Please give this you're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Thursday is turned into Friday and the SEC Tournament in Nashville.
Clock strikes midnight and now they're playing Friday morning. So
you heard Manci say Kentucky and Oklahoma in a tight
one eighty one seventy seven with forty one seconds to go.
We are broadcasting live from the tierreq dot com studios
tyreq dot com. We'll help you get there at unmatch
selection fast free shipping, free road has a protection and

(00:48):
over ten thousand recommended installers. Tirec dot com the way
tire buying should be to kind of give you an
overview of what's happened tonight. I do want to start
and say something about the SEC Tournament here sure and
while it is being broadcast by ESPN and their partners
I was shocked to see that they had Jay Billis

(01:13):
at the SEC tournament, Like this is a they like.
For them to go to the ACC tournament is the
him and Dan Schulman ACC Tournament. It feels like it's
always a given, but because of the stature of the
SEC this year, probably the partnership plays into it. But
they're at this tournament in Nashville for all the right reasons.

(01:37):
I'm just surprised that it actually went that far. So
two things.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
One, I actually heard that they they did as a
as a group, as a pairing. They were doing some
SEC game and they made they did make a pseudo
big deal about it, like not in a negative way,
just in a you know, we're really excited. We've been
going to the ACC for years, but the SEC is
so good this year, we have to be there. I
forget what game they were doing, but I did hear
them talk about it. The other thing I was thinking

(02:01):
about because I don't need to I don't need to
nerd out on TV pairings, but Carl Ravage and Jimmy
Dikes have historically done the SEC. If you've noticed, they've
been doing a lot of Saturday games as they phased
Dicky v back in, So I wonder if they're gonna
send those two Ravage and Jimmy Dikes to the ACC
and then kind of bring in the familiar voice with

(02:23):
Dicky V over the course of the rest of the
weekend that I don't know, but it won't surprise me.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
I there was also talk and I think Jay Billis
had made me talk. Maybe it was Jimmy Train. I
can't remember who it was, but Jay Billis talked about
his time of doing the broadcast on CBS for the
nc DOT or did it for a few years. But
now the reason why Jay Billis and I don't have
this on authority, but I would think that this is
the reason, because it was the same reason why they

(02:47):
didn't do it with Dick Vital was he's their Numero
uno guy, sure, the number one guy, Like they're fine
letting their two and three guy going freelance Jim Jackson,
him and Gus Johnson the biggest guys on Fox.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Moore.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Uh, Fox Sports doesn't have a problem with JJ going
doing some work for CBS during the NCAA tournament. ESPN
never let Dick Fightteale do it once it got outside,
and I think everybody said, call com we have Dick
fight tail. He was their top commodity. They wanted him
for that, and that's what you got.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
I think that's one we you know, we gotta find
some middle ground there, because it's like the thing is
to where you say something.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
I was just gonna say, I feel the middle ground
is Bill Raftery being on the lead broadcast.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
He it is, but I just feel like, listen, First
of all, I'll just say it, CBS doesn't really seem
to make college basketball priority, like up until literally the
last weekend of the regular season, and I do think
the fans become sort of accustomed to the J Billis's
the whatever. The guys that call, you know, J billis

(03:48):
Is probably called what one hundred games this year, seventy games.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Something like that.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
So I wish we could find some ground in the middle.
Remember the College Football Playoff, they sub licensed games to
TNT and they used ESPN broadcas asking crews. You would
hope that they could do that, But I know that
CBS has been broadcasting forever. They have their own guys
and girls, so I'm not surprised that they've made the
decision not to do that.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
He is Aaron Torres. I'm Dan Byer. We are in
for Jason Smith and Mike Carmens tonight live fromthetirerech dot
Com studios and maybe Friday where you are, It's Thursday
where we are here on the West coast, up the
coast in Seattle. Earlier today, Seahawks introduced Sam Darnold, their
newest piece at quarterback. They also it signed to Marcus Lawrence,

(04:29):
defensive defensive end of the Dallas Cowboys, and DeMarcus Lawrence
had something very interesting to say about his former team,
the Dallas Cowboys, when speaking in Seattle today. Change the
scenery is always good, you know.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
But Dallas is my home, made my home there, you know,
my family lives there forever going to be there.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
But I know for sure I'm not gonna win a
Super Bowl there. And that set off then the beat
between between Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence beefing on Twitter,
going back and forth, just one of the entertaining things
going on. He was speaking with Brian Nemhauser, who covers

