your families. God, hope you guys all ate well. Man
watch football today.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Relax.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
You know, Arnie, Thanksgiving is one of those holidays I'd
tell people all the time.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
It's like fourth of July.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Right, we know the meaning behind it, right, we know
what could have been or what couldn't have been, Like
you know Christopher Columbus and the Pilgrims in the Indian
You know what I'm saying. I always tell people those
are two holidays. Throw throw the history book out the window.
They're just good days to get up with people that
you don't normally see, and eat food, and be around

(01:20):
events and things that you don't normally be around. Like,
for instance, Thanksgiving, it's the only time of year I
eat cranberry sauce. It's the only day in the year
I eat either stuffing or dressing. Fourth of July it's
the only time of year I think about fireworks, like
I don't care about fireworks any other day of the

(01:41):
year than Fourth of July. So Thanksgiving is one of
those days. So I hope all our fans, everybody out
there part of the Fox Sports Radio, Fox Sports and
FS one family, Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
I hope you guys just enjoyed.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Your families and enjoyed eating good food and just a
tradition of Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
You know, when we fill this and I think it
was last week, I don't even remember that's Saturday or
such something like that. You said. It took me by
surprise when you said it's gonna be our fourth Thanksgiving. Yeah,
working together, And I'm a little disappointed at you because
every year on Facebook. You always put pictures of your
grade spread.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
What you cook.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I'm like, let me go to Vjay's Facebook, see what
he's got called no pictures up there by Fred very disappointed.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
No this spread. The last two years I have not cooked.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
And that's because the year before last I cooked the
entire Thanksgiving dinner all by myself, Like I mean, from
appletizers to desserts, like down to the apple pie, down
to the sweet potato pie, which I brought two of
them in here to the studio, and they devoured them.
They by the time the show was over, I looked

(02:48):
in the break room, whatnot left but crust and crumbs,
like they devoured both of the two sweet potato pies
I bought in here. But you know what, Arnie, I
felt unappreciated, and I don't feel like men. I'm listen, man,
there's Thanksgiving men sitting around right now shaking their head
and agreeing with me.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Because right, fried turkey is the new thing.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Right, that's been a new crazy what about a decade
or about ten to fifteen years, right, who's normally out
in the driveway in the backyard frying the turkey? Though
it's not normally Auntie, our grandma and weella. It's either Papa,
our grandpappy, our grandpa, our dad.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Do y'all tell dad? Thank you?

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Do y'all tell dad? How do you know how many
houses burned? Look at this people listening. Do you know
how many houses burned down Thanksgiving Day? Because people mess
up Friday turkey? It's a dangerous job.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
And I wonder how all the time too, all the time, and.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
I wonder how many families really go?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (03:42):
He godank Granddad for frying that turkey and not burning
down the damn house or the barn or the shed
or the garage.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Y'u back.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
I felt very unappreciated that I made. And that's the
show you commented on it. You're like VJ, Come on, man,
these pictures you posted. I say, yeah, man, I made
the whole spread, and I didn't feel appreciated.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
I say, you know what, I'm not cooking a damn
day for the.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Next We'll just start order again out there. We want to,
but you know what, we want to wish everybody a
happy things.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Yes, absolutely, Look, we know.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Some people out there couldn't be with family or didn't
want to be with family.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I'm about to say either way, where your family is always,
we appreciate your listening.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
As we said our fourth straight year working together on Thanksgiving,
if you want to reach out to us, we love
to hear from you on Twitter always the best way.
Were you listening? How are you listening? And obviously a
lot to get a hold of so uh Vjay's Twitter
at Big Vanilla Funny of course it always at stinking
genius One love to hear from you on this Thanksgiving

(04:48):
always wondering what people are doing during the holidays. I
had an interesting day. I'll get to that later on Vjay.
It was absolutely hectic for me, but.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Lots going on a foolish day Alreadie, Yeah, I did
you got a fool of You didn't have it. You
didn't have an eventful day, You had a foolish day.
But I'll let you tell the story.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Well, we'll get to that later on. But what I
love about working holidays, whether it's Thanksgiving or even Christmas, Yep,
there's actually games on Christmas Eve and Christmas and Thanksgiving
and the day after Thanksgiving and the weekend of in
college football and NFL, and no shortage of games today obviously,
right off the bat. We're big Dolphin fans out there,

(05:26):
real disappointed. The worst half of football I've seen the
Dolphins play in a long long time. We just gave
this game away, shot ourselves in the foot. I'll let
you start off. I mean how you feel now? Down
twenty four to three, the seasons in the balance were
half away from being eliminated.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
I'm not worried about tonight.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
If you remember when we did the show Saturday, I
reeled Dolph the Dolphins because remember the must win games
that we listed, and you and I both had the Dolphins.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
You picked the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
You were wrong.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
I picked the Dolphins to win and I said we
would cover. I was right.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
But the two games I had question marks over, well,
what we're probably the two tough road games, which is
tonight and then there's a game at the Texans in
about two weeks. Those are the two games that I
kind of looked at and go, okay, we go get them. Cool,
but the bum ass Jets twice. I believe the Browns
and the Niners, we're gonna win all those games. Miami's

(06:18):
just got to get the ten and seven. I don't
like nine and eight, nine in eight leaves way too much.
The chance leaves way too much to see what the
Broncos are doing, what the Colts are doing, what the
Bengals may come back and do, what's gonna happen with
the Chargers. Like that, the nine and eight leaves too much.
Ten and seven, I think you're good when Tua came back.
That was the mark that I put on Martin and VJ.

