(00:49):
in a second. Yeah, yeah, hot take. A few minutes ago,
we talked about the Damn Yankees High Enough video, one
of the one of the top five best music videos
of all time. I'm gonna go do carry out with
that later on. I mean, first of all, supergroup Jack Blades.
If I could have anybody's voice in the world, be
Jack Blade. Oh my god. But the music video and.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
If I could hit like anybody, it would have been
like Benny Blade, Sure Benny, but sure, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Okay, all right, very good, all right, very ice, okay good.
I like that. And if I could see any movie again,
I would see Blade. I kind of lose right there. Yeah,
although Tracy Lawd's is featured in the first fifteen minutes
of Blade. Yeah, it's man a minute since I've seen it.
She brings the guy to the vampire party and somehow
he survives. Like sorry spoiler for Blade, but like you know,
(01:36):
she brings him to the party. They're dancing, it's like
a rave kind of scene, and all of a sudden, oh,
vampires are here, and I think he survives, Like, Oh,
didn't you bring in here so the vampires could? Could
you get their blood? Like, isn't that why you brought
him here?
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Like?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Do you want to get her on the show to
talk about that? The hell? Hey, Tracy, yes, listen it.
You've had a really long career with a lot of
things on it, But I want to talk about Blade.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
I think it would be a nice departure from what
where those conversation you can get.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Wesley Snipes on he could talk about Blake he almost
hit me in a car once, Wesley snunt, did he really?
Were you trying to stalk him for an autograph? We
lived in We lived in Marina del Rey and he
lived there, but like we lived in an apartment, he lived
in one of the big she Shey houses. Right, because
this is Wesley stipes Hey, this is Rising Sun Major League,
all the night before and so we're out before I'm
(02:22):
going to Namibia and you're never gonna see me again.
And we were throwing a football outside our apartment one day.
My wife and I couple of friends were hanging out
and one of my friends says, go, I'll throw, So
I kind of go along and I'm running. I'm looking
for the ball and and I go and I put
out my hand to get it, and I see out
of the corner my car is coming like right at me.
(02:44):
And it's not a busy street. It's just one of
those streets where it's like, oh ok, you know, it's
kind of a sideesheet. But still he's coming. And I
stop and I'm going for the ball, and oh I
can get the ball and get the ball, and I'm like,
oh no, wait to stop. And I stopped and the
guy stops his car and I don't catch the ball,
and and I go and I hit the car. No, no, no,
the ball bounced. It was a Nerf ball anyway, so
it was it wasn't okay, so it and bounced away,
(03:04):
and I'm like, I would have got it if not
for oh, hi, Wesley Snipes. And he kind of stops.
He kind of gives me a wave like he almost
ran into my car. I'm like, hey, how you doing?
And I get him a wave. He gives me a wave.
I give him a wave again, and he gives me
another wave and he and he and he drives by me,
and I yelled at my wife. That's Wesley Snipes. That's
Wesley Snipes.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
So who ran faster, you and your real speed or him?
In this slow mailtion. I was trying to get that ball.
I was trying to get that ball. Yeah, when he
comes out of bed and he you know, yeah, but
I'm so slow that they put it in slow motion.
I kind of had to for the effect. Stole all
those bases, put the gloves up every time.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
It's still literally the greatest montage is going.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
We are getting celts out kill.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Hit a guy in a car did you hit him, Wesley, No,
he kind of ran into me. Is that what happened? Yeah,
exactly what happened. I was chasing a football. The ball
was I was led a little bit. I mean I
try to you know, not enough air under the ball,
and I was trying to get it and he turned
and yeah, I just and then I got hit and
he said, where'd that truck come? And I go, if
you could hit like that major League, you wouldn't have
(04:12):
had to run for second base on a bunt. Oh man,
my mid section, I'm suing. You see, we tie it
all together.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
We got Blade and we got the Mad Movie with
Nick Age, So it all comes together.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
So as we get set for the final week of
preseason football, we get the news today that Russell Wilson
is going to play Wow this week. How about that
Steelers are playing the Lions? And this is why I
love Russell Wilson.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
The Dan Campbell sends thounds, We're blitzing from everywhere.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Nobody makes me laugh more than Russell Wilson. Because Russell Wilson,
I don't know how much tethered to reality he is.