(05:08):
the Seahawks. Hawk Blogger is what Brian is known as.
But that was the comment from the Marcus Lawrence. Another highlight.
We just had to highlight the SEC tournaments.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Yeah, Kentucky had a three point lead with about twenty
seconds to go.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Oklahoma scores.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Kentucky then turns the ball over and Oklahoma has just
scored again to take a one point lead. It's the
final game of the SEC Tournament. I don't have the
stats in front of me, but it was like they've scored.
Oklahoma has overcome a big lead in a very short.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Amount of time.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
I didn't mean to cut you off there in the
middle of the de Marcus Lawrence stuff, but I think
Kentucky was up about like six seven points with like
a minute to go.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
I just gave Kentucky the victory. Yeah, I think I
did too. I just said, it looks like the Cats
are moving on and gonna be playing on Friday of
the SEC Tournament. You are right. I felt Kentucky had
a ten point lead recently. Monzis dead. Moncy Bolanios at
the news desk, do you remember what the score was
seven minutes ago when you gave it at the top

(06:09):
of the hour, and your you're updating.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
Eighty one to seventy five at the one minute mark.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
Yeah, it was like I think they were up by
seven with about a minute to go.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
I also thought it was over.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
They were up.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
They were up eighty to seventy three, and then they
were up eighty one to seventy five. They were up
eighty one to seventy five with forty six seconds to go,
and they trail now eighty four to eighty three with five.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Seconds to go. But they do have the ball.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Though, they do have the ball. So I didn't mean
to cut you off on DeMarcus Lawrence, but I mean,
this is, uh, we're kind of just doing a hits
of the night while we've been in here. Luca had
forty five for the Lakers. The only problem was the
Bucks one by twenty over LA. So that happened in
the NBA tonight. We've got college basketball here, there, and everywhere.
So I'm glad that we at least updated this because
Oklahoma is sitting there on the bubble of the NCAA tournament.

(06:58):
They need as many wins is they can get, especially
in this scenario. So Oklahoma, if you can get a
victory here in advance to the quarterfinals, a solid opportunity
to pick up a victory. But it doesn't look like
it's going to happen as Kentucky has just scored with

(07:19):
five TETs of a second left and the Wildcats will
survive against Oklahoma. We didn't want to give the play
by play because we do not have the rights, but
we can tell you Kentucky a late bucket surviving Sooners
in that last gasp effort, unable to get the defensive stop,
Kentucky goes the length of the floor and scores two things.

(07:39):
One I am on Twitter and I saw two people
in the arena call the win before we saw it
in real time. The player who just scored that game
winning baskets named otega Oway. By the way, his brother
plays for the Ravens. Whatever Otago Away is in Oklahoma transfer.
So wo may have just knocked his former team out

(08:00):
of you know, he knocked them out of the SEC tournament.
In theory, it might have knocked them out.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Of the NCAA tournament. Pictures they were in Lunardi's bracket
I know on ESPN, and they were not one of
the last four in They were in as a ten seed.
But again, when you only have six conference wins, this
is what's going to be interesting to see about what
the committee does in terms of filling out this bracket
and how you look at an overall schedule. Does conference

(08:28):
record even matter, which again goes to the point we
touched on earlier, And if you're just joining us, welcome in.
He's Aaron Torres, I'm Dan Byer in for Jason Smith
and Mike Carmon. The Big Twelve has decided to trim
down the number of conference games from twenty to eighteen.
I don't understand the reasoning. But if the committee is
going to look at these conference records in a different

(08:49):
fashion or look at them in a certain way, maybe
you don't want to have so many losses. I'm not
sure of the reasoning. I don't find I've if you're
playing conference games, you're playing conference tournaments, you're adding loss
to thirteen of your schools anyway, or fifteen of your
schools if you have sixteen schools and it it just
doesn't make a lot of sense. But we'll We'll see
what happens with Oklahoma, a six and twelve team, whether

(09:11):
they get into the NCAA Tournament or not.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
I'll be curious because you know, you would think that
if you're beating bad teams, it doesn't help the metrics.
But just as an example in the S or in
the Big twelve right now, like Baylor came into this
weekend very much on the bubble, and I bring it
up because they entered the tournament. They're nineteen and fourteen overall,
so that obviously means they were eighteen and thirteen entering

(09:33):
the tournament.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
You know, you can't just to.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
Equate take two losses off the Baylor schedule and put
on two wins because you don't know who they would
have played and who they wouldn't have played in conference.
I do think twenty and eleven as opposed to eighteen
and thirteen does look different.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
I don't know if the computers were affected because you brought.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Up the good point of some of these ACC teams
like a Wake Forest that's you know, twenty two and
nine or whatever. The win loss record doesn't matter, so
I'll be curious to see how it gets impasted.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
So in the NCAA Men's net rankings, just for example,
North Carolina came in at the start of the day
thirty sixth their quad one record was one and eleven. Yeah,
so their one quad one win Oklahoma with a poor
conference schedule or a record as we said, with six
and twelve, they were forty three in the net.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
But they have seven quad one wins. Yeah, it's you know,
And that's one thing I'll say. I think a lot
of people would look at a team like Oklahoma. Here's
the thing, Dan, And I'm not some SEC homer because
like I was the guy on these airwaves saying, you know,
during the college football playoff conversation, I thought SMU should
get in over say in Alabama. The thing I'll say

