Speaker 3 (02:18):
Sorry, story timeould you have me? You have us new
story music ready.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
I'm getting it cleared at the moment, but I'll play
it anyways.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Is that okay? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Sure, get because new story music. Yeah, here we go.
Yeah all right, very nice?

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Yeah, hi grandpa? Yeah, now this is this is perfect
ninety five perfect story music. I remember a gumball was
only a nickel? Is this the Dorsey Orchestra? Let's go?
You ever heard a chum bucket? Now you're just picturing
me dancing with Agent Carter. Wait a minute, I was
dancing with Haley atwell you.

Speaker 6 (02:53):
Shine. Hey Walter Brennan, which is not Christmas yet? Hey,
oh hey, I remember you.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
This is Christmas. This is let me tell a really
sad story about Christmas. Che sing an old friend. Yeah no, no, no,
oh yeah, yeah no.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Don't trust me. You know, listen, you really want to
be depressed at Christmas? Just listen to every Walter Brennan
Christmas song, every single one. Oh my goodness, my favorite
is three Letters for Christmas. Whereas he's telling the story
that every day he goes to the me.

Speaker 6 (03:23):
I went to the mailbox and our oldest Tommy sent
a letter, I can't make it home for Christmas.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Can't make it.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Sorry, Ma, he sounds like you're not sweeting Peyton and
cupper Manny. And then the next day we got a
letter from Billie, our middle kid. He said, Mom, I'm sorry,
I'm not coming home for Christmas. Like this is the
worst Christmas song? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Ever?

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Well no, I mean look, because you gotta be thankful
for the times that you get this.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Sometimes all the kids can't come home, all the kids,
all the kids can't get it. They show up the
next day.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
It wasn't all the surprise, Big rope of dope set
the letters ahead. Mom and dad all depressed and defeated. Tada,
here we are, and they like, got see you.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
At Hell and you were there, and you were there
and you were a scarecrolue pillin sell an old friend.
That's that's that's the uh, that's the late night infomercial version.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Oh I don't like late night. No, they didn't have
that when Walter Brennan was making songs. I I don't
remember him, but you sound like him pretty good. Listen
to play Walter Bridge.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Oh that's no one, No one can come home for Christmas.
Here's the thing, Mom, I gotta tell you. Things are
so sad. I'm dying, our kids are dying, the next
door neighbors are dying. All the animals are dead, cars dead,
can't go anywhere. In fact, I'm dying in five seconds.
Merry Christmas. That's every Walter Brennan Christmas song.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Steve Dahl did something like that at the end of
the seventies.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
I'm tired of eating meal. So anyway, your old man's
story was what.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
So I had a great idea and I always get
got at pooh pood when I was at ESPN was
I always wanted to do uh an idol type thing
to find someone to you know, we have like an
American Idol type of contest where people send in do
auditions and send in audio file whatever it is, and

(05:11):
they audition and they get a part time role at
Fox at ESPN because I did the idea ESPN weow.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
But I mean, think about it, they had that whole
dream job. So you didn't get any writer credit for that.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
No, no, no, no. All these years later, nothing changes, no no no.
And the thing is is.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
That I was so mad because I had the idea,
I think this would be great and it would be
a whole big thing and people would love it. And
the guy who I had to ask to do it
told me no. He said, no, no, we're not going
to do it. And this is a guy who was
just in charge of like a bunch of years ago,
Mike and Mike are on the radio. They did this
wedding giveaway where people want people wanted to get married,

(05:49):
won this wedding thing and they got married on the
show and everything else. It was a huge thing. He
spearheaded that it was a huge deal for ESPN. Right, Oh,
the marriage so great. So I said, okay, oh yeah,
how about all night?

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
No, No, here's all the stuff you have to do
to worry about it. Go what do you mean the
stuff I have to do? You know you got to
get this cleared. You gotta get this clear.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
You gotta go.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
I go.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
I'm sorry. Mike and Mike got that stuff cleared. You
didn't do that. Someone didn't do that for them.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
I was so mad at this, like, no, I'm just
not gonna do it. I'm just not gonna do it
for you. I'm not gonna do I was so mad.
And now the guy's not even radio.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Well, they did one of those things. So I went
in the larger Fox Sports radio world.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
I tell my guy, Peter Burns, who was on the
Fantasy Freaks with me all those years.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Yeah, that's how he got into didn't they didn't? Didn't
they name I thought they named that character on Melrose
Place for him. That was Jack Wagner's character. He was
Peter Burns.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Fritzka. Boy, we've talked so long about this. They started
a long line. I'm oh.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
I mean, look, it's a very popular song. It's one
of those you'd be at a dance say, hey, can
you play that again?