We've kind of asked that question, why why I don't
mean n bubbles and now no, I mean like when it
comes to your football life. Like I think if you
ask him, Hey, Russell, where are you in your NFL career?
I'm about midway through. I'm woulda played time about forty five,
(05:09):
forty six? I got something? Oh yeah, I'm when when?
Really we know why he's playing this week? Because hey,
to hitch you between the eyes with something. This is
Russell Wilson's last chance to win the starting quarterback job
before he doesn't start in the NFL. Ever, again, does
it Missouri to show me? Sit? This is the show
me stage, This is what you show me game. There
(05:32):
will be dj a lot of rolling rocks towards him
this week. Uh, now, I'm gonna enjoy the game with
the rolling rock. There you go. The offense is abysmal.
Mike Tomlin has said we do too much JV stuff,
and you know he is fuming. Hasn't been able to
build a good offense for ten years. Uh, he needs
something to happen. We told you that Justin Fields is
(05:54):
just more dynamic. He can make more plays than Russell Wilson.
At this point, Russell Wilson's kind of a plotter. They
don't have the same skill set they did when Russell
Wilson was ten years younger. But the guy gets sacked
now a lot, like Justin Fields gets sacked but he's
holding onto the ball. Russell Wilson gets sacked because he
thinks I can still escape from the pressure and he can't. Right,
that's the difference. And Justin Fields can still make plays,
(06:16):
he can still turn that offense into a dynamic offense.
He can have design runs. There's more he can do.
This is Russell Wilson's last chance to win the job
or he's gonna be a backup now for the rest
of his career. Like this is the stakes for Russell
Wilson going into this game, and see why he is
playing again stakes no right Blade Vampires. This is why
(06:38):
I listened. The movie was great till Stevendorf showed up.
So this is why Russell Wilson is playing because it's something. Well,
why is Russell Wilson playing in Week three preseason? Why
is he doing this? And it's because it's his last
chance and if he doesn't play well, they don't they
don't put points on the board. Guess what it's gonna be.
Justin Field's week one. We told you a couple of
nights ago, Hey, he's gonna win this job. Justin Field
(07:00):
is gonna win this And I said, initially week five,
he's gonna win it by but it could be week
one of the regular season. Because Russell Wilson has not
been good. They're not just gonna hand him the job
after having a bad preseason when Justin Fields has made mistakes,
but he has looked a little bit better and again
a little bit tiny, more dynamic, not crazy better. Because
he was crazy better, it wouldn't even be a thing.
(07:21):
But this is Wilson's last chance. You got to show
that you can move the offense. And this is why
I love I laugh at Russell Wilson because he seems
to live in a different reality where if I know
that I'm playing in this game, I have to know
it's because I could be losing my grip on being
a QB one for the last time in the NFL.
But you hear Russell Wilson talk about it, and it's basically, yeah,
(07:44):
we got some few things to iron out. We gotta
make sure we're on the same page. Here's Russell Wilson
from today when it was announced he's going to play
this week against the Lions. Let's hear Russell Wilson. This
is where we played, Russell Wilson.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
Yeah, yeah, we're all playing. I'm excited. I'm excited to
get back on the field.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
You know.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
Last week was great to be out there for the
first time, you know, putting the pads on and everything else,
and and and you know, obviously we didn't get to
win and everything else. But I think the big thing
for us is just you know, executing and and us
making our plays and doing our thing.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
I think the most important thing for us to accomplish
is to play effishing football, you know, move the ball
up and down the field.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Obviously, we want to celebrate.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
In the end zone. That would be fun. We need
to get make sure that happens, and that's the standard
football we want to be able to play.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Yeah. Uh, it was good to get the pads on
for the first I'm like, we're still working out the kinks.
Like it's May and it's mini camp. Yeah, everything is
still going. You know, we want to be able to
celebrate in the end zone, that's the most but we
just kind of show that we can move the football
a little bit like he thinks would have been nice
to win and all that stuff. He thinks, he thinks,
this is like we we're not playing a game for
seven months. This is dude, this is the last time
(08:52):
you're gonna get a chance to show you can lead
this team before week one of the regular season. You
gotta have a sense of urgency. Man. I don't know
what color the sky is in your world, but this
is it. If you have a bad game and Justin
fields plays and he moves the team a little bit.
He's the quarterback man and you're not. And Wislon's gonna
walk around after going I did not see that coming.
