Once in a while, Mike, we open the show and
I'm depressed. Once in a while we open the show

(01:01):
and I get to the boy because I get reminded
of stuff, and I go, yeah, no matter what I think,
We're still living down here, and everybody else's cot or
a few others are living up here, I gott I
hit the best about it, right.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Gona say, one of us has to be up. I
had one of those days. So I was looking for
positivity for these four.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Okay, Well, well here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Here's the thing is that every time I look at it,
I see something like Peyton Pritchard going for forty three
off the bench for the Celtics, Derek White scoring forty one.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
The Celtics are without eight.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Starters, including Larry Bird, and they still beat the Blazers. Now,
the Blazers aren't any good, but you're without Tatum, you're
without poor Zingis, you're the okay, you know, yeah, this
is good. No, no, no, we get forty three from
Peyton Pritchard off the bench, he hits ten threes. Yeah,
And I just sit back and I realize, you know,
And this goes into last night too, with the Cavaliers deciding, hey,

(01:57):
at one oh seven, one oh seven, we're gonna go
on a run unlike anything you've seen in the NBA,
and they wind up beating the Bulls by fifty in
the last six minutes of.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
The fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
It just realized that the Celtics and the Cavaliers and
the Thunder are just that much better than everybody else.
Right of all that second tier of contenders, and I
do have a caveat there is a team I think
by the end of the season could be up there
in the top four.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
But right now you look at these.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Three teams and it's just what else do you need?

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Like what you know?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
I saw a bit on ESPN today about how people
don't believe in the thunder is contenders. So here's twenty
two reasons why you shout them?

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Like, who doesn't?

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Reasons? They really had to do the deep dive on that.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Who doesn't believe in? What do you need to know?

Speaker 1 (02:38):
The Thunder kill everybody? They're loaded, they're deep, they have
the MVP. Oh how do you not believe.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
In the Thunder?

Speaker 4 (02:45):
But you know, I just couldn't boil it down to
one thing.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Katie in Westbrook, Well.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
There's that.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Hard Okay, don't get hard.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Well, how many people how many people be real with me, now,
how many quote NBA fans If you said, hey, do
you believe in the Thunder? They would say no because
they think Durant and and Westbrook and Harden are too old.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
How many of the those guys, that's too old.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
They're yeah there, they gotta be old now.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
Right, Yeah, And I think they just say no because
they've seen the Lakers play lately.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Well, that will get to the Lake. Don't worry, Frostberg.
We'll get to the Lakers and the Sea get to it.
We'll get to We'll get to them in a second. Okay,
we'll get promise, we'll get to the line. You're in
trouble tomorrow night. We're gonna kick your ass. Go ahead,
give me your line. I don't okay, but uh, but
these three teams, I don't know what else you need
to see, Like if if you had an NBA, if

(03:44):
you if the playoffs were now, and I know, really
at this point, team most teams are sort of just
grinding it through on on muscle memory now from now
to the end of the year. Things don't really change
in the NBA from Game fifty five, Game sixty to
Game eighty two. But there's other really good teams, right.
The Knicks are really good, right, I mean they are,
and and the you look at other teams, The Rockets

(04:06):
are really good, the Grizzlies are really good. There's other
really good teams, but they're not close to these three
because you just see that, Yeah, when we're missing our stars,
we can still operate on a level that nobody else has.
No mean, he has a guy that can come up
to them. Peyton Pritchett, come on, man, off the bench
for ten threes. You figured things out that with nobody
else you're able to have this kind of Him and

(04:26):
Derek White the first Celtics teammates ever to com bind
forty points each in a game. Not burd and McHale,
not Burd in Paris, not Burd and DJ No, no,
no no, not Tatum and Brown, No no, no, it's
Peyton Pritchard and Derek White are the first two Celtics
teammates Like I look at this and I just shrug
and I go. It's it's like watching these three teams

(04:48):
are all above the rim and everybody else is Okay, yeah,
it's great to be really good, but but what's really
gonna happen in this what's really gonna happen we get
deeper into the NBA playoffs?

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Well, and that's the question, right when we look at
where the thunder are, Right, you lost in the conference
semifinals last year, first playoff appearance, that's one in the
last four years, right, missed the three prior seasons. So
those those kind of questions are I think, what circle about,
right when you have to go play this iteration of

(05:19):
the Lakers, or you have to play Denver in a series,
or some of the other more experienced teams, if you
end up facing off against the Warriors as currently constructed,
as they roll up wins, all of that to say,
I think that's just it. It's the playoff issues. By
the way, they did have Jalen Brown on the court today.

(05:40):
He was not good, so I mean you got that
going for it still plus fifteen. He took like thirty
shots and scored eighteen points. But that's okay, seven of
twenty three. But the best of the Pritchard line from
the bench and their other bench players combined to score
seven points. I'll have you know, forty three ten and five. Yeah,

(06:00):
so a ten rebound game. Hey yeah, it's kind of
not fair at this.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Let the night be the night.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
You remember that Peyton Pritchard and Jordan Walsh combined for
forty six off the bench for the Celtics.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
So that was a great night. We bot that.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
That's kind of like that fifty thousand point question we
asked last night, right, So all of that together, but yeah,
the Celtics or something else, and when Pritchard starts heating up.
But we've seen this in prior years, right, he has
one of those games. Now, this one comes against the Blazers, who,
while folks might remember that team from October and November,

(06:36):
I mean there's still now seven games under five hundred,
but they've actually played decent basketball. So it's not like,
you know, a team that might be tanking and trying
to get out of the season, you know, like the
Mavericks or somebody like that.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Now, I said, we'll get to the Lakers, right, because
here's the other part of this, right here, here's the
other part of this is that by the end of
the season, the Lakers can get there.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
I mean, I mean, I mean I can they can
get up there.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
They can get up there to be in that upper
echelon with those three other teams, because the Lebron and
Luca are simply hitting another gear and the support pieces
are there. And it reminds me a lot of twenty twenty.
It reminds me, It reminds me a hell of a
lot of the early of the late aughts when Hey,
they made the trade for Pau Gasol. They go on
a run right away, and look, we told you Luca