Speaker 1 (06:44):
You have to get this cleared? But that's not my job.
Isn't it for you to get Well? Yeah, but I'm
not gonna do it. Oh great, thanks, okay, I appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
A great idea.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Then you went Bartles and James on him. Thank you
for your support. Okay, you see I like this music, tysher,
that's good, that's good. I remember when the declaration of
a pennance was signed.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
My pen didn't have any ink in it.

Speaker 6 (07:04):
So I went and I grabbed an eagle, and I
pulled a quill off and I stuck it right in
my own blood, and I signed the declaration on the bottom.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
One of my.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
Favorite memories was throwing tea off in Boston's boat.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
I said, no, don't throw the tea off because people
just sink. Throw it on a boat, and at least
we can take it and offload it. We can put
it on a truck and drive it down south. I
got a market. Oh, I got a fence for it.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
All. Come on. I loved the babysitting Abraham.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Okay, all right, I I I gotta, we, we gotta. We're
gonna talk about the Shannon Sharp sex tape. Okay, okay,
we're gonna talk about that, all right.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Then changed the music off.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
I ask a little quickly, alleged, sorry, allegedly, No, I
think I think he's fessed up that. Nobody said he
got hacked. No, he said he got hacked. Really said
it was me. He said he got hackally that's me. Oh,
he shaggied it and then he brought it back.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Uh so this tape or this video gets leaked earlier
today on a live stream. Yeah, that supposedly was Shannon
Sharp having sex with the woman who I think we
know her name is Michelle because you know that's trending everywhere,
and there's no video of it.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
Like a phone set up. I'm sure you've seen it
or listened to it.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
A phone is set up and you hear two people
having a good time with each other, and you hear
her say his name, and her name is said, and.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Shannon Sharp says, I was hacked. I'm getting to the
bottom of this right away. She call him unk.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah, man, that that's that's too weird. That's that's too weird.
Now you get Now you're getting weird on me, armin.
Now you'reet weird on me. So this take gets out there,
and now Shannon Sharp decides at the end to say, oh, hey,
you know, yeah, I know I said all that stuff
about uh yeah, but uh yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
So quote I threw my phone on the bed, noting
that he had no idea he he's live streaming on
Instagram at the time.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Quote my heart sank.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
My teap.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
My team is working vigorously to figure this out, working
vigorously to figure it out. So I don't like, I
don't know why you put out the statement. If you're
just gonna then later on say okay, it was me.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Once you realize how good. This is for you.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Hey, the Kardashians are billionaires because of that.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Hey wait a minute. Uh, some people were convinced she
can act. Things are actually okay, Shannon, you can own
up to this. Oh okay, great, yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
Many many millions of downloads and had some funny commentary.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
It's like it's like in The Boys when Homelander kills
that one person that innocent bystandery thinks, oh my god,
now we're gona hate. I'm gonna go to prison, and
I'll start cheering for him. It's like, oh, oh, all right,
maybe I'm alright with this. Like that's probably how it was. Hey,
I was hacked, I'm getting working vigorous, getting to the
bottom of.

Speaker 3 (09:48):
This, and all was working vigorous, and then it was hey,
uh everything is okay. Man.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
People are just kind of saying, hey, got that freaky
videot all right.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Now, here's the thing about it that's better than the
interviews that we got, right, yeah, okay, yeah, I think so.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
I think so.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Well, you know, I listen, you had the big Cat Williams.
You gotta follow it up with some kind of interview
with right, Uh, this is this is something. This is
different because this is and this This is what makes
this sex tape story so different, is that this is
the thinking man's and thinking person sex tape because you

(10:29):
don't see anything, you just hear it. So it's really
theater of the mind with what you think is happening.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
So you got to figure out what you think. Michelle.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Exactly when I first played it and I'm listening to it,
my wife just goes, is that another dog video? Good?

