Speaker 2 (00:22):
Ever you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Hello and welcome in side hour two the Jason Smith
Show with my best friend Mike Harmon. You Aaron Rodgers
live from the tire Rack dot Com studios. And wow,
did we just have a horrible penalty on the Rams
that could make the last eleven seconds of this game

(00:50):
extremely interesting?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
You're fired now. The Rams kick the field goal.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
By the way, shout out Joshua Cardy if you started
him in fantasy. He's the only guy you're happy you
started in fantasy. He's got four field goals. Boy, if
you start a Cooper Cup, you start building for next year.
So it's twelve six, three draft eighteen seconds left in
the game. Forty nine Ers are out of timeouts. The
Rams kickoff and they kick it deep in the end

(01:16):
zone and Deebo. Samuel decides, I'm gonna bring it out
nine yards deep. But you're like, okay, you could get
the ball at the thirty with no time coming off
the clock. But okay, I get your desk, But do
you think something could happen? Well, something did happen. Deebo
made a nice move to cut to the outside, and
then Woods trying to bring him down running along the sideline.
I mean, Deebo would have had another like three or

(01:37):
five yards maybe, but he tries to bring him down
horse collar tackle. It was easy to see grab him
from behind as he went down, went out of bounds.
Fifteen yard penalty. So now here are the forty nine
ers with eleven seconds left to go with the ball
at midfield. Now they can already throw a hail Mary,
but if they can have a quick out of bounds play,

(01:59):
obviously go. The Rams are gonna probably give them something,
you know, for five or seven yards. But all of
a sudden, this went from boy, this is over to hey,
Now things are a little interesting because of the horse
collar tackle on the kickoff.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
First, commanders, let's go right here, fifteen eighteen yard out.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
No way we go.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Look at all the Rams players. They already yelling at
the crowd, look at them. They turn around to yell
at the.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Crowd, look at that. Who is this week, Stevenson?

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Let's go uh yeah, the it's always funny though. The
horse collar tackle or the appearance of a horse collar
tackle seems to get called every time.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Yet we miss out of his face mass all the time.
Why is that?

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Well, you do it because you see the you can
see the person get yanked back.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
It's an easy thing to see. No, no, you know.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Sometimes you miss when Joe Burrow's face mask gets pulled
all the way to the side because it's in the
middle of a of a pile, and when his ear
hole is over his nose. Hey, Joe, Sorry you miss
it having to talk into your into your ear hole,
into your nose, Joe. Well sorry we missed that call. Joe,
let me fix helmet, go back in the huddle. Yeah,
it's all tongue in cheek. It's the well we don't
look at the guy who has the ball in either case.

(03:07):
But well, you wanted know something really funny. All right,
this this is a few years so I think the
statue limitation is up. But I remember talking to a
guy who was a big time collegiate ref, who was
a ref and colleague chrief in college, and you know,
this is like years ago, and I said, how do
you know if the quarterback's arm is going forward?

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Right?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
That was all, how do you know if the quarterback's
arm is going forward? And it used to be he said,
if the ball goes forward, his arm is going forward.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Like That's how it was. Just if the ball goes forward,
his arm is going forward.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Nice and simple. Okay, okay, yeah, that's how we do it,
right but simple? All right, wow, So that that's how
it was done that long ago. So it was just, oh, well,
we see it. You see the guy getting yank back
on the horse collar. It's an easy call to make,
but sometimes you miss the face mask because if a player,
if his body doesn't turn with it and go down
in a heap and twist, it's all.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
We missed the face mask. It was mahomes, mahomes, They
would call it right away.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
It's more the joke of what anything that looks like
a horse collar, even when it isn't, still draws the
flag in the discussion point versus the other. It is
really more what I'm saying, but you know this one
was clear as day in the end the old moot point,
that moot point.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
For the first time since twenty eighteen, the Rams have
defeated the forty nine Ers. The Niners had two plays.
Rock Perdy threw incomplete ball to the sideline on first down,
then when a few seconds left, it was time for
a hail Mary brock. Perdy gets sacked and the Rams
beat the forty nine Ers in the rain. A great

(04:42):
night for defense, an awful night for offense. They win
it by the final score of twelve to six. And
I don't want to say this, because you know, I
don't like to say things like this, but I kind
of do. Remember before the season started, I picked the
Rams to go to the Super Bowl. Remember that was
my preseason NFC Super Bowl pick?

