Speaker 6 (00:46):
I guess gosh like the encore hour exactly. But wouldn't
the Power hours just be the last hour of like
when the.
Speaker 5 (00:55):
Band stops playing and everybody's got throw lighters out, Hey,
come back out for your song.
Speaker 7 (01:00):
No, first off, you don't have the lighters out for
the encore you know.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
No, you have it out for the slow song.
Speaker 6 (01:07):
Exactly, But for the for the Power hour, for the
last song, you have your like lighters or you have
your flashlight.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
It's been debated for years.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
Is this the power hour or is the power hour
actually the final hour?

Well, we know this broadcast hour.

watch the thunder blow this game against Golden State tonight.
(01:42):
Draymond hits a three and I feel like for the
first time, Oh, here you go, first lead. Since it
was nine to six, Golden State has taken an eighty
six eighty four lead and no sign of Jalen Williams
after his ipoke in the first half that has taken
him out of this game. Here's my confession for you,
and you guys can judge me accordingly, and that's fine.
(02:04):
I don't have hot takes as far as what is
or isn't considered part of a Thanksgiving meal. I don't
have hot takes about what's good or what isn't good.
It's just it's to each their own. I'm not gonna
fight you if you want sweet potatoes or right dams
and I've never had in my life, or macaroni and cheese,
(02:26):
or what green bean casserole.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
I'm just gonna eat it. All? Is that?
Speaker 4 (02:31):
I mean, I feel like you have to have hot
takes about someone.
Speaker 5 (02:34):
You don't have to have hot takes. But I do
want to tell you the food of Thanksgiving, the turkey
in particular. I like turkey, but it gets too much
after a while, when you're using it for like two
straight weeks of leftovers, and I'm just more I'm more
of a stuffing guy, and I like the stuffing that
comes from inside the turkey, and that's never enough. My
(02:55):
wife doesn't make like stovetop stuffing or anything like that,
so we have to have like all organic stuffing or
whatever the hell it is.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Well, she cares about you.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
She wants you to be healthy, white, So I could
live to be one hundred and seven.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Sure, she could spend more time with you.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
Why so you and I could do a show seven years.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Old and you cannot want to work with me on
holidays and have other people instead of me.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
Yes, yeah, No, I'm just I'm more of a stuffing guy.
I'll eat a stuffing sandwich, bread on top.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Of bread, and I don't know it's good for you
at all.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
I know that's probably not.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Yeah, so I noticed on Roman Numeral seventeen you would
ask the question tonight, he's Thanksgiving overrated?
Speaker 5 (03:36):
Yeah? Food wise? Food wise is what I meant.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
I don't think. So what do you think Mary's Mary's?
Speaker 5 (03:44):
I know people that do like stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Yeah, people do pizza on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
Yeah, I know people that I'm not doing, like ham
or turkey. I'm a lot of mac and cheese. There's
a lot of mac and cheese.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
Mac and cheese is it's to me? Mac and cheese
is a Thanksgiving side.
Speaker 8 (03:59):
I think when people go to McDonald's that's when it's
really crossing a line.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
I agree. I agree.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
That's whenever it's like, oh okay, well that's probably that's
probably something we need to talk about if you're going
with the mcgrib or the double quart a panda with cheese.
Speaker 8 (04:16):
I honestly, Jason Smith is probably gonna have McDonald's for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
McDonald's okay, all right? Learning a lot more here today.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
Yeah, there's some people that don't won't do the traditional
Thanksgiving meal. And they'll get themselves some pizza. I wonder
how pizzas like pizza stores do on Thanksgiving if they're
open even.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Well, but here's here's a question that I would have
for you is if you think it's overrated, then.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
I mean, what do you do? Do you just go
off on your own?
Speaker 5 (04:47):
No, look, I don't. I don't dispurge anybody's cooking. But
my wife and her sister the worst maybe on the planet.
And and of course when I go over there, I
sometimes pretend like I'm eating it and I can't even
swallow it down. I'm like, I'm like choking on it.
I'm like, what is this?
Speaker 8 (05:08):
What?
Speaker 5 (05:08):
And they they'll make separate turkeys because some people say, well,
people don't like my turkey. I go let me and
I'll let you in the secret. There's people that don't
like anything that's on this table. But I won't. I
won't have to worry about that because I got to
come back early. So I told them if it's snowing,
I have to leave early and get back to get
ready for the shows.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
I find myself, this is just me. If you put
gravy on about anything, I'm fins with it. Like you know,
it's like, do you put some people are anti gravy?
These Oh no, I gotta have tons of great These
people are called communists. Yeah, you can't have that, No,
but yeah, I just I don't have like I guess,
do you make.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Gravy or do you take it from the turkey? Do
you make your own gravy?
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Or one year we had to go make it because
no one brought it, So my brother in law and
I went to like.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
A Walmart and bought like gravy, you know, have it.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
But I just I, yes, that's my hottest steak. Because
I'm not someone that's gonna judge you if you like
something I saw. There's odds on what would be the
what Mary you guys played one has to go whenever.