Speaker 3 (10:47):
Wait?

Speaker 1 (10:47):
I get inundated with dog videos now, because you know
I have multipoop and now I get inundated, like I
clicked on one on Instagram and now forget it, like
every day is here's a new multipoo video and some
of her funny and I showed her but at the beginning,
you like a little bit of the yelling.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Goes, is that another dog video?

Speaker 1 (11:03):
I go, no, Shannon Sharp, Apparently I was having sex
with a woman and live streamed it, and she goes,
what I go, Yeah, this is gonna be a while
to unfold.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
But it's a it's.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
A thinking man sex because it's not hey, oh, here's
the sex on camera that you can see. If it
was the Kim Kardashian tape or the Pamela Anderson tape
or the Tanya Heart whatever it was not. So you
could just say this is, oh, I got a kind
of envision what I might see.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
So this could have been a dramatic reading, this is
this is theater of the mind.

Speaker 6 (11:36):
This could be stuff, right, It might not even have
been sexty, might have just been Hey, I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
People are gonna think, how do you know what a
gronking to remember? I remember that book, I remember when
it came out. I didn't read it. I read a lot.
I didn't read that. You read a gronking dram or not?
Did you read a gronky Let me curate, Let me
see your apason history, what.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
You've ordered all? I don't think you will. You read
the book? You read a gronking demand thumbed through it?
You really.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
You really did?

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Why not? You really can gronking to remember? About far
did you get it?

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Was?

Speaker 3 (12:13):
It didn't take very long to get through it. Did
the Patriots win? Of course? Okay? All right? Did they
play it? Did they play the Jets wrong? They went
over the Jets? Gronked, Well, you can use the Jets
as the team.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Okay, they fought, Oh, the pet trademarks and the New
England the city. The New Englanders beat the the airplanes today.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
In the game.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
It was very big. Then they beat the bison and
that was very big.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Then they beat the uh uh, what's up?

Speaker 3 (12:41):
You said?

Speaker 1 (12:41):
It's all very big. Then it became a gronky They
beat the bottle noses. That was a big game to
the bottles. I like that, that's good. Or the porpoises
beat the porpoises bottle noses. Really of all this sudden
now you you've derailed me that you bought, actually bought
and read a gronking turn. You know what, I I

(13:03):
do copious research for the show apparently, so you know,
I gotta read this romance no stone unturned, because look,
everybody's got a children's book out these days. I got
to start somewhere. Okay, so we can get the Romance aisle.
This is the exact opposite of it. No, but we
could go one way or the other.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Okay, all right, gronking I want.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
To be on that wall that you go to when
you go to Barnes and Noble at the holidays and
they try to say, hey, limited edition sign copies. I
want there to be you know something by Harmon for
the kids.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
The Thinking Man sex tape. That's just think about the
Thinking Man. Say, hey, you're not gonna see it, but
you're gonna get to picture it. How does he top it?
And then what's the sequel?

Speaker 6 (13:43):
Boy?

Speaker 3 (13:44):
I think he's got a little bit to go.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
I think he's got to go back to the Shayche podcast.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
You can't you can't top this here, you have to go. Okay,
we did podcast, now.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
We did Thinking Man sex tape, and now we're gonna
have to do something else different.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Okay, yeah, that's something. I mean, you're gonna have to
see it though, because you got I mean this, Okay.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
Might be into unboxing of shoes and gifts people send
him into this theater. I think you should do a
dramatic reading of all the comments that came.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
In theater of the mind. Whatever you see on television
does not compare to the imagination of Bart Simpson. I
can imagine quite a bit. This is the best dape ever.
But what are you thinking of?

Speaker 3 (14:28):
It doesn't matter what I'm thinking of. I'm thinking on
on now.

Speaker 7 (14:31):
Skip, I'm thinking on one television. The Mets are winning
the World Series and I'm watching that. Well, I've enjoying myself,
and on another television Aaron Rodgers was telling me to relax, relax, relax.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
This is what I'm picturing. I mean, that helps the process.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Time to find out what's trending in the wide world
of sports. From someone who I hope her headphones have
been off for the last few minutes, Monty Blagno's that's
all the news Mancy.

Speaker 8 (14:58):
You guys.

