to the show every night.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Thing.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Well, sometimes how come you say what a glorious night
it is? And sometimes you say, welcome inside, happy night.
Go Well, look at what the score of the Mets
game is. If the Mets have won or winning, it
is a glorious night. If the Mets are losing. It's
happy night, welcome inside.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Yeah, glorious night includes either you had a sandwich or
a sandwiches on the way. I just did have a
sandwich that medic seichand was it a good sandwich?

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:16):
You know why because I was like, what am I
gonna do when I get to work, I'll figure it out.
And I get in and I and I see that
it's instead of three three nothing, it's seven nothing, and
I'll go it's sandwich time, sand Met's. The Mets have
driven me to sandwich because Bo's in for for justin Frostburg.
And you know, we were debating whether you were coming
in or not. I'm like, my understanding is that you were.
And then we just found out it was a sandwich delay.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Yeah, no the METSI means to get yourself back into
your proper fields. No, and that's the fust tonight, Like
I'm not you know, Oh, they drive me to drink it?

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:44):
No, they know my team drive me to sandwiches. Okay,
a little black stretch, Well, but that that could be
the phrase. Though my team drives me to sandwiches. That's
what it is.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Well, what's fine is I really want let's get that
deal link come on?

Speaker 1 (01:55):
They were down by three yeah, and I'm like, really,
how do we come out this flatway?

Speaker 4 (01:59):
You keep wed a slam?

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Come on, we can't put these teams stink and we
can't beat the teams at stink. And when you can't
beat the teams that stink, you're not gonna make the playoffs.
I'm like, okay, I'm remembering in my head, the Mets
got to get me to the Jets, right, Mets, the Jets, Mets,
the Jets right, and they've done that at least, and
I'm like, okay, I'm I.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Allrd, what am I gonna do? When I get in?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I maybe we'll figure out food And then I see
then I see oh seven nothing because I'm in the
car and I go for I'm.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Going for a sandwich. I'm going to have a sandwich. Conversely,
my team is reverting to stinking again, even though the
Yankees were supposed to be relegated.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, Soto's got three home runs, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Do you drill him the next time? It's one more
shot at it? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I think I think if you're the White Socks, you
kind of go for history. Yeah, it to him.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Here's the ephis Yeah, see how hard you can hit it?
You just throw it up and go here you go,
here you go catch it, there you go. See what
he does. Yeah, that'd be kind of fun. I think
just you know, I always just guy to hit him
have a four home run game.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
It was Soto. I look at this pitch. I gave
him the fourth my face, you know, I always think
about this when I think I let the guy hit
a home run. Do you remember the show we were
growing up, Siegmund in the Sea Monsters?

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Okay, so it was this crazy as show, right, one
of those Seals and Croft shows, like from the early seventies,
which is kind of like Pixar, Right, Seals and Croft
was Pixar in the late seventies. So Sigmund was a
Sea Monster, was.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Sid Marty Kroft? Seals and Cross was the.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Bar Seid Marty Croft? Yes, yes, yes, Heals? What was
Seals and Cross? Big song was the big Wow Seals
and Cross? Right, brain's malfunction. We may never pass this way?

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Yeah, then in the room and then come on people
now and then they'd tell you the hits of the seventies. Yeah, yeah,
which was not their song, but that was just the
It is from Seals and Cross for ninety nine cents.
You can get this sent to you now and Al
Stewart it's the Year of the Cat.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
So there was an episode of Segment in the Sea
Monsters where and it was segment's a sea monster and
of course he's friends with a bunch of teenagers and
they like solve mysteries, and it was kind of like
a rip off of Scooby Doo with instead of a dog,
they went for a sea monster.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Okay, so there was and assumed you makeing some hallucinogenetics
before he sat, whereas with Scooby Doo it was just weed.
Yeah right right, yeah, this is a Semons dude. Man.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
So there was an episode where there was some kind
of mystery at Dodger Stadium and Don Sutton was the
guest star three hundred game winner Don Sutton, and the
whole episode, one of the one of the kids was
trying to get Don Sutton's autograph, but he couldn't because
something would happen, Hey don can I get and then
the bad guy would come in with a gun or
something like that.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
It was is I think the involving the Dodgers and
he could never get his autograph, and you know the
end of that, they solve the mystery whatever it was,
and Don Sutton gives them tickets to go see a
Dodger game and including the sea monster.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Right and the sea monster he's sitting and everything. Yeah,
it was a precursor to take your dog to the ball.
Look it's a sea monster.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Next.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
That's awesome looking at the see precursor to bark at
the park. Hey, mak at the park.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
So they go to the game and they're sitting in
the left field bleachers and they're really excited court you know,
this is the final scene in the show. And they
sit and they going, oh man, what a great day.
The Dodgers are ate nothing, what's awesome? And he goes, yeah,
I just I wish I could have gotten.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
An autograph from Don Sutton.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
So they then the last sea Don Sutton is on
the mound with the ball and he looks to the
he looks to the bleachers and he sees the kids
and he waves them with.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Hey, Don Sutton waved to us. He goes, all right,
I think his name was Alex.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Here you go Alex, and he just winds up and
he just just throws up just a just a light
one over the plate, and this guy clocks it for
a home run, and of course it lands right in
front of them, and the guy the teenager catches bugs Hey,
I caught the ball. Oh my god, he autographed it, Hey, Alex,
thanks best to look Don Sutton. So Don Sutton autographed

(05:36):
the ball that they used in a baseball game.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
And he threw a pitch so easy for the guy
to hit a home run, knowing that'll hit it right.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Too, hands again and he would get it and then
see that, Hey, I got the autograph on.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
That's the greatest delivery system ever.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Anytime I think about, hey, just let him hit a
home run, I think about that scene. He looks like
he goes, hey, here you go, and he just like
he throws it like ten miles an hour. It's like
he's so like he's having a catch with somebody and
the guy HiT's.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
You want to have it catch?

