We've got all the experience in the world. This is
I want your Flex with Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon.

your lineups, from position rankings.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
To starts and sins.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
The guys help you make those hard decisions. And now
let's get your flexide. Here's Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Hey, welcome in. It's another edition. I want your Flex.
Getting ready for the full, locked and loaded Week ten
of your National Football League. Reminder, as we get into
the schedule watching of it all, we've got four teams
on buys. Mike Harmin alongside he and Roddy are executive producer.
Dam Byer a bit under the weather. He has sent
along his selections and his contributions in terms of names teams,

(01:00):
the good, the Bad, the Ugly, the Oasis, pick all
of that. Dan's been under the weather. He doesn't really
have much of a voice at the moment, so I've
required bed rest. I think we sent him a giant
pot of hot lemonade and well ample decongestant drugs.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
But we hope he gets well soon.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Let's it get him back in. As we get ready
for week eleven in the stretch run all the usual
accouterments as we go through the rankings, the hot plays,
Cold Soares, Ian streaming defenses, the Oasis song, the Survivor pick,
you name it. We've got it all locked and loaded.
As we go through at Ian Roddy underscore for me.

(01:39):
You want to send get well wishes to Dan at
Dan Byron Fox find me over at Swollen Dome and
Thursday night, we got ourselves in fantasting finish. First half
a bit boring, you know, defensive struggle which is great,
but not what we anticipated as the Bengals and Ravens
just a few weeks ago had given us an instant

(02:01):
classic of instant offense time and time again. And when
it goes into the fourteen to seven, it's a board.
One of the touchdowns coming after I don't know the
holding call on a fourth down play, which is which
is tough and spotty because later on you don't get

(02:23):
that call right.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
It's every game. It's every game at this point where
there's just stupid, stupid Reugh calls that you can point to.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
But we are bookend right where you call it early,
where it looks like the Ravens have made a stop
on a fourth down after a great drive from Cincinnati.
Instead it ends up being a Chase Brown touchdown. Chase
Brown owners, thank the referees because they gave you a gift,
because while he did have nine catches for fifty two yards,
finishes with forty two on the ground and that touchdown.

(02:53):
But for a while, the rushing yards weren't there for
you in the touchdown was the saver. Eventually in PPR leagues,
you got what you needed to. But the second half
just opens up floodgates left and right. We get big
time performances. Obviously me being the Northwestern guy who's always
got some bit of purple on him, very excited for

(03:14):
the uniforms being worn by the Ravens on Thursday night.
But he in sixty nine total points, a two point
conversion that fails down the stretch. But all of our
stars found their way into the end zone to give
us some pretty damn big moments as this game wore on.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Oh yeah, I have Jamar Chase and Joe Burrow in
one league, and they combined to give me about ninety
fantasy points. It was like eighty nine points something, which
is just like there are some weeks I don't even
put that that much up in total of my entire
Oh absolutely, so yeah, if I don't win this week
in that league, then then I might need to just
just concede from fantasy football because that's bad.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Well, and that's the thing. Well, I mean, look, if
the fantasy gods are against you, sometimes they are. I
had a year several years back and have to research
exactly when it was, but finished with one of the
highest point totals for the year. I didn't win a game.
I didn't win a game. I think I was third
highest scoring team. I was just in shootout after shootout,

(04:12):
and it was it was laughable like And we chronicled
the thing the whole way through on the airwaves back
in the day and on the Fantasy Freaks show that
we had years ago on the Sunday mornings on Fox
Sports Radio. But Joe Burrow finishes with four to twenty
eight and four, and it ended up playing to form
right in terms of expectation. Over under was fifty three.

(04:34):
Finally blow way past that fifty three, fifty three and
a half whatever. But blow way past that Bengals plus
six and a half, So you cash there, but just
one of those. As you watched it unfold, I had
no expectations that either defense was going to give you
much of anything, and they didn't. Right, couple of sacks,

(04:54):
a couple of opportunities. Lamar had what should have been
an interception, nice play by the defender up straight through
his hands as he goes to the field. They go
back on an offensive attack, and they finish the drive
with a touchdown. Right, So you can't give these guys
right now the way Burrow and Jackson are playing that
second chance Jackson two ninety and four and then seven

(05:17):
for thirty three on the ground. Just a fantastic effort
all said. Just the deplorable, horrible efforts from the secondary.
It just continued to form. Right. I was on radio
and Baltimore. I do a spot my guy Bob Hainey,
Vinnie Serrado been doing stuff with them for many years

(05:37):
and it's a legacy play for me. We do a
few minutes and we're talking and yeah, fantasy starters or whatever,
and asked, is like defense at all? I'm like, no,
you guys have watched your team you can't lie. I'm
not lying to you. If they make a play, it'll
be the first.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
How weird is that, though, that the Ravens of all
team don't have a good defense because we're so used
to just no matter what, year after year, didn't really
matter who the personnel was, they were just gonna be good.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
But there were there were a number of opportunities. As
we're sitting watching the game, Jason Smith and I on
air doing our show for Fox Sports Radio, and they
come out of a commercial break and they show Ray Lewis, right,
and here.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
He is speaking of historically great deal.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
But here's a guy, you know, he's up there and
I obviously we don't have audio on in the studio,
so I don't know what's being said about him. But literally,
the next play was the shot down the sideline to
Chase where he sprints in and basically there's four defenders
running with them. M m oh okay, right, and nobody

(06:43):
goes anywhere near him to try to slow You've got
And I got to give him credit. You saw Burton
running alongside. He didn't do anything, he didn't block anybody.
He's running a straight line down the down the sideline,
but he's at least given some effort.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Yeah, the effort is that's more than you could say
he's been doing though, so at least it's some kind
of an improvement.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
But going back to Joe Burrow yelling animal last week, right,
Derrick Henry gets into the end zone once again after
that nifty Lamar run. Only sixty eight on the ground,
so he didn't give you the huge push three yards
one reception there. Deontay Johnson not much of a push.
Aguilar with a touchdown. So if you went deep into

(07:24):
the wells, you got some love there. I guess the
only real duds here is if you went deep and
you went to Yoshiva thinking maybe you found a diamond,
and well it didn't matter because Chase had his two
sixty four to three on his seventeen.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Casual quarterback stat line by Jamar Chase just unbelievable, right,
two sixty four and three touchdowns for a receiver. That's yeah,
it's insane. Andrews gets his touchdown, big play. The only
real disappointment to the game, because we saw Henry with
the touchdown, Brown with the touchdown and their yardage and
all is that Zay Flowers finish with just four catches