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Was your Rams were still going with it? After this? Well,
they win anyway possible. Hey, it's a win. They win
anyway possible. You have to score a touchdown to make
the Super Bowl. Not tonight you didn't. No, not tonight,
you didn't.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
First game they've won, Get this justin we found this
stat first game they've won without scoring a touchdown since
twenty sixteen.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Was that your owne.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
No, who do you think was the last team the
Rams beat without scoring a touchdown?

Speaker 5 (05:26):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (05:26):
The Jets. Yeah, of course the Jets. The Rams played
the Jets next week. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
And that's the look. And that's the part of it.
That's the part of this, right, is the Rams win
this game. Look, it was a it was a really look.
It was not fun. There was not a lot of offense.
It was a game on Thursday night. But it was
a big game because the Rams now at eight and six,
are a half game out of first place in the
NFC West. Again, remember I picked the go to the
Super Bowl. They finish their schedule. They are at the Jets,

(05:54):
who are done. But it is flying three thousand miles,
so I'm sure the spread will be not what it
should be. But it's at the Jets and then their
home for Arizona and then their home for Seattle. It's
gonna come down to that game on January fifth for
the NFC West. It's gonna come down to Seattle and
the Rams. It for that you want to look back

(06:16):
because the Rams have the tiebreaker against the Seahawks if
they win that game, because they will have beaten them twice,
so all this Rams, all this difficulty. The Rams have
had the stop and go they started one and four
before they really got things going. Here they are, they
control their own destiny to win the NFC West. Remember
I picked them to go to.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
The super Bow. No, it's good.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
You got really quiet about it for a while and
it kind of shuffled to the back. But the reality is,
you know, it is a very long seventeen game season.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
We joke about it's like, oh, there's only seventeen.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
It's like, no, no, no, you play three seasons within this, right,
can you withstand the spate of injuries which they did
to their wide receiving corps. In this particular game, you
got absolutely nothing except for decoy roles for Cooper cup Well,
I thought.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
You were gonna say, I was looking like with decoy
right is Otani and decoy decoy.

Speaker 4 (07:07):
No, that would have been fun if they made their
way up to Santa Clara, but not that I'm aware of.
But when you get absolutely nothing from him, Nikua goes
for seven ninety seven had one of those ridiculous catches
the long of fifty one. The next leading receiver was
Colby Parkinson two catches twenty one yards Cooper Cup on
the night. Three targets, zero catches, and you're able to

(07:30):
escape with a win. Kyron Williams ended up with one
hundred yards, most of that in the second half where
they started to just pound the rock and stay with it.
So credit to adaptability. Look, Matthew Stafford, for all the
love hate wherever you sit on that fence. He put
his body on the line. He made a number of

(07:51):
throws that he got away with.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
You know, the old.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Interceptible pass thing that we love to do. Should it
would have could have, Well they weren't.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
They weren't.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
The balls were dropped and they were able to live
and see another day. Yeah, it was a punt fest. Yeah,
the kickers were the only heroes of the day. But
guess what, it's a win. They all count the same
and and and remember I think you left this out.
I picked them to go to the super Bowl the
beginning of the season, but if they were by preseason pick,
remember I said that.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
But that's it's a beautiful thing.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
Now.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
But to your point about you, you've got to find
different ways to win fights.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Yes, O course on Sevenday night. It's however, you need
to wait, especially the night doesn't matter.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
But as we opened the show last hour talking about
coming off of that Sunday game against Buffalo, I had
no idea what the hell I was gonna get from
from the Rams tonight.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
They would But.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
That's the thing about the Rams, right, and that that's
their idea, Like who are they now?

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Are they suddenly the favorite?

Speaker 1 (08:46):
No, I'm not going crazy with it, but but remember
I did say the Rams were going to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
The thing about the Rams is that their identity in
the in the NFC, the Lions are the best team.
The Eagles are the next best team as long as
they can, you know, keep going past all this controversy.
The Rams are the team nobody wants to play, right,
That's the team that nobody wants to play because they
can score forty four in a game. They can win

