This is the best of the Jason Smith Show with
Mike Harmon on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Oh, Happy Friday, everybody. Welcome to the Roki Sazaki Show
with my best friend Roki Sazaki's.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
It's a justin Frostburg takeover. That's where you say something
in Japanese.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Smith to try to respond, I wish I could speak Japanese.
I can. I could give you a little bit of Spanish.
I could give you a I was really I told
you I was really good in Spanish in high school,
but that was a long time ago. Can't give you
anything else.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
I want an award.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
It was kind of funny, and now I have about
thirty percent of that capacity.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
You won an award for Japanese.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
No for Spanish.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Oh, I thought you won an award for Japanese.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
It was you know, they did a thing whereas you know,
non native speaker, you know, learning and hustling and whatever,
and I.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Did well, and then I wouldn't use it for a
number of years and I forgot it.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
All. Everybody in the class is getting an award. What
do we give Harmon? Give him non native say he
give him a non native speaker hustle figuring it out award.
I don't care.

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Just give it to test, you know, just because that
was your world.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
We did awards for each of the disciplines, including specialties
in the romance languages and what I was the most
romantic Spanish speaker of them all.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Give it to you and it just put hustle on
there too. As parents are like that. He'll like that
hustle and a heart. Just put it out.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
A bunch of people started screaming el mel to the crowd.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
To give them a yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
I think he just said Roki Sazaki is the greatest,
might be.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
He might have That was that Rush Hour three?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Was that?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Was that? That sounded like Chris Tucker. It's like a
which one of y'all kick me? I'm it is The
Jason Smith Show with Mike Harvin live from the Tirat
dot Com studios. Direct dot com help you get there
at unmatched election, fast free shipping, free road hazard protection
and over ten thousand recommended installers. Tirect dot com is
the way tire buying should be. But it's it's did

(02:30):
nothing to do with Spanish tonight, nothing to do the
Los Angeles Dodgers have added yet another potential feather to
their cap. Roki Sasaki, who was let everybody know on
Instagram earlier today, he is joining the Dodgers. He has
been the free agent pitcher of the offseason, much like
Yoshioba Yamamoto was last year. The Dodgers gave him three

(02:51):
hundred million. Best thing for Sasaki is he's twenty three
and he doesn't cost a lot of money. Right because
of the the way that he gets posted and coming
out from Japan, he's only can make a certain amount
of cash. The Blue Jays tried to free up some
international cast today to make it worthwhile, but it did
not work. And Roki Sasaki, who now will join the Dodgers' rotation,

(03:14):
I don't know if there's a spot if Clayton Kirsch
I wants to keep playing, I don't think there's.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
After last year, you can keep banning another four guys.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Smith, Come on, Yeah, I'm sorry, Clayton, it's awesome, but
it really just can't Now. I already could see a
storyline developing, and I'm gonna put everybody at ease. That's
what I do. It's a Friday night, right, I don't
want everybody at ease, because how many baseball fans are
upset now walking around going, oh the Dodge? They just
get everybody out of the How does baseball let Susaki

(03:42):
go to the Dodgers? A Because it's free enterprise and
it's called free agency, and you can you can pick
and do what you want to in this country. Uh
So there is that, you know, there's that part of it.
That's why. Yeah, Look, there's always going to be a
great team, right, Sometimes the great team in baseball is
better than another year. Years. Sometimes the great team is terrific.

Speaker 7 (04:02):
Right.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Look at the NFL. We've gone from the forty nine
Ers being the great team of the eighties and then
the Cowboys being the team of the nineties, the Patriots
a great team for twenty years. Other teams still won
Super Bowls, other teams still got to the NFC Championship game.
Other teams still had big winning years. You're gonna get
great teams, right, but the Dodgers, Right, it's unfair because

(04:22):
you know, here's here's Otani last year, and he pushes
all his money off and they don't have to pay
him for another ten years and they're able to sign
all these guys. This is how it works. This is
how it works. Everybody's got a fair shot. Guys can pick,
guys can go play where they want to play. Right,
But I could see the storyline. I could see it, Mike,
I get. I can already see these Dodgers. I don't
hate the Yankees anymore. I'm gonna wear a Yankee gear

(04:44):
because I want to talk about an underdog team that
doesn't spend a lot of money. I'm gonna wear my
Yankee heear because they are the underdogs. Now, like, that's
where this is going, That's where I could see it
right now, Well, we.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Dialed up the Evil Empire take what is two years ago,
long before Shoho Tani showed up, and that just tips
it over to the next level. And well, you mentioned
free enterprise. This is not a situation whereby you come
in via normal draft. So yeah, you can say beat

(05:15):
it and try to roll the dice that when you
come back into the draft the next year that someone
else takes you and it's a more amenable place that
will meet whatever your price is, million dollar man style. No,
he had the opportunity to talk to all thirty teams
if he felt like it, and he didn't. So if
you're crying today like you, only fans that I think

(05:39):
have any reason to kind of feel salty feeling left
at the altar are Padres fans.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Although at this point you'd be numb to it.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
This is runaway Bride kind of thing of oh well,
it's got so close to the altar. But no, this
is go blank yourself, Sandy pretty much.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
What did you just say, Oh, I've got to fire you. No,
I got to Mike. Did I not warn Padre Nation
all four of them? You did? Month? You did so
every time it's.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Sasaki's name or any deal baseball related.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yep, you you were warning them. You were the you
were the old guy outside like we used with the
horror films all the time, saying you really don't want
to go in there, bad things mess you up. Uh,
you don't want to go in. It was still Frostbrook
said it was science, that this was happy. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
No, he said it was a done deal.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
And then there was the report that Sasaki a week
ago may have gotten on a plane with all the
Dodger players to go to Vegas. I don't know that
that was ever corroborated, but it made for a nice
little wrinkle. And and then obviously the Blue Jays, right,
you've got a couple of guys that have been a
Hall of famers that have popped through there. You got
titles many years ago. We celebrate Joe Carter, Frank Thomas