Speaker 9 (14:58):
I was gesturing to you, Jason as you guys were
talking because show hey. Otani hit his forty seventh homer
of the season to lead off the Dodgers in the
bottom of the ninth inning. I know, I know, with
Francisco lind Door's night. But then that wasn't it. Then
Tommy Edmund hit a two run shot. Will Smith just
hit another homer. Max Munsey just hit a home run.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Cubs pitcher Jordan A.

Speaker 9 (15:20):
Wicks has not gone out of the first inning, has
given up six hits and five earned run.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
What the hell did oh?

Speaker 1 (15:26):
I gotta go what DJ Jordan Wicks like Wick's Furniture
going out of business very early in this game, DJ,
go spend your sign.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
To go, spend your sign. Stop it.

Speaker 9 (15:40):
So the Dodgers are beating the Cubs five to two
after the first inning.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Again, this just got started. But Otani now forty seven
and forty seven.

Speaker 9 (15:48):
After Francisco Lindor literally broke up the no hitter for
the Mets against the Blue Jays, they scored nine runs
all in the ninth inning and they beat them six
to two. So it's been an exciting day for sure.
In baseball, the Nationals outscored the Braves five to one.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Atlanta one game out of the final.

Speaker 9 (16:03):
Walkard spot in the National League behind the Mets. The
Phillies edged the race three to two, and the Red
Sox defeated the Oriols five to two. Tyler O'Neil with
the three run shot in the tenth inning. The Yankees
and the Royals went to eleven innings. New York wins it.
Jazz Chishom Junior puts the ball in play gets the
walk off RBI, so the Yankees win it. Let's check
in on the NFL, where Packers head coach Matt Lafleur

(16:25):
says the door is still open for Jordan Love to
play in Week two against the Colts despite a knee injury.
Forty nine Ers head coach Kyle Shanahansa's running back Christian
McCaffrey was going to be a limited participant today with
his achilles and calf injuries. Apparently McCaffrey's mentality is that
he's gonna play, but the NFL Network reports that his
chances are really a long shot that he's gonna play
in Minnesota. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson off the injury report

(16:47):
never really was on it, but he will start Sunday
against the Raiders. Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson limited that practice
today with his calf injury as well, and the WNBA
the Aces defeated the Fever eighty six to seventy five.
Asia Wilson ended with twenty seven points and twelve rebounds.
She also broke the single season WNBA scoring record. I
think she's at nine hundred and fifty six points. The

(17:08):
record was set by Jewel Lloyd of the Storm last
year with nine hundred and thirty nine, So we know
that she has more than nine forty for sure.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
But I just didn't do all the math because then
nobody tells me what the math is.

Speaker 9 (17:21):
Chalen Clark struggled from the field six of twenty two,
one of ten from the three point line sixteen points
and six assists in the loss.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Back to you guys, Thank you, mich iouay, it's Fuzzy Math. Yes,
it is Fuzzy Math.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
The Jason Smith Show of the Mike Carmon Locke the

free road hazard protection, over ten thousand recommended installers. Tirack
dot Com is the way tire buying should be, just
really quick. Apparently it is ball night at Doctor Stadium tonight.

(18:54):
You get a ball. Everybody in attendance gets a ball
because there's every other batter coming up is hitting a
home run run. Toddhams hit what four in the first
first time in franchise history. Suzuki just went deep off
of Bobby Miller, So it's five to three Dodgers over
the Cubs in the third.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Max Munsey hit his fourteenth of the year in that
first inning on his babble ahead night. So one of
those old traditions, ye bobblehead nights. You got that.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
The other is pretty cool. You know the international players
on display. I mean, you've got several Japanese players in
this series and they've all shown out right.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
We talked about Yamamoda yesterday. Suzuki a couple of big hits.
So yeah, it's it's been a fun run here these
last couple of nights. Obviously Dodgers five to three. It's
the third that game started an hour ago. So at
this rate, Otani may get to fifty to fifty to night. Well,
Zarady got a home run, Artie got a home run.