The Ian was a part of it too, with the
odd couple. I don't eat what you want enjoy it.
If I don't like it, I'm not gonna eat it.
And guess what, I don't feel like it's necessarily that
(06:21):
big of a deal.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
Is everything closed in your neck of the woods for
tomorrow or.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Yeah, yeah, pretty much.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
I think that there's a few places that stay open
just just in case.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
Right, we have stors out just leave the door unlocked,
and I'm serious, Are you serious? Yeah? Poor?
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Well who makes it then? If they just leave it?
I mean there are people inside there that take care
of or what.
Speaker 5 (06:45):
No, No, there isn't there that's possible.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
There's no one there to make the food. But magically
the bag shows up you.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
Or it's it's called poor House Pies and you order
your pies and they just leave it boxed up inside
this this store, this shed, and there's nobody there, especially
on the holidays sometimes they're there like from eight am
to noon. Otherwise you play shorter and you pick up
your stuff and you just leave.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Is this you trying to get a free pie out
of this? Is this not for you?
Speaker 5 (07:16):
No? No, no, one hundred percent. I mean people can
I guess can go in there and take pies that
don't belong to them, but you know you you're supposed
to pay for it online and then you drive down
and you pick up your pies and and you leave.
So that way nobody has to really watch anybody.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
All right.
Speaker 5 (07:32):
Yeah, it's like it's like Maybury around here, I'd.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Say, so maybe it's it's much more Mayberry than I
ever thought it was. So I just want to let
you guys know, we're not here to grade side dishes.
We're not here to fight about anything you do. As
as the kids like to say, you do you boo
and uh, we'll just eat what we want what we don't.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
I don't have no idea.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
Listen, Arnie, we have been contraction obligated, as every sports
radio host is, to have a conversation about Aaron Rodgers
commons this week.
Speaker 5 (08:06):
Yes, that is true.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
I figured here in the Pat Power Our third hour, what.
Speaker 5 (08:12):
Else right, Power Hour, this would be a.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Good place to have it.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
So here is what Aaron Rodgers said this week whenever
he was a guest on the Pat McAfee show. Now
full disclosure, I have been a guy that I've been
in the business of tuning Aaron Rodgers out. It's just
I've kind of reached that point where I'm like, I
just just play football, you know. I know that's a
terrible thing to say, right, how dare I? But I'm
tired of the excuses. I'm tired of everyone getting fired.
(08:39):
Just go play football and be good. Well, there is
a conversation about his future, and he addressed it this week.
Speaker 9 (08:45):
As far as my future goes I haven't told anybody
in my life that I want to play in twenty
twenty five and not on the Jets, So that's one
hundred percent falls. I actually said the opposite, you know,
I said that I'm gonna wait and see what happens
with at the end of the season and if they
want me back, and what happens with Brick, and what
(09:07):
happens with the offensive staff and obviously the GM at
the time, and you know, then they just fired Joe.
There's a lot of things out of my control and
it comes to that. But I've really enjoyed my time
in New York. I mean, obviously we haven't had success
that we've all wanted to have, but you know, I've
made some great friendships on the team. I've enjoyed living
in Jersey. I've enjoyed time in the city. I've enjoyed
(09:28):
getting to know the fans, and I came here to
win here. So I'm not jumping off ship, you know, like, oh,
I definitely want to play and not in New York.
I don't even know if I want to play yet,
but New York will be my first option.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
So dude's good to getting attention, is he not?
Speaker 4 (09:46):
Now, I don't even know if I want to play anymore,
but I know that it would want to be with
New York.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
What do you make of this latest as the air
in turns?
Speaker 5 (09:54):
Well, first of all, is he people are speculating does
he mean New York? I could be Jets or Giant,
And you know he's doing one of those trick word
things out there. I don't know. I think when you
hear the whole context of it, yeah, exactly when he
did that, I think when you hear the whole context
of it, I think he meant the Jets. I am.
I'm fed up with him. Also, you know, I know
(10:15):
he's a Hall of Famer, but at the same time,
can you be one of the most overrated quarterbacks in
the history of the NFL? Because he's really close to that.
You know, expectations real high and never even came close
to fulfilling those expectations. I do believe he you know,
he wants to play one more year. I don't think
he's going to retire. I do think it's going to
(10:36):
be with the Jets, though I don't think I want
him back. I think he's done. I think he should retire.
I think his best days are way behind him. He
can't lead a good team to a five hundred record,
especially when they don't have enough around them. But the
Jets had a pretty decent team coming into this year,
and they just look absolutely horrible. I think Rogers looks
(10:59):
horrible also. I retire from him, but I think he'll
come back for one more year.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Does he come back?
Speaker 8 (11:06):
Then?
Speaker 4 (11:06):
Do you take him out of his word that he
comes back for one more year with the Jets?