(06:39):
When Martin and I were talking about I said, we
get the ten and seven.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
We're in.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Mart said, no way, You're not getting the tennis. I
think we can get the ten and seven. We get
the tennisaid win. This is a game I had a
question mark over. And it's not even the weather, it's
not the code or anything like that. They get a
stop on the first drive. You can't fumble that pun
if you're in League Washington, and you heard the commentator
with Jason Garret, he said it perfectly, because it's what
I've told our punt returner when I was coaching high

(07:04):
school football this year.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
You catch with your feet.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
And I remember him looking at me with this look,
and I knew he didn't know what I was talking about,
and I'm like, you know what I'm talking about did
you no, coach, I don't, which means you catch with
your feet. Your feet have to be directly under you.
You cannot lean left, you cannot lean right, You cannot
lean backwards, you cannot lean forward. Our put return this
year fumbled three punts. You know why he fumbled the
three punts because his feet were off. Every time we

(07:29):
did film study, I paused and say, you see where
your feet are? Hey, hey, you see where your feet
I'm not Gonnaut the kid's name out there, but I
call him Chris. Hey, Chris, you see where your feed are?
You see what your feet are. You can't do that,
and you give them the ball on what the eleven
to twelve? That's that's seven point tr after holding him,
after holding him right off the bat to not just
holding him, shutting him down, like shut him down. They
tried to run the football Kalai Is, Campbell and Zeeler

(07:49):
right up in the middle.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
That's a four year all loss. Then three incomplete passes.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Hey, yeah, punt the ball like we shut the offense
down when you were on the road. Three things you
cannot do. You cannot have stupid penalties. Turn to look
at our first drop how many penalties do we have?
Look at the second drive, how many penalties do we have?
And you cannot have turnovers and you must run the football.
Go check the rushing yards. They're killing us in rushing
yards right now. So, to be honest with you, even
as a lifelong Dolphin fan, tonight was a question mark

(08:15):
game for me. I didn't know if they were gonna
win or gonna lose. Of course I want them to win.
I don't want them to lose. But going on the
road against a quality team that's playing in a tough division,
right they got the lines and they got the vikings
in that division, Tonight was one of those question mark games.
I'm not oh God, the sky's falling the seasons, No,
this was one of the games that had a question
mark about it's going about to plan as I.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Thought to it.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Listen, we could have got points right there before the
half to a missus a chain. A chain's open, and
it's just off. It's just an off throw. And he
had been on all night long. So once again, we're
not gonna do this weather thing. It's not blistering cold
out there. You don't even see the guy's breath. So
it's not blistering cold out there's twenty this is twenty six,
twenty seven degrees. You live in Vermont, Okay, where it

(08:59):
gets but blow zero, you know, Cole, It's just one
of those games. They're on the road. It's a better
team right now. We're not playing well. That's why you
see the score.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Score probably on your partner's side on this one. I
don't think the Dolphins can get in at ten and seven.
The Chargers have four losses, and for them to make
up three games in the lost come, it's.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Gonna be just the Charger they would have. There's not
just Chargers.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I don't know it's Denver, but Denver does have two
easy games out of what five that they have remaining, so.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
They also have The Chargers had to head too, so remember.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
I believe they have Kansas City too. I just think
it's going to be so tough. I wanted this one.
I feel like that the season is coming to an
end over this half, and I feel like they should
have been more prepared. I'm looking at the coach, I'm like,
do something. You look like a chemistry tutor, and I'm
waiting for you to give me the answer. You're not
teaching me you're not doing anything, you know. I like

(09:53):
that he went forward on fourth down. But Green Bay
is just destroying us, and their offense really isn't that good.
Love to even have a great game this week. I
don't know what to say. I guess we really don't
deserve it. But the company that I have a half
like this that that fumble punt just set the tone,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (10:08):
The fumble punts set the tone exactly. The fumble punt
set the tone. But here's the thing. Yeah, they have
twelve first down to our eight. All right, we have
seven passing turns. As far as first downs, they only
have five. The yardage the total plays is twenty eight
to thirty one. Right, Okay, you look the yards passing
one oh seven and one eleven. The game is in
the rushing. It's one o two to fourteen. That's not