(10:48):
that what makes it tough about all these SEC teams.
You can sit there and say, well, they have these
awful conference records, but like Oklahoma was undefeated in.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
The out of conference.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
They beat Louisville, which has obviously been a top twenty
team most of the season. They beat Arizona, which of
course was a top twenty team for most of the season.
They beat Michigan, which was so like they have good
wins by the way Georgia was on the bubble. They
beat Saint John's in the out of conference. Saint John's
is steam rolling through.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
The big Big East.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
So this SEC thing isn't just a bunch of teams
that are bad in league play, And what does it
mean like they have good wins out of conference, doesn't
mean that any individual one is going to get in
or get left out. I still think there's some teams.
You know, Oklahoma's squarely on the bubble. Texas I still
think has work to do, but they all do have
things on their resume that reflect that they should be,

(11:36):
you know, kind of in that NCAA tournament.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
He's aeron Torres. I'm dan Byer. Arkansas another team on
the buzzle, a buzzle bubble. They lost almost at the
buzzer today. To Ole Miss did have a last chance,
but ole Miss ends up winning that game at three.
I think Arkansas is surely in. But still when you're
talking about last four buys, last four in first four out,

(12:00):
it is a team that ends up popping up. And
you mentioned North Carolina. They beat wake Forest earlier today.
A lot of people feel wake Forest is on the
outside looking in. I will say, you talk about the
highlights of the day.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
I know we haven't really talked to Cooper flag in
this hour, but if you talk about bubble, almost the
best case scenario for North Carolina. You never want injuries,
but the Duke win is the one that will put
you in the tournament if you get it, and now
you're gonna be playing Duke with quote as John Shire
said it almost certainly that's not really his quote, but

(12:32):
he basically insinuated the kid's not playing.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
We actually have the sound. Yeah, I think we do
have the sound. From John Shire earlier in the game
or earlier in the day after Duke ended up beating
Georgia Tack and he was asked about the Cooper Flag
ankle injury that he played. This is what the Duke
head coach had to say.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
I would have to be like convinced by everybody in
the locker room when I go back that he should play.
You know, it's it's not worth it. You know, it
just doesn't And again, I mean he was swollen already.
It's not about being ready to go tomorrow. That's not
the most important thing for us. We got to see
if we can get him right for this run that
we can make in the tournament. I would have to

(13:08):
be really convinced that we should even consider seeing if
he can go tomorrow. And he may not be able
to go anyway. He probably won't be able to go anyway,
but I think it's a real long shot.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
You brought up the most important important point earlier, Dan,
is that if john Shire gives any indication that Cooper
Flag will not be available for the tournament, the committee
could use that to kind of judge their seating or
change their seeding. You know, if they're not going to
have a full roster, if they're not going to have
the roster that put them in position to get this

(13:40):
number one seed, the committee can use that against him.
So I thought it was a great point by you
earlier in the show, which I know people will check
out on the podcast, is that he kind of has
to say what he said in the manner that he
said it.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
I don't think we're seeing Cooper Flag of yeah, there's
there's zero chance, and I know something feeling hey, if
he's healthy enough, go out and play, do your thing.
I just that doesn't make sense to me, And especially
when you look at where the bracket is for Duke
in this situation, they can take the longest time pretty
much of any team in the tournament because of Raleigh
hosting first and second round games on Friday Sunday, and

(14:14):
Duke likely wouldn't be playing at night anyway, so it's
not like they have to rush him back to make
sure that he's ready for Thursday. He could take the
whole week, he could take up to that point. And heck, honestly,
if you're playing a sixteen seed, you probably can take
him to Sunday. I know if that is needed in
Cooper flag situation. But you don't want to say to
the fact of that he's going to be out because then, yeah,
it could affect your seeding. It wouldn't remove him from

(14:36):
the one line. Duke is going to be a number
one seed. It's just what number one seed are you?
And right now they're in the running for the first
overall seed, considering they beat Auburn earlier this year, and
if Duke would continue to run through the ACC I
still think that would that would play a big part.
One other big thing happened tonight on the basketball court,

(14:57):
and it happened with Steph Curry. This is what it's
not like on the Warriors radio network. Curry what I want?

Speaker 4 (15:02):
He loses the ball deflected way picked up by Looony
back to Curry pop fake fly by three.

Speaker 8 (15:07):
Ball by the way, number four thousand for Stephan Curry,
the undisputed author of.

Speaker 4 (15:14):
The three point Rule book, and the three point record.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Book has had another chapter to his toll. It's Steph
Curry four thousand three pointers. This fresh off of him
passing the twenty five thousand point total recently, but now
four thousand three pointers. I saw Dan Feldman, I believe,
who covers for Who covers the NBA for NBC said

(15:38):
that there were thirty eight hundred three pointers made between
nineteen eighty and nineteen eighty two. So now Steph Curry
is outpassed those three years in the NBA for three
point shots. Crazy, But another feather in the cap of
Steph Curry, which, by the way, I would think Aaron Torres,
because I don't think that the game is going to
be swinging this much. We start to talk unbreakable records.