(08:01):
for thirty four yards. Out of everybody that you would
have played in this game, and I guess Gisiki would
have gotten into the game too, but into a lot
of fantasy lineups. Is a back end one seven points,
four catches thirty yards not terrible.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
For the tight end position, especially right year. It's like,
I'll take care as a back end one. Obviously a
lot being made. What did you think of the final
like one that they go for two? Yesh I dig
I honestly liked it. Yeah, I wasn't sure.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Yeah, listening to you and Jason, I was actually I
definitely agreed with what you guys were saying. I like
it because we literally just saw a few days ago
with Todd Bowles and they didn't go for two and
it ended up costing them the game against the Chiefs.
It's like, can you you can't get mad at Bulls
and then be mad at the Bengals for going for
it here just in both cases they happen to fail.
But I like going for two. It was you're going

(08:51):
for the win, You're the Bengals is a division rival.
It's a serious advantage in the head to head matchup
if you're able to beat them. I liked it.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah. I think the other thing that comes through is
you're you're facing a couple of the opponents where you
don't give them second chances, right Bowls against Patrick Mahomes
and here you haven't stopped the Ravens for anything second half.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Yeah right, so they were gonna score if you gave
it to the first.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
But even here you you still we're gonna give them
thirty eight seconds.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, which, so why not show put the pro they
showed us thirty eight seconds is enough, you know?

Speaker 1 (09:31):
So yeah, just e both teams, but just a fun run.
But get sicky, all right, So go through the play
by play. I've watched it like ninety seven times. My
theory is you're not just like the hail Mary that
if everybody's gonna argue that, you're not gonna call holding
on a hail mary guy that's at the line of scrimmage, right,
You're within two yards where you can chuck and hit

(09:52):
and grab and clutch and he's not in a pass
route until that ball comes out and then he falls
down and flops like a soccer player. To me, that's
not the call. Burrow getting hit in the head and
multiple face masks. There's a screenshot that's pretty funny where
you got hands to the face by two linemen, two
defensive linemen, and then the hand on Burrow's face mask.

(10:16):
The fact that they're missing calls on him repeatedly because
there was one earlier in the sequence where Yosevam made
a really good catch to give them a first down
on a third down pass play, but on a prior
down Burrow had clearly been slapped in the face and
the helmet, I mean, his head kind of bounced like
a bobblehead that he didn't get a call on, so

(10:38):
like we'd seen it a couple of times, and even
in his post game he seemed dejected, like, yeah, I
don't get those calls. But the Gseke thing like that's football,
Like that to me was nothing agreed. But I just
for the Burrow stuff.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Look, if he's not Patrick Mahomes, the reps are not
gonna gonna give it to him.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
That does seem it seemed to be where we're defaulting
at this point. But fun stuff ahead, I mean, angles
have some tests ahead. A week from Sunday, they are
on the road for a Sunday that affair against the Chargers.
So all of a sudden, this offense that's been clicking
and starting to move to defense, like, yeah, leave me

(11:16):
a little bit, and we're getting ahead of ourselves. A
lot of football that we played between now and then.
But Raven's back end of their schedule very division heavy. Obviously,
Cleveland's still good enough to screw things up. Pittsburgh coming
out of the bye week, they've got a great test
against Washington. We'll get in all the rankings, hot plays,
gold Tours and all that fun stuff. I'm sure some

(11:36):
Steelers and Commanders players will come up and all of that,
but take away from it what you will. Thursday nights
normally a mixed bag, and we lament not having entertaining
football Al Michaels and Kirk krb Street playing through the
loss of his beloved Ben. We talked about it on
the show Tough One. Right. We all have you know,

(12:00):
people and if you have an animal in your life
that has been a big part of your life, right,
and they pick you up as well as humans do oftentimes,
yeah without sometimes the letdown. And I'll let folks fill
in their blanks and their own personal lives there, but
it's a game. Rarely on a Thursday night do I
feel compelled to go home after we finish recording here

(12:23):
late Thursday night. By the way, so final injury reports
for the week are not in as we record this.
I'm not often just itching to go listen to the broadcast,
but I think I'll pick it up after halftime because
I'd love to hear Al Michaels get to call a
game that had this much juice to it.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, I was gonna bring that up. I'm really because
I had the sound off as well, So I'm curious,
you know, did he show a little more emotion because
the poor guy's just been dragged on social media whenever
any exciting play happens, and he's not just beside himself
with emotion. People are just it's time to hang it up.
Just it's one of the greats man, you know, show
lowers back.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Yeah, it's that hard part of the thing, right, Because
we just had Costas announce his retirement. Obviously he got
dragged for the playoffs, et cetera. And my sentiment on
Bob Costas recognized the legend status, recognize what he means
to broadcasting. I don't need preaching. It's a reason I
don't go to Pearl Jam shows anymore. It's a reason

(13:22):
I don't go to some you know, different music like.
I appreciate that they have their point of view, they
have their messaging, but it's or if I do go
right part of a festival or whatever that I that's
going to be part of it. And with Bob Costa
is when he does a game, I'm gonna get history lessons,
but I'm also gonna get a little bit of the soapbox. Sure,
so you know what you're getting for the price of admission.

(13:45):
For al Michaels, at this point, he's watched a lot
of bad football since he joined this Thursday night crew.
It's difficult to get excited most of these nights. But
here's one where you actually have two top notch quarterbacks
to good teams. After Cincinnati gives away week one or
two like they do every year, and then you know,

(14:06):
you push from there. You get sixty nine total points.
If he's not animated for this one, then maybe I
join very tepidly towards the Really, you couldn't get excited
for this, Jonathan, else you had the six and a
half was in question for much of the night.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
I'm with you there, I'm with you there, and and
it's not to say that some of these clips that
do circulate, it's it, you know, some of them are
kind of tough to see because it's like, man, you
couldn't have shown a little more emotional all that. But again,
it's one of the greats. It's al Michaels. And it's
not like he's just incompetent at calling games now like
some people would like to make it seem like. No,
he's still he's still a very good play by play announcer.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
But guys are gonna make mistakes, right, you get you
get fooled by a camera angle like we watched it
in the World Series, a couple of quick jerks by
the by the camera operator behind home plate, a little
bit of a historyonics by the batter in the in
the box, and you get fooled, right John Sterling, we
play the call and I argued from here and he

(15:03):
said it at the moment I got fool Yeah, like
Harry Carey back in the day for the Cubs. There's
a high fly ball deep left field Dunstan at the
edge of the outfield grass makes the catch, right. I
mean you have those Bob Costas had it in the
game with the Royals, so I mean it. Look, there's
a million things going on, and we all misuse words,

