this will change. This is
going into training camp, right, things change exactly. Barn Andrew
or bar is some veteran we don't see coming getting
cut because he looks like he might have showed up
out of shape, and then he's not really playing that
well in the preseason games, and the front office goes,

(25:38):
you know what, let's save our money.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
Now, this guy's not in it. He's coming up on
a contract year. You know, he's he got a chunk
him up. We also we always see that, so but
I'll just jump right into us. It doesn't take a
lot of time. Number ten for me, the Cleveland Browns.
I love the Cleveland Browns. I love the Russian attack.
They're gonna get chubbed back. Their defense a Marik Cooper,
Miles Garrett like they they have dudes. Last year five
and zero games by three points or less, so they win.

(26:03):
They win close games. And remember they finished eleven and
six last year in a very tough division, which might
be the toughest division in football. This year, we was
going to be the AFC North. It could be there
could be all four teams over five hundred like it
was last year. And now we got a problem. One
of these other AFC divisions are not getting on wildcard.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
There by the way, we see that on the same page.
I had Cleveland number nine.

Speaker 4 (26:24):
Okay, so we got yeah, exactly, Ladarius Smith, big guy.
They brought over Quentin Jefferson, veteran thirty one years old.
But he's not for He's not for seventeen games. Quin
Jefferson's for later in the year when it's cold and
it's muddy and it's tracking in the field sucks, and
you got to just have a big plug in the
middle to stop the run and give your defense a
chance to make some plays. I thought that was a
really good pick up Jerry Judy. Maybe he changed the

(26:46):
scenery is what he needed. Dallas is at number nine.
For me, I still think they're a top ten team.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Arnie.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
There's still loaded with talent. They got some contract stuff.
You got Jerry Jones, you got the Sun, you got
the show, the radio appearance. But when you put him
on the field, I still think Micah Diggs, CD DAK
they still got some dudes. Man, they still got some guys.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
It's funny that you putting that. I put him in
number eight, so we did not go through it. No,
he didn't know. He didn't and I have no idea
what your listeners. A matter of fact, I only wanted
to do top five, but I added the five more
if Dallas at numbraight, so we kind of see that
about the same alsom.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
Yep, all right, number eight. I got the Houston Texans,
but I have him here. But I think this is
gonna change. I think this is gonna slide down once
we get through training camping through preseason. Because even though CJ.
Stroud had a great year last year. I gotta see
him do it again.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
I just do.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
You're a rookie now they have tape on you. Before
they just had college tape on you. When it defensive coaches,
when they get tape on rookies, it goes one way
or another. You either get better or you have a
sophomore That's where the term sophomore slump came from, right,
it came from quarterbacks falling off a little bit. But
Ryan's I love Anderson to pick out of Alabama. He's
a defensive stuff. They bring over Diggs now, is Dig's

(27:59):
gonna play nice?

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Pick?

Speaker 4 (28:01):
Yeah, big pickup, but it's really a rental because he
wants to be a free agent again. So he took
a lot of money up front. They adjusted some contract
numbers and justin do books to work? Will he play nice?

Speaker 3 (28:11):
If things don't go right, if his quarterback hits a sophomore.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Slump, that's gonna be something to watch for. That's gonna
be huge to watch work because he played nice and
with Josh Allen until things started to look like it
was going backwards, and then he showed I'm Stefan Dicks.
Same thing happened in Minnesota. Tiger doesn't change his stripes.
We gotta remember that kids schedule's tough for him though.
Seventh artists schedule and they only have four road wins

(28:35):
Nico Schultz, they add mixing, but three games that worry me.
They played Dallas, Casey and Baltimore. That could be three
losses right there for them at number eight, And.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
I thought I thought they'd be like at number ten
or eleven. But I could move them up. I could
see that. I just wanted to go ahead based on
a little bit on what they did last year. But
they do have some good pickups. I can see why
you had him not high. Who did you have.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
Next number seven. People are gonna be really really pissed
at me at this, but just hear me out. Number
seven is gonna be to my Dolphins. And this is
why number one offense in the league, number one passing
game in the league last year, Number six rushing offense
in the league last year, Number ten defense in the
league last year. So all of that in the top ten.
If you really look at that season, people can write
the narrative they didn't beat good teams. They got hosed