(07:27):
would come in, it would be it would be somewhat seamless,
and it was after just a couple of rough games.
But I mean, this offense can put up so many
points and defensively, people forget how good they are defensively,
what they've been able to do without Anthony Davis.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
That you see enough.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Machine like wins by the Lakers, which I think you're
gonna see over the course of the next you know,
month plus, and it's gonna be man, Okay, we got
the top two teams in the East at the time.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
We're ready for Celtics.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Calves in the Eastern Conference Finals, ready for thunder Lakers
in the Western Conference finals. Like the Lakers are that
team that can get there because I again, I think
the rest of the regular season is gonna be really
easy for the Lakers.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
Yeah, he's still gotta gotta play the games. You got
the onslaught of this next ten games, starting with what
we would expect to be a better, more consistent effort
from your Nicks that we've seen. I'm trying to will
it for you so that we get a good game tomorrow,
because otherwise Frostburg's just gonna dance like the entire time,
and he's gonna stare at you like he's Kendrick Lamar.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
He say they not like us.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
That's what he's saying, right, He's just gonna stare at
you the whole time as he's dancing around in the
production studio.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I mean really, I mean, I look at this Laker
team and you watch him play last night, and.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
It's just it's easy. It's easy.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
And Lebron with fifty thousand points, and we mentioned this
last night at the end of the show, is that
he's so energized. He's still playing at such a high
level now. I mean, he was still playing at a
really high level.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Even before the ad trade, but we.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Saw how that has rejuvenated him, and he's even even
more energized now. I think he can go another five years. Like,
if Lebron's playing at a really high level at forty.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Five, I wouldn't be surprised.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
I don't know if he's still gonna be handling the
ball as much, but could he segue into being a
low post there because we saw him do that a
couple of years ago. Wow, he's playing the five, and
my god, he's amazing right like any position on the court,
Like I could see him doing something like that.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
He's not slowing down at all.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
He's done.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Come on, he's forty years old. He's still he's still
one of the top ten players in the game. You
don't leave when you're one of the top ten players
in the game unless you're bored, unless you feel like, hey,
my basketball legacy is done, I'm finishing here. But if
he's still playing at forty five, I can still see that.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Man, I'm apps on I five.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
I mean, if I went from hey, a year or two,
he's gonna play a year with Bronny. Bronny may make
it out of his first contract, and then it's gonna
be well if the Lakers want me for another year.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
They signed Bronny to his second deal, so we'll see
what happens.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I can just wait for that storyline coming up in
four years.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
That would be the most fascinating thing in the world.
Although he doesn't have the clout, so if Luca's got
any brothers that want in on the league, he's gonna
start pitching soon enough.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
But oh dude, no, no, come on, man.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
As much as as good a job as Rob Polenka
is doing, Luca's dad will be the GM in five years.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Let's just stop with that.

Speaker 4 (10:15):
Okay, a month ago, hop Polenka fire this guy. They're done.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
It's over.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
Now he's the hero of the day. And now we
get the Genie Buss quotes on on Anthony Davis and
everything else. So it's all sorts of fun. But yeah,
for Lebron James is we discussed a little bit last night.
By the way, the whole cat's out of the bag
on the defense thing, Like we brought that up a
while ago. Someone built a graphic off some metrics they ran,
and now you can't walk away. It's like the Ten

(10:43):
Commandments have come down from the mountain. You're not avoiding
those anymore. I had to do that. It's ash Wednesday,
you know, lent and season all that stuff. Sure, and
then actually we end it by watching Charlton Heston on ABC.
But all of that to say is that for Lebron,
he's not having to shoulder the load. I mean, look,
the game got that much easier for him, just like that,

(11:05):
A right, He's not handling the ball. He's not facing
the pressure dribbling up every possession where he's got a
battle for the full twenty four he gets some possessions
quote off to kind of wanders as Luca takes care
of things. So, yeah, that in theory against some lesser teams,
not like the ones they're facing here the next ten

(11:26):
days or so, where the schedule's pretty strong except for
one or two outliers that you know you'll have some
minutes down the stretch where in theory you get some rest.
But then, you know, we talked about it yesterday, what
do you have the final five games of the year.
You gotta back to back against OKC, which may have
some grander importance if they continue to play as they

(11:47):
have thus far and the role players continue to hit
shots and thereby forcing other teams into force possessions bad possessions.
And how Luca's blocking shots. I mean, come on, yeah,
you got him committing on defense. So for Lebron easier times,
let's wear and tear on those, you know, thirty five

(12:08):
whatever minutes he's gonna play each night.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Yeah, everybody wins. Now, we would get into the genie
bus part of it. Now after her statements today about
Anthony Davis and why Anthony Davis wanted out Nothing this
out there, however, however, I haven't trot it out my
my Jason A. Smith in a while. I think I
think the Lakers. I think they were terrible. They were deplorable,
they were awful, they were the worst. I'm gonna run

(12:32):
for president one day, so I don't really care anymore.
We have big breaking news coming into us from the

was still on the team here in La as an
LA Charger. So Joey Bosa has been released.

(16:23):
we had a few minutes ago, brought to us by
Manci Bolanos, The Chargers have released Joey Bosa.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
The twenty nine year old who is one.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Of the best defensive players in the league for a
long time, has now been cut loose ahead of the
twenty twenty five new league year.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Here are the details as.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Justin Justin Frossberg said, the Chargers are going to save
twenty five million dollars on their salary cap after releasing Bosa,
and unlike the Cowboys, I think they'll spend it. So
they have cap They have about ninety one million dollars
of cap space.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Okay, So remember we talked about.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
The Chargers being just one maybe one away there being
a super Bowl caliber team. Last year was supposed to
be a free year. Hey, Harbaugh's coming in and he's
kind of getting his his act together. No, no, instead
playoffs and they still didn't have enough playmakers.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
Watch out for the Chargers man money.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
To spend, improvements to make and still I mean, it
is going to be some kind of offseason for the
Chargers and for Bosa. They kind of had to do
it right. It sucks because the guy is a great
work ethic. That's all you hear about him. Al along
as a guy has worked so hard to stay on
the field. But the reality is he's twenty nine years old.
He was doing another what fourteen million dollars next week.