(06:51):
when he was a member of the Blue Jays, all
of those kind of things along the way. But that
outside of that, nobody else had a chance in hell.
Then that was established weeks ago. It's gone. It's down
to three teams. And for the Dodgers infrastructure winning culture,
you've already got Otani and Yamamoto there, so you've already
built this internally. They've shown how successfully you can translate

(07:17):
things and come into the Dodgers organization. You've got all
the media assembled here. You've got your.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Own little bubble that you can work into and grow
into your major league baseball career. All of that is
icing on the cake compared to whatever dollars because even
at this point, there's not a lot until the endorsements
start rolling in. Now. Look, now, so I said this,
but Jason, you're not making me feel better. I will
make everybody feel better. I don't care.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
About making people feel It just sends you into your
weekend full of hate and derision.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
That's on you. What happened to you today? Man? What
are you doing? What are you talking about? Why can't
you just be It's seven o'clock on a Friday night,
We're to do the show together. Everything is awesome, right
and you're already saying if you want to hate things
as we have, go hate stuff, Go hate everything, because
I hate everything for some unknown reason, I'm gonna.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
Hate he said any of that?

Speaker 1 (08:12):
You just you your world upon Mone just said you
want to You're okay, people feel better. You want people
to take hate and derision into the weekend that they
need it to words. So you're this is the thing
that's gonna set you off. You got other stuff you
should probably be concentrating. I don't know about that. Now. Look,

(08:33):
I can still make everybody feel better despite the fact. Listen,
this is why we work the weather. We're getting yang.
You hate everything, and and it's categorically untrue.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
I'm a love for not a fighter.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
No, I don't know about that the way I see that,
know that that I'm wearing a shirt that professes that
songs will save your life? All right, what have you
had in your life? More dates with with women or
fights with your brothers? And I mean fist fights. I
don't mean like we disagree, I mean dates with a
woman or fist fights with your brothers. Oh women, come
on now, really, come on, man, you're the you're the

(09:05):
you're the middle of three. You grew up in Chicago.
Come on, man, there's no one.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
I mean we we emulated what we were watching in
the wrestling world, and occasionally there'd be a missed uh
miss bump that you'd get an extra smack to the head.
I took more from my mom than I ever did
for my brothers.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Uh yeah, okay, I think it's not even close. Brothers
will call and corrupt. Are they gonna tell me to say?
I don't believe they're gonna tell me the same story.
Not that they were allowed to come on because they're
still on the run for stealing that that. Uh, listen
to you like stuff from the Bears.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
You've been on air all these years and you're you're
dodging felony charges.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
What was the other theft you copped you a week ago?
You can't even remember because you're making stuff up. You
can't even remember a week ago. We'll find trust your
memory from when you were high school. You can't remember
a week ago.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Maybe it's all the blows that were rained down upon
me and I've got issues? What do you what are
you trying to say?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
But look, here, here's the here's how you feel better
about the Dodgers, all the Dodgers. The Dodgers, Hey, are
they the best team? Yeah, but somebody's got to be
the best team. It's not like we're gonna walk in
going well, nobody's the best team. No, the Dodgers are
the best team. But look at their playoff last year.
This is the team that won the World Series. They
were on the cusp of going home in the first
round of the playoffs against the Padres. Padres had them

(10:20):
up to one in a short series, and the Padres,
I don't know what happened to them. They were all
full of fire and brimstone and teasing with the Dodger
fans having all kinds of great times. And they had
the Dodgers in there, and they were in the Dodgers'
heads and the Dodgers needed everything they could to come
back and win that series. Right, they barely got out
of the first round, next division round, right, division round

(10:41):
against the Mets. Mets won twice. Dodgers they if they
don't have Tommy Edmond turn into Stan Bleep and musual
in that series, the Mets might win that series. And
this is an okay Mets team, right, This is not
a Mets team that had a bunch of superstars top
to bottom. This is hey, we're putting ourselves together, and
this is not we're gonna look like when we become

(11:01):
a dominant team in the next couple of years. Now
we're adding one so to all of this. So an
ok Mets team that had a lot of chemistry and
had an MVP type player in in Francisco, Lindor nearly
beat the Dodgers. Tommy Edmond was superhuman in the hits.
He had eleven hits. He had eleven hits and ten
runs in ten RBI Come on, man, that guy's gonna

(11:23):
watch the NLCS on a loop the rest of his life.
He's not gonna go out and watch movies. What do
you wanna do? Hey, you want to go see that
new Marvel movie, The New Captain America Now? And I
want to go home and watch Game two of the NLCS?
Is he a ha? And then you get to the
World Series where the Dodgers won in five games, but
you had to walk off Grand Slam when the Yankees

(11:44):
brought in the wrong picture went to, hey, why don't
we bring in a guy's actually been good? No, no, no,
So you had a walk off Grand Slam in Game
one and he needed three errors in a row by
the Yankees in the fifth inning to open the floodgates
in Game five, where the Dodgers won. This is not
to disparage the Dodgers at all. They were the best team.
They won the World Series. They made all the plays.
But you see how close each round was. This is

(12:07):
not like the Dodgers came in and it was three
to zero, four to oh, four to oh, and it's
what what the hell are you gonna do? We're unbeatable
baseball when you have great players that buys you contention,
and it buys you into the postseason. But whatever reason,
the hottest team always wins. And the hottest team is
not always the best team. Sometimes the hottest team is
the best team. But the Dodgers last year, what did

(12:29):
they do out of the Padres? Boy, the Mets what
they really wanted to play the Phillies. No, the Mets
cooled off the Phillies. They were hot, but they hit
a bounce in the NLCS. The Yankees hit a bounce
in the World Series. Like when you get to the postseason,
the greatest teams are still beatable in short series, in
seven game series. It happens that way. So yeah, the Dodger. Look,
the Dodgers got richer, and it's awesome for them, right,

(12:50):
and they're gonna come in as the overwhelming World Series favorite.
But in baseball specifically, it doesn't mean that you're gonna
win because just last year, like I look at last year,
the couple of times in each of those series where
they could have gone the other way, they won. Now
they didn't. And they won because I want to say
that because I know, but we won, But no, I know,
I'm gonna say, and they won but each of those
series could have gone a different way very easily, and