(19:50):
Just gotta get three more, couple more stolen bases, ain't
gonna get.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
Getna get a bunch of bats, that's for damn sure.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Look we got Jason call stopping buying about twenty minutes,
all all the latest news in the NFL. Will preview
tomorrow night's big TNF game between the Bills and the Dolphins.
But the latest on Deshaun Watson today, and this is
where I'm gonna kind of zig where you think I'm
gonna zag? In a second, Watson denied the latest sexual
assault allegations. This story came up about a day or

(20:18):
so ago, another woman accusing him of crime in twenty twenty.
The NFL says it's still reviewing the complaint under the
Personal Conduct Policy, but Watson's not gonna be on the
Commissioner's exemplest because there have been no formal charges and
the league's review has just begun. Kevin Stefanski just said,
we're gonna let this play out. He's playing with us

(20:39):
on Sunday. Now I get that the Browns, they gotta
be sick and tired of this.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
I saw this again. We got to get through it.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Look, first things first, before we get to something a
little bit different about this story, is that.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
How is this gonna go?

Speaker 1 (20:53):
I should have bet my Summer Bowl prediction Jameis Winston's
gonna start at least half the games for the Browns,
because now it looks like it's gonna be more like
three quarters. We told you the other night, it's not
gonna be very long because on the field, if Deshaun
Watson is not performing, the Browns aren't going to go
through this again. They are going to go to go
to Jameis Winston and Deshaun Watson will not start another

(21:15):
two weeks and they have no choice the whole Oh,
they're gonna cut him.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
You can't cut him.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
You got if all this money, all the dead cut money,
that's not going to happen. What most likely is going
to happen. If this is what's happening right now with
this situation, and again there is language in his contract
about what money they would owe him if in fact
a crime you know they're accused of. There's there's definitely
I guarantee you all. The Brown's lawyers have been looking

(21:40):
over this thing with a fine tooth comb for the
last year. What would happen is this, Winston'll become the
quarterback and Deshaun Watson will just be deactivated and he
will spend time away from the team. Doesn't need to
be in the commissioner's exemp list or anything else. He
just will be inactive. That's how it's gonna go for.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Him, Wasn't that? The Buccaneers and Keyshawan.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
All ye, Jennifer Ken You're you're inactive for us the
rest of the way. Uh, and we'll sort this out
in the off season. They're not going to make a
rash decision on Watson now they will. He will be
away from the team and then things will get sorted
out in the off season. If this does wind up
getting settled, UH, in a fortuitous way for Deshaun Watson,
maybe he comes back, depending on how Jameis Winston plays,

(22:24):
depending on how Dorian Thompson Robinson, plays, depending on how
Derek Anderson plays uh and maybe he sees his way back.
But I guarantee you that it's not gonna go where
suddenly he's a backup. It's gonna be he's away from
the team and they're going in this direction now, and
whatever happens money wise, we'll figure it out in a
few months. It's only the middle of September. We don't

(22:45):
have to cut him, we don't have to eat money yet.
Let's wait and see. Let's let's watch it play out,
not only from the legal standpoint, but from the standpoint
of where our team is this year. So we'll wait
and we'll say that's something that will work on in January, February, March,
we get closer to the league year, that's what you
will see it. So it's not gonna be something rational
suddenly he's out. It will be he's more inactive and

(23:07):
away from the team.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
As of now, you've got the schedule ahead at Jacksonville,
who overall did a decent job with Miami, a couple
of jail break kind of opportunities in terms of big plays,
and then you have the Giants there you go, and
then on the road at the Raiders followed by a

(23:28):
game against the Commanders. So you got some winnable games
up on the slate and for week one, part of
part of me, you know, with all of it, and
you're not giving people mulligans or teams mulligans, but you're
trying to go through the stories. Like we talked about
with the Jets, right, you got a date with the
forty nine ers in week one, you had some tough

(23:49):
sledding and for the Browns you get out of the
gate and you have a dismal performance. But it's week one.
He's got the death of his father hanging over him.
You don't know how people are going to respond to that.
If you didn't have the history he would he probably
would have gotten a pass. Unfortunately you got that. And

(24:10):
I'm not talking about the off field. I'm just saying, no,
the last couple of yet, one of his teammates died
Clemson two, right, you know, so there's a lot of
that that weighing there. So not to say that you
turn on it instantly and that suddenly in week two
he goes and lights it up. But maybe there's a
there's a little bit more now with Stefanski mentioned him