(10:30):
Mike McDaniel. That's that's the offensive line need and the
block and open holes for our running back and and
we've been sacked twice, but that that's eleven yards. Okay, cool,
it's in the rushing we don't even have And the
six penalties don't don't help.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
They got five. You see what I'm saying. But here's
the thing. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
It's an even game down it's it's and as they're
showing the hollyways right now in the game, the turnovers
and running the football, it's it's as elementary in football
one oh one. It's football can be and it's always
been since this game is been created. If you cannot
run the football on the road, and you turn the
ball over on the road, you have no shot.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
That's not the coach.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
No illusions of coming back in the second half of
winning this game.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
No, I mean, they would be cool.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
No, Brolyn, you just got to call it what it is.
But like I said, I I had this as a
question mark gain Saturday when we filled in and did
it well, you filled in for Martin. This was one
of my question mark gains. So tonight doesn't surprise me.
So therefore I'm not up in arms about it. I
didn't pick us to win. I just I thought this
was a question mark game.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
All right, Let's get to some of the other earlier games. Say,
everybody talked about the first game Bears and Lions, Lions
winning twenty three to twenty. Of course, right to the
ending where the Bears get sacked VJ. There was about
what thirty seconds left? Is that what it was?

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Twenty eight seconds, Yeah, something like that's the thirty twenty
eight second. I want to say twenty eight because I
remember it was in the twos. The clock is running,
it would be as it is right there right then,
it's about a fifty eight to sixty yard er. I
believe if they wanted to attempt a field goal, they
have one time out. You gotta line up, and you

(12:11):
gotta make a player. You got to call time out
immediately and set up a play. If you don't get it,
then you kick the big field goal. If you get
some yards and go out of bounds, then you go
ahead and kick the field goal, which is a little
bit closer. I can't understand the time management on this,
to have a timeout in your back pocket and the

(12:32):
clock to just run like that. I was just perplexed.
I for a minute, I thought, is there something wrong
with me? Do they not have a timeout? Is that
something all? We all wrong? I couldn't believe what I
was watching when I saw this.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Yeah, this is but you know what, it didn't shock me.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
And that's the and That's the growing sentiment out here
today is, oh man, I couldn't believe what I was.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Why not?

Speaker 1 (12:54):
This is what they've been, this is who they are.
It's last year.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
It's amazing to me how they they moved on from
Justin Fields. This was supposed to be a so much
better thing. I thought they were a five or six
win team. That was my prediction when the season started.
I didn't have Kyla Williams winning Rookie of the Year.
We know that's not gonna happen. That's not close. That's
gonna happen. My pick's not gonna work out either, but
he's not winning it. But this is who Matt ebra

(13:20):
Flus is. You should have fired him last year. You
should have fired him last year. Now, now Caleb Williams
has to start next year with probably a new head coach,
a new offensive coordinator, a new offensive system, a new voy.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
In year two, he's.

Speaker 4 (13:35):
Already got a second now, a second coulture and system.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
He has to a day.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
You don't do young rookie quarterbacks this way. They should
have been tired this guy.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
After what we've seen. That's gonna go ahead and be
a positive out there. Absolutely outrageous that that could happen.
Why doesn't every coach have like a guy who's in
charge of his time outs and situations and they say, Okay,
what are we gonna do if he gets sacked? If
it goes here? You don't have him right next to you.

(14:05):
Are we calling time out? Everybody looks like like a
deer in the headlights, like they have no idea, Like
it's the first time they're in this situation. And you
coach football, There's must have been plenty of times. I mean,
do you guys flub it up? Even in the high
school level. You know when the call of timeout, When
the call of timeout.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Yes, I am a timeout free I was a timeout
freak this year. And I'm not just saying that because
you're asking. I'm being serious, meaning I was a guy
that I always knew how many we had, right, I
always knew how many timeouts we had.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
It and when the call it.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
There were times as the assistant offensive coordinator wide receivers coach,
I would look at the head coach. I wouldn't ask.
I would tell him, hey, coach, we got two I'm
burning one. Okay, go ahead, coach, Yeah, I'm burning one.
I'm not asking you I need to take one you
need You should trust me. I'm one of your coaches.
I don't like what I see in the huddle, and
I don't like seeing the formation, and I got a
guy out there that doesn't know where to line up.
We have two there's you know, two minutes left in

(14:55):
the first half. I'm burning one, right.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
But that's different than when the clock is running in
it's four, you know, with thirty seconds left in the game.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
But still you still got to know that though.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
And also to answer your question there, I think all
these teams do have these people in place, but there's
a lot of ego and pro sports RNIE that's just
not seen and accounted for because we only care about
the stars and the storylines and the false narratives and
stuff that people put out there. As far as like
TV and radio debate shows and stuff. There are some
guys out there that don't want somebody to have a

(15:24):
little power of Hey keep but keep you know, in
charge of my time outs. Your coaching staff is is
a vision of how good the coach is. Right, So
look at Andy Reid. Do you ever see this happening
with Andy Reid? No? Do you ever see this happening
with like like a Pete Carroll or Bill Belichick. No, no,