(29:17):
in England against Kansas City. That's not a fumble in
return by Tyreek because that play happens all the time,
and they call that an incomplete pass. In the NFL,
that was not a fumble in a return. They got holes.
People forget that was fourteen nothing in the first quarter.
They held Kansas City scoreless the rest of the game.
That defense. Did you lose Van Geinkle, you lose Wilkins.
I get that, But I do like Porter, I Skimmy Poyer.

(29:38):
I do like Barrett John new Smith Brooks, the linebacker,
Kendall Fuller, the corner. You get Chop Robinson out of
Penn State, you get a new defensive coordinator in there.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
The offense is going to keep humming. They just have
to shut their narrative up if they'll keep saying you
can't beat good teams until you do. They won eleven
of their first fifteen games last year. And then the
injury bug killed killed the defense. It killed the defense.
You had, uh, you had Phillips Blowers his achilles in Jersey, Tyreek.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
Hill missed time, Waddle missed five games last year, Moster
got hurt, a chain miss six game.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
He was on I R.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
And also Jeff Wilson missed a lot of time last year.
They had a lot of pieces at the wrong time.
Van Ginkle was out, Baker was out.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
And you're playing the Kansas City game in Antarctica for
christ Yeah, well.

Speaker 4 (30:28):
People had to get their fingers in total amputated because
it was so cold out there.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
No excuses.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
You lost the game, that's weather. But I put that
all in. People have to tell the complete story on
the Dolphins. Can't finish, You're right, But they also were
signing guys off the street to rush the quarterback, which
happens to be Pat Mahomes the week of the Kansas
City game. You can't, come on, You can't even put
that in the movie. No one, No one does that.
But they needed roster spots. They needed guys to just

(30:55):
suit up to try to go chase this guy down.
Remember Pat Mahomes looked like Cam Newton and game. He
was lowering his shoulder on Eli Apple like it was
nothing at the inside the five yard line. So if
that's why I have them there, you can't and you can't,
then I have the number five.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
So okay, yeah, I got him.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
As seven at a round home. That get change too,
Number six. I love this team man the Packers. I
love this song. I love this team. Jordan loves Legit
pay him now because if he blows up this year,
it's gonna.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Cost you more down the line. Somebody's gonna hit sixty.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
Million because two quarterbacks are at fifty five, so someone's
gonna hit sixty soon. I much rather be like Love
than Dak right. I much rather be a younger guy
than the guy that's already got a MAX deal before.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
I love Lafleur. They have a young receiver. Course, somebody's
gotta come out.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
You wanted to be Christian Watson, but somebody's gotta make
themselves known.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Xavier and mckinya.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
Safety is a big, big pickup.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
Guys. You cannot underestimate what this guy does and what
he brings to the football field.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Eleventh rank offense, fifteenth in rush. They move on from Jones,
older guy. You're gonna plug in Dylan the big body,
the big body bruiser from Boston College at the running
back position.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
I just I like this team.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
This division is gonna be tough because I like Minnesota
have a bounce back, and we know Detroit's good. I
don't think Chicago's good as everybody else thinks they're going
to be.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
So that's my six through ten.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
Give me the Browns at ten, Dallas at non Texans
at eight, Dolphins at six, and the Packers at se so,
Dolphins at seven, Packers at six.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
All right, bj Husky, Arnie Span, you're in for the
guys site Jason Smith and his best reread Mike Carmon
as were coming to you alive at the tirerech dot
Com studios. By the way, coming up next segment Overrated
Underrated j and Monsei. The only reason I'm promoting that
is because I wasn't sure it was coming up. Because
I texted you, going, are you ready for Overrated? Underrated?