(24:31):
and his presser being asked about these newest allegations, He's
got the thousand yards stare at the reporters like.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
I don't want to deal with this anymore. I don't
want to. I don't think anybody does.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
Already he settled with twenty three out of twenty four
the last go around of these these allegations. Now the
Texas Grand Juries didn't indict, but you've got another civil
matter that's now hanging out in the balance. He says
he first learned it just as the public did, so

(25:04):
no advance notice, he and his lawyers and anybody else.
And now the NFL just begins an investigation, which we've
seen it go both ways for the NFL. Either it's
very fast and it's an expeditious fact finding mission because
they want it done and resolved to whatever satisfaction Goodell

(25:25):
and his office mates there at the NFL down on
Park Avenue figure out, or it drags forever and becomes
the all right, we'll wait and if nothing else happens,
status quo, go play.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
So I would.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
Guess at least in the interim it's the latter, as
this is just fresh and new information. But the fact
that he played terribly in week one and now has
a date against the team with a really damn good
pass rush that could make his day miserable. Again, that
might expedite things at least from the Brown side, because remember,
you get special passes and privileges and everything else if

(26:02):
you're playing well. I'm not saying it's right, but that's
generally the way this has always worked.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
Right, if you're.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
Playing well until forced off the field, you'll be under
center and he hasn't earned that, you know, you know,
latitude from the squad, whatever you think of the off
field transgressions, exit.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Out about a Fresco exit swollen dome the Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon. So that's like likely where it's
headed week three. Inactive Browns will figure it out. Now,
let me just give credit fear for for a couple
of things, because obviously, look, when we talk about Deshaun Watson,
it's a really heavy topic and it's and it's it's
like I said, I get that people are kind of

(26:44):
like Kevin Stefanski, man, I got to hear about that. Yeah,
good fortune, it's a thing. But I want to say
this because this is what is really amazing and so
incredibly impressive is that since they've signed to Shaun Watson,
he has barely played due to suspension injury, and when
he has played, he has not been good. This should

(27:05):
have dragged them so far down because you traded away
three first round picks, a third round pick, and a
fifth round pick, and he's taking up all sorts of
your salary cap room because all the money is guaranteed.
You haven't had their first round pick. This is now
two years in a row. You haven't had it yet.
You traded away three this you gave away a lot
of assets and you're not getting anything from him. And

(27:28):
still you are over five hundred in the last two
plus years since you signed to Sean Watson, including a
playoff berth last year when you played four quarterbacks. That
shouldn't be possible. When when you give up everything to
get a guy, you give away draft picks, you don't

(27:48):
get anything from him. You should be starting over that division.
This she's over new ed coach do everything, and instead
Stefanski and the Browns are not only playing well, they're
a playoff threat. Like look at what the Broncos did
to go get Russell Wilson. What did they have to do?
We're starting over. We are starting over. We're a terrible

(28:09):
team and we're starting over with bow Knicks. And if
he's no good, we're finishing the top three. We're gonna
draft Shrdor Sanders next year, and Dion's gonna be my
offensive coordinator, Like, you gave up a lot to get him,
and you'll be starting over.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Right.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
If Aaron Rodgers doesn't work out for the Jets this year,
what's gonna happen. They're gonna start over new GM, new
ed coach, knew everything new going forward. So for the
fact that the Browns have not only been able to
stay afloat but stay competitive and be a playoff caliber
team and put together a really good team, that is something, man,
that is something. And they've done it without their best

(28:42):
running back, who's been a who was a top five
running back in the NFL until he got hurt. That
is incredibly impressive. And I want to give the Browns
a nod for that, because, look, this story is really tough.
But the fact that they're not just starting over again, man,
you gotta be able to hang your hat on that
and say, hey, if we can just get a little
bit something, we can start winning and that's another reason
why the push to to to jamis Winston has to

(29:05):
come sooner, because it's, hey, we can't keep doing this, man,
we can't keep putting our seasons in jeopardy with no
play from our quarterback. Our defense is good enough, our
running game is good enough. We're gonna get our guy back.
We could throw that. We got to be able to
do this, So that's gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
Well, that's the curiosity right going forward with this this
squad is you know, how long can can you wait?
Because while you've been able to sign guys to extension
and keep a pretty good base of the players that
you've drafted and developed, there at some point a little
wanderlust and then some owners that look and say, hey,