(16:02):
There is going to be a pushback to the three
point shot at some point in the game of basketball.
It just it has to be. It cannot keep continuing
like this. Boise State today's shot forty threes in their
game against San Diego State is the most ever in
three years. Just the point, everybody's shooting threes, right, that's
what you do. It's a mid range jumpers are obsolete.

(16:22):
So at some point I would say between now and
in the next fifteen years that there's going to be
some pushback, some resistance, whether it's extending the line, whether
it's who knows, adding another line some way. I would
almost feel that Steph Curry's records are going to be
daring or unbreakable because I think the game is going
to change because of him. It changed because of him

(16:42):
in a good way, and now it's so leaned that
way with relying on the three point shot that I
think at some point you're going to get pushed back
and it's going to change another way.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
Celtics took sixty three three pointers against the Oklahoma City
Thunder on Wednesday night, so it shows you how much
it's changed. I think it's an interesting point. Sports are cyclical.
And here's the other thing too. I think it's pretty
apparent at this point just listening to Adam Silver that
he doesn't want as many three So I don't know
if it's a rule change. I don't know if it's

(17:10):
moving the three point line back. I don't know what
it would be. But I hadn't really thought of it
from that perspective, but I do think it makes a
lot of sense.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
I look at EMMITTT. Smith's rushing record in the NFL.
This is Jason Mike talk about unbreakable records or have
I've seen the clips of Jason talking about it? And
I feel like EMMITTT. Smith's record is unbreakable just because
of what the running back position is now gone through
in the NFL. Like we had Adrian Peterson and Frank
Gore hanging out for a while that they were up there,

(17:39):
but now when you look at running backs, the usage,
how long they actually stay in the game, EMMITTT. Smith's
all time rushing record is basically going to be untouchable
in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Can I give you one really quick yes? Very Marchie
Yukon right now is currently on a streak of twelve
straight NCAA tournament wins by double four figures. You think
about what would have to happen for that to be broken.
That's assuming they don't extend it this March. You'd have
to have a team go not only go back to back,
win every game by double figures back to back, and

(18:12):
then come back a thirty year and do it again.
And like I said, I think they could in theory
extend it to thirteen. I don't think they'll get it
to fourteen or fifteen.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
But I mean, come on, that's a pretty crazy requordy
it is, and it is as well because it's not
like you can because it's a winning streak with that deficit.
It's not like you can have one whole season and
parts of two others because it means that you'd be
lost and knocked out and so that the streak would
have ended. So you're gonna have to win your six
for a title, another six for a title, and then

(18:40):
win that next game by double digits, which if they
were a higher seed than maybe what they're gonna get,
it could continued.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
I think that streak can get to thirteen this March,
I not fourteen. I don't think it will get to fourteen.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
He is Ra Torres. I'm Dan Byer in for Jason
Smith and Mike Carmen. As we are live from the
Tireraq dot Com studios. We're gonna run up the show
with our worst day of the calendar year. The only
reason we say that is because Aaron Torres, his best
day of the sports calendar, has got about an hour
and forty minutes left. As we are on the West coast,
it's already expired in the Eastern time zone, and the
same thing with the Central you got about forty minutes

(19:15):
in the Great Mountain time zone. Aarin of the Greatest Day,
But there are still games going on. Whack quarter Final,
Big West is happening. You've got it up on your
computer as well. It's always sad. It's always sad when
your favorite day ends. So when we on the show,
We're going to find the worst day on the sports calendar.
Hit aerin up at Aaron Underscore Torres he got me
at Dan Byer on Fox. Coming up next, What is

(19:39):
up with Aaron Rodgers? And we continue our Battle of

programming note, Sunday, You and I will Get Together. Is
this the sixth or fifth year of our selection show

(21:28):
special on Sunday as the bracket is released at six
o'clock Eastern time.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
I don't know if it's consecutive. I do know that
we were supposed to do the show in twenty twenty together.
We did do a show on Selection Sunday of twenty
twenty together, there was just no bracket to release, So true,
if it's been consecutive without a break, then this would
be six years in a row. I think it's at
least three to four. I don't know if it's been
every year, but yeah, privilege, honestly, man, it's you know.