(32:45):
You never text me back, so I have to ask
you this way. You just don't answer me. That's all got.
I didn't see the text message come through. Man.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
I do something different every commercial break. I don't just
sit here. Sometimes I get up and I leave. I'll
go get a ginger rail, or I'll make some notes.
I'll look on the internet for some stats or something
or peep up at it. They got the Lakers Summer
League game on replay.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Yeah, I'm watching it.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
And then the home run replay that is that live?
Oh yeah, see that's how checked out I am.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
There you go, and I didn't do that. That's real talk.
I didn't do that on purpose. That's how checked out
I am.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
I football. That's look.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
We got the Olympics and I'm gassed for but it's
football season.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
Bro. Let's get to your top five real quick, because
I know at the bottom of the hour, over and underrated.
So get to your top five. What do you have
at number five?

Speaker 4 (33:31):
I move out on this number five. I got the
Philadelphia Eagles. I think they have a bounce back year.
I think Sirianni knows how to act like an adult now.
Last year it took a lot of criticism. Should Hurts
was beat up all year long. He'll be in the
top three MVP race. Sakwan Barkley is the huge is
the huge addition here, and he is gonna run. I
can't wait to watch the Giants game when they go

(33:52):
back to New York to play that game.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
Yeah, sign me up, man. I haven't been numbered seven,
so we have him right around Okay.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
Yeah, got him at five, and they.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Also have the fourth.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
Last year, the Force the fourth most missed man games
thirty seven games missed the defensive backs, sixteen games missed
to linebackers. That won't happen again. Equals would be much
better Number eleven. I got the San Francis before stimme
number four, so I'm looking at eleven and a half.
Over and under. Vegas hasn't had wins the San Francisco
forty nine ers. Some people may think that, yeah, some

(34:23):
people may think this is low, but I go through
history two times. In the last thirty years in the NFL, guys,
there's only been two teams that ever go back to
the super Bowl after not making the super Bowl after
losing the Super Bowl. That's the New England Patriots and
the Buffalo Bills. So I'm gonna go with history on
this side. They still have a lot of weapons, but
it takes a lot out of you to get all
the way there and get to the fourth quarter and

(34:44):
get to overtime and lose to Pat Mahomes say.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
I just have to ask you, and he's gonna be
We're gonna be talking about him all year long, What
are you gonna get sick of hearing about Brock Purdy?
Whether he's an elite quarterback. He's not an elite quarterback.
They should get an upgrade. I mean, what does this
guy have to do to get everybody's respect?

Speaker 4 (35:03):
You tell me, you know why. It's not what to
answer the first part of your question. When am I
gonna get sick of it?

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Never?

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Because I don't watch all those debate shows that they
have these conversations on. But I know what you mean,
But I just put the tape on. He's got I'm
not gonna blame a guy for having weapons. That's just
a dumb thing for me to do to people. I
don't care how good he is. He's got CMC, he's
got who wants some.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Adebo, he's got kiddled.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
By the way, his wife Claire is the star of
Receiver on Netflix. If you haven't watched it, fans aren'te
you need to go check that out, fellas, Get you
one of those, Get you a Claire.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
But he's not a top ten quarterback.

Speaker 4 (35:35):
Though it's not hot. I don't know, man. All I
know is he doesn't matter. Though, yeah, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
That's the thing.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
It doesn't matter. Brandon Ayuk. That's something that's gonna be
worked out this year. Is Jenny's the guy to take
his place? Who knows when they get the contract. Defense
Stills have Warner Bosa, they still got Shanahan. They'll win,
They'll win a lot of games. But I just don't
know if they'll get back to the super Bowl. But
I have him gone into camp here and for at
number three over nunder eleven and a half wins out
of Vegas for the Baltimore Ravens. Adding Derek Henry changes.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
It changes everything. Arnie.