Speaker 1 (06:00):
You know what I wanted now I think of I
wanted that Zach Campbell guy to be there and catch
that ball and go No, I'd said, but it's it's
in dressed to me.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
No, nope, you want to buy it from You could
buy it from me. But it says Marsher would kick
his ass though, yeah, oh yeah, yeah, Zach Campbell was
not a well left man.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
No, no, he's not, but that would have been fun. No,
He's gonna keep thinking about that when I see that.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
That's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Though.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
I don't know what you're watching that you've seen that
in recent memory. I haven't seen that, but I always
think about that, the fact that you remember that scene
so vivid, because this is back like in the in
the you know, in the late seventies, early eighties, when
when a when a star guest started a television show
was a big deal. I think about the Brady Bunch.
The guys are on the Braid Joe name it on
the braidy oh my god, Jones show. I mean, come on,

(06:40):
I just see you guys all the time. You know,
you mean their storry Davy Jones's locker, or you mean
Davy Jones when he was on the What Well? You know,
because I can give you a secret options Dawn in
bro The secret option, see was Davy Jones was David
Bowie's name before he changed his name to yes, yes, yes, yes,
so we could go all all the way three card
MONI deliver Coeronel Sanders down to Davy Jones locker. Okay,

(07:02):
so you know there's a lot to get to in
the NFL today. Coming up, we got a big story
about a quarterback. But we have a big one right now.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
JJ McCarthy could be out a few weeks. He could
be out for the season, diagnosed with a knee injury
coming off of great debut. Look, I give him credit.
I didn't know how he was going to play early turnover,
but came back with a couple.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Of big.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
I am not stuck up on JJ McCarthy, but he
has a big first game and now his status in
question after test revealed he has a tear in the
meniscus of his right knee. The final determination is going
to be made once he undergoes surgery this week. So
he could be out a few weeks, or he could
be out nine months. They won't know until they doctors
won't know until they actually get in there.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Now first, I'm thinking, doctors really don't have that technology
now until you start cutting, I mean, whatever, isn't it
just a couple of weeks? Sometimes I've seen. I've seen
lots of House. They have all kinds of magnetic residents
injing and stuff they put people in. But it's like
a truth machine. They would put people on the MRI machine,
and they would be able to tell if they're lying

(08:05):
or not because they would look at scans of their brain.
I think you can look in and see, hey, this
guy's gonna need a full repair, or no he's not
really Okay, gotta cut it. I really think House was
a disciple of Striker from the X Men movies, where
it's like, we're just gonna do some I think this
might work. Let's try it. All right, that didn't work.

(08:25):
All right, let me go think and walk around a
little bit more. They go on my motorcycle. I'm gonna
take some hallucinogens. Sure, and then we're gonna get back
at it.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
I'm gonna love cutting, I'm gonna not love cutting. I'm
gonna fire my team. I'm gonna not fire my team,
gonna hire them back. Say no, that's how it goes.
Uh but uh yeah, no, I feel like we should
know that by now. You don't really have to wait
to cut it. Really don't know, like this is such
a weird story. Now, like I get in the in
the eighties and nine, you're not gonna know well, of
course you're not gonna know that you get in doctors,
got it.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Now.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
It's like we can see everything. But it's like yesterday
we talked a little bit about Jimmy or Gibbs. Check
out the podcast. It's up wherever you get Troudio. Stillways,
we come to work here twenty four hours later. I
still don't know anything any further. No, could be could
be a you know, handstring injury that keeps him out
two weeks we saw some unconfirmed reports of the worst

(09:12):
that you can think of. JJ McCarthy, same thing. It's
a wide variance at this point.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
But as far as the McCarthy part, we're not going
to know until he undergoes. Okay, fine, but this is
my favorite part of the day. This is why I
love Twitter right time, have to look. Twitter's like the
wild West. Sometimes I love Twitter. Sometimes I can't stand it.
Oh no, I can't today that I love it because
only on social media can Sam Darnald go from okay,

(09:39):
he's a guy obviously keeping the seat warm for JJ McCarthy.
This is what this is I mean, this is what
whatever truth you believe. Sam Donald was brought in. He's
going to keep the seat warm. If McCarthy is healthy,
probably by mid season, he's going to play. He's a
first round pick. They invested a lot in him. Once
he gets used to the NFL game, he's gonna play. Now,
this injury puts everything out. Who knows what's gonna happen,

(10:01):
but the deal with him, Sam Donald knows he's a placeholder.
Sam Donald's a placeholder until McCarthy is ready. But then
news breaks that McCarthy is out, could be out a while.
And I see so many people, people with blue check marks,
Mike Carmen and experts are better than me, who now
are suddenly showing all of Sam Donald's best throws. And
there's a Sam Donald's now a top fifteen option in

(10:24):
fantasy football at quarterback. And I'm going, wait a minute,
Sam Donald was a guy keeping a seat warm, But
now the JJ McCarthy's out, Sam Donald's a top fifteen option.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
In what world does that make sense?

Speaker 1 (10:36):
First of all, if the Vikings thought if he would,
If Sam Donald's really a top fifteen option in football,
the Vikings aren't signing aren't drafting JJ McCarthy, right, if
he's that good. But he was brought in as a
seat filler. But suddenly he goes, hey, I don't know
how long he's gonna have the job. Now he's a
top fifteen fantasy option. Why wouldn't he be a top
fifteen fantasy option before? Because if he's really good in

(10:57):
the top half of the league, he'll keep the job, right,
I mean, if he's that good a quarterback, he'll keep
the job. But now that JJ McCarthy's not coming in,
now he's the top fifty, here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Come on, man. The former would have taken guts to say,
would have taken some guts to say, Hey, Sam Darnold
will hold off the job. He's good enough. He's got Jefferson,
he's got Addison, he's got Hockinson. He you know, he's
got all these guys that he's gonna be able to
throw to. You bring in Aaron Jones, the offense is set,
he's gonna be able to make some magic. That would