(09:12):
I did not see that coming. I can't believe that.
That's amazing. I didn't see it come out. Part of
it is the never let him see you sweat. So
it's the just steady as she goes.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
And outside of the one interview he did when he
was talking about finally doing the James Harden and I
gotta get out of here kind of thing in Seattle,
has he ever said anything really interesting? I mean, not weird,
but like to where it wasn't just on script. No,
I mean he's the definition of you know, here's the
(09:43):
guy out of the factory, you know, factory delivered open
the box quarterback, giving you all the quarterback answers. Like
I used to do training camp tours, I don't wanted
to talk to the quarterbacks because they were boring as hell.
They were all robotic answers, which is why it's fun
when now you guys like Brady and the Mannings and
they're actually allowed to be themselves and they're allowing themselves
(10:05):
to be real. Although Peyton did have that idiot kicker
comment all those years ago, but otherwise you're gonna get
robotic whatever vanilla answers, and Russell's always been that guy.
So the fact that he said all these things not surprised.
Like you read between it though, is that he did
miss a lot of times with the injury sustained based
(10:28):
on pushing a.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Sled, which is just stope for the quarterback.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Yeah, right in the end, your offensive line's pushing the
line or you're doing some variation of the tush push,
and it's gonna be on the folks to drive you
forward from behind. All of that stuff. But it's his
opportunity to actually get some meaningful reps, right, Knock the
rust off all of those cliches that we use. And
(10:53):
to go back to where Tomlin said the race was
at the beginning, which was the pole position. All right,
here you go, don't throw up on yourself and lose
the job. But he can't say that, goes, oh, I
see it. Justin's been playing really well and they're about
to depose me.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Now he's not gonna say it.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
So you know what, my grip on reality and this
starting job are both tenuous.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
So this is no. I can't say that. But I
listened to him till he's like, yeah, we're all good.
Everybody's on the same page, like like we're a great
team that is just gonna win the super Bowl because
and oh he got a couple of things to bang
out and and just to hear that from him when
you know, Mike Tomlin has been telling you too much
JV stuff, man, And you know what, Mike Tomlin's one
(11:38):
of those guys where you walk into his off and
you go, man, it's like twenty degrees hotter in here,
because he's just mad about how bad the offense is.
I gegging it and I'm looking at film and I'm
looking at tape and I'm just mad and I'm sweating
and I'm not happy, and what are you in my
office for? Like you could see Tomlin is saying, we
got to get it going. There's too much JV stuff.
This whent Justin Fields had his first game, his first
(12:00):
taste as a quarterback with the Steelers. It was hey,
he hurt himself tonight, hurt himself with the fumble. There's
no way. We saw Justin do a lot of good things.
We saw everything moves faster.
Speaker 6 (12:10):
Now.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
You don't have four weeks in the preseason. You have
time for mistakes. This is this is this is a
time now in the NFL where it's you gotta get
going and get going now. And Russell Wilson still still
talks like, yeah, yeah, we got plenty of time. We
got months you don't have. You're not gonna be the quarterback.
It's all you're getting drafted. You had a quarterback for
four years before they decide they want to move on
from you. Well, we don't know if he's any good.
We drafted the guy four years ago. No, this is it,
(12:33):
like this is it Saturday. This game is his final
dress rehearsal to be a number one quarterback in the
NFL and he and I don't. I don't know that
he sees it that way, and I don't know that
these guys that sense of urgency.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
The question is this the way he's prepared the whole time?
And I would say from the outward what we've heard hit.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
A blocking sled. Come on, man, he hit a blocking sledge.
I'm saying in terms of his men.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
He again, yeah, he hit a blocking They made him
do the drill that was part of They had the
quarterback to do that.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
Now he didn't.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
He got hurt and Justin Fields didn't age health, all
of that stuff.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
But why the quarterback drill?
Speaker 3 (13:14):
It's a problem for me. So I've been saying it
all along out of fear and a reprisal that he gets,
you know, the extended run on the quarterback slot.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
But yeah, for Russell Wilson, I think you have to go.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
And if that's been your approach to where everything is,
everything's fine, it's raining like hell on your Russell na
s guy's nice and blue, or he starts singing the
sun will come out tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
I don't know, I.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Really I don't understand. I don't understand it, but it's
it's the most fun. I reference going to training camps.