(13:13):
they didn't. This wasn't an overall Hey, the Dodgers were
unbelievably dominant. It was more they rolled out there. They're
really good players. You watch the Yankees throw up on themselves.
The Mets were a little bit overmatched, the Padres fell
asleep after going up to one, and the Dodgers were
able to win. It doesn't mean they're unbeatable.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
I was waiting for Justin to come back over top,
so I just paused, Mike, it's too low hanging, bro.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
I'm just gonna say this.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Sell me hope, mister optimism, my over unders forty nine
and a half wins.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Wait, wait, what do you think who wins more games
this year? Sasaki or the White Sox. That's a good question.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Now, the because you know, I have to be Joe
negative and counter what you just said. The injury guy
across Major League Baseball might actually move to a different
clubhouse this year. Though that doesn't vote well for the
rest of Major League Baseball in that regard, because you know,
just maybe, just maybe they don't have to go.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
Through how many pitchers?

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Was it forty as many interviews as the Jets in
the Bears mad for head coaching or for your GM job.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
That's kind of what we're looking at here.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
But look, this is seemingly inevitable, like the Fano snap,
it's done.

Speaker 5 (14:32):
Now.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
You just have to hope your power structure, whatever team
you love, they know what they're doing in terms of
bringing prospects up. Because the game is as it pushes
forward until there's a rule and a clause that changes
how you can defer money and play games with contracts

(14:53):
and a more rigid you know, second apron, third apron,
what are we calling it in baseball?

Speaker 5 (14:59):
I'm just kidding.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Three as, four aprons, five April, the aprons.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
Right, But and Jill, you can get rid of the
deferred money and really play to a legitimate cap. This
is this is all foolishness because you're gonna be chasing
three or four teams salary wise, which means you've got
to get everything else right if you want to contend exit.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
How about a Fresco exit swollen Dome. The Jason Smith
Show with my best friend Michael. It's fine, It's fine,
It's absolutely fine, trust me, it's fine. It's a great

(19:03):
a very big story. The Dodgers continue the rich get richer,
But like we said, it's not how baseball works. Baseball
is different from all the other sports where you the
hot the there is more a bigger advantage for the
hotter teams in baseball in the playoffs than any other
of the big sports, right, because what do you hear

(19:24):
in baseball when a team goes out, We ran into
an absolute buzzsaw, right, We ran into a buzzsaw we
didn't see coming. Right. The Philly said that the entire
time after the Mets knocked them out, and they were like, well,
what do you want We ran into a team that
was hot, ran into a buzzsaw. No, you were about
a team and you lost own it. But okay, but
you hear it in baseball all the time. We ran
into a team that's so incredibly hot. Nobody says that

(19:45):
in the NBA, right, Nobody says, boy, how'd you look? Well,
we ran into a team that was just like No,
nobody says that, right, because it's not true in the NBA.
In the NHL, nobody said we ran into a hot goalie.
That's the closest I will give you. Oh, by the way,
how about a goalie with a goal in and assist in
a game tonight? Boys, let's go. But you can say
we ran into a hot goalie. Right, that's the only
other thing you're able to say. But that's one player. Uh,

(20:07):
you don't say it. You don't say it in MLS,
you don't say it does. But in baseball, it's we
ran into a red hot team because teams in it
at the end of a baseball season. Hey, it's a
big playoff push, and maybe they're playing at a little
bit higher level because they have to than the teams
that were that that are have already clinched, and they
come in and they pull a couple of big upsets

(20:28):
and it happens that way, and you go, boy, this
team that won eighty two games in the NLCS, this
team that won eighty three games in the World Series
two years ago, teams have won eighty four and eighty
two games were in the World Series. Right. It works
that way in baseball. So it's not suddenly all doom
and gloom. Yeah, I knew the Dodger getting Roki Sasaki.
I knew it was coming. Frostburg told us it was science.

(20:48):
It's fine. Doesn't mean teams aren't going to compete, doesn't
mean they can't lose. It does. Baseball is different from
it's different from every other seat.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
But in every other sport, I mean, you do have
those circumstances. Right, go back to the NFL when the
Giants were able to get things together. Part of it
is it's a war of attrition, right, if you get
through the season. Dodgers had enough horses, they made enough plays,
and then they capitalized and they did this all season long.
They did some great bullpen management. Those guys all stepped

(21:19):
up and did their job. In hockey, you can see
a team flip a switch. We see it in the pros.
With the NBA, it's all right, let's get through the
regular season and hope we get to April, and if
we have the guys that were supposed to be one
through seven in our rotation, we're feeling pretty good.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Right. That's the way it rolls.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
And with baseball that look, we're already getting a feedback
onto it and bring it on at how about a
Fresco at Swollen Dome at Fox Sports Radio. Like you
have to go through a longhaz grind of a Major
League baseball season. You can spend a lot of money
that ain't buying anything. You still have to mix and

(22:02):
match properly. And have an awful lot of luck on
your side. And when the door opens, you kick it in,
not a meekly look in and try to steal. So no, no,
you have to be aggressive and go in and take
that series, that game when it presents itself. And the Dodgers,
you know, you laid it out perfectly, you know earlier

(22:23):
in the hour of here's all these opportunities to go
and take care of business. Guess what, you didn't finish
the job, right. You've got to knock them out otherwise
they are the movie villain that's coming back on you.
And this you know, folks are gonna be mad your
team didn't have a chance at him again, right, because
they can't pay him any money. Like that's the thing

(22:45):
that's lost in this for all the expectations and hopes
of what he can be. And I know Major League
Baseball Network was showing the the World Baseball Classic outing
that he had and all of at and saying in
the trump at the arrival, the Dodgers couldn't hand him
over one hundred million dollar check, right, they couldn't hand

(23:06):
him a contract. It's like, yeah, there's hundreds of millions
deferred down the line. Now are there handshakes, wings and promises. Sure,
but in the end, that's none of that's guaranteed right now,
I mean it's you had to make a choice and
most of your teams were eliminated. As soon as his
the call went through, Hey can we talk to him?