(11:26):
have been the gutsy way to go. The other would
have been to go logically, he's only got the job
for six weeks and sometimes.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Being logical is being Okay, no, but all of a sudden,
just because a guy now he's a top. This is
not a wide receiver where a number one guy gets
hurt and suddenly there's one hundred and thirty targets up
and everybody moves up. This is a guy who was
brought in to be replaced, and nothing is.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
That's what I mean, though, Like to set you Joe
and put him in the top fifteen, I may have
would have taken some guts to say it. He's gonna start.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
You think suddenly he's gonna be He wasn't gonna be
good before, but now because the guy behind him got hurt,
now he's great.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Well he's not gonna get displaced. So Jefferson and Addison
and hacketson and like you got all the weapons, right,
so go through their stats. If JJ McCarthy's not there
to come and take his job, all of a sudden,
all of those go to Sam. I'm not saying it's
good logic. I'm just explaining where they're getting this in.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Let me, let me, let me, let me, let me
just flip this and I'll tell you where I went this. Okay,
there's only one problem with Sam Darnald. Oh, okay, there's.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Only one problem. I think I know what it is.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Okay, and that's it. There's only one problem with Sam Donald. Really,
only one problem with this philosophy. He's going to be
a top There's only what that plunger wouldn't take us
off the air. I'd say I'd hit the plunger like
it's a game show. I know, like Antonio a Darison dealer.
No deal, no deal. No, you don't hit the button
when you do that. No, it's so exciting. I don't
know what I'm doing. There's only one problem with Sam Donald.
And then then can you just explain it to me?

(12:55):
Only one problem?

Speaker 4 (12:55):
Explain it to me like I'm a five.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
Case, so next year i'll be six. Yes, then your
parents will tell you there's only one problem with Sam Darnald. Yeah,
and that's it. And you want me to tell you
you got a pen, penn piece paper, Yeah, take it
down these nuts.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
I'm down looking at one problemse Sam Donald. He stinks
how many exclamation points for on capitol? Yes, okay, he stinks.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
I've watched him play. Yes, there is always the chance
of he could Gino Smith his way. Look, but I've
seen him play in numerous offense.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
How long does it take to get the stench of
the Jets seen him?

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Beget Well said clearly it's three teams in counting. Now, Okay,
Sam Darnald is not any good. The guy's been in
the league since twenty eighteen. I get to you think
you put great weapons around a guy, think suddenly he's
gonna be great. But come on, man, I've watched him
for his career. Not nowhere to go with the football now.
I don't know that he knows what he sees when
he looks downfield. He misses open guys, he doesn't hit

(13:50):
his progressions. Yes, he had a couple of nice passes
in the first preseason game. I've seen him throw some
nice pass I'm not saying the guy is an EPT.
I've seen him throw a couple of nice pats. But
he throws a couple of passes. And I saw one
post today. No one ever throws a dig route like
Sam Donald did on this play. I'm like, okay, so
one play when he throws a dig route really well,

(14:10):
that that covers up the last six years where he
was given the keys to the Jets, couldn't keep them,
was given the keys of the Panthers, couldn't keep them.
And now he's on another team where now he's lucky
that he's actually starting. He may have backed his way
into his starting job for a little bit longer. Sam
Donald stinks. Okay, I've seen it from him. Yes, sometimes
it happens and Gino Smith can find his way into

(14:30):
a magical year. But I've seen this. I've seen this
too much. There's a lot of tape on Sam Donald
just from the last couple of years. Gino Smith at
least went a decade between tape. What kind of quarterback
is he?

Speaker 4 (14:40):
I don't know. Guy hasn't played in ten years, all right,
Sam Donald stinks. And just the elevation because somebody gets
hurt is ridiculous, because if he wasn't good enough before,
he doesn't suddenly get good enough because the guy behind
him got hurt. I don't understand, you know, I mean,
this is Sam Sam, Sam, Sam Sam. It's gonna explain.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
I'm just saying when I'm when I'm seeing you like
this is physically looking to you. And look if maybe
if he wasn't an ex jet, it wouldn't be as
big of a thing to me, but I know that
does How is this flipping all of a sudden? JJ
McCarthy is great, he's the second company he might be
out of, while Sam Donald is one of the best
watch to watch. What happens is Sam now, because look

(15:21):
at this one throw he made. Notice nobody ever puts
up the Hey, here's the fifteen hurs. But again that
guy that the point is easy to throw the one
good throw, not the fifteen bad ones.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
But you can't do the content saying just flat out hey,
Sam Darnald stinks. This is a nothing burger. Everybody expected
you to put five hundred words to a thousand words
and all you needed to say was he stinks.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Now, everybody put up the big long, nice pass. Michael
Pennix junior head. No one put up the ten passes
he missed over guys head, No, he thinks they're eleven
feet off of course, like they're the skeleton from home
depot that you bought.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
For your You know, there's one on a one that's
been there a year round in my name, right, Hey,
if I was that tall, I think if you're driving down,
driving down George gearge my house, like all of a sudden,
like wait, that thing's been there, and they keep dressing
it up.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
He's got jerseys on and different outfits. It's not it's
just not happening.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Okay. Sam Donald's not suddenly great. Okay, he's not. He's
not just because let's see, they start at the Giants,
boy his old team, the forty nine ers, then Houston,
then Green Bay. Because that's the other problem. If Caleb
Williams is great and Jordan Love is great, and they
both are, and the Lions, even with no Gibbs, you
still say they're pretty good. Did you say with Joe Gibbs? No,

(16:35):
I said with no Gibbs. Oh, I think he said
with Joe Gibbs that would be pretty cool for Joe
Gibbs came back when George, Yeah, he comes driving up
in like his with his glass star. Hey hey Hey,
Hey Hey Dan, Hey Dan, and all of a sudden,
I'm being sideline now. Yeah, he takes over. If all
those teams a supposed to be good, that means the
Vikings will not be. It's math. So just just understand
that about Sam Donald.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Uh coming up next, there is one quarterback that is
not being talked about enough, and we're gonna get to
it because today heedge coach talked about wanting to vomit.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
That's straight ahead right here. That's what we call it. Teas, Marie.
Now you're gonna go back into another quarterback you hate
because of a past association with the Jets. Jason and Mike,