(09:12):
a game in the rain twelve six. You know that
Sean McVay is going to have the game plan. The
great Sean McVay is gonna have some kind of crazy
ass stuff going on that we have to find a
way to counter. Because Sean McVay is that great a
head coach. The Rams are the team nobody wants to play.
Doesn't mean they're the favorite all of a sudden, although
I did pick them to go to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Doesn't mean that.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
But they nobody do you when you get to the
end of the season and you look at all the
teams in the playoffs and in the NFC, Yeah, I
think you're saying, yeah, I don't mind playing Minnesota. I'd
like to see Sam Darnold do what he's doing in
the regular season against US. I'm fine with that, right,
do I want to play? Okay, the Lions are great. Wow,
the Eagles are really good. But I'll play the Commanders.
I'll see what Jaye Daniels has in a playoff game.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Let's see that. There's nobody but the Rams.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
No, no, no, we don't want to see the Rams
because you see what they are. They're in a meeba.
They can they can throw, put up five hundred yards offense,
win with two hundred yard of offense. And I'm telling you,
nobody wants match wits with Sean McVay.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Nobody does.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Well.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
It's the curiosity, right, The explosion is always around the bend,
either the run game gets some juice or the past
game and give him credit. Right, they found a way
in this one, because you know Shanahan and the history
that he and McVeigh matching wits through the years, and
obviously the coordinators getting their run as well. I mean

(10:25):
today the Rams defense held the forty nine ers under
two hundred total yards of offense. And I get it,
there's no McCaffrey. Ayuk's heard all of those things. But
right justin giving me the nod, the second lowest yardage
output in the Shanahan era, and yeah, pretty missed some shots,
even the you know, the the second to final play

(10:45):
of the game, that out that he threw, let him
to the sideline too far, he was open, just you know,
an extra three yards right, tight tightness in a big spot.
Unable to complete that pass. All of that to say, yeah,
you've got a puncher's chance. You've got a coach who's
been there, you've got a quarterback who has led you there,

(11:07):
and you've got two wide receivers again Cooper cut zero today,
and you won a big divisional matchup on a short week.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Yeah, you spike this one and move forward.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Nobody wants to play the Rams man watch out, no body, Eh,
they're scared, And next week they could score fifty. I
mean they play the Jets, they could score fifty next week.
Nobody would be surprised. Jets super surprised. Cooper Cup could.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Revenge for that twenty sixteen game.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Well come on, now, if Aaron Rodgers sees aliens tomorrow night,
that would make the next couple of weeks much more interesting.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
But that's does that make him play better, like he
becomes a super soldier?

Speaker 5 (11:50):
No?

Speaker 1 (11:50):
I think, uh, I think if you meet aliens, you
wind up playing better. He's gonna have the bloodshot eyes
us like a space JamMan, where like you know, hey,
some of the body would go into air Roger's body,
although maybe that would be an improvement. But no, I
think if you meet aliens generally you wind up improving
your life somehow.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Well, I mean, now there could be injects your speculation
that you know, temporarily there's gonna be a lot of discomfort,
but there could be a big fish watch out.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Pr We're gonna give you, We're gonna give you this
incredible body, incredible talent, but it's gonna eat you alive,
and an alien's gonna pop out of it in a week.
Like you may have a one week left of great
life and then suddenly you know, then you're done.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
The alien with a little top hat and cane or
is it very nice?

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Hand on my baby?

Speaker 1 (12:31):
An alien can literally come down from space and join
the Jets and be their best player instantly. Now I
need to get the ball more, and I don't know
why you're throwing it Adams. He went out of bounds
when he shouldn't have. Anue lost the game night to
get the ball, mac Uh, Jason and Mike Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Nobody wants to play the Rams.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
But everybody wants to listening to Jay Glazer and on
Fox Insider with the latest on this game and more.
As we get set for a big week fifteen in
the NFL, The Glaze is next Jason and Mike Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
This is now my favorite Christmas song. He's my favorite
holiday song.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Come on, Grandma, come on.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Give me a little give a little bit of Kirk Hammick,
come on a little bit of air guitar for whom
Christmas tolls time marches on.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Come on, Grandma, come on, Oh getting the fast lane, Grandma.
The Bengo game is getting ready to roll. Haven't heard
that one in a while.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Nicely done The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon live
from the tire rag dot Com Studios. The Rams knock
off the forty nine Ers twelve to six in the
rain in San Francisco, and look at the Rams becoming
the team that no one wants to play. Joining us
now on the hotline. Nobody better and unbelievably great to

(14:10):
hear his voice tonight NFL on Fox Insider Extraordinary, Jay Glazer, Jay,
I know, I'm so glad to hear you're okay. I
know you had to evacuate the fires in Malibu. How
are you your family?