Li Trope was always the most fun because Tomlin's hand
was in everything. Most coaches found one place like you'd
go to a bunch of cities and you'd see the teams.
Some would be up in the you know, the perch,
and they'd be watching from above. Some would just go
(14:01):
with if they were a defensive coach, they'd be hanging out,
you know, with the linebackers. No, Tomlin went from station
to station, so he was witnessing every day what was
going on and guess what. He had a very blunt critique.
If you were struggling or if you thought you were
dogging it, he let you know, no uncertain terms, to
the point of I'm gonna call your grandmother. You want
(14:22):
me to call your grandmother and tell and tell her
what I saw today?
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Russ, this is it. I've said justin field, De's be
the guy. But I feel better that I've done my
job telling you that you gotta get going now if
you're gonna win this job. So there we go. See
are you feeling better that there is a help? A
little bit less.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Focused and moving in a straightforward direction than your jets.
There were another one.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Hey, we beat the crap out of the giants. Right here,
I'm feeling okay, did you see that clip of nine
thousand dollars? But we'll get We'll get to the Jets Show.

friend Mike Harmon. Nice. I'll pull back to Hurtin for you.
One of my favorite songs to dance too, is it? Ah? Yeah,
because I could just sit there and and and put
my legs apart and just have my hands go forward
like I'm doing a wave and it works, So goes
so well with us.
Speaker 6 (16:06):
You're so welcome back.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Yeah, thank you, Mary Mac. Following up with the Twilight
Singers version.
Speaker 6 (16:11):
I got you.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Yeah you mean Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson did this
in Twilight. No, you're not going, Taylor Lawton. I'm Team Jacob.
He was at the Erastore Night seven in London. You know, dang,
just really quick. You want you want a good team
Edward Team Jacob story. So we went to go see
one of them became the second movie, so New Moon,
(16:32):
and we're getting ready to get in line, and uh
uh there's people, these girls they're probably like twelve thirteen
years old, and they're asking everybody Team Edward, Team Jacob
like as you're walking, like just doing a fun thing.
They go team Edward, team Jacob, Team Edwarder, Team Jacob team,
and then I go team James. You know, the bad
guy from the first one. Yeah, And they looked at me.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Get out of here.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
That's so mad at me because I said, James, that's
faan tasting, and they were like, get out of what if?
I said, Team Alice, Oh, Alice is so great, I
could be friends with that. I said, yes, Team Alice,
Team Alice, Team Alice.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Okay, And then you opened up your shirt to reveal
a James T shirt.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
This is how James gets in and kills you whoa well,
so well he didn't, I mean obvious they got rid
of him. Spoiler Vampire Baseball. The Jason Smith Show is
Mike Carmon live from the tire rack dot Com Studios.
Time now to welcome in a man who was going
even I listen to this show and I know they're crazy.
I don't get what that was all about. He is
a longtime NFL insider. He is a Pro Football Hall
(17:38):
of Very Good voter, continuing to put very good players
in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is on
Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. He is also currently
working on breaking down CD Lamb's contract to get him
into Cowboys camp. It's Jason Cole, Jake Cale, what's happening, man?
Speaker 4 (17:56):
I actually want to hear Brianna's take on which team
she's for, because for the first time in the forty
seven years that I've done this show, it's a long time,
it is I have heard a woman's voice be part
of this show. And I pollute that you guys have
finally opened yourselves up to more advanced thinking which might
(18:17):
make you famous. I'm worthy of saying. The Hall of
Fame is that? What is that? Is that? The Hall
of Fame? And radio? Is that that thing in North
Carolina or something like that? Is that with that Salisbury,
North Carolina Broadcasters Hall of Fame thing?
Speaker 1 (18:32):
I don't know, but now I want to have a
Salisbury steak because.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
Yeah, that's well here, because you're a hall of very.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Good or interview Sean Salisbury either one. Well, I mean,
look he asked for you want to jump in. Yeah,
come on, Brianna, your take on the CD lamp situation.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
Go, no, no, no, no, we have.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
We have one woman should be Hall of Fay. You listen,
we have two women running the show Town, we got Brianna.
We have Mary Max. So Mary you heard on the
show before she said some things. Usually we have to
dump it because you know sometimes.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
Wow, No, you guys are not. You are not equal opportunity.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Of course we are. No, you're not okay when Frostburg
gets back to see if he ever calls you again
to come on the show. All right, so good, Well
you get one question for Brionna. Go ahead, Brianna filling
in here. Brianna, who is a success story here at
Fox Sports Radio, interned here six years ago. Less thought
(19:35):
we had seen the last of her. Thought she was gone,
she had gone out. She worked in the medical industry.