Speaker 4 (36:05):
You add that type of hoss back there, How would
you like to be the d N trying to figure
out on RPO whether Lamar is keeping it or you
gotta slam down inside to tackle? You know, a RoboCop
running back. And when guys get let go or leave
a team running backs when they hit twenty nine thirty
thirty one, they normally have one really good, okay chip
on my shoulder. You don't think I can do it

(36:27):
type here? Deck Henry still got about a year that
left in and reminds me of Whillen Dany and Tomlinson
got cut from San Diego, goes to the Jets, almost
runs four thousand yards when people said he was done.
Reggie Bush, Salvens, Yeah, that Reggie Bush. Marcus Sallin goes
to Kansas City, Reggie Bush goes to the Dolphins, runs
four thousand yards when Reggie Bush was supposed to be done.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
So I think that's gonna help them out there. Zay
Flowers to me, is the next Tyreek Hill. I said
it last year. Watched this kid out of Boston College
continue to grow. Lamar Jackson. It's Lamar Jackson, and they
got a coach by the nighborhood. That's a whole other
dim exactly. So at number two, I like the Detroit
Lions here I had have been number three.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
Yeah, I Dan hutch Branch, Saint Brown, Laporta golf and
Montgomery at the running back. I mean they have Dage
had studs also to Jamison Williams, that kid out of
Alabama that started off slow at the injury, then got
into the gambling stuff. All that's clear now you thought
Tyreek and Waddle is a fast combination. Watch him in

(37:26):
Saint Brown this year and Laporter work in the middle
scenes in the meeting, in the defense, at the tight end,
who can stretch the field and get outside of the perimeter.
The hashmarks Watch Golf Golf can throw for five thousand
yards this year. I love this team. Gonna be a
tough division because once again I think Green Bay is good.
I think Minnesota has a bounce back year. But I
like them their first place schedule. They have three back

(37:46):
to back road games this year, Dallas, Minnesota, Green Bay, Houston, Chicago,
San Francisco. That's either gonna doom their season, it's gonna
flip their season. The only team that's got three back
to back road games this year. That's what happens when
when you when you win your division, your schedule gets
harder and you're getting fans and number one, the easiest

(38:08):
call to make Kansas City Chiefs. You know what I
wrote next to her name self explanatory. Yes, they're the
new Patriots, Ladies and gentlemen. I don't bet against them
until someone shows me you can beat them on a
consistent basis.

Speaker 3 (38:21):
The Patriots didn't win every year, but you knew every
year they were at least getting to the AFC Championship.
Gametot is home Absolutely Yeah. No, Tom Brady not yeah, because.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
He's got to get to ten, he's got to win seven.
Tom's got seven rings. He went to ten super Bowls.
But in this present time. Steve Hartman sat next to
me yesterday and I filled in on his show yesterday.
He goes, VJ, there's only one team that's got a
franchise quarterback. And I haven't heard anybody say that, but
it did. It stuck with me like I took that home.
I was sitting on the sofa drink and Hennessy Ian

(38:54):
barbecue last night and it hit.

Speaker 3 (38:55):
I was like, wow, he said, but it makes sense though,
right there, Josh Buff is he Jalen Hurts Philadelphia?

Speaker 7 (39:02):
Is he?

Speaker 3 (39:03):
He's not? Is he? There? You go and there, I think, well,
I think he's a franchise quarterback for them.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
But the point is you pause for a second and
you say, I think so. If you go, is Pat
Mahomes the franchise quarterback?

Speaker 3 (39:17):
Yes, slip Jacksonville gave Trevor Lawrence all that, but he
was said, he's our franchise quarterback.

Speaker 4 (39:21):
Or they're just depending on the potential being there and
you gotta pay your guy now, or you look like
Jerry Jones and you wait to pay him and you
end up paying them more than you should, and then
you still gotta pay him again. It was smart for
Jacksonville to do that job. If you believe you have
your guy, right, it's like dating. If you believe she's
the girl, bro, go get the ring. If you believe

(39:43):
she's the woman that can mother your children and be
your support system, go get the ring.

Speaker 3 (39:50):
I guess Miami and Dallas are not getting the ring,
then right, hey, you gotta pay the Miami. I did
a show a few weeks ago when Martin where I
said that the Dolphins are playing a very dangerous game
of chicken. I can't go and say they want to
date other people that when she dated somebody.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
Else, to know you had you got your you got
her she man, you got a shorty right there?