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Should he? Does he look like a guy who should
come back right now? No?
Speaker 5 (11:13):
No he doesn't. Does he looks horrible? I mean, he
really can't move. His mobility as worse as ever now. Yeah,
he could run a little bit out of the pocket,
but he's just like a statue there. He can't do much.
He he comes up with a big throw every now
and then, but my goodness, he's just a shell of himself.
(11:33):
He should really consider retirement after his injury and after
what he did to get back.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
You know, I like Aaron Rodgers the football player, and
I dig Aaron Rodgers the personality. It's just we're putting
a lot of attention, Arnie towards a guy that from
the moment he stepped on the Jets. It's been a disaster.
He got hurt on fourth, fifth, sixth places.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
If people were betting on the Jets to win the
super Bowl at the beginning of the year, I gotta
bet this team to win the super Bowl. They were
getting a lot of bets. Bobby top three teams to
get bets to win the Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
Chriz, I know who Antonio Pierce feels is the worst
team in the NFL, and we'll.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
Get to that.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
But the New York Jets are a three and eight
football team. They are a half game ahead of New
England Division, right, and they went from being two and
one to being three and eight. Their only win of
substance was a still head scratcher and whatever the Texans
(12:36):
were doing on that Monday night football game. But they've
got the Seahawks and the Dolphins and back to back weeks,
I mean, three and ten maybe now Seahawks. Probably one
of those games they end up winning for someone own reason.
But if I here's the thing. If I'm a Jets
fan and I want to win, Jets want to win.
You want to win games, you want to go to
(12:58):
the super Bowl, you want to play in the playoffs.
It hasn't happened in a really long time. Arnie, do
you even want him back to be your.
Speaker 5 (13:05):
Quarter You don't want him back? How many teams for
next year would want Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback?
Speaker 3 (13:13):
You just want to do a quick little list. Here
we go.
Speaker 4 (13:15):
Let's do a quick little list. Okay, I'll just I'll
go by draft order, okay.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Uh. And teams that I think would want to Jacksonville
go ahead.
Speaker 5 (13:23):
Yeah, well, I was just scanning the divisions, which it's
easier for me to look that way. Okay, Giants, Giants
possibly won, But I'd want to go young and start fresh.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
And but would you want to bridge there? Would you
want a bridge quarterback?
Speaker 5 (13:40):
Possibly?
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Possibly? Raiders?
Speaker 5 (13:44):
Raiders would be two Carolina three?
Speaker 4 (13:49):
Okay, I don't know if I do Carolina. I take
that back, Okay, Okay, just keep with Bryce Young.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
I don't. I don't disagree with you on.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
That because I do have Pryce Young, so I'm probably
gonna stay in in that direction. I'm gonna stay with two.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
What about Tennessee, because remember he was originally going there.
Will Levis has been okay.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
But what I see it's hard for me to answer
all that because out of all these bad teams, somebody's
gonna end up with Sanders, right, you know, somebody's gonna
end up with Ward, and I'd rather go with Sanders and.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Ward to day one. You don't want a bridge guy.
Speaker 5 (14:21):
No, I don't want a bridge guy in that situation. Okay,
well as it stands right now, maybe for the other
quarterbacks that are taken in the second and third round,
but not for those two quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
If you end up with say one of the second
tier quarterbacks, yeah, draft.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
Right, anybody besides Ward and Sanders.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Okay, like a Jalen Milroe, if you get Jalen or
Quinn yours if he if Milroe come exactly, Okay, okay,
I can buy that.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
I don't even know Milroe is coming out, to be honest,
I don't either.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
He's got another year of eligibility.
Speaker 5 (14:51):
I'm not so sure I would come out then if
I was.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
You got stomped by that Oklahoma You see that seven
yards rushing?
Speaker 3 (14:58):
That's sit down.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
I could go through this list, but I mean, just
even I listed, probably took four or five teams and
you had like two where you're like, yeah, maybe what
about a place like.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Oh gosh, the cold put it.
Speaker 5 (15:11):
Put it this way, didn't it seem like a lot
more teams were interested in Daniel Jones, then they'd be
more interested in in in Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
Yeah, it it appeared that way, but it's he didn't
get signed to an active roster.
Speaker 5 (15:25):
Wanted him your Vegas. I saw where Las Vegas wanted it,
right right, that was more than just a rumor out there.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
Well again, I don't know what's real and what isn't
because no one put a waiver claim in on him, nor.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
Right because you because it has to do with money, right.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
Right, But then he has a decision to make. But
to me, I maybe I'm maybe I'm looking at this wrong.