A couple of times she would show up here and say, hey,
can you hold this in your in your house, met
for like five days, I'll come pick it up and
I'll come back. Don't tell anybody anything. We thought she
was gone, and then she came back about a year ago,
and here she is now full fledged member here of
(19:56):
the staff. Six years she fought her way back and
now here she is now exactly.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
So no, no, Jason, Jason, mister mister Cole, mister Smith said, hey,
go ahead and ask.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Her your question. Do you have one question for Brionna?
Go ahead?
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Which team? Which team?
Speaker 6 (20:18):
I'm a SATs fan? Who dat?
Speaker 4 (20:22):
No? Not that football team movie one listening? You weren't
even listening. Okay, there we.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Go, Team Edward.
Speaker 6 (20:34):
I thought I thought he was talking about like football
and not the movie.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
No.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
No, all right, So Mary Mack, your team Team Edward,
Team Jacob? Do you know who they are?
Speaker 8 (20:43):
First of all, I've I watched Twilight, Okay, but I'm
not gonna lie.
Speaker 6 (20:47):
I wasn't really a big fan of it.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Okay, so you know, but you're nobody's I was. I'm
gonna lie.
Speaker 8 (20:53):
I was a team Jacob girl for a lot though,
because one of my friends is actually cousins with Taylor Lautner.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Okay I was.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
I was like really cool with her.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Okay, see I liked him because he's shorter than me. Yeah.
There's not a lot of guys. All right. So so
Mary Mack is somehow.
Speaker 6 (21:11):
It seems, but I don't know. Because Edward grew on
me during the last I think was it was.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
It because his skin was because his skin was so
silvery and.
Speaker 8 (21:21):
Part one in part two, I had watched that and
I was like, you know, what I understand Team So
I don't really I don't really care.
Speaker 6 (21:27):
I don't know. I don't really care about vampire this stuff.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Okay, all right, And Brianna is Team Edward.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
I really thought she was going to go down and
do a deep dive with the Saints. We'll have to
do that.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Ye oh wait, I think she's actually saying Jason, she's
actually Team Edwards, team herm Edwards. I think that's what
she's saying. Well played, all right, So there you go,
as your curiosity been been scratched with Team Edward, Team
Jacob here with Twilight talk.
Speaker 4 (21:59):
If I feel old, okay, I feel good about this.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
I mean, you come out here, you come out here
every week and you may give you get make fun
that I say. You're a Hall of very good voter.
And this is the first five minutes of the interview.
And this is all. And this is the first five
minutes of the interview, bab And I don't know who's
the who's the Who's who's the guy in your dead
Bill Porter, Jim Porter? Who's the guy that's gonna say? Cole?
Come on, and you can't do interviews like this and
(22:24):
keep your vote.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
What the hell's going on here, Jim Porter, Hall of Fame.
Move on, I've had enough. I've had enough. Move on,
ask some ask nine Jeffs question. Just do it, Just
go ahead, just do it.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Okay, Jets over under thirteen wins this year. I'm taking over.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
Have they won any of the preciadon you had?
Speaker 3 (22:56):
You asked it like it was a bug. Laughlan report
won the over under at thirteen. Let's take you.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
We beat the crap out of the giants today. We
won the last deal.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
We're fine if we if we said half of that
thirteen six and a half, I take the over.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Oh stop, come on, man, come on, We're we're going
to roll through everybody. We have a great defense.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
As long as I will honestly say this, I like
the Jets. Yeah you do do Jets?
Speaker 1 (23:24):
And who in the super Bowl? Jets and who.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Jet Bears. That's what we're going fort watch. You guys
have a fifth fight the week before.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Well, I'm already working to rent out the sphere, so
we could do that in front of a global audience.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Should be pretty easy to run out the sphere.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
They'll tell you, guys, You guys should be the warm fact.