Speaker 3 (40:08):
She home, She not out.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
She go to brunch every now and then Bolus Momosa's
with her girlfriends, but she's she doesn't go to she
gonna go to Taco Tuesday happy Hour. She's not strolling
in at ten o'clock at night talking about She don't
owe you any explanation.

Speaker 3 (40:19):
I'm an adult. I can know she's there, man, And
when you got something to do, she's there to back
you go get the ring bro there's not allowed them
out there. The dolphin.

Speaker 4 (40:27):
You think, okay, you don't pay too what he leaves?
Now what no one can get me in there to Arnie? Now,
why oh you don't pay two? Okay, don't pay him? Fine,
and then he goes out and leaves the league in passing. Again,
if we go win another eleven or twelve games, you're
gonna say, well, he didn't win a playoff game.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
No, neither.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
Here's Jathon Herbert and he's got to day five million.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
They think you like, he's a brock party where it's
a system so they could place any top ten, top
fifty quarterback in there and be able to get.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
The same He's the only guy that's not allowed to
have weapons. That is that. That's why this, that's why
too topic. And I hated that he's a dolphin because
always goes, oh, you're just being no, why is he
he's the only one not allowed to have weapons. Tell
me a quarterback that ever did it by himself. I
give people a year go search through the history of
football on any level. Is show me a quarterback that

(41:14):
did it by himself. Mike Vick got to a national
Championship game. Correct, But once he got there, it was
it was it was clear you need a few more
Jimmy than Joe's because you're playing Bobby Bowden in Florida
State and Chris Winky and Peter Warick. You're playing those guys. Yeah,
you're dope, but you're not gonna get the dub.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
Time for over Under, some DJ take it away, my friend.
Let's get over unders all right, man? I like to
have fun.

Speaker 4 (41:47):
I always thinkings we got these sports topics out there
and we make a big deal about him, and then
some of them kind of get pushed away by the wayside.
So moncey Ryan also already, and I'll chime in too,
and you fans, you know, jumping on Twitter man as
Sticky Gena's a Fox Sports Radio ad, Big Vanilla Funny.
First one Overrated or Underrated story. Dak Prescott showed up

(42:09):
somewhere in a walking boot and said, well, it's just
you know, for I'm getting older now and I just
have to you know, keep my body. And that first
thing I thought was I'm getting older now too, But
I don't just decide to put on a walking boot
normally that it's kind of associated with something just might
not be right, Manzi.

Speaker 3 (42:26):
I actually think it was overrated. I really do.

Speaker 8 (42:30):
I I hear what you're saying, but literally, Novak Djokovic
a month ago had knee surgery to repair a torn
meniscus and was playing in the Wimbledon final. Dak and
Scott was on vacation, and I think it was more like, yeah,
let's be you know, let's take care of your foot.
Something happened. But I think it was an overrated story.

Speaker 3 (42:50):
Right Ryan, Where are you at with this one? Man? Mantzi?

Speaker 4 (42:53):
To you your point on vacation, that's where I'm skept. Okay, bro,
what you're a This isn't.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
Margly, it's still it's it's it's jily.

Speaker 4 (43:00):
He's got time, he's on vacation.

Speaker 8 (43:01):
If it was that serious, he shouldn't have been on vacations.

Speaker 3 (43:04):
Right.

Speaker 7 (43:04):
It feels like an overrated story because I think people
were hungry to talk cowboys in some sort of manner
and that's why it popped up. But I actually will
say underrated because I think it's odd that he's just
going on a fishing trip. You need a gigantic walking
boot for your foot on a fishing trip.

Speaker 4 (43:22):
Yeah, he's old exactly.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
That's a that should be.

Speaker 4 (43:25):
He also has a deal coming up too.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
Yeah, yeah, so I will. I will take the underrated big.