(17:37):
The last three years, he can't stay on the field.
Last year he was on the field for the majority
of the season, but his production suffered.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
You kind of have to move on.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
It sucks, but you have to move on because I
gave you the over under of number of games Joey
Bose is gonna play the rest of his NFL career.
If I see he plays in twenty games, I take
the under. He kind of has that JJ Watt. You know, Hey,
I was really good. I know how good I am,
and boy, I want to be on the field, but
it's just too difficult. Like that's the kind of sense
of where he is at. He's still a big name

(18:07):
and he's still someone that if he is healthy, he
can produce. But is he really gonna be healthy. It's
not a one year I was heard. It's been three
years and now last year has been Hey, I really
he's just not the same guy. And there's a lot
of edge rushers out there. I'm sure the Eagles will
give away Bryce Huff and say, hey, we'd love to
get this guy. Wasn't even active for us the Super Bowl,
but he was really good a year ago. Yes, there's

(18:29):
a lot of edge rushers out there. You can go
out and get and replace and get a better production
from It's a shame, but it's necessary and it's needed.
Bosa's gonna go out, He's gonna be an all time
Charger and look at what this guy was coming into
the league. The little tiny shoulder pads was so great.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
But like, yeah, it's one of those things.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
It's one of those times where you go, I know,
it sucks for me, it sucks for you. I don't
want to be in here with this conversation. I don't
want to have it. I know how work you, how
hard you work, I know what you're like. But we
just have to go on, and we need to move on,
and with the production and the money that's coming around here,
we have no choice. Everybody can be sad, but this
is inevitable.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
And the Chargers had to do it.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Yeah, I mean three years and oftentimes on the injury
or even when he did play, you know, plays off
and and and having to battle through and so you're
trying to set your defensive front, and you know, they've
got to make a decision on whether Khalil Mack comes
back or not, Like I keep seeing him and old
pictures of him bears uniforms being resurrected or hey, he

(19:26):
go back to the Raiders, like all of those kind
of things that are happening, But his deal was voided,
so he's an unrestricted free agent as well. I think
it sets up for you know, you get the brothers
Bosa running together and trying to control the NFC West.
But at that price point, and with the number of
edge rushers in this year's draft, like, there's just too

(19:48):
many options to keep a guy around that has become
as beloved as he may be in his history and
some great moments in the past. It's a pretty hefty
price tag to keep him around and have to try
to wish and hope production and availability. No chance at
this point go find the younger model.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Yeah, I mean, like I said, it's a shame because
he has been that.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
He hasn't been that good in a while.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
You got to go back to twenty twenty one, the
last time he really jumped through double digits and sacks. So,
you know, it stinks, but at the same time, it
shines that spotlight on.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Oh wait a minute, this is a.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Team that somehow won ten games last year. I don't
know how, but they did. I don't know how. Quentin
Johnson became a little bit better player, but he did.
I don't know how Lad McConkie got through so many
teams in the NFL Draft, but he did. And I
don't know if there's any coincidence that this move happens
on a day where DK Metcalf asked for a trade

(20:45):
and Davante Adams reportedly has the Chargers and Rams at
the top of his list of teams he wants to
play for in twenty twenty five. Again, I don't think
that's a coincidence. But this is going to be some
kind of offseason for the Chargers. They're going to bring
in all the holes they need to fill.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
They will. That's why I watch out, watch out.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
We talked last night de Vonta Adams one of those
players that could put the Chargers over the top become
a big Super Bowl favorite. DK Metcalf is clearly that
guy too. But I mean, you look at where where
LA is at now, you know, hey make room. You know, yeah,
Ramstown too. But this might be a one of those
Rams Chargers charmed years where both teams are really good
and everybody's dreaming of an LA versus LA super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
It could be that kind of year.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
I like the way you got excited all there. But
you know it's it's the Dodgers and the Lakers.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Man, But.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
I'm not even talking about the team. But if you
have not, are you kidding?

Speaker 3 (21:37):
If if the.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Rams and Chargers looked like they could be on a
collision course, you know, you know whatd be like.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
It's like when when you know, when.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
The Kings have a big playoff run here, suddenly everybody
gets so into it for like a month, like, whoa
look at the Kings. Their playoff run is amazing, right,
all of a sudden, everybody's Kings fans, everybody's going to games.
You see the car flags out, and then the rest
of the year it's dad is not a lot. Now, look,
the LA is a little bit more of a Ram
town obviously, the Rams winning the Super Bowl being a
more heritage team there.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
You know they laid an Anaheim, so yeah, you got that.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
But if that happened, if all of a sudden, these
teams are racking up wins and they're doing it playing
exciting football, because both teams are gonna wind up playing
much more exciting offensively than you think. Yeah, all of
a sudden, it's gonna be Yeah, we'll get to the
Lakers and the dog. That's great, Dodgers. Dodgers are over
in October, Mike, It's fine. Dodge will end in October.
Will be They'll be able to flip the switch and go, Okay,
I'm going now, I'm going over to football time. I

(22:27):
got plenty of time for the Lakers. I don't need
to really pay attention to Lakers until after the All
Star break.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
I'm good.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
Yes, Lucas here, that's fine. I know we got KD
in the offseason.

Speaker 8 (22:36):
Two.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
Yeah, that's great, that's great.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Uh No, trust me, they will be able to take over,
and both teams are gonna spend and and the charges.
It's almost doesn't seem fair that here's a playoff team
and they have nearly one hundred million dollars in money
that that's gonna be ready to spend.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
Well, it's the beauty of arriving a year or two
early and being able to just replenish. Right, salary cap
goes up a bunch, so you get some help there too.
What is it settling in at about two seventy nine
and change? I say that with two hundred and seventy
nine million dollars, it's kind of funny and change and change.
But this frees up some space. Yeah, there's no coincidence.

