Hey man, Yeah, Bill's putting the finishing touches on a
dominant win over the Dolphins. Thirty one to ten is
the scorel of more in this game coming up in
a few minutes, but I want to get to the
next episode of trolling from the NFL this week, the
biggest game this week, and we got a great troll
job today by one of the players. But no, it's

(01:13):
not good. I said big game. I said big game. Sorry,
oh you kind of Cleveland. That game may not see
more than ten points total. That's the worst game on
the schedule. Come on, But I need to say this.
And and Alex Tischer, Brianna, I need your I need
you come in here because we're having an intervention for
Mike Carmen. You want me in the studio? No, no, no,
right now, it's beyond the airy. We're having an intervention

(01:34):
from Mike car Because when when when when you commit
a a sports crime like you have tonight. I I
don't know that you're aware of sports. I need to
tell you yes, because a couple of things. First of all,
you're wearing sunglasses in the studio there prescription.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
I forgot my regular glasses you're wearing you're wearing, so
I have to elective mirror sunglasses in the student How
do you look in my mirror and sun glass?

Speaker 1 (02:02):
I don't know. I feel like, hey, I'm only here
hanging out man that I'm gonna leave. I'm only in
for a few minutes. I'm gonna go.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
I'll give you the four hours. But at eleven o'clock.
I'm out of here.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
But that's not as that's not a colorless jacket the bat.
It's not as important as as as what I'm going
to say next is you have you have worn into
work tonight a Chicago White Sox hate, a Northwestern Wildcats
T shirt, and a Chicago Bears pair of shorts.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
No, no, they're just regular Bears colors. Colors, but they're not
bear short. Those are bear short.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Those are bear You have a White Sox hat, you
have a Northwestern shirt, and you have bear shorts. This
is one of not this is one of the biggest
sports crimes you could possibly have sports because you Rob mclaney.
You can't wear all your teams at once, Tyser who
knows nothing about sports, Brianna who only wears Phoenix Sun's gear,
and and that's it.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Uh you got been known to wear a Saint something
now and again.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Oh yes that's right, Saints fan who that?

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (03:03):
You guys, you guys wi me on this for Harmon.
You need you need to. I mean he's only going
to listen to me a little bit. He's got to
listen to you guys.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
Too, Harmon. I'm gonna say this because I love you. Yeah,
go ahead, you ready, this is a safe place.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
I look great.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
We care about you. Yeah, and you are loved no
matter what you wear. I will still love you.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Thanks, buddy.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
And I like the way you dress because.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
You don't care, which means I respect the fact you
just live.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
No, it's cool.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I like that. I think that was a backhanded common
with a sled hammer, kind of like Thord does when
he's spinning.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
And No, I'm saying, because Jason's making this sound like
a big deal, I don't think it is.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
So I'm saying, you don't.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Care as a man who walks in here, mister Smith
and wears the shirt without sleeves, yeah, trying to tell
me about how much work he's putting it in.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
The look is timeless because I've been wearing the same
types of clothes since I was like seventeen, running pants,
sweats T shirt, sweatshirt, baseball hat never goes out of side.
You look at pictures of me from when I was
twenty too, obviously I looked different, but oh I was
a pretty sharp U sweatshirt. The only reason you know
it's it's any age because like the the the patterns
of the sweats Oh that's a ninety sweatshirt. That's an

(04:14):
eighty sweatshirt. Oh that's an eighties I mean, I look timeless.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Man.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
You would say he's what I age, like Paul Rudd.
It's like I only know because he's got less hair
and and and the logos on his on his clothes.
He's a little bit different.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Rihanna, you want to you want to tackle that for him?

Speaker 6 (04:30):
You know what, I just want to say. I'm all
about themes. I love outfits with themes. Like you guys know, Chicago,
it's a theme. It's a theme. So like you know,
I like, I've worn my like sweaters and leggings. And
you always say, like, oh, dressed in black. We do
the Johnny Cash joke, right do we not?

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yeah? Because you really you dressed in blackleg all the time?

Speaker 3 (04:47):
I really do. But that's a theme, right.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
I'm sure to call you a black widow from now.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
But that's a theme. So I respect to themes. So
minus the sunglasses, I don't know. I'm still trying to
adjust to that.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Right, I'm celebrating me. That's that's OK.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
But I love the outfit.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
I'm okay with the outfit.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
You got you got and see this is why both
you can't know you can't mix teams. You can't. You can't.