(21:56):
I know you've kind of teased throughout the show that today,
this Thursday day of Championship Week, which is now Friday
and most of the country is my favorite day of
the year. But Selection Sunday there's something special. I'm so
again honored to be on air with you, and you know,
I don't know if Carrie is, you know, taking the
day off or whatever, but I appreciate Kerry giving me
his seat.

teaming up a few hours prior to us on Sunday. Fantastic.
So yeah, So they'll get your set and then it'll
be Steve Hartman taking the airwaves, and then you and

his mind. Reports are saying that the Pittsburgh Steelers are
waiting to hear back from Aaron Rodgers if he wants

(22:59):
to be their starting quarterback. The Steelers on Thursday did
make a move and bringing back Mason Rudolph. I don't
know if that's a sign at all. Aaron torres about
Aaron Rodgers availability or lack thereof, but Mason Rudolph did
play well for the Steelers in the time that he
took over, took him to the playoffs when he ended
up being the starter at the end of the twenty

(23:20):
twenty three season. Aaron Rodgers to Pittsburgh. He's leaving them waiting.
I just don't know how long Pittsburgh can wait. Maybe
they can wait a long time. Maybe they'll just let
this thing keep on going and going and going until
he makes up a decision. But Mason Rudolph will be
back in Pittsburgh really quick.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
It feels like it's coming down to Giants versus Steelers.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
Do you have an.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Opinion on what you think, assuming that he is the
top priority for both and I think we kind of
think that he is. Do you have an opinion on
what you personally think Aaron Rodgers should do, because I mean,
I'll just be quick. Steeler's always good, but obviously a
brutal division defensive head coach. They go through quarterbacks whatever

(24:03):
Dable at least is an offensive guy.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
You got Melik Neighbors. I would want to throw the
Elik Neighbors, but I'd want to be coached on Mike
Tomlin staff. And we've seen them actually go back and
forth a little in the times that they've played. Hasn't
been a ton of times where Rogers and Mike Tomlin
didn't go against each other in a Super Bowl, but
there seems to be that sort of veteran, you know, respect,

(24:27):
and I would be curious to see how Rogers would
be in that situation with someone like Tomlin, because he
obviously didn't respect Robert Salah nope. And I don't know
how much he respected Matt Lafleur in Green Bay, and
we know about some of the times of him and
Mike McCarthy maybe butting heads. So I think this would
be a real opportunity for us to see what it

(24:48):
would be like with another with a coach that he
actually respects.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
Well, and I think a coach that's not going to
put up with the nonsense and the coach and a
coach really maybe the first one that would have more
level than he would Robert sala didn't, you know. I
think with revisionist history, you could sit there and say, well,
you know, Lafleur whatever. Lafleur was a first time head coach.

(25:12):
Rogers got along with him well enough where it wasn't
an issue and they had enough success, but Lafleur didn't
have the upper hand in that relationship. Mike Tomlin, it
would be very much my way or the highway kind
of deal.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
He's erin Torre's. I'm Dan Bier. Let's go to the
news desk. Moncey Milanios is here, and then we wrap
up our Battle of the Sexes game is Moncey and
bringing a Murrow team up to take on me and
erin Torres. What's going on, Manzi?

Speaker 7 (25:36):
You know a lot of stuff, Dan, I'm trying to
keep up here.

Speaker 6 (25:39):
In the Mountain West quarterfinals, still going on between.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
You and l V and the Utah State Aggies.

Speaker 7 (25:47):
The Aggies are of.

Speaker 6 (25:48):
Sixty five to fifty two with about three and a
half minutes to go in the game. It does seem
like they're gonna win. But there's been a lot of surprises,
and so that was home in Kentucky.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
It ended up Kentucky did with right.

Speaker 6 (26:00):
So it's like, I don't even want to say it,
but yes, this game is still going on. Other things
that I've wrapped up, I'm gonna give you just like
a quick rundown. In the Big East quarterfinals, Yukon pulled
away in the second half defeated Villanova.

Speaker 7 (26:11):
Seventy three to fifty six.

Speaker 6 (26:13):
They're gonna face Creighton in the semi finals.

Speaker 7 (26:15):
Number six Saint John's will take on.

Speaker 6 (26:17):
Number twenty five Marquette in the semi finals. As well
of the Big East, the Big Ten second round went down.
Number twenty produced survived seventy six seventy one against usc
They're going to face number twenty two Michigan in the quarterfinals.

Speaker 7 (26:29):
The other quarterfinals are also set in the Big Ten.

Speaker 6 (26:31):
Number eighteen Wisconsin taking out UCLA, Number twenty three Oregon
facing number seven Michigan State, and.

Speaker 7 (26:37):
Number twenty four Illinois.

Speaker 6 (26:39):
We'll take on number eleven Maryland in the SEC second round.
Fifteen rank Kentucky won eighty five eighty four against Oklahoma
thanks to a game winner from.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
Otega Oway is, Did I say that right away away?
I really has a brother on the raven. He just
didn't say it is confidence.

Speaker 6 (26:56):
I didn't say it is confident. Yes, Oh yes, I'm
glad I got that. The Wildcats are going to face
fifth ranked Alabama in the quarterfinals. The other second round
quarterfinals will see will be Ole Miss who.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
Talked Arkansas eighty three to eighty.