(15:26):
we all misspeak unless you're reading from a script, and
even then guys aren't getting that right. So you know, like,
as you say, just have some respect and enjoy the
ride as best you can. We enjoyed thirty five thirty four.
Hopefully you did too, and found some fantasy points to
give you a nice big lead if you're playing ketchup,
we'll try to help you get on the path towards

(15:48):
that coming up in a minute, as well as a
review of the trade deadline before we get out of
here real quick, Ian, Not much happened since we talked
big raids, all the big wide receiver moves going much earlier.
Jerry Jones played the waiting game we theorized on the

(16:08):
Thursday Night show Smith and I did he think that
the trade deadline you could only make the trades on
the actual deadline day, which is how he ended up
trading a fourth round pick for Jonathan Mingo.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
Yeah, I could see it. I could see him just
kind of being like, oh, all right, it's today, gotta
do something today, and.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Like everybody cheated by getting out early or something.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
It's yeah, I don't know. It's just like a fourth
for Mingo is crazy to me. Obviously, he's a lot
younger than the established stars we've been seeing going for
less than that, but still it's just like he hasn't
proven anything. Even if they did like him as a prospect.
There's now what two seasons of NFL tape to go
off of, and it's not very impressive. So well, he

(16:48):
could get on the field with the Panthers, right, and
that's not even a good football team. It's a team
that's been looking, it's been dying for a wide receiver one,
just any receiver to give the quarterback some help. And
he hasn't been able to get on the field. Kind
of a red flag to me. But you know, we'll see.
Maybe he does better in a new system, new quarterback
under center. So not going to just bury him before
we even see it. But it's a little questionable of

(17:10):
a move for sure.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
No, and that's it, right, Folks get upset about the
four throw pick. It's like that's what they asked and
they were desperate to have a headline, it would seem
and maybe there's something to it, right. I joked about
it and actually was taking to my dog for a
walk and I start scrolling and then there's the quote
from Jerry's radio here and saying we're making a move

(17:31):
for a kid I liked when he was coming out
of college. And you're like, okay, who's this, Like what
do we got? Jonathan Mingo's name was not anywhere on
my brain. I don't know when suddenly popped in. It's like, oh, okay.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Yeah, it's just like that's that's exactly what I think
we all were like, It's like, okay, you know, it's
just kind of really move the needle was.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
A great tease, like hey, we got something right. Yeah,
Like it's a guy that's two or three years in
the league. Maybe he's on a roster that he's just
not getting enough targets.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
A cool Jerry's just living for that short term like
build up. I get everyone excited, and then he's just not,
you know, forget about the letdown. We're living in the
moment for the build up and then and then oh
it's Mango.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Yeah. And then obviously we've got Cooper Rush under center.
Now the other thing in Carolina be not trade related,
but they may they make a big signing Chuba Hubbard,
who you know, I pushed for maybe to get traded
because of where we're at in the in the pantheon
of the Panthers season already moving Deontay Johnson, you've got

(18:33):
Adam Feelen in street clothes. Was surprised he didn't find
his way to another roster, So that to me, that
means there's more health stuff or they decided that if
he is healthy, he at least gives a safety valve
to where Bryce Young at least has a guy that
he can target alongside Xavier Legett, who I think I
hang a star on him. I think there's something there.

(18:55):
I like him when it develops, how it develops, if
it can there, don't know, but I think I've seen
enough to where I'm a bit sold and you're nod
in your head, so I think I am.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
And he's just like a character too, like it's not
it's not entirely like. I love the on field play
on all that. He's a big guy, he's athletic, he's fast,
but then he's also just like just just a good
guy to have in the locker room. His accent is awesome.
He talks about riding his horse, Dolla Bill, and every
time he scores a touchdown he mimics like he's riding it.
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Like we need more guys with personnelity exact, no question
about it. And certainly there you know, trying to find
staples and building blocks. So I was surprised when Chewba
Hubbard signed the four year, thirty three million dollar contract extension.
Does he deserve it? Probably?

Speaker 3 (19:41):
I didn't think it was gonna come from Carolina, right,
because they just s meant a second round pick on Brooks.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Right, which is funny because we tie it back to
the Cowboys because remember Jerry after round one said he
had his eye on him and then the Panthers took.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Him right, which when the Panthers took him, it felt
like a very respect like it made a lot of sense.
What doesn't make sense is now paying Cuba Hubbard.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Right, So Cuba good, not great. You already paid Miles Sanders,
and I like Ceuwba Hubbard. I think he's a good too.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
He's good.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
He's not the fundamental building block, which is what you
just said at thirty three million. Oh and the next
Sanders had like a twenty five million dollar deal too.
So I was like, you don't have a quarterback, your
wide receiving core. You've got leget what are.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
We doing right? It just seems like you'd want to
pay the true building block pieces at the stage of
the rebuild that they're at right now, which is the
very beginning, just not paying running backs who again, like
you said, are good not great.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Yeah, so that was the the big post trade trade
deadline move. That again, good for him, congratulations Chewba Hubbard,
and we'll see him get a hefty workload, no doubt
as we have that big battle in Germany to start sundowning.
Oh yeah, tell you what, let's add that to our equation.

(21:04):
As we get ready, we'll do the top fives, hot plays,
could sorts, ninjas as we continue here. It's I Watch
a Flex Week ten preview, Ian Roddy at Ian Roddy Underscore,
find me over at Swollen Dome. We'll get into the
top five. So we'll do it next. Welcome back in
I Watch Flex continues Week ten of your National Football
League season. We're underway already. We have the thriller Thursday Night,

(21:27):
Raven's the one point victory over the Bengals. The Bengals
go for two and it fails. A lot of griping,
a lot of hand ringing over officiating that will continue
into Friday and into the weekend, and no doubt all
of the talking heads and of course our Fox NFL
Sunday crew on Sunday morning. But Ian I wanted to

(21:50):
bring this up. This comes from opt to stats, and
it came down as you and I started breaking down
the game itself. Two instances in NFL history with these
stats for a quarterback thirty or more completions, over three
hundred passing yards, four or more touchdowns, multiple forty yard

(22:12):
plus touchdown passes. By the way, the lack of effort
trying to take down Jamar Chase was just awful, and
finally no more than one interception. Two instances where a
quarterback did all of that and his team still lost.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
And Burrow tonight was one of them. I'm assuming.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Yeah, so Burrow tonight with a picture of him holding
his head, Okay, like, oh my goodness, what just happened?
You want to guess what the other instance was?