If I go watch you two again. That'd be awesome.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
We'd be good.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
It would be good.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Hopefully the sphere is still standing in that crash.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
But that's a whole other thing. Hey, what'd you think
of the two? A tongue of my low. I had
a character going after Brian Flores a bit.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
You know, it took him, like how many years did
it take? Two? Three years for him to like comfortably
like edge up to this to the point where he
would just let it all hang out. I'm like, hey,
he was honest, he told the truth. But be like, dude,
(24:19):
why didn't why it take you so long? Why did
it take you so long to go after him? If
you were ever going to go after him, you either
do it right off the bat and you snarl at
the guy and say, let me show you you don't
wait all this time and then kind of creep up
on it and creep up on it like, oh he
was mean to me, and he was mean to me,
(24:39):
so he was a real jack at Like you don't
do it that way, like say it from the top
or don't. So I kind of annoyed with for taking
so long to do this. And the other side of
it is like Brian Flores is actually a pretty good
coach during his time Miami. He did not handle to
(25:01):
a well. He thought that this guy was going to
be like Tom Brady and that he could treat to
the way that Belichick treated Brady, and that was not
understanding the players involved and you know who he was
working with and that and that's short sighted on Flora's
this part. But like it's been how many years, it's
(25:23):
over with, move on, you know that. And that's where
I'm I kind of look at to him and go, yeah,
you told the truth. But I don't find I don't
find this to be like some you know, great revelation
at this point in time. And I don't find it
to be anything courageous, Like you're not really standing up
(25:44):
to anybody and drawing a line in the stand, like
let me show you. It's like, oh, I had a
good year. Let me tell you know. Now I can
speak out. I mean, I don't know. I'm uncomfortable the
whole time.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Jason Goal with US Pro Football Hall of Same Voter,
longtime NFL. All right, so let me put you on
the spot with this one. You're uncomfortable with that? How
about this? After Saturday? The starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh
Steelers for the opening game this season will be who to.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
Be announced like to be to be traded for? Is that?
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Wow? Who are they going to trade for? Kirk Cousins.
They're gonna put Pennis in Week two and trade for Cousins?
Speaker 4 (26:26):
Yeah, like, hey, can we swing a deal? Now? It's
Jimmy Russell Wilson. I mean Tomlin's not. Tomlin's not trusting
a playoff caliber season to Justin Field. He's just not
doing that. A guy who needs too much work, who
he knows the work that needs to be done to
(26:49):
make him a competent passer. It's not the Fields can't
get there. We've talked about Fields before, but he's not there.
He's regressed a lot. He regressed a lot last season,
and as bad as Wilson has been, like, you know,
Wilson can do it. I can just protect him and
you know, you know this can't work. So I think
(27:11):
it's Russell Wilson. I still stand on Justin Fields is
going to start games. And probably if you said over
under a number of starts for Justin Fields and put
the number at four, I might still take the over
on that one and not because of injury, but because
of inconsistent play from Russell Wilson.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. That is
at Jason Cole sixty two. Deem Edward. Do you remember
who too played Edward?
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Do you remember Herm Edwards? Herm Edward played a team Edwards.
That's the team I'm about. Team Edward is Edwards, the
kind of classy guy who shows up and works out
every morning at the Combine so that we can talk
to him before we played our basketball games at the
Combine for years, because.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Because it was because it was Jacob that handed the
ball off to Larry Zanka and he fumbled, and then
Edwards ran into the end zone for the beer.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
To to Uhcob shot.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Look, as long as he doesn't have to recruit anybody,
we'll be okay, see.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
You, buddy, We'll talk to you next week. Jacob. Here
he goes Jason Cole, what team Team Edward? Team Jacob,
I'm a Saints fan who dad, No, But he said
what team he is? Yeah, but we were all talking
about the whole like I knew that. I was keeping
(28:46):
that in my head, like, Okay, we're talking about Team Edward.
Team job.
Speaker 6 (28:50):
I was talking about football team team.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
I'm a Saints fan.
Speaker 6 (28:56):
You know what that gives?
Speaker 1 (28:57):
What was the call that happened?
Speaker 8 (28:59):
The call for though, I think was it was it
for the Mets, and he was like, stand up, south
side stand up.
Speaker 6 (29:07):
That's exactly what you just did.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Stand up, south side stand up.
Speaker 6 (29:11):
Golly gosh, you guys.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
I'm a Saints fan. I liked it. It was just
a matter of fact, So who I am?
Speaker 6 (29:21):
South side stand up?
Speaker 1 (29:22):
She was like money in Major League fly ball. Caught
Saints fan who that