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Nope?

Speaker 5 (23:28):
He is he gonna come and work out with us?

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Nope?

Speaker 5 (23:31):
Okay, asked An answered, I'm new free agent in the
marketplace number.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Two exit out about a fresco x swollen dome. Jason
Smith Mike Harmon live from the tirerac dot Com studios.
So we'll have more baseball. But I will say this,
if the Dodgers signed Pete A. Lonzo tonight, I'm throwing
Frostburg out the windows. So but you already quit on him.

Speaker 5 (23:50):
You said that yesterday you were done with this great players.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Yesterday. No, No, it's fine. But his hands, he can
beat it. Frostburg is gonna come in with an Alonzo jersey. Bob,
Now you're going to hell, now me, you didn't. Now
you're going to hell. Now when last game? His last
game was Game three of the NL Well, when the
when when Lindor had the double play in the bottom

(24:17):
of the ninth inning. That was the last call. Yeah,
the big play was the Lionzo was home. There you go. Yeah,
but we are hours away from it's it's the best
weekend of NFL playoff football because the contenders are gone.
It's before the NFC and AFC championship games. We have
the best day teams going. Mike and I are going

(24:37):
to give you our picks right now for the action
on Saturday. And I'll go up before I give you
my upset, I'll go. Let let let's do Washington and
Detroit first. Okay, let me just say this right away,
no drama. I can't pick Washington. Are you insane? I
have to live in this house with my wife and
her entire family. Not that they come out to stay
with us, but I can't pick Washington in this game.

(25:00):
Never go to Michigan again. I can't do that. But
not only that, not only that they're not going to win.
Look that Detroit is at home. They are peaking. They
are focused, they have been. They're that rare team that
loses in the NFC Championship game and stays up the
entire year after to get to this point. It's one

(25:22):
thing to watch Washington and see Jade and daniels heroics.
And we said some tremendous things about jad and Daniels
this year. Look, there's five true superstar quarterbacks in the NFL,
and he's one of them. I mean there's five, and
he's one of them. But it's one thing to escape
against a mediocrely good Tampa Bay team. It's quite another when, boy,

(25:43):
here's the best team in the NFL. And I always
say this when when it comes down to a game.
Remember I was thinking about this when we were picking
Iowa and South Carolina in the women's championship game in
college basketball a year a year ago, and I said, look,
you have a great player in Caitlin Clark of an
unbelievably great team in South Carolina. I will always take

(26:04):
the great team over the great player. And that's this
mark right here. Washington has a great player in Jaden Daniels.
He is great. But the Lions are a great team.
They're gonna be too much for Washington. Uh, the Commander's
gonna have to score too much to keep up. They won't.
Maybe it's closed for a little while, but eventually Detroit
piles up the point. Sonic and Knuckles are both gonna

(26:25):
be back most likely hopefully Sonic still gets more of
the carries, because that's the way it should go. But
this will might be close for a little while. But
if if Jared Goff is in middle of the fourth
quarter with his shoulder pads off on the sideline eating
a hot dog, I'll be surprised. Give me the Lions
big in this game.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Now you mentioned South Carolina. Congratulations down Staley on your
twenty five minutes.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
She gets paid. How about that huh Rich's contract in
college bad women's college basketball history.

Speaker 4 (26:52):
And she's take that ground style after take that great up.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
How do you feel, Gino.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
Just waving over a geno? Remember your day? Now you
just shout at Windmills. Oh, I thought you're gonna go
the Herb Brook speech in Miracle. Their time is done.
That's good, lawn time. Their time is done. They've had it.
It's over.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
This is your time.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
Well put, we'll put.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
But for this game here it is you know, and
and I do believe that the Lions ultimately win. But
the case for the the Commanders is this. The Jaden
Daniels offensive juggernaut that he has been nearly nine hundred
rushing yards in the regular season big play, some bad defense, uh,
and some terrible clock management from Tom Bowles, not to

(27:43):
mention the Baker Mayfield fumble that will remain on his
resume forever to offset anything good he did over the
course of the year, setting them up point blank range
to finish the job. But all of that, we'll get
at what Terry McLaurin has been hopefully, you know, or
Washington you get a little more Robinson and Eckler mixed in,

(28:05):
especially Eckler as a receiver out of the backfield. Brown
has been fantastic the last six seven weeks, came on
strong in their receiving corps and obviously zach Ertz hitting
all his escalators piles up perceptions. So you'll move those
chains against that Detroit defense that I believe that Washington's
offense is gonna hold up. And that's why I'll take
the points. Right, what was it nine and a half?

(28:25):
So I'll take the nine and a half for sure
in terms of looking at that. Now, for the purpose
of our radio show and for the national narrative, I
need dan Quinn's defense to give me a herculean effort.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
I need them to.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Come up and be wizard like I need the exact
damn opposite of what he gave when he was in the.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
Playoffs last year.

Speaker 4 (28:46):
And may Jordan Love be a guy that we should
be erecting statues soon.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Okay, obviously you've been holding onto this dan Quinn stuff
for a lot. Every time you talk about dan Quinn,
I'd say, in the back of my mind, going, he's
waiting to really just unload on him one day. I
don't know when that day is gonna be. By that
and I can tell you you have a you have
a thing for dan Quinn, Matt, you're really that really
upset you.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
Not often do you get to fail as spectacularly as
his unit did against the Packers and then go become
a head.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
Coach somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
That was brilliant, because that's because that's the chaos theory
of this game, Jason. If Quinn and that defense and
they can get after it a bit, if they can
solve Ben Johnson's offensive juggernaut formula.

Speaker 5 (29:35):
Look, it's gonna be a.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Fourth down off between Quinn and Dan gamble, fourth down.