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Is it another Joe Burrow.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
It is another Joe Burrow game going back to October
sixth against the Ravens, when he threw for three ninety two,
five touchdowns and one interception October sixth of this year,
of this year while completing seventy six percent of his passes.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
So two times in the same season he put up
insane stats and was it is the only guy in
NFL history at the position to lose while putting up
those stats against the same team, against the same team
who's a division rival.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Yeah. So like all of that to say, the fantasy
gods loved you, the football gods did not.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
I I have at a loss for awards at that.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
I mean that just those numbers are absurd, Like you're
talking about four to twenty eight and three ninety two.
I mean we're over eight hundred yards passing in two games.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Yeah, I just I remember that that that first game
against the Ravens too. He absolutely exploded.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
How you guys could combined for nine touchdown passes? He
was absurd.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
I remember after that game, my main now I should
have guessed this game because like my main takeaway coming
out of that game was the fact that you have
a team like the Bengals and Joe Burrow who just
put up a game like that, those kind of stats,
that incredible of a performance, and they have to come
away with an l on the on the their record,

(24:04):
whereas teams like the Broncos that same week, i think
it was the same week, beat the Jets on a
missed field goal and it was like ninety Yeah, it
was like a nine to seven final score, and just
like that, the Broncos gotta win on their schedule. It's
just crazy. There's something feels very I'm kind of messing
the way.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
But it's the unfair about that, right, It's the greatness
and it's the misery. Yeah, that comes with the National
Football League. With Major League Baseball, yes, we see some
weird things in the playoffs, but during the regular season,
the weight of a loss because of an odd error,
a wild pitch, a hit by bat, hit bat or

(24:43):
whatever it is, it doesn't matter, it doesn't hold that weight.
You only get seventeen of these, right and wherever you're at,
Like for us, we're blessed, we've got the giant grids
on in front of us and everything else. But maybe
that's your only game you're watching, right, you are a
fan of that squad, and when you watch something that
miserable go down, like that game against the Broncos, I

(25:06):
was fixated on it because it was just so bad.
Like I'm sitting with my daughter, We're having lunch, I'm
helping her with a little bit of an essay she's
trying to write, and she goes, you keep looking at
that one game. I go, look at the score. She goes,
but you got like thirty points like you got these
other games. I'm like, no, no, no, this is an odd
like just out of the corner of my eye, like

(25:27):
it just didn't sit right right. Meanwhile, you got pinball
numbers from all these other games. So like it's very
much like it gets ingrained in you and you get
your rapt attention, even if you got all the shiny
things floating around going.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Why yeah, it's it's just it equates to the same thing.
You can have two completely different performances, yet the at
the end of the day, the Jets and the Bengals
both come away with with oho and one on that
on the week.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
It all counts the same. It's pretty crazy, as it were,
all right, yeah, it's time to ratchet it up, as
we get ready for Week ten of the National Football
League season in Earnest again one game in the book.
Congratulations like you sitting on Chase and Burrow in your
league and feeling all chesty. Oh yeah, as you get
ready to go, and it's like, I'm gonna stark as

(26:15):
that are wr fours on teams just to prove my dominance.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Start Isaiah Pacheco, just to because I can't give him
a little runtime.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
I are all right, Cleveland, Green Bay, Las Vegas and
Seattle teams on buys. You don't have to worry about
Jordan Love throwing an interception this week. You don't have
to ponder Jamis Winston and his targets. You don't have
to think about the Raiders, which is usually a good thing. Again,
firing offensive staff. We'll see if Norv Turner can turn

(26:47):
think no, come on now and then Seattle, I'll speak
for Dan. Frustrating as hell watching that squad go out
week to week. All right, let's get into it. Top
five quarterbacks for the week. We'll start with Jalen Hurts
going against Dallas. Dallas has been carved up, shall we
say no pass rush. Hurts right now ranks sixth amongst

(27:10):
quarterbacks doing it with his legs. Saqua Barkley obviously leading
the way, healthy wide receiving corps and no Brown left
last week. He's expected to be a full go this
week as they have this divisional battle. So let's get
after it. Josh Allen against Indianapolis, another squad that will
give up the big plays. Looking at the eleventh most

(27:32):
fantasy points per game, about eighteen per Allen ranks fourth.
Not doing with his legs as much. I know that's
consternations psychologically damaging for fantasy owners expecting us. Don't worry,
you'll get your red zone the second half of the year.
I got a feeling he'll be a little more reckless
because he doesn't want to turn the ball over. He's
been very good about that, but now he'll give himself

(27:53):
up a little bit more so. I think he'll see
more of the rushing total start to pop. But he's
still fourth. With all of that being said, the efficiency
that he's had a little bit of a surprise here
based on the last couple of games that he's given
us nineteen and twenty four points in his last two games.
Patrick Mahomes going up against Denver team that's fifth best

(28:14):
if you go for the season long against opposing quarterbacks.
But we saw we see little chips in the secondary
where you can be beaten, and I think the arrival
of DeAndre Hopkins helps to open things up a bit
of Kareem Hunt running the ball efficiently and running into
that you're getting more play action. Travis Kelsey's been uncoverable

(28:36):
the last several weeks, So Mahomes maybe a little bit
of a price shot for you. We had him at
number five last week and that paid off big for us.
I'm doubling down and moving them up the rankings. How
about Rock Purty coming off of the bye week with
all of his compliments everybody full compliment of weapons, He's
still tenth amongst fantasy quarterbacks. For everybody that wants to

(28:58):
write off, he's not doing anything up playing very well.
The Ayuk's been hurt, Deebo's been hurt, Jennings has been hurt,
Kittle was banged up playing and greatly so at times. Oh,
by the way, that McCaffrey guy is slated to reappear,
no disrespect to Jordan Mason and Guerndo. You are not

(29:19):
Christian McCaffrey and finally, finally, Sam Darnold going up against Jacksonville,
the second worst pass defense for fantasy quarterbacks this year.
He ranks fourteenth, but he's got four games of at
least twenty points on the year. Number five, he gets
the five count up. By the way, Doug Peterson getting

(29:42):
all Chuck.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Lee and Sam. I hope Sam takes that person.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
I hope that there's just an extra deep ball for
Addison or the return of Hockinson. Who's out there with
you now, Aaron Jones, whoever it is, that you get
to at least put up a hat trick because Peterson
deserves it.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
Yeah, to those who don't know, Peterson was asked by reporters,
why do you think Sam Darnold has taken a step
forward this season? And his response was simply justin Jefferson,
And then he started laughing like it was a joke,
and so do the reporters, And yeah, I think Sam's
going to hopefully take that personal and shut them up.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Now for Peterson, it's nice to see he still wants
to be chuckle fest. But finding out that Trevor Lawrence
may need surgery, which means mac Jones gets elevated curious
to see if he can work any magic with Mac Jones.
This would have been a nice opportunity in a grander
scheme to be like, well you see what Sam's been
able to do there with Kevin O'Connell, and before that