Maybe someone will correct me. But I mean sign on
the practice squad. I mean that just it's it seems
to me that if he was really that vaunted and wanted,
he'd be signed right away to the actor roster. So
(16:01):
I get, like I said, I might be misreading this thing.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
I'm sure Dolphins wont him as a backup. Also, I'm
sure they were a team that were that was interested,
probably didn't want to, you know, bring him in nobody.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
It's it's hard right now to find a spot where
you would just say, yeah, I think Aaron, right, how
about Seattle where Aaron, I don't know, That's what I'm saying,
because a lot of these places someone might in Atlanta's
got its quarterback situations figured out for a while. This
(16:33):
in San Francisco, I don't think they're gonna go away
from Rock Purdy after what we've seen, right, as long
as to a stay's healthy, New England's not.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
And maybe you know, I think.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
There's a handful if you want to bridge with the
Giants or the Raiders, if he wants to come back
to the Jets, or if he wants to go to
a place like Indianapolis, there's only like three or four
places right now.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
His best option might be to go back to the Jets.
Speaker 5 (16:56):
You know what's so funny is because people were talking
about Sam Darnold saying if he didn't come back to Minnesota,
somebody's gonna pay him a lot of money to be
their starting quarterback. And I'm like, who, who what are
you talking about? They know, I'm certain like one hundred
million dollars. I'm like, who's what are you talking about? Though?
That guy should be fired if they're gonna give him
that type of money. You're crazy?
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Yeah, exactly, all right, we got a break.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
It's Arnie and Plank sitting in for Jason and Mike
when we come back. What say you, where's my Jets
fans at that stinking genius one. I'm at Plank show.
Everyone give us a take at Fox Sports Radio. Uh,
Jets in the right to just go ahead and say, hey,
let's start a new new head coach, new offensive coordinator,
new defensive coordinator, new mindset, new quarterback. Let's just wash
(17:43):
away the old or can you even do that in
a place like New York? Does that fan base demand
You owe it to them to give it one more try?
Speaker 3 (17:51):
With Adams and Aaron Rodgers, They've drafted pretty well.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
The core is good with guys like Breese, Hall breeseall
in the in the running back like see me linebackers
and fenders you have. But can you run a back
with Aaron Rodgers and feel like things would be different?

Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
All right Toarni and playing here on Fox Sports Radio
catch us Sunday Night Back Together recapping the National Football
League as we rolling in my favorite week of the year, Uh,
Thursday NFL games, three of them a Friday NFL game
this year as a Week thirteen A.
Speaker 5 (19:44):
They're bad games though of this year.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
Listen in June and July, you'll be so thirsty for
a Chargers Falcons matchup. I just try to think of
that person whenever I complain about the matchup.
Speaker 5 (19:58):
I remember, we only had two games on the thre amb
No on Thanksgiving Thanksgiving. Yeah, well, yeah, that was the
only Thursday games you'd have all year. You'd have the
two Thanksgiving games, you'd have the Lions play one and
the Cowboys play the other. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
And at some point, at some point, everyone today is
going to tell you the story about why the Lions
play on Thanksgiving, because, as somebody who was filled on
Thanksgiving a majority of my life, at some point it's like, hey,
why the Lions play on Thanksgiving? And you end up
wanting to tell the story, So hey, I have a
point of procedure. If you will I have a question
for you as as a gambler, Arnie. So we've talked
(20:36):
about the Thunder Golden State game, which is going on
as we speak tonight, about three minutes to go in
the game. Okay, sees up a point. Golden State trails
at ninety seven and ninety six. Jayden Williams Jalen Williams,
the star Thunder player, gets hurt, gets poked in the
eye and has been out since just before halftime. He
(20:58):
went to halftime just two points off his total for uh.
I guess you could say these point total on the night,
which was let's say fifteen, and he had thirteen at
the break. So a lot of people on this social
media site known as Twitter slash x are saying that
(21:23):
all the sports books should void the Jalen Williams bet. Now,
I gotta tell you something, I'd say, no, no, why
because he got hurt. Isn't that part of gambling. Isn't
that what it's all about it?
Speaker 5 (21:40):
But Baggie, some books may do it if they are
not held for a lot of money. They just basically,
oh the hell with it, We'll go ahead and we'll
do that. But I guess and most of them to
have action is if he just plays. If he plays,
like when you have a starting pitcher in baseball, if
that starting pitcher throws one pitch and you're betting the pictures,
then it counts as a start and you're not gonna
(22:03):
get any money back. You're right, though, they shouldn't have
to give back anybody in this situation. I agree with you.
He played, played almost the whole first half, came up
with thirteen, and he scored another bucket. They would have
the payoff on the over. What about the people that
had bet the under, Oh they're happy. So yeah, they're
feeling good. So you know, that's just the way it
(22:23):
works in that situation. I know, when you bet the
totals in a football game, if the game doesn't go
at least fifty five minutes, then the bet is null
and void and you get your money back.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
That I do know.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
I just I guess from my perspective, I don't. Oh
my gosh, SGA is so wicked. One hundred and ninety six,
Shay Gilles Alexander hits at three to push the spread
back up to four. I'll just say this, I think
whenever there's not a lot at stake.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Sportsbooks will do this in order to.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Get a little bit extra attention, right, and all we
forgave that. Well, they're not losing too much money on
it because not a lot of people have the under.