Speaker 5 (14:22):
Man? We're doing great, man. I appreciate it and the
amount of love. I can't tell you a number of
people who offered us their homes literally from all over
the league, and people like man like my Fox family
went so far above me on for me to make
sure we are good. And the crazy thing is again

(14:45):
is we got you know, like Rosan I went to
bed and we lost all power and inclusion. They cut
the cell service here, so man all around us who
was raging fires like like like end of days was crazy.
We didn't know. We got the next day to take
our dog out, go you to the go to bathrooms.
And then obviously we show off smoke and smell it

(15:06):
and everything, and we have no powers. We figured out
we better evacuate and get out of here. Well, it
took us like twenty five minutes to get to where
we had service. By the time we got services, like
sixty eight messages from people like are you okay? Please
tell us you're great, and like I said, the Fox family,
just like tell us you're okay, tell us you're alive.
Like I didn't realize how bad it was because we

(15:27):
had no service. The crazier part and we had all
these calls from the city of Malibu demanding that we
evacuate at three o'clock in the morning or how are
we supposed to know if you cut ourself service, right,
you know what I mean. So it's kind of like crazy,
and they got to figure out a better system because
they're like, hey, go online, Well we got there is
no one live for us, so you know, the again,

(15:49):
the firemen here, man, I think fifteen homes got it
pretty bad and seven percent contained. It could have been
a lot worse. And for the second time in the month,
Fireman had the best game plan of any team on
the planet. There was just just incredible, absolutely incredible.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Oh man, well, we're so glad. You say glad that
family is safe. That's awesome. I know, Fireman a better
game plan than Sean McVay. Sean mcva I mean Jay
winning by They can score forty five and win. They
can score twelve and win in the rain. There's not
a lot Sean McVay and the Rams can't do.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
It's funny. Shawn and I always talk after every game, right,
and you know, especially I really got in the habit
of calling him after every loss when he was struggling
with different things. I always call my friends after they
lose because nobody else does. And you know, I think
that's when you got to step up for your people.
So he called after the game last week. I'm like, here,
bro this and he's like, dude, how He literally said,

(16:43):
how hard was it with that alien? We had to play?
Josh Allen? But I said, this needs to be your
base line from now on, Like your player has got
to know and I think I told you that earlier
that that I was talking to Sean earlier in the
year of like, hey, dude, when the Cavalry comes back
of the poo could and all these guys they come
back here offensive liven they start coming back, you're gonna

(17:04):
find a couple of gangsters in the asses year and
that's how you have to sell it, and all of
a sudden your team will be a lot more successful.
But you got some guys that you didn't know that
rosmy hashes. But man, that's exactly what it was last week.
I'm like, this has to be the base five of
the team. If you could beat King Kong and you
got took King Kong to the break in week one
with the Lions, whateverywhere is hurt? That has to be

(17:27):
these players baseline and there can't be an excuse anymore
for these in consistent games. So this game, in my opinion,
was even more important than last week to see if
those guys would believe it and step up with the consistency.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
And they did well, that's a big the gutsiness of
this game. They got nothing from Cooper cup Jay. He
had Zeros.

Speaker 5 (17:49):
Right, absolutely right, and that's I'm saying, but the other
guy stepped up. And that's what the winning team does
it when we get this guy, when we get that
guy this week, is that guy's exactly right? And I think,
you know San Francis, hey, we're going to make sure
we take Cooper away, right, We'll see what we can do
with Puca. But that's exactly right. And by the way,
no one's talking about Chris Shula, the defensive coordinator who

(18:09):
holds San Francisco to six points? Are you kidding me?

Speaker 3 (18:12):
One hundred ninety one yards? Now? Jay?

Speaker 1 (18:15):
For the forty nine ers part of this, Now, they
went all in on the season. They got like nine
guys making fifteen million dollars and here they are outside
looking into the playoffs and likely the playoffs is a
pipe dream for them.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Now? Was it the injuries?

Speaker 5 (18:29):
Was it?

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Was it just one of those years? What was it
for San Francisco?

Speaker 5 (18:32):
Injuries? Without doubt? Injuries and injuries And I think you know,
you had a lot of stuff going on, the holdouts
for you know, the receiver and for Trent Williams and
stuff like that. Now, but it's injuries with when you
were people could say, well, we can't use injuries and
excuse when all your best players are out. It's injuries.
You got the reason why you pay Christo McCaffrey and

(18:53):
Trent Williams and Yuk and Purty and all these guys
and all of a sudden and Nick Bosa, they're all hurt.
If you're playing with your JV, you're not gonna win.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
The Barsary Camps, Jason Smith Show with Me, Mike Carbon Here,
Fox Sports Radio, on the Hotline with Us, longtime friend
of the show, our guy, NFL on Fox Broadcasting, Hall
of Fame, The Unbreakable Performance Center, and obviously the podcast
at Jay Glazer is where you find him in the
Twitter verse. Jay with Us here, Bill Belichick, you had

(19:26):
the Patriot three in studio and then you you made
Brady go to work at the end of Fox NFL Sunday,
ushered him out the door.