(30:40):
is stop in San Francisco.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
Right, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
I always conflate him going down to the Rams, but
that was Baker.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Yeah right, yeah, because then they did overlap on the
Panthers for a second.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
So those twenty eighteen quarterbacks and what they're doing there.
But for Peterson to just say, look, we hope that
Mac in this role as we need to play him,
has some of that same success and that we had
the same developmental push for him. Instead, he tried to
make it derisive, and so I hope Sam Darnold crushes

(31:14):
him me too. There you go, all right, top five
running back coming down the board, say come on, Barkley,
you can stop. You can't stop him. You only hope
to contain him. Four times. He scored at least twenty
four Fantasy points in a game. You look at Dallas
third most allowed. Maybe you get some of the component
parts back, but here's a note. When you see some

(31:35):
of those big names be it Micah or whoever else
they sucked when he was on the field. Remember the
Cowboys were so bad we thought the Saints were good
back in Week two. Yeah, so let's just remember that
when we try to drop up the potential return of
some of their parts. On defense, Kyron Williams gone up

(31:56):
against Miami season low of nine point five last week.
But you're looking at a Miami defense that can give
it up against running backs six most fantasy points per
game eight chan On the other side, back to back
weeks twenty plus opportunity here, the Rams middling against opposing
running games. Miami's got to get him going, get a

(32:17):
play action going, if they've got any chance in this one.
That'll be a fun one. Monday Night Football Live from
Los Angeles. B John Robinson going up against New Orleans.
How many Saints jokes do we want want to running?
How many want to do this? And I know they
all had them. We're all, you know, veterans, and we
all know you guys aren't good.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I don't. I don't think our
coworker Brie would be very appreciative of us talking down
on the Saints like this, But they really are. They're
kind of just the laughing stock of the league right now,
and with Allen out right now that the season's over.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
So it went from and then you trade Lattimore, like
we talked a little bit about trades, I mean, there
were a bunch of defensive players movement right. So no,
while that's a nice move for Walhering like that their
buyers or whatever. That was more Smith and I doing
a full podcast that you can find full show and
then the podcast wherever you find wherever you found us
here on I Watch your Flex. So Robinson, he's sixth

(33:14):
amongst fantasy running backs, the Saints have given up the
eighth most fantasy points and then Brice Hall under ten
points scored back to back weeks. But looking for him
to be a contributed here bottom ten against running backs,
and it's really just you're looking for one pop. You're
looking for one big pop. Jets narrow favorites on the

(33:36):
road at Arizona.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Yeah, I would love to see Breecee step it up
a little bit. It's not that he's been bad, it's
just I could really see him getting a lot of
those short dump off passes from Rogers in this one.
So yeah, I actually I like that.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
I like that all right, And then just on the
outside looking in because we need to mention him again,
McCaffrey is back. So I already had a couple of
tweets that's one one doing that have come in going
well what do I do. It's like, if he's activated,
he's in your lineup.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
It completely changes the outlook of your team too. Like
if you're a team who has had McCaffrey on your
ihar the whole year, he was your first overall pick
more than likely. So yeah, your team took a massive
hit when he was out for all this time. So
hopefully your roster's looking kind of stacked now as long
as you've been able to survive.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
No, that's just it, you know, in a Guillantine league.
Hopefully you've been able to survive with it. In your
standard leagues, maybe you had enough depth at running back.
But certainly they're not activating him for giggles. If he's
able to play, he's going to be featured and he's
going to have a prominent role. And against Tampa Bay,

(34:42):
I mean we've watched opponents carve them up in the
passing games. So if nothing else from a PPR perspective
potential for a monster game. All right, let's do the
wide receivers really quick, keep ourselves moving, mind the clock
as we go. Justin Jefferson, Hey, we met what you
did him before? Yeah, fifth most generous fantasy defense against

(35:04):
wide receivers. He ranked second in all the football I mean,
Jamar Chase, what are you gonna do, Malik Neighbors. Yeah,
I'll take a little bit of a price shot here.
The Panthers they're they're not good, so we're just just
run for there. Deebo Samuel, going back to that matchup
opportunity here against the Bucks secondary, we're seeing quarterbacks having

(35:25):
great success. How about again, a little bit of a
price shot with your guy, Devonte Adams. Yeah, all the
way up at fourth here twenty two last week. Timing's
coming together and the heroics of Garrett Wilson mean great
things for DeVante Adams going forward.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
Yeah, it's a little fantasy wise, it feels like it's
a little hard to predict week over week which of
those two guys is going to be the one to
explode if either of them, because as we know, the
Jets floors pretty low as well. But but yeah, I
do think Adams is really due for a big game. Obviously,
he had a good one last week, but it was
Garrett Wilson who got all the attention with the you know,

(36:07):
one handed Odell Beckhams grab. But but Adams quietly had
I think an over twenty point fantasy game.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Yeah, I mean he had. He had twenty two and
he had the like that's about as easy a touchdown
as he's ever going to score too, right, But it's
a good indicator that that chemistry's coming back.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
The fact that Rogers hit him astride and yeah, there's
going to be space exactly because there's other talented weapons.
Regardless of what the Jets record says, there are other
talented weapons all over the field, So the opportunity is
going to be there for us hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
Finally, I'm on Ross Saint Brown going to against Houston.
Give me my PPR machine. That's one of the games
of the week that we'll be keeping an eye on
as we go. Forty eight and a half is the total.
Detroit about a field goal, three and a half point
favorite on the road. Houston, they've got some issues. I'd
see what I did. I did not take the Tom
Hanks easy line anyway, as we can tell you, we'll

(37:01):
do the hot plays, cold sores. Ninja's coming up on
the As we continue here, it's I Watch Flex Easy
and Roddy. I'm Mike Carmon. Hey, welcome back. I Watch
Flex Week ten. We continue on top fives in the books.
We get to our hot plays, cold soares, and Ninja's
for the week. I'll start off with the opponents of

(37:21):
Monday Night Football. Why I gotta give you a reason
to watch Stafford and Tua. We'll line them both up
as must plays in this one. To everybody's healthy, everybody
ready to roll. Rams don't have the great pass rush
that they did a year ago. They're sneaky good and
they're getting healthier on the offensive line. That's why I'm
looking at Matthew Stafford as a guy who while he

(37:42):
hasn't been gangbusters thus far. And if you look on
the other side, points allowed to date, Miami is the
second best against quarterbacks. This is where it breaks. Nickoo
will be available, won't get himself kicked out again? Cooper
cups there. DeMarcus Robinson hang a star on him. He's
got five touchdowns last four weeks, so opportunity knocks Jared Goff.