Maybe there is fifty bucks here and fifty dollars there.
If you're on Twitter or any other social media platform
and you're complaining, two said sportsbook that they should they
should cancel it. I think that's soft. I mean, that's
(23:16):
what gambling is all about, exactly. Some bad break said
go your way, and it sucks. It absolutely sucks.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
I got a real quick gambling story. You'll love this one.
When I was living in Vegas. Okay, I had bet
the and you know, I'd bet the over under in
the NBA All Star Game and I had lost it
by a point. I was watching the game at my apartment. Okay,
took my ticket and threw it in my little trash
bag at my trash cam, and I went to bed. Okay,
(23:45):
I wake up the next morning and I buy the
USA today. This is how all things are that with
the USA today. You get on your phone and look, no,
there was no phone to look at, and it had
to score the game. And I go look at that
they got the score wrong, and the score they put
up there had the game going over. And then I
go down to the sports book and I see that
(24:05):
the game went over, and I'm like, how's that possible?
I saw with my own eyes that it was one
point short. Well, Scottie Pippin got fouled at the end
of the game and they brought them out of the
locker room to shoot two foul shots. So I don't know.
I never to this day understood why in an all
(24:27):
Star game, a meeting was all Star game, they had
to brings I believe it was Scottie Pippen out of
the locker room to shoot two foul shots and that
put the game over. And there were people who had
thrown away their tickets that were going through trash cans
at the sports books and trying to find, you know,
old tickets where people just thrown them to the ground.
(24:48):
The casinos were taking up to the trash cans and
putting them through shredders because there were so many people
looking for tickets. But I and you know me, I
know the score of the game, especially since I bet it,
and I couldn't believe to this day they brought. I
think it was pipping out of the locker room.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
Wasn't it in Seattle too? Wasn't that where the All
Star came?
Speaker 5 (25:09):
I think it was in Seattle.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
Yes, I think you've.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
Told this story before, and I think we went back
and looked at it, and this is not one of
those where we can say Arnie's making up a story.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
But yeah, I think it was like a one point
winn and it went to a three point win or something.
I'm not sure.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
That's hilarious. Well did you end up finding your ticket?
Speaker 5 (25:27):
Yeah? Mine was in my house, in my own trash can,
So I was watching the game in my house and
I went and just opened it up and got my
ticket and cashed it.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
So well done on your part.
Speaker 4 (25:37):
All right, mate, We'll see if they decide to avoid
the bet, but it looks pretty good for the Thunder
right now. We'll see about the Jalen Williams injury. More
on the NBA tonight. Martin Weiss is in the house
with what's trending?
Speaker 3 (25:49):
What's going on? Martin? I got I got two things
real quick. Go ahead.
Speaker 10 (25:52):
First of all, the idea that a sports put should
refund you if an athlete gets hurt it. It's brothers,
not cousins with participation trophies like I mean, you yell
a bellied I can't stand it, and people talk about, oh,
they should refund me. You know what, if you can't
handle it, I suggest you invest in something else.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Though.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
The amount of people telling him that he better be
showing up at the press conference with the glass eyes
pretty funny in my world right now.
Speaker 3 (26:22):
Or and I patch too has been pretty funny.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
I mean, or why don't you just be a better better,
a better gambler and bet the under.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
Being a better gambler.
Speaker 10 (26:36):
Arnie Spaniard somehow managed see so so so plank we do.
We do it on our show on Saturdays at ten
o'clock in Eastern We try to pick three teams out
of the We try to rank three teams that have
the best chance of making an upset, and then we
pick games.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
So we just eight picks in total.
Speaker 10 (26:55):
Arnie did something that has never happened before in the
history of Martin and V on Saturday nights.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
Oh oh for eight?
Speaker 5 (27:03):
Did you get out of here? Did they go for eight?
You did?
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Arnie?
Speaker 8 (27:06):
I just calculated it during the last break.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
I don't believe you oh for eight.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
No, no, no, this, let's let's go through this.
Speaker 8 (27:12):
What what all did he have the en I deleted
the games themselves.
Speaker 5 (27:16):
I just know I don't believe you.
Speaker 8 (27:19):
I said that. That's all Arnie needed to just be
like it didn't happen.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
You know what, I'll find it out. I'll find out now,
I'll tell it to you, guys. Yeah, bring it out.
That's well, were they college games or programs?
Speaker 8 (27:33):
All programs?
Speaker 3 (27:34):
All NFL games.
Speaker 4 (27:35):
Well, he's been terrible college games this year and equally
is bad in pro games.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
But so it's a good thing you found that table.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
I thought you said pick the losers. I didn't know
they picked the winner.
Speaker 8 (27:44):
Oh well, there you go.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
There you see it was just a failure to communicate.