Speaker 5 (19:35):
Tom Brady a bully there you go?

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Yeah, you where that one? Now you're you're in charge.
You're the guy that decided you're you're taking down.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
You did something nobody could do in the NFL for
twenty years. You bullied Tom Brady around.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Like that's brilliant.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
There's that personalized autograph photo going up to my bully.
All right, Bill Belichick now owned to the University of
North Carolina. Those guys chuckling it up on Sunday. I'm
sure you guys discussed this one quite a bit. What
are your thoughts on this one?

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Jay?

Speaker 5 (20:08):
Man, we still can't figure it out, not just Man, Yes,
me and everybody in the league have been talking about it,
and everybody has your series why but we're like, I
can't really say what we've been saying.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
Okay, thanks for keeping the FCC license for us there,
Jay exactly.

Speaker 5 (20:35):
But it's also like, Man, yes he does want to coach,
no doubt, but it was an interesting broom kind of
going to the fourth best team in the ACC and
unless you're like, hey, I just love Chapel Hill, I
want to be there. And obviously his dad was there,
maybe he had something there, But I can't say it
didn't make sense because I'm not Bill Belichick. But maybe

(20:57):
good for one guy. It's not good for me. Well
maybe good for me, it's not good forge you know.
So it was. We're all kind of looking at it,
but I will tell you that we're all sitting there
show We're like, there's no way, there's no way you're
gonna sit there at some recruits couch trying to get
him to North Carolina of all places, right and there
he does it.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Well, what were you hearing, Jay? What was the interest
level in Belichick? Potentially this off season as getting back.

Speaker 5 (21:22):
They went up for Arthur Smith first, who's the offensive
coordinator of the Pittsburgh and he don't want it, and
I know those two talked about it. I do know
the Belts that call him are like, hey, tell me
why they want it and stuff, and I think I
just Argum wants to be in the pros. But also,
like when you talk to people about the NIL, it's
kind of everybody says the same thing. Like I do

(21:44):
have friends to coaching college. They say, it's crazy. It's
the wild West. You have these agents who aren't really
agents so like the old runners back in the day,
and are taking ten percent to these kids, you know,
and it's just there's nothing that's like, there's no regulation.
It's a wild West. And that's why I got like
Kelly stepped out of head coach the UCLA go be

(22:05):
the Dolphins coordinator. Like I just want to coach. I
don't want to deal with this stuff. But for Billit.
He's going into that stuff. And so I've talked to
friends of his last week. I was like, Bro, there's
no way he's going to do it because he's not
gonna want to deal with his new wild wild West.
But I guess he did because he wants to live
in chop Well for whatever reason.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Yeah, I can't wait to see, you know.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
He says it's not a four hundred page manifesto that
he brought to it, so folks are joking it might
be four oh two, that it's the the actual pages, uh,
and like of all that, but just the curiosity in
this process that we haven't seen more coaches I guess dismissed.
And he didn't want to play the waiting game like
we're all trying to play armchair psychologist all on man.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
But also like it's not like he went for like
he went for wait less than he get in the NFL. Yeah,
so that part too, And it's not all guaranteed. The
buyouts not really a lot. It's just got up for.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Plesure, Jake Lazer with us here, the Jason Spitzer with
Mike Carmon. All right, now we got to get to
Aaron Rodgers, Jay uh, you know you had the report
on Sunday. Nobody knows the injury he's been playing through
all year long. And then he kind of got a
little upset at his presidentality.

Speaker 5 (23:16):
He didn't blamed it like he got upset, but have
you seen it did get set well everybody.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
He cursed a little bit and said, knowing the stuff
about his body, he's cool.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Everything is cool.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
He said, he I don't know blank about his body.
But he did say Jay came out and give him
a great speech.

Speaker 3 (23:31):
He did not speech.

Speaker 5 (23:32):
Yeah, yeah, I did great. He and I are actually
texting Tory and he's right. I was wrong about what
I said because it was worse than what I said.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
Whoa, whoa. So that's why he said, okay, okay, he
only knows the happy thing. The other thing as much
as we talked.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
You know, the Tom Brady and bullying him and making
sure he got to his game on properly social media.
I mean, you are a guy that sticks up for
your friend, as we saw Andrew Whitworth having his cake
and while wearing them to the coat and hoodie.