Speaker 5 (29:40):
To fourth down off.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
They're gonna agree at midfield before the game. Let's just
do four ten fourth and ten. We start everything at
fourth to ten and we go from there. Let's do
that fourth and ten at ten paces. Let's go.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
But for dan Quinn, if he's able to solve Ben
Johnson's offense, think about the chaos that it causes in
all of our coaching conversations. Tell what the Lions are.
I don't want, I don't want ruination for your household.
I'm not I'm trying to keep you from having to
go back to Detroit.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
I think we're okay on that. From from you definitely
into the personal aspect of our law, I think I
think we're okay with that for Attle while okay, good,
But but I want to say this. You know you're right, Hey, hey,
tell me that. Tell me that team that they can
blueprint this year that shut down the Lions offense. Tell
me that team to shut down the Lions offense in
the last three months that they're gonna copy.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
Well, but that's just it.

Speaker 4 (30:33):
It's not a coffee paste because it's nothing you or
I have ever seen.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
Right.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
This goes back to the I've got moves you've never
seen from my best friend's wedding when Julia Roberts is
in the owner's box for the White Sox.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
I mean, yeah, what was the only thing that would
work in this? And I remember reading about this a
few days ago. I know, I can't believe it know
about this like in a in a Eagles playoff game,
I want to say it was the early nineties on
a big fourth and goal like regular see in game,
they had thirteen players on the field on defense, right
like I think it was whoever was had fourth and

(31:05):
goal from like the three and the Eagles just put
thirteen guys out there and nobody noticed and they were
able to get And I'm like, oh my god, can't
believe you know what I ever heard about? You know
what that is?

Speaker 5 (31:15):
The old act, like you've been there.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
I know some people in our collective lives maybe maybe
they've taken a peer.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
They just go where they can do that.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
If the commanders can do that, I would give them
if they you don't look look around confused, right, you
act like you belong on the field, and maybe you
can get away with it. Why do they why do
they have two high safeties, five defensive linemen and I
don't understanding jumping jacks at the goal line who shouldn't work?
I don't understand. He's far enough out of the play

(31:45):
he doesn't count. Uh So there's our first pick, Lions
and the Commanders. We got more than ninety. But first
a man who we like to call the rookie Sasaki
of Fox Sports Radio, because we've heard a lot about
but we don't know if he's any good. It's Steve
to say. And he's got what Just for.

Speaker 8 (32:04):
The record, he's never won more than ten games over
in Japan. I mean, they really treated him with kid
gloves plus or shoulder recently. So and he's only twenty
three years old, which is why he's cheap.

Speaker 1 (32:15):
But let me write this down damage goods, hang on,
hang on.

Speaker 8 (32:19):
His career MRA for the four seasons in the Japanese
League two point zero two.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
I think Steve just said he's not a winner. Put
that down in your book too.

Speaker 8 (32:29):
He pitched less than seventy total games over four seasons.
The strikeouts are there, obviously, we've seen the pitches. What
game you referenced that two years ago World Baseball Classic
winning a semi final here in the States. And guess
who his teammates were, Shoe Otani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who
are now Dodgers, and Sasaki is signing with LA at

(32:52):
age twenty three. Because he left Japan early before the
age of twenty five, his contract is limited. Sasaki met
in person with at least eight MLB teams, announces today
he chooses the Dodgers, signing bonus six point five million dollars.
The Mets agreed to a deal with reliever aj Mintor
ex of Atlanta one year plus an option. The A

(33:12):
signed former Texas closer Jose Leclair Ravens. Wide receivers Ze
Flowers is doubtful for Sunday at Buffalo due to his
knee injury. In the NBA, New Orleans has beaten Utah
on a battle of ten win teams one thirty six,
one twenty three, so the Utah Jazz now ten and
thirty this season. Charlotte wins by two at Chicago, won

(33:32):
twenty five one twenty three despite forty points from Nick Fucevic.
Denver won at Miami by twenty one thirty three, one thirteen,
Jamal Murray thirty points, triple double for Nikola Jokich Jimmy Butler.
The heat did return tonight. He had eighteen points after
the seven game team suspension. Wins for Milwaukee, Boston and Minnesota,
which won at New York won sixteen ninety nine, thirty

(33:55):
six points for Anthony Edwards, Carl Anthony Towns, and the
Knicks was out again with a spring thumb Anthony Davis.
The Lakers out tonight with a foot injury. They're about
to start the late game at home against Brooklyn out
for the next Cam Johnson due to an ankle injury,
and the Spurs are leading the Grizzlies late first half
fifty eight to fifty five. There is college basketball on

(34:15):
FS one right now at UCLA eleven minutes to go.
Bruins lead Iowa seventy seven to forty two, looking at
into a four game losing streak.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
When did you say they're playing Indiana? You say that?

Speaker 7 (34:27):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Sorry?

Speaker 8 (34:29):
Wins for Villanova to Paul and Indiana, which won on
Fox TV in overtime in Ohio State seventy seven seventy six.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Back to you, Thank you, Stevo. The Jason Smith Show
with Mike Carmon live from the tirak dot com studios.
So there is our big prediction for one game on Saturday.
Is there a huge upset coming in the other game Cleveland.
Cleveland's not playing. Is there a huge upset coming in

(34:57):
the other game that's next, Jason Fox Sports Radio. That
that's that's the game we just talked about. Alexis different.
It's a different game. No, No, I didn't, I didn't.
I picked the Jets. Let's go back to speaking Spanish, okay,
Mocho Gusto.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
We should just run the crazy Train open all the time,
because I mean, that's that really is who? That really
is a uh an apt designation of what the show is.
Every night. You can't run the crazy train till ten
Crazy Train? Why not? There's there's nothing in there? Later
you Fox Sports Radio, Fox Deportes Radio, The Jason Smith

(35:53):
Show called my best friend, Amigo, Mike Harmon, better effect
them and Meg Yes live for the tire rack dot
Com Studios. Why didn't I just type in this translator
tire rat dot com Studios and say in Spanish, I
don't know. Yeah, you've been doing the show for how long?
Eleven years?

Speaker 6 (36:12):
And you have one new word since I've met you
in Spanish, the same four words.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
I just take you like six words I know. I
know all the best words.

Speaker 6 (36:25):
I know four and no.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
I got more than that. I gave you rain, I
gave you snow. I just gave you best friend. I
gave you with I gave that set six right there, boom,
it's what it is. I should do a bilingual podcast.
Boy this guy, right, I should I do? I do
both see bags be like this double threat. Now, all
of a sudden, Ai Smith Japanese on my first second?

