served in the United States Army. My mom and my
dad served in the Army. So when I see USA,

gold medal game, Sydney Sidney Kidd had the game winning
winning the game winning gold in overtime. There was another
gold medal game we lost five to two. Uh, you know,

I said, if you don't know hockey, just go look
at like the top players in the league and then
just go look at how many have a white and

got to replace that guy at some point. You got

he had had his not mine made up that Super
Bowl year against Cincinnati was gonna be his last year.
He said he went into camp saying this is gonna
be but he didn't tell anybody but to him and
his wife and his head, this is my last year.
You win the ring, you right up to the sunset,
You show up at Laker Games course out with the
big Diamond channel, You go on all the talk shows

at night, and then you go away for a while
and then no one cares, No one talks about you.
Knowing these guys, it's it's like sadistic with some of
these men. They gotta they gotta be part of something, right,
you know, Like Jordan, Jordan's got to be competitive.

the Super Bowl and we're both like, how you didn't
get to the conference championship game and the team that

Favorite to get there this year? I think the favorite
to win it next year should be the team that
just won it. Tell me what they're losing, Tell me
what player they're gonna be missing and losing.

You know, as far as well the numbers of who's
gonna be favorite, Like you, we don't know, but we
don't know where some of these players end up, or
some of these quarterbacks end up.

Like there's some big name Michael Parsons. I said a
year ago, if you take care of CD first before Micah,
you're making the same mistake when you took care of

can Michael end up? Like that can really shift that
so called favorite. If you think then Kelsey should retire, yeah,

I would call the career retire for a couple of reasons.

leave from there. Also, your wife went through a serious
medical condition. They operated on her brain. She's lucky to
be alive. Thank your lucky stars, thank God that you're

healthy for the most part, that she's healthy again. You're
at the end of the career. Go enjoy your life.
You've been through so much. I can only imagine the
worrying and the stuff that went on while his wife
went through this medical condition. It was absolutely terrifying. I
got to tell you, it was absolutely terrifying. I would
call it a career and enjoy the rest of my life.

the first three or four weeks, man, it's like, man,
you're missing their best player. That turned into supposed to

be four to six turned into what the first seven
weeks he was out.

But you have oh yeah, they've been granting to trade
like two weeks ago. But here's the thing. In my book,
you have a four year window if you don't have
the great quarterback of the league, the best quarter back
in the league, and the best coach in the league.
But if you can have a really, really good year,
a really good team, right, so you got a four
year window.

Look at two of the teams that played in.

Super Bowls in the last like four to six years,
the sam Super forty nine Ers in the Rams. They
both went to two. Rams lost won one one forty
nine Ers lost both of them. But remember how they
remember the Rams were bringing everybody in like everybody named Mama,
And they bring in Jalen Ramsey, They brought in Brandon Cooks.
You had Todd Gurley, you had Matthew Stafford. I mean,
I'm sorry, you drive, you drive Jared Goff. They pushed

all their chips in man and got to and got
to the game. But couldn't get it done. They come
around again within that same four years, they pushed all
their chips in again and they got there and then
won it. You know, sooner or later, all these contracts
you paid are going to backfire or you're gonna have
to trade some people away. How do you think Jaalen
Ramsey ends up in Miami right because of the.

Deal that they gave them.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
Sam Francisco did the same thing, paid Christian paid, Samuel paid, paid,
Trent Williams, right paid their guys. And then you got
lucky with Brock as mister irrelevant and he gets you
to one. But even before, even before then, you had
Jimmy Garoppolo. Shanahan has got his team there twice in
that four year window. And now that that four years

has passed, those contracts start to kind of kick in.
Man in Kansas City, if they don't do some serious
work this offseason, they're gonna run in that too, because
they paid Mahomes pay, Chris Jones, paid McDuffie like, they
showed off some money over there also too. As sooner
or later, those contracts catch up to you. So you
got about a four year window if you don't have
the best quarterback in the league, in the best coach
in the league. So that's why I think a team

like San Francisco and a team like the Rams are
kind of gonna be out of it.

What's Dallas's gonna look like next year? Washington? I thought
they'd be good, Nobody thought they'd be twelve wins good?
They can they duplicate that next year?

What happens with the Lions, what happens with the Vikens
in their quarterback situation? Is JJ gonna be ready or
does a move like the Todd Furman said, where you
know Matthew Stafford could be heading up there for a
year to go with Kevin o'connore that he won the
Super Bowl with his offensive coordinator here in Los Angeles.
So there's a lot of things in the NFC that
a flux. But you know what you know, it's concrete
and Nancy Borrow CJ Herbert right, those quarterbacks are there.

can Michael end up? Like that can really shift that
so called favorite. If you think then Kelsey should retire, yeah,

medical condition. They operated on her brain. She's lucky to
be alive. Thank your lucky stars, thank God that you're

healthy for the most part, that she's healthy again. You're
at the end of the career. Go enjoy your life.
You've been through so much. I can only imagine the
worrying and the stuff that went on while his wife
went through this medical condition. It was absolutely terrifying. I
got to tell you, it was absolutely terrifying. I would
call it a career and enjoy the rest of my life.

you have a four year window if you don't have

But if you can have a really, really good year,
a really good team, right, so you got a four
year window.

Look at two of the teams that played in.