(15:45):
but their staffs are tremendous. Why because they're all on
the same accord. You have to trust your people to
be able to delegate things.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
You have a son.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
When your son first started learning to cut the grass,
you watch them the first few times, and then there's
a day you go, you know what, buddy, get out
there and cut that grass. And you trust it that
he knew what to do. You gave him the responsibility.
He knows to go left or right, not right to
left because you don't like the way that looks. He
knows to get the hedges at the hedge trimmer out
the weed whacker and get the hedges and get the

(16:14):
edges right on the sidewalk. Like, you have to trust
the people that is underneath you.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
VJ. I'll ahead and push back in one situation here,
let's say in this case your son is Caven Williams.
You didn't teach him well because he was like a
deer in the headlights. Also, yes, we could blame Muber,
who's all we want, but he's the quarterback.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
He's part of it too. He's part.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
He has to say, okay, guys, let's get going, let's
get this playoff. Or he had to know right when
he got sacked, he's gonna jump up and call him there.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
They're yelling at him, get the yelling at him to
snap the ball, right, they're yelling at him to snap.
This is why and I tweeted this. I don't know
if you saw this really fact, this is why tweeted
earlier this week. Can we please stop using the word generational?
Just stop throwing that damn word around in this business.
It was like the word like fifteen years ago a quarterback,
remember when the word elite started being used.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Isn't the elite quarterback? Or is he just a guy? Elite? Elite? No,
you're either a great quarterback or you're just not. You're either.
Generational means that when.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
You step on the field, are you step on the court,
are you step on the racetrack?

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Are you step on the golf court?

Speaker 4 (17:18):
That means you, like Tiger Woods, was generational the minute
he stepped on the golf course as a pro.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
We saw it.

Speaker 4 (17:25):
All I keep hearing is how generational Caleb Williams is.
And he makes good quarterback mistakes not generation generational guys
don't make that mistake. So I just that's what I'm
saying that to say, today's on him too. But Ibra
Fluse is the guy that they're not gonna cut him right.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
No, they're gonna fire.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Of course. All right, you could get a hold of
us that big vanilla funny. I'magetinking genius. So one, we're

great Thanksgiving out there. Or if you're still leading or

for the guys tonight Jason Smith and his best tread
Mike Harmon right here on Fox Sports Radio. We're live,
of course at the Tireck dot Com studios Here on
Fox Sports Radio, it's getting worse for my Dolphins, VJ.
Because you don't seem too worried about what's going on.

(18:50):
I feel the end of the season's coming to an end.
Twenty seven to three right.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Now, say that in August.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
You text me last night the season was over because
Jalen Ramsey got her in training camp. Nothing that, yes
she did. Yes, you text me that. I don't listen
to nothing. I love you, brother, you know that, but
I don't listen to a damn thing. Was right then
when it comes into Miamia, well, it's over.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
For everybody other than who was the Super Bowl?

Speaker 2 (19:16):
I know. It's just I.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Feel like this. I believe this. VJ.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Yeah, well, I guess.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
How he is.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
Bro's like, I don't listen to nothing. Arn't he say
about none of the TG The man will eat fresh
vegetables from his own garden.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Like you guys understand, how blessed you don't eat vegetables.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
No, who eats vegetables? Nobody eats vegetables.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Vegetables same here.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Yeah, it does not look good right now. As we said,
the Packers are leading twenty seven to three. Right now
over the Dolphins about seven and a half minutes left
in the third one earlier game today, guys, the Giants
and the Cowboys. Cowboys win a twenty seven to twenty
Not really much to play for here, just to see
if the Cowboys can continue with the Street Cooper rush

(19:59):
the quarterback. Yay, nothing to write home about, but not
with the big mistake that caused them the game or
anything like that. Really not a whole lot of frills
in this one VJ. But the Cowboys coming on top
of this one.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
That's been very uneventful today.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
If it wasn't for the blunder at the end of
the Bears game, they would have been nothing as far
as NFL to talk to today. This game was just
funny to me because they waved the Giants, they cut
wave whatever, Daniel Jones right, and then you put on
Tommy DeVito. And I said on Saturday that I thought
that Brian Dables' job could be a little hot if

(20:36):
the Bucks went in there and spank their ass, which
they did.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
They went in there and embarrassed them right then the
vitle gets hurt. So now you're down to Drew Lot.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Now remember Drew Locke wentn't too happy because he was
saying that, hey, I was bought in to be the backup.
That's what I was. That's why I came here. That's
what I was told I was gonna be. And now
you're telling me you're playing. You know, Tommy DeVito, he
gets a shot at it today.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
He has the open and drive rushing touchdown, and you think, okay,
all right, man, here we go. You might be able
to prove yourself.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
And then you know, proof is always in to put
it in. And everybody that knows me knows I can't
stand put it. But you know I can't. It's a
disgusting snack. I guess you sound like you see you
look like you look like you put you look like
you do? You like snacky packs, don't I know? Chocolate
of vanilla?