(29:40):
we wanna we got to come over the top with
a bigger check. But for Andrew Barry, and of course
we've talked about Stefanski a ton what he was able
to do last year, right, he was Coach of the Year.
And then you look at Barry and the not always
first round because of the trade trade away, right, you're
finding value late and that's what they've become very adept at,

(30:03):
which is the absolute antithesis of everything the Cleveland Browns
organization was for so many years, right, it was always
the all right, let's watch what they do, all right,
that guy got a couple of games, he was okay,
And now he's out of the league and we can
go do that like you do with the jersey, the
famous Browns quarterback jersey and whatever else. But you know

(30:23):
the rest of their squad right now, you've got one
that can go win as long as you don't turn
the ball over give it away, which means Jameis Winston
will be an interesting experiment given his history of airmailing
a ball.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Yeah, but here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
At least they're gonna say, well, we'll get a three
hundred yard game with three interceptions instead of one hundred
and sixty five yard game with two interceptions.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
That's fair.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
No, No, we'll get three hundred yards, three touchdowns, three picks.
He'll keep both teams in the game. Well, but that's
the other day. He'll keep both teams.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
We're also now in the Like I always say, a
man with no conscience on the field, the Gardner Minshoes
of the world, it's like, I know what I am
in the league. At this point, let's go. So for
the Browns, they've got an opportunity. Look, the Steelers win
Week one, but there's not anybody really buying into that squad,
even though they're going to be two to zero after
this week, or should be in theory, even if it's

(31:13):
down the road. But the Ravens, okay, they're good. And
Cincinnati dropped week one. Now they always dropped the first
couple of weeks. They're terrible. I don't know why they
can't get out of the gates, but they're healthy. Ish
T Higgins does he play or does he not?

Speaker 3 (31:30):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
That may drag out a long time. Jamar Chase, is
he gonna round into shape or is he gonna just say,
you know what, I played a couple of games for you.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
I'm out of here.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Like, they still got a lot that they're dealing on.
So the opportunity for the Browns is certainly there, and
you can't squander it.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Exit out, bout of Fresco, exit swallow dope. So a
different way to go. I give the Browns a lot
of crime for being this a playoff team and a
playoff threat.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
With this, it should be starting over.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Who saluted tight Shirt's favorite team. I'll tell you I don't.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
To hear the Cleveland drop once. I can't call for it, man,
you just have to hit it.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
Come on, I enjoyed you speaking highly love. Why would
I interrupt that? Who's your head coach? Who's the head
coach Cleveland? Uh?

Speaker 3 (32:11):
Deshaun Watson? Right? Very good?

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Yes, let's try very nice. Yeah, Sam, Sam Retigliano is
your head coach? That's yeah, Samratigliano. I'm sure it's not
pay Manning, not Stanton Manning, really.

Speaker 9 (32:23):
Manning.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
It's not Eli Manning. It's not Copper Manning, and it's
not it's not Tarren Manning. And it's not amount of Manning's.
Oh it's Nansi amount of man Yeah. Who just told
did she just tell you? It was Kevin Stefanski. Nice job, Shay,
very nice.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Right, he gets the the.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
I was gonna say four ninety nine. Maybe you got
the guy down to five hours into parking now he
just said free ninety nine. Yeah, Ricky bought it for
me free.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Great. That's great.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
People to get fired from Fox? Whoa Alex Ty shirt?

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Oh? Ricky? All right?

Speaker 5 (33:53):
Jason, you said I'm doing the applications for Mike's replacement.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
If you fire me, who's doing that? As Montial?

Speaker 6 (33:59):
Do him?