Super Bowls in the last like four to six years,
the sam Super forty nine Ers in the Rams. They
both went to two. Rams lost won one one forty
nine Ers lost both of them. But remember how they
remember the Rams were bringing everybody in like everybody named Mama,
And they bring in Jalen Ramsey, They brought in Brandon Cooks.
You had Todd Gurley, you had Matthew Stafford. I mean,
I'm sorry, you drive, you drive Jared Goff. They pushed

all their chips in man and got to and got
to the game. But couldn't get it done. They come
around again within that same four years, they pushed all
their chips in again and they got there and then
won it. You know, sooner or later, all these contracts
you paid are going to backfire or you're gonna have
to trade some people away. How do you think Jaalen
Ramsey ends up in Miami right because of the.

Deal that they gave them.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
Sam Francisco did the same thing, paid Christian paid, Samuel paid, paid,
Trent Williams, right paid their guys. And then you got
lucky with Brock as mister irrelevant and he gets you
to one. But even before, even before then, you had
Jimmy Garoppolo. Shanahan has got his team there twice in
that four year window. And now that that four years

has passed, those contracts start to kind of kick in.
Man in Kansas City, if they don't do some serious
work this offseason, they're gonna run in that too, because
they paid Mahomes pay, Chris Jones, paid McDuffie like, they
showed off some money over there also too. As sooner
or later, those contracts catch up to you. So you
got about a four year window if you don't have
the best quarterback in the league, in the best coach
in the league. So that's why I think a team

like San Francisco and a team like the Rams are
kind of gonna be out of it.

What's Dallas's gonna look like next year? Washington? I thought
they'd be good, Nobody thought they'd be twelve wins good?
They can they duplicate that next year?

What happens with the Lions, what happens with the Vikens
in their quarterback situation? Is JJ gonna be ready or
does a move like the Todd Furman said, where you
know Matthew Stafford could be heading up there for a

So there's a lot of things in the NFC that
a flux. But you know what you know, it's concrete
and Nancy Borrow CJ Herbert right, those quarterbacks are there.

It was absolutely cool as hell it was in baseball.

It's done on the Jumbo trom and they just call
it robots, you know, calling it, but they do it
on the Jumbo tromp. It takes less than fifteen seconds,
maybe ten to twelve seconds. It is right on shay,
how many chances? How many challenges do you get on
the pitches like that?

So yeah, the ABS is being tested in thirteen different ballparks.
So teams are admitted just two challenges. It's only by
the pitcher, catcher or the hitter, and the challenge must
be made immediately without any assistant from the dugout or
any coaches or player on the field. So no one
other than the hitter, the catcher, or the pitcher can
make this challenge, and they can get no help from
anyone from coaches, third base coach, players on the field,

no one else. And if you challenge and you are wrong,
you use.

I think one more thing. And if you challenge and
then you're right. You retain the challenge. So you could
you keep those two challenges, Lee, You can challenge the
call ball or strike.

According to what though, Like some umpires have a big
strike zone, he's got a small strike zone.

This IMBI calls it this way.

If that was the case, then make him do it
all the same, right, Like we know certain umpires called
strikes and balls a different way, so find them. Like, no,
that was wrong. You get fine because we can't have you.
You can't show what your own strike zone. The strike
zone to be from a hitter's mid chest to his knees,
that's the strike zone. That's what I heard in in

Little league and fall back when I was playing for
the Del Citi Cardinals in nineteen eighty six.

But you're not seeing curveballs, you know, in literal league,
like you're the big Weeks. It's tough to call, you know,
it's tough to call these one hundred mile an hour pitches.
Once in a while, you blank and the ball goes
right by you.

Even if it's an umpire. You can't get everyone right.

he was swiping down. We all can see he was
swiping down at the ball. It's a it's a fast
moving game. Scrape them on his noggin, scraped them on

Sometimes they don't call the foul then, but the ball
may go off them, but you just say it goes
the other way. Now you're really kind of in trouble.
If you don't call the foul, it may go off them,

That's the part I don't like.

The penalty I would like to see reviewed. Mostly in
the NFL is passing affairance. Passing affairance should be a
penalty that you can You could question the u CAL review.

If they used to do and for instance, they took
it away.

They need to bring that back, right, They need to
bring that back because game games are won and loss
on that call. Games are won and loss on a
call by a tackle, a holding call on a guard.
Games are won and lost by dB reaching out and
slightly grabbing a jersey for you know, a second second
and a half. I get it, but you've told these
guys they can't use their hand. You're asking defensive backs

to cover receivers without being able to touch them.

He knows where he's going. You don't. Is it too
subjective though?

Is it too subjective to go ahead and be able
to overlook that or to look it back on replay.

It's like a holding call, you know.

It is object No. Holding is normally no. I rarely
see a holding call and I'm like, oh man, that's
not normally. A lineman's got his hands outside or pulling
a guy down, or you see the jersey. Defensive end
goes to spin right and you see the jersey, or
you see the arms fly up because they're trying to
spin around and he can't because the guy's got a
hold on another one.

You see other people get for going and doing what

Nobody wants to learn on their own. No one wants
to go through the hard times on their own. Everybody
wants to just have an easy way to a championship
as possible. Through the years of Jordan getting beat all
those times, through the years of Kobe and Shot getting swept,
Kobe shooting the air ball, Shaq putting his arm around

him and saying the same people that's laughing at you,
gonna be kissing you. You know what in the in
the future, don't worry about it. And Kobe said himself,
I needed that. I needed to miss them shots. I
needed that. But nowadays guys don't want to go through that.
I want to go stack teams. And what's show me
the stack team win the championships?