(38:03):
People still don't want to play him. I get it,
he's not throwing the ball fifty five times a game.
But with the efficiency of this offense, if nothing else,
go make a daily play. Good floor for sure. Yeah,
the floor is much higher than most. Aaron Jones going
up against Jacksonville fourth worst defense against running backs, Jonathan

(38:24):
Taylor against Buffalo second most generous. So an opportunity here,
that one from a straight football perspective. Indianapolis four point
home dogs. I hang a star on it. That's a game.
I'm very curious to see what because last week's was
a disaster, right The offense was so discombobulated, Joe Flacco

(38:44):
was awful, and there was really no continuity whatsoever. Wondering
if that doesn't look a little bit better this week.
Just different spot, Buffalo coming in ride and high. If
this isn't a potential letdown kind of scenario. There you go.
There's my editorialism of that. When DeAndre Swift going against
doing them, they're terrible bottom five against running backs, and

(39:07):
let's face it, they don't want Caleb throwing the ball
thirty five times a game right now, Taysom Hill. We
got to sneak a tight end in because his points
have been fantastic, and because he has that tight end eligibility,
let's sneak him in and then a couple of quick
wide receivers Khalil Shakur, because I do think there's some
points in there. Forty seven and a half is the total.

(39:29):
Let's take our operational efficiency Tank Dell for Houston against Detroit,
they've been terrible against opposing passing games. Third most points
allowed per game. So for Tank Dell, he's the obvious
next man up.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
Now, with Nico Collins coming back, does that affect anything?

Speaker 1 (39:49):
So that's the question. As we record this, he hasn't
hit the practice field yet. So Thursday night, late after
Thursday night football is when E and I, Ian and
I are sitting in the Fox Sports radio studios recording this.
So I don't know Nico Collins gets clear because they've
got a bye next week.

Speaker 3 (40:08):
It's a weird situation. Now, I'm not a Texans reporter.
I don't know anything inside on that, but from what
I've seen, he feels completely fine. Everything is one hundred
percent healed, but he isn't practicing and it's it's a
little weird of a situation. I don't know if that's
because they have the bye and they're just trying to
play it extra extra safe.

Speaker 1 (40:27):
Actually, you know what, I misspoke. Their bye is still
a few weeks away.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
Oh then yeah, I really don't know. Why are they
trying to play it safe? Then?

Speaker 1 (40:37):
No, that that is a fine. Maybe they considered the
Cowboys a bye, maybe because that's the next team on
the schedule. It'll be a Monday night or November eighteenth.
But you get stuff that you hear swirling around as
to why there might have been a decision to not

(40:58):
play him. Yeah, that doesn't that doesn't john their their schedule,
They've got the Lions and then they're on the road
quote unquote against the Cowboys. So but it's one of
those you need him for the stretch run.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
Yeah, But just like from a from a team building,
NFL running a team perspective, I get it, you know,
play it safe. He's the future of your of the
position for you at.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
The paid him and you know he's your guy.

Speaker 3 (41:27):
But fantasy football, like, we need him, we need.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
Detroit Dallas.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
Yeah, he's like the new Julio Jones is like what
he is. I love those comparisons I've seen.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
And then a sneaky game against Tennessee, really good pass defense,
and then week thirteen you've got the Jaguars ahead of
a buye and they're terrible. So three of the next
four weeks you've got opportunity for him to potentially feast
if he's on the field. But the point convoluted as
this was was he hadn't hit the practice field yet.
We'll see if that happens on Friday. If so, then yeah,

(42:02):
same thing goes back in proceed with caution. But if
they activate him, he's got to be in as your
WR two or flex position where you've been starting someone
in his stead. It's time to take a look see
because you saw how explosive that offense was with him
there in the early week. So we did the deep
dive analysis of CJ. Stroud. Is he holding the ball

(42:23):
too long? How bad is the offensive line's terrible? We
can stipulate to that, But that extra little bit, how
much of that is CJ. Stroud? Because you haven't had
Nico Collins there to help you, and obviously Digs no
longer available to you there as well. And then George
Pickens going up against Washington a bit of a price
shot as we go, curious to see if we get

(42:47):
a Mike Williams appearance so quickly, because let's face it,
we talked a lot about the Russell Wilson moon balls,
and there's nobody better to do it when he's healthy.

Speaker 3 (42:58):
Stays on the red line. He stays on the red line.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
Well, Russ won't yell at him. Yeah, he'll tell him
about nano bubbles. All right. For the cold soars Herbert
against Tennessee. Good defense. What can I say? They're stingy.
He's one of those if there's that deep thought of
he's been playing great football the last couple of weeks,
so you're like, all right, get him in. It's a

(43:24):
terrible team. They'll cause turnovers, short fields. I get that logic.
That might be pressing a little bit because I think
the run game still wins out there. Caleb Williams against
New England. I just can't trust that passing game right now.
And that's not me as Bears fan, putting my fantasy
hat on fully and not going after Waldron. And in

(43:45):
this moment, I'll save that ran for another time. Tony
Pollard going him against the aforementioned Charger. Second best against
running backs, Bucky Irving against San Francisco. They are the
best against running backs for fantasy purposes. Terry McLaurin going
against Pittsburgh eleventh in the game. Something's got to give.
I love scary Terry, but I get the impression they'll

(44:06):
do their best to see if they can't shut him
down and make Jaden Daniels go elsewhere. Because Daniels is
also a guy here, you're gonna play him. Pittsburgh third
best against quarterbacks, so stingy thus far. Marveson Marvin Harrison Junior.
He's got four double digit games. I'm not saying fifteen points.
I'm not saying twenty points. We've gotten over the double

(44:26):
digit hump only four times this year. Jets, as you know,
ian second best against opposing passing game. Puka Nikua is
a hanging star. He's a number two wide receiver, but
I could argue him out of a lot of lineups
against this Miami squad. Going back to Kyler Murray, you
know I love watching him play. There's a lot of
good that comes through. This is a James Connor game,

(44:49):
and in the sleeper side, mister Benson, if there ever
was one that you get a two headed monster going.
So let's get to the Ninjas. Aaron Rodgers against Arizona.
You've got Daniel Jones in that game in Germany. Again,
opportunity knocks against Carolina, Tyrone Tracy On in that game
as well. You're talking about Carolina giving up twenty nine