(23:10):
I mean if your DK Metcalf, you're feeling really good.
You see what they did. Oh, let's go for DeVante
Adams or or dare I say both? Now, all of
that to say, you've got space and a few things
that need to be a dress. Right, you got some
some interior line work. We were talking about a little
bit last night as we talked about DeVante Adams. But
the show changes, new audience and new conversation. But that's it.

(23:35):
Up the gut. You've got all and and my guy
out of Northwestern, mister Slater, that you take care of.
You got to pay him eventually too. But you're looking at,
you know, building the old line. You'll go out and
find another running back right to add to the to
the to the list there, because you're still going to
run the ball a bunch, but you know the money

(23:55):
allows you to go get that number one established DK
Metcalf as an number one receiver, and I appreciate and
I lagged the efforts that that Gino smith Is has
given to the Seahawks, you know, resurrecting his career after
those rough origin stories in with the Jets and having
his face broken.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Dude, who doesn't have rough origin stories with the Jets?

Speaker 3 (24:18):
They all do it.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
They're like the X Men, and we got a series. Man,
Where'd you come from?

Speaker 8 (24:23):
Man?

Speaker 1 (24:23):
I had a rough life growing up. My dad didn't
like the fact I was a mutant. I had to
hide my powers. The kids all yelled at me at school.
I didn't have any friends. That's like the beginning of
everybody's career with the Jets. Yeah, that was the Jets
my first four years. But hey, now I got out
and everything is fantastic.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Hey, can we do this as like a series of
like triumphant books, like through little Golden books, like little
cartoon guys that were on the Jets.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Oh, the little Golden books.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
Yeah, like the all the little Carroll looking State Puff
marshmallow Man.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Yeah, yeah, I like that.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
That's adorable.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Oh look at you, Look at you coming.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
That might be the warmest and fuzziest story thing you've
ever brought up in eleven years.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
Because you're the most profitable too. Yeah, usually talking about people.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
That are dead, But now you went to say, hey,
kids like and everything.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
I'm proud of you.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Man, Like you know you're now seeing sunshine, lollipops and rainbows.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
Everywhere in turn in the corner. I mean, it's all
about positivity Wednesday as you roll in. But you know,
especially when you think about all of that money that
the Chargers and Justin Frosberg now have to spend on
greatness and to rebuild and reshape the squad. So, yeah,
you made the playoffs. You got there, and it showed
where you had some glaring issues that needed to be addressed,

(25:37):
one of which is, all right, where are we old?
Let's get rid of the old. Sorry thirty year old.
We move on in the in the NFL world. In
regular life, Hey, you can get to eight and you
can be ninety eight and be Dick Van Dyke dancing along.
I'm no fool No. Three.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
I'm gonna live to be one hundred and three. What
you got, Frostberg, You've been thinking about this for a
few minutes.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
What he got?

Speaker 7 (26:00):
I just got a text from Abby.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Guys, Okay, your wife texted you at.

Speaker 5 (26:03):
The screenshot of BOSA and it said WTF with.

Speaker 8 (26:08):
A wow.

Speaker 7 (26:11):
And then the next one.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Okay, first a d Now this.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
You're gonna get home and you're gonna, Abby, why are
your bags packed?

Speaker 3 (26:22):
I'm leaving. I didn't sign up for this.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
You you good luck with the charges, with your boat,
without Bosa, without a d I'm leaving it.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
She's just gonna bulk.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Right out and say that's it, drop her chargeer hat
on the ground, and she walks out quickly.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
I didn't sign up for this. No, no, no, no
no no.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
So clearly you have to go home and explain the
whole you know, Hey, here's a situation. It's not just
as easy as hey, we're we were moving on from Joey.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
Bosa and now I got the Ron Burgundy in the glasshouse.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yeah, there you go, Okay, we got emotions.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
Well, I mean he's as Monsey said when she did
the original update, right, he's the last of the San
Diego Superchargers.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Yeah, I mean really, it's that well, the last one
that's with the that's with the team in LA that
that yeah, yeah, of course.

Speaker 8 (27:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Wow, you're already killing everybody. Oh everybody, see now you
now you're back to killing people off.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
You know what I meant, couldn't know?

Speaker 3 (27:14):
You didn't you say he's the last everybody else is gone?
I did not say they were dead. They're all gone.
You just said it right now.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
No, I didn't.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
I didn't kill them.

Speaker 4 (27:22):
Yeah, you said they're not with the team anymore.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
No, they're gone.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
They might go special advisors. They might be guys shaking hands,
kissing babies and signing autographs, but they're not one of them.

Speaker 7 (27:32):
I'm gonna in the sleep of one eye on me.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
You're like that doctor from Arrest of Development. I'm sorry.
We've lost George Senior. Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Yeah, he got up and left. We don't know what
happened to him. Why would you say it like that.
I don't understand.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
Uh. We got more coming up in ninety seconds.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
But first, the aforementioned Mancy Blangos has what's trending in
the wide.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
World of sports Mancie when he got for us tonight.

Speaker 6 (27:58):
Well, yes, guys, they're the charge Players are not dead.

Speaker 7 (28:01):
Harmon didn't kill anybody.

Speaker 8 (28:03):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
No, no, no, that's not what I watch.

Speaker 9 (28:04):
I got you, I got you, I appreciate you, no problem,
no problem.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
But those I.

Speaker 6 (28:10):
Really say, no, no, no, no, not at all. But the Chargers,
as you guys have already talked about, did release five
time Pro Bowl pass rusher Joey Bosa. He was drafted
by the team in San Diego in twenty sixteen, seventy
two career sacks. The move does say twenty five point
three million in salary cap space for la other moves
that happened today in the NFL, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott

(28:32):
restructured his contract, freeing up thirty six million in salary
cap space. The Chiefs traded thirty two year old All
Pro guard Joe Toney to the Chicago Bears for a
fourth round pick in next month's draft. And let's move
on to the NBA. The first team to clinch to
clinch a playoff spot Cavaliers. No surprise there. They won
twelve in a row. They outscored the Heat one twelve
to one oh seven. I don't know if you guys

(28:54):
watched the end of the game, but Duncan Robinson from
Miami had a game tying three with like seventeen seconds
left and it was waved off because he stepped out
of bounds.