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with my best
friend Mike Harmon. Got John Paul Morosi coming up in
a second. But let me just say this, right as
upset as I was after the Mets loss of the
A's tonight, Right, yeah, you're pretty solid. Yeah, they can't
bet anybody who stinks, Right, we can't. We can't beat
the Angels. The A's come in. Austin Adams gets the

(18:33):
final out of the game against the Mets tonight. And
after he gets the last out, after he strikes out
Francisco Alvarez, or this is the fifth inning, sorry, in
the fifth inning, not in the ninth inning. In the
fifth inning, the Mets had cut it to seven to four,
and they had first and second with nobody out, and
Adams knuckles down and he gets out of the inning
without giving up any more runs. He strikes out Alvarez

(18:54):
to end the inning, and he finishes, and he turns
and he blows kisses, and he makes fun of the
OMG celebration that the Mets do the song Isaiah Gleasias,
and he turns on you can read his lips going,
get the blank out of here, you blank in piece
of blank and He's screaming that all the way back
to the dugout. Now this is starting to go viral,
and I just want to say that if the Mets

(19:14):
don't win the next two games by twenty runs, that
then they need to they need a clubhouse meeting to say, hey,
what what the hell are we doing?

Speaker 4 (19:22):
So as he's a note already gone in about bean balls,
and the A's.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Have come into to City Field and you got the
guy yelling get the blank out of here, you piece
of blank. And he's yelling shut the blank, and he's
going crazy. This is in the fifth inning, coming off
the field. I'm gonna make fun of the back. I'm
sick of the celebration. The omg Isaiah Glatz is Candelita.
The Mets gotta win these next two games by twenty runs.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
You got trolled by the a'sun This is you know,
Jonah Hill and Brad Pitton moneyball. No, no, no, this
is where something's got to happen. Now he's got money's
not on the field here.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
If only we knew someone that could get this message
to that's President of Baseball Operations David sterns Oh wait
a minute, joining us now in.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
The hot lot.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
We got a guy, former roommate of David Sterns and
co host of Sternsey and the Pope, the Baseball Morning
show sweeping the nation. MLB Network insider extraordinary, John Paul
Morosi is on Twitter at John Morosi. John Paul, there's
my I haven't called you up for this in a while,
but there's my next message for Sternsey. The next two games,

(20:26):
they got to win them by twenty runs.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
I will do my very best to make sure that
that happens. All right, I'm gonna send out the message
to the Metropolitans that Jason Smith is expecting a resounding
reply after this great moment of disrespect.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
That would be a true See. This is why cheet
John Paul. This is why you get the big money.
Because I would not have worded it that way. There
would have been much more profanity. You're wording it in
a great way, So that's good.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
I appreciate that. You the best I can. Guys, bring
a little bit of lemony in the circumstance and listen.
This is this is Pennant Race baseball. I can't remember
where I was actually last week I was doing a
game with with Yander Alonso, and he said this. He said, basically,

(21:18):
August is the time of year. Yonder told me that
that you really tend to get especially agitated, even at
your own teammates, but especially at the other team. And
so this is the time of year where basically you
like nobody because you're you're you've been in it for
so long, you're still a good distance from the playoffs,

(21:41):
and you're just it's hot, you don't feel good, you're
a little bit tired, a little bit cranky, and like
Yonder told me, you like nobody. And so this, this
does not surprise me. That that is that that is
what happened in the Metropolitan game this evening.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
In other words, a Tuesday, you like nobody. You may
smith crack up here in jp skally picturing.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
I'm saying, yes, this happens in your house sometimes when
you're when you spend a lot of time in close quarters,
and I'm just picturing, like John Paul, I'm picturing you
getting ready for your hit on MLB network and your
wife walking by and going again with the trade deadline?

Speaker 4 (22:15):
Is there anything again with the trade deadline? Is there
anything else you could talk about? Anything else? And she
walks by you and walks away.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Right, No, You're exactly right. It was it was funny.
I'll tell you this. I brought I brought my wife
and our girls to a minor league game on Sunday,
and and I'm bringing them around the ballpark. The broadcast
of their friend of mine was give us kind of
like behind the scenes tour, very gracious, and I'm looking
around at my kids and they're just kind. They're like,

(22:45):
they're looking at the screens. I think it's kind of interesting.
They think that the stacks are interesting, but I'm like, girls,
it's the baseball that's interesting. The game. This is, This
is what dad a lot as I was two and
I'm an old man, and now that's a lot of
years of love. I love all of you more than baseball,

(23:05):
but I've loved baseball for longer. Okay, So like, let's
be real about this. And so I'm trying to explain
this to them, and it was amazing to see. My goodness,
they have a lot of creativity and spark and the
things that they love in life. Baseball, though, is not
really one of them. Yet. I'm still I'm.

Speaker 6 (23:24):
Still not living up hope.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
But as I'm watching it, taking this to her like
like I am still after all these years fascinated at
the back of the house of a minor league ball park.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
To me, it's so cool.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
And and they're all like, hey, dad, there.

Speaker 6 (23:38):
Are snacks here, Like, yeah, there's baseball here, everybody.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
That's why we're here.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
It's the baseball. It's not the food. It's the baseball.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
No, JP, look got My younger daughter plays soccer, so
sports is at least in the picture. But until they
had as teenagers, friends get excited and their parents get
excited about what I do for worked and and what
Jason and I get to do here talking to you
and and others each night. They didn't really care as

(24:07):
long as the food was on the table and they
were driven to wherever they needed to be. So right,
I feel your pain.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
Yeah, And and I will say that my middle daughter,
my nine year old, does, does this spot on impersonation
of how I speak to people, and and it's amaze me.
Oh hi, hi, I'm John ROSSI. Uh, what's your name?

Speaker 6 (24:29):
Where are you from?