(45:10):
fantasy points a game to running backs ric o'dowdell. Kind
of a counterintuitive thing. Someone's got to touch the ball
and dump off side of the backfield count just as well.
Trey Benson going up against the Jets, Ricky Piersoll against
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers full compliment. Won't be a lot
of opportunities, but might be a couple of quality ones.
And then Courtland Sutton against Kansas City back to back

(45:32):
one hundred yard games. You saw the touchdown throw that
he had, so target count offense starting to click a
little bit tough spot against KC. But we'll sneak him
in as a back end too. I like it, So
that'll do it. There's all your top fives, your hot plays,
your cold soares, your Ninjas. Coming up next, we dive

(45:53):
into Dan's contributions. I'll see if I can do a
Dan impression. Maybe not, and Ian your streaming defenses for
Week ten of the NFL at Ian Roddy Underscore at
Swollen Dome. We continue one more round here on iwatcher Flex. Hey,
welcome back. Final segment of this episode the iwatcher Flex Podcast.

(46:16):

for being part of the extended family. Hopefully we're getting

(46:37):
into the winner circle more often than not. And look,
if nothing else, the three of Us, Ian, Dan, and
certainly with all of my loudmouth nature, I give you
someone to blame because I take a lot of names.
We take a lot of big swings here on I
watch your Flex. So you can always send those cards

(46:58):
and letters and blame me at swallowing to him on Twitter.
You got Ian at Ian Roddy Underscore, and of course
Dan at dan Byer on Fox. Dan Byer normally with
us here on the episodes. As you know, for years
going on, he's a bit under the weather, but he
did send along his work, so now we're gonna check
it here, Ian Roddy, I will do the dramatic read

(47:22):
of each of the component parts that Dan is sent along,
and you can go into your expository thought pieces of
why and how he came to those decisions, or you
can just read him aloud in a dramatic voice, doing
your best impression of a celebrity. All right, First off,
Survivor pick Week ten. I know Dan's had and he's

(47:44):
been very self deprecating with a couple of big swings
that have not gone right. Look picking straight straight up,
spread off to the side, no confidence points or whatever.
Picking just winners. This year has been very difficult in
the National Football League.

Speaker 3 (47:59):
Oh yeah, that's been tough. But this week he has
the LA Chargers as his Survivor pick. They're facing the
Tennessee Titans. So not a bad one by Dan byer there.
The Chargers are five and three, Titans are two and six.
As Mike you mentioned, the Titans do have a sneaky
good defense, but the Chargers I think are just far

(48:19):
and away the better team here. So I like this
from Dan.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
Run game still strong, Hardball's got that going. Starting to
see more in the past game mconkie. Quinton Johnston, oh yeah,
once upon a time, a whod guy. He can't get
past the reputation. Heard an interview with him on our
flagship AM five seventy LA Sports with our guys Petros
Papadekas Matt Mundey Smith who does the play by play

(48:44):
for the Chargers radio network. Just seemed like a good kid,
humble kid, talking about his you know, hobbies and everything else,
like got deep into it and talking about how much
he's grown this year and the expectations for him, and
he's had made a couple of huge plays, had a
couple of big games, starting to find himself a little bit.
I think more of the continuity with Justin Herbert and

(49:07):
change of coaching staff means an awful lot in the
National Football League.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
I owe it. Not that we need to go on
some big Quenton Johnson tangent right now, but it always
rubbed me the wrong way how quickly people were just
out on him. Yeah, he had some brutal drops last year,
but he was a first round receiver for a reason.
He's big, he's fast, he's athletic, he big catch radius. Like,
this is a guy who is a high ceiling in
this league. And obviously this season he's taken a step forward.

(49:32):
And that's all you can really ask of him from
after last year. So I really like Quentin Johnson just
as a person like you said, and yeah, I'm rooting
far him hard.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
Look, we can all go down the deep road of
whatever happened at Michigan, whatever you like or don't like
about the personality of Jim Harbaugh. Johnston's not on the
field if he can't play right. It's the one thing
that we can say for the Hardball Brothers. For some people,
they're an acquired taste. They are not guys that people

(50:03):
jump in full on. They know ball, though, but they
know ball, they can coach ball. And they're not putting
guys on the field that have any chance right in
their minds that are going to keep them from winning.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
And we've seen what a first round receiver bust actually
looks like, and that's Jalen Rager, that's Corey Coleman. Like
there have been first round receivers who have amounted to nothing,
and Quentin Johnston has already shown this season that he's
beyond that.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
So we'll see if Tennessee something's got to give. Seven
and a half points is the line that one here
from Los Angeles Sofi Stadium thirty eight and a half.
Thirty eight and a half again owing to the stinginess
of the Chargers defense. I like that survivor pick myself
points of baluza. Dan always goes through the board when
we look at the over under for each of the games.

(50:51):
He takes the It's like the tests in school, right,
We're going to drop the highest score here, we drop
the highest line for the week, which actually would have
been Cincinnati and Ballimore.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
Ye's tough.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
We blew pasted already. You've got a couple of fifties
on the board here, fifteen and a half, San Francisco,
Tampa Bay, fifteen and a half, Miami and the Rams
on Monday night, a lot in that middle forty range.
We already talked about Detroit and Houston being at forty
eight and a half, but Dan picked one that you
and I I think we might need to flesh this

(51:22):
out a minute.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
Yeah, So Dan picked the Falcons and the Saints. The
total is set at forty six and a half there
so far from one of the highest projected totals, but
I can at least see where he's coming from with
the Falcon side, with the high flying offense, and we've
legitimately seen them put up massive numbers and be one
of the points of Poloza teams of the week. It's

(51:45):
just the fact that they're going up against the Saints.
Like I, I wonder if he just thinks that the
Falcons are just gonna put up the points of Palooza
on their own, just straight up go like sixty and
to nothing and have points of Paloza.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
Well, the potential is certainly is there for them to
put up a bunch of points as we have seen
as that offense started to come together right the early
struggles for kirk Cousins had people looking for Michael Pennix
Junior and started all those whispers, not much more outward
noise of I think, wishing, wanting, hoping of chaos after

(52:19):
the big contract that kirk Cousins had signed. We go
back earlier this season. We saw a twenty six twenty
four Falcons win in Atlanta at the end of September,
so we hit a fifty going back there, Derek Carr
under center. You still have Kamara, we mentioned Taysom Hill,
You've got the other tight ends that get involved. When

(52:41):
you talk about Johnson and Moreau. We'll see them a bit.
Noah Lave as we talked about last time in just
best wishes that he gets back to health, definitely, however
long that takes. I don't expect to see him again
here in twenty twenty four. No Shaheed as well, So
trying to find second and tertiary options to make plays,

(53:03):
but good enough that they'll put up fourteen or twenty
one points. So now it's just incumbent on the Falcons
to finish the job. And I think offensively there's enough
to do it. I'm intrigued because that means a monster
game for Captain Kirk, and maybe we start looking at
this squad a little differently as they head into a
battle in Denver the following week.