Speaker 5 (36:51):
All right, so we we previewed the first game, called
you four second.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Don't I can't come Chicago Cubs. That's right, man, Chicago.
I got Chicago Cubs right there, I got Cubs. So
we talked Lions and the Commanders a few minutes ago.
And now it's time for the Texans. Now it's time
and the Chiefs. And I'm telling you I'm taking the

(37:21):
Texans and I'm looking forward to making this selection. Once
in a while, the team that the disappointing playoff team
that plays well enough during the season but not quite
hits the playoffs, and it's either that's what they're waiting
for or that's what clicks and they go on a

(37:44):
run that is unexpected. And you watch the Texans kind
of meander through the season, we see how talented they are.
They get to the play they play the red Hot
Chargers and they were terrific. They throttled the Chargers offense,
throttled them. They couldn't do anything, and it was almost
like a C game offensively for the Texans. So you know,

(38:05):
there's a long way to go up. Oh, but it's
on the road. It's against the chief Now I understand this.
You know the Chiefs are gonna be looking ahead a
little bit because it's only natural when you get to
the Super Bowl every year. But the biggest thing is this,
what kind of team have we seen give the Chiefs
all kinds of problems in the last few years in
the Mahomes era, teams that can get to the quarterback

(38:28):
without having the blitz, and that was the Texans last week.
That was Anderson and Hunter. You watch. I watched Jim
Harbaugh say after the game, look the edge pressure they
gave us, those are the best we've seen. The pressure
on the edge. The pass rush was outstanding. He gave
credit where credit was due. Houston's defensive line even up
the middle. They were really good. Fajisaki and Edwards were

(38:51):
really good. Herbert's Herbert played a game. I've never seen
him play a game like that. I never have. And
the defensive line of the Texans controlled the game. They
can control this game because this is not an overly great,
great and we're gonna blow the doors off of you
Chiefs team. This is a really good chief scheme that
has become a team that, Hey, we're gonna play you

(39:12):
okay the first three quarters, and then we're gonna own
the fourth quarter. We're gonna be the most clutch team
you've seen, and that's how we're gonna win games. But
this is a kryptonite game for Kansas City. Teams with
the defensive line that can do it are going to
are able to give Kansas City all kinds of problems.
The Texans defensive line is gonna give Kansasity all kinds
of problems.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
C J.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
Stroud is gonna make enough plays in the offense. The
defense is gonna make life miserable for Patrick Mahomes. And
everybody's gonna be waiting for the Chiefs to what are
the Chiefs gonna do? When are they turn in the Chiefs.
Wait till the fourth quarter. Wait till the fourth quarter,
and the defensive line is gonna own this game. Give
me the Texans on the field. I'll take the points,
but I won't need them. Give me the Texans on

(39:52):
the field for the upset.

Speaker 5 (39:53):
Look at you go forth Lot.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
The microphone is so hot.

Speaker 4 (39:58):
Plus eight and a half over a hundred forty one
and a half the Washington Detroit game. Fifty five and
a half is your total for that one. One that
will not be impacted by weather, of course. Houston Kansas City, Yeah,
it'll be cool. But looking at Kansas City, their time
of year to shine, they're not looking ahead of anybody.

(40:18):
It's lunch pale time. It's time to go to work
and time to get back to the grind. For Houston offensively,
I have my concerns. You've seen Mixing, You've seen Nico Collins.
You're gonna need another option to step up against this
Kansas City defense. Not that they're world beating in any

(40:39):
individual category, but it's the sum of the parts. The
Houston defense is really fun to watch.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
Right.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
Both Slater and Alt had their issues. Slater coming off
injury all first time we've really seen him kind of staggered.
But you know, the interior line was something that needed
to be addressed and will be addressed this offseason and
for the Chargers. But we'll talk about them as we
get closer towards free agency draft.

Speaker 5 (41:05):
Than everything else.

Speaker 4 (41:06):
I'm gonna ta Kansas City to win the game. It's narrow.
You know, I had a friend to reach out. I
actually have a friend who's a Texans fan.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Believe this or not?

Speaker 4 (41:14):
And is it John McCain No, But got deep into
ask you some questions about how the matchup goes and
had to include the and when do the refs factory?

Speaker 1 (41:27):
You forgot to talk about the referee. God, they gotta
play a clean final two minutes Texans. That was the
follow up question exit out about a Fresca exit swollen dome.
We look at the Game of the year coming up
next Fox.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon weekdays at ten pm Eastern, seven
pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
App Fox Sports Radio. It is The Jason Smith Show
with my friend Mike Harmon live from the ti rack
dot Com Studios. Happy Friday, We'll get back into the
NFL coming up in a few minutes, but right now

(42:12):
it's time to take a look. We are finally, at
long last, at the end of the college football season,
after a postseason that began some time after the fourth
of July Ohio State and Notre Dame on Monday night
with us down the hotline to break it all down,
the owner, editor, proprietor of your one stop shopping for

(42:33):
everything college football. College Footballnews dot Com is a site
all the picks, all the prognostications, all the analysis. It
is longtime front of the show. Pete feu tech, Pete.
What's happening?

Speaker 2 (42:44):
Man?

Speaker 1 (42:44):
How are you?

Speaker 7 (42:45):
I apologize for not getting touch with you guys Julier
before and asking I hope you're doing well through all
this out there, and I hope you guys are all safe.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
Oh, thank you, Ben. Yeah, everything we've been lucky. Everything
is okay, and it seems like we've hit the other
side of the uh you know things with the wildfires
and hopefully we're getting continue to get some good news
as time.