Speaker 6 (05:08):
That's one of the biggest Does that mean anything, It.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Doesn't matter, it's it's it's I don't know what I
want to celebrate, So I'm just gonna wear everything in
my closet at once. This is like when Joey put
on all of Chandler's clothes and started doing lunges in him.
You can't. You got to pick one team, and that's
you go with.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
See, I thought you were gonna one at least you're
wearing under.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
One one team at a time. Now, I don't know.
I mean, maybe maybe you're wearing Chicago Blackhawks underwear.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
I don't know. Maybe you are never can tell. Maybe
you're wearing I'm a man of surprise.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Maybe you're wearing Chicago Fire socks. I don't know, Chicago Fire.
I like that.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Maybe maybe some sky something or another.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Pictures of Angel Reese and Patrick Kane on on. Any
clothes you got there, be good. You have to go,
ready to go?

Speaker 3 (05:53):
There were you really emotioning that I had a picture
of Angel The.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Angel rees Reese's peanut butter cups is you go, mister Chicago. I, mister,
I would really like some reciss product right now.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
I have, mister Chicago. Hey, you know what, we've got
more Chicago representation in the larger box family of late.
So maybe it's being Parkins against the world. You don't
know that.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Well and and and look and just to to bring
it full circle, mister Chicago, Mitchell Trubisky is in the
games Gus right now for the final couple. He's gonna
get to do the kneel down. But MITCHI matchie, let's
go uh so again, we'll have more in this game
coming up in a few minutes, just outside of two
minutes to go. Mitchell Trubisky is in the game for
the Bills. They're running the football. It's going to be

(06:38):
a very short time until the end, and we're breaking
down the Bills and they're big win over my end.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
You know what, though, you got something right and everything
you got wrong. My outfit, your prediction of the game
and how it would go, the under is gonna hit
unless something crazy happened. So at least got that right. Yeah,
it took a lot of strange circumstances and are weey
crap ass I want to look out there because I
picked the Dolphins, but I did take I did say

(07:03):
I'm huge Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
We're gonna beat them by at least ten I correct,
but I but I did say my better bet was
the under. When everybody loved the over. I love the
under on this. So that's gonna come through. So I
feel pretty good about it.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Edo to a trying to take on it. I don't
even think he was a tackler at that point. Damar Hamlin.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Meanwhile, we want to talk about trolling and one of
the biggest games this week in the NFL. We have
the Chiefs and the Bengals, and the Bengals always seem
to play the Chiefs really well. The one the big
playoff game there a couple of years ago, obviously, and
you would think that coming off a very demoralizing loss
to the non Bill Belichick led Jacoby Brissett led New

(07:43):
England Patriots, you wouldn't do a lot of talking. But
oh no, no, no, no, the Bengals have decided, oh no,
we're ready to talk going into this game in Kansas City.
Jamar Chase, after last week not happy didn't get the
ball a lot said today the Bengals are the team
to beat in the AFE. Now that's pretty good, but
I see you won. Jamar Chase comment.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
I mean what is he gonna say?

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Though? And I raise you one. Cam Taylor brit comment,
Oh good defensive back. Talking about Xavier Worthy. What a
pretty nice debut for the Chiefs last week. His speed
on display, a big touchdown run to start the game, just.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
A couple of targets, but made the most of his
offense in the game exactly.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Cam Taylor Britt not the biggest fan of Xavier Worthy
and wanted to put his talents into perspective. String to
the Chase offense, be prepared for strange.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
That's about it.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
He can run straight, run jet sweeps, and just run straight.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
We do too much owe, so.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
That's about it.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
I feel like you put your hands on him. He's
only one hundred something founds, so you put.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
Hands on you and stop the speed. So badge to
get your hands on it. He can run.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Straight, he can run jet sweeps and not saying he's
one hundred and say I think he's one hundred and
seventy pounds. You put your hands on him, you're gonna
stop that speed.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
I'm just kidding say and yes in theory. In theory,
he may have a point. Here's the problem. You are
now gonna get worked by Andy Reid because he's gonna
find a way to iso you yeah, and get Xavier
worthy of the ball.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah. However, however, have a big however here because I'm
gonna zig you think I'm gonna zeg. I love that.
This is how the Bengals are going into this game.
Because nobody goes into games against the Chiefs and outwardly
thumps their chest and says We're coming in there to
kick your ass. Everybody is reverential about the Chiefs and