Speaker 3 (34:00):
She's not even there. It doesn't matter, all right. I
think she's gonna throw them out and just sit in
my seat.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
So you could hire any of these qualified people that
are great or I'm here already. Okay, great, let's go go,
let's go streamline processes. We got an apology of sorts
today from Tyreek Hill. Look the video that came out
from Sunday, his arrest getting pulled over, and he addressed
it and talked about everything that transpired when he got

(34:32):
pulled over for speeding, through him getting put on the
sidewalk and then kicked to get down on the ground.
And look, we talked about this a few days ago
and we said, listen, Tyreek's got to own the beginning
of it. When the cops tell you to roll the
window down, you gotta roll the window down, right, You
have to obey the cops.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
Once they drag him and go physically into the car,
that's when everything kind of shifts.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Right, I think we can be intellectually honest in this
discussion to say there's two very distinct hearts to.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Oh yeah, look, Tyreek's got to own the beginning of it,
and the cops have to own the end. Of it
when he's in cuffs on the street. Okay, this is
when you been. This is when you don't need to
continue to be rate and hit him that that's what.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
Team made and everything else that was going on, all
the peripheral stuff.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
You don't need that it was done right.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
But here's Tyreek addressing it today, and he does take
responsibility for what happened at the same time talking about
how everything ended.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
Take a look.

Speaker 9 (35:26):
I could have been better, you know, I could have
let down my window, you know, in that instant. But
does that give them the right to literally beat the
dog out of me?

Speaker 3 (35:34):
Absolutely not now.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
And he went on and talked at length about it,
and that's a pretty good summation of what happened. I
could have been better, But does that give them the
right to beat me like a dog?

Speaker 3 (35:44):
No, it doesn't.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
And that's a pretty good that's a pretty good way
to own I could have done this. I should have
rolled my window down. But this is this is where
I'm at with this now, is that you know, you
know what I'd like him to apologize for is for Hey,
remember you were pulled over because you were doing over
sixty in a forty on a surface street. Right, This
wasn't Hey, you're a few miles over the speed limit

(36:06):
on the freeway. This is when people are out all
over the place and you're going over twenty miles over
the speed limit. You see people like that all the
time when you go you blank blank, like when you
called it, you see somebody driving in a neighborhood and
they're going way too.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
Fast and stop signs don't exist.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Yeah, like that's kind of what this was. Right, He
wasn't going one hundred hundred and twenty miles an hour.
He was going over twenty miles over the speed limit.
And that's a thing when you are driving on surface streets,
you're driving around the stadium where people are walking, there
is traffic everywhere.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
People are stepping off the curb. They're not we're not
too far moved from hence. Right.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
So that's the one thing I'd like to say is, oh, yeah,
I shouldn't have been messing around driving that fast.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
That's one thing.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
That's the reason why he got pulled over like police
saw him doing it, is that we got to get
this guy over because this is dangerous. If you're doing it,
you get pulled over. So let's just you know from that.
I like that he owned that part of it and said, hey, listen,
I could have done better. Does it police to right
to be me? But hey, at the same time, yeah,
I shouldn't have been driving like that.

Speaker 6 (37:06):
I was.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
I was reckless and that's the whole reason I got
pulled over. And yet that gets lost in this is
that that's the that's another real part of the genesis
of it. What could have what could happen to someone
when you're driving the.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
Now obviously the story that needs to be firmed up
and however that happens was that it was an approximation
of his speed, right that he wasn't clock doing sixty
or sixty two or whatever, it becomes an approximation. So
that's where you know, some would argue, it's like, well,
how could you tell, like, you're on a street, you've

(37:40):
got a flow of traffic, if that's your job and
you're normally on a radar gun, I think you can
estimate that the speed is over. Now, in a court
of law, you know, as we go whittle it down,
does that get you know, legislated down to something of
a minor offense. Whereas if it was clocked as twenty
miles an hour over the speed limit in that space. Yeah,

(38:03):
that's actually a pretty big deal, right, Like they start
to get the multiplier effect, so recognizing, you know, the
potential dangers there in a crowded environment, because look how
quickly people descended to be able to chronicle every minute
and every second of that altercation. So all of that
to say, like it did two wrongs in this and

(38:28):
certainly for the police officers will be a big investigation.
We did see the initial backing of the officers from
the local police force. We'll see how much changes in
the investigation now that you've got full body camera video
and everything else. But for Tyreek Hill, the fact that
he said anything at all and owned up to part

(38:51):
of it, give him credit for that. Yeah, and those
that wanted to use it as an excuse to bring
up everything else Tyreek Hill's done.

Speaker 3 (38:58):
That's got nothing to do with this case.

Speaker 4 (38:59):
That's this. We cannot like the guy for the guy.
It's not this this particular instance.