Speaker 4 (29:03):
Oh, it was so good, It was so crazy.

Speaker 6 (29:06):
The Celtics they top the Trailblazers went twenty eight to
one eighteen. As you guys were talking about.

Speaker 9 (29:10):
The first duo to score forty points in the same
game is not the duo you would think. Peyton Pritchard
off the bench forty three points, ten threes made, Derek
White forty one points, nine threes made.

Speaker 6 (29:24):
Celtics played without Jason Tatum, Drew Holiday and Chris stops
porzingis I'm choking, but I'm fine. The Timber was defeated.
The Hornets went twenty five to one ten the Wizards
and the Jazz. Nobody cares, but you never know. The
Washington won one twenty five.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
Says that you never know.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
That means how much money did you have on that game?

Speaker 6 (29:42):
I'm not me, but somebody made have had money on
the game, but I did not.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
So in other words, your mom bet on that.

Speaker 7 (29:48):
Yeah, that was a terrible game for anyone to bet on.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
The two Wizard over under two thirty.

Speaker 7 (29:54):
Oh, oh my goodness.

Speaker 4 (29:56):
The Bucks of now won four in a row.

Speaker 6 (29:57):
They crushed the poor Mavericks won thirty seven to one
on seven. Right now, halfway through the third quarter. The
King's holding onto their lead over the Nuggets in Denver,
seventy nine to seventy three. Late in the second quarter,
it's the thunder who are topping the Grizzlies fifty one
to forty seven in men's college hoops on FS one.
With about eight minutes to go, Yukon has taken the
lead from number twenty Marquette sixty one fifty four, and

(30:20):
with about twelve minutes to go, Number four Tennis se
holding onto their lead over Ole Miss fifty two to
forty eight. And last here guys on the ice, Alex
Avenchkin is now just ten goals away from breaking Wing
Gretzky's all time scoring record as the Capital's edge the
Rangers three to two in overtime. Back to you, guys,
thanks a bunch of mons, say you, guys, check out story.

Speaker 5 (30:42):
Is gonna come on the ice and beat him up
when he breaks Gretzki's record?

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Yeah, but then they'll throw him off because he has
the wrong kind of stick, so that you won't be
able to get on.

Speaker 7 (30:50):
Yeah, of course you would go there two to do
him soon.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Just a really quick on that Yukon game. The Monts
you mentioned on Fox Sports one. Right now, you talk
about a team that needs a win, I know that
it's it's you know, we want to write in Yukon
into making it into the NCAA tournament because they've won
back to back titles and and Danny Hurley is gonna
beat anybody up that wants to keep them out.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
But they need a W here, man, you know, this
is the thing.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
They could use a win over a top twenty team
because their resume ain't great. Yes, they're fourth in the
Big East, but they're fourth in the Big East. Big
East does usually get four teams in, like, you know,
a reputation. It'd be really hard to let them out.
But man, they could really use that W tonight to say, Okay,
now we feel a lot better about putting Yukon in
the tournament because you know, they lose tonight, suddenly they're

(31:38):
twenty and ten, twelve and seven in the in the
Big East and not a top twenty five team and
not close to being a top twenty five team. They
need this W tonight in the worst way. This is
a huge game for Yukon.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
If they do lose, do they blame the leaky roof?
Uh problem? You know, hey, it's a problem there the
best coach in the land.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Yeah, I can't lost nature. He'll also blame the media too, yeah,
treating him badly over the Clu.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
Blame that too. Yeah, no, that's absolutely happened.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
Yeah, so Spider Man back at him.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Uh, you conned again. Sixty one to fifty four of
Marquette a big ten oh run uh to give ukon
the seven point lead. But coming up next, we have
more big news out of the NFL. And because you know,
Mike decided to take fun and then turn it into
really dark stories like hey, hey, I.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
Did not.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
I'm Joe positivity over here, whistling Dixie protect.

Speaker 7 (32:30):
At all costs.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
Okay, a case of emotion again. I could be part
of that expanded you know, Winnie the Pooh Bamby universe.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Now, yeah, let me.

Speaker 5 (32:42):
Go think about going your gates.

Speaker 4 (32:45):
You gotta givell of Fame speech first.

Speaker 1 (32:47):

So Travis Kelsey has simply been feeding us a low
to crap ever since before the super Bowl. Right now,
before the Super Bowl begins, he has his press conference,

(33:49):
you know, big media night, four days before the game,
and he talks about how, Hey, I'm excited to come
back to play. Hopefully I'm playing football in three years.
I really love playing. I'm still playing at a high level.
I still love it. This is Travis Kelce from four
days before.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
The Super Bowl.

Speaker 10 (34:06):
Where will I be in three years? Oh man, I
don't know. Hopefully still playing football. I I love I
love doing this. I love coming into work every day.
And you know, I still I feel like I still
got a lot of good football left in me.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
But we'll see, We'll see what happens.

Speaker 10 (34:20):
I I know I've been setting myself up for other
opportunities in my life, and that's always been the goal.
Knowing that football only lasts for so long, you got
to find a way to get into another career, into
another you know, profession, And I've been doing that in
my off seasons. But for the most part, I plan
on being a Kansas City chief and playing football.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Okay, so that's pretty definitive, right, Mike Carbon, that's pretty defensive.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
I'm gonna play football. That's kind of a big gay.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Right after the Super Bowl, Travis Kelcey gave us the yeah,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
I gotta sit back.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
I don't want to rush into a decision.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
I don't really want to make something and decide something
too hasty. And we told you right then, this is
this is a load of crap. This is him wanting
more money.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Right.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yes, he's doing all these things outside of the NFL.
He has a big career outside of the NFL. He's
hosting television shows. That's all gonna be there. But can
only play NFL for so long. He's got one year
left on his deal for eleven and a half million dollars,
not a lot of guaranteed money. He's looking was looking
for a new contract. He would look just like anybody
who makes noise after the season is over about I