(09:33):
you're concerned about Mahomes or what are we going to do?
But the Bengals have had success against them. This has
been their attitude in every game, right, go back to Burrow,
see you Sunday at Boroughhead, all games at Boroughhead, I
as much as I. Oh no, no like burrough Head
more see all in Burrow. And uh, this is how
the the Bengals come in and attack the Chiefs. And

(09:56):
it's no wonder why do the Chiefs have so much
trouble with the Bengals. And now it's obviously there's their scheme.
To talk about in their's court, and there's knowing personnel
and being a better versus a worst matchup. But they're
the only team that comes into the game against the
Chiefs talking this kind of smack, standing up saying we're
gonna come punch you in the mouth. We're the team
to beat. Xavier Worthy can only run straight. They know

(10:16):
what they're doing in that Chief's locker room. And you
got my home saying, yeah, we heard everything I said.

Speaker 7 (10:20):
We're gonna make sure we're gonna I mean, I gotta
make sure everything is good. I gotta make sure that
the Jackson's not done anything the last couple of days,
and Brittany's not done anything the last couple of days.
My Dad's not done anything. But once I gotta take
care of that. Everything well, I'm gonna I'm gonna remember that.
I remember that, and we're gonna see what we can
do on this weekend. Uh yeah, of course you're gonna
get that from the from the Chiefs. But the Bengals
always back it up. It's always close. They know how

(10:42):
to beat them. If more teams would play the Chiefs
that way, I think they're their fortunes would change a
little bit. Yes, you have to back it up and
strut it out on the field one hundred percent, But
nobody else goes in with that kind of attitude.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Nobody else goes in with, Yeah, I don't care where,
I don't care what. We're coming into your house. We're
gonna come kick your ass. And I love that about
the bet, especially showing all of this in the face
of a horrendous defeat, like the fact they're still talking
this much smack after the most maybe the most embarrassing
loss of Week one, because look, the Panthers sucking. Surprise
a lot of people that bad, but it's not as
surprising as Man, you just lost the Patriots.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
But here's the thing, and here's the thing with the Bengals.
If they actually won this game, I'd be shocked. They're
one in ten in the first two weeks of a
season under Zach Taylor.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
They don't start well, right.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Burrows, usually banged up, hasn't taken a lot of reps
all of that, and so September, for lack of a
better comparison, has been along what the Patriots did. Purposefully,
the Bengals have kind of backed into in terms of
ramping into a season and eventually finding your stride and

(11:49):
getting hot late to where you give the Kansas City
Chiefs fits come playoff time and when we get to January.
Right now, it's a lot of questions though Jamar Chase,
people question him all across the board. T Higgins having
to respond to questions, how hurt are you? Are you hurt?
Because the timing of injuries when you know he's unhappy

(12:10):
about playing on the franchise tag that.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Joe Burrow being asked, what's wrong with your wrist? Dude,
why did you pick up that water bottle? So weird?
What are you talking about? Yeah, something's wrong with your wrist,
and something is wrong with his wrist. But I mean
this is where.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
They But we all watched the game water bottle aside,
we watched how he was holding them football there like
there's something there and it's still there.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Talking this much smack going into this game.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Again the lug.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
I mean, you know we're seeing on the college level
right for the Battle of Colorado later this week as well.
You know, we should have murdered them last year and
all this stuff talking about getting Instagram likes and followers
and everything else. This is what football is supposed to be, right.
It's when we celebrated what the NBA once was, and
when guys start doing smack talking, we get excitable about it.

(12:57):
The w NBA. When we get a little bit of
chirping back fourth, it resonates because this is good. It's
good for business, rivalries, anger, victoryol, all of that stuff.
Here it's week two of the season. Normally it's kind
of quiet. I like this, let's started early. We don't
have to wait till December. We're all lathered up, we're

(13:17):
ready to go. So yeah, hopefully the players bring it
to the table this weekend. I mean, it's a great
looking matchup. I'd rather see it October fifteenth or so,
when you know the Bengals are playing maybe some real football.
Uh and Zach Taylor figures it out. But hey, this
is what we got.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
But I'm telling you, if more teams attack the Chiefs
this way, would go into games like this mentally, I'll
tell you I think you'd see the Chiefs take a
few more else.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
Oh, you don't have Burrow. You know, you don't have
a Burrow dressed like Eminem running around your sidelines.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
All in burrow head, exit out a bout of Fresca

Speaker 2 (15:33):
It is over.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
He's not done. It is over in Miami where the
Bills did it. They beat the Dolphins thirty one to ten,
a dominant physical effort by the Bills. The big question
what now with Twatungueova Lowe who left tonight's game with
the concussion, joining us now on the hotline nobody better

(15:57):
break it all down NFL On Fox's own Jayla, who
we all have a lot in common with Jay Glazer.
We all woke up this morning here in southern California
to a big ass earthquake. Jay, how you doing man?