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Who's your favorite team? Oh? You're from that town.

Speaker 6 (24:34):
I love that place, the great Italian place in that town.
And I'm like Elena, how do you know all the
local ticks that I have.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
About how I talk to you? Like, well, it's a
great town, great place, love the Italian place there, great
people say that Joey over there at the at DG
Or'donald's restaurant.

Speaker 6 (24:52):
You know whatever it is, he's uh so funny.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
You know, you got it absolutely to the to the
absolute syllable of how I talk.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
People now knowing you and us being friends for a decade.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
But the time you're gonna have to worry about it
is when you ask her a question at the dinner
table and she said, you know, it's a great question, Dad, let's.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Excellent question.

Speaker 4 (25:14):
That's a great question.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Tremendous Dad, tremendous observation on your part, tremendous thought. That's
a very thoughtful question, Dad. I too share some concerns
about the bets bullpen.

Speaker 6 (25:28):
Uh, but we'll get to that later.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Dad, Could you please, can you please pass the asparagus?

Speaker 4 (25:34):
So let's go to the other side. Let's go to
the Yankees playing My beloved White Sox drummed yesterday, come
back with a four to one win tonight. Three home
runs Juan Soto first time in his career. Uh, every
time it looks like they're sliding, you still go back
to the standings and they're atop the al east. What's
what's the ceiling here? What are we what are we

(25:55):
looking at?

Speaker 3 (25:56):
Well, for me, it has to do with with the resilience.
They've still got, to your point, two of the best
five hitters in baseball, and when you have that, it's
amazingly resilient in terms of your ability to find ways
to win ballgame. And they're starting. Pitching has been good enough,
and it hasn't been great, but it's been good enough.
The bullpen's been solid enough, and when you've got superstars

(26:18):
at this level, I think that sets you apart. Now
Jazz Chism being on the il is concerning we'll see
what that means now in terms of his of his injury,
because he really, I think has been one of the
separators for them in the last couple of weeks as well.
But I found this part interesting as we're talking about,
you know, getting ready to Actually I'm in Milwaukee right now.
We've got the game tomorrow night at Dodgers Brewers on

(26:40):
that o'be network, and I was I was tabulating and
looking around at a different teams and how how much
youth they have. The Brewers have four four players who
already have three hundred played appearances who are twenty five
and younger. They're the only contending team with four regulars
who are twenty five and younger. And I looked and said, Okay,

(27:01):
I wonder so, first of all, how many players of
this type of the metsaf The answer, Savvy Jason is zero.
They have nobody who is five or younger and a
regular player. The Yankees have one guy who's in his
age twenty five season or younger with three hundred play appearances.
You know who that is, Juan Soto. One. Soto's twenty

(27:21):
five years old. He's in his age twenty five seasons.
And that, to me is just it's amazing to say that,
because it feels like he's a ten year veteran. The
dude is in his age twenty five season. He's in
an age where most mortals in this game are still
just figuring it out. Whether it's the Joey Ortiz like

(27:42):
I was looking up with the Brewers, he's still a
young player. And that's why we go back and forth
about what is contract's gonna have to be and will
they have to go above Aaron Judges to sign them. Yes,
they will, they they will, they have to. I don't
think Aaron Judge is gonna worry about how many zeros

(28:05):
are on Juan Soto's check compared to his. He wants
to win and Juan Soto is a special player who
helps you win. And if the Yankees don't give him
a contract for more than what Aaron Judge got, somebody
else will.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
All right, John Paul, you talked about you got the
Dodgers and the Brewers coming up tomorrow night and MLB Network,
you're gonna be doing that game. Another big blow for
them today, River Ryan out for the season, is gonna
have Tommy John surgery, probably out next year as well.
The Dodgers hoping Walker Buehler, who's going to start tomorrow night,
is going to be back and being close to the
Walker Buehler from a few years ago. At this point now,

(28:42):
the Dodgers every day seem to be losing somebody and
getting somebody back. Are they just going through a rough
patch they have to navigate or is this real concern
for the deep October run you expect them to make well?

Speaker 3 (28:54):
I mean that is by the way, a great question,
nicely that is that is the essential question with this
team tonight they were very fortunate Stone started pitch well,
and that started pitching. That came in and pitched the
final four inning, saved the bullpen. That was really important.
I think Dave Roberts and Mark Bryor, who of course

(29:16):
is the Dodgers pitching coast, they're gonna have to be
more creative than ever. They've had a ton of injuries.
That is clear that their their plan A, Plan D,
Plan C basically all gone away. Yamamoto is still in
the IL. They hope that builder Bounce is back in
a big way tomorrow. Bobby Miller is not on the

(29:36):
roster right now. Ryan is out for the year. James
Paxson was traded now he's heard too. So they've had
just this incredibly bad run of pitching luck or or
pitching design, if you want to call it that, and
say that they just have done a poor job of
collecting durable pitchers, which is a fair criticism in my

(29:57):
in my opinion, but but this is who they are, guy,
this is who they are. The deadline has passed. There's
nobody sitting there at triple a who's ready to save
the season, like a Clayton Kershaw from two thousand and eight,
so to speak. There there's no one like that, and
they are who they are right now. I think that tomorrow,
and I'm not just saying it because it's our broadcast,

(30:19):
it's going to be a massive day in the Dodger
season because if Bueler can come back and look like himself,
then then they've got a shot at this. If he
is average or below and doesn't look like he's going
to be able to be a difference maker down the stretch,
then basically they're just in there in the soup of

(30:41):
all these teams that have a chance, and they're not
really special. In my estimation, their lineup is special. Otani
was great again tonight, Mookie's back. They're two for two
with Bookie back in the lineup. But I look at
the pitching and say, if Bueler is good and if
kurse Shot can keep building clarity obviously has been good

(31:02):
so far. I mean, there's there's enough to dream on there,
but the margin for error is basically zero, and there
are other teams that will feel just as good about
their pitching. And again, same thing that happened as the
last two years. The Dodgers likely get a buy They're
gonna have to play a team that just came off

(31:22):
winning a wild card series, like the Podres two years ago,
like the d Backs last year, and we know how
both those series turned out. And the only way for
them to fight back against that is to get their
pitching and as good as a place as it can
be in the next six weeks. And a huge step
for that is tomorrow with Boler on the Mountain.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
He's on Twitter at John Morosi.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
That is at John ROSSI don't forget to listen to
Starns you in the Pope Morning Show Across the World
the best there is America and Major League Baseball by storm.
He asked very good questions, he answers very good questions.
He is our man, and he's on Twitter at John
John Paul is always buddy, appreciate, enjoy the game tomorrow,
we'll talk to you then.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
My pleasure to my friends, and hey, guess what we're
coming up on a little bit of football talk to
sprinkle in.