Speaker 7 (43:06):
Yeah, it's it's crazy, but not to bring us to sports.
But it's a weird way that did not happening in
LA this year the national championship like it did a
couple of years ago, and uh, it's it seems like
everything else has sort of moved on. But yeah, I
hope you guys are safe and all that. But yeah,
it's it's crazy as it's coming up on Monday. It

(43:27):
seems like it's taking forever to get here. But it
is Ohio State, it is Notre Dame. It is two
powerhouses that America is going to care about. I don't
know why the college football playoffs people try to put
this game on Monday. I do know, because they want
the whole weekend to enjoy the party and stuff. But man,
it would have been awesome if it was right now

(43:49):
instead of like, I don't know, Monday, when there's that
inauguration thing and everyone's gonna be talking about the NFL,
you know, championship games and stuff. It just it seems
like an odd time. But we're gonna get it Monday night.
You know.

Speaker 1 (44:02):
I feel like Pete, like I could make a lot
of money in sports if I would just be a
calendar guy. Hey, I'm going to give you a calendar
and you're gonna get to look at it and see
everything that could be going on on these days. So
you see, if you want to have a game on
this day or not, I'll give you the calendar. You
make the decision, But I'm the calendar guy, and I'd
make a lot of money.

Speaker 7 (44:19):
I actually kind of have to joked that, like, I
just don't care about non football regular season pro sports
because there's no reason to because after this we have
the NFL Playoffs, and then after the NFL playoffs are over,
then college basketball kicks in college basketball National Chance A
Tournament and the Masters, and then we dive in a
little bit of base and then all the there's only

(44:40):
big things happening every other weekend where you could just
kind of go up to each thing. But this is
going to be a big thing. I mean again, it's
if Notre Dame wins, then the fighting Irish crowd are
going to go crazy because nobody seems to have realized
that this team is good. Because again, as I've told
to you guys before, I don't think anybody wants this year.

(45:01):
I just it's just they were on weird times, they
didn't play big games, and they just sort of all
of a sudden gotten here. It's like, wait a minute,
notre names here. Oh well they're you know, playing second
fiddle here, but they're good enough to win this. And
if Ohio State loses it, you know, good luck with
the drama and the reality showed that would be in.
If Ohio State wins, well then you obviously that usher's

(45:21):
in a completely new phase of college football because you know,
you don't have Ryan Day to kick around anymore. So
it'll be it'll be an interesting narrative nowhere how this
works out.

Speaker 5 (45:30):
But that's the beauty of it, right, we all win
no matter what.

Speaker 7 (45:33):
Hate Yeah, Michigan wins because you can claim that, hey,
you beat Ohio State. You know, yeah, we didn't beat them,
So you got that. So that's all you guys care about.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
You're going to get a big portion. I get what percentage, ok, pete,
let's do this. What percentage of the Ohio State fan
base if they win the national championship are going to say, yeah,
that's great, but we should have beat Michigan. Like how
many people are what percentage of the Ohio State fans
are going to say, yeah, that's great, but we should

(46:05):
have beat Michigan.

Speaker 7 (46:07):
Probably it's a loud fan loud part of it because
they all decide to go on through it because they
just can't help themselves to feel happy. They just I
do not joke when I literally say it is the
most miserable fan base in all sports. They just cannot
enjoy themselves for thirty seconds. And again it's it's it's
not even just the lost of Michigan. It's like that

(46:28):
actually helped you because this team didn't play like this
all year. You kind of needed that moment to kind
of kick your butt in the gear and be like,
all right, enough of this, let's start actually playing. And
you can see that they couldn't play conservative, that they
had to just start to let it rip, that they
had to play after the talent level. So that lost
of Michigan probably are the step back, because they giant

(46:50):
leap forward if they can get by Noe Dame. Now,
if they lose the Notre Dame, then all of a sudden,
the mission that percentage you're talking about, the lost of
Michigan means everything. It's not enough just to get here now,
because they shouldn't have beaten Alabama in twenty twenty. And
you know, had they beaten had they've not gotten that
one call against Clemson, in nineteen they get rocked by
Joe Burrow and LSU. Anyway, this time they're eight and

(47:12):
a half point favorite. They're supposed to win the n
ACTUAL championship, and they're supposed to do it relatively easily.

Speaker 4 (47:18):
Beat back seven of Notre Dame enough to slow down
the receiving gore where you can do the box and
one that we saw employed in the last round against
Ohio State.

Speaker 7 (47:27):
They're good. I mean, I just I think again, I've
mentioned this before. This is not TCU of a couple
of years ago, and they're better than Washington last year.
And I would have picked them if it was Notre
Dame versus Texas. They've got talent that's back seven. Like
you said, they don't misstackles. I mean that it sounds
basic and you kind of get used to when you're
watching the NFL that you assume, oh, there's a one

(47:48):
hundred and sixty pound cornerback tackling Derrick Henry. You know that,
But like that's just these guys can all hit, they
can all tackle, and they just they have a different
sort of mindset and attitude. They are were about as
confident a team as as you can possibly find. They
just do what they do and it all seems to
kind of work. Now, if Ohio State gets up early,

(48:09):
or if there are mistakes right away by Norre Dame,
h oh you know, because then I think Ohio State
just takes that run because this is not necessarily a
come from behind team. And that was kind of the
thing in the semi finals where Notre Dame played awful
against Penn State and they were still only down ten
seven at halftimes, like, oh you had them, you didn't
put them down. If Oho State gets up faster, there's

(48:30):
gonna be a big problem because this is not a
team that's built to make some sort of big type
of comeback.

Speaker 1 (48:35):
I'll tell you, Peter, it's really hard for me to
see Notre Dame winning this game. Ohio State's the better roster,
they're the better team. The only thing and that I
can say, Okay, how can I see Notre Dame winning
right because I see Ohio State winning. You know, if
I if I was a computer in my head, you
know one out of every fourteen million, you know Ohio
State wins. Is that if Michigan Ohio State shows up,

(48:58):
that if the Michigan Ohio State team where when the
game is closed for a little while, and all of
a sudden, Ryan Day and Chip Kelly they start daying
a little bit and well, let's real conservative, you know,
a couple of turnovers, Will Howard, let's not let's not
throw the football a lot, and all of a sudden
it becomes a pickham game. That's the only thing that
makes me concerned about Ohio State is that I can

(49:20):
see if things don't go well the pressure of the game,
they really get unaggressive when they should just keep opening
it up and just driving down the field against them
because Notre Dame doesn't have the firepower to keep up.
That's the only thing that I could see, Okay, that
I could see if Ryan Day gets it's if they
get that way, I could see Notre Dame potentially winning.