Speaker 4 (43:31):
Orange baby out in Vermont with all that great mental
syrup talk to me, as.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
Trump would say, I don't think you just know what
you said. I don't think I don't think you realized
what you said, for cry out loud. You got you
gotta be all confused. It's another rated it's another rated
story because he's walking around with a boot. If I
came in the work in a full body cast, you go,
oh my god, what's wrong with you? Oh? Nothing? Just
felt like, yeah, you know, I just felt like putting
on the full body cast today just in case I

(43:55):
want to get a little bit healthier. Yeah, it's a
big deal. You don't know what body cast and boo
to put your arm in a sling and stuff like
that when there's nothing wrong with you. So it's underrated,
no doubt about that.

Speaker 4 (44:06):
Yeah, I had it underrated too. I think there's something
going on. He's going into a contract year, there's money
on the table.

Speaker 3 (44:11):
It's a slip. We see freaky things.

Speaker 4 (44:13):
Remember Shack cut his hand at home and showed him
to the arena with his hand on bas like what happened?

Speaker 3 (44:17):
Oh, I was playing with my kids, especially you know
tom Bro cut.

Speaker 4 (44:21):
My hands like dude, what like it's he couldn't just nope,
just felt like wrapping my hand. We know we're not
gonna go there. All right, cool, let's move on man.
Davante Adams on Netflix Receiver has been quoted as saying,
I gotta get the bleep out of here.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
I'm gonna get killed.

Speaker 4 (44:33):
He was on record of saying he did sign off
on Jimmy Garoppolo getting benched. And then there was the
scene where they show him and Aaron Rodgers all lovey.

Speaker 3 (44:42):
Dovey, and he looked him in the face and said,
I miss you and I love you. Brother.

Speaker 4 (44:46):
That does not seem like I'm happy here. I might
want to get out there. Then we see Damian Woodie
get on the ESPN and start to talk this possibility
of the Raiders moving him to the Jets. I'm on
record as saying that he will be you trade it
by the trade deadline, because I think they're gonna start
one in four, maybe two and five something like that.
He's not gonna play nice. They're gonna ship him off.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
Monse.

Speaker 4 (45:08):
Is this an underrated or an overrated story?

Speaker 8 (45:13):
It's probably underrated just because when it's anything with Aaron Rodgers,
the focuses him and the Jets. But in Receiver, he
does also say that he liked Aidan O'Connell, so I
don't know if he wants if he is gonna leave.
I actually am very curious as to what happens. But
that's why I think it's underrated, because people aren't talking

(45:33):
about it, and this could this could be a big.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
Kind of just got brushed away because.

Speaker 8 (45:38):
Yeah, exactly, So that's why I think it's underrated, and
I'm really curious to see what happens before the trade deadline.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
Producer Big Ryan talks to me better.

Speaker 7 (45:45):
I agree with you, guys, I think it's underrated because
I think this is going to blossom into a pretty
major storyline as we get into the season. If DeVante's
still there and you've got a team that could actually
be doing well, very clearly trying to make a pitch
to it a guy who was on another team. Uh,
he's obviously a star like this is this is something.
I think it's gonna really bubble up and become a

(46:08):
pretty prominent storyline coming to the season.

Speaker 4 (46:10):
The man driving a card and I, yeah, it's underrated.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
And by the way, if if, if I'm the Raiders,
I bring Devonte Adams into the office, I go, hey, Davante,
you know Tom Brady, don't show Tom this is Davante. Uh, Davonte,
this is this is Tom. Tom's part owner of the
team now. And I would tell Tom. Tom would say
to him, Man, you're a big baby. I gotta tell you,
I haven't seen anybody cry like you in a long time.
That's why we're shipping you out. Now. Are we gonna

(46:34):
ship you out because you're a big baby and you're crying.
We're shipping out because you probably don't know this. Your
career is done anyway. You're not a top you're not
a big time top five receiver. So we're gonna ship
you out. You're gonna be somebody else's problem, and we're
gonna recoup some some some draft picks. Good luck to
you though. In the In New York. I wish you
the best of luck. Send us a postcard when you

(46:54):
get there.