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Man? It was it was a episode. It was a
block away for my house. Who walk up. There's literally
one block away kenon June. We finally gonna give my
address out, but it was one block away and it
was something like seven thirty more will it the house? Man?
It started shaking like crazy, and and then we heard

(16:32):
things like fall up from break well. My wife was
laying in bed and like you get woken up because
she just jumped up to like running for covered out
of grab r and bring it back because I didn't
know what was broken in the house. Luckily, things that
that fellow was just pictures and none of them smashed
it one not for a good thirty thirty seconds. And
then and then we probably had about five or six

(16:53):
you know, after shocks. After that. It was pretty wild.
It was definitely wild.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Oh yeah, no, and then you're up, like as much
as you want to go back to I'm up now,
I'm stuff that one.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
And then you know, here's what I love to look.
I'm a New York right, so first time I had
to repreas you know, at her in LA. But then
you're watching the news and people are like impairentive or like,
I tweeted it just to make sure it is okay,
you know, and people are like, oh, that's nothing five
point two. Please, It's like you're earthquake shaming me. And

(17:24):
then like people on the news like, hey, uh, you know,
it was a really a four point seven. It wasn't
a five point two, and you know, a fast the
case and this is this like, do tell us how
we feel? Like, you know, it's like, hey, you're something
fall up in your house and may have well it
may have fallen off in our house. There's just it's

(17:44):
pretty funny how people people react in LA. And again,
I'm a New Yorker, so a one point zero for
me is like, oh damn, you take something from LA.
You bring them New York and you see a couple
of rats, they'll crap themselves. I'm okay with it, all right.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Well, hey, clearly the earthquake hit Miami tonight in the
form of the Buffalo Bills. As they come into this game,
maybe things are okay for them. Without Stefan Diggs, they
were physical. James Cook was really good, like all of
a sudden, the Buffalo Bills look like they might be okay, Jay,
what you know, what what did you see with this?

Speaker 4 (18:17):
I thought they're gonna be like, oh along, and their
defense always been strong, and anytime you got a quarterback
like Josh Allen, you're going to be okay. It doesn't
you know. It's like, look, they're looking the Chiefs. They
lost Tyreek Hill and people said, oh my god, they're
gonna lose a weapon like that. And you know, a
guy's name the top ranked player in the league this
year on an NFL network. But obviously they've won two
Super Bowls without them. So it's it's more it's a

(18:38):
quarterback driven league, it's not a receiver driven league. And
a guy like Josh Allen, he is a stud and
as long as they have him, they're always going to
be in it. But you know, look, I don't overreact
or underreact to anything early on the season. Really, it's like, man,
it takes you know, a lot of people don't practice
the preseason. It takes a while to get going. But

(19:00):
they are definitely showing they're clicking a lot earlier. And
I thought, you know, a lot of other teams are there.
They were really they're looking good and they just and
I think what they needed was confidence and they're building
it early.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Conversely, Jay, now we all you know, have the hold
our breath moment as to a tongue of Bailoa has
to leave the field looked in good spirits as he
met with his teammates. But once again we're having discussions
and seeing the video playbacks of his previous concussions.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Yeah, listen, I first of it's tough, no matter what, right,
it's tough, and you go on, you want to make
a play. You understand it. Whenever you see a guy
with that much, you know, edd trauma, you get concerned
about it. And yeah, I know, you see him and

(19:48):
you're okay, he's walking around, he's up. But it doesn't
it doesn't work by time I've got knocked out. The
foxy mask guy that was had a two month suspension
of front worth not gonna ever have. But I was
up immediately after doing an interview right there in the ring,
and I had no idea what was going on, and I
kind of kind of did, but then it sinks in
after and so I don't want to like medically say

(20:11):
oh he's great here, it's not great. That was a
tough one. It was a tough one to see. It's
a tough one to watch when his arm locked up. Immediately,
I'm my coach more and a half. Oh, he's out,
he's cussed. And I think with a guy with a
history like this, you do. And I said, it's week two.
Whenever it's weak to a weak twenty doesn't matter. You
want to make sure first and foremost the player is

(20:33):
gonna be right if the humans can be.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
A right jay, just to make sure not to go Obviously,
we have to wait and see what the diagnosis is
going forward. But going back when you were there, did
did the Dolphins like was this a thing?