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Spill it.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
I'll get the mixed pack.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Oh my god, you mix it.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
My wife hates those things. She thinks so bad.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
They're discussing they're just as bad as jello. But anyway,
proof is in to put him. As the game goes on,
I will say this about Dallas. Remember when people thought,
don't pay Dak because Cooper Rush went four one.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
When Dak was out those five.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
People need to stop this stuff man about not paying
quarterbacks because a backup looks okay.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
When that guy is out, Dallas' year is over.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
If I'm Dallas, I'm not resetting, but there's some harsh
questions and some harsh things I need to discuss in
the offseason. I thought they should have paid Micah over
cd CD with three drops. Today I've been telling people
his drop seas and he's a yeah guy. He doesn't
run great routes. Everything is kind of just his athletic ability.
And that's not knocking him. I'm just saying what he is.
I think Dallas has some harsh questions they gotta they

(22:16):
have to ask themselves. I don't like them winning these
games and improving their record because there's a running back
and a little city called Boise that I think would
fit really well, that would fit really well in Dallas.
And if you're drafting nine ten, I don't think he's
gonna be there. If I'm Dallas, man, I'm trying to
reset this thing, and you know, get a running back

(22:40):
because they can't run the ball at all. Back to
the Giants just really fast, really quick. I'm not sure
we'll talk about this A little later. I thought, I saw, Yeah,
I see today thirty by Primes. Next move Giants, they
decide to do something with Brian Dable, they end up
being the worst team in the league or having at
least like the nenumber two pick, because like Jacksonville gets

(23:02):
number one, they're not going to take a quarterback because
they got one.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Right, Hey, I'm just throwing it out there.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
New York City, bright Lights, big market, who like, do
you think he couldn't handle that?

Speaker 1 (23:12):
And they would be able to draft this sun Just
throwing it out there. No, No, just throwing it out there.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
I've been saying that that was one of my theories
all so I think that, you know, it's a possibility.
And then again, somebody could always trade for number one
with Jacksonville and that would put up Jacksonville would have
to be willing to do it though, Right, But if
they're not going to take a quarterback, then they can.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
Take Travis Hunter and have an all around great football
player they need really bad, right, But he other.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Think he's going to be the number two pick. They
I saw a mock draft that I actually had. The
wide receiver from Arizona McMillan the sixth six, that guy
kick Paul or Remember, I know he plays on a
team that was really bad this year. Last year they
played on a team they were very good.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Is he a better football player than Travis Hunter? Yes?
Or no?

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Yes? Wide receiver?

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (23:59):
Oh wow, yeah I don't agree with that, but okay.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Travis, Well he is believe player though, well football player.
Nobody's better than hundred bus He plays both ways. There
you go. I don't know if he'll play both ways
though in the NFL full time. Actually I don't. I
don't think you will. I think that'd be too much
to ask for him right off the bat. I think
you'd have to probably play corner. I don't think they
would use him as a wide receiver except maybe special occasion.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
What do you think?

Speaker 4 (24:22):
Game is not as tough as it used to be.
Remember they don't hit as much in practice, they don't.
Game is different now, man, I could see it happen
and maybe not. You know, eighty plays a Sunday, but
I can see him being on both sides of the ball.
Situational offense, I agree with you, more of a of
a stout corner, but situational A lot on offense because
you just can't keep that type of talent on the sideline.

(24:44):
When your offense is putrich this year and you can't
score the football. You get a guy like him. You
kind of kill two birds with one stone, as the
old man used to say.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
All right, we know that Daniel Jones with the Minnesota
I want to talk about that a little bit. I
want to get into Aaron Rodgers. I want to get
to Antonio Pierce's cos a lot to get to. First,
all are first check the night to see what's trending.
We check in with our buddy Martin. Wise, what's going on?

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Martin? Not much, Arnie, and great to be back.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Man.

Speaker 3 (25:11):
It had fun yesterday and now we get to do
it again today. How was the drive down the stove?

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Yeah, don't We'll get to that later on Martin. Pretty
pretty hectic, my friend, pretty active, I can imagine.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
I'm sure the weather was a little rough and that
was a story, big storyline in the Packers Dolphins game
about this cold weather. You see a little guys, you know,
little guys breathing smoke, a couple guys with you know,
the sisty mask as the kids call them, covering their
faces and then heads trying to stay warm. Unfortunately for
the Miami Dolphins at offense, not warming up quite yet.

(25:43):
Twenty seven to three right now, four minutes left in
the third quarter to a tongue of our lower right
now eighteen for twenty four, one hundred and forty six
through the year, only twenty seven rushing yards as a
team right now for the Dolphins. Rahem Moster has sixteen
divine h chan four carries five yards, Jordan Love fifteen
for Night Team, one seventy seven through the air and
two touchdowns. One hundred and eight on the ground for

(26:03):
Green Bay, Josh Jacobs leading them with thirty seven yards
on thirteen carries. He also has a touchdown. Jordan Loves
thrown for two of them. Like I said, Jayden Reeds
caught them both. Earlier today we saw the Giant The
Cowboys beat the Giants twenty seven to twenty. Ric o'dowdle
one twelve rushing and a touchdown. The Giants the first
team in the NFL to be eliminated from playoff contention.