Speaker 6 (32:09):
There, a little Detroit Lions talk, little Michigan football talk.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
So what a great time he is.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
Hey, Well, now that Harbaugh's pulled out of being the
honorary captain. Michigan's opener, you could be the honorary captain.

Speaker 6 (32:21):
Yeah, I mean, guys, uh, we need to do a
whole Harbor segment next time. The bottom line is, it's
like it's like, Jim, you created enough headlines.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Okay, You're just you're your coast is down the West coast,
my friend, just handle what's in front of you out there.
Michigan's got plenty of headlines to deal with on their own, right,
Just as they say, coach, coaching ball team, you're all good.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
Make it easy, sebody, enjoy the game. We'll talk to
the guys. Thank you, JP, have a good call. Thank
great stuff. Think of that, how massive a day it is,
because now at this point it's okay, nobody is coming
for us.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Now.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
The only guy we have left is Walker Buehller. We're
hoping that Kershaw continues to.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
Build the little great yesterday, right, but you know you're hoping,
but you're still at like low eighties yea in terms
of a pitch count, and then that's still kind of
pushing it.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
You know, you're hoping Flaherty continue. Okay, but like Bueller's
your guy. It's like, okay, now if you're going into
the playoffs and suddenly okay, these are our three and
Bueller becomes the playoff guy that he all right, but
think about if.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
Not, you're really stuck. I told you that's why I'm
a concern for the Dodgers.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
That A ten because this is a world series or
bus season and there's nobody else riding to the rescue.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
This is it now. We didn't get get into it there,
We didn't have time with JP and this will be
just the brief throwing it out into the universe. Is
this an extension of what Dusty Baker used to do
to arms in Chicago? Because look at all these guys
one after another in La like it's a launda. And
now James Packs is hurt. Does he get tagged as

(33:56):
one of those guys retroacting only made three appearances who
they let go to bring up River Ryan and now
they both are hurt? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (34:02):
No, So you're saying, Dave Roberts' is Dusty Baker with
U without the sweat bands and the toothpick.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
A lot going on, and I know they just had
Dusty Beck and they had a Bobblehead Night and whatever.
But like the laundry list of injuries to pitchers is
really frightening at this point.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith

another day, another big day of news and holdouts. First,

(34:55):
Aaron Rodgers of the Jets says, Oh, you need me
to call Hassan Reddick to Hey, I could do that. Guys,
you should have asked me for fuck I could.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Do that at all.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
All you have to do is ask I could do that.
I can't. I'm not just gonna do that. As a
leader of the team and franchise where everybody is pinned
the hopes and dreams and an entire city, how often
do you think?

Speaker 1 (35:18):
How often do you really think like Robert Sala and
Joe Douglass actually talk to Aaron Rodgers, Like don't you think, like, hey,
you know we have the OC and the court where
they are intermediaries through and and and Sala and yeah, Aaron.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
Just kind of does this thing. He just talks through.
Really when does like when do you think Sala actually
talks to Aaron Rodgers? Well, I think it's really They
just fed questions to Boomer Geo for that conversation and
it was like, uh, the subtext listen, you want to.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
Talk to Aaron Yeah, yeah, dude, I'm the head gum.
I want to commit now. I know, dude, you're my
offensive corner. Nathaniel Like, you're an awful offense you were
a bad head coach, You're a bad offensive coordinator. For
some reason, Aaron Rodgers likes you. Hey, hey, hey, hey,
do not look at me in the eyes. Do not
do not look at me in the eyes. You're talking
to me, and when you go in there, you damn
sure don't look Aaron Rodgers in the eyes.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Coach, you know what you need to do. It's a
suggestion box outside the door. It's also a place where
you can make requests you know it's Look, this is
the case of suddenly in in in reports of the
last few days, where the relationship between Rogers and Solid
you don't know where it's at because you get they're
not communicating. Robert Sala saying, oh, I'm holding Aaron Rodgers

(36:30):
out of the first couple of preseason. Oh, that's news
to me. He said he.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Wanted to play in the in the interersquad scream or
in the in the in the joint practice last week,
but the field was wet. Uh no, we're not doing it.
Oh I wanted to play. So you get the sense
already that the two barely talk.

Speaker 4 (36:46):
But the fact that you're saying Aaron Rodgers that he
wanted to play, that you no, I'm sure he did.
I'm sure wanted to play a little bit. Oh you know.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
No, Look, the guy wants to play. The guy doesn't
want to not play, And especially from the perspective of
I really want to get like I'm antsy to get
plays and physical because I've played four snaps last year
and I ran for my life on three of them.
I'm tired putting up that damn meme of me and them.
So yeah, no, so I want so I want to
play a little. So I'm sure that's that's part of it.

(37:12):
But to hear today, like after the Reddick drama of
a day ago, Rogers just swoop in and south, Oh
I could I could call him if you want?

Speaker 4 (37:21):
Like that was the question.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
Yeah, I think And when he was asked by Jets reporters,
do you think any winked and said, yeah, I think
that's a conversation I can have.

Speaker 4 (37:28):
Oh you need me, you came to Oh, yeah, I
can do that. I can be your king maker. I
can help you out of that. Like that's just how
much though?