Speaker 6 (27:09):
They're going to face third ranked Auburn Texas upset fourteenth threat.

Speaker 7 (27:12):
Texas A and M.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
Fourteenth ranked Texas A and M.

Speaker 7 (27:16):
They're going to take on eight ranked.

Speaker 6 (27:17):
Tennis ce and number twenty one Missouri faces number four
Florida in the ECC quarter finals. Number one Duke is
gonna take on North Carolina, but we don't know if
we're going to see Cooper flag because of that injury.

Speaker 7 (27:28):
Probably not.

Speaker 6 (27:29):
Number thirteen Louisville edge Sandford seventy five to seventy three.
Don a buzzer beater from Chucky Hepburn. So the Cardinals
are going to take on number ten Clemson in the
semi finals. And the NBA, Steph Curry reached four thousand
career three pointers made and the Warriors have now won
six in a row after outscoring the Kings one thirty
to one oh four, but Curry just ended with eleven
points in that one.

Speaker 7 (27:49):
The Wizards defeated the Pistons in Detroit one twenty nine
to one twenty five.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
Lukadancic had forty five points and eleven rebounds, but it
didn't matter because the Bucks crushed the Lakers one twenty
six to one oh six and San Antonio star Deer
and Fox is gonna undergo season ending surgery Tuesday for
tendon damage in his left peaky Back to you guys, all.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Right, Manzi's gonna hang out. Let's get the game role
when time is a waste. In Battle of the Sexes,
tied up at seven apiece men versus women, Me and
Aaron against Brie and Monzy, let's just dive right into
the questions. I'm going to throw one up to you
ladies here in round number six. In a twenty twenty study,
who is in more car crashes total total in twenty

(28:31):
twenty in the United States? Men are women?

Speaker 8 (28:34):
You know?

Speaker 7 (28:34):
My dad says women are bad drivers. But I want
to prove.

Speaker 6 (28:37):
My dad wrong, and I want to say men, but
I don't know if that's right.

Speaker 9 (28:40):
I'm unfortunately I hate to say it. It makes me nauseated.
I'm gonna have to say women. I feel like it's women.
I feel like it's I'm personally I think it's men
because I've always gotten accidents. Men have always screwed me over.
But I'm gonna say women. All right, We'll finally answer
the women.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Let us you completely understid made how dumb? Forty five
males are five point three nine million men were in
accidents in twenty twenty three point seventy two women million
three with my young guys are very stupid, I.

Speaker 7 (29:14):
Will young guys.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Old guys well, you know, I mean at least were
drive responsibly.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
But all right, ladies, go for a brief.

Speaker 9 (29:22):
Alrighty, are women or men more likely to initiate divorce?

Speaker 3 (29:29):
I think it's men. Really, I think it's women. Wow,
lay it on me. What's the argument? I men are
too lazy? Eh, We'll just say so. Yeah. I think
like if men are unhappy, they would be more likely
to cheat, where women are unhappy that they would just
be like, I want out. And I think we had

(29:49):
a cheat question earlier we gave and men was higher.
So I'm going to say women, you talked me to it. Okay,
final answer, Wow, nobody, I don't know. Thank you very much,
Thank you very much. I think give the greatest defense
of men or women in that one. But that's where
we are, all right, where we are? We're up ninety seven?

Speaker 6 (30:10):
All right, okay, according to the World records, Are you
guys up or is it?

Speaker 5 (30:16):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (30:16):
Sorry you guys? I apologize. I'm sorry, I'm just getting excited.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
It's okay.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
According to the World Book of Records, all right, simple question,
who gets my Who gets migrains more men or women?

Speaker 9 (30:31):
Oh, I'm gonna say women. I've never I don't think
i've ever met I met, like me, one guy in
my home.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Davis super Bowl thirty thirty two.

Speaker 9 (30:40):
Okay, but yeah, I don't know football players CT.

Speaker 7 (30:44):
I kind of consider that all together. So I don't
know if I want to count.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
That disrespect to the migas.

Speaker 9 (30:48):
I'm so sorry, but that's just.

Speaker 7 (30:50):
My I'm gonna say, women, Wow, what do you think?
Because I already.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
Literally have never had a migraine in my life.

Speaker 7 (30:58):
Really, I'm a sufferer.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Yeah, all right, we're gonna need a final answer. Women,
that's correct, forty three percent to men just eighteen percent.

Speaker 7 (31:09):
Wow, Carrel Davis trying to throw me off our dam.
That was not gonna work.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
Almost all right, nine to eight, we're up.

Speaker 7 (31:17):
All right.

Speaker 6 (31:17):
So, according to the World Book of Records, who has
the largest mouth a man or a Womanish.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
I'm glad this is on it one on the east Yeah,
the East coast. There's a lot of different ways this
one can go, I'm gonna say, I know it's got
the loudest mouth. That's my wife. Oh no, I'm kidding.