(26:26):
The Lions beat the Bears in the first game of
the day after trailing sixteen or nothing in the first half.
Kayleb Williams threw three touchdown passes in the second half
in a comeback attempt that would eventually be foiled by
his head coach Matt Eberflus, neglected a call time out
as the clock ticked down from sixty second from thirty
seconds to six seconds. This is what it sounded like

(26:47):
on the Lions radio broadcast. Dan Miller and Lomas Brown
on ninety seven on the.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Ticket crows it deep down field.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
It is a game outon in complete. That's it. What
in the world with a person the game it's over? Wait, man,
you talked about the world of proctice man.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
So that's the Lions Radio network saying, I basically I
cannot believe that this game is over. This is what
Matt Ebraflu's had to say about the decision making at
the end of the game.

Speaker 6 (27:15):
I think we handled it the right way, but I
do believe that uh just re wreck the play, get
it in bounce and call time out, and that's why
we held it and didn't work out the way we
wanted it to.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
So those keep his score at home. That's Matt Ebrafu saying,
I think we handled it the right way. Lions Radio
Network says.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
What is he doing? What the hell? What is he?

Speaker 4 (27:30):
What the hell you've got to be I'm gonna be quiet,
well I start cussing in in trouble.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Four minutes, five minutes of thirty seconds left in this
AAC matchup between Memphis and two Lane. If two Lane
wins the game, they will host the AAC Championship game.
Right now, the Tigers up twenty seven to seventeen on
the green wave. Devon Achan just scored a touchdown for
the Dolphins. Is now twenty seven to nine extra point
pending us to what catches a snap? He's looking He

(27:56):
throws the ball up to the end zone. The catches
made inbounds. It looked like to me, Jyalen Waddle with
the two point conversion, that'll make your score twenty seven
to eleven, and I'm kicking it back to two Dolphins
fans who were just a little bit happier than they
were when I started this.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Over there, you go, Thank you very much, Martin VJ. Husky,
Arnie Spaniar in for the guys, Jason Smith and his
best friend Mike Harmon on this Thanksgiving Hope everybody's enjoying
themselves out there. You want to get a hold of us.
Tell us where you're listening, how you're listening. Hope you
had a great Thanksgiving at Big Vanilla Funny, at Stinking
Genius one you were at Martin. Touchdown there and the

(28:32):
two pointer twenty seven to eleven, late third, about three
minutes left, still time to come back. You can't really
rely on two touchdowns and two two point conversions, so
you'll probably have to get three scores enough time to
do it. Can they pull this off and still come back?
Or what are you thinking of? Vjay?

Speaker 4 (28:48):
I mean it sounds good. I mean it sounds good
on paper. Yeah, it sounds good on paper. It sounds
good as a fan. But I'm not that guy. Man,
I'm not that fan. I don't think irrationally like you said,
two touchdowns, two point versions. This is the only way
it can happen. The defense needs to turn over on
this drive, right the defense has The defense has to
bow up. They're getting run on right now. Okay, they're

(29:09):
they're getting run on. It's one ow eight to twenty seven.
They're getting running. The defense needs to bow up and
they need to calls a turn like someone go punch
a ball out someone goes stripsack love like someone, go.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
Make a play that.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
The one thing I love about football is that the
the cream rises to the top all the time when
it is most needed.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
That's what great teams and good teams are. Great players do.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
Like right now, Jalen Ramsey, go make you're the big dog,
Go make a player. I got a chance to interview
and talk to Jayalen Ramsey when I covered the Rams
and the Dolphins Monday night game. I knew Jayalen Ramsey
was a big guy. I did not know Jalen Ramsey
was that damn big. He is every bit of six
three six y four in about two tens. No, he doesn't,
but he is, though, brother, he is a big cornerback.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
But when he was coming out of Florida State, that
was the thing.

Speaker 4 (29:57):
He's big, he's long, he's rangy, he's but they say
that about everybody, and then when you meet him, it's like, Wow,
you're you're You're a big quarter man, You're bigger.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
No wonder you can lock guys down.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
I wonder if you've gotten three extension deals from three
different franchises and you're a Super Bowl champion, are probably
gonna be a Hall of Famer. But a guy like
that Jalen Ramsey, go make a play instead of coming
up to make the to just a take a with
you're already down sixteen, Take a punch, take us swipe
at the ball, get a turnover. Klays Campbell, Zealer up front.
Chop Robinson. Chop Robinson has been on fire. It's like

(30:28):
he's a guy that's figured it out. It took him
a little while, but he's figured out how to use
his attributes in the NFL and how to get to
the quarterback. Go make a play now. Even if the
Packers punt on this drive, it's not gonna help. If
they run out the quarter. It's left in the quarter
to forty three to third, it's not gonna help. If
they run out the quarter, they pick up a first

(30:48):
down to two and then maybe you get a sack,
and now they got a punt and it's eleven something left,
twelve twelve some change left in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
That's not gonna help this drive.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
Right now, somebody's got to go make a play and
get a turnover. Just putting the ball back and forth,
putting the ball back to Miami is not is not gonna.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Do now, my I think Miami would have a game
or two extra wins if they had this one person
and the one person I'm talking about, not Patrick Mahomes
or anything like that. If they had this one person,
they would have one or two extra wins. And he
was available. Now his name is Daniel Jones, because we
did have a proper backup, and he would have been great.