Speaker 4 (20:45):
Like?

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Did they Is that like in the back of the
minds Okay, hey two has got the concussion? Is that
is that top of mind thing for them that we
have to watch out for that? Or is that, hey,
we just want to go play football.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
Well no, I mean, look, when you go out there
in field, you have to look like they were going
on the fields and look, it was a situation where
man Tua have to know better, like I gonna fly,
I gotta protect myself. You have to protect yourself, especially
when you've had these situations when you have worked on
it in the path, you've got to man, you've got
to protect yourself. You have to do something now. I'm
never gonna I want to make it clear, I'm not

(21:17):
criticizing him because when if dude has reckless abandon for
his body, I got respect for him. I do like,
I get it. You know, there's I always say there's
honor in flint. There's honor in fighting hurt. And something
I've always preached to our guys, he's honor in fighting hurt.
But it is our responsibility to to make sure that
we are like, man, you gotta you gotta protect yourself,

(21:39):
especially in a situation like that. But you know, it's
interesting too because there's a guy also that they looked
at for a long contract extension and you're like, man,
you're you're in a tough situation in a way because
you do you see the tellent, you see the leadership,
you see what he's turned into. But he's one hit
away from saying, oh my gosh, like what now, and

(21:59):
that is guaranteed. So it's a really interesting situation. I
thought it was. I thought the human side of the
Dolphins to believe him as shown. After all, that was fantastic.
I thought the business side of dolphins, I don't know
the right answer there because when you are talking about

(22:20):
the brain, there's no right here. I like that, man.
It's not like, hey, if you do a plus feed, equal.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
C when you deal with the brain one hundred percent.
Jay Glazer with us, Jason Smith Show with He with Me,
Mike Carmon here Fox Sports Radio. You see j of course,
legendary Hall of Fame broadcaster the NFL Fox uh NFL
on Fox Bawlers, founder of MVP and Unbreakable Performance, and
of course his his podcast Empire as well at Jay

(22:48):
Glazer where you find him in the Twitter verse. Uh, Jay,
you know you you tight. In the world of Pittsburgh,
it became the Boswell era. As much as we wanted
to talk Russell Wilson justin fields, it became about the
kicker and the defense seems as so long as.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
The defense there where you talking about?

Speaker 3 (23:05):
But that's just it. So long as t J watts
up there in wreaking hav It, it's chaos.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
That was Mike Tomlin was the Winnings You'll ever have
you kidding me? That was? That was Mike key all
the way. That couldn't be more of a Steelers win
right there, and look, I I and that's what the
Steelers are. The Steelers have. I will say this. Whenever

(23:31):
I go on my training camp tour, everybody asked me, Hey,
who looked good? Who? I don't know? Who looks I'm
there for a day and I'm day drinking half the time.
I know, I admit it, okay, but what I can't
understand is cultures, right, I can pick up cultures. So
the one thing I did tell people is when I

(23:51):
went around and they said, who looks shooting? Because I
also here's the other thing. When you're a training camp, right,
I don't know what you're working on. But at least I, oh,
I don't know. So when used see other media repour
or six, this guy had a bad day. This guy
had a bad day in practice. Man, Well, we're getting
somebody ready for a fight and works fard and we're
doing like if we have a boxer and we're going
to fight a wrestler, we've got to do a bunch

(24:13):
of wrestling stuff. He could look awful for a laws,
you look terrible until he picked it up, right, So
same thing there I don't know what you're working on,
so I don't know who really looks good performance lives
and practices that maybe we're working on new tools or
new game plans. I don't know, but I can tell culture.
And the one thing I told everybody, as I can't

(24:33):
tour around it up, the two cultures are violence and
as that little feel where the Steelers and the Ravens
they have cultures of violence. I love that, and that
is what the Steelers have always kind of gotten by off,
so you know, they don't need a guy to go
out there and play like Pat Boon to make sure
that they're always winning. They have this culture violence that