Speaker 3 (53:26):
Yeah, Dan's taking a big swing, for sure, but I
like it.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
Well, you know what you get, no Laurel Crowns. One
of my favorite quotes. You get no Laurel Crowns for
outrunning a borough. And there you have it all right,
As we continue on, we go into the Oasis track
for the week, with the acknowledgment of their tour as
it stands right now, selling out. They're kicking out the

(53:50):
bots and resell like there's a lot going on there,
whether the tour actually ever happens. I think you could
probably lay odds on that as well. We're not going
to do that here, Ian, but he's given up an
Oasis song. I don't know it. I don't know their
catalog very well. But a player that you want to
watch this week.

Speaker 3 (54:08):
Yeah, I don't know their catalog super well either. The
full disclosure. I know Wonderwall by Oasis, and that's about
the extent of it. But Slide Away is the name
of the song that Dan gave us this week, and
I like the connection here. It's to a tug of
I looo versus the Rams. It's it's just pleading with Tua.
Just slide for your health, man, like please slide.

Speaker 1 (54:30):
Slide in, baby together will fly. I've tried praying, but
I don't know what you're saying to me.

Speaker 3 (54:35):
So these are these are the lyrics I'm assumed.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
I'm kind of going down the lyrics in a dramatic
reading kind of way because I don't know them.

Speaker 3 (54:42):
It's just yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you, Dan,
It's get.

Speaker 1 (54:47):
It all You've got My today fell in from the top.
I dream of you and all the things you say.
It's such a good song. I wonder where are you now?
I probably know this song if you put the melody
to it. But as you slide for your health, but
the opportunity is there. As we said, fifty and a
half the total for this one, he had 'side for
your streaming defenses this week. You've had some great success

(55:10):
over the course of the campaign and now we're getting
into crunch time where we need to squeeze out points
wherever we can. Again, four teams on the by the Browns,
the Packers, the Raiders, and the Seahawks. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (55:23):
So I mentioned it earlier on the Tuesday show that
I like the Giants this week. So they did end
up being one of my stranger defenses of the week.
When I brought that up, they were only five percent rostered.
So hopefully at the time you put in some claims
and managed to get them. Still there's a good likelihood
that they're still out there for you. If you didn't
put claims in because they're only thirty percent rostered right now.

(55:45):
Playing against the Panthers in Germany. As we've mentioned, Bryce
Young is set to start. He was better last week
in his return, but far from an intimidating matchup. He
still threw an interception, took some sacks, and speaking of sacks,
I'm expecting a lot of the for the Giants, especially
with Dexter Lawrence there. He's maybe the defensive player of
the year leader right now. He'd be my pick. And

(56:07):
in general, just traveling all the way to Germany, I
think it really has an effect on a young quarterback
who's already been pretty shaky to start his career anyway.
And look, the next good game that Bryce Young plays,
let's be honest, it'll honestly be his first. It'll be
his first good game. And I don't expect that first
good game to come overseas in an international game in

(56:31):
Germany against a good defense. So yeah, I like the
Giants defense here. And then the other one is the
Buffalo Bills, so little less available, but still half a league.
They should be out there for you playing against the
Indianapolis Colts. So you did mention this earlier Mike. But look,
we talked about this also on Tuesday's show, but the Colts,

(56:52):
who were pretty bad with Anthony richardson, they weren't much
better against the Vikings, which honestly sucked to see because
you were hoping to see a big step forward for
the Colts.

Speaker 1 (57:01):
Well, especially when you'd seen several weeks of decline right
and less than efficient football from Flores's defense, as we
thought maybe that would continue with the veteran quarterback under
center right, enough of his weapons available to him, including
Taylor back in the backfield, and in the end we
got a whole bunch of nothing. Right.

Speaker 3 (57:20):
There was a formula for it to improve. At the
very least, it didn't even have to be a win.
It was just to look better, and it didn't as
an offense. So you know, like you said, Mike, you're
taking your shot that it will look better this week,
which I don't necessarily disagree. But the Bills are a
good defense, and even last week when the when the
Colts were bad, we did include the caveat that they

(57:42):
were facing a good defense in the Vikings. The Bill's
defense is they're good too, and the Bills themselves they've
had a tough schedule to this point and still managed
to be top ten defense for fantasy. So, you know,
in an actually good matchup, I like the Bills.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Dig rest of the slate. We've got a couple of
also ran kind of games, but for fantasy purposes, always
give us a little bit of round. We mentioned New
England and Chicago, DeAndre Swift being the guy. We're looking
at their New England side of things. Maybe you look
at a Stevenson Denver Kansas City is interesting, the new
look Kansas City offense with DeAndre Hopkins. They're eight point

(58:22):
favorites at home against what has been a pretty good
Denver defense throughout the year. But Pittsburgh, Washington and Philly Dallas,
and we've got a bunch of marquee games. Yeah, what
it yields fantasy wise, you know, it's the let's grab
our popcorn and sit back and watch because we're in
the media part of the curve and and hopefully your

(58:44):
team's still healthy and alive as myke Guillantine teams. Boy,
seems like a long time ago when I was winning
each week.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
Yeah, I mean, it's definitely some marquee matchups, but you know,
as always, as every week. There will be studs and
duds from each and we'll be breaking each and every
one of them down on I Want your Flex. So yeah,
looking forward to it.

Speaker 1 (59:07):
Yeah, we'll get back at it Monday night into Tuesday
morning after the Dolphins and Rams say good night. So
hopefully a big winning weekend for you. Don't forget all
those bye weeks. Injury reports come out, Got questions at
Swollen Dome at Ian Roddy Underscore, send Dan some positive
positivity so his health returns and he gets his voice

(59:30):
back at Dan Byer on Fox and reminder that you
do need to either get up and watch it or
set it before you go to bed, because you do
have that Giants Panthers game to get things started. Live
from Germany as we finish up the International series for
twenty twenty four for Ian Roddy and our guy Dan Bayer.

(59:51):
I'm Mike Arment. We'll see you next time I watch