Speaker 4 (31:39):
It's not the same though.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
I'm going to say a woman.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
Oh, I mean, I would think a man, like genetically
a man, just everything's bigger, you know, height, weight.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
I would think those big teeth would get in the
way of the mouth where the teeth, you know, like
if they weren't as big, you could have I'll go,
I'll go with yours. That's fine, let's go in final answer,
that's truck question.

Speaker 7 (32:07):
It is a woman. She's from Connecticut. Maybe you know her,
Samantha Ramsdell.

Speaker 6 (32:13):
It's six point five to two centimeters.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Basically, she have the metric system in Connecticut. This sounds
made up.

Speaker 6 (32:20):
She can fit like an entire can, like a whole apple,
like a whole Yeah. No, yeah, she's she's winning at life.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
All right, this we're gonna do. We're gonna take a
time out right here because we are tied at eight.
We have three questions left, yes, in this Battle of
the sexes. Plus there are some other things that we
got to tie up. There's still basketball going on in
Las Vegas between Utah State and unlv Utah State in
the tournament and it looks like they're gonna move on,
but we'll let you know what happens there. He's erin Torres.

(32:48):
I'm Dan byer, Brie and Monty are hanging out. Shay's
our technical producer. We all return next to the Jason
Smith Show with Mike Carman here live for at the
tirerec dot Com studios on Fox Sports Radio. Jason Smith
Show with Mike Harmon. He's erin Torres. I'm Dan byer
In for the guys. So glad that we were able
to hang out for these four hours. Thanks to Jason
and Mike for allowing us to take over. You could

(33:10):
stream this show in all of our Fox Sports Radio

will always pop up at the top of your screen.

(33:30):
We are allowed for the tirech dot Com Studios. Three
rounds to go in our Battle of the Sexes, and
it's tied up at eight apiece Monte Belanos and Brianna
Muro against Erin Torres and myself Dan Byer. All right,
we're gonna folly it back to you, guys. Erin Torres
has a question for you in round number eight. You
get our questions a lot more easier to decipher than

(33:53):
the ladies questions.

Speaker 9 (33:54):
I feel like we actually turned it around and have
made it a little bit more friendly for you.

Speaker 3 (33:57):
I feel you have as oh yeah, yeah, often just
making sure we're not double different. Three seven and ten
is what we have available. Three seven and ten.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
All right, we'll go to number three in men and
women age twenty five to thirty four, who has more
bachelor degrees? Men or women?

Speaker 7 (34:20):
I'm gonna say whim men.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
I'd let you say women the last couple of times.

Speaker 7 (34:25):
I'm gonna go men, and I'm gonna you know what, Okay, fine,
I say men. We're gonna say men.

Speaker 4 (34:33):
Maazi really took control wheel on that one.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
When we're just talking about car accidents. Ye, well, forty
seven percent of women, thirty seven percent of men age
twenty five to thirty four.

Speaker 7 (34:43):
I just like men go to trade school. It's a
lot more often, say.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
The theme of this segment is men are really dumb?

Speaker 3 (34:48):
How have you not picked up on that?

Speaker 4 (34:50):
We get in too many car accidents and we don't
get enough degrees.

Speaker 6 (34:52):
Okay, there was a specific age, specific age, you.

Speaker 7 (34:56):
Know what I mean?

Speaker 9 (34:58):
I was, yeah, yeah, you go already. So who's more
likely to be left handed? Women or men?

Speaker 10 (35:07):
Different side of the brain. It's got to be women,
I think so too. All right, let's go women. Final answer,
kind of start it all right?

Speaker 9 (35:19):
Still time are twenty three percent more likely to be
left handed?

Speaker 4 (35:24):
You know it's all those dads making them throw left
handed to get to the major leagues.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
Yeah. Who recycles more ladies on a regular basis? Men
or women? Question number nine, I'm.

Speaker 7 (35:36):
Gonna say women.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (35:38):
I feel I hate to always go back to women,
but I'm with you. O. Yeah, I think women will
recycle more.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
Yeah, that is correct, weir. Aaron thought that was the
easy one. Aaron thought like that, I gotta find He said,
I gotta find a different question. That one is so easy.

Speaker 7 (35:53):
So what's update to score as a right now?

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Seventy seven percent of women recycle sixty seven percent of
men recycle. It's nine to seven and women in favor
of the men. But we have a chance to believe.

Speaker 7 (36:03):
In we're still We're still around.

Speaker 6 (36:06):
Who has the record for crushing three watermelons between their
thighs the fastest?

Speaker 7 (36:10):
A man or a woman?

Speaker 3 (36:15):
Gotta be gotta be a woman. All I could think
was the one where the lady takes it to the
face on the sling shots, right, I don't know, a
watermelon to her face? Yeah, like she think you're pulled back?
It just you guys ever seen video?