Speaker 4 (46:54):
I'm want you, guys that think it is a very
underrated story, I think is gonna grow. And to top
it off, the cherry on the top and witness just
beast so much like the bum ass Jets to just
make this move because Dan Rodgers they will win exactly,
this would just be so them. They're trying so desperately
to bring in all these pieces. I don't like a
lot of pieces they added this year to thirty one
year old plus tackles, one that's been injured. Okay, if
that's what you want to go with, this is a

(47:15):
good one.

Speaker 3 (47:15):
I love. The Buffalo Bills lost their two top receivers
Big Game, Big Game, Gabe.

Speaker 4 (47:21):
Davis as Tony Romelicz to call him. Also Diggs got traded.
Ever since they.

Speaker 3 (47:25):
Got to that NFC Championship game and they lost where
they didn't get the ball back, it's been going backwards
as far as how far they go. Guys leaving, they
lose the defensive coordinator, they lose the offensive cordator, table
takes the Giants job. Leslie Sheppard says, you know what
I'm gonna go relax and just take a year off,
and it just looks like it's going the other way here.
Is this a big underrated story or overrated story, because

(47:46):
I don't hear anybody talking about Josh Allen losing these
type of weapons. Let's spend it around a Arnie first
on this one. It's underrated. They have no wide receivers.
I mean, they're really they're gonna be short handed. Who
are they gonna even throw the ball to? Like Valdez
Scanning is like their second third best receiver on the
team out there's I'm not kidding around. They've got some
serious problems. By the way, it's already over. Dolphins already

(48:07):
have quenched that division, So forget about the Bills. It's
just not gonna happen this year. Producer Ryan, it's awesome, man,
I will go overrated.

Speaker 7 (48:14):
Stefan Diggs fell off hard at the in the second
half of last season. You really struggled and gave Davis
can disappear at any given time. Keon Coleman is a
great young receiver that they brought in. Curtis Samuel's an
incredibly underrated receiver. So I actually think that the bills
offense is gonna be just fine, So I will say
over I.

Speaker 4 (48:30):
Actually like that opinion.

Speaker 8 (48:31):
Brother good one manse exactly what Ryan said. Yeah, I
think it's overrated. And this it's just because Stefan Diggs
was non existent by the end of it, so it's
what is there to talk about. He wasn't there, you
know what I mean. But I find it interesting though
that it's not being talked about because it is like
a make or break for Josh Allen, So it's you know,

(48:54):
like aside from Louis, this is yeah, So that's why
I that's what's interesting about the story. But I do
think it's overrated.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
Losing them VJ Didjeb Moore over on their mind?

Speaker 4 (49:03):
I just got one more because Monty talked about The Bachelor,
So let me get this one the real quick. Cam
Newton didn't get invited to Christian McCaffrey's wedding. Not only
did he talk about it, I felt like.

Speaker 3 (49:13):
It was really kind of in his feelings.

Speaker 4 (49:15):
My mom always told me two things about a man
in life. Never go where you're not invited, and never
stay where you're not welcomed.

Speaker 8 (49:23):
Monce overrated, overrated, You only invite people to the wedding
that you have a relationship in friendship with.

Speaker 4 (49:29):
You haven't talked to him in how many years? Overrated?

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Get over yourself, Oh riot, overrated.

Speaker 7 (49:33):
I'm planning a wedding. It is not easy to come
up with the roster of people that are coming. I'm
sure that you get McCaffrey and the colpos combined, they
probably know a good like eight thousand people.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
At least you're playing a wedding right now. Yeah, okay.

Speaker 4 (49:47):
If I'm not on the list, that's your ass. I'll
tell you that already talked.

Speaker 3 (49:51):
Is this You're overrated? First of all, don't ever pay
for a wedding. It's the biggest waste of money. I'd
rather have the money instead of making sure my friends
get a free bar in some free or nerves. And
by the way, two words for you, wedding crashers.