Speaker 5 (27:48):
So you really ate.
Speaker 10 (27:49):
No is what you're saying then, exactly with ten seconds
left in the fourth.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
It's hard working. Tomorrow night, I am oh, I'm excited.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
I'll be here.
Speaker 5 (27:59):
I'm just kidding.
Speaker 10 (27:59):
I'm just heh hehs. I'll be here till Monday. Pal
might as we'll just move in having Thanksgiving dinner at
Fox Sports Radio sponsored by tyre Rek with this hold
on this, So what's going on here? Wiggins for three,
bang all right, one to two to one oh one.
Ten seconds left in the fourth quarter. As Oklahoma City's
(28:21):
inbounding the ball, Shake Guilder is down to Shake Guilders
Alexander fouled by Buddy Healed, He'll go to the free
throw line.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Oklahoma City with a one point lead.
Speaker 10 (28:30):
Shake Gilders Alexander with thirty two points and eight rebounds.
Draymond Green ten points, thirteen rebounds, seven assists.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
We'll keep you updated on this game.
Speaker 10 (28:38):
And there's only seven seconds left to Shake Guilders Alexander
to the free throw line to shoot free throws.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
I'm not sure if it's two or one.
Speaker 10 (28:46):
Oh noough winning a bonus, So two free throws coming
up here for Shake Gilders Alexander. We'll keep you there
if I'm still updating by the end of this game.
The Hawks beat the Cavaliers one thirty five till one
twenty four. It's Cleveland's first home loss of the year.
Trey Young twenty points, two assists.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Have a night.
Speaker 10 (29:01):
Cleveland now seventeen and two on the year. Rockets beat
the seventy six ers twenty two to one fifteen Philadelphia
and now falls to three and fourteen. Anthony Davis has
nineteen points and fourteen rebounds seven assists as the Lakers
beat the Spurs one nineteen to one.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Oh one.
Speaker 10 (29:16):
Carolina State's the top the Metropolitan Division in the NHL.
They beat the Rangers four to three. The wild beat
the Sabers won the nothing. Minnesota improves to fourteen four
and four. Daniel Jones newest member of the Minnesota Vikings
practice squad after he cleared waivers being released by the
New York Giants. Forty Nineers linebacker Fred Warner said today
that he has been playing through a fractured ankle. He's
(29:38):
played nine consecutive games with this injury, taking painkilling injections
before each of them. He will play Sunday against the Bills.
Chiefs running back Isaiah Pacheco broke his fibula in week two.
He'll be back for Week thirteen, that's Friday. Charles Ameni,
who Edge Russell, will be there as well. For Kansas
City that's against the Raiders. Adan O'Connell gets to start.
(30:00):
Gardner Minshew broke his collar bone Week twelve. Packers rule
out Romeo Dobbs and cornerback Jyier Alexander for tomorrow night's
game against Arnie's Dolphins Chargers. That's sick Roody for injuries.
That's why you get two. Is gonna freeze tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
JK. Dobbins he's out for Week thirteen against the Falcons.
Brandon cooks up.
Speaker 10 (30:21):
Off of ir for the Cowboys wide receiver room, Jack
Ferguson out tight end for the Cowboys. Tommy DeVito long
shot to play on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys, under going
further evaluation. Drew Locke likely to be the starter for
that Giants Cowboys game. Giants and uh Drew Locke verse
Cooper Russ. It's exactly what they drew it up as
(30:41):
when they scheduled that one at the start of the year.
Still waiting for the play to resume between Oklahoma City
and Golden State.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
Shake gild just.
Speaker 10 (30:48):
Made one free throw, so was one O three to one,
one seven seconds left, and I'll let the Oklahoma City
Thunder fan take it from here.
Speaker 4 (30:59):
Let's go. They can hold on seven point seven seconds left.
It's been a fun game tonight, Oh Thunder gonna hold
on all right, one point two seconds left. The Warriors
get the ball in bounds. Oh, they blew an open
layup to tie the game. Oh my gosh, did you
see that? Was that Wiggins?
Speaker 5 (31:20):
No, I'm behind you, I'm behind.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
You, Oh my god? Or was it Draymond? It was Wiggins?
Speaker 4 (31:27):
Ian Roddy the uh the Golden State Warrior fan knows
it right away. I mean, what a pass from Draymond
Green Wiggins got away from. Well, it's not open. That's
unfair on my part. Wiggins got away from Shay Gilgess.
But that's a shot you make in the NBA. That's
a shot you gotta make.
Speaker 5 (31:45):
By the way, while we're talkingner gonna win it. Oh yeah,
he's got to make that. He didn't, didn't get himself set.
He rushed it.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
He thought brilliant, brilliant pass by Draymond.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
He thought there was less time than there really was.
He had about three fourth seconds, So you should have
done that. I am. I have a new person most
hated in sports other than Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
Okay, well, hold on, Ian, you got the games real quick.