(35:26):
don't know if I want to stay. I don't know,
Like Matthew Stafford, we told you it was all about money.
It's all about money. But the Chiefs played hardball and
they basically said, yeah, Travis, take your time.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
We're good. We're going whenever you whenever you decide what
you want to do, we're good. Yeah. So he tried
to do the whole.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Hey, I'm using my leverage, but clearly in the diminishing
year he had this year and being invisible in the
Super Bowl, the Chiefs are like, yeah, we know we're
gonna replace you. He's still a top five tight end,
you know, a type top five ish tight end in
the NFL. So you're gonna replace him at some point.
But yeah, okay, you know, next year, we're not going
to give you extra money because we think this is
it for you. Maybe one more year you can give us,

(36:03):
but that's it. And then he comes out and he says, no, no,
I'm coming back next year. Right a few days ago,
I'm coming back. I'm excited, ready to go, ready to go,
ready to play, And he goes on his podcast today
and he says, oh, the fire burned. I was pissed
off after losing to the to the Eagles. I can't
go out that way. I gotta go out. I have
a lot of great football left to play. And I'm like,
wait a minute, So you were so despondent after the

(36:25):
game or were you fired up? Like I didn't understand,
Like right after the game you seem really upset and
you didn't know if you wanted to play, but then
you were fired up after losing, Like come on, man,
I mean just just say, hey, I tried to get
more money out of out of the Chiefs and I
couldn't and and it just didn't work.

Speaker 4 (36:42):
We wanted to do it nice.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
I didn't want it to be a situation where it
got combative, where people were saying, hey, it's it's the
Stafford and it's Matthew and Kelly Stafford against the against
the Rams. I didn't want it to be it's Travis
Kelcey and Taylor Swift against the Chiefs. He wanted to
do it nice, right, he does all the commercials.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
Look.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
He wanted to do it in a way where hey,
I really think I'm worth more money, and the Chiefs
were like, hey, yeah, we really like you, but let
us know when you're coming back. That's kind of what
we're doing. So all of this from Kelsey at all this,
I'm fired about next year, all of this, it's a
load of crap. He's got one more year to play
football to get paid a lot of money, and as
much he's gonna do the rest of his career with
other things. Is he going to play football again for

(37:23):
this kind of cash? Life after football is long, right,
Phil Simms a big guy saying that, listen, when you've
stopped playing, and those next ten to fifteen years after
that's long time man for you to try to figure
something else out to do. All the other stuff will
still be there for him. He'll still be a big,
big marketable guy. But when you're playing and you're a
star and you're doing these things, you still get a

(37:45):
lot You still a lot of people treat you differently
and make you a priority. When you stop playing, eh
kind of goes away a little bit. So I know
he really wanted to play. He was just looking for
more money.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
He would play. I went, I wanted to play another
three years.

Speaker 1 (37:59):
I think he's telling you. I want two more years
added to my end to deal here. I want to
I want to play till I'm thirty eight, and then
I want to retire and walk away. Things have been
going great though. Taylor in my relationship is good. She's
on tour, I'm playing football. Everything is great. I do
the podcast with my brother. I work for forty minutes
a day in the offseason once a week. Everything is fantastic.
Just say, I tried to get more money and it

(38:20):
didn't happen, So okay, and now we're putting that behind us.

Speaker 3 (38:23):
I'm coming back this year.

Speaker 4 (38:24):
No, but this is the better way to do it, right,
I mean, because look how much vitriol you got. Kelly Stafford,
Matt Stafford, everybody right had their poison pens out of
Get her out of town, and I don't care how
good a quarterback he is. Wait, we have to get
who's I still want her out of town. Hey, Taylor
didn't come out with you know a disc track off

(38:45):
of the Aras tour. You know, I got a little
time on my hands. Now, let's get in the studio
and collaborate some kind of song featuring you know, nine
people as you want to do up, up and down
the charts these days. But you know, for Kelsey, sure,
I mean that was the nice way to do the
I'd love to add a couple of years if we
have to smooth out the money.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
All good.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
You know, it's all sunshine and rainbows, as you like
to say, because you're heading lollypops.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Super sunshine, lollipops and rainbow. I left the lollipops.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
I can't.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
I'm trying to avoid the lollipops right now. So if
you can say you can, you can do. You can
do lollipops and song. It's okay, okay, but I didn't
sing it. You can see that's how. That's how Chief
Wigham sings a song. Sign that rainbows okay anytime we
can get wig them into the conversation. Elevated the discourse
a whole other level. But all that to say, yeah,

(39:36):
you probably tried to get another two years somewhere near
the money that you're scheduled to make this year twelve
point five roster bonus cap hits at nineteen, the bass
salary at four and a half. Trying to get that,
or maybe just saying hey, I've done a lot for you.
I've brought a lot of people here, a lot of
asses in seats based on who I'm dating. Cut me
a bigger check, and they smiled at him and said, no,

(39:58):
thank you. And now you come back, you play your
one year and if things are progressing well, then guess
what It'll be a series of one year deals or
maybe a whole sign at two to one if he
does climb back to the mountaintop. He started going off
full WWE kind of speech talking to his brother about
what he needs to do. I'm going back to the

(40:20):
mountaintop brother, literally, brother.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
I mean, look, that's really what it is with Travis Kelsey.
He's gonna play one more year in the NFL, and
that's it, right because clearly he is diminishing. He's gone
for when when you go from being that great a
player to being still really good, you don't have that
much time.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Well, there's no European part of the Eras tour this
time around.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
Oh that is okay, okay, So there is that.

Speaker 4 (40:45):
There's that that you don't have gyms in Europe and all.
But you know, he's saying he needs to rededicate himself
be in the best shape of his life.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
Jason Load of.

Speaker 4 (40:54):
Crap we've been getting from Travis Melson.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
Load of crap.