Speaker 5 (24:07):
Yeah, mud, I do actually him straight and anybody. I'll
stand up for all my boys and it's like, people
say what they want about me and Rosie. You know,
it's like, but the problem with them with this plodet
right now is too many people listening. I understand it.
Part of my thay with mental health is that hurt people,
hurt people. Everyone's trying to hurt everybody else, so he
try and hurt my friends. I'm gonna smash you, and

(24:28):
that's what's happening. And I don't think that people. Just
because I'm successful doesn't mean that you could have at
it with me. No, I'm not gonna do that. I'm
not gonna do that. Like you're saying stuff about people
they are savages. We're not playing that game anymore. I'm
not doing that anymore. So I know I'm not supposed
to punch down and all that stuff, but I'm also
notssar to sit there when you talk smack about my

(24:49):
wife and call it racial slurk, or say something about
Whitworth on his birthday. We're talking about stray and being
unpatriotic and not being a military guy when he grew
up in a freaking army base. I'm not doing that
in the worm, He's not doing it. So that's really
who I am in it for years. It's like, oh,
you know, a teacher, as you get to a higher level,
don't say stuff. You don't punch down. But I'm successful

(25:10):
doesn't mean that people should be able to say whatever
you want about me. I'm successful not because I got lucky,
because I worked my ass off and got rejected more
than any human being on the planet to get here.
So it's not who I am. I'm a fighter. I'm
a fight back. Especially if you're talking with my friends
and it's just mad and loyalties and dying art gay
it's a really really loft art and that all I'm

(25:32):
not supposed to get to set about this stuff, and
that's to tell them what they want. But it's not
okay if you say stuff.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
But the people that I love great stuff from Jay Glazer,
and I want to just say this, Ja, I want
to know a little bit at least about what you
said in your speech to the jets, because they're three
and ten, so I.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
Mean it was the vessel speeders about you know what,
it was, guys about mental health. It was a beautiful
thing about really about sticking together. And I told these
guys I've gotten brought in to talk to teams for
twenty years about violence. And I say that because I
was the second, was one of the first guys they
got the second guy to fight in the NFL, and

(26:12):
Bob's Shop was the first, and I may have been
the second, and back in two thousand and three, and
then I started coaching guys, and because Fox, then we
stopped fighting it. And then I stay fighting is professionally
miss martial arts, and I've do it for a long time.
But the way we train guys and our players and
our fighters, if you're hurt and tired, you will never
ever ever know. And we are relentless, like we just

(26:36):
go forward and go forward, and go forward and go forward.
And you watch our fighters and players. You watch Lane Johnson,
You'll never know. You watch Andrew Whitworth, you never know.
You watch these you know from the We've about a
thousand of these guys. But like my partner is Randy Gautour,
Duke broke his arm and half in the Heavyweight Championship
of the World against Gavrol Gonzaga. You didn't know and

(26:59):
ended up realizing I better not show it. If I do,
I'm going to lose my belt and tap the dude
out before the end of the round. And I said,
you need that in football and fighting. And that's right
overse talk guys, and I've got brought in to teach
sis the teams how to impose your will on people
with some breakable mindset. Now we need that in a
cage in the field. But it's the same exact mindset

(27:22):
off the field or outside of the cage. It's got
people like me to want to throw ourselves off the
damn bridge or crawl up in the field position or
bedroom and got me to suffer in silence in the
middle of the night for years to struggle and now
and you need them both. You need to one unbreakable
mindset for the field of the case. But now this

(27:42):
new mindset over here, and I tell these guys, you've
got to start leaning into each other, open up each other.
Now this vulnerability. Man, Think how much closest must make
you as a team. And now we do suffer, and
we struggle more than we ever have before because of
social media and because of from family, and because it's
just where we are and the fatness of the social media.