(24:57):
makes you hate playing the Steelers, and you saw it
out on the other day with you know, even a
backup quarterback, we're still going to have no learning curve.
But by the way, I will tell you this to
Justin Fields, Arthur Smith and might Com will love them
and love them. They do think there's something there for
quarterback in the future.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
All right, Jay, let's end here. Let's you know, being
in New York, I got to ask you about the
Jets coming off the loss on Monday night. Aaron Rodgers
looked as you see I feel okay because Aaron Rodgers
looked all right, and whatever the Jets do this year
is going to be on his shoulders. How did you
feel after seeing him? Where they're at, everything you've seen
going there, visiting what was about?

Speaker 4 (25:33):
I think everything that could have gone wrong went wrong
to them that day. Their personnel is way like Joe
Douglass put together really good personnel over there. Defensively, they're
a way better team than that. For whatever reason, their
best players just double that day and it was just
it was like the imperfect storm. I think the Jets
didn't show who they really are. I do think it's

(25:54):
very very correctable, because you do when you just look
at the personnel. Person hell fantastic from quarterback to running back,
to receivers to cornerback to pass for us the line.
I mean, they're fantastic, But I just thought that, man,
they sometimes you show up kind of like Miami today,

(26:16):
right but even before who got hurt, just nothing was
going right and their best players form performing the way
they're supposed to, and they know there's gonna be better
from those guys. I think that's for the Jets are.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
He's on Twitter at Jay Glazer that is at Jay Glazer.
Check them out there as well as Hey, you did
Jerry Ferrara's podcast you talked about Brady did a lot
of fun stuff there.

Speaker 7 (26:39):
I saw Gerry Ferrara and Matt Loner My guys, all right, Jay,
I trained Gerry Ferrara.

Speaker 4 (26:48):
He's the first actor ever trained in Boxton helped them. Uh,
he was gonna play Artur guy in a movie like
NFL Player Ever Trade. So there we go.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Wow, Hey, shure it up. That's your next podcast. They
fight on your podcast. They fight each other. Let's go
that will come do play by play. That's the next
Jay Laser podcast. Culture of Violence with Jay Laser. And
that's what it is. People, he knows. Take it easy, buddy,

(27:28):
We'll talk to you next week.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Be good, Jay, Next Jay. He summarized, He summarized the
Steelers perfectly. Now, right like that, and as we've been
talking about it, like, so long as your your defense
is right and you don't turn the ball over, you're
gonna be in games. And that's exactly what they did
in week one and what they're banking on.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
No, but how about the big thing, Hey, Mike Tomlin,
they love justin fields.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
There now you right, Justin Heathels, like you said, a
play that's where he's loved. Yeah, but he's very positive
about it, like from day one he got in there,
and from all reports and then he confirms it is
that there's been kind of like the big hug the
entire time, as opposed to whatever it was in Chicago,

(28:16):
like the hey, let's learn, let's grab the playbook, let's
grab the personnel packages, and let's figure this out. Whereas
with the Bears that always seem like a all right,
let's just keep going where we are. We're not going
to change and adapt styles as most good coaches would do. Sorry,
Bears fans, you know exactly what I'm talking about is

(28:38):
that you adapt to what your guy can do, as
opposed to saying this is the way I like to
run an offense. And Arthur Smith and company, at least
through week one and from all reports through the off season,
this is a guy that they're trying to figure out,
all right, what is it that you do well and
how do we maximize it?

Speaker 1 (28:56):
That's a big deal. And look we said it if
Justin Fields win this week, and he should because you know,
you know, it's a good Spot'y Boswell kick seven eight
field goals. The defense should terrorize he wins this week.
You can't. You're gonna make a quarterback change it to
and oh, I mean this is it like that if
Russell Wilson can't somehow get cleared and talk his way
into the lineup, Like you're looking at the end of

(29:17):
Russell Wilson's a starting quarterback barring injury to Justin Fields, Like,
you don't go you know, you're two and oh, you
do not do that. You're not going back. And it's
when when everybody else in your divisions having problems, it's well,
we're two and O, Why why are we gonna do this?
Why are we gonna go back when we have the
younger quarterback that we have to see anyway, Well, we're
going forward with Justin Fields.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
Well that's just it, right. The only other team that
looked reasonably good was Baltimore, and they missed, you know,
tiptoeing through the tulips and a couple of plays that
went awry and broken coverages in the secondary. As we
discussed at nauseum after that Thursday Night opener, Oh dude,
teams are potentially in peril here. Cincinnati's got a lot
of stuff swirling. Whether you think Joe Burrows the guy