Speaker 8 (36:31):
Yeah, it's from like they're playing like they're doing like
some game show or something like that. It's like Survivor
and like she like has a slingshot shoots.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
It's gotta be women back at her. Yeah, do you
have do you have a take or a lean on this?

Speaker 4 (36:43):
I just don't know how you get hit in the
face with a watermelon.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
I don't know this is yeah right, but I just
watermelon activities, gotcha?

Speaker 7 (36:52):
Okay. I just wanted to make sure.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
We're gonna go women for the sake of time. There
it is.

Speaker 6 (36:56):
It is correct from the Ukraine did it in less
than fifteen seconds, prushing three watermelons in her between her thighs.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
And she also broke the heart of millions of men.
Probably yes, all right, Aaron Torres, you got the final
question you asked? Is the number seven? Number seven?

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (37:17):
Are there more men or women licensed drivers in the
United States?

Speaker 3 (37:23):
That's gotta be men.

Speaker 9 (37:26):
I hate Yeah, I feel like it's men unforiately, which
is like nazaty like I hear the story more that like,
oh my wife, my girlfriend doesn't have a license, then
my boyfriend or my husband doesn't have a license. Yeah,
especially in like rural areas, like guys probably drive a
lot more like in trucks and stuff.

Speaker 7 (37:42):
So I'm gonna go, yeah, we'll men.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
Men very definitive in your answer. Wow, women, I don't
believe that one point four million more women have their
license than men.

Speaker 7 (37:55):
I don't believe that. I would like, I would.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
Like the article set I've got it somewhere in the
history that drops you guys down to eight. So Aaron
and I get this question.

Speaker 7 (38:05):
Correct, No, we will win, alrighty.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
If not, there's a tiebreaker in place.

Speaker 9 (38:12):
What is the name of Chloe Kardashian's gene line? It
is either good American or cut from the cloth, but
cut is with the K and cloth is with the K.
Cut from the cloth or good American.

Speaker 3 (38:30):
I feel like Bree went into detail too much. Yeah,
to like try to throw us off because of the
That was my exact thought. Act. Okay, so we're gonna
say good American.

Speaker 9 (38:39):
Yes, I don't know you were gonna say that break
cut from the cloth?

Speaker 7 (38:45):
O K K yes, all right, congratulations you guys.

Speaker 3 (38:51):
I guess men, I guess superiod. That's what we learned
on Jason and Mike's Battle of the Sexes here on
Fox Sports Radio. More car accident, it's dumber. What was
the other one? Less bachelor's degrees? A lot. I realized that,
and Aaron mentioned this that I had a lot more
women winning in there in these certain sort of events

(39:13):
or topics than men.

Speaker 4 (39:15):
The thing is, though, now that the game's over, there's
also just more women in America, right, So, like.

Speaker 3 (39:21):
So this is what we learned last time, was we
thought there were more women in the in the world,
but there's actually more men.

Speaker 4 (39:27):
Oh really, yes, well, is that like a China thing?

Speaker 3 (39:30):
Like I don't know, I'm not sure. I'm not sure
exactly on what the breakdown is, but we have the
same right, Brix. We thought that the it was there
were more women. One of us got the wrong the
men of the women.

Speaker 9 (39:43):
I actually had a theory about like Scott Peterson.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
You know, yeah, there.

Speaker 4 (39:48):
Are multiple murdered wives. Yes, I heard this theory. It's
quite a theory. You watched probably too many time. He
has produced five of my shows. She's brought Scott Peterson
up twice. One time she swore we had the dumper.
That was the first time. So this is, yeah, this
is what's going on when when Brianna Mural takes over.
I do want to say something Shay. Okay, I'm gonna

(40:09):
try it, Shae technical producer, Mo hung Guard.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
That was your worst one? Oh Mo hug Guard. That
was a little better. Okay, what is it, mohun Gard? Okay.

Speaker 8 (40:20):
For the people that don't listen on Sundays, we have
this ongoing bit where Dan Bayer tries to get my
last name right.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
Yeah, I am trying. There's there's no joke about it.
I'm trying to get a cruct because I just don't
want to say technical producer Shay. I don't want to
say that Shay has been learning the technical ones and
twos from Alex tonight and Shay, you've done a great job.
Thank you. I appreciate that great work. I know it's
not easy sitting behind there, so thank you for all
that you've done to.

Speaker 4 (40:43):
By the way, in honor of Jason and Mike, I
was working with Mike the first time that he worked
with Manzi and had to throw over to the news
desk and uh, do you remember that Manzi? He he's
you know, he got in his own head with your
last name.

Speaker 3 (40:55):
I don't know the three point record book.

Speaker 11 (40:59):
All right, it's been fun. You're gonna be in Tomorrow
Nights four Hours ever. Thank you guys for having me.
You're gonna be in tomorrow night with Ja, Jason Martin.
You guys are in for Mike and Jason. I'm gonna