Speaker 7 (40:57):
I told you that for years.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
Load of Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
Frostburg's been saying that forever.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
Coming up next, what is, without a doubt, the most

(41:46):
and bring in a longtime friend of the show. We
have paid him in sandwiches the last few years. You
can check him out in the thirty third team. He's
helping the Jets get GM's head coaches. He is a
pro football haul, a very good voter. You can find
them on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two. It is
Jason Cole. What's happened to man, how are you?

Speaker 8 (42:08):
I'm sim what's going on today? You have what what's
going on today?

Speaker 2 (42:17):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (42:17):
There says so much good stuff, man, I mean of
all the all the big yeah.

Speaker 8 (42:22):
I mean the Cowboys are ready for bear. So that's good.

Speaker 3 (42:25):
No, that's the best one. Like the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (42:27):
And that the fact that they announced we're we're saving
thirty six million dollars a salary cap. We've redone Dak's
deal in tandem with Jerry Jones saying doesn't mean we're
going to spend it. Like that's peak Dallas Cowboys. Like
that's that's that's my favorite thing of the day.

Speaker 3 (42:43):
Man. Oh, it doesn't mean we're gonna spend the money.

Speaker 4 (42:44):
So ah, just when you zig, I'm going to zag.

Speaker 8 (42:48):
Just so you know, we we we feel very confident
and our ability to work to draft and feel every
hole that we had on this team last year, and
then just to increase our defense suspeciality. I've got some
new hype dep steroid cowboy b Okay secondary.

Speaker 3 (43:11):
You know where you're rolling with that?

Speaker 8 (43:12):
Okay, double buzz double the buzz.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
I mean really, I mean, Mike and I said a
few minutes ago, it's okay, Jerry Jones says, not going
to necessarily use that money to fill voids on the roster,
when that's exactly what free agency exists for, for you
to fill voids on the phone.

Speaker 8 (43:30):
No, No, that's all. That's all a mirage. That's that's
not that's what free agency is about. That's not what
we spend money. We don't do it that way.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
That's what they exactly what they would expect us to do.

Speaker 4 (43:45):
I agree that everybody sends Nick Chubb cards in the
mail to a T and E stadium one after another.

Speaker 8 (43:57):
It's so great. It's so great to I mean, it's
just the way that he works it and the fans
keep buying it. Like that's the thing that that really
just amazes me. Cowboys fans keep buying tickets. They just
they keep the just go like when are you guys

(44:18):
gonna like, oh no, no, we want to be there.
When he like finally you know, changes his ways. Why
would he change his ways?

Speaker 3 (44:27):
It's been years.

Speaker 8 (44:30):
Like why like why would he spend money? Now? Why
why would he do it? Yeah, we went out and
got we let go of McCarthy so that we can
get Shottenheimer and now we trust in Brian's ability to
turn this all around.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
It's all the time, if you.

Speaker 8 (44:58):
My question is, well, Shottenheimer be doing the Jason Garrett
clap on the sideline for like the next four or
five years. Yeah? Well yeah, even after you know, Dak
throws a pick six to change the game and then
there's Jason Garrett there clapping on the sideline. Is that
what shoten Hemmer is going to do now? Is that

(45:18):
what's going to happen? I just want to know.

Speaker 4 (45:22):
Well, on the plus side, though, j Cole he can
act and kind of do whatever he wants because of
what's happening with the Mavericks. So I don't think Jerry
does kind of get into a vacuum at this point.

Speaker 8 (45:34):
How about that Niko Harrison, how about that? He's a
fine last I love the work he's doing over there.
He's really helping us out. Really that he's done such
a fine job and taking pressure off the Cowboys. It
is a fantastic I think to watch that at work,
it really is.

Speaker 4 (45:54):
I just wanted to take the pressure.

Speaker 1 (45:55):
He's had a bad last few weeks, so I wanted
to take the pressure off him by saying, hey, forget
We're the real team you want to make fun of.

Speaker 4 (46:02):
So at least I gave him a day off of that.
Then get back at.

Speaker 8 (46:05):
It to moment you got. You guys can own the
NBA season. I'll catch up with the free agency. We
don't spend any money. We'll be help. Yeah, problem your help?

Speaker 4 (46:21):
Sorry?

Speaker 8 (46:22):
No, no, go ahead, please listen. Had this had teetered
out anyways, It's okay.

Speaker 4 (46:27):
I wanted to see it come to it to natural conclusion.

Speaker 8 (46:31):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (46:31):
But you know, since we're talking about taking pressure away,
Joey Bosa released by the Chargers, how soon is DK
metcalf announced?

Speaker 8 (46:40):
But he gets released, he finds his.

Speaker 4 (46:43):
Way to the Chargers via via trade here.

Speaker 8 (46:48):
You know, I'm curious about this of do you think
hardball wants a lot of guys who have opinions that
are not his? Because I remember Jimmy Johnson was really
big on that when he went into Dallas and he
cleared out. Now it was a bad team to begin with,
but he went to Dallas and he cleared out everybody,

(47:09):
and then he went in to Miami and he cleared
out a bunch of guys. Parcels was like that too,
And I get a little feeling that Harbaugh's the guy
of Okay, we got this quarterback, but I want guys
to buy into my way of doing things. And I
don't know that Dk Metcalf fits that bill. I mean, look,
they need a receiver, and you know, like the first

(47:30):
question this morning on another show, I was honest, well
what about Davante Adams and the Chargers. I just get
the same feeling of you don't want to is Harbaugh
gonna want to pay a guy who he doesn't know
whether that guy buys into everything that he wants to do.
And I get the feeling that Harbaugh is stubborn enough

(47:51):
to say I want guys to do it my way,
and I want to build my culture my way. And
I would be surprised if they went I mean, you know,
they need a receiver. But unless it's a guy who's
going to do it their way, you know, or is
you know, willing to come in on a contract where
he has sort of let go of control of of

(48:14):
who who's really in charge here. I don't know that
Harbat does that. I'd be really kind of surprised with that.

Speaker 3 (48:21):
Yeah, but they have all this money.