(29:56):
to pull him out of it and all is gonna
be right with the world. Fine, I'll wait and see it.
As for Cleveland, good.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Luck exit out about a Fresco exit swollen down the
Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Carmon. Speaking
of good luck, let's talk to Steve to Seger. Yeah,
he always brings you good luck. None of the teams
vying for the wild card of the National League lost today.
That's all good news.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
He has he's a damn rabbits point.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
And the rest in what's trending or played seemingly.

Speaker 9 (30:23):
But we do have Late Night Baseball and the update
on Kumar Rocker in his Major league debut for the
Texas Rangers tonight, back from Tommy John surgery. Four innings,
just one run, allowed, seven strikeouts, but the Rangers are
now losing four to two at Seattle in the top
of the seventh inning. Brewers up one nothing at San
Francisco bottom of the seventh. And we have two college

(30:44):
football scores for you. Yes, Arizona State came back to
win at Texas State thirty one to twenty eight.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
I saw the end of that game. Scott Bakula through
an interception and Texas State turned the ball over. Sindbad
could have fallen on a fumble in the final minute.
He could not get it and so Arizona State was
able to run the clock out.

Speaker 9 (31:05):
Sad thing as they could have tied the game late,
but Kathy Ireland missed a field goal.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
Oh, I was well and hey, and without your coach
Robert Loja having to coach the game because Hector Alszanda
was in the hospital. Robert after Oliver rob.

Speaker 9 (31:19):
Recall the dame of that movie that we were roughness come.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
That goes back a look, guys, I don't feel so good.
I think I swallowed a finger.

Speaker 9 (31:30):
The other college game tonight, South Alabama defeated Northwestern State.
The score was twenty four to ten after the first
quarter final score eighty seven to ten. South Alabama as
a team thirty four carries three hundred and sixty three
yards rushing, so over ten yards per carry.

Speaker 1 (31:48):
Back to you, thank you, Steve. I appreciated my friend
the Jason Smith Show with my best friend Mike Harmon,
Cathy Ireland, mister Field, I'm so gonna.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
Put that out Medillo's Baby, Let's go? Can we buy
that on demand? To play that? Now I need a
football movie. Let's go with.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Four seconds left to let the Sun Devil survive?

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Hello?

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Uh coming up? And he didn't proceed.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
How about a big bold prediction for the rest of
the season in the NFL coming off the Bills Dolphins game?
How about that?

Speaker 3 (32:23):
Oh, let's go bull?

Speaker 1 (32:25):
You know whoa Oh wait? Oh no, I could buy that.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Are you gonna match my Super Bowl pick up?

Speaker 4 (32:30):
There?

Speaker 6 (32:30):
Now?

Speaker 3 (32:30):
By that?

Speaker 1 (32:31):
I don't know what your super Bowl? Why you bring
up seth to Nobody knows you're talking about?

Speaker 3 (32:35):
You know, I don't know, but no one else knows.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
I know, no one else knows. We're gonna do that.
Coming up next, Jason and Mike Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific, Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
The Jason Smith Show with My best friend Mike Harmon,
I'm an ass Man, Live Fromthtirack dot Com Studios. A
huge win for the Buffalo Bills tonight. They beat up
on the Dolphins thirty one to ten. It is a
not one, not two, but three touchdown night for James Cook,
punctuated with this forty nine yard touchdown off a nice

(33:17):
little swing pass from Josh Allen late in the first half.
Allen back to pass, He's looking for James Cook. Oh
my goodness, durris Cooki's wide open down to the thirty,
the twenty the ten. He is the end zone and
off goes to Cook and'll work through the middle, through
a hole and into the secondary.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Thirty twenty five twenty ten.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Five flips into the end zone for the touchdown, forty
nine yards for James Cook, his third touchdown of the game.
Bill's radio network on the call, seventy eight yards rushing
for him.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
Yeah, remember that was a rush.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
That was a rush.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
The way you set it up, folks are like, I
want my other Josh Allen touchdown was I was waving
the tightsher to get ready to play the h one
and a half, so I didn't.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Get there were things going on there. But look, but
here's Cook tonight right, seventy eight yards rushing. A couple
of touchdowns didn't really play a lot in the fourth
nuarter didn't need to caught one past seventeen yards. That
was a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Ray Davies saw of it. I mean Ray Davis, Ray.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Davies really.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
Hello la lo Yeah, nine carries twenty nine yards for him,
la la lo lo. Josh Allen only had two carries
for two yards. Didn't need to put that left hand
and peril No, and look a toothless Miami defense today.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
But look, but let me give you a Bowl prediction
for the rest of the season.