(28:05):
And if you lean into each other, I say, God,
you've got to start taking it more. Goactively. If you
guys don't just run forties and catch pass and you
have the drops, you do it all the time. We
only go see a therapist when the sky's falling, and
that's too late. So we got to start being proactive
about it. But it's not a therapist here. You think
they're about that. There are. And you've got ninety six

(28:26):
in his room right here on your right and your left.
If you live with each other right here, think out
how much closes it will make you as a team.
And listen. The Jets record sucks, but their fight has
not stopped. And that is a testament to that. They
do live eat each other. It's a beautiful thing. Man.
And the teams I've talked to, they all got a
lot of fighting. I hope everybody out there realized. And

(28:47):
the other thing I tell them, I've now figured a
weigh to take all my mental health issues. And I
told them this says, I'm going to describe everything with
mental health view, what the pression feels like, anxiety, ADHD,
by bullet, all of it. Now, figure out to weaponize
them all. And if you figure out where you're superpower,
then you're not a shamed by him anymore. And that's

(29:09):
the biggest difference for me, because I was ashamed for
so many years and I hit it with I getting
an adderall and alcohol and going out and causing trouble
and act like a fool. And now I can call
my brothers and I can call my friends. I can
lean into these people, and these people who were friends
have become brothers to me because of this, And that's
what builds a champion. And that's that was talk then.

(29:32):
And we had a real, real, real vulnerable talk, and
dudes there open up about stuff they never would open
up about before. And it was so brave for them
to open up in front of a hundred other people
and for everybody to get up in the room and
be like, Yo, we got you, bro, we got you.
And that's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to
get everybody to understand that's the new manly stuff.

Speaker 1 (29:50):

I mean, amazing speech he gave to the I let
him up and then he gave us five minutes of
the speech. I'll let him off the hook for the
Jets being three and ten. But now we know that
he'll cut him and Rogers are okay. They were texting

(30:35):
about stuff today than about that.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
He doesn't know. He doesn't know, Blake about my body.
It was worse. It was worse. It was worse. He
doesn't just think about that. That's a different Now we're
sitting there going all right, what else you got popping up?

Speaker 5 (30:50):

Speaker 3 (31:19):

Speaker 6 (31:24):
I made no money.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
Guys.

Speaker 6 (31:25):
The fortynine Ers have looked a little bit, you know,
off this season.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Right.

Speaker 6 (31:29):
To add to that, multiple reports are saying that linebacker
Devondre Campbell told the team he didn't want to play anymore.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
And he left in the third quarter and never came back. Yeah,
that was that's just coming out right.

Speaker 6 (31:41):
Right now, right, and in a couple of reports now,
not just one person, So now I am comfortable saying it.
A few people have said, so just decided to leave
in the third quarter, you don't want to play anymore?
Linebacker Devondre a phone call, We had to go to
the bathroom and then just never came back in the bathroom.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Oh, there's parties I've been at where I've had to
go to the bathroom and then I just left right.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Oh no, you did the Irish goodbye? They say it
saves you weeks of your life. I've underlined that pants. Yeah,
may you as far as you know that didn't happen.
He liked the runner. Don't film me.

Speaker 5 (32:13):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (32:14):
It wasn't pretty as you guys have been talking about it.
But the Rams did defeat the forty nine ers on
the road with four field goals, coming out on top
twelve to six LA.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Since their bye week, they are seven and two.

Speaker 6 (32:26):
San Francisco, on the other side, will be winless at
home against divisional opponents in twenty twenty four. Very different
stories other NFL news, the Saints announced that it's going
to be Jake Hayner who will start at quarterback for
them this week against the Commander's Steelers. Wide receiver George
Pickens and miss practice for a second straight day with
that hamstring injury. Head coach Mike Tomlin says there's an

(32:47):
outside chance he's able to play in week fifteen. Chiefs
wide receiver Hollywood Brown has received final clearance to practice,
so they may have him. Oh, they might have his
window open Friday or Monday, but the team is going
to be cash In the NBA, three games have wrapped
up with out Jason Tatum. The Celtics outscored the Pistons
one twenty three to ninety nine. Demonte Sebona has had

(33:08):
thirty two points and twenty one rebounds as the King's
Edge the Pelicans one nineteen to one oh nine, and
the Heat had a one fourteen to one oh four
win over the Raptors, where bam Atabayo had twenty one
points and sixteen rebounds. In college hoops number three, Iowa
State outscored Iowa eighty nine to eighty and a couple
of hockey scores, the Golden Knights edged the Jets, Sorry

(33:28):
the Jets three to two in overtime, and the Capitol's
Top the Blue Jackets two to one in ot Back
to you guys.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Thank you very much much.

like Mariah carry Now the last hour and a half,
I'm just the fathest beat Okay, rams beat the forty
nine ers twelve six thanks to Jay Glazer stopping by
a few minutes ago and incredible stuff from him saying,
how hey, everything is fine.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
He and Aaron Rodgers. They're texting.