So we can follow up on this and prove Arnie
rye yes.
Speaker 8 (32:12):
So it was actually only the atomic dogs that I dilated.
I actually do keep around the game. So here we go. Arnie,
Uh so zero for five on picks. Commanders you had
versus the Cowboys, they were minus ten and a half.
Obviously the Cowboys won that. Texans versus Titans, Texans were
minus eight. Uh yeah, yeah, so didn't didn't come away
with that one.
Speaker 2 (32:33):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (32:33):
Eagles versus Rams, you picked the Rams. The Eagles were
minus three. Ravens versus Chargers, you both picked the Chargers,
so you were both wrong on that one, but Ravens
were minus two and a half, so they ended up covering.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
You picked the Chargers over the Ravens.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
If he says so, I don't remember, oh my god.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
He did. You gotta remember these.
Speaker 8 (32:55):
And then last, but not least, Chiefs versus Panthers, Arnie,
you picked the Chiefs, which I can't fault you. You
hard for that, but it was a ten and a
half spread, so suck.
Speaker 6 (33:03):
Yeah, it's not good, dude, Oh my god, that's so great.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
This is terrible.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
It's not like it's been this way all season long,
and it's.
Speaker 7 (33:13):
Not like we haven't said it every single week.
Speaker 5 (33:16):
I don't understand what's going on.
Speaker 7 (33:18):
It's almost like you're just bad at picks.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
I mean, maybe I'm doing it on purpose this year,
and I'm just giving the losers instead.
Speaker 8 (33:24):
Well, no, he already said he's been trying. He's been thinking,
you're trying to pick the loser. So yes, now that
he knows the rules, we'll see how it goes.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
We'll see how it goes.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
All right, good good research, I Arnie, Who do you
hate more than Aaron Rodgers?
Speaker 5 (33:36):
Well? Who do you think there's only one person in
sports that's more hateable now than Aaron Rodgers. I'm watching
him on TV right now, to be honest with you.
Who Danny Hurley?
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (33:52):
That why I'm I'm so I hate Danny Hurley so
much that I hate Torres now because he's a Connecticut fan. Seriously,
his attitude is just horrible. I mean, he has crossed
the line. I'm not kidding he is. He cost his
team that first game against Memphis. I think that they
(34:14):
were down by one or the score was tied and
he got a technical like with eight seconds left or something.
He's he's just gone over the top. Could you imagine
if he was coach of the Lakers and he was
like this and yelled at Lebron or something. He's do
you have to be like this when you're a head coach,
you have to be like a total jerk, a total knucklead,
(34:38):
especially to officials. I don't get it. I don't understand.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
I don't either, I don't. And it's every single call,
arn't he?
Speaker 4 (34:46):
I mean, everyone all this guy is angry about I
notice you have this in the Roman numeral rundown at
number twelve.
Speaker 5 (34:55):
Yeah, he's crossed the line, though, Chris, He's he really
has cross the line.
Speaker 4 (35:00):
Do you know the one thing that would stop him?
You know, the one thing that would make people actually
say something to him if they start losing. And until
that happens, no one's gonna say anything to him, Marny.
You know that until And by the way, is Bobby
Hurley still at Arizona State?
Speaker 3 (35:19):
They didn't fire him this offseason.
Speaker 5 (35:20):
You've you've watched enough of him.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
He's unhinged, like completely.
Speaker 5 (35:25):
Uned right, right, No, I don't think as bad as
his brother, but yes, he's unhinged. Also, well, I just.
Speaker 4 (35:30):
Don't think we see it because Arizona State stayings probably right.
Speaker 5 (35:33):
Well, yeah, you're you're probably right about that.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
But I feel like every single time I watch.
Speaker 4 (35:38):
Him, I feel like he's losing his mind about something too,
So what do you do? He's winning, he's went back
to back national championships. Right, they're not as good this year,
but I mean, right now, doesn't really matter if you're
good or bad.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
So, like, what do you do? How do you address this?
If you're you? If at all?
Speaker 5 (35:56):
He called an official, uh a blanking blank okay. And
I have to assume you're doing it on purpose, okay,
because Chris, you and I have gotten heated. I don't
know how many times in our course of doing radio
a lot for our life, and if we ever used
the F bomb, we've had control. We've had control. We've
(36:19):
had control enough so that we wouldn't curse or do
anything like that. He doesn't have control of himself. He
really does it. It's Steve Kerr once said he would
never talk to anybody like he does to officials. He goes.
He just he just you would never do anything like that.
It's gotten crazy, it really has. I can understand why officials,
(36:40):
it's hard to recruit them right now. But he's he's
he's over the top, Chris, and something's got to be
done about this because it's getting out of hand.
Speaker 4 (36:48):
I guess my biggest question would be at what point
is it too much?
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Right?