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
I don't think anybody really understands like what kind of
great year James Cook had last year, But I will
tell you this, and again, I don't know how bold
this is. I think this is going to happen. I'm
pretty sure it's going to happen, just because of where
he is and where everybody else is. Don't be surprised
when James Cook has the best season of any running

(34:57):
back in the NFL this year, say it sure, okay,
Becau number one, he gets the bell cow work right.
There's not a lot of guys to get bell cow
work right?

Speaker 4 (35:06):
Is right, right?

Speaker 1 (35:07):
But how many how many snaps are you gonna get?
When moster gets healthy? They got other guys they're bringing in.
There's other guys who are really good. Right, is Kien
Williams gonna stay healthy already? Christian McCaffrey is not healthy.
Who knows when he's going to play. But James Cook
gets the carries. He's a bell cow. He also catches
passes out of the backfield, right, so he's a full
service guy. He only comes out when he needs a
breath and then they put him back in and he

(35:29):
and with the way the Bills offense is designed this year,
it's gonna be a lot more Josh Allen James Cook
oriented than it was Josh Allen throwing the footballs to
Fon Diggs. Now, with Digs being gone, they've now realized, okay,
maybe this is our way to do it, kind of
like a Raven's way where we have a quarterback and
Josh Allen's a little bit better thrower of the football

(35:50):
than Lamar Jackson. Not quite the scrambler, but still he's
able to run really, really effectively. When you have a
really terrific running back, that opens up everything. And you
saw the way they were able to win tonight. The
offensive line look terrific. James Cook is going to get
the opportunity and when you look at what the other
players around the league are going to be splitting time.
Not being belcows, James Cook is going to wind up

(36:11):
being the number one running back in the NFL this year.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
I think there's a lot of opportunity here. Certainly as
a receiver out of the backfield, his role is going
to be huge. Like we talked about it for fantasy
purposes on the I Watch Flex podcast. You know, I'm
a James Cook backer ado with Josh Allen and the
Bills in general. You've called me a homer for them,
even though I'm not from Buffalo and other than wanting

(36:36):
to throw people through tables every once in a while,
like I'm a wweat star, you know, there's not a
lot of relations, but it's the same mentality if they
still want to grind where they can. Right we're talking
with Jay Glazer about the Steelers. Bills still want to
have some of that identity. Hell, it's embodied in Josh
Allen and the way he throws his body around for sure,
But as a runner receiver and as they work on

(36:58):
this receiving corps, you get to see a lot more
from the dual tight ends. You're gonna see Khalil Shakur,
whose efficiency with Alan continues. But yeah, James Cook's gonna
be a part of it. The other guy I'd put
up there, and obviously Week one tough matchup for him
is your guy. I don't love the offensive line, but
I don't need to when I got a guy that
fast that if he can break con dam it, you

(37:19):
ain't catching him. And also a guy that's gonna catch
a bunch of balls out of the backfield. So I'll
take Breece Hall, but one one A would not be shocked,
I see. And the thing is, I love Breece Hall
would be in my top three as well. But just
with Rogers, you know they're gonna fall in love with
throwing the football way more than need to run it,
and it's gonna be raw when they meet a big play.
It's gonna be Rogers on third down throwing maybe, and

(37:40):
maybe it's gonna be a big year for Breese Hall,
but they're gonna default to him through it. But the
thing with Rogers is if the downfield's working, think about
how much more dangerous Breece Hall is. He doesn't need
to touch the ball twenty times to make Hay I.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
You know what, I hope you're right. I hope I'm wrong.
I'm not, but I hope you're right.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
You're gonna be wrong that it's a lot of allan
coming up.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
Okay, I hope you're not right about that. Coming up Next,
we get back to the Big two of injury. This
is Fox Sports Radio.