Speaker 7 (49:38):
You're you're right, but that they did like you said, oh,
they did that to the selves against Michigan with their
weird game plans. But here's how it happens is the
Georgia game. Georgia is much has more talent than Notre Dame.
But what did Notre Dame do? They just they do
this every single game and if to watch this team
all year outside of the Northern Illinois game. They are

(49:58):
actually kind of weirdly explosives. I mean, they did get
the kick six against Georgia. They did get the nineties anyway,
ninety eight yard Jeremiah Love touchdown run against Indiana. I mean,
they got the great House touchdown against Penn State. They
make lots and lots of big plays. It's just not
like the Jeremiah Smith, you know, type of every other thing.

(50:20):
They just kind of seem to do it collectively. But
that's how they beat Georgia. They beat Georgia with two
hundred and forty four yards the total offense, and why
they came up with five specific big plays a strip sack,
a kick six, a big throw, you know, to get
it done. And that's kind of what it does. It
just sort of holds teams in place and it just
makes the big plays that other teams don't. And how

(50:44):
they if they start turning the ball over, you know,
there's a shot there. Like I couldn't see them how
they beat Georgia, and they did it, we'd buy double
dindem I couldn't. It was hard to make a case
how you're going to beat Penn State because they're the
same team. But Penn State's got more talent. They just
figured it out. This team just finds a way more
than any other team I've seen in a long, long time.

Speaker 4 (51:03):
So Pete, if Notre Dame wins, after waving to James Franklin,
does Marcus Freeman go walk right into Alice Hall to
become the coach of the Bears?

Speaker 7 (51:11):
Oh? Man, It's so funny because the Notre Dame people
I deal with, they're like, well, this is just the beginning,
this is how it starts. You're right, Marcus Freeman might
be a head coach in the NFL. Oh No, but
he decided the contract extension and I oh you sweet kids,
Oh god love. Yeah, it's all a contract extension going

(51:32):
to keep him from being there. But like, he would
be great. I think he would be Unlike Dion for example,
I think I think Marcus Freeman would be a whale
of an NFL head coach. I mean, what they're doing
right now. They're already probably gonna lose Al Golden, their
defensive coordinator, but they have coached their tails off this season,
and Freeman has proven that he's got the chops to

(51:54):
be able to kind of get them here. But let's
do what they do. Let's see if they come up
with something special. They've had time off. But I do say,
I say all these nice things about Notre Dame, and honestly,
if it's thirty one to eight Ohio State, I would
not be shocked. They are just they're the best team
in the country. They've got more talent. As long as
they just kind of get out of their own heads
and just play up to their talent level, they should

(52:14):
win this and cover without too much of a problem.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
College football insider Pete fu Tech our guest the Jason
smithser with Mike Carmon. All right now, to get you
outside of the game, Quinn Ewers declares for the NFL Draft.
He's had to be turned down what could have been
an eight million dollar nil deal with another school. So
I'm going to say complete the sentence. All right. We
know that Chador Sanders and cam Ward are going to
go somewhere in the top few picks in the NFL Draft,

(52:38):
even if they don't both have great first round grades.
The desire for quarterbacks is too great, so they're going
to go in the first few picks. If I said
to you, the next quarterback off the board, after cam
Ward and after Shador, Sanders is blank, who are you
telling me? And it's okay if you tell me Kyle McCord, it's.

Speaker 7 (52:58):
I mean obvious core. But yeah, that's uh now.

Speaker 1 (53:07):
The best that they could translate the next level.

Speaker 7 (53:09):
I actually actually I actually kind of like yours. He's
not a power pitcher. He doesn't have the big giant arm.
But I don't even like cam Warder or Schaudure all
that much. I kind of like Shador. But this is
just not It's not last year's draft, and it might
not be next year's draft of art and arch, but
it's there's just nobody there's So that's why you're quin news.
And now there's two things about that eight million, which one,

(53:32):
it's the boring side of the technical side of this,
which we won't get into now is for another off
even date. But there's that whole thing, the title nine thing,
where they're gonna have to start figuring out, Okay, well,
if you're giving quinni Ors eight million, what are you
giving you know, the women's side of things. That's it's
gonna be kind of a logistical nightmare, which is why
Niol worked. And but you start doing things like this

(53:53):
is impossible. The second part about this is too, It's
not about just the Okay, well, he would make more
this year. It's about getting to that second contract. Sam
Donald's going to get somewhere between twenty and thirty five
million dollars. He's Sam Donald. He's awful at football, you know.
So if you're just a competent you know, you know,
starting quarterback, which Quineyers should be, you should be pretty decent.

(54:15):
He should be, you know, a guy who can start.
It's not gonna win any big, big for you, but
he'll he'll play in the league for a long, long
time once you get to that second contract. Look, you know,
Dak Prescott makes more than the Mountain West.

Speaker 1 (54:25):
You know.

Speaker 7 (54:25):
It's Jill Burrow, you know, and Justin Herbert and these
guys are our corporations. I mean, they're making, you know,
thirty forty fifty million a year. It's insane what these
guys make. So it's not just about the short side
of this. It's that if you believe in yourself, Queen yours,
then go be a pro. The Bill Parcell's line, if
you want to be a pro player, get out of college,

(54:47):
go be a pro player. And get to that second
contract faster because at that point you're starting to make
you know, real amigo money at that point.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
You can follow on Twitter at pet tech. That is
at pet Tech. Visit colleg Footballnews dot com. Everything you
need college football is there. Maybe my favorite quote of
the year so far, Dak Prescott makes more money than
the Mountain West. Pete, have a great weekend. We'll talk
to you after the game on Monday. Lady guys, see
anybody here, Bud, there we go. I like that Dak

(55:16):
Prescott makes more money than the Mountain West.

Speaker 5 (55:19):
That is pretty good.

Speaker 1 (55:19):
I like that.