Speaker 1 (34:54):

Speaker 4 (35:23):
I mean, I was just heavyweight blows one after another,
from the talking about the system that's in place with
the fires in Malibu all the way down to the
Rogers story.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Is Belichick.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
Man, it was just one after the other, which we've
come to expect, but man always outdoes himself.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Now, if you're ready.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
For a hot take off of tonight's game, it's got
to be hot because it was rainy.

Speaker 5 (35:47):
You know.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
Sean mcvagh did an interview after the game.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
It looked like he'd just been working out, like I'm
so sweaty, I've been wearing it nods just the rain.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Tonight we watched the end of.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
The forty nine Ers, the end the end of this run.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
Are you firing Kyle Shanahan?

Speaker 1 (36:02):
No, no, no, The end of this run of the forty
nine Ers that we've seen the last few years. The
Super Bowl NFC Championship Game, forty nine ers that have
overachieved with Brock Purty a quarterback. It is officially the
end because the Niners came into this season saying, Okay,
we'll give guys all kinds of money just to bring

(36:23):
them back this year or sign them long term, whether
it's Brandon Ayuk or Deebo Samuel or Trent Williams. And
what's happened. They're six and eight. They're done right. They're
three games out of first place in the NFC West
with three games left. They're finished. Whether it was injuries
or for whatever reason, they're done right. You know, Jay

(36:43):
talked about the injuries the Niners had. You can't just
bring this team back next year because everybody's older and
you have a lot of money to figure out.

Speaker 5 (36:53):
Right.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
It's not like, hey, okay, we can just re we
run it back and hope everybody's healthy. No, you paid
guys this year because this was they We're getting the
band back together for one more run and then after
this year, well we'll figure stuff out. Who stays and
who goes. Now you know guys are going, you know
big stars. Oh yeah, when you have eight guys making
fifteen million dollars a year. Those star players are gonna

(37:15):
be gone. And oh, by the way, don't forget you
gotta pay brock Purdy. Okay, now, you could get by
with a band aid situation for next year with brock
Purdy because you don't have to pay it. But do
you really want to do that with your quarterback or
do you want to sign him long term? No, because
in two years you got to give brock Purdy a
bunch of cash. Right The Brocolypse is gonna be coming,
so if you're the forty nine ers, you have to

(37:37):
plan for that. So this is shuttling and getting rid
of a lot of guys who have played this year.
Trent Williams, who knows? Are you gonna keep Brandon? You're
gonna keep Debo? At this point, Deebo had a horrendous
night tonight. He's had a really bad run. So this
is gonna be a completely new forty nine Ers team
next year. They have reached the window and the window

(37:58):
is now shut and so out for the forty nine
ers going forward.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
Good luck.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
Everything is gonna be new next year. It's a new team.
Are they gonna compete? Is it gonna be a reload
or a rebuilding type year. That's what tonight did. Tonight
slam the door on the forty nine ers.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
Yeah, we've seen them get punched in the face after
the prior Super Bowl loss. Same thing this year, Contracts
Greenlaw was back tonight. Guess what free agent at the
end of the year, he was flying around, back to
top four. Remember he got hurt in the Super Bowl.
What might have been All of those kind of things.

(38:32):
But all of that to say, yeah, you can move
money around, but you got some hard decisions, Like Trent
Williams is going through a bunch, he and his wife
and everything off the off the field, but also dealing
with injuries age, all of those questions were already there,
and he buoyed what was a mediocre run of offensive

(38:54):
lineman alongside him. Right, he lifted everybody up to another level.
Is that gonna be able to be the case again
next year? Can you find better component parts on the
offensive line? Christian McCaffrey, what is he going forward?

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Right now?

Speaker 4 (39:08):
The guy you sunk a ton of money into. So
it's it's a curious space and liked all the thought pieces.
A couple of weeks ago about Kyle Shanahan and firing,
and they've obviously had some fun with that, he and
John Lynch and everybody else, but it's certainly gonna be
a different look. And maybe it goes back to, you know,

(39:28):
the original vision, which we're finding guys in the draft,
those evaluations that went right and then sprinkling in versus
you tried to keep everybody together, kind of like Seattle
did when the Legion of Boom and everybody else suddenly
all had to get paid. It starts to fracture and
a couple of injuries consended asunder, and that's what we

(39:49):
have here.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Exit out about a Fresco exit swollen down the Jason
smithser with Mike Harmon Tonight is the end of this
last few year forty nine or dynasty. If that's not enough,
what did we tell you about a forty nine Ers
player who quit in the middle of the game. That's
next Fox Aaron Rodgers