Speaker 5 (36:54):
Is falling on the floor and rolling around and cursing
and calling them words that we can't even say on
the air. That's not even a curse word. I mean
words that you're politically is not correct. I mean, doing
every call him, every name in the book. How is
that supposed to help you? What that's supposed to get
to the next call? I mean not if you complain
(37:16):
every time, it's not going to get to the next call.
Is it is too much?
Speaker 3 (37:20):
It's a lot.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
I can't argue with you right now, And I don't
know in the end what's considered to be too much
for Yukon administration. But there's got to be a point
where it's like, hey, dude, we're happy that we're winning titles,
but you're embarrassing the program right now. This has got
to stop. And I think the only thing that'll do
that is losing.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
I'd like to see an opposing coach go, hey, you
got the l stop acting like a horse's ass.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
Would how about that? Huh when we come back to
the tyroch like that. No he doesn't, No, he doesn't.
But if he wins two titles, I mean he might
you never know. We got to hit your tweets to
the show next right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.
Speaker 5 (38:11):
You Mary Mack, Actually, no, no, no, no, no, no,
no no, I picked a song. You know what she
said to me. Why would you pick such a boring
song groove with? Don't you have something you can groove with?
I'm like, this is Steely Dan.
Speaker 7 (38:27):
No, no, you canna say that.
Speaker 5 (38:29):
You said I don't groove this.
Speaker 10 (38:30):
Is Steely Dan.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
I don't care.
Speaker 7 (38:33):
It's like a closing out show, like a closing out song.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
Yeah, He's like, this is our final segment.
Speaker 7 (38:38):
That's what I said.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
No, I mean this would be a great song to
listen to you and I'm going to sleep.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
It is like a Hall of the stop it I
was pressing, right, It's not well, it's a depressing The
lyrics are depressing. It's a about a girl who cheats
on her husband. So that's a little depressing.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
There.
Speaker 7 (38:57):
Everything is everything okay at home, man.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
This is like one of the there is like a
Hall of Fame band. You knuckle ahead.
Speaker 6 (39:05):
I was just asking, you know what I mean, you
part the song up and you tell what it's about, like,
are you are you in beth O?
Speaker 3 (39:10):
I was.
Speaker 5 (39:11):
I was jamming to this too, just a complication. I thought,
you don't groove well, I kind of groove a little bit.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
Okay, Finals everywhere in the NBA, Thunder hold off the Warriors,
one oh five, one hundred. Martin will have all the
score updates coming up here in just a bit.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
We got we Scott basketball going on. In college hoops.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
It's just started to in Hawaii.
Speaker 4 (39:33):
The Dayton Flyers lead Yukon fourteen tonight. Are you going
to be watching to see if, Yes, if Danny Hurley
loses his mind again.
Speaker 5 (39:41):
Absolutely, I'm gonna be watching to make sure he loses.
Speaker 3 (39:44):
Tomorrow, Arizona and Oklahoma.
Speaker 5 (39:46):
Five o'clock Eastern.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
Give you a beatle for Atlantis.
Speaker 5 (39:49):
Okay, do you know the Do you have a line
of hoops?
Speaker 4 (39:53):
I don't think they usually release hoops lines in college
basketball until the day of anymore.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
No.
Speaker 4 (40:01):
No, yeah they did, but there's a line out there
for it. But I'm just telling you they don't do that.
In Kyleege hoops usually until the morning of the games.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
So let me see.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
You've got like you got a handful of them out
here right now according to ESPN Bets, others like you've
got three and a half for TCU and Santa Clara,
but you don't have a spread yet for Oklahoma and Arizona.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
So don't no, no, no, me. You don't gamble, you
don't bet, so how could you not?
Speaker 5 (40:26):
I got my ten thousand dollars on the line.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
You went, oh for eight. No, I'm talking.
Speaker 5 (40:34):
With my parlay bet.
Speaker 3 (40:35):
How you feeling about it right now?
Speaker 5 (40:37):
I'm not feeling good about it, not good at all.
I'll be honest with you.
Speaker 4 (40:42):
There's a lot of really part of it. Yeah, well
I don't think you should right now. We got a
lot of tweets we got to get to. And I
was informed during the last segment that we actually have
a New York Jets fan in with us tonight. So Arnie,
since we did our contractually obligated set on Aaron Rodgers,
when we come back our version of Jason Smith tonight,
(41:05):
Ian Roddy will give us his take on what the
Jets should do as a Jets fan with Aaron Rodgers us.
Speaker 5 (41:11):
Yes, oh go ahead. I was going to read a
tweet too that was only sent to me. Well, gosh,
were you're luady out of time? Says here your NFL
picks are pathetic and impressive at the same time. That's
from Nature Boy.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
That is well, they I mean impressive in that they're
just so incredibly bad.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
I mean, I guess that's right, right.
Speaker 4 (41:32):
So it goes from not only are they bad, but
they're so bad it's almost like, wow, he must be
doing this on purpose. When we come back to the
tirack dot com studios, what we call the Power hour
are the Bonus Hour next