(31:25):
You know what, he would have been great. I think
coming for the four games. How many games did he missed?
He missed five games. We won one in four VJ.
I believe in those five games that that to have
miss we could have done a lot better. We looked
horrible against what the Titans and the Sea Aws.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
And the Titans just went on the road. Oh, by
the way, remember my upset pick last week the Titans.
The Titans just went on the road and beat the
Texas in Houston, right right?

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Okay, well and we'll get to that. But a couple
of things. So I guess you don't think that Daniel
Jones is uh is a guy that's going to make
a difference and probably a waste of a signing.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
By no, I think Danel Jones sucks. I don't think
Daniel Jones is a good NFL starting quarterback. He's a
journey He's gonna be a jury. He's Mitchell Trubisky. Like
a team reached for him, he went to If he
was so good, then why why why do the end
up in Duke? If he's so good, did why he
end up at a school like that? Had a school
like I'm gonna answer that. What about Sam Donald? Would

(32:21):
we have said the same thing about Sam Donald?

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Dude, I hated Sam Donald.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
I didn't think Sam Donald was good at Uscord.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
This but look what he's done this year on a
different team. Look at sa Quon Barkley when he was
on the Giants compared to what he's on with Philadelphia.
Look how these guys get better when they're on a
better team. Is Daniel Jones could be better on a better.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
Team, No dancer is gonna be knowing Sam Donald started
off hot, he's really tailed off. They've been able to
get wins, but go put the tape on. It's not
because of Sam Donald. He's like his best that he's
ever played me at he played his best the first
five or six weeks of this season. We're in week
twelve now. It is starting to show. Listen, Like I said,
just go put the tape on. That defense has been good.

(33:05):
He's got weapons, galory, and I'm not trying to knock
a quarterback with weapons, because every quarterback needs weapons. But
this is it's an anomaly. We won't see this again.
We haven't seen it before. He's got he got to
a new team, new place. Listen, if JJ McCarthy doesn't
get hurt, he's not even on the field anyway, and
they're probably still the same football team. They're probably still

(33:25):
the exact same football team. If JJ McCarthy doesn't blow
his knee out and have the season enderminiscus surgery.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
Why do you think so many teams were interested in
and the men there was talking about Las Vegas wanting
to pick him up. You heard rumors about Miami using
him as a backup. I mean there was about what
five or six teams. I know a lot of it
was a backup there in a backup situation, but teams
were interested in the.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
Way I feel about backups, you update guy right now,
my regular show host Martinos. The way I feel about backers,
I say this all the time. If you if you
were that good, you'd be a starter somewhere, because there's
not thirty two good quarterbacks in the league. So the
fact that you are a backup, that means you're not
better than any of the thirty two quarterbacks in the league.

(34:10):
There's probably twenty the twenty two good quarterbacks. The other
ten guys are just the best that team can get. Like,
think about it. Okay, there were rumors about the Vegas Raider.
Then why didn't Vegas go get him?

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Then?

Speaker 4 (34:23):
Why because they probably figured, well, we'll just keep rolling
with Gardner minshew, Well, could it be a bad situation
like a Bryce strew though or something like that, Bryce shuck?

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Excuse me?

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Could it be a bad situation, or we just say
he can't play now forget.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
About I don't think the Giants were a bad situation.
He had Sakwan Barkley, they had weapons there, Their defense
was good.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Last year.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
They went on the road and won a playoff game
in Minnesota two years ago, and that's what got him
the forty million dollar contract on fifteen interceptions.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
Let me just read these numbers to you really quick.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
So career wise, he is twenty four forty four and
one with a sixty four percent completion percentage, He's thrown
seventy touchdowns with forty seven in receptions, six point yards
attimpt fourteen thousand yard, fourteen thousand, five hundred and eighty
two yards. But the fact is is to win at
twenty four and forty four, that's twenty games below five hundred.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Pull up Trevor Lawrence's numbers and let's see what they.
I've said the.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Same thing about Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
You're not telling me nothing, brother, I've said the same
thing about Trevor Lawrence. Trevor Lawren's got fifty five million
dollars for being an under five hundred winning quarterback. I
said it the day he got the deal, because the
day to deal broke, Martin and I were on Martin
VJ here Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
So, wow, fifty five million for a guy that's under
five hundred.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
But you guys don't want to pay tour and TUA
has a better record, but you don't want.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Toa to get money.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
But you want to give this guy fifty five million
and he's under But I understand it's next man up.
You had a great question talking about Brock Party and
Brock Party's deal, and we had Ian Roddy producing our
show this past week, and we were talking about that,
like whether people think he deserves it or not. Guess
what's probably gonna happen. Rock Perty's gonna get paid. Yeah,
Well he's next guy up, Next guy Yu, next guy yup.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
Agent.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
It's gonna do his job exactly.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
All right. I'll tell you what we're gonna come back.
I want to get a little bit into what the
comments of Antonio Pierce. I do have some stuff on
Aaron Rodgers will get caught up on the game. He's VJ. Husky.
I'm Arnie Spanier. This is Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 5 (36:16):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio

Speaker 2 (36:28):
All Right, good evening, everybody, Happy Thanksgiving. VJ. Husky, Arnie
span You're in for the guys, Jason Smith and his
best friend Mike Harmon as we're live at tyrack dot
com studios right here on Fox Sports Radio. Dolphins get
a touchdown, but they get the ball back. It's gonna
be second and seven. Third quarter does come into an

(36:50):
Angelo of one quarter to make the big comeback. Twenty
seven to eleven. They're down by sixteen right now and
they're moving the ball. But VJ. I want to get
to the Raiders coach Antonio Pierce had some interesting comments
before tomorrow night Scare or tomorrow afternoons game. Here's the
coach of the Raiders and what he had to say,

(37:13):
and trust me, it was very interesting.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
Oh. I was about to say, that's great, that's good
stuff right there.

Speaker 6 (37:19):
That's called space, right, the best team in football against
the worsteam in football. Let's change a narrative, right, Just
go out there and have making a dog fight. Let's
make it ugly, just make it scrappy. He's Black Friday.
Let's create a little chaos. Well, let's get back to
greater football and have some fun. It's a personality.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Let it loose. Is he being too honest there when
he says the best team in football against the worst
team in football? Maybe true? But is that something you
want to say? Is that something you would say about
your own team as you were a coach? Would you
say that to your kids? We're the worst team in
the league. So, even if it was true, would you
say something like that. It sounds like a guy who
knows that he's not going to be around next year

(37:53):
when he says stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
There's no such thing as too much honesty. Number one.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
I think we lie to ourselves, and we lie to
children and people we love and care about, too much
of society anyway. So I actually loved it. I didn't
hear that quote. Oh yeah, absolutely, Why not tell the
truth now? To answer your question, there was a game
we played this year that we just didn't show up.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
We didn't show up and we got beat pretty good.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
We didn't get beat bad, but we got beat pretty good.
And I could I do remember myself and not just me,
just another coach. As our little post game where all
the kids are down on their knee, helmets off, looking
up at us, every coach says their thing. My part was,
you guys need a reality check. You're not good.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
You guys talk too much.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Because there was a lot of talking in practice that week,
and even going into the game, I was like, yeah,
kids talked a lot practicing. We'd have a great week
of practice, and kids talked a lot, and I looked
them all in the eye because I always moved my
eyes across the face of every kid.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
So everybody knows.

Speaker 4 (38:43):
I mean, eye, you guys talk too much, and you
guys aren't good, and you guys, you're not as good
as you think you are. And some of you guys
need to keep your mouth shut and lock back in
and actually worry about what wins games.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
And that's these pads.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
That's precision, that's practice, that's patching, that's preparation. Like you know,
I go through my speech que football games not talking,
So I don't mind him saying the truth.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
There's grown men in that locker room that make.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
Multi millions and millions of dollars that all say that
exact same thing. We're the worst team in the league.
They may not say it out live. DeVante Adams was
on receiver on Netflix talking about I gotta get out
of here before I get killed, right, But Mark Davis
doesn't want to hear that, and he's the owner of
the team, but he's the one that makes the decisions there. Well,
I mean, I don't know, I don't know if he
wants to hear it or not. You gotta ask him

(39:28):
and then and then let me know what he says.
All I know is the facts are the facts, and
the truth is the truth. Kansas City is one of,
if not the best team in football. The Vegas Raiders,
if not, is, if not the worst, one of the
worst teams in football. But look how you followed it up.
It's black Friday. Let's make it dirty. Let's not dirty.
I'm sorry, Let's suck it up. I mean, let's let's
muck it up. Man, Let's make it a muddy game.

(39:50):
Kansas City likes to play these pretty, finesse games. We
ain't gonna be pretty and finesse. We're gonna muck it up.
You know, Max Crossby, and in my HOMEI gotted thing.
So look for that tomorrow. You know, maybe a little
push off of him if he hits him and knocks
him down and falls off of him, you use him,
You use his body to get up little stuff like that.
Mahomes doesn't like. I like what he said. I have
zero issue with it.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
Real quick, do you think he'll be back next year?

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Antonio Pierce, that's a fifty to fifty coin.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
I don't know why you fire him his It's not
fair to fire guy that doesn't have a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
That's always my stance, right.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
And he's just so brand new. I mean, he's not
even been given a chance. He has no quarterback right zero, absolutely,
I agree with you there a right look. Hour one
of the books. We're just getting started. We got so
much to get to out there. You want to get
in big Vanilla Husky. I'm in stinking genius. One hour
two coming up here next, all right here on Fox
Sports Radio.