Speaker 1 (37:37):
How much do you think they that Rogers doesn't live
on an island by himself with the players and the
coaches that he needs and Salah and Douglas a guy
just you're just on the outside looking on the outside.

Speaker 4 (37:49):
Now, we'll let you know when we need you. The
good news is it doesn't matter. I've told you Robert
sala is a bad head coach. But it doesn't matter
because this is another thing.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
They're asking Aaron Rodgers to cover cover bad moves, like
we trade for a player that we didn't know was
gonna hold out, and now we look stupid. Cover for
that cover, for the fact we have a head coach
that really is in over his head cover for all
of these things.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
This is what Aaron Rodgers has to do.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
And now, oh, the general manager and the head coach
can't get this guy in.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Ah. Hey, I'll make a phone call for it. I'll
help you out, buddy, No way, Yeah, I'll call his son, Reddiga.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
He said, Hey, Hassan Reddick. I hope he's here. I
want him do what's best for his family. But it's
gonna be a fun ride that you know what's fun.
I want him to be a part of it. I
can make a lot of.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
Runs in parallel with Charles Barkley now telling anybody who listened,
he's a savior of all these people's jobs and livelihoods forever.
Aaron Rodgers is now that guy for the Jets. I
can do all this. I can save everything. Ask me, man,
it does I know?

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Our head coach and general manager should be the ones
on top of this, and they shouldn't have made a
trade for a guidance not here that I can't even
when they do the update on the story every night,
you can't even show him in Jets gear because he's
never spent one day, so you still see him going
through practice the Eagles a year ago.

Speaker 4 (39:01):
No, there's some guys with their card art skills that
can photoshop those up real nice for in help you
out with.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
That, buddy, I can I just let me know I
would have caught ah. I can make that call. He
wants to be your savior.

Speaker 4 (39:13):
This is you know, and they're giving him every opportunity
to step in and and he knows it. But that's
the thing. He recognizes the position of power that he is,
not just the responsibility of it. If this collapses, everything
is torn asunder and they put all their eggs in
the in the basket. He was able to get all
his buddies jobs and nepotism, hey, whatever, have at it.

(39:36):
But all of that recognizing, okay, with with the franchise,
the city, everybody's looking at me as the savior. But
also this gives me a lot of sway to kind
of do what I want. And they're gonna need my
help if they want to get there, not just my performance,
but also my help to allay any of these fears

(39:58):
and build those bridges back where they may have singed them.
You know what the Jets are. Here's the Jets are.
The Jets are like the Crown. They're the Royal Family,
which everybody needs to be on the same page for
the Royal Family to continue to succeed, for the people
to continue to love them, for them to keep living

(40:18):
in Buckingham Palace and be viewed as the big rock
stars and continue on to have the monarchy right. The
Royal Family needs to be looked at as a whole,
so we all have to be kind of on the
same page. But then you get inside the Royal family
and you realize it's Oh, Charles needs to have somebody
get this message to someone who can get this message

(40:40):
to Diana about an appearance they have to make on Friday.
That's very important.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
And even though they're not really speaking, they need to
be there together to show a united front and all
the drama you know that's going on behind the scenes.
When they show up and wave out of a balcony.
Oh look there, Charles of Diana. They're together. They're like,
are you talking about this from a historical perspective? You
watching that show? No, I watched the show. I watch
the show. The first two seasons are some of the
best TV the last fifteen.

Speaker 4 (41:06):
Years, and I'm going to be real honest. The next
scale of zero to one hundred includes zero head of
where I had interest. No, I'm beyond this. I had
zero interest in the crowd zero. I mean, I had
absolutely zero interest in it, and I was just watched,
just watching why. And by the end of the first episode,
you're hooked. And the first two seasons are incredible television.

(41:26):
And then it's like Hunger Games. How many of the
Harry's Potter cast members show up to They all do?
They all did?

Speaker 1 (41:31):
They're all in there, and Dumbledore comes in at the
end and he waves a magic wand and the Queen
d ages from ninety nine back to twenty five. It's
really fantastic about that. But like it's like Hunger Games,
where each Hunger Games book and movie was worse than
the one before it. Like, the first two seasons were great,
the next two seasons we're good, not because good as
the first two, and the last two seasons you're just
waiting for.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
It to end.

Speaker 4 (41:50):
So the last two seasons are equivalent to trap.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
I mean, I mean McNulty is Prince Charles. I mean,
come on, it's like, dude, I can't get past that.
But that's what the Jets are. You know that, Hey,
we're functioning as one and we're all in this. We
all know we have to function as one. But behind
the scenes, it's, oh, get this message to the queen.
I need fifteen minutes. Well, the Queen's gonna call to
meet with the Prime minister. So the Prime Minister's got

(42:14):
to take time out of his day to come over
and meet with the queen so they can be on
the same page. Like I feel like that's the Jets,
Like it's, hey, whatever it is to make Rogers happy,
But this is the reality they bought. They bought Aaron
Rodgers coming in to save the team. So when you
do that, you gotta let him do his thing. Gotta
let him save the team. This is where you're at.

Speaker 4 (42:32):
Which is and clutch sports. I mean, it just spills
all over the place. I mean, this is how you
go from a day ago. It's how do you the
Jets are The Jets are ridiculous and they're embarrass like,
how do you let this assign Reddick?

Speaker 3 (42:44):
Then go?

Speaker 1 (42:45):
And then someone sent a scroll to Aaron Rodgers and
he unrolled it with parchment and said, I can make
a phone call to to mister Reddick, can try to
get him to report to camp so we can go
on a fun ride together this season, maybe win a championship.