Speaker 1 (48:23):
I mean, if he wanted to do that and keep
bringing guys like Hassan Haskins, you know, I mean, Okay,
that's what we're going to do.

Speaker 3 (48:29):
I mean he went last year.

Speaker 1 (48:30):
He brought in Gus Edward brought in a couple of
running backs, probably because his brothers, those.

Speaker 8 (48:36):
Like those are those are guys. They come in at
your price, and they come in having done your way.
They also were guys who had played for his brother,
so you knew that those guys understood what the system was,
what the expectation was.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
Got it here?

Speaker 1 (48:53):
Mark Andrews is going to be Mark Andrews will be
a charger.

Speaker 3 (48:56):
Got it?

Speaker 1 (48:56):
Okay, Mark Andrews to the Chargers?

Speaker 8 (48:58):
Got it well? I mean again, it's this is a
philosophy that certain guys have is I don't want guys
who I can't tell them what to do because I've
got to pay him, or they have opinions from other places.
I mean, it's a famous Jimmy Johnson quote. I don't
want guys with a lot of opinions. That's just how

(49:19):
he acted. And I know that you know that goes
against what fans think, but that's part of it. You
want guys who are like yes, sir, no, sir, I'll
do it your way. I'll follow your guidelines and that's
the way it's going to be. So I just think
Jim Harbaz that kind of guy.

Speaker 3 (49:39):
All right.

Speaker 1 (49:39):
So for Bosa going out, I mean I kind of
looked at him. He's kind of in that late career
JJ Watt part where I said if he plays over
I put the over under it fifteen NFL games, as
he played over fifteen games the rest of his career
and he just can't stay on the field. Or do
you do you think there could be another destination for him?

Speaker 8 (49:59):
Well, this is going to be I mean what the
mom already wants it to happen, and they'll take him
on the chief and they were interesting before, so that
makes a lot of sense that he would go there. Yeah,
he can say he can save money by living with
with Nick. So you got that probably Did you imagine

(50:23):
that is a reality show? That would be awesome. The
Bosa's in the Bay area, the Bay that's.

Speaker 4 (50:29):
What we Yeah, yeah, oh, patting that idea right now.
TLC is going to have that by tomorrow.

Speaker 8 (50:35):
Okay, Carl star kissed, that's what we're going to do.

Speaker 4 (50:39):
Get the tune to fish to eat the mayonnaise.

Speaker 3 (50:41):
I got it.

Speaker 4 (50:41):
This is Chuck reminding Bill to shut up.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
To shut up, to shut up.

Speaker 4 (50:48):
All right, Well to that end as we talk about
that reality shows. You know, the thirty third team now
runs North Carolina.

Speaker 3 (50:56):
So is your association with.

Speaker 4 (50:57):
Our show the thing that killed Belichick's hard Knocks.

Speaker 8 (51:03):
I love everything Belch, I love belt Check, I love
everything about Beltchick. You guys know that he finally returned
my email about I had some questions on a book
project I'm working on. It only took him like three months,
but he got back to me. He's been busy, I admit,
you know, like he's been a little caught up with things.

(51:24):
So I finally got that. I'm working on the questions
to send back to him right now. So yeah, but yeah,
he's on retainer basically thirteen.

Speaker 1 (51:34):
All right, good, So that book will come out when
twenty forty. Twenty forty five is when you're looking at
by the time all the back and forth is done.

Speaker 8 (51:41):
On this book. Yeah, gone, I think twenty fifty might
be early.

Speaker 5 (51:49):
Wow, it'll come out before you buy him his next sandwich.

Speaker 8 (51:54):
No, no, no, wow, Rodbert going drop rope. Look at this.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
We weren't I wasn't the person to I should say
I weren't because we were. We were the people invited him
to come and hang out with us, and you decided
to blow us off.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
Last time you're in l A great. Thanks, appreciate that.

Speaker 8 (52:12):
Well, I had things to do.

Speaker 3 (52:15):
We had a sandwich for you. I still have a sandwich.

Speaker 4 (52:18):
It's still there.

Speaker 8 (52:19):
It's still in the refrigerator, same sandwich. Yeah. I sort
of believe that it's.

Speaker 4 (52:28):
A radio studio lasting that long.

Speaker 8 (52:31):
Quarterback Next year, tell me, tell me who the Jeff
quarterback is going to be.

Speaker 4 (52:35):
Kyle McCord. I mind blown.

Speaker 3 (52:42):
Kyle McCord.

Speaker 4 (52:46):
McQueen, the director, the deceased stature, Steve McQueen, Oh my goodness.

Speaker 8 (52:55):
Peter Peter Brock.

Speaker 3 (52:58):
He had a strong arm theater Brock. Come on, number five,
Dieter Brock, Come on.

Speaker 8 (53:03):
I thought that was he five? Or was he? Who
was the twenty one with John Adel?

Speaker 4 (53:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (53:07):
Yeah, John Hadel. John Hale had my grade. Hold on
the Woodies thing.

Speaker 4 (53:14):
Oh wait, wait wait, let's go and Adrian Roadie, hold on,
hold on round, hold off on what he's around it?

Speaker 8 (53:21):
Just for a second. John Handel had this great story.
He was big quarterback guys for Dan Reeves and Dan
Reeves in Denver. This is what el ways quarterback when
he was a rookie. They put together this really complicated offense.
It's the it's the old Tom Landry offense from from Dallas,
which was all the goofy numbered right, and John Hadl

(53:44):
was quarterback coach and always like, man, I don't know
how to work this thing, you know, like the numberings
on backwards. What do I do? John? And Adel goes
to him. I don't understand it either. I got your
back up, kid. Don't worry about it. Wowzim Reeves calls

(54:07):
you out. I'll take the blames. Don't worry about it, kid.
I love John, Love John Handel.

Speaker 4 (54:14):
He's on Twitter at Jason Cole sixty two.

Speaker 1 (54:17):
That is at Jason Cole sixty two thirty third team.

Speaker 3 (54:21):
What he's round up.

Speaker 4 (54:22):
J Cole is always buddy, appreciate event.

Speaker 3 (54:24):