Speaker 6 (42:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (42:57):
I think part of it was realize, Aaron, this goes south.
Your legacy sucks too. He knows, and that's the thing
he knows underneath. But it would be in your best interest,
not only for it would help us out a lot. No,
you're right, but for you it's kind of a big deal.
But look, but that's what.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
Makes me feel like, despite all of this craziness and
ridiculousness and whatever battles are being fought behind closed doors,
that the Jets are gonna have a big season because
Rogers knows, he knows his legacy is on the line,
and he is still full bar ahead. Everything is great,
We're gonna be great. He's not gonna put any part
of this season at risk. That's why missing two practices

(43:38):
to go to Egypt. If it was really a big deal,
he would have been there, So I know he feels
confident about where this season is going and what he's
going to do. So that's what makes me feel like,
despite all this craziness. Hey, history owes me one for
the last forty years, and we're gonna get a big
season this year because if Rogers doesn't look like he's
stressed by anything, I'm not gonna be. It's like, Rogers

(43:59):
is my companion animal.

Speaker 4 (44:00):
Oh right, like like I would like you know, a
few years ago, we went to the San Diego Zoo
because they had a cheetah.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
I'm like, oh, this is amazing. And they bring the
cheatah and the said, you're gonna le let the cheat.
You're gonna watch the cheetah uh chase after like an
electronic rabbit or so cool. I had to grow up
the thing and it's got and and you know, and
the cheat is coming out. You're gonna see how many
cheetahs just one cheetah? Yeah, one cheetah.

Speaker 4 (44:19):
And and if you line them up and put them in
a stall right now, you got a secondary income.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
And the rabbit was mechanical because they're not going to
show you that, Oh my goodness, what happened to that
poor rabbit? Nature people nature, So they bring the cheeta
out and they go and you're also gonna meet Gus.
Gus is a four year old Labrador Retriever who is
the cheetahs companion animal, which, as you see when they
do for animals in the wild, if a domesticated animal
that they're friends with isn't stressed, they're not stressed.

Speaker 4 (44:45):
Because here you have a cheetah coming.

Speaker 1 (44:47):
Out of wherever they got the cheetah from, and now
it's in captivity and there's people watching, all kinds of
people around.

Speaker 4 (44:52):
The cheeta is going what the hell? Man?

Speaker 1 (44:53):
I was by myself on the Serrangeti there was nobody
around it. Just meet a bunch of wildebeasts. I'd run
those things down in like four seconds. Man, it was fun.
Now look at this guy. Some guys wearing a white
Sox T shirt. They I even know a serengetti.

Speaker 4 (45:06):
They suck. And so the cheetah can get stressed. But
if Gus the labrador is hey, feeling fine, the cheetah
feels fall about that. So the cheetah makes a run.

Speaker 1 (45:15):
And watching a cheeta run like i'd see a cheat
run in front of me, that's pretty eazy. I feel
the same way like Aaron Rodgers is my companion animal,
Like hey, all this crazy ass stuff with the Jets.
If Rogers seems fine, okay, I'm fine, Okay, that's what
I mean.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
All this stuff put underneath. This doesn't mean paddling like
a duck. If he's missed, man, I'm gonna get worried.
If he's man, I'm gonna get what you think? If
I were to rent a van and say, hey, November tenth,
let's go to Glendale, Arizona to see Aaron Rodgers, how
would you feel? Why do you say rent a van
like we're gonna kidnap him out, We're gonna grab a
bunch of bag guys, We're gonna do a giant road Joe,

(45:50):
how would you say in a van? Why wouldn't you
just say let's go to Arizona? And No, I wanted
to make it a big thing. Hey, Aaron, will you
come and hang out with is? I got a question
for you in my van? What's that chloroform? What's chlora
What did you say? I didn't really what We're gonna
get him a point? At no point? No, you euated

(46:12):
that to do anything to Aaron Rodgers. You say it
was more just a hey, fellas, do you want to
go to Arizona to watch the game? You just say
road trip? Instead, you said, hey, how about we get
a van. Wink, wink, and we go to Arizona. I
never winked. You could play back that camera right now.
Why would you say Van. That's a trigger word right there,
Van is a trigger Why would you say that, let's

(46:32):
get a van? Because I guess the image in my
mind was old school and they knew him. Duck, that
guy front the grocery store, parkast master, master of puppets. Anyway,
November tenth, is he still quarterbacking? Yes he is. It's
Kyler Burry. Oh okay.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
I will give you the odds of both of them
quarterbacking that game less than fifteen percent, less than fifteen percent.

Speaker 4 (46:58):
See, I found these guys. I'm a game in November.
I do want to be scheduled. It just has a
giant flaming dumpster next year.

Speaker 1 (47:06):
Man, that that's stuff that could that game, that game
could be to Rod Taylor and Kurt Warner.

Speaker 4 (47:11):
I mean, that's ically done. He might still be able
to like fling it. Here's like fifteen percent chance that's
going on.

Speaker 1 (47:17):
But I mean, look with all the stuff going on,
because you can tell there are so many things with
the Jets and Rogers and how they get along and
how they talk about their business, and again no coincidence
that after yesterday's embarrassment with Reddick, here's Rogers to the rescue.

Speaker 4 (47:30):
Oh I could do this for you. Got no no again? Walls?
And you want to talk about a guy who is
dialed in on everything being said. He's like Batman when
he had all of that stuff on the wall, Like
I don't think this is right. Nah, we're gonna use.

Speaker 1 (47:47):
It's compat he's not stressed. I'm not stressed. When he's stressed,
that's a different story. Then I'll get a little man,
you know what to do. Aaron Rodgers has a helper animal.
He's you know, pray for Mojo the Monkey and the
Simpsons as your inspiration. And how about a Fresco exit

(48:08):
out about a Fresca exit swollen dome. That's me and
Mike here at Fox Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show.
Is my best friend, Mike Carmon gay.

Speaker 4 (48:14):
If he's not stressed, I'm not stress. Pray for Mojo. Now,
call has on Reddick and get him in as fast
as you can.

Speaker 3 (48:20):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (48:20):
Coming up next, we got John Paul Morosi stopping by
our certain teams in Major League Baseball falling out of
the race. Is shoey Otani gonna hit sixty home runs?
Are the Yankees ever gonna show us what they really are?
All that more Coming up next right here, Jason and
